Fun is an important consideration when balancing the game.

People forget we're balancing a game, not a spreadsheet.

Marvel rivals kinda just did this in a fun way by omega basically buffing everyone and adding an entire new set of stuff to use lol.

  • Yeah they've been oddly silent on this. Surely if a midchapters gonna be skipped over wed be informed? Rightttt?

  • 1000015082.jpg

Last 30 days because this is what people say is the worst period for killer. And these have all been in the event despite how survivor sided it is. Anyone else got theirs?

The thing is, the poison is not even bad. It guarantees a Hit, there is no way the Survivor can avoid being hit after being slowed down so much. It is just boring. But then again, Remote Pallet Breaks or Exposed were also not really exciting, but at this point Survivors got garbage, so Killer Mains did not care for their abilities being boring.

Yeah I mean if its supposed to be unbalanced from the way last and this year's are it woulda been more fun probably to just give both sides their insane stuff. Killers get remote hooks and pallet breaks. Survivors get all the stuff from this one. Just embrace the chaos

Oh, I know that Otz also did a video. And it will probably be posted here, because it is SO IMPORTANT to have another Thread about the same topic.

The reality is that none of the Content Creators said anything about the unbalanced Anniversary Events before, because they were killer-sided. And the Forums also did not really care. For some reason "You dont have to play the event" and "They are not supposed to be balanced" is only a thing when the "right" side gets the good stuff.

At this point I am wondering if this keeps up until the last day of the event.

Ive just been normal queing. I did for last years. They just cant get a event fun for both apparently it always has to be such a shift. "Survivors get fragile pallets. Killers get instadown on command,tp hook, and tp pallet break" then this year. See above lol poison vs 10 survivor effects. (Though the poison if I play billy i see the effectiveness. Just poison them and free insta down). Only thing that sucks this one is the cake nerf. I have all characters at least p6 with like 3 p100s so bp is a meme but I still just like to see big cake number. And with most offerings being bad I run it to help the less fortunate to catch up to me hopefully eventually.

Why didnt those Youtubers talk about the past Anniversary Events being unbalanced?

I think the ones I watch did but I watch most of the both side creators like otz/scott/hens/mint so cant speak for all. Just at least the others had something for both sides not killer gets poison and survivors get invincibility, invisibility, haste, map wide heal, endurance, elusive. Unbreakable pallets, rebuildable pallets. Ect.

I agree, it's a very lame comment but it is from last year, not this year.

Yeah I think the problem was them ever thinking it was good to nerf it in the first place regardless because again its the anniversary. The cakes are a even bigger appeal than the event itself. Nerfing their drop rate we see whats happening now is killing the event more than the events balancing imo (which is horrendous as well ofc)

  • @Reinami said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4093908#Comment_4093908

I just tried it and its fixed, but the cakes are still hard set at specific levels, they just increased the amount of levels that it comes in at. If you do 50 levels for a whole prestige, you will get 27 cakes every single time.

Proves they know what they did i guess and its not a bug they just added more levels to the code lol

  • @AbsolutGrndZer0 said:

This change was made last year too, actually. They said back then that yes, it's intended because they don't want you to have thousands left over after the event like previous years.

Which, for other events where the items are locked to the event that makes sense, but for anniversary cakes that have always been able to be used all year round, that's BS.

My energy going back home now after work knowing what the event is like.

    1000015046.jpg
  • I mean it might help for the time investment and they could link it to the report feedback system. Because if you get the report feedback notification its because someone you also reported got banned. So everyone who reported suffered to that person at least once. So if it for your troubles gave you 250k as compensation for the cheater game I wouldnt be opposed. Other games just refund the mmr or spent stuff or scrap the game as a whole so in dbds scenario I think bp is the easiest comparison.

  • @FerrousFacade said:

I think everyone is ignoring the "Poison can also be thrown at survivors" line. If a hit on that causes enough hinder and is readily available to the killer this could become killer sided really quickly.

Itd be funny if the hinder is reduced by vigil. Because that perk has been the bane of the past few bhvr designs with hinder especially.

  • @Aven_Fallen said:

Considering that the last few events very vastly killer-sided, at some point it could have been expected to be the other way around. Remote-hooking and Remote Pallet Breaks were far better than blocking a window for a few seconds or putting up a super bad Pallet.

I can imagine that their numbers showed that less Survivors played the event the last years. Like, I did not play Survivor at all in the event queue last year.

And another factor which cannot be ignored is simply that more Survivors will be needed to play. The queuetimes for Killer are really long right now due to a Killer Only-Chapter AND that chapter being one of the most anticipated licenses ever. Having the same killer-sided Anniversary Event like usual would probably have made it even longer for Killer.

I dont really do much with the anniversary gamemode itself because eitherway its unbalanced every year. I didnt contribute when we had remote hook and break so I probably wont do much here either. Just play the normal que not like cant get cakes lol.

Good to know you basically ignored everything I said just to tell me "Jason works differently". So, instead of making a huge text, I'll simplify it for you.

What I have tested (and the results match with what other people are saying):

    1. Jason does not see pools of blood when in O-E mode.
    2. Jason does not see a red mist if you are standing still crouched (but only if you are distant from his initial O-E mode activation location, otherwise, sometimes, a red mist blinks and disappear, even if you have been crouching all along).
    3. Survivors can avoid screaming if they are crouching and moving away from a pallet or window (and, sometimes, I do scream, even if I am using "Calm Spirit", which should prevent me from screaming at any costs).

What I have tested (and the results does not match with what other people are saying):

    1. While injured, if you crouch, after a few seconds you become completely silent to all killers in general. That is fake.
    2. While injured, if you crouch, Jason cannot hear you. That is also fake. I could hear the survivor moaning, albeit not as loudly as if I was out of O-E mode. And in case you're wondering, my headphones is a "Morcego" from Fallen Store. Has amazing volume to a point where, sometimes, I have to lower to 10-20% or I'm going deaf in the near future.

hmm. yeah maybe i cant hear it over the loud wooshing in my ears i don't play with that intensity lol. ear pain is a serious deal.

I trully commend you on how hard you are trying to paint me as a fool, however, I've been playing dead by daylight for 7 years already, and I play as Killer and as Survivor. Never, in 7 years, as a survivor, I crouched and stopped moaning completely, and as a Killer, I have found countless survivors that had no Iron Will and were crouching somewhere, just by hearing them. Even if you ask any AI, it'll tell you this:

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/LMEAZ5XHRL53/captura-de-tela-2026-06-18-174031.png

Also, I was testing these things with a friend… on Coal Tower map, if you are familiar with numberpad localization method some players use, Jason was on 2 (main building) and I was on 7, near the shack. The moment he immediately entered his O-E mode, I crouched. No gen being repaired. As he came close to my location, he could also see where I was, briefly… my "red mist" blinked briefly in his screen. So, basically, we need to guess when Jason will enter his O-E mode? That is simply absurd. That 2.5 seconds delay should be removed. Coal Tower is not the biggest map, but it's also not the smallest, and he could detect me easily. So, no… I'm not playing a fool, nor telling on myself.

Do you remember when Kaneki was released? So many players were asking for nerfs, while killer mains were rejoicing and saying "survs cry too much, learn how to play against it". Kaneki was one of the most lethal killers of all times, alongside Nurse, Spirit, Blight, etc. Were they all making a fool of themselves?

well instead of asking chatgpt because that is how it works against most killers but jason is unique i suggest you check his page which is endorsed by bhvr themselves

Jason Voorhees - The Slasher - Official Dead by Daylight Wiki

You cannot see Survivors. Nearby Survivors can be sensed with Mist Clouds if they are standing still or with Footprints when they are moving.
Survivors who are crouch walking cannot be sensed by any means.

meaning unlike other killers even if a survivor is injured as long as they crouch his thing cannot see them at all and he cannot hear them. So if jason literally goes into his power to chase you. immedately start crouch walking and you will be fine.

  • He cant tell who hes seeing mostly so ive found success by having the better loopers be the ones to draw him out by working on gens in prep for him to appear. He chases them for a while we get some progress. He maybe drops and then the next person also tries to stall. You have to accept he will always find someone but you can decide who he finds.

Yeah I agree. I personally don't have much opinion on Vecna or Dracula as I've barely played either of them. They're just not my type of killers. I get your point though and agree.

I know many of the B tiers getting buffs like Springtrap can be controversial to some, but I at least think the community as a whole should be able to agree that anything C tier and below should be able to safely have buffs thrown at them without question or concern. I mean things like Pig, or Ghostface, or Doctor ect ect. These killers are low enough that this shouldn't really be a question imo.

Yeah springtraps also issue is having a power counter on a killer with ample warning and average strength. They even said with the micro buffs "if survivors want or chose to use a camera" so it sounds like they are perfectly okay with a killer having a power counter thats entirely optional. And the power has interesting features like the camera ignoring normal undetectable (doesnt matter when he warns you enough ahead of time with the door warning and loud footsteps) but you never see that because you dont need to.

  • @Blueberry said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4089509#Comment_4089509

Yeah I'm not really referencing Springtrap here, I suppose I phrased that poorly. He is popular. I do think he's a bit weak though personally.

I do find Jason to just be a better Springtrap tbh as you're referencing. I personally couldn't really get into Springtrap as he just felt too weak and clunky to me. Jason feels better designed. I wish they'd smooth out some of Springtraps clunkyness.

Yeah somewhat hoping that similar what happened with lich and dracula where dracula just kinda innovated much better on vecnas stuff that they ended up doing a big patch on vecna in numerous ways to make him good in his own way. (I still think dracula goes higher but vecna is very fun regardless) so with jason they have a reason to raise springtraps bar in his own way.

  • @Blueberry said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4089429#Comment_4089429

Yeah I really don't understand the insane push back on buffing all the very bad killers that are hardly played while simultaneously complaining that they get the same killers over and over.

Oh springtrap isnt hardly played i love him personally. Thats why jason is so good to me as well. Its just hard to not see him as what springtap COULD have been. He appears with a jumpscare which coulda been good for springtrap with his signature shriek. The 115 basically after jumpscaring leaning into it. The tracking from doing so. The ability to 2 tap with spear into melee vs springtrap who actually has a longer cooldown for hit (8 seconds). Also fundamentally quiet besides his footsteps but they aint any louder than other options I think. Springtrap sounds like a freight train coming at you.

  • or he could donate the money if he wants or keep it? really up to him? i dont even know what we are trying to prove here. low tier killers are low. they can still win. Putting a prize for charity on it via challenging a dev would not do anyone asking for those buffs any favor. I'm sure they are aware some killers have fallen behind and their time will come.

  • Scared to death would be fine if vigil didnt exist if im honest. I know people will jump on the campaign its not a vigil issue but it very much is. This is basically freddy/clown slowdown for kicking a pallet. But eitherway id probably have it be after a hook like other hexs.

Rampage possibly give more tokens on break?

    Shadow is fine.

The game was originally balanced around the Survivors not having communication. It’s evolved and now you have the live action-HUD to give you most of the information you need. Adding comms to the game would only make it worse with how toxic and whiny the player base is.

If you really want comms, learn how to make friends and play SWF

Yeah we do have discord for people who want to get communication. Even dbd discord has many groups you can team with.

Yes, both of those would be great! I hope individual character customization goes even further than what Overwatch has.

Knows you like original freddy. They add a modding gamemode teasing you can possibly change around abilities. Very interesting. Lol.

  • Lol its mostly a idea I saw from black cat in MR. When she kills or injures someone shes marked she gets money. The money lets her buy moves. So in slinger case he hits the bounty survivor getting cash. With the cash he can buy a faster vault or pallet break. Even more for downing and hooking the survivor.

  • @zonkednb said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4086452#Comment_4086452

That would make him more unique, especially if Slinger himself chooses who to apply the bounty to (with the obvious condition that you can't reapply it to a recently unhooked survivor).

Or maybe you become the bounty if you've contributed the most gen progress after a specific time, resetting the timer when you get downed. When a bounty appears, get KI briefly to set you on their trail. Win the 1v1, secure the hook, and get a reward.

Now it just depends on what that reward is.

He gets money and maybe the money lets him buy a pallet break or faster vault or something lol. Would be fun. Coffee gives a speed boost or smthn.

  • @zonkednb said:

I agree that Slinger is weak, but that's because the skill floor with him is so high, with a higher skill ceiling. If you're not closing out chases with him quickly, you are losing, because you get no soft landing in the form of quickly applying pressure elsewhere, or secondary objective slowdown.

That being said, 4.6 isn't the right direction for him. Encouraging less use of his power would undercut his identity a little.

Something that encourages use of his power and rewards good use of it, sort of like Trickster's rank system, would be nice and make him feel a bit more satisfying.

So, using rank as placeholder name for this system and spitballing:

    • Consecutive hits with his power increases his rank.
    • Missing with his power lowers his rank but significantly less than hits increase it.
    • Each rank gained increases base reload speed and base reeling speed.
    • At maximum rank, progress gets locked and Slinger can choose when to activate it.
    • Once activated, Slinger can injure and down without reeling in by landing a shot with an even faster reload speed, for a short duration. This will have a global cue for when ready to activate, when activated, and when complete.
    • Slinger then returns to base level. Repeat.

It would make him reward more for accuracy/consistency. Numbers would need significant tweaking to avoid this being a 'wait to snowball' sitaution, but I don't claim the game design chops to know what the numbers should be.

I was gonna say a bounty system and he gets a buff for chasing whos Wanted: currently.

We are not currently sharing any information on the Survivor perks coming later; we are only sharing what changes are going live with The Slasher's release.

I guess this gets the feedback though on how people feel about it. Reading the twitter post too lol.

  • @Aven_Fallen said:

I mean, first of all, it is subjective what people like or dislike. E.g. there are Survivors who complain about Aura Reading, while others have no issue with that.

Personally, I am that kind of person who heavily dislikes Killers who run too many Slowdown-Perks. The game is balanced around having some form of Slowdown, but nobody really NEEDS 4 Slowdown-Perks. Running 4 Slowdowns is basically prolonging the game to a point where all ressources are gone and the longer a match takes, the more killer-sided it gets.

Obviously, this also depends on the Killer. If you are running Blight with 4 Slowdowns and Double Speed, I question that you are not really confident in playing Killer. If you run multiple Slowdowns on Trapper, you will more likely need it. But even there I would still say that you dont need 4 Slowdowns. That most Slowdown-Perks are not affected by Diminishing Returns makes it even a bigger issue for me. Like, if I would use Dejavu and Resilience to increase Genspeeds, a Killer who uses PGTW and Pain Res will have no issue with Diminishing Returns while I will have Dejavu reduced. Just as an example.

Overall I think a mix of Slowdown, Chase and Information Perks is important and the most healthy. And this brings me to my main point why I really dislike Killers who bring 4 Slowdowns - it is braindead. You can run the same 4 Slowdowns on every Killer without using a single thought on it. And especially on Killer you have so much variety that way more Perks become interesting, depending on the Killer you are playing. E.g. you can use vastly different Perks on a Stealth Killer, a Setup Killer, a Chase Killer or a Mobility Killer. Yet some people decide to use the same 4 Perks on each of them. And for me it is much more interesting to use different Perks. E.g. high mobility Killers or Killers who need to build their power (e.g. Nemesis) can easily run Lethal Pursuer (and the high mobility Killers BBQ as well). While a Chase Killer might benefit from using Brutal Strength or Spirit Fury/Enduring. Killers who can vault can use Dissolution. A Killer who mainly injures with M1 can use Sloppy Butcher, while a Killer who uses their power to down people can use Gift of Pain.

Ive been on a stealth streak since secret project came out. Apex muffler stealth billy is terrifying lol. Its funny to do on killers not normally silent. Spirit is another one. Bubba can be scary if he just shows up. Stealth killers you kinda expect it. Wesker you dont.

  • @Aven_Fallen said:

Why do Killers feel that they are entitled to their pity Kill in Endgame? LIke… You reached Endgame as the Killer, meaning you failed to protect 5 Gens. So the reward should be a guaranteed Kill on a Survivor? (And before someone comes at me - I call hatch a pity escape as well which Survivors should also not be entitled about…)

And funny enough, if Endurance in Endgame is removed, I bet that this would lead to overall less Kills in Endgame. Because situations where Survivors try to get everyone out and fail would happen less, since less people will be trying to save someone in Endgame if this person does not gain Endurance, since it is very, very unlikely that they would make it out.

I mean to be fair bhvr themselves have gone on record saying they want the endgame to be "fair game" with stuff like DS OTR and the like deactivating at endgame. Just depends how much they mean by that because with 15 seconds you could have something like deli or 4% and get out despite how close the game was lol. If the killer has killed 2 survivors and catches the 3rd at endgame and hooks them. Thats a pretty close game. And they just jump off and run out. Eitherway its a pity escape/hook. Just depends what side they wanna take. Just that 4%/deliv makes a win into a draw in that case because from 3 to 2.

  • @Aven_Fallen said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4084731#Comment_4084731

What about m1 killers that doesnt have ranged ability or great mobility? F them, who cares?

I even wrote that those should be buffed. But you wont increase their playrate if you nerf Survivor-Perks. As I said, people will not suddenly stop playing Blight or Ghoul when Survivor-Perks get nerfed, since they will just have easier games with them.

I mean its not even just low tiers. Pyramid is strong in chase once you finally get into range. Just SB makes that take forever. Like pointed out. Same for trickster thats why people want 115 back nothing about his actual chase but moreso getting up to people in the first place.

  • @Aven_Fallen said:

And the goalpost gets moved further and further. Killers know that if they complain enough, they get more and more from the Devs. Now Sprint Burst is the target, once this is done, we will see people calling for Lithe-Nerfs.

You dont lose games because of Sprint Burst. You lose games because you are not as good as you think you are. Try to improve instead of getting everything nerfed.

Feel free to downvote, this is also easier than trying to become good at a game.

But you can actually lose games to this perk depending on your mobility through pure distance gain. You'd say trickster is a more close range killer to get value same for springtrap or unknown right? So everytime the survivor sees you they gain Sprint burst distance with vigil ghost notes. Your option is chase them with their insane headstart or find someone else over and over. Big surprise when they are the last standing at the end because this perk literally FORCES no interactivity. Sure you can win anyway but its not fun or fair for the people not running the perk would ya say? Eitherway I wouldn't call it healthy by any means because its just even by better players as the "drop chase with them go kill everyone else who doesnt have it" no want to downvote since I dont do that I just think this is ignoring what makes this perk uninteractive, boring, unhealthy. Like lets say im doctor or bubba or nemi. I see Meg on a gen 20 meters away. Before I even get close to her she SBs away gaining another 20 meters into a fully resourced area of the map. Unhook notification behind me. I know neither have it they just saved and I hooked in a advantageous area where I already used resources. Guess what choice is screaming in my ear right now. Chase someone 30-40 meters away now. Or go back.

  • Knight needs so much love i dropped him because it feels like he doesnt do anything against even halfway competent survivors. They touch a window. Or round a loop right till banner spawns and instant end chase. Where's this much counterplay to any high tier killer? Touching hook also instant removes them which no other killer gives that far as i know I can still saw someone at hook as billy or bubba. The guards themselves are easy enough to just run from being 102 i think to 110 with assassin lol. Sprint burst or lithe basically 1 move removes your power.

  • Chainsaw only billy (im a p100 one i never use the hammer) lol. Freddy, sadakos, houndmasters because we've all suffered to shoddy design choices yet continued to treck through.

  • Yeah idk how difficult it is to look at least used perks and just number buff them. If dark devotion already has 45 seconds in the code. Is it that difficult to go in and make it 50 for instance? I would think thats very easy to do 1 person could even do it. Like the doctor shock thing wasnt even much of a animation change we talking 0.05 so lol. If they even just did that id be happy. And they get 3 months to do this. It just feels like miss management if they cant have someone at least number tweaking.

  • They need to give springtrap more of his own flare like how when dracula released and he powercrept lich. Both should be good at their own things. Id like them to lean into more springtraps stealth because he is the jumpscare killer. Make his footsteps and audio a lot quieter because it makes his stealth kinda a meme without glitchtrap. And probably remove the door glitch warning because if Jason can appear right next to you why does springtrap give you 10 business days to gain distance removing the point of the warp? Also just one id love to see. Have the jumpscare animation play on grabs off gens and survivors instead of a normal grab animation. Imagine working on something and you just have your camera forced to the side as he jumpscares you.

  • @Mandy said:

There are no plans to have live design changes during new content release - history has shown us that this is more problematic in getting feedback on new content as well as the changes.

Yay a month and a half longer of the same stuff we've been seeing for the past year. What happened to the big perk meta shifts to liven things up? Im tired of seeing the same set of 12 on both sides I get hyperfocus is a goated perk but seeing it for a year plus gets old. Lol. Or sprint burst and lithe. Pain res and lethal. Take your pick ig.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/467610/another-undocumented-survivor-nerf-lockers

Hey there! Thanks for flagging this. Would you be able to report this on BetaHub (including your player logs and/or video if you're able)? That way, the team can look into this.

    https://app.betahub.io/projects/pr-5642738318

Essentially, if anything ever feels out of the ordinary and it hasn't been mentioned in patch notes, don't hesitate to flag it on BetaHub. That's the most direct way to get it in front of the team to investigate and determine whether there might be a bug at play.

I acknowledge this is probably a bug and going to be fixed but it did have the nice side effect of removing the uncounterable locker saves being back. Because people slow come out of the locker so you either grab them. (Which doesnt give you the flashlight invincibility as normal pulling them out) or you have to back up and swing and down them normally but that forces you to slug them to chase after another survivor which creates a similar problem that locker flashlight invincibility intended to solve. Could we see the flashlight invincibility extend to pulling survivors out of the exit locker or slow enter locker prompts as well? Dont have a problem with backing up and smacking them to down them as its still the better move anyway but it seems weird you can still be flashlighted out of a locker when the whole intention was to remove that. Thanks!

I almost never see Survivors giving up, neither as Survivor nor as Killer. So MAYBE it is the way you play? If you wait 10 minutes, maybe dont make the game as unfun as possible for the other side, so they are more likely to actually interact with you.

Or you are straight up lying or exaggerating if you say it is happening in every game.

When a survivor afks or tries to go next after getting caught in a trapper trap. Idk what to tell you. Dont agree with op how often it happens. But it does happen. Ive seen many bad reasons in the 10 years.

Here we are like 9 hours later and stuff is finally picking up. They kinda got people to watch nothing for a few hours when they coulda just slept and woke up in the morning and not missed much. Lack of transparency and being directly told "you dont wanna miss this" kinda hurt people

  • Sees its houndmaster reports. Well theres your problem. Half joke. They have a lot to do and even more pop up everytime.

  • i wouldnt mind whispers doing something like that it might make getting across the map even easier for traverse killers but the difference might be only a few seconds compared to the amount of time M1 would save with it. i wouldnt mind if it was on a ptb or something

  • Damn the C.Cs that will have their ques tanked because noone wants to lose to them by chance. We've seen it in OW for instance where creators had their ques tanked just because people were afraid of facing them.

Then, when it comes to prestige, it is basically meaningless. P100s are not rare nowadays, many people have multiple P100s. You can have a Lobby with 2 Prestige 3s and 2 Prestige 2s and they can still be P100 on other Survivors. the player is the same. As Killer it is a bit more meaningful, but even there I see people who are on P100-Killers and are not just good at the game. So you can also suck your way up to P100. To give a very extreme example: You can never play Killer and have P100-Killers, because you can just put BPs earned on Survivor into one Killer. So yeah, Prestige does not mean anything nowadays.

Then MMR: There is a Soft Cap and once you reach this, all players above it get mixed together. And personally, I think all this does is protecting new players from experience players, because above the Soft Cap, Matchmaking is pretty much random. You can be barely above the Soft Cap and then face people who are top Tier players. E.g. if the Soft Cap is 1600 and your MMR is 1620, you can face players who have 3000 MMR. They are way better than you from the MMR perspective, but MMR throws all together. Main reason for this is that otherwise some players would not really find matches. And often enough those are Streamers and it would be bad advertisement for the game if someone like Otz does not do funny challenges but waits in the Lobby for 30 minutes each time and probably even plays a different game while waiting.

And last point is backfilling. Once a player leaves the Lobby, the Matchmaker decides to favor speed over fairness. So the ranges are increased and the longer the players in the Lobby wait, the greater are those ranges. So lets say there is a Lobby at high MMR with 2000 MMR Survivors. A Killer with roughly the same MMR joins, looks at the profiles and decides that it is unfair that those Survivors have more than 10 hours and leaves. Now the matchmaker tries to find another Killer quicker and then Baby Trapper with 60 hours joins and has one of the most miserable games of their life. And I have actually seen this happen once, our Lobby was 22k hours combined (2 2 man SWFs) and the Killer (Trapper) had below 100 hours. Nobody was toxic towards him, but he obviously did not have a good time. And the reason for that is because a more suitable opponent dodges, because they were looking for a easier Lobby.

So whenever you feel really outclassed, it might be because someone else decided that they want an easier game and you were the casualty of that.

Yeah pretty much this. Also the weirdness that is "each killer has their own mmr" when i can play billy my veteran 4k heavy Killer. And do a huntress game and see the same people lol. I dont normally win my huntress games and these i get even more blown out of the water. Makes ya feel like well if your gonna get the same teams if your playing your weakest or your highest. Might as well bring your best for a chance.

The prospect of Darth Vader coming to a horror game before Jason is kind of crazy to me..

I think most people bring up the vader hallway scene

Because they dont like to create new addons or make new effects, same with killer power reworks I get it takes time and doesnt produce money but its something that has to be done unless they want people to play few killers or only use two addons on each killer because they are the best in every category.

    Looks at pyramid head,billy,freddy,trickster Right...

I still don‘t get the reason why they don‘t make the most used addons of weaker killers fully basekit when they are as weak as they are. Instead they always make the addon partially basekit and repeat the same process 20 times, only to make the same addon more and more pointless to run.

I assume i cant speak for them but theyd rather wait for something big like a full addon pass to do the big new addons. So its easier bandwidth wise to just do the basekit thing and leave it just equal to the value if you ran both the addons to not make it to insane. Then when they do a addon pass they can say "okay we wanna fully put these into base and we can give these new effects" what id expect for doctor if they wanted a big change for him for instance.
