Friday The 13th movies are among the worst slasher movies of all time. Change my mind.

Make him immune to perks like Spine Chill while in Evil Within 1. Reduce the amount required to enter Evil Within 2.
This would allow him to try to make stealth plays early on while also enabling him to leave tier 1 when the player feels its appropriate.
-
Who cares. I haven't used a mori since 2016.
-
To be fair this you are probably feeling this way because you are new. Don't let these forums fool you: this game is actually in a pretty well balanced place right now, maybe slightly in favor of killers. Sure every now and then you will come against a good swf team and only get a few kills but make no mistake, if you learn how to play killer efficiently you will be absolutely smashing 95% of the survivor playerbase with relative ease.
-
I mean what you described is literally tunneling. You chased him, hooked him, chased him, got ds'd, chased him, got pallet saved. That is tunneling. Just because he didn't die doesn't mean it wasn't. \
Perhaps most people don't know what tunneling means. If you are ignoring your other objectives to do one thing, you are tunneling.

3217 hours. Devotion 6 Level 70
I was probably right around 2000 hours when devotion came out.
-
Friendly as in don't kill anyone? Or friendly in don't tunnel/camp? When I play I am just looking to have fun so farm games I usually peace out on. I am a "friendly" killer in that I don't use addons/don't camp/don't tunnel and in 99% of my games I will give the last survivor hatch. Game is in a pretty awful state for people playing solo/duo queue survivor right now.

Wow dude, if you actually read what I was saying, I said the strategy is applying pressure appropriately, and it's impossible to apply pressure to literally every gen. Even the top killers and streamers say you have to rely on survivors making mistakes the majority of the time. I'm consistently a red rank killer, and I get three kills the majority of my games. I know what I'm talking about dude. A well organized team will literally always have the advantage. And if you don't think that's the case you prolly rest at like the green ranks dude
Hey dude, who are these people you deem "top killer streamers" dude? Dude, you can't protect every gen dude. I know that dude but you can protect most of them. Dude rank means a TON in this game, legit it is an accurate measurement of skill. Totally dude.

So what if I dropped a chase after a hit, what is he gonna get back on that gen and I put pressure on a different gen? Then that one guy is gonna get back on that gen while I waste time looking for more pressure while MORE survivors have no pressure since I dont have a hook
I mean does it make sense to drop chase at that point? Does the survivor have strong tiles nearby and you won't be able to down him quickly? Did you get a few pallets? Do you know where the other survivors are? Where did the survivors spawn? How long has it been since you checked the gens where they spawned?
The game isn't just find survivor, down survivor, hook survivor, find survivor, down survivor, hook survivor. Need to use your brain a bit if you want to be good at killer.

Seriously. I just had a match where the survivors send me to Ormond, and were a swf group (Can confirm cause I messaged them) of 3. Then had 3 gens pop in less than 2 minutes cause they were all on one by themselves. I had a relatively fast down, but how am I supposed to put pressure on three gens while I'm in the middle of a chase, or better yet, even if I got to one of them after my first chase, how do I put pressure on two of them while chasing the second? They said I tunneled, and to be fair I did. But there was no other way I was gonna get a kill. I said, what you're doing is a little rude, then they said they were all laughing at me and to chill it's just a game. And I was a little tilted, but what could I have done? I was able to get the last two on their last hook, but of course they have borrowed, decisive, and were body blocking. I'm not sayoing every game is like this. But if they have the potential to do this, it just doesn't seem very fair.
I don't understand this mindset. If you are losing 3 gens within 2 minutes of the game starting you are making HUGE mistakes. Just because you start a chase does not mean you need to end it with a down. You need to be able to look at what is available to the survivor and judge if you can down them in a timely manner. If not, get a hit? Go check a gen. Get a pallet? Go check a gen. Mindlessly tunneling someone until they are down and losing 3 gens because of it is your fault.
-
Hillbilly because of the stupid noise he makes every time he takes off now.
-
The same as it should mean to everyone else: nothing. Survivor rank has always been more of a time-spent thing.
Killer rank might have meant something in the early days of dbd but it is so god damn easy to play killer these days that it means nothing now.
-
Because if I lose I need something to blame because I am incapable of realizing I made mistakes and needed to play better.
-
Why slug for the 4k when you can give the last survivor hatch? feelsgoodman
It's already bad enough playing solo queue right now, gotta give them something.
-
Bro you can't even see the skin, why you spending money on other peoples enjoyment.

So you think killers at high ranks are OP in comparison to high rank Survivors/Swfs?
What is your complaint?
I think the devs are trying to balance this game. I think these dead zones are going to eventually eliminate bloodlust.
But currently, 4 Survivors that play optimally and with teamwork, completing gennys as the priority have the advantage in this game.
Yeah! I hate that 1% of games where I play against a 4 man swf team that plays the game in an incredibly particular way that makes it hard for me. PREACH IT BROTHER! NERF SURVIVORS!
-
I don't even like Bethesda games, but this was fantastic. 10/10 meme

How do you keep playing through the endless BS some survivor players throw at you nearly EVERY MATCH. GGEZ if they win, Endless cycle of excuse on top of excuse if you win.
Hell I'll go a step further, if you're one of the survivors(or killers) that feel the need be a [BAD WORD] after a game why do you feel the need to do it? I'm genuinely curious.
It's really not that hard to play killer right now. In fact, it has never been easier. It has gotten to the point where I give the hatch 100% of the time to the last survivor because I know how ######### it is to play solo/duo queue right now. 4 man swf changes this a bit but 99% of swf teams are beatable. These forums would have you believe that playing swf turns your average survivor into a swf swat team all equipped with flashlights, toolboxes and assault rifles. It doesn't. Most of them are still awful
In terms of toxic survivors it has been probably 100+ games since I have had anyone upset at the way I played. And if someone t bags you or clicks a flashlight at you? Who cares.

It's so wild how many folks just refuse to touch a Gen until they know you can see them, then they hop on one like they've been on it.
I duo queue with my wife and I love it when she will be getting chased right away, I get a gen to like 75-80% and some random runs up to help me finish it. Like...what uh, what were you doing so far this game bud?
-
None of these survivors played very well. This was absolutely winnable. In just the first 60 seconds you have some weird pathing issues, you pause at the shack (for?) and then chase Cheryl across the map into a safe jungle gym. She dropped pallet and instead of leaving immediately (that tile is now much weaker) and returning to the side of the map where you know there are survivors probably working on gens (you have Ruin - use it) you continue to chase. Not sure how you think you only made 2 minor mistakes.
Don't over-commit to chases and protect gens (especially with Ruin up). Tighten up your pathing/movement, especially during chases. You don't seem to move your camera very much during chases and thus lose people pretty frequently, try to work on this.
-
I prefer to just run Bond so I can always see my teammates not doing generators.
-
For me its utter boredom. The vast majority of survivor players are god awful. Pair that with how dumbed down killer has become and there is very little challenge to be had for competent killers.
-
All of the maps released in the last ~2 years.

The skill required to play killer. haHAA
But really, old Billy. And by old Billy I mean back before they tried to "fix" the shadow chainsaw issue. (They didn't fix it - they just made his chainsaw hitbox hilariously large.) Also, the new grunt he makes when taking off is enough to make me never want to play him again.
-
I get a jump scare when I go down and see all 3 of my teammates on generators.

Last week or two or last year or four?

Something a lot of people overlook is how much pressure the killer loses when he kills someone with a mori. The remaining 3 survivors don't have to stop what they're doing to go and unhook the (now) dead survivor. If people were messing around then sure, the game could snowball really quickly, but if the killer is having a little trouble getting survivors down in the first place, that's a loss of 3 gens.
Start using ebony mori in your games, you'll see it's not the instant win that it seems like.
Lol, this is great. I have never seen someone try to imply ebony mori's favor the survivor.
-
Does anyone remember the old Rogues Take Zero Skill videos from vanilla wow? I always picture most of the killer mains on the forums as the rogue in those videos.
"GOD DAMNIT! Survivors are so overpowered. They either gotta be nerfed or killers gotta be buffed. #########!"

One side having more "bad coding" then the other side sounds like poor balance to me lol
Why do you quote "bad coding?" Is it not bad coding to have such awful bugs? Are you implying that the devs intend to have ######### coding in their game to secretly screw over killers?

Isnt the percentage of red rank killers only about 10% of all killer players?
Survivor functions pretty well, maybe sometimes I get hit through a pallet or a window and I think "theres no way".
But every time I play killer theres always something like a missed grab animation, a downed survivor teleporting, or poor hit tracking.
I mean rank doesn't really mean anything other than time spent at this point. Maybe at one point in time it did when there were things like actual infinites in the game but not today.
Those are just examples of bad coding on the devs part not poor balance.

Wow thats very intuitive of you lol, did you come up with that yourself?
Killers are pretty consistent with their complaints.
Survivor complaints are a mixed bag of however theyre feeling that day.
You can be mediocre at survivor and still hit rank 5, while mediocre killers would struggle to get out of green ranks, especially with the matchmaking system
This is inaccurate. You don't need to be mediocre, you can be god awful at either side and still get to rank 1. The solution to most of either sides complaints right now is just playing better. The game is pretty well balanced. Most people don't want to get better, they just want the game to get easier.

Honestly I think gens need to be reworked. I heard an idea that rather than sitting on a gen for 80 seconds survivors should have to gather 2-4 parts per generator scattered around the map. I love that idea because it would masisvely slow the game down without being boring
If this was added in they would need to massively reduce the amount of time it would take to install said parts. If it still took 80 seconds + having to find these parts the game would be comically easy as killer.

I think until the day that they give survivors a mini map with the killers location on it at all times, there will always be a survivor main somewhere asking for a nerf
I think until the day that they give killers a mini map with the survivors location on it at all times, there will always be a killer main somewhere asking for a nerf.
Do you see what I did there?
-
None of them.
I hate the Hillbilly chase music and the awful grunt he makes every time he takes off is enough to make me never want to play him again.
-
I don't use addons ever and I play exclusively Demogorgon, Trapper, Myers and Wraith. People seem to think Trapper and Wraith are weak. People are dumb. Every killer is viable at every rank.
-
Never understood this myself, seems like a giant waste of time. But then again I always give the last survivor hatch regardless because playing survivor is awful right now.
-
Good killers won't see a difference this weekend. The main issue here is that most people (the vast majority of people complaining about balance on these forums: on both sides) think they are much better than they actually are. You can always play better, people don't wanna hear that when they lose though. Lots of great killer streamers out there people can learn from - I believe Goose went 8+ hours the other day playing a variety of killers with no addons and did not lose a single kill. A perfect example that you can always play better.
-
I don't get it, what is the point of this post?
You linked a video of extremely poor gameplay to show that you still need bloodlust?
-
3k, I always let the last person take hatch because playing survivor is pretty feelsbadman right now. Killers on this forum be complaining about nerfing survivors when playing killer has legit never been easier.
-
My tier list if you want to win as killer consistently:
- Play better, this game is really not that hard.
-
As survivor:
I don't bring in items unless my build revolves around it. Example: I am using Detective's Hunch.
Even though it is really not that big of a deal I do not ever run DS. Most of the time it is Iron Will, exhaustion perk, 2 fun perks.
As killer:
I don't use addons or mori's. Ever.
I don't use perks/perk combos I think are too strong. Example: Undying/Ruin/Tinkerer
I don't camp/tunnel
If I know where hatch is I will give the last survivor hatch. Even if they were being gasp TOXIC! and pressing crouch too many times!
As both:
Try not to be an ass to people in game.

Yeah, really stick it to them. You know what else I bet they'd hate? If you didn't chase them for another 40 seconds, then they'd have Dead Hard up again, and you've really shown them what for.
Hell yeah dog, tunnel those pesky op survivors down while 3 gens get done. Easy game easy life.

But nahh man you right survivors just op, buff killers.

Is it? How do you play around it when they use it to reach a loop/pallete/vault point?
Let them Dead Hard, they drop the pallet, turn around and leave to go protect a gen. It's a big brain gamer play.

Sprint Burst is fine but Dead Hard definitely should have tokens considering how braindead is just pressing E.
It's pretty braindead to play around Dead Hard as well.

Haven't been winning much games lately, running hex ruin and hex undying but they're more or less useless most games. What happens usually is : i find a survivor, chase him for a normal amount of time, catch him and put him on a hook. Great, while I was doing that 3 gens have been done and my game is lost. I'm not the best killer but I feel like unless I catch a survivor in 10 seconds, I literally don't have time to prevent gens from being done. Any advice ?
"Chasing a survivor for a normal amount of time" and "3 gens have been done."
What.
If 3 gens are being done before you down someone you are making massive, game-losing mistakes. Do people not understand that just because you start a chase does not mean that it needs to end with that survivor going down? Get a hit, get a few pallets, and leave it and protect gens if it is taking this long.
-
Demogorgon: Everyone in the trial receives double blood points. All players are overwhelmed with happiness as they are either playing as or against Demogorgon. Rejoice
Friendly reminder that seasons 2 and 3 of Stranger Things are still garbage though.
-
Favorite: Nurse and of course Demogorgon even though Stranger Things seasons 2 and 3 are garbage.
I would add Huntress and Hillbilly to this list if their hitboxes weren’t so hilariously bad.
Least favorite: Pyramid Head, Deathslinger, Spirit, Oni and Trapper just because he gives me ptsd for the next few games because I’ll still have the notion that everything is trapped despite the next few games being against different killers.
-
People exaggerate how often they get camped and/or have a really flawed definition of camping. Tunneling happens all the time though. You can usually tell who is going to tunnel and who won’t just based on their skill in a chase.
