Why does knockout, a perk given to a chainsaw killer, require him to use basic attacks to gain benefit? Would he really be that OP if it worked on any knockdowns? It's not that good of a perk to begin with because it's countered by having a microphone.14 comments 231 views last activity

A feature I'd like to see implemented is a survivor/killer map ban in lobbies. Killers pick one map to automatically be banned, and the survivors vote on a map to ban. If the survivor vote gets tied, the game picks one. This would prevent each party from getting stuck on a map they hate, and also do away with the map offering system that's currently just used by troll SWFs and Michael Myers6 comments 111 views last activity

As we all know, Clown used to be pretty bad. However, since his buff in 4.0.0, the dev stream showed us the hidden potential of this underrated killer. These days, you see him in every game mercilessly running down SWFs without heed. You can't play a game at high MMR without running into one of these sweaty tournament Clowns. I'd like to propose some nerfs to at least bring him down to Freddy's l41 comments 902 views last activity

Is if you're a rage quitter. I see a ton of comments trying to say "but what if muh internet goes out? what if I get a power surge?" If your internet goes out, your ban will be over by the time it comes back up. Same thing with a power surge. If your internet/power is going out over and over, you have bigger problems than needing to play DBD. These comments are from rage quitters that35 comments 391 views last activity

I was playing on Gas Heaven as Jeff against Legion 2 days ago, and it seemed that I would get extremely loud chase music at random times, as if the killer was right on top of me. It seemed like when he hit one of my teammates with Feral Frenzy, the game would think that I was also being chased, no matter how far away I actually was. This made it hard to play the game because I couldn't hear mysel4 comments 81 views last activity

Before this thread starts, yes I'm aware of how busted OP MoM was on release, I don't want to go back to that. Also, please refrain from the whataboutism. The problem is with the prerequisites. If I can't heal without the killer making a mad dash for me, I can't get the perk to activate. On top of that, I can't get downed or I have to start all over again. The perk simply has too many activation40 comments 261 views last activity

Title says it all. There's no reason that you should lose your standing on the ranking system because the killer made a mad dash back to your hook and killed you as soon as your feet hit the dirt. It's not something you can control, and don't come at me with "git gud". The only people that last all game without being hooked are usually the immersed Claudettes that do nothing.2 comments 31 views last activity

Ever since Scott Jung's "boring killers" video, this forum has been plagued with parrots that don't want to form their own opinion and instead spam "muh counterplay too hard" any time Deathslinger is brought up. Actually playing this killer will show you the counterplay: Have ANY OBJECT in between you and him. He can't down you with a shot if there's a pallet, rock, barrel, car or even another su37 comments 501 views last activity

When I heard that Billy was receiving an overheat mechanic, I thought "Oh, so he won't be able to charge back to every unhook all the time? Good, less toxicity and proxy camping". What we got instead were nerfs to skillbilly (feathering, twitching etc) while his ability to charge back to the hook in 2 seconds and tunnel the victim down was unchanged. They left in the mechanics that enabled toxic7 comments 121 views last activity

The broken key can be a very useful item, and I like to pair it with Blood Amber so I can loop jungle gyms and the like more easily. However, the fact that it looks exactly like the skeleton key usually causes the killer to equip a mori in the hope of taking it out of the game as soon as possible. The difference in power between the broken key and its other variants is GIANT, and I think there sh12 comments 261 views last activity

This is a problem that has been happening every ~4 matches or so the past couple weeks. When I join a lobby & ready up, my PC will blackscreen when the offerings are supposed to come up and my fan will turn way up. I have to shut it off to end this. At first I thought it was an overheating problem, but my PC doesn't feel notably hot. I thought it could also be a power supply issue, but I ru0 comments 21 views last activity

Speaking in terms of balance, it's always endurance perks that end up being the most abusable. You see it now with the BT/DS/UB meta loadout, we saw it last year with the MoM/instaheal scumbag loadout, and since Soul Guard's introduction, it's been added to the meta survivor loadout as well. Second chance/endurance perks encourage toxic play-styles and act as training wheels that take mediocre su0 comments 31 views last activity

Explaining everything to your new friend in KYF mode is currently very boring, as trying to show them how the Endgame Collapse works requires that I make them just... sit there and repair gens. Not a good way to make them feel engaged. Trying to explain certain perks also requires that I do it right the first time. If DS gets used but they still don't understand or miss the skill check, we can't0 comments 11 views last activity

I want to love this perk, but even trying to pair it with "synergies" feels like a wasted perk slot. The bonus is just so TINY that it never actually affects the outcome of a chase. Just a slight number buff might make it worth taking, but as it stands you need to watch a frame-by-frame replay to notice ANY difference in the kicking or vaulting speeds. If needed, you could even give differen1 comments 41 views last activity

Since Scott's new video, there have been a lot of discussions about what killers are "fun" or "unfun" to play against (fun usually just meaning "easy to bully"). I don't think the use of this metric will yield any positive changes if it's normalized and the balance team starts reading into these threads. I know I'm going to get responses along the lines of "Its not a competitive game", but the fa83 comments 1,123 views last activity
