While I kinda agree with some of your points, I also disagree with some.

I should make clear that I do not think we should expect a double bloodhunt or deserve one, if it happens sure I will not say no to that. However you seem to kinda get confused on some things.

This has nothing to do with family, you will always be more understanding towards your family and the people you love. We are customers, we are not friends or anything else.

A gift is a great thing and all but when you make the promise kind like this "in 2 weeks on tuesday you will get y from me".. "wow dude, that is so generous and cool of you thanks alot man!". But in 2 weeks I have to ask "so uhm yeah about y, what happened?".

Sometimes it is better to not say that you gift something and just gift it when it is ready because otherwise it makes you look bad.

Also I find it very odd that they push out the halloween outfits, that you can buy already. The clown one is broken as he doesn't have a weapon or just can be seen when you have an attack animation. I thought when they released the feng and doctor outfit afterwards they sure will fix that one but they didn't. Stuff like that is a no go when you ask 10€ for an outfit.

While true I was just using family to symbolise a gift.

Now not all gifts are secret and your birthday from your other half is a gift most expect if it's been the norm. My point was company or not that no one has a right to demand anything other than a working base game and the dlc they purchased.

Now there have and always will be bugs and as I said before that is true of any online game that it ever changing. How bad the bugs are in games is a deciding factor if we enjoy playing them. For the most part the bugs are niggles and the main issue is the vast majority only affect some players which is what makes a lot of game bugs a long process than most think to fix.

I agree the clown should be fixed asap as it's a chargable skin but I also beleive right now I would guess the resources are being used elsewhere as all the upcoming cosmetics for the rift have to be working or the patch could take even longer to release.

  • I like the concept of certain perks removing add-ons effects.

I am not sure if I would put mangled with vigil though as I personally dont run exhaustion perks and its not really worth taking without one. Maybe botany knowledge for mangled would make more sense instead since that makes you a sort of healer role. It then ignores mangled status on yourself and others affected and allows 50% of its base gain speed if mangled. If mangled isn't present it enables the normal perk healing speed.

Vigil it could ignore the effect of exhaustion add-ons and give 50% of the perks recovery while walking and again if there is no add-on present the perk works as normal.

This could be done with a specific perk for each status effect that has a use the addon affects and may help change up the meta slightly while creating some class roles in DBD.

yes this is very true but it works both ways. some people can't aford skins so once in a while freebies is good. but to keep employed people stay in game and purchasing stuff, than at least give more notice if issues need fixing. what ever the issue they must have, they must have known before they told us. not fair to people taking time of work and maybe like i have said before, we wouldn't take time of work if they given us a realistic amount of days to collect it all. MEH!

Thats always an issue with skins and there is always a risk of having some players not being able to play in the time of the event at all. Taking time of work is a choice and events are generally set up so you can complete them and work at the same time which I have done with every event in the past.

An unforseen issue can pop up at anytime and if it's a game breaking bug or its simply not working most devs will work on it trying to fix it up until the last minute as postponing is always a last resort. It's not something any dev willingly wants to do but ######### happens and its something we all have to accept as it's better to be able to play an event that works than one which has issues.

Attack people? If what I did was an attack then what you did was. You target people who take issue with BHVRs practices. Literally my post was just a mirror of yours. If I get in trouble then we both should. Period.

In what way have I attacked people? I have used arguments to explain why we should be grateful for these events, why we are never entitled to them and why some demanding something for free is disrespectful in nature.

This whole discussion shows todays society at it's worst. When something is given for free and some personally start to expect more it shows the value of a simple act of generosity is being lost.

The value of something for free is never about what you get out of it or wish it to be but that you have been giving the opportunity to get it at all.

  • Trying to attack people who think differently never props up an argument it actually has the adverse effect and generally shows they have no way to refute the discussion at hand.

Whether it's BHVR or any other company something for free is and always will be an extra and I will always say the same be it EA, BLIZZARD, Ubisoft. It's not about white knighting it's about common sense and being grateful for any opportunity to even play in free events rather than demanding them.

What ones feels entitled too does not change the fact it's not part of what they actually paid for.

  • @amneoss said:

Most of the players have spent hundreds on this game.

And they can right now play the game they paid for for those hundreds of dollars.

This event is not part of what they bought.

This event is a free extra on top of what they paid for. They dont have to do these but they want too. Players being ungrateful and making demands as they have to wait a little bit longer really shows the true nature of what entitlement is.

  • Rank 11 is very easy an quick to hit. Infact all ranks are easy to get too it just takes time.

Around rank 11 is still where a lot of the new players will sit until they get better at the game and learn not to overly fear doing the objective.

How do you know this is about bug fixes? They never said that. It could be because Nintendo has a strict certification process and BHVR didn't meet the standard. It could be that the power outage cause them to lose progress (because they didn't bother backing things up).

I would be stunned if this thing launches without the bugs from the ptb intact or even worse bugs. I would be stunned if they actually toned down the Rift due to feedback. We all know this thing is going to launch pretty close to what was in the ptb, the only change is that it is now late.

Normally, compensation is given when promises are broken by companies. It's not unreasonable to for players (especially players who've spent hundreds of dollars on this product) to ask for compensation.

That mindset only really works when money has changed hands when the terms of said promised transaction has been broken. No money has changed hands for this event. It's an extra that they never have to give so they don't owe us anything.

The time frame the events start may have been delayed but the overall promise of the event hasn't changed.

Imagine a family member ordering you a gift and it doesnt arrive on time so you expect them to give you something else while you wait. That is not only highly ungrateful and rude but unethical to expect that.

  • The event is something the devs work hard on which changes up some things within the game and give us something to work towards for free. Events are always a bonus and not something any dev has to do but rather chose too.

Never look a gift horse in the mouth. Always be grateful for the events when and if they appear.

The notion that we can demand a release date or deserve more because of a delay for a free event due to unforseen problems is quite frankly absurd.

I don't think you see the problem here.

If a survivors dc, even when we are about the hook him for the 3RD TIME, even when he is about to die ----- he dc? we don't pip.

Which means survivors can take our win away WHENEVER they want, by clicking a button.

Killers can dc too ofcuz, but after you loop them for 5 gens and they dc, you WILL pip, and we killers won't take that win from you by dcing.

Oh ofcuz you can argue killers can dc at the beginning so surv don't pip.

But comon, lets be real here, when was the last time you saw killer dc at the beginning,

and why would anyone do that?

I do see the problem but what I am saying is the problem of someone dcing hurts all players and yes I have saw lots of killers dc at the start especially when certain maps appear. As I said it's not one sided.

They are working on punishing for dc's plus they have talked about a husk system to if someone dc's they can still be hooked. They are also working on changing the rank system which hopefully is a complete rework of the emblem system.

If you're honest with yourself it's not "everyone"

The group of people who don't care about bugs and only care about new shiny things are complaining the most.

The group of people who don't care about the event and only care about bug fixes or the lack of bugs in new content are happy with the delay and voicing those opinions.

You are right. I shouldn't use the word everyone as the vast majority will understand as those who post are a very small minority. Sometimes my hands move faster than my brain πŸ˜‚ kinda like my mouth at times.

I've edited the post. Thank you for pointing it out πŸ™‚.

Literally when have bugs ever stopped them from releasing stuff? Be honest.

A few patches have been postponed or taken longer to release than normal due to bugs. Not everything bug can be found and fixes for them don't always work and can end up making it worse. While it may work on the internal test on live it can affect a lot of users.

Not one game out there that changes constantly is ever completely bug free and most forums for multiplayer games are no different from this one regarding them.

If this thing releases without the same or even worse bugs from the ptb then I will eat my hat.

This delay just means it's going to be late. Mark my words, still buggy as hell and ZERO feedback changes for the Rift when it does come out. It's gonna come out still busted, buggy, and grindy but now its also late.

That may well be the case as bugs happen and are unknown but if they knew something was wrong and pushed it out don't you think that would be worse?

The rift is another discussion as it not being what people wish isn't the same as it not working.

Did you not read the first paragraph and title?

if survivor getting rewards from teammate d/c, why can’t us the killer get it too?

so survivors can still pip from losing teammate, but we are bound to depip???

The killer already does get points and has done for a while.

A survivor can also not pip if one or more dc. Survivors aren't a team unless they are swf.

  • It's actually not as what I said is true and representative of what people on this and other threads have been saying.

  • The points for survivors aren't as much as the killers gets for a DC.

Both sides can also fail to pip if it happens it's not an us v them discussion.

  • The forums get flooded with negative posts when things get released with bugs or major problems and now people post negatively when they postpone a release as it's not ready.

Always remember they don't have to do any events or give us the opportunity to get skins for free but they are. We are not entitled to have anything so at least be grateful for the event happening at all.

It just seems the devs can't win. We have all at one point asked them to not release things if they aren't ready and when that happens people complain just as much.

  • I'm sad also but happy they are postponing it as this tends to say something major was wrong.

  • Maybe because basement face was a strat the players devised but want actually intended.

Sitting in one place waiting while using a perk as your power allows it isn't exactly playing the hunt, chase and down game and it's a strat the devs have been actively trying to entice people away from.

No, I didn't mean in-game VOICE Chat.. I completely agree, I hate games that have built-in Voice Chat!

I was just referring to a chat box.. like if I press "Enter" on my keyboard as a Survivor when I am mid-game I would be able to type something that pops up for my other Survivor Teammates..

I personally don't believe that this would "break" the game, but at the least it would give SOLO Survivors more ways of Communicating with each-other like SWF has.

I would be on-board with a change like this personally.

Again with different languages it could still be problematic and it gives users a way to be toxic by typing things while in game to people. Not to mention having to take the time to type something out.

Now a system that identity v has is you have some phrase choices from a list they made, that may help as it could be a simple button press for a menu and select the one fitting the situation or on PC bind to a set key.

Idk McCote was really clear when he said, "no more exclusives" and wasn't specifying the type of event, but all platforms in general.

I believe Peanits did say that only some skins will appear in the store after 6 months or so. Not all of them, so if you don't buy them then they no longer return.

I'm sorry but at this point I have to disagree with you on what defines exclusive. Not console or even PC has access to the Trapper skin since it is on a completely different platform which indeed does make it an exclusive. Furthermore, it was a pre-order exclusive, only available to those who paid in advance for the game.

Well the question was directed as a PAX exclusive Question from stream 95 and his response was....

Mathieu Cote - ''PAX exclusives... So we don't do exclusives anymore because by doing them, we exclude the console players since we cannot release them on console. But if you're looking for some sweet outfits to get or pieces of flairs to get for your character that will give you bragging rights and things like that, the customization that is coming will be exactly what you're looking for.''

For myself this reads as a direct reply regarding the exhibition exclusives and they stopped them for obvious reasons as stated. I see this as no longer wanting exclusives they could never release on console for PC.

Mathieu has also been quoted by other people on twitter as stating that while they weren't going to go out of their to make exclusives for events and such they weren't going to close themselves off from exclusives for business opportunities when they made sense.

As I said the context needs to be considered. People will always run with such a statement and try to turn it into something that fits what they want to believe.

  • As far as we know only the charms may be exclusive but we are not sure if all will be. The skins themselves should be released on the store after 6 months or so.

The Met trapper mask isn't actually and exclusive it's a reward for purchasing Deathgarden which anyone on PC can buy. Unfortunately it's not out on console yet but if its released they did say it would then be available.

The switch skin well that's just a way to get people to buy it on a specific platform and again not exclusive since it's open to everyone. Most games nowadays do this be it for a pre order or platform exclusive.

McCote's words were primarily for event skins as they used to be tied to the period of the event and then you had no option to get them.

Now everyone has the options to pay to get them be it on the store, a platform or the rift pass. It just depends if you feel the skin is worth it the money.

  • One point I have to state is you don't have to buy any dlc for the challenges. The perks needed will be put on the shrine when they appear for the week πŸ˜‰.

The only part I dislike about that is the grind. Not only do you have to grind the challenge but also the shards to buy it and the chance of it popping up on the blood web.

I would prefer if the perks needed were just available to all for the time period instead.

I hope they did take the feedback and adjust certain challenges accordingly as some of them can ruin the gameplay for the others in the match. If someone is trying to do some challenges it stops them playing normally. I would like challenges to be part of normal playstyles and not divert you from the objective.

Deathgarden fell foul of this and when you saw someone run up and down a cliff or ignore the objective to destroy turrets you were left disadvantaged and it made you just want to play a different match.

  • That would be really cool nice.

It's really down to Valve allowing it though.

  • While I would like coach I think two perks are a bit too much.

Momentum - increases gen rush do you save at the last minute.

Salvation - Direct NOED counter and it weakens every Insta down killer at end game. You could take hits for anyone to get out removing some of the rush and fun oh ######### moments.

  • I would hope so since the serum is tied to them πŸ˜‰.

It also benefits people who wanna try out certain survivor perks before deciding to buy them.

You can see a perks use from watching others or just reading about what they do very easily. No perks really need to be played with to see how they work.

Also as history has shown buying a dlc for perks is never a great idea. If people only bought dlc for perks hardly anyone would own them. Most of the dlc perks end up on the list of not used.

For killers its a different playstyle and for survivors it's a different look.

  • @MemberBerry said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/773914#Comment_773914

And that doesn't mean it can't improve. But hey, you wouldn't have gotten that trusted title if you weren't agreeing with everything devs do, so it'd probably be wise for me to end it here...

I can't see how it would be an improvement to the ptb. It just makes people play a role they are unfamiliar with which doesn't really help with testing.

LOL can have a pbe due to it being equal sides. It only needs 10 players in that area for people to get matches.

DBD would need 4 survivor a for each killer. Since survivors are skins why would anyone play it? They can test perks out on live and still progress characters so it only really benefits people who want to try out a killer which the shards you can earn allows this on live.

What you are asking for may make sense for someone wanting to demo a character but not for actual testing purposes as you want people who know the ins and outs so they can notice when something is broken.

  • Not at all.

Killers is easily playable without ruin. How well you can do is down to your own personal skill and knowledge and for strong players it becomes all too easy much like with some survivor perks.

It's why many perks are seen as a crutches as they raise people's expectations and without them they can't do half as well.

A perk is never needed and when it starts to become that way I personally want to remove it from my build as I feel it makes me a worse player overall.

  • Imo each killer needs balanced seperately for the emblems along with bloodpoints.

No killer should gain less for using their given power over others so yes I agree completely.

  • Balanced.

Perfectly? well that's subjective but at least they take some degree of knowledge and timing to use now.

  • Old sprint paired with balanced landing.

30s cool down even when running and each one seperate. 2 possible sprints boosts every 30s and no stagger effect made it easy to get to a safe spot.

Even stronger when used with old DS πŸ˜‰

  • The streams of the past showed that too much info could actually counter productive. It also showed if an question wasn't answered (they didn't have one as yet) people would jump on it and make it out likenthey didn't care.

They used to be alot more vocal on what plans during streams and did answer a lot more questions but now they have community managers to do this on the forums who I think do a great job. Not everything being worked on is ready to be talked about of course and info can only be given when it's ready.

The devs say it's also our game but that shouldnt be taken in a literal sense. We as players can give feedback and ideas which help but we should never be part of the actual decision process as what one person likes another may dislike and this has been shown time and time again with way too many posters having knee jerk reactions without thinking or trying it out first.

  • The problem is not everyone will play the ptb and the numbers could be small in reality so what needs testing is the major changes that are being made or new content.

They want people to test out other aspects of the game in a ptb but they don't want it to be used as a demo for other killers and why only the newest content is open. Id argue it's best to have people who know how to play other killers test them out in the ptb as they know specifics of how they play so can give better feedback.

You can earn shards to test out killers you don't own so you have a way to try them out and demo them.

The game doesn't have 100k players not because people can't play everything for free on a ptb. The numbers are because it's a game genre which has never commanded huge amounts of players. This is the one game in the genre which has actually kept a large userbase while the others have dropped below 500 players in a couple months.

  • The person playing.

Neither side is stronger unless the person is good at the game.

DBD is one game where I see people think they should do better no matter if they aren't as good as who they verse.

It also has so many variables that perks, add-on's or offering can swing a match in one sides favour.

  • It's just unlucky they used a perk which is barely used for good reason. It's just not that good compared to others and these players clearly fear NOED or Ruin.

Flashlights against the Hag also removes her power and are far more used in games and can be found in them.

Dead Hard can go over a trappers set trap.

Calm spirit negates the doctors ability to find survivors.

Spring burst allows a survivor to run faster than the pigs ambush attack.

The most used out of all of them is dead hard as it works via many killers. Small game was one of the original perks. I think it's just coming to light with everyone saying to use it when they complained about NOED so newer player may be trying it out. I highly doubt any vets would end up using it apart from a meme build.

I really wouldn't worry that much about it as good survivors don't need it versus the trapper. They always check the usual pallets and windows, especially the shack window and long loops. Small game while helpful it's never ever needed against the trapper and still a waste of a slot.

  • Maps are dependent on the killer you are playing.

Trapper and Hag can do really well on Haddonfield the worst considered killer map even more so than some stronger killers due to them being able to break the strong loops.

Spirit and Nurse can do well on any map since very few areas stop their power from being useful.

The tier list would be better off showing what killers are stronger/weaker on certain maps instead of a generalisation for all.

  • It was just put in there listing slow down mechanics. Yes you wouldn't use it on her as people don't heal and it doesnt work with vomit so its pointless.

  • Because its not a fun mechanic.

Imagine stacking it with dying light, thana, sloppy etc it could just end up being pointless trying to do things and you would be forced to cleanse.

Cleansing is a choice and not forced due to you either staying injured putting yourself at more risk or making her more powerful.

  • I like the new lighting. There are dark and light spots and makes stealth not just walking around on a dark map instead you have to plan and use the right areas. The shadows are so much better and realistic now.

With a full moon it's amazing how bright it can get in some countries.

  • You cant use any item when in the dying state. It's just how it's always been and I personally think it's fine as it is.

I completely agree with this unfortunately SWF just has too many options to be strong, but, instead of "showing".. wouldn't it just make sense to allow for an "In-Game" chat..

It would still be difficult to use because you would have to stand still in order to type, and if you have to spam "hook struggle" you couldn't type, but maybe on your first hook you could... the communication would really allow solo players to coordinate with the others.

Honestly, even as a killer main, understanding how much more powerful survivors would potentially be with an "in-game" chat option, I still believe this would be a good thing to implement and a way to fix this "gap" issue people are referring to.. without making any changes that are "too strong" but at least giving survivors a little ability to chat with each other in a match.. it can be really frustrating at times when your teammates doesn't understand what you are trying to do and gets you killed lol..

That being said, if such a change really made it too difficult for killers to win, but I don't think that it would because killers already have to face SWF all the time which is straight up voice comm, then killers maybe could get a couple of other helpful notifications in return, such as I would personally like to see how far the "Struggle" bar is while I am Carrying a Survivor to a Hook! I think that would benefit me a lot in a match having that information available, and I would be happy with a trade-off like that and the ability for survivors to communicate with each other. Or some other similar examples.

    • LIKE KNOWING WHICH TOTEM IS RUIN IF YOU RUN MULTIPLE HEX TOTEM BUILDS -

The problem with in game chat is it allows for much more toxicity and if you have to mute it's no longer viable. People tend to troll and play music and shout abuse it also removes what some love about the game.

Then you have those that live in regions with multiple languages like Europe. That region with 4 solos could have an English, French, Italian and Russian in the lobby.

As I said it's very hard to do it visually in ages but voice chat is something which I personaly think would ruin the game for many players due to what it introduces.

  • @Rydog said:

Yeah, no clue what the deal is here. @Peanits reaffirmed here that the Kindred base kit change wouldn't be happening, which makes no sense since that's one of the most straightforward ways to give survivors a helpful communication tool.

I also still think some level of "See nearby survivors' auras" should be base, with Bond extending that range.

On some mechanics, @Peanits said earlier in this thread: "A group on voice chat could communicate this info anyway (e.g. he's camping being the hook waiting to stalk you, be careful), so it only serves to bring solo players closer to the same level."

Seeing nearby survivor auras, or having the Kindred effect when a survivor is on the hook, falls into this same bucket. No clue why they don't add more of this into the game.

That could be due to a big factor in DBD is still not knowing.

Kindred being base would help versus on start camping. While a 4 man SWF know it's happening they are the smallest portion of players. Any match with a 3 man leaves 1 player in doubt and a 2 man with w players in doubt.

It also wouldn't change what people chose to do in that scenario compared to swf who can communicate a decision. The killer goes out of kindred range an swf still could see where they are or one goes in close to see them patrolling. So whats next after kindred we just show the killers location when someone is on the hook?

Where does the info needed stop? Perks activated? People in a chase? Pallets used? Totems done? How much could this change the game from not knowing to going through the motions as we now know what to expect. It does have the potential to make the game extremely mundane.

Part of not knowing is who you are playing versus on both sides 4 man, 3 man, 2 man, solo's as each play quite differently.

  • The main issue with trying to do this is how people play the game. Swf and solo are two different sets of survivors.

Swf have a goal not just to escape but to get thier friends out with them. They are a team of friends working together with a common goal and due to comms they can actively advise and coordinate who does what.

Solo are not a team they are a set of players who each have a goal to escape and help others if they so please and in the end helping the others helps themselves be it more chance to escape or points. Others making it out the match doesn't impact a solo player.

Solo players can never say I'm close to the hook and my gen is almost done I'll get them and solo seeing that won't change anything as they don't know the gen time. It's why you will see many solo players rushing a hook compared to a coordinated swf especially before end game.

Seeing won't change what people are out to get from the game.

Hook for one saves then would need more info to bring it up to swf level. Seeing all other survivors, someone flagging themselves for the hook save stating going now or after gen is done, gen progression of the flagged player, More info if they find the killer patrolling or camping etc. There is a lot more to it that make swf strong than just seeing where the killer or others are.

So where does it stop with the information? Imo due to this solo can never truly be brought up the level of a good coordinated swf unless anything and everything is shown to them.

Just dont slug for the 4K, when not all Gens are done and you got a 3K, you already won. There is no need for a Killer to have infinite time to find a Survivor (besides this could result in Hostage Situations).

    @topic:

Sad thing about the Husk-Situation is, it only benefits the Killer. I mean, the Killer only cares for his BBQ-Stack, this is mostly the reason they complain about DCs (at least when going through the Topics about that)... For a Survivor it does not matter if there will be a Husk or not.

Besides that, I doubt that DC-Penalties do anything. People will just kill themselves on Hook. And you cannot punish that.

It can help survivors when a killer is camping if they can make it so they go through all phases but only if no survivor comes close πŸ˜‰.

It can in theory also give survivors some unhook points for emblems.

Imo its why survivors should see when another dc's with the husk systen but not the killer as a dc really doesn't disadvantage the killer as much in game bar the BBQ points.

It might even stop people from being overly altruistic overall when they are camping as that shows the killer they are still in game.

It has the potential to change the game up and make slugging less attractive also since a survivor would know they can hide in a locker for a while as they know nothing can be done.

Dcing is being looked at and different punishments are coming. As for killing themselves on the hook that can be looked at. One idea for example is you can try still try to unhook yourself the same amount of times but it only uses half the first stage bar so 30s of time, when you get into struggle they could rework the current mechanic and change it to a key press hold to give up but only after 30s. (if you are the hooked and everyone else dies you can then give up anytime). That gives the others a min of 60s over two stages to do gens or get saves.

  • On one hand exposed may be hard for newcomers but the tutorial and playing will get them uses to it.

Its just exposing the survivors weakness to instantly down them.

On the other hand changing it may confuse older players who took a break and are used to the term.

I don't know if any word could be used to make it more newcomer friendly to say exactly what it does that doesn't make it just as confusing.

  • Seems like a cool buff. I am not sure if its enough to make anyone use it still.

Maybe instead of the skill check zone change it could instead show if those gens are in the process of being worked on for a set time. Some info swf have but solos don't πŸ˜‰.

  • Yes my problem is no matter what I may have I tend to switch up characters and skins so much with the variety we have it's never good for me to pay real money as I will instantly wish for a different one.

Too much choice for myself isn't great as the saying goes. "I used to think I was indecisive but now I'm not so sure"

  • It's one of those features where you can meet new people which is nice but Its a place where ethugs thrive and I'd say you are better off without it.

End game chat is where the majority of the toxicity stems from. Beleive me if anyone thinks getting some private messages are bad imagine an option for players to be toxic that after each and every game without that extra effort πŸ˜‰.

    End Game Collapse

    • Closing the hatch instantly powers up the exit gates.
    • End Game Collapse starts when an exit gate is opened or when the Killer closes the hatch.
    • End Game timer starts at 2 minutes. Timer is slowed down when a Survivor is downed or hooked.
    • Survivors are sacrificed by the Entity when the timer expires. These sacrifices count as kills.
    • The Killer can now open a powered up exit gate.
    • The hatch always spawn as soon as there is 1 Survivor left in the trial.

Notice the last line in the notes above and the link to the actual notes πŸ˜‰.

The hatch was changed with the egc as well as giving killers the ability to open the gates themselves. Like I said the egc's whole design was to simply end the game quicker and remove any chance of a standoff or hostage situation.

I am not saying anyone has to like every aspect of it but there is no denying what it's design purpose was.
