Killers make up about 20% of the population, so your percentages are way off. Given the game is a 4v1, that means 80% are Survivors and 20% are Killers. People need to realize that not each Survivor should be equal to the Killer.
Do you understaand percentages? its not about the 80%/20% ratio, I dont know what to say when you wite such things, let me spell it out the 1-5% are top players, say there were 10k survivors in total playing so that is 100 to 500 players they balance on leaving the other 9500 at a disadvantage.

Pushing an agenda? You mean like the corporate agenda you keep pushing? The "it makes the cash so keep doing it" agenda? Please. I can have issues with something and still love it. The two are not mutually exclusive and the fact you can't grasp this concept baffles me. Push an agenda? I'm just giving feedback bro. You're taking what I'm saying super out of proportion. It doesn't matter to me what the rest of the community wants, this is why we have opinions and forums, for everyone to give their opinion. And in my opinion, the game is extremely unfun for most Killer players. Funny you mention saying the same thing over and over again.
Seriously what are you on about? do you beleive what you write? an agenda is something someone keeps pushing regardless if it will ever change just because they that is all they want, saying I am a corporate aplogist again is really laughable I am just saying how it is in the business world and I accept it, I am not one who goes around ignoring simple facts, hating yet loving a game calling it junk, thats just sad, really sad.
To say the game is unfun for MOST killer players, please, send me the actual figures of how many think that way otherwise its a fictional number you want to beleive as it suits what you think, think about it if that were the case you would see thousands more stating their opinion, the fact that the MAJORITY dont tells you they are fine or accept how it is.

And one product can sustain indefinitely, or at least an extremely long time. Look at TF2, a game that came out over a decade ago and still has over 100k active players, and still gains more every day. This is because the game eventually went community based, they listened to feedback, put in community weapons, requests, and maps, and it made the game flourish.
Yes like CS:GO, DOTA etc all valve games they pushed, you miss the actual reasons these games do well, one they are free or cheap, two they are one of the best at what they do, three they keep adding content, now look at DBD and tell me they are not similar in terms of those games in what they do? it is just that DBD is more of a niche product.

Again, Killers make up 20% of the population and there are still a good number of Survivor players that agree with me. I can direct you to a few Discord groups for a couple hundred of them. I have no issues facing the same people over and over as long as my matches don't take 20 minutes to find. I play Overwatch and face the same people plenty of times, this is an irrelevant "issue" for me. The ranking system and balance are two completely separate issues. The ranking system will always be flawed if the balance is flawed. You can't just neglect 20% of your playerbase. The only reason Killers are still in this game is because most Survivors are incapable of playing without perks like DS and SC (this is a fact based on BHVR stats, 80% of Survivors use SC). If the game was properly balanced, SC would get nerfed from pickrate alone.
Yes killers make up 20% of the population but the whole issue is in this thread, I may agree with some of the things you say but I dont agree to them all, some will also have the same views with myself, so take you figures a couple of hundred of them, no think about the owners of the game and how many play daily/weekly, DBD when it was around 18k average has over 250k players log in each month so it will be more now, so lets go off 500k, 20% of that is 100k so your couple of hundred is the minority statistically speaking.
Perks are irrelevant and some do need balanced and I beleive DS should be removed but thats not what this thread is about, its about how people play the game and hwo it affects the majority of players not just the ones who gen rush, if you take stats killer average more kills than escapes, the last figures the devs shown were each killer had between 55-60% kill rate sodoes that mean killers are OP? not in the slightest but it means the game is almost at the 50/50 mark or close enough.
weirdkid5 said:
Except it doesn't debunk anything, because many of these numbers are already conflated. The 63k peak was during a month that had a FREE WEEKEND, so obviously many players are going to log in. Also copies that were sold for free on either PS4 or Xbox One count towards the 5 million figure. Fortnite releases new content, but also continuously gains new players, and is a free game. DbD, outside of free events or seasonal events, has a hard time maintaining a playerbase beyond 10-15k. This is why they churn out so many events now, to artificially pad playtime and incentives players to not miss out on exclusive content.
Of course it does, the 5 million figure is for Steam only not console, the stats I say are for Steam only not console so there are many more to add if you want to bring them into it, DBD releases new free content you can earn through playing, new DLC to purchase where as fortnite sells skins and faster XP rates etc, both have a business model but they differ that is all, DBD has peaked below 20k ave per month since may 2017, come back when you research figures a little better.

This is the point of forums, to give your personal opinion. And in my personal opinion, the game is terrible for Killers. Making the Killers better WOULD be better for the game overall because it would bring the challenge back to the Survivor side. When Survivors have to resort to trolling to get their fun, it's because they are too powerful for the Killer to reasonably do anything against.
That may be so but in many people's opinion the game is terrible for survivors, making the killer batter WOULD be better for how you want to play that is all, it does not mean it is better for the overall game and the vast majority of players, this is what I mean about an agenda, you think your way is infallable by how you write, its fine to have an opinion but that shouldn't be pushed to an extent where the game is junk if they do not do it.
I think some killers need buffs, I think some maps need reworked, I think some perks need reworked and some removed but I dont go hating on the forums and calling a game I like junk if they dont do it, thats just childish, I give my feedback and if they see it and like it then so be it.

Except games like Overwatch, Siege and Warframe, which greatly reward returning players with cosmetics, proper ranking systems, and new skins that warrant loot box purchases, daily login bonuses etc.. This is how Overwatch makes most of its money, not through new purchases. Playing doesn't give them money, I stopped giving money to BHVR back when Clown was released. Warframe ONLY makes money through Platinum purchases, and you can earn Platinum in-game without buying it. This is because Digital Extremes prioritizes player feedback over making money, and because of this, they are HUGELY successful, the most successful free-to-play ever made.
The vast majority disagree with me because the vast majority can't be bothered to actually use some damn skill in this game, and BHVR enables that behavior with their constant negligence of SWF and genrush.
You cannot compare those games to DBD, those games have set powers roles and are equal pair ups, they also have matchmaking to seperate the skill levels, warframe is F2P, they sell items and you gain them in game again much like DBD just a different bussiness model, apart from licensed killers you can earn every other one via play time, you also have the shirne which for the most part has rubbish on it but it still allows players to get things for free by playing.

I think it says that you have to visually reaffirm the things you believe in because you are delusional.
I think you may be talking about yourself with that statement, dellussional to the degree where you think your opinion is THE only one that counts, the devs have made a game which blew away every expectation they had, people like the game, people play the game, they are making goodmoney off the game and guess what, they make it how they want too and so far their decision have been correct as it has worked, so the highly vocal minorities such as yourself mean very little in the grand scheme of things, ponder that the next time you write the same things over and over as its akin to a child not getting their way and thinking crying till they do will work.
-
It's a lesson to leave and not give the killer a hit sitting around for no reason my having gloaters, yeah it can suck if you are being chased out legitimately but in the end that's what the perk does.
-
As said could be a typo but it has been done before with an apology saying it missed the patch notes.
Not a huge buff but it's significant enough to an already useful perk it should be stated if its real. -
It would only make the game fair for the 1-5% can't you see that? So for the vast majority it would make them OP.weirdkid5 said:Killers being OP isn't what I want at all, don't conflate that. It isn't the balance's fault that, even with top level Killers, top level Survivors can still roflstomp them. Making the Killers better wouldn't make them OP, it would make the game more fair.
weirdkid5 said:You are using some ass backwards logic right here man, I'm just gonna say it. The reason forums exist is to give feedback and opinions, if you don't like that then you probably need to stop going to forums. You telling me this is being a corporate apologist and I don't deal with those kinds of people. You are exerting your own opinion right now on the forums, making yourself a hypocrite. You are complaining about people complaining, man that's pretty low.
Yes to give feedback but once you go over a certain point you are pushing an agenda, constructive critisism is fine but to keep saying the same thing over and over goes way past that, maybe you should chill and think about why you post the same things over and over, survivor OP killers need buffs!, now thats some far flung rubbish, sorry but a corporate apologist lol, sorry I am simply stating facts which you dont seem to want to hear, I am not stating an opinion by saying its the devs game that is a simple fact, they can chose to listen or not but by posting the same thing over and over about how you personally think the game should be does not change the devs vision, you obvisouly have major issues with the game while saying you love it so who is the hypocrite? I am not staing an opion I am asking why you feel the need to push an agenda? so I ask again why do you think that you know better than the devs of a highly succesful game?weirdkid5 said:Small percentage of complainers? That's why their stocks are taking a nosedive right? It goes beyond them "just making money" when people's livlihoods are being ruined, employees being let go because they are trying to cut costs, due to not catering to players opinions anymore. The fact you make this just about money makes me believe I'm talking to a BHVR secondary account right now.
Yes a small percentage, any forum has a small percentage of complainers compared to those who play its common knowlegde, you yourself have to realise you are in the minority,do you know they lost a lawsuit a week or so ago and closed a game down? Deathgarden which is in a really bad state, who is to say any of that is due to DBD? it is their saving grace and a huge revenue of cashflow hence buying it for 16million last year, they are doing well enough to have a chinese company invest in them in October, so do you personally know they cut staff on the DBD team? I'd wager they did not it was for the other less successful games which is what companies do as one product cant sustain everything else indefinately its economics 101.
Well thats on you, its a choice you make to play as it is for everyone but you obviously are burned out and maybe you are in the 1-5% of players, games do become easier over time but that not down to just balance, its down to the individuals you are playing and how easy it is to get into your rank bracket, is it easy or are you simply better than most? catering to your personal needs would then break the game for the majority, do you thin kthat is right? yes they could seperate the skill levels but what if like the 20-16 zone people then complain they cant find games? or they play the same people over and over is that fun? they concentrate on the MAJORITY of players, you may not like it but any game such as this will do the same where all the players are lumped into one place.weirdkid5 said:No, I'm not enjoying as much because the game is too easy. This is one of my favorite games of all time, and I'll play it as much as I want. The game has clearly become something different overtime, with the devs catering to the lowest common denominator in order to cash in.
Ultimately, whether this game dies or not isn't my point. My point is that I will continue to speak on this junk regardless if it will ever be changed, so I'd advise just ignoring me if you don't like my posts.
weirdkid5 said:It's pretty irrelevant how many long in that day, because at any given time there is a stagnant number of players that is way lower than their "5 million purchased" copies. A brand new update just came out and a new event is on the horizon, so numbers are reasonably going to rise.
Why is irrelevant? because it debunks your 10k a day false stat? look at every game out there and see how many players they sustain, even the biggest games lose most of thier players as many dont stick around for hundreds of hours, they just had the largest aount of peak players ever at 63k a couple of months back, the game has been growing steadily and like any new content always does this, take Fortnite they release events all the time to keep things fresh do you think DBD should be any differrent? CS:GO peaked at 620k but has 20-50million buyers I think thats all that needs to be said on that.weirdkid5 said:This is the most dismissive and pointless thing you can say. I guess you don't understand the concept of consumerism, because as a consumer of the product, I have the right to give my feedback and it's up to the devs if they wish to listen to it or not. And guess what? That is literally why the forums exist mate. If your mentality was the prevalent one, then Killers wouldn't be slowly getting buffed as this new update does and forums wouldn't exist at all. But unfortunately, since the forums DO exist, that means BHVR at least wants some kind of feedback.
Overall, they can keep gaining new players if they wish, but retaining players would allow them to make even more money. See, if you knew anything about business, you'd know that if you make compromises among your consumer base, you retain customers, bring back old ones, and still attract new ones. But BHVR would rather just maintain the status quo.
Actually it is not when an agenda is being pushed, you are by no means trying to make the game better for the majority but for yourself which is wrong, while I have pushed for killer buffs myself I do it to make certain ones have a fairer chance to balance them agaisnt the majoirty of the playerbase, if you cant handle how it is thats on you but dont think you have the moral high ground in any debate when your personal agenda is more important than the majority of players.Again most games will go for new and exisiting players, exisiting ones do not bring in the revenue of the puschases so balance is between them all in a game such as DBD, they will never get it perfect but to be so agry at them, calling the game junk goes beyond and shows more personal issues maybe underlying, its a game get over it, in the grand scheme of things there are thousands of others the only way to show a company they are wrong is to not play or purchase anything which seems you are failing to do by playing at least and the vast majority also disagree with your points as they play and enjoy keeping the growth the game has had.
Yes it is such a simple and obvious concept but everything you write with seems to say you dont grasp it, what does that say about yourself?weirdkid5 said:You just won the award for the most obvious and pointless comment anyone has ever said. Hope you're proud of yourself.

@weirdkid5
Balancing a game such as this over the top 1% even 5% does not work, it only works when you permanently seperate different skill lvls which this game does not and seems to not be anywhere in the devs future plans.
If you balanced it on those players then killers would be op for the rest making the game less fun and more try hard competative and like I said that doesn't seem to be what the devs want.
If you are not enjoying the journey why do you still play? I don't enjoy many games so I don't play, I also don't go to their forums and think I know better, constantly complain when they are successful with what they have, its a simple concept to grasp that it's not my game designed for myself.
You can say what you like about the big players but they still make a ######### ton of money, it's a business nothing more and the goal is to make a game the majority like not what the small percentage of complainers want.
I think you like the concept of DBD and are just upset your not enjoying it as much anymore, you may possibly be burned out or as it happens frequently have just done your time and maybe need to think about moving onto another game.
Yes the vast majority, if only 10k players played it there wouldn't be a daily peak of over 30k average and 21k playing now without an event, that's also peak number so gou have to think how many have played as some play an hour and others 10 so your figures are far from how many players have actually logged in that day and played.
If some players think they know better, prove the devs wrong, group together and make a game to compete but please don't try to tell a successful company with a successful product because from a personal standpoint you think they are doing it wrong as that's highly laughable.
It's a game play if you enjoy it or don't, it's a choice and not everyone likes everything hence how saturated the market is. -
The problem with a lot of people in this thread is they seem to deem what they want is how the game should be.
The emblem system is a clear example of what the devs envisage, not competative play, not easy kills or easy escapes but an engaging chase, hide, evade and objective game where players have fun.
Fun of course being subjective but the fun should be in the journey not the end result or you miss out on the majority of the whole experience.
This video shows one extreme which is not what the devs want but on the flip side they also don't want survivors to be downed and all killed in 4 mins which can also happen, anyone can post a video showing an extreme but the average normal game is not this and these types of players don't get much BP in the end and the game is about BP more than anything else with the huge grind that it is.
There is no point debating what you personally want the game to be, if you are not happy why do you play and why not put all the energy you use to complain to make you own game?
DBD is very successful and has been growing so that says the vast majority enjoy it, it is also common knowledge the majority of players dont visit the forums often as they are happy enough and don't need to complain.
So ask yourself why the devs should listen to what you say and not keep going in the direction they are if it is working from a business standpoint. -
This has been posted many times since 2016 and nothing will change.
2-4 man SWF make up over 50% of the player base they will not put them in a seperately lobby where it will be harder to get games. -
Well the new matchmaking makes everyone join at once so in theory that will no longer be an issue.Master said:Well what about 3 man lobbies?
Is someone leaves once a lobby is made then it can either disband or you can then leave. -
The only problem is ping which can be determined before you join a lobby with dedicated servers, everything else is simply down to a players viewpoint.Master said:BHVR should be able to punish DCing properly when they get dedicated servers.
However, in order for lobbydodging penalties, there are a lot of problems that need to be fixed first
Like you said you dodge for 4 flashlights and that's down to you not enjoying it, it is however part of the game and they enjoy using them, so in theroy you should be fine with items and player skins being hidden in the lobby since you are ruining the other persons fun.
That's the main problem is you think it's not fun for you so its ok, they may not find certain killers or add-ons fun but you do it's a double standard, who is right in that debate? No one is as if it's part of the game it's fair to play and you should not have a choice to cherry pick what others should do as that's just another of the players made up rules. -
Fact is so can killers but does it make it right? Dcing is bannable so why not fix lobby dodging?Master said:Fact is that survivors ARE ABLE to dodge certain killers moris and iridescents, and they regularly take advantage of that ability

You seem very hung up an an us v them mentality when the solutions is to stop both sides from trying to cherry pick.
The simplest way to stop lobby dodging is to timeout people which increases the more you so it bit only if its under a set ping. -
So by this statement you then also believe survivors should be able to dodge certain killers and add-ons, like the Nurse, mori's, iridescent's etc since they also bought the game to have fun, if not that's a highly hypocritical viewpoint.Master said:Should? Yeah maybe we should stop climate change too.
And even if those killers stopped playing the game, do you really want that? The survivors they usually play with will now be matched with a "killer with balls" and queue time will increase even more.
In the end, its a customer that has payed for the game to have fun with it. Either you punish him for lobbydodging, which is impossible due to the broken matchmaking, ping etc, or you accept that he will play the game until he gets bored.
If someone buys a bag of jelly bears, but he only likes the red ones, then he will pick them out even if it costs him some extra time. He will not simply throw away the whole bag
Imo It's a terrible idea to allow any of this to happen, it's a game accept it for what it is and If your not having fun then why play at all? -
The only thing they could do is allow them to make skins in a workshop but I don't see that ever happening as it's a revenue stream for them.
Maps can be made in favour of one side so that's a terrible idea, imagine a survivor making a map which doesn't allow the nurse to blink through objects as they dislike her, having the devs test each one would also be too much work and take away from fixing the games actual issues. -
I have dced once or twice in a few hundred hours and that was due to the ping being stupidly high and unable to move without going further back than forward.
-
The rank system has always been broken, apart from the beginner lvls nothing has changed since launch.Master said:Stats are completely pointless as long as the ranking system is broken as it is atm.
Also, the devs are aware of "certain balance problems", at least thats what they said regarding the depip squad experiment, but we are still waiting for the implementation of secondary objectives e.g.
Stats are relevant or they wouldn't show any or want balance to be a 2 kill 2 survive scenario.
The point still stands if those who dodge for games without certain items etc do so they skew those stats going against what they actually want the items to be balanced as the good killers will verse then making them seem weaker than they are. -
The game does have a very steep learning curve.
It's better to learn the mechanics of the game and get better without perks, you will be a better player in the long run, If you start with the best perks you start to rely on them and will always think you need them.
The thing to always keep in mind is it's a game, never worry about winning whatever means to you and just have fun learning, rank means nothing just play for bloodpoints to lvl up and eventually will get the build you want over time, 50 hours is nothing in terms of learning this game, it is a lot more fun when you dont worry about what you need to do.
-
Who said anything about rank 5 or any ranked nurse? Did you not see the word godly in my post? Yes it's difficult but it can and is done, the amount of god tier nurses is actually quite low.Hesmart said:I'm not saying about Rank 5 Nurse. I'm talking about very professional rank 1 Nurse. There is no chance, no jukes, no stealthy, no movements can beat a rank 1 Nurse... Isn't competitive, Isn't fair. Is just a lost game.
Rank 1 professional Billy otherwise is balanced. He sure can win most matchs, but is a fair game.
As I said the problem players have against nurse is down to them using the same strat as they do against other killers. -
It's probably more to do with it being a Steam advertisement as that's where valve earns money.TAG said:I find that strange, considering neither Left 4 Dead game is PC-exclusive. Maybe they didn't want Bill on PS4 since L4D wasn't on a Sony console and just decided to leave out Xbox as well to be fair? -
Ps4 Joel from the last of us, he fits more than Ellie imo as she is a kid, Joel could easily be a Bill clone using his perks.
Xbox is hard since everything is also out pc of now, exclusives seem to be dead. -
I know that I was simply putting that in there as each thread about it has been mostly killer mains complaining that must be getting dodged, hence the double standard I was mentioning when they dodge for items etc.Vietfox said:No one is talking about MLGA.
Dodging because of ping is fine because it's not a game feature. Swf and items ARE a game feature.
When i play as a killer i never dodge, why can't they do the same?
If they don't have fun with the current system then they just need to go play something else. That's what i would do at least.
-
Well most competent killers do well in most matches even those who don't run ruin so maybe your not in that bracket, not trying to be rude it's just so many blame the game and never look at what skill level they are at.witulo said:Adrenaline is two perks not one, so get it right to be begin with. The ability to INSTANTLY HEAL and gain 5 SECONDS (up from 3) of original sprintburst is beyond ridiculous. The game already goes fast enough as it is, and with ruin being destroyable in first 3 secs of game, how can a competant killer compete against a 4 man swf gen rushing? How does anyone compete with that. Obviously you're the oracle, you tell me.
-
Wll this thread shows is a double standard and the devs need to sort it.
It's wrong to dodge on two fronts.
Firstly players are dodging not just for ping but because they do not like something should stop playing, it's a game each and everything in it is fair game, I'd bet eaxh one who dodges would think MLGA is unfair if they got dodged most of their games for how they play.
Secondly it's shooting yourself in the foot as it removes the stats the devs need for balancing, if only the good killer versus these players with toolboxes etc and still do well it shows they are balanced.
-
How players interpreters the game is up to them, personally I haven't heard them call the game competative in a hardcore sense, yes they put a killer versus survivor but how competative it is comes down to how you perceive it is.Gardenia said:
Well then they need to make up their damn minds on whether they want it to be a competitive game or a casual game. I'm tired of this pseudo competitive BS, why include a rank if their going to do that. They could've add another way of separating experienced season players from the non experienced players. Why the hell is their a reset? They've been teetering on this edge for so long, and they don't change any of the core mechanics. Honestly, they themselves have encouraged a competitive playstyle and as such you have both sides going to extremes.
The rank system has never been competative it has always been about how much time you had to play, its a grind to give a sense that you are achieving something nothing more, anyone that has played more than 50 hours should see that and most posters here will argue rank means nothing.
The emblem system also shows they want you to do more than just the sole objective, what does this say to you? To myself it says they want more interaction with all the players not simply down and dead or do gens and out.
Now in a highly competative game you would be highly rewarded for doing your sole objective with optional extras so how the players choose to take the game is down to each one of them. -
But that's the thing if the majority of matches are balanced as the kill ratio shows then does it not come down to the gen rush as shown in the video being the smaller percentage? If not there would be no rank 1 killers and they would not on average kill more than survive.PandaChris said:@twistedmonkey said:
What can happen and what does happen are always two different scenarios.I fully understand that. But you are now talking about % chance. What is more likely, getting gen rushed or having a huntress with not only Iridescent Head but with the combination that gives them 3 1 shot down hatchets. So i feel its flawed to say, ya you might get gen rushed 20% of the time (random number) but thats okay cause you might get a huntress with that loadout 5% of the time. Both can happen sure but that doesnt mean they should be compared just because they "can" happen.
I think the biggest issue in this whole game is some take it way too seriously, DBD has and never will be a highly competative game, the words the devs use most and fun and engaging now what is fun to players is subjective but to be truly competative in this game you need to play in certain ways most say are not exactly fun.
Once people realise a game is for enjoyment, you don't always win and that the game is about grinding more than anything else maybe they will learn to relax a little and stop the whole us v them, nerf this buff this attitude which has always been the game of this game.
I posted a video earlier where tru got a 4k 18 hours before the ops video with a no perk wraith, does that mean the Wraith is not balanced and too strong? That's a laughable comment to be fair but it proves a point as if this was such a major issue a some make it out to be it could never happen. -
What is shows is what can happen like the original gen rush video shows but it's not the norm of games or else the average ratio of kills would not be around 55-60%.PandaChris said:@Vietfox said:
In less than 3 minutes:Thanks for the video. So survivors have no issue with just being slugged? Is this the direction we want to go with the game? Not to mention he is downing with 1 hatchet throw using Iridescent Head.
I think this video just shows under the right circumstances a slugging huntress with one of the best addon combinations in the game can win a game within 3 minutes.
If you can find another video that would be great.
Edit - I am sure you can find Mori games also. But do survivors actually want to face insta down builds and mori builds 99% of the time because thats the only way to compete with objective time?
What can happen and what does happen are always two different scenarios. -
I think it has more to do with the legion not being fun to play against, yes they can be beaten and easily at times but the mechanics of them are just tedious.
It's akin to killers dodging lobbies for certain items or swf but survivors dont have that option and for good reason. -
And this is why they removed killer profiles from the lobby.
It's a case of deal with it, nurse players can be bad or god like but they are beatable by not playing how you do versus other killers.
Be stealthy, don't use your normal pallet or window dash, change directions while running sporadically and try to escape them as if you try to run a good nurse around you are going down. -
It's legit ignore those players they just don't know to stay closer to the buildings when running.
-
I wouldnt call it camping like camping a hook or the hatch at the end of a game in that scenario as you are waiting on it closing.
You are simply trying to stop them from escaping before the gens are done which is what any normal killer would do imo. -
https://youtu.be/FWxKEsGMq9w1
4 man Wraith no perks, Wraith must be to strong he must be unbalanced even trutalent can do it
You win some you lose some but it shows it's not how each and every game goes. -
I never once said the killer was a victim I simply pointed out counters, you know the same way you pointed out blocking a DS dribbler what's to stop those killers getting a free hit?ForeheadSurviors said:I love how you try and make it seem like the killer is the victim while in that situation, completely leaving out the fact that with the pick up animation speed the killer can either get a free hit and turn around or a free down and turn around again. Great logic there , put you as an developer for a week the game would have an catastrophic downfall.
Just like you said great logic, now try posting a proper counter argument instead of trying to just deflect as your first post stated a counter which works in this scenario as well. -
They should remove all notifications once you get out the 20-16 zone imo, I'd like to have to be aware again instead of being told everything.

The music IS part of the games functionality and the whole sound environment, sound in this game is just as important as sight and thinking that allowing people to turn certain sounds off which give them an advantage over others is a good idea boggles the mind.KissyKissy said:Nothing more, I guess. I just guess we agree to disagree. I guess no one can convince me why aesthetic qualities trump functionally. Oh well
Sound is part of the games mechanics and not simply an aesthetic in this game. -
Noob first got banned for hacking legacy and then got temp banned for exploiting a place on the map where the killer couldn't get too showing it on stream it's a completely different scenario.ForeheadSurviors said:This is an exploit ... Anything neither side can’t counter is an exploit , for people saying its the same as juggling a DS survivor to the hook no its not, you can counter that by body blocking.. And personally youtuber Monto abuses this and nothing’s happened to him but when noob3 did an exploit he got banned. And its funny devs haven’t looked into it when its been mentioned a few times
Did you think about the counter before posting? Like DS dribbling they can be body blocked, the killer has to drop the survivor giving more time to wiggle out, chose to chase the survivor who has the flashlight by means of slugging the other one who can be saved or risk being flashed upon the next pick up.
All of the above gives the same result as a flash save the one being picked up does not go on the hook. -
There have been many oversights in the game like looping, swf, moonwalking to name a few but none of them are exploits it is simply using what you have in the game that works.piekiller45 said:If it's an oversight on the devs part it would be considered an exploit.
Dribbling to avoid flashlights would come under the same as DS dribbling it's not intended but not an exploit it becomes part of the game and a strat. -
No i dont think its 100% intentional but its also not an exploit per say, it wastes time for the killer and also means the survivor gets more of a chance to struggle for each drop.

The Halloween music is imo the most iconic out of all the licensed killers, it is also the easiest one to probably take a snippet from and Implement and be highly recognisable.
Who knows if the licensee's also never gave permission to use the music for the others. -
You say you want the ability the hear other sounds better to give you an advantage and others keep telling you it's part of the balance how it is so people can't get that advantage.
What else needs to be said? -
The thing about unbreakable is the unknown, with a medkits having that ability everyone knows it's a possibility so it removes certain possible clutch plays, it's like a killer slugging a no mither player it doesn't make sense.Nickenzie said:However, unlike Unbreakable... You can see that the survivor has a Med-Kit and know they can recover to the injured state If they have at least 16 charges. You can just pick the survivor up and hook them, no perk is needed there. Therefore, Franklin's won't be mandatory when you can just make it mandatory thing to pick a Med-Kit survivor up and hook them.
I'm not against slugging anyways, this is just some common sense if you have something to heal yourself in a dire situation. Wouldn't you do the same if you had a Med-Kit in your hand and you're bleeding out?
You are missing the point we do have something for this scenario in the form of a perk but you sacrifice a perk to use it.
Yes you can see a medkit so It's common sense that any killer would simply run Franklin's nullifying the use of it for the most part and also its removing the slugging strat from the game as its also common sense that the majority of killers would simply hook you, so overall the change is useless.
It's a pointless change that is not needed. -
I don't think anyone is taking it as an Insta heal rather a free rescue from being downed.Nickenzie said:
Before you say it's a "OP" buff, are you sure that you understand everything because mostly everyone has taken this as a free insta heal being baked into a Med-Kit.
Bigblackmori is also correct it would make Franklin's becomes mandatory for a lot of killers out there meaning the whole idea is useless and removes diversity.
Its a buff which is not needed imo as there is unbreakable which does exactly as this would but with a medkits being able to bring you out the dying state you don't have to sacrifice another perk which could be more useful. -
Not a great idea as all it does is make killers hook everyone, slugging is also a strat that has it's place in the game if needed and it removes this ability from the killers, it also makes unbreakable a useless perk and removes the not knowing scenario of someone possibly having that perk, having 3 slugged and someone has unknowingly unbreakable creates some amazing moments.
Medkits are fine as they are Imo apart from Insta heal as I think that should have a set of circumstances to be usable such as you cannot be in a chase. -
It's hard to really put a definite yes or no answer due to many variables.
Personally I really dislike deranking as it allows good players to bully newer or less skilled ones but it there are also valid reasons to do it.
The problem comes down to the ranking system, right now getting to rank one is about time invested nothing more.
The red ranks are not a fun place to play for a lot of people, I have heard many people say it, it is full of players who are overly competative which makes them play differently, which is fine as it's how they want to play or feel they need to, the other problem is queue times as these can be a lot longer which may be in part due to derankers.
Another problem is the toxic userbase who like to taunt the other side and play in a way for revenge, flashlight spamming, tbagging, camping if they do etc.
How do you force somewhere to play somewhere they do not enjoy? What happens when those players decide it's not worth it, do they stop playing when they reach a certain point within the month? some players can get to red ranks in a matter of a few days, being a business I can understand the devs reluctance to force this issue.
-
The rules are the rules it's on the devs to sort the queue times at the red ranks but dcing affects everyone else in your game by loss of time, points, items and offerings.
The ones who abused dcing when it was a certain killer, survivor items, map or anything a player simply didn't like in a match are to blame for the current rules.
-
Well its a game where you can help others or not, nothing wrong with saving yourself and using others only for your benefit, it's not how I play solo but it gives me a laugh when people get upset when others do.

This story was first published in September 2016 minus the legion.
Since then the game has had up and downs but in the last year has been growing more than anyone expected. -
It does make sense, most large patches or dlc release on Tuesday and Thursday.
Tuesday as the steam store updates and Thursday as its normally around a stream. -
Well you stated it has to be Thursday or Friday due to Xbox in one post so how can it then be a possible Tuesday?AntiJelly said:Dead by Daylight patches have always come out on either Thursday or a Friday due to Xbox.
AntiJelly said:If the devs want to release the updates at the same time on all platforms, it has to be a Tuesday or a Thursday. Anything before 2.0.0 has nothing to do with the updates now
-
You do know that the DBD devs actively helped the Identity V devs with there game, it was all talked about on a stream when people posted about it being a rip off of DBD.
-
Please stop spreading false Info, dcing is punishable by a ban it's just done in waves and you need a set percentage, if you dc every time it's an SWF then you will get temp banned as the last stats we had had over 60% of games having some sort of swf in them.Master said:As long as DCing isnt punished........

It still wouldn't make it fun, fun is what games are about and the thing with legion is they sap the fun from the game, there us no need to hunt as he gets shown the way, no need to mind game as I can use what survivors have for counterplay and each time I log on to play survivor and I see them I just want to play another game and end up doing so.Ray_Penber said:Possibly what they could do is just rework Franks mix tape into something else and make it to where Frenzy downs you in 3 hits instead of 4. I don't know, is that too op? What are your thoughts.
Tbh I personally do not have a clue how to make them fun and right now id prefer them to go back to the drawing board and rethink a whole new power. -
It's understandable they just aren't a great designed killer, the power they weild is tetering on an edge and has the potential to be really ok or really weak.Ray_Penber said:I knew someone was going to comment about me whining, but I couldn't figure out how to post it differently. I know it seems kind of hypocritical of me, but I wasn't happy after finding out they weren't going through with that buff. I just don't see what else they can do to his power that will make him viable without reworking his entire power. (Sigh) This really sucks.
The devs with this one have made a killer which simply isn't fun to play with or versus for the most part and going on how they work I highly doubt they will realise this and rework them or change the power they have.
I can't stand legion as they are just a boring killer, its the first dlc I have no interest in ever purchasing.
Imo Legion makes the game even harder to balance now as they break the game, they have no counter play making the game tedious and just not fun.
