i dont care quite frankly. either they make it work like a hex or they make it so u cant bless more than 5 times. and you can only have 1 boon at once. as u can have multiple boons up. also, you cant bless hex totems or if u bless a hex if it gets snuffed it goes back to hex.
Then why bother asking what people think?
-
They're fine. A strong effect counter balanced by the limited range and time investment.

This has nothing to do with perks and cosmetics lol. Also her lore is absolutely fantastic. Watch pixel Bush entertainment’s video on it.
Those are the only things to judge her on. As I already said, her lore is incredibly boring.
-
No, just no. Her cosmetics are meh at best. Her perks are below average. Lastly her back story is painfully boring.

dont worry, Devs already said they prefer human / humanoid Killers over any stereotypical monsters, so we wont be getting a spidermonster as a Killer.
we might however be getting a Killer that uses spiders - like sending big swarms of them out to attack Survivors or to sit on objects and make it so Survivors need to get rid of the spiders before they can start interacting with the object or spin spiderwebs around the map that slow people down when they walk through them, etc.
That is super gross. Go to time out!

Okay, so killers can just go for 12-hook games and never sweat, maybe even meme around for 30 seconds. And they can 4k survivors every game with no effort, without perks or add-ons. Killers just don't have a thing to worry about do they? Certainly not survivor perks!
They can play how they want. They risk being countered by those perks. Which is the whole point of bringing a perk. Killers bring perks to help them win, same as survivors.

Perks like those never have "no effect" or "don't do anything". They completely deter and punish vital killer playstyles. They reinforce an already solid foundation that is survivor strength.
Yes, they brought a perk to counter what you're doing. Same as killers who bring perks to counter what I'm doing. Anyone complaining about DS at this point needs to get over themselves. Unbreakable counters a killer trying to greed once per match. BT, again you try to hit the person right off the hook I have no sympathy.
-
No, but I'll also stop using them as soon as I get the trophy for blessing hexes. In my opinion they're not worth running. Too much of a time sink for the value you get.

@NekoTorvic said:
No it absolutely wasn't and it shows a design double standard.
The devs wanted survivors to have clear, absolute feedback on when slinger was going to shoot so they could rEaCT, because prediction is apparently too advanced a form of counterplay.
The devs failed at fixing that problem, because as a survivor you still have no idea when Deathsllinger is going to shoot once he aims, you just now have a more obvious tell of when he is LIKELY to shoot.
In the process, they made Deathslinger feel clunky and unresponsive to play. They killed his potential to be reactive to certain survivor plays, and made it impossible for him to hit survivors he would have been able to hit before as they were about to reach certain corners.
They also made it so that the 50/50 is now on you. Now it's your responsibility to not only aim, but to also predict if the survivor is gonna twitch to the left or right, if the survivor is gonna run in a straight line, if the survivor is gonna move a little to the left and then stop, etc. Your weapon isn't hitscan. It's not just your aim that counts, but also your ability to predict survivor movement.
The motive behind wanting to give deathslinger a more obvious tell for survivors is hypocritical, because there is no such intention for the other side. The devs will never give killers a tell to where survivors are gonna move before they do it. They want survivor to feel snappy and responsive, which is good, I just wish they extended the same courtesy to killer.
That's not even talking about the horrid nerf to his TR. Survivors that couldn't be bothered paying attention complained, and so Deathslinger was nerfed. And now survivors get such a massive warning that he is close, that if they run as soon as they hear his TR it will take Deathslinger 35 seconds just to catch up to max range which is a shot almost not worth taking. In reality it'd take about half a gen's worth of time for Deathslinger just to catch up to a survivor if they run when they hear his TR. It's stupid.
Yeah, it had nothing to do with the constant faking of his power. Slinger was just a bad design from the beginning.

I see them fairly frequently.

Typically I don't have a problem with NOED. Lately however, I see it paired a lot with the strategy of face camping the first survivor you down until they, well die. Then you go and try to catch someone else.
If the survivors rushed out gens like they were supposed to then they will not have had the time to find and cleanse all dull totems much less keep track of where they all are. After the final gen gets completed the killer can use NOED to insta down whoever they find after the first person who was camped dies. Then they just camp again with NOED.
Used in this fashion I think it's unfair. It's allowing killers to always gain MMR from 2 kills, sometimes more if survivors aren't efficient or make mistakes. Survivors have to gen rush and not do totems to make the most of the camped persons time and NOED punishes them for gen rushing/not doing the totems I don't see how that's fair.
Otherwise though like I said I have no real problem with NOED tbqh
That's not counting if the just go full end game build. Add in No way Out, Bloodwarden, and Remember Me and it's a nearly guaranteed 4k.
-
BT, don't tunnel and it has zero effect.
DH, fair enough of a complaint.
Unbreakable, one time use only matters if you try to greed.
Deliverance, earned with a decent chance of never triggering.
DS, already hard nerfed and only matters if you tunnel.
Adrenaline, again it was earned. They finished their objective.
Swf with comms, also a fair complaint.
So we actually only have one second chance perk.
As for Noed, you did nothing to earn the speed boost/insta down. In other words it feels cheap. Basically it's the killer DH. Personally I'd rework Noed, but it's still a fair perk. At least in my opinion.
-
Not unless there's a squad running them. They're so easy to stomp and the range is too small for them to be able to be used conveniently. They're by no means weak, but in a solo situation the trade off isn't worth it.
-
Nothing personal. I just despise everything about her.
-
If I never see her again I will be totally okay with that.

Pig, Myers, Wraith, Bubba, Legion, Nurse, and Billy. I especially miss old Billy.

Doesn't change the fact that Legion is still awful and that BHVR seemingly doesn't understand that just because a Killer is OP in X scenario doesn't mean they need to be gutted.
Yes, Legion needs some love. This is definitely not it though.

I don't feel like he needs any buffs.

They're all tools to help the survivor escape, aren't they? Dead Hard helps more in more scenarios than Alert or Bond. So these perks won't be used until something changes.
If you fail to see the value in those perks, that sounds like a you problem.
-
It does not need changed.
-
This is why my messaging is off. Yeah, nice messages can be great, but usually not worth the risk.

@RenRen said:
I don't think forced to is the right word here more like pressured. Either way I think It might be a good idea for killers to stop running gen perks just so everyone see's how much of a difference it is cause apparently some people still believe gen perks are not necessary at all.
Pressured is definitely more accurate. I wish I could take BT off, but sadly the state of the game basically demands I run it.

Oh it is you, the guy that wants ruin undying nerfed even though it is not the best combo, the one that defends survivor side even though they are slightly stronger right now.
The OP isn't exaggerating, if you want BP you need at least 1 slowdown to have a fair chance with certain killers, not all but with certain.
Show us how you play killer, you should stream dbd if you are that good at the point of rarely using slowdown perks, at this point I guess you are better than fog whispers and stuff the ones that get paid to play this game.
The problem is how do you balance around this? If you slowed gens Blight, Nurse, and Spirit would be nearly guaranteed wins.

So another massive failure of an event. Joy.

A 4 Man SWF that has a similar/close MMR to the Killer, made him DC.
Except we have no proof their MMR are even close. It'll match you up with anybody eventually. Add to that it looks like the killer had their 3 teachable perks plus Ruin and I'm extremely doubtful it was even close to an even match.
-
No, I just play the game. If you're teammates are idiots you can only carry them so far though. Which in turn leads to more idiots and frustration. All I want is moderately competent teammates and a fun match for everyone. MMR has failed miserably at delivering this.

There's really no reason to not run meta perks, imo.
BT and DS never come off of my builds tbh
My reason is I don't like them. DS and UB are single use and I don't like exhaustion perks, so DH is out. I'd prefer not to run BT, but it's a necessary evil these days.
-
So your evidence is a 4 man swf, with meta perks, most likely on comms made a lower tier killer DC?

U have 100% lose rate? Because this sounds as broken record. Killer mains can't win cause survivors are god like meanwhile survivor mains can't win cause suddenly there are no good survivors.
Miracles happen or someone refuses to be honest.
I would estimate I escape 1 in 5 these days. Personally I don't care about escapes. I want enjoyable matches. Unfortunately the system gives me nothing but idiot teammates unless I escape. Almost like matching people on a single criteria was a bad idea.

Whole thread is about *Give me free kills! I don't want to play for them. Blah, blah bad game forces me to play good. Where are my Ai survivors and 2-4K every game!? Arrrr....*
No, there point is they feel like the system is putting them in games where they're way over matched. My survivor games have been miserable because I get the absolute potatoe teammates. So I can empathize.
-
@ThiccBudhha said:
I see tons of survivors complain about it. RIP Deathslinger, you will be missed, but never forgotten.
Deathslinger was one of the most obnoxious killers. Every killer had a cost to faking the M2. In other words they actually mind gamed. That's why Spirit is hated. Her stand still "mind game" was utter bullshit.
-
Time hasn't been a factor for me. It's been this way ever since MMR launched for me.

To be fair, the only circumstance under which tunneling doesn't take skill is if you are tunneling a bot. Not my fault the survivor is easy to tunnel when they have a whole map of resources.
Because deadzones don't exist....
@topic Did you honestly call Self Care a second chance perk?
-
No, it's fine.
-
@Clowning said:
By that logic Survivors need to get used to being camped on the hook, maybe load up some Civ in the meantime. Or maybe, just maybe, we can accept that the current system doesn't benefit anyone.
Pretty much this. I despise MMR. I can't see how anyone is actually enjoying the game in it's current state.
-
For Evil Incarcerate I recommend Corrupt Intervention, Play With Your Food, and Whispers.
As a general build I like Bbq, Surge, Corupt, and Whispers.
-
I think it's more killers want games where they don't steam roll or get steam rolled. Survivors want basically the same. In other words they want fairly evenly matched opponents.

Yeah, they play to ruin other people's experience.
Other than stopping them from killing people, you aren't going to deter them. Even if you do, they'll still find a way to try to ruin other people's days.
Luckily, the number of people actually doing that is about the same number as the amount of god squad SWF. People just like to whine when things don't go their way and exaggerate.
Yes and no. There's definitely been an upsurge in camping killers. At least in my games. I can't even be mad, it's what the system tells them to do.

Penalizing them would not stop them either.
We already have a harsh penalty system. You think it works?
BHVR has said they've repeatedly tried and failed to create a suitable system to punish facecamping (and only facecamping) but have found that it allows the Survivors to have way too much power.
If BHVR knows something isn't going to work, it really isn't gonna work.
We do not have a harsh camping penalty lol.
-
The match making system literally tells them to camp. Why would they do anything else?
