The final matches , killers got 4 or 6 hook and always survivors could escape, just ortz can do it well .. but even he got genrush, 3 minutes 4 gens?????!!!?? Really?????!!!! So we need to play 5000 hours as ortz to be a good killer? And survivor you can play with 1 hand!!!!
I hope Devs could watch it...
Good tournament 👍
I get matches like this on EU servers every day, nothing special about it?

I'm just gonna quote Monto in response to your confusion towards people saying he's bad: "If you say he sucks, it's because you're bad with him".
I'm gonna state the opposite: If you think he's good, you haven't played against good survivors yet.

His power has a high learning curve but offers creative and unique ways to look at looping and playing the game, you don’t play him like a normal killer and well it kinda clicked with me and I never have too big of an issue getting my power juked because if it looks like I’ll get juked i just bounce off another wall realign myself and go again, it is really fun
I will give him a chance, but so far I am not really impressed by his ability.

The short version
He kicks ass and is tremendously fun to play.
The long version
The Blight easily has one of the highest skill ceilings in the game. I'd argue that Nurse is a bit higher, but not by much. His power requires acute memory of all tilesets in the game, familiarity with your mouse DPI, and good reflexes.
This makes learning him quite a task. But my god if it isn't fun once you do. Here's a quick summary of what the Blight has going for, and against him.
Strengths
- Map Pressure
The most obvious of his strengths, the Blight moves at 230% movement speed while rushing. That's the same speed as Hillbilly's sprint. But unlike Hillbilly, Blight is not limited to going in a curved line. By "pin-balling" against obstacles you can cover a distance of up to 138 meters if you perfectly time and distance your rushes! This gives Blight the best mobility in the game par none.
Combine this with the relatively quick recharge of his power, and a decent amount of practise, the Blight becomes unwaveringly oppressive. Especially if combined with perks like BBQ, Surveillance, and any other perk that benefits from arriving at a location within seconds. If he's not chasing someone already he's going to start very soon.
- Chase Potential
Although still susceptible to very tight loops, the Blight can shut down quite a lot of otherwise safe positions for survivors. Some of you might question how he can do this since you might think that his lunge is predictable and can't be easily controlled. Allow me to explain how this is not the case.
The Blight's lethal rush propels you in the direction you are looking. But while rushing you cannot look more than around 60% to the left or right. However, attacking out of a rush will push you in the direction you are attacking. Also remember that the lethal rush cannot hit walls and is exempt from the dreaded "aim dressing", allowing you to curve around obstacles and get hits.
I cannot stress enough how important it is to learn this skill. Especially since Blight has a very generous attack hitbox which can hit survivors who aren't even on your screen! Trust me, that thing puts Huntress's thrown mini-fridges to shame.
- Strong add-ons
With the exception of his farming add-on, and the ones that increase slam duration, every single add-on the Blight has is good. I'm honestly hard pressed to say there's a best combination. He's got insta-downs, wallhacks, better steering, breaking pallets and walls with his face, and training wheels for when you're learning him. You really can't go wrong with any of these.
My personal favourite is a tie between the insta-down + reduced rush tokens, and stacked animal add-ons. Using both the blighted rat and the crow you can go up to a staggering 270% movement speed on your final rush! Survivors barely have a chance to register your terror radius before you're right on top of them.
Weaknesses
- M1 Perk Anti-synergy
This is my biggest problem with the Blight, not that I have many. His lethal rush does not count as a basic attack. Meaning that 2/3 of his perks don't work with his power, including every single other M1 perk in the game.
I'm not a fan of this design pattern at all. It just reinforces the incredibly stale meta of PTGW and BQQ since many killer perks have heavily discouraged use on most killers, (but not the most powerful killers in the game for some reason). Demogorgon, Pig and Legion all have the same problem and I wish the devs would stop giving new killers the same problem.
- Indoor Maps
This point is very self-explanatory. But it's not as bad as people think. Lery's and The Game reduce the Blight's overall map presence since he has so many walls in-between gens. However, I've found that these maps offer much more use of his power at most loops. Especially running his ultra-rare add-on that allows him to quickly break pallets by rushing into them.
These maps do take some getting used to. But with enough experience on them a good Blight can still be just as effective.
- His P3 looks bad
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/V1SZQ5D9816L/p3-blight.jpg
It needs waaaaay more blood.
Summary
I'm really baffled by the community response to Blight so far. Many people claim that his power is useless at chases, calling him clunky, and some even have the sheer audacity to compare him to Legion in terms of power.
He has so many things going for him. Constant map pressure, good chase potential and good add-ons. But so many people just write him off because they haven't taken the time to learn him.
I've had at least 40+ games with him since his release, and although I typically don't like using antidotes, I've 4K'ed in 90% of those games. I know for a fact how strong he is and I hope this post has convinced you of the same.
Are you paid by the devs? He sucks ass and is far from viable. Strongly map dependant, not able to cut off loops with his power, weird POV, weird lunge range when coming out of his rush, very limited turning during rush etc etc... Learning his ability requires a high skill cap for low reward at best. Try to sell this killer as "fun to play" is ridiculous. His Power is useless when it comes to catch survivors at common loop spots (shack, jungle gym, basically any sort of loop, where survivors can cut tight corners). His ability is waay to predictible. He's a basic M1 killer for most of the time, which makes him even worse than the legion. I already regret that I paid money for this pile of #########.

Remove the Farm Maps, Remove Ormond, Remove The Saw Map, Remove Mother's Dwelling and Remove Temple Of Purgation, stop trying to rework maps, there's too many either broken or boring ones at once, just remove them then fix them, please.
You forgot to mention the swamp maps and the silent hill map as well as freddy map! They all shall disappear.

I’m a console user and i get consistent hits with his power and 4k .-.
Really? Tell me more please. He is not viable against survivors who can take a side step, so I guess that's the reason for your success. His power is useless in almost every sort of tight loop, it's just okay for travelling the map and maybe catch a survivor off-guard. But otherwise I can't see any reason why I should prefer this guy over Oni or Billy. Oni can even do a 90 degree Flick out of demon dash and one shot. So sorry for Blight boy, but he is just utter garbage.
-
I agree with OP. He's complete trash and probably the worst killer in the game. There is no reason to play him...nothing he can do that other killers can't do better.
-
I really prefer Pyramid Head over another lame clown killer (Clowns are not scary!) or Jason by far tbh.
-
Please, no licensed killers anymore. All of them (except for myers to a certain extend) sucked hairy balls so far.
-
Remove SWF already, I don't give a ######### if the game dies with it.

Why? the only "bad news" i can recall for killers are the nerfs to nurse, spirit and legion, on the other hand they got Demo and Oni, which are frankly amazing killers, and Ghost Face, that, while no being as good as the last 2, is still be extremely fun to play as.
Survivors have had it harder IMO, not because of nerfs or anything gameplay related , but because of game breaking bugs.
And you din't mention that Oni got straight away nerfed one Week after release lul.

you havent even tried it, LOL
Probably cause he has a bit of understanding of the game, and knows that new ruin won't be worth the perk slot anymore. When I would like me a hex perk for endgame I would take noed instead.

Yes, we do ask the question about what's fun for Killers. Hence the changes to insta-heals, Decisive Strike, and some others. :)
Oni's Flick was fun, can we get it back pls? :)

Even with the Nerf he's still pretty decent.
I've seen people complain that he's bad but put in mind he's a new killer and he has a learning curve that's why people find him hard to play.
And: The learning curve stops with the natural limitations that devs decided to put on him. You can also tell a clown player that he has a "learning curve", still won't make up the fact, that clown is a pretty bad killer.

He is not total trash, that is true, I still love him. But he used to be WAY better pre nerf. And even then, he was not OP. Very strong yes, probably even better than spirit in the right hands imo, but not OP. The nerf was unnessecary and just cut so much of his fun.

Sloppy Butcher work with the demon strike?
No I don't think so. That is why I switched it to Monitor and Abuse meanwhile.

Sometimes yes, most of the times: NO.

the majority of oni players I play against have their power available the whole match because his power is so easy to get , he is a one shot + can travel the whole map very quick + perks like bbq or ruin and pop to make you very strong yet that is not enough for you? his nerf is well deserved he was way to strong either keep him the same or revert the flick nerf and make his power harder to get.
His power is only easy to get, when survivors dont know how to loop him in his normal form. He is just a basic M1 Killer and needs to hit 2 healthy survivors in the beginning of a match to gain access to his power (or ######### around with one injured survivor for about a minute). This is already long enough to build up his power. Make it even harder, and he will fall into D Tier, right after Clown. By this time, 2-3 gens are often done. The nerf of his flick took his potential, to be effective against strong survivors completely. He gets destroyed by loops and he can only deal with genspeed when snowball effect kicks in. You still can play him on red ranks though, but as far as my experiences are, you will have a ######### hard time and depipping will happen quite often, as long as you don't play like a dickhead or get a group of snowflakes as survivors.
I am already looking forward when they revert the nerf to his flick. The nerf was not deserved and well over the top. He already got a triple nerf on realease. It was way more fun to play him in the first week of his release, now he just feels clunky to play, not really a fun experience. But eh, I don't really expect the devs to create some fun killers, who are actually strong in the future. Seems they are really afraid of viable killers.
-
Doc is now unfun to play and will be unfun after his rework. He will still be a M1 Killer with some bullshit M2 mechanic. I don't even need to read the patchnotes to tell you that much. I would like the devs to prove me wrong though, but I don't have too much confidence in their understanding of creating fun to play killers anymore.

The only sad part is that I feel like that is true
Well, ithat is probably cause it IS in fact true :D.

I still like the Oni, despite the heavy nerf he got recently. But sometimes, I just want to bite into my keboard when playing against good Survivors. He is super easy to loop and hitting survivors while coming out of the demon strike only works occasionaly on unexpierenced survivors (which are nor very common when playing in red ranks), or if I manage to catch them off guard.
All in all, the devs ruined most of the fun I had playing him on PTB and pre-flick nerf. That is just very sad. But I can still manage to stay on Rank 1 with him most of the time, even though I downpip a few games in a row sometimes.
When I face Oni as a Survivor I already know, that it will be pracitcally a free escape cause dodging his demon strike is ridiculously easy.

Agree. I mainly play survivor and countless times I tap the gen mid chase to stop regression. Killer have no choice but to kick it again instead of chase me right away because the gen is 90% completed and pull away from the killer just like that.
Another idea I have is get rid of the gen kicking animation and killer can M1 the gen to make it regress. Killer can make use of the lunge range to kick gen and make it faster and easier, I rarely play killer and it happened that I always a hair too far away from gen to start the kick animation and I don't understand why you have to hold spacebar all the way through the kick animation but not when you kick pallet (I know I have to git gud). If there is survivor on the gen, auto-aim always prioritied the survivor, although it open up the possibility of auto-aim screwup and hit the gen anyway.
Please, no M1 for gen regress. I can already see me getting looped around a gen not being able to hit the survivor because of messed up hitboxes.
-
My favorite is by far the Oni. He might not be the best killer after the heavy nerf, but I just love his appearance and his ability. Still waiting for his flick to get fixed though. He is also my favorite killer to play against as a survivor, cause you can feel his power over the whole map when he downs someone in his demon mode.
I play him with Ruin, BBQ, Infectious Fright and Sloppy butcher.
-
I don't even understand why they want to buff solo survivor on swf level. I play solo survivor all the time in red ranks and I never really feel like it is too challenging. Most of the time, it feels like a walk in the park on a sunday morning. Except on very few occasions, where killer tunnels and camps.
-
That is how my matches end up pretty often and I play killer in red ranks lul.
-
For me it's definetly Killer. Trying to "take care" of 4 survivors at the same time is way more stressful than getting chased by one single killer. Playing survivor can be upsetting sometimes, but in most cases, it is super chill and fun.
-
######### the doc. They could buff him to oblivion, I still wouldn't play him. He's just annoying for everyone.

it isn't a big nerf heck
Did you even play Oni before and after? It is a big nerf...your ability is quite useless on loops now against any survivor who knows to run in tight circles.
-
I am still able to flick with Q and E, but it feels...different. It feels like the oni doesn't dash forward anymore during the flick, which kinda sucks. He is definetly less fun to play for me now.
