  • I can at least get 1-3k sometimes with even my worst killers but nurse is impossible for me right now. I get completely wrecked every time I try

  • Oh and why don’t survivors just leave? Why do they wait EVERY SINGLE GAME. Not once have survivors just left the game as soon as they opened the gates. I have a bad game every now and then with the killers I’m good at and every single time survivors don’t leave. They want to chase me down or wait at the exit gates to tea bag. ######### is their problem? Just leave, you won. Get to another game and stop holding the killer hostage in a game they can’t win, that’s bs. I think the exit gates are ridiculous. Screw this end game timer. Once you power the exit gates anyone alive is out and anyone hooked is dead. Survivors hold the game hostage every single game.

  • Just tried playing different killers to try and be fun. Well I can’t because the moment I’m ######### with them by missing a nurse blink, or missed a hatchet, or missed the shred etc... the survivors stop doing gens and start messing with me. Tea bagging, and shining flashlights at me the ENTIRE MATCH. Screw this, screw fun, now I’m pissed and out for blood so survivors are getting my best characters with all their best perks, sacrifices, and tunneling. EVERY game at least 2 survivors teabag and use flashlights even when there’s no one to save and they teabag like their awesome when it’s obvious I’m just trying to learn a new killer. They aren’t great for outplaying a crappy new killer. This treatment is why so many don’t play killer and why the ones who do resort to the worst thing they can do every once in a while. This treatment is ridiculing and because of it I’m gonna stop trying new killers and put on king and queen iridescent doc with BBQ, whispers, NOED, distressing. You survivors who ridicule and mess with killers this is what you create, have fun.

  • I play both and honestly hardly ever see keys or Moris used. If I do their kinda awesome. It’s funny you mention two people escaped in line because I just had a game the other day where I was huntress and two people escaped right in front of me. Before that I can’t remember the last time I saw a Mori or Key. I think their fine how they are.

100 survivors, 25 killers, battle royal.

Will the killers be capable of sacrificing all survivors or will the survivors power 125 gens first? How exciting.

I like this guy. Screw balancing, just make this and slam like 15 maps together and let ridiculous chaos ensue. I feel like it would be amazingly fun. I’d imagine Q times might pose a small problem though....

lmao imagine how quickly gens would be going off and how many auras, notifications, and killer power sounds would be happening. I’m slightly drunk and dying laughing right now.

I'm on console. It takes like 20 seconds to find a game as killer and 5 minutes as a survivor

I’m on ps4 and it takes longer then that for me as survivor. It’s like a 10-15 min wait some times. I usually just play as killer because of the wait times.

For farming purposes I would probably suggest Doctor or Legion. For farming! Doctor has a very easy time finding people and building devious from his shocks. Legion is also in the same boat however these 2 killers struggle at high ranks for kills. You can succeed with any killer but when it comes to getting kills some have an easier time than others.

Nurse is still considered top tier because her blinks ignore pallet loops but she is very hard to master and very punishing when you mess up. Personally since her nerf I just don;t have fun playing as her anymore.

Billy is widely considered to be 2nd best because he has map pressure, a one shot down and is not as difficult to learn.

Huntress is up there because she has a ranged attack.

Spirit is also top tier because of her map pressure and mind game potential.

These are killers for killing the survivors. BP your probably best off using Doc or Legion. IMO play whoever you want. I know he's not meta but I main trapper cause I have fun out smarting people with trap placement. 2nd is ghost face because I love jump scares.

Lol I’m a pretty decimating doc so far. I haven’t taken a full team of rank 1’s yet but I’ve absolutely destroyed ranks 3 and up.

I really enjoy the idea of both using nurse and survivor because of the difficulty but nurse is definitely ridiculously hard. I tried the other day and barely got 3 hooks. Only killed 1 person.

I have tons of fun with Spirit, Demo, Huntress, Plague.

I can’t get the hang of legion. I played as him and I can find and chase and hit people pretty well but I end up never being able to really get good 3-4k games.

  • If it’s a doc he could have restraint which shows the docs aura and his image actually tracks you by facing you as well so he could potentially see that and guess exactly where you’d be. I’ve gotten more than a couple messages accusing me of wall hacking and I explained all of the doctors add ons before just blocking messages entirely.

  • I feel like not having the ultra rare stuff every game would be way more fun and help the game be skill based. If I ran ultra rare add ons for all my favorite killers the game would be way too easy. Even against the best looping rank 1’s. I would have to let people go and help them to the hatch or let them wiggle free and escape from hooks out of guilt, lol. Like Oni’s ultra rare is basically a tracking ability better than docs. Docs basically give him most of his other add ons all at once. Playing a casual game with friends and adding all the ultras with the best perks is crazy fun though.

These add ons would be for normal games:

Restraint, and high stimulus electrode on doc.

venomous concoction and flower babushka are sweet on huntress or infantry belt if aim isn’t so good that day.

Thorny vines and vermillion webcap for demi.

Campbell’s last breath and anxious grasp for nurse.

  • Oh or maybe a bp multiplier for every prestige achieved? It doesn’t seem like the rarities really improve all that much so right now the only incentive is cosmetics. If I got more bp per match I would definitely work on prestige. I think it would be cool to combine both killer and survivor so if you max prestige both killers and survivors you could get more bp per match. It would inspire well rounding of all players to understand all the game mechanics. Maybe we would have less fighting and anger in general if more people understood more of the game.

stop exagerating stuff, jesus, killers dont get that much more than a survivor, you sure like to exagerate things to stupid proportions

I’m not exaggerating. Without using any sacrificial bp boosters like survivor pudding or streamers, using only perks I got 102k bp from one match using the doctor. I said correct me if I’m wrong and your not giving me any data unlike the rest of the really great people so far on this thread who are explaining how both sides earn bp. I also already expressed I didn’t know perks like WGLF would double my bp so the gap difference is not as much as what I had seen before, however there is still a gap and it still takes more technical prowess for survivors to earn bp than killers if I’m understanding the responses I have read above. Please contribute additional data or pointers/advice to help me learn more or don’t comment at all. This has been a really great thread so far and your comment is not helping.

    Hello

This is my 2 go build as a survivor to max out on bloodpoints:

    • Prove Thyself for max bloodpoints on Objective
    • Decisive Strike for Survival (Beeing the Obsession and escape gives you extra 1500 bloodpoints on top of the 5000)
    • Deliverance for Survival (1500 for unhooking yourself)
    • We're gonna live forever for double bloodpoints post trial

Boldness is really not that hard to max out. Just be a decent runner and it should not be a big problem. If you struggle, do totems, they give you 1000 for a dull and 1500 for an active one.

Alturism is normally also not that hard. Best points you get is in the endgame. Safe unhooks + a full heal on him during EGC gives 2750 alone.

The only tricky part is Survival, but with that build you should be able to fully max out very often compared to any other build.

    Kind regards

    Thank you!

As killer run BBQ. As survivor run were gonna live forever.

BBQ gives you a stack when you hook a survivor for the first time. Max of 4 stacks. Each stack gives 25% more bp at the end of a match.

WGLF does the same thing except safe hook rescues. Save 4 people safely, best paired with BT, to get 4 stacks.

Killer or survivor. You run these perks and get 4 stacks your BP at the end screen are doubled. Unlike most items, they only increase how fast you gain BP in a category but the catch is you can only gain 8k BP in each category. BBQ, WGLF, escape cakes, survivor pudding and bloody party streamers multiple your total BP at the end of a match.

Who would you recommend for killer bp farming at higher levels? I started trying to get better at nurse, and my huntress is at 50 and I’m decent with her. Most of my other killers are either not leveled at all or around 30-40 for teachables.

  • @IceCreamPrincess said:

As you asked how to gain more blood points as a survivor, i will focus on that

Aside from the obvious Escape cakes/ bloody streamers/envelopes, most anyone can get is 32k bp (64k with We're Going to Live Forever).

As a survivor, so long as you are competent in a chase, you will easily max out boldness after a chases, and if you feel your not the best in a chase, totems and pallet stuns add lots of points to it

Altruism is harder, but safe unhooks really add to it, as well as We'll Make It, as the quick heal under hook generates thousands of bp.

Objective is really easy to max so long as you work with others, and hit skill checks. Doing 1 gen alone, start to finish, gives only 1,250bp, but doing one with a fellow survivor increases that dramatically. If you really want to max it, run Prove Thyself, as that speeds up the gens, as well as give 50% faster bp gain when you work with over survivors.

Hardest category to max is survival, since very little actually gives these points. Best way of getting them is either healing yourself, or escaping which gives 5,000bp, even more if you're the obsession, so any perks that makes you live long enough to leave helps, Decisive Strike doubly so as hitting it means you're guarenteed as the obsession, and thats 1k minimum even if you die.

A good build if bp is all you want to get is Prove Thyself, Inner Strength, Decisive Strike and WGLF. PT gives 50% in objective, DS lets you live longer, and Inner Strength makes it so Totems also provide healing, and further points. Try to prioritize safe unhooks, and heal the survivors under the hook where possible.

Bring either a map of a flashlight, as maps gives you bp whenever you mark things, like gens and totems, and a flashlight really adds to the boldness, as after a pallet stun/kick you can get some free points by blinding them.

One thing to note thought, bp gain for survivors is alot harder than killer, as each category requires focus to gain points, if you're healing someone you aren't getting objectives points from gens, or boldness from being in a chase. Killer on the other hand has alot of overlap in their categories, as well as an easier to fulfill bloodpoint perk (BBQ vs WGLF), so don't get put off if you dont get as much as survivor.

Thank you for so many tips! I really enjoy the more technical stuff of survivors and not knowing half of what I’ve been doing has been a huge learning curve. It definitely helps me enjoy the game more as a whole though. I just really started feeling stuck not earning much bp every game especially with the long Q times.

If I start running into full teams of good loopers which will definitely happen at some point and kill my docs bp gain who would you recommend to play as?

It makes him feel better about himself to pretend he's better than you.

I've experienced the reverse a handful of times - I recently had a guy about ten ranks above me boast about beating me (a fourth-game Nurse) in post-game chat. Really says a lot about a person when they can take pride in that sort of thing. (He wasn't good either - tried to loop a Nurse like you would an M1 killer, and only got away with it because I was so hopeless at controlling her.)

Lmao I deleted a few of my angry rant posts before following through with posting them about this exact scenario. I still pulled them from gens, judged distance like a scalpel a few times from across rocks and buildings, and hooked all 4 of them. For a really really really bad nurse (like 15 games total sporadically) I did pretty good. Especially against rank 1,4,4,9 lol

  • Omg the teabagging..... it’s the only thing I really dislike. Especially waiting to tea bag at the exit gates. I’m down for spinning around and showing I won’t kill but just farm points at the exit gates but come on. If their at the exit don’t wait for the killer just to taunt ya know?

edit- I also really hate the hitting people on hooks thing. It’s so unnecessary....

  • Wooo! I was literally thinking most of these things and hoping other people felt the same. Minor changes would be nice but the only thing that really makes the game not fun for me is the taunting and really angry people. The game is fun, even if I didn’t get any kills I got better at guessing a hatchet throw or finally pulled off a mind gaming trick or I finally looped a killer for more than a minute or I saved people 3 times in a row. Whether I die or don’t kill anyone I can focus on the things I improved on and have fun.

I am sincerely sorry for being impatient. It is unlike me and I do feel bad. =(

Your fine, I lost my cool so technically you wouldn’t have said that if I was more articulate and patient. I hope at least some of the things I said helped and they didn’t all sound angry or aggressive.

  • It helps both sides to struggle and do last minute things lol. Even as a killer if I’m just waiting I don’t mind running around or trying to find pallets. Blood points are one of the few things most sides agree on in this game devs, we all want more points lol.

Exactly! I mean with this new madness now going down it just made me think oh well and now I do not care if I am in the terror radius or not. I will just do my gen and run. lol

I did have someone reply to me saying the madness level does decay but I think they were misunderstood and waiting for them to maybe explain to me and hope that I am wrong. He said this "They decrease now from madness 3 to 1 whereas before you could only decrease to madness 2." Unless I missed something the newest update said "Madness no longer decays passively over time.".

This is the newest update so not sure where this person got the news that we can lower our madness level but I would like to hear it if he did. The sad thing is like most people though when proved wrong they won't respond and he probably won't either now. =(

sorry I just didn’t see this until now and I was pissed at snow for whining and saying things that weren’t true.

My understanding was that even if madness doesn’t decrease passively, once the doctor shocks you into madness 3 you can snap out of it into madness 1. I’m fully with the other guy too though about bringing back the passive decrease of madness. It does help both sides and would make for a more balanced game. He’s a huge pain and I say people are terrible survivors cuz I’m right there with you. I’ve only started getting a little better with survivor lately after dumping a ton of bp into two survivors and trying to play them. The key with doctor is unfortunately he is insanely hard to shake so you have to be good at looping and if you are then you can keep him busy while the rest of the team does gens. You need to do things like drop pallets early and think about whether your in too vulnerable of a spot in terms of being trapped by windows or pallets. Also if you know the runs of maps well enough if you keep throwing pallets in front of him and getting speed bursts you can waste his time for a really long time. I’m really good with doctor but some survivors are good enough that I give up and chase someone else because they waste too much of my time. There’s a bunch of other threads here that give a far better explanation than I can of how to avoid and outrun the doctor. If you can time his shocks so they don’t block your vaults he doesn’t have anything on you other than exposing your location.

  • @Wylesong said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/142485/whats-with-the-plague

If you think she is to OP then I would hate to hear what you think about the Doctor. There is no one you can hate the Plaque without hating the Doctor too. I would rather go against a Plaque, a killer that you can hide from at least, then a Doctor who just zaps the area and POOF now we all give away our location and are to crazy to do anything. lol

Oh and now madness levels do not decrease like they use to so no point in getting out of his terror radius. Now he is a OP killer.

They decrease now from madness 3 to 1 whereas before you could only decrease to madness 2. It also used to be a constant radius in treatment mode so he could walk around and it was a constant shock instead of a rechargeable power. There’s a whole thread about tips on what sound cues to listen to so you know when to go for a vault or drop pallets early etc... You guys really don’t know the killers very well which is why your dying against them or thinking their OP.

  • It is absolutely ridiculous. She’s far from one of the best killers. She’s middle rank. Her power literally depends on survivors doing something to complete it. She can’t down you with puke unless you complete her power and even then her downing puke is only available for a limited time. Her puke doesn’t go through walls and you can still loop her by circling and ducking around vehicles. Your just not a good survivor. Your “suggestions” lock her into not having much of a power at all.

  • This is ridiculous. There’s like a rotating cycle of mindless noob complaints about every killer. Just like the mindless noob killer complaints about survivors. Can we please somehow delete or mute these people because they don’t add anything good to the game.

  • I use it pretty much only for the BP gain. I have so much to level up it pains me to see less than 50k per match. If I want to find people I’ll use whispers, it’s constantly active and I know how to find people. I would love to free up my BBQ slot for a different perk.

  • I’m surprised no one has mentioned Tom Clancy Seige. Even in casual people start yelling and team killing just because someone missed a half map shot.

There's one particular window that often makes the survivor not worth chasing. It will always spawn on the bottom floor of the cabin, and it takes way too long to catch survivors. A lot of people consider this window so powerful that they don't chase in the cabin, Scott Jund for example. I'm not sure if it's a true infinite, but it's definitely one of the strongest windows in the game, if not the strongest.

Edit: It usually spawns a large distance away from the doors in the Cabin, which is what makes it so powerful.

Is it the one usually in a corner so either in or out the survivor can basically run to one of a couple new loop runs on the building? The big two story building that’s one of the two basement spawns? That building is irritating but sometimes I can catch people with doc, huntress, or nurse and it gives me so much joy. Lol

Nah it’s not bait, it’s the truth. I’ve seen it too 😂 killers can lunge spin on you when you try to juke them. I think if they lunge it should be in a straight line as well. Shouldn’t have much of an AOE too. It really is quite unfair in my opinion. Idk why people keep evading the fact that killers are actually really OP at the moment. You guys must be really bad at the game and think this 1v4 is just totally lopsided against you as a killer. It’s not. Bait bait bait that’s all I hear. It’s not bait. These are real issues. I don’t know how people can just sit here and bash on someone for experiencing something that isn’t right about the game clearly. Yet people like you try to act like it’s not a thing 😂 okay

You don’t sound like you’ve ever actually played killer nor are you a good survivor. If you were a good survivor I wouldn’t be able to catch you easily. Jukes are for terrible survivors who can’t hide or loop and want more things to rely on then learning the actual game mechanics and finding good loops and knowing what the killer can/can’t see and using that to their advantage. Once killer commits to the lunge that’s it, it’s a straight line and there’s no wide area. I’ve missed people before when they were almost touching me because they were just a little to the right or under the swing. It’s a fun game when you get actual skill, the only awful things in this game are you people both killers and survivors who whine about how OP all these skills or situations are. Grow up, learn from your mistakes, have fun, or continue muddling in mediocrity. Doesn’t affect me a bit because people like you give me 4k’s or if I’m playing survivor your a great distraction who will probably piss off the killer and get him to only chase you and give me way more time.

  • @SpicyBoy said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1190509#Comment_1190509

When they charge the lunge they are able to turn at least 360 degrees before they attack. If they want to lunge they should need to hold it and then release the attack when they feel the need to which would be so much better.

Thats already how it works though..... you charge it then release. No?

On paper it was an overpowered perk that was obviously better than almost any other perk besides maybe BBQ. In practice it was a band-aid for genrush and when behavior removed that band-aid the genspeed blood gushed out and now killer playercount is bleeding to death.

Is that why all my matches are rainbow survivors? It’s been wild, I’m sure it’s not as fun for experienced people either to watch killers club low players.

i actually like new ruin though, genrushing doesn’t bother me

If I was the killer and I hit a survivor while doing a pirouettes I would be suprised it landed.

If it looked like they were rotating it was a glitch. It’s not possible and your ridiculous. I play killer and lunges are only forward.

  • Better bait then the last bait I saw.

Try killer once and see if that happens. Lol

  • lol I don’t mind those games, if it seems like one persons job is to distract me I’ll find their team mates cuz that means 2 people off gens. As I ignore the runner I’ll keep them in my peripheral and swat them if we get to an opportune place for me. If they start being douches like clicking flashlights or tea bagging then I will start only going after the unhooked to kill faster to deal with them quickly. That games no longer fun. Gen rushing, using perks, and looping well are all mechanics of the game and hats off to the survivor who can loop me for a gen or two or 3(I’ve only met like 2 of those in a few months). But tea bagging and clicking flashlights? That’s just straight up trying to mock/tease/stress me out and for that I’ll start using the most brutal methods I can think of.

  • Which window? I haven’t memorized all the maps and variants.

  • Could a survivor use it and cause the inverse affect? I’ve had matches where my movements become blocky instead of smooth and my hits will miss. It only happened around a couple players and would disappear when I was chasing the others. It took me twice as long as it should’ve to hit him because I had to get within normal hitting distance even with a lunge.

    Agree 100%.

Though he's honestyly more frustrating to play against if you haven't faced him that much. I use to HATE going against the doctor so much that I started running Calm Spirit. I got over it eventually but I am back to him being my second least favorite Killer to go up against. I might start running Calm Spirit again but I don't seem to face him nearly as much as I use to for some reason.

It does help when you run calm spirit. He gets your general direction but not your actual location because of the red pointer that shows up for just a couple seconds. I kind of know where people are anyway when I play as doctor so for a good doctor calm spirit is annoying and does help mask you but it doesn’t completely take away the negatives of screaming. Though that’s what most of these perks in the game do. For the best people playing perks give each person a little edge but it doesn’t completely take away the benefit to an action. As survivor I just memorize where jumps are that don’t depend on vaulting in order to use balanced landing to get distance on him and loop him. It usually works to slow him down pretty well and let gens get done. He can still be looped pretty decently.

  • @GodDamn_Angela said:

I'd say he is in a good spot now.

Though BHVR failed if their main objective was to make him less frustrating/annoying to play against. Because he's not.

Lol to make him less frustrating or annoying would be to change his ability entirely. Getting your location screamed out no matter how you devise it is annoying. I’ve both played against him and played as him. He’s nice, he’s not great. There are plenty of killers better than him. But he’s a little better than he was before.

  • @Mister_Holdout said:

There is no balance. The game is survivor-sided.

I dunno man.... I’m not even that good and I decimate groups. My worst recent game was with a hag for the daily and I got a 2k but I hooked everyone at least twice and the survivors only escaped cuz they found and keyed the hatch with 2 people left. She isn’t properly leveled either so I didn’t have a lot of perks I actually like, not that I like playing as the hag anyway. Ruin is nice but a lot of survivors find the hex eventually.

  • I don’t know how to describe it but I almost wish there was another way to lobby games. I almost want different modes like casual and competitive. Some times I want to have fun and try new killers. Like I just tried death slinger and I think I hooked maybe 4 people in 10 games because I was just trying to practice shooting his barb. I’d just run around and shoot anyone I saw and if someone popped up as I downed someone I’d go after the new person instead of hooking the downed guy.

But then other times I’ll play my killers that I like and if I’m not playing at least purples it feels kinda boring, like hitting puppies.

Also I’ve continued to get rank 1,2,2,15 like almost the moment I hit rank 14. It’s crazy and I don’t get it.
