I mean, an in-game trailer showing gameplay is all they need. But I guess they know we're all going to watch streamers play ptb anyway. But yeah, seemed like they didn't have time to make it a bigger deal.
-
Now we know why those medkits add-ons were changed.
-
My theory is they want survivors to escape more while killers have fun hitting, chasing and hooking, occasionally killing all 4. It's probably best for the game in the long run as most play survivor.
-
I think he's fun both ways. For me, doc is the most annoying. They watered him down but I still can't stand him.
-
This community always jumps to conclusions fast with nary a thought about the future. They said about a year ago that expect change always from now on. The pendulum will always be swinging.
-
Guys let's see it in action before jumping to conclusions? If people are trying to sabo then they aren't working on gens. This is a good idea as it brings sabo back to life, something that was left behind.
-
It's in the book. See chapter 4 page 12,345.
-
Bring the perks if slugging is so frequent for you.
-
Because it's the last thing they can't control in turning this game into a gen sim. I mean, they could do totems but then they can't turn on gens in under 2 minutes.
-
No.
-
Actually, this is a year or more late, but better than never.
-
Noed HAS been nerfed into the ground.
-
Only survivors are allowed 5 second chance perks, several times on hook, and coordinated communication. Why don't they just start making bad AI killer bots? Survivors would be in heaven.

Unbiased. 😂

The range is pretty wide so you should just stay hidden until you can keep moving. Other than that their is no counter.

Yes he was annoying before but now he’s just insufferable. Just played a round against him and it was not fun in the least. Also, is he faster now? Nobody could loop him as he caught up right away without any effort. I thought the whole nerf/rework patch was based on him being annoying? So they made him extra annoying or what?
He's actually more watered down and slightly tolerable now, believe it or not. It's just we aren't used to so many as few played him. He was and is my most hated to go against.
-
Nope. It's fun.

Perk wise, devour hope and make your choice are both really nasty surprises imo.
Agi + Iron grasp is also a surprise when you get hauled into the basement to die on first hook.
Bamboozle, spirit fury + enduring, bloodwarden, etc etc are all pretty filthy to get hit with.
There's also plenty of "gotcha" add-ons like tombstone, iri heads, honing stone traps, exposed clown bottles, etc etc.
So I don't agree with that.
Good point. Devour is the closest as it's a surprise middle game NOED causing tension but usually destroyed quickly after activation. I'm surprised people don't complain about Devour more, maybe because nobody uses it. Make Your Choice isn't surprising as it tells you (and the killer is far away). Spirit Fury is good but yeah, only with Enduring. Bamboozle is like Iron Maiden once they know it's not so good. Bloodwarden would be good if every group didn't 99% gates now.
-
It was for tension and allows you to leave if you know it's useless to struggle. I agree it needs a rework, maybe just hold a button and let go when you want to die.
-
Honestly, I think the game for survivors SHOULD become more dangerous after gens are done, not less. I really think it's time to take another look at end-game and move it up to when the last gen is done and not when the gates are opened because everyone 99% them. Survivors have this idea that because they got all the gens on they are entitled to a free escape. Currently it's just not pressuring them enough and they feel too safe. NOED is the only surprise killers have left and it's been watered down so many times already.
-
I'll just tell you right now... When the game first came out, survivors lobby hopped until they found their friends. It was so bad that they had to add a timer (that we still have). People also review bombed the game until the devs released (a very broken) Survive With Friends mode. It literally saved the game.
What would be healthier would be to show the killer HOW many friends they are going up against. If that seems unfair, then at the very least show them AFTER the match. I think a lot of killers blame their loses on friends but in reality probably only 2 actually were or maybe none.
-
It would be nice if the survivor didn't scream map-wide letting EVERYONE know you have Iron Maiden. I understand if they are friends they will tell, but not everyone is friends. So once one does it, nobody ever goes into a locker again. The only time I found that it works sort of secretly is when playing Doc because it gets lost in all the screaming already going on.
-
I think grabbing is just bugged. I doubt these survivors are gods and know the precise millisecond to let go. xD
-
I sometimes go into a locker during BBQ (if I'm far away)get out of it and then giggle and watch as they check it. :P
-
Can't you use a micro, or maybe just tap it lightly? I use a controller so it's not an issue.
-
We can zap if we want too.
-
He already has enough cool-down and has been changed before. He used to have his own flick.
-
Please, let's give the doc even more powers...
-
I'm just saying it wouldn't be that much of a difference compared to a shooter game where a mouse would be far superior over a controller. In DBD the only diff is killers can turn around faster/ survivors can move camera faster. Just my opinion, I could be wrong. Regardless, I think they should add crossplay to help que times and so we can play with friends that don't have it on PC or whatever. That is all. :P
-
The camera is slower for sure with a gamepad, but only takes getting used to. Playing killer can not be compared to a shooter by any means. 360s are not easier to do on a controller. It's nearly identical. I go back and forth from Steam and PS4 and notice absolutely no diff.

There was suggestion to make it optional in some other thread. That would be good. So you can mark every platform (not your own) which you don't want to be matched with. Then you can decide to take the queue times or the probably imbalanced controls. Also a good thing, because as you can find out if it really is a big issue for you, then just set the option again.
I've played them all (minus Xbox) and they control the same with a controller. They have already implemented new controller support for Steam. Keyboard/Mouse wouldn't have a huge advantage as this is not a shooter. Killers can turn around faster, but that's about it. I bet you would never even notice.

In all fairness, your always gonna see a massive boom from a free weekend. Lets see where the game is at after a week or so to see more realistic numbers.
I know you are really hoping your favorite game fails, but hate to break it to you... over 30k players today. Sorry.
-
DS needs another look as it still gets abused, but man is it better than it used to be.
-
Good. Ranks are outdated and no longer mean anything. Another placebo gone. Sadly people enjoy their placebos.

Not sure where you get the stats from, steamcharts says max peak for the last 30 days is 44k. But yes, the last time players average was below 20k was August 2019. And since October it is pretty constant on 23k, January is currently at a 4% gain over last month
From Steam. I just was curious one Sunday morning and looked and it had over 60k players playing. Granted it was on sale (and also free weekend I think). However, the game still has a healthy number of players. This morning when I looked it was over 30k. Just think it they were to make everything cross platform. I know some would be against that because controller vs keyboard mouse, but I've only ever played with a controller (even on steam). They have even made the game more controller friendly on Steam. People can do 360, moonwalk, etc very easily on PS4. I really think they should just go for it. Let everyone play with each other.
-
How about the next survivor has Hex Ruin 2: Bone Harder as a perk that brings back those red skill checks? Then you can enjoy them again all for yourself!
-
Game had over 30k this morning, over 60k this past weekend. But, yeah sure, players leaving... Whatever fits your narrative.
-
It's exactly the same. I've had Nurse's on Switch seem like they were straight from Steam. Also, I like there is no chat box period on consoles. I just make it so strangers can't message me.
-
It's not cheating, more of a rookie move.
-
Dead Hard is a joke. DS is what needs to be looked at again. If you are safely unhooked and the killer moved on, it shouldn't still be activated.
-
He really wanted you.

Angry and like can't be put in the same sentence like that.
Also being angry does not equal likening something, that just dosen't make sense
Further more, a company can make someone so angry that they rather leave or stay and trash on it because they want to show how much they hate the company or said game.
So it's not a good sign
As well with too much hate in the community against the devs is very bad and can turn south with one wrong word or saying
You're wrong. People don't get so angry about stuff they don't care about. The game makes them very passionate, so it's a good sign if it can evoke that kind of emotion. Some may just not express themselves in a mature/constructive manner, but they still care and/or like the game.
-
See you soon!
-
Yes. The only time I wouldn't recommend it was during the 5-6 months of pallet vacuum.
-
Well, believe it or not but it's actually a good sign people are this angry and alarmist about the game as it means they like it a lot.
-
Damn. Is this game on it's last legs again?
-
See you soon!
-
I know this may sound crazy, but I'm pretty sure they are dbd sided.
-
Doc was always op, just nobody played him.

Off-topic, but my friend and I really like your animations (we started watching at Taco-Man).
She won't stop singing the Hex song, now, though.

If you ever have time to play with us on Steam, we'd be honored :3
Aww, thank you! :D I'm back streaming again and I play with my viewers! You can always just hope in when the lobby is open. :D
