It provides absolutely no advantage over the regular terror radius, it's purely for folks who need a visual alternative. So this is new: https://twitter.com/DeadByBHVR/status/1638179448255320069?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Eembeddedtimeline%7Ctwterm%5Escreen-name%3ADeadByBHVR%7Ctwcon%5Es1 As far as accessibility options go, this is an interesting one. It solves a lot of hearing-impaired issues. That is to say, assuming this IS for accessibility and not just a broad, survivor-wide information buff. My quest34 comments 2,153 views last activity

Let me start by saying: thank you for the bot games. They make DbD a much more enjoyable experience. There were a few bot behaviors that stood out as counter-productive, however, that could probably afford to be fixed: Bots seem to enjoy throwing the pallet in front of themselves, then slowly trying to climb over it. Putting in some kind of a "am I on the wrong side?" check in there would be g0 comments 31 views last activity

I've stepped away from DbD for a good long while and decided that the Halloween Event would be a fine time to check back in to see how the game has changed in practice. I decided to play enough games to get all the cosmetics and finish up the killer side of the event bloodweb. I played Demogorgon for the entirety of the event because 1) killer mmr is per-killer (for no good reason), so I wanted5 comments 251 views last activity

The gimmick is that the survivor and the killer are the same person, just split by the entity into two people. Their models would look similar (both wearing fine suits), but the killer would be covered in blood splatter and hoisting a big, silver axe, and his face twisted in a huge, toothy grin (with only dark pits where his eyes should be). Making NOED reveal itself to survivors over a progressive period of time is certainly one way to nerf it. But how about a little parity? Survivor boons should also reveal themselves to killers with an increasing sight radius.1 comments 31 views last activity

Not only are the announced Meta changes reducubg Ruin's regression by half, it now AUTOMATICALLY snuffs itself out after one survivor dies. That's got to be some kind of joke for a hex totem that can be snuffed in the first 10 seconds of a match. It's over. It's done. Just make it not a Hex any longer and call it done. There is zero reason why it should be a hex any longer.11 comments 131 views last activity

I have a considerable amount of BP built up over the last six - eight months from all the log-in bonuses and promo codes that have been coming hard and fast (since MMR), and I as debating what to do vis-a-vie the anniversary event. On the one hand, I could just play 12 games to get the masks, eat the lost points, and keep sitting on the stockpile until the revised Prestige system goes into effe3 comments 101 views last activity

Since before the advent of a formal MMR, people have been asking for a "casual" mode of DbD (with the volume increasing after MMR went live). But one thing that rarely comes up is what exactly that entails. How do you define the parameters of "casual" and how do you change the rules of the game to make it less "sweaty?" My proposal is that you identify the main complaints that both sides have and16 comments 81 views last activity

Based on the movie "Arachnophobia" The Spider - aka The General, is a previously undiscovered species of Venezuelan spider which possesses nearly human levels of intellect and a malice for all non-arachnid living things. Despite having 3 venom sacks and a bite twenty times deadlier than a Black Mamba, the real danger the Spider poses is his ability to marshal and direct the movements of a legion4 comments 112 views last activity

This question is for folks who have bought/played against the new legendary costume for The Cenobite: I know in the preview video, the Chatterer cenobite skin shows him doing his cinematic 'teeth gnashing', but does the in-game killer actually do that? Do survivors see him chattering or the killer hear the character making that noise? Or is the outfit purely a Pinhead reskin, without any additio5 comments 181 views last activity

As a preface: when I started this game, I recruited five other friends to play along with me. After a few months, only myself and one friend remained. The other four quit citing just how boring and repetitive the generator repair gameplay loop was. Certainly, this is a very small sample size, but I can't help but think that there are plenty of people who would enjoy the option to mix things up, e2 comments 11 views last activity

What do survivors hate? Getting camped Getting Tunneled How do we fix it? Make the struggle meter slow down based on killer proximity. The hook state does not diminish while the killer is within a close range (16 or so), and diminishes slower if they're in a proxy range (32 or so). Assuming the MMR system increases Killer wait times instead of dropping them in whatever lobby needs a killer, how long would you feel would be reasonable?0 comments 11 views last activity

So, currently Moris are totally pointless. They save one hook from being disabled and maybe undercut a Sabo Squad. It's nothing. They said they were going to take a second pass at Moris, but I have a different proposal: Bake the Green Mori into all killers passively. Killers should have no right to getting a 4k every game, but survivors also should have no right escaping every game. All 4 surv12 comments 91 views last activity

While putting BP into Nemesis, just before I finished a web, I encountered an error code that dropped me into the "click to begin" title screen. On returning to Nemesis, the Blood web I was about to complete was empty and all the spent BP were gone (as if I had spent them). This has happened twice, once when I was sub-50, and once while I was at 50. I have not spent BP on any other killer recent0 comments 1 views last activity

Re: this thread - https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/258465/rite-of-the-nemesis#latest The daily Ritual "Rite of the Nemesis" requires the player to reach Mutation level 3 for Nemesis FOUR (or maybe 3-5, but it says 4 on my quest) times. The Nemesis does not de-rank from Mutation level 3, unlike The Shape, meaning that this quest must be completed over a minimum of 4 different game1 comments 32 views last activity

This just came up for me: "Rite of the Nemesis: With the Nemesis, reach the maximum of the Tyrant Mutations 4 time(s)." Does that mean this daily ritual requires playing four matches with Nemesis? I don't think his mutation rate goes down like Meyers' Evil Within. Surely this is a bug or mistake.11 comments 251 views last activity

Rank 12. Noticeable but not unreasonable increase in killer queue times (3 minutes, up from 30 seconds) 1 - Ghostface: Rarely played killer. Matched against 1,4,5,5. 5 Gens done. 5 hooks, 1 kill. Very poor matchmaking. 2 - Ghostface: Rarely played killer. Matched against 4, 4, 4, 15. 4 Gens done. 12 hooks, 4 kills. Possibly over-ranked survivors. My feedback is to change the "Ritual of the Blight," the daily ritual requires you to use his Lethal Rush to DOWN (4) survivors. My proposal would be to change it to: use his Lethal Rush to HIT (4) survivors. Considering that killer-specific MMR never materialized, it is excruciating enough trying to learn how to play this extremely user-unfriendly killer. This daily quest just puts the added st0 comments 31 views last activity

In the last week or two, every time I leave DbD after playing a match, the game itself 'closes' but Steam lists the game as "running." Checking the Task Manager, I can find no instance of DbD actually running. Any attempt to launch the game again is met with a Launch Error: ["Error Code: 30005 (CreateFile failed with 32.)]. If I manually close Steam, this also closes DbD, but restarting Steam and1 comments 51 views last activity

The latest update brought Killers a 12-pip wheel that fills in as survivors are hooked. However, if a survivor dies for any reason, all of their "hooks" are added to the wheel in the exact same color. The end result is to show how many times the remaining survivors must be hooked before the game is over. The issue here is that filling in pips automatically does not provide useful information. On the Red Envelopes, it says "Only playable during the Gilded Stampede Event." I assumed that meant that next year any unused envelopes would still be around, so I went through a bunch of blood webs on a bunch of killers stockpiling them. Imagine my surprise when I logged in to find them all deleted from everyone. I get that they're not anniversary cakes, but if they were only going to EXIST fo5 comments 141 views last activity

Forgive me if this has been discussed to death already, but I didn't see any threads about it with a cursory search. When the matchmaking was overhauled to divorce your ELO from your rank, there was also talk of a unique ELO score for each killer, so that players wouldn't be penalized for playing a ton on a favorite, then trying out somebody new. Was this system actually put in place, or was it3 comments 51 views last activity

The recent Mid-Chapter update discussed looking back at the Silent Hill content, and mentioned that his Punishment of the Damned is up for review. While the merits of changing this ability may be discussed at length, the seemingly more pressing aspect of his kit that could use a thorough review is his core "Rites of Judgement" ability. At present, the Rites of Judgement allows Pyramid Head to sl0 comments 1,131 views last activity
