Yes, but most survivors at red rank can last more than five seconds.
Eh. I'm not that good a killer, but I only got to rank 5 on the backs of potato red ranks that I assumed were green or yellow.
-
I know right. They buffed Wraith. Trapper's turn is long overdue.
-
I've never lost as Pig, Ghostface, or Twins! My secret? I never played them.
-
Can there even be a perfect mmr for this game? Maps and RNG can heavily affect how well I do against a team.

There's no such thing as tunneling
-
Huntress's base speed should be 115. Every bush or rock is practically an infinite against her.
-
Entitled survivors are ones that expect the killer to hold their hand and ignore bad plays. A survivor went and called me a terrible killer because I tunneled the weak link and that I should learn to play better.
This is the only game I've seen where one side actually expects the other to be a complete doormat. I am thoroughly convinced that many just want to farm or do m1 simulator instead of play the game.

Elodie? That's a weird way of saying Jane.

Alright, alright. I won’t try to force my opinion onto you. Now, I shall go and buy an $800 gaming laptop and buy DbD on there, grind my way back to level 700 and take full advantage of that sweet, succulent stretched resolution that me and my console brethren couldn’t even grasp no matter how bad we wanted it :)
Sheesh. Cross-progression still isn't out? I can't imagine taking such a leap.

It's more than juvenile. It's accurate.
You started an argument for no reason whatsoever. You know how it works, so why continue this? I think that makes YOU the juvenile one here, not me.
Maybe you should give it a rest. There's have to be trolling.

Don't know why people are screaming exploits. The devs fixed j-flicks. Whatever's left is completely intended by them.
-
I didn't know Sluzzy had alt accounts. Next thing I know, 2+2 will equal 5.
-
Who doesn't want Huntress to step on them?

How dare you disable my flashlight, firecrackers, and flashbang perk! Wonder if itll prevent the stun from jills perk though...
It doesn't prevent the stun, sadly.

Guess it's time to hop back into smash bros
-
After constantly winning with Stridor Spirit, I gave Nurse a shot. A Survivor was mad I was trying to bait a grab during EGC.

I don't see the point of chat filters when you can just turn off chat itself. Not to mention if someone wants to get you tilted in chat, a censor isn't going to stop them.

Are you killer main or new at game
Killer main. I'd like to try and get better at survivor over time like I did with killer, but the twins are in the game. Victor freaks me out, so I always dc against them. And if I'm gonna dc whenever I go against a certain killer, I might as well just not play survivor.
-
Every killer. There's no counterplay because I'm a terrible survivor.
-
Today I learned that going against the other side in a pvp game is toxic and ruins their experience.

But Wraith's gameplay is hit and run.
Shhh. It's easier to say a killer has 0 skill than accept that not all killers chase the same and playing accordingly.

how the ######### does it take skill to look if the loop is safe or unsafe and just abandon the person and find another person out of position, and you are also agreeing that wraith has 0 chase interaction and 0 fun to go against.
Certainly takes more skill than overcomitting in chase while survivors do gens
-
I wish I got more TTVs. All I want to do is check the vod later to see how I did from their perspective. But they either didn't exist or weren't streaming.
-
But how will the less experienced survivors/killers get better if they don't get curbstomped by players who completely outclass them? /s
But seriously, matchmaking needs to be fixed. I guess survivors have it easier for deranking. I was already getting red rank survivors back when I was a yellow rank killer, so nothing would change if I tried the same.
-
Trickster's chapter since they fixed DS and buffed Wraith.
-
because muh bloodpoint economy or something
-
It is pretty easy to tunnel someone out of the game when survivors just unhook and disappear instead of protecting their teammates.
-
Glad to know being a wraith main makes me a homophobe for some reason. Did they explicitly say in chat that they "tunneled" you because of the charm?

I always have fun with Wraith. I never feel locked into a specific losing play with him? He has a built-in catch up when survivors make too much distance, he has a rudimentary Pig dash around short loops and windows, and most importantly, he's so fast that it's not too damning to say "yeah, this survivor is really pulling the moves on me, let's give up on them and find a different target." There isn't much down time in a Wraith game - you find people fast, especially because he doesn't give people enough advance warning to hide. Having a bong to bing is just the cherry on top of the sundae of fun.
I also have a lot of fun playing as Doc. (haha survivors go bzzzt)
Agreed. Really love his hit and run style. I'm still not used to how good he is. Most of my matches felt like the survivors were just throwing.
-
Wraith. Beginner friendly. 115 speed. His buffs are pretty great. Love his hit and run style and his speed is no joke.
-
I love doing the sabo challenges. There's no way I'm turning down a chance to get paid bloodpoints for sabotaging survivors, I mean, hooks.
-
On second thought, Freddy breaking breakable walls. It's like nails on a chalkboard.

Victor's screech

Guy’s, I found the professional camper! He said that camping, possibly the least fun and least engaging tactic in the game, is fun! Sitting on a hook for 2 minutes and looking at someone on a hook for 2 minutes is fun. Please god be a troll.
God no! Except for EGC, can't imagine doing it for 2 minutes! More like a couple seconds so they can hit struggle or die.
-
I'm guessing you got destroyed in a match. Not everyone's idea of fun is the same as yours. Tunneling and camping can be fun. Besides, as killer, I'm not playing with 4 other people, I'm playing against them.
Killers and survivors have to make their own fun. If trying to win in a pvp game is sweaty, maybe you should step away from pvp. I hear Stardew Valley's pretty good.
-
I just hook them. Makes the match easier.

For survivors, pipping up is pretty reliant on what your teammates do and what the killer does. Imagine a scenario where the killer gets two hooks, you don't unhook either of them, and then the third person the killer chases just loops them for days. Killer gets tunnel vision and doesn't break from them when they should, and gens fly. You now have limited options. Your altruism's going to be silver at best, probably bronze, and your evader is going to be bronze or null. Even with iri lightbringer and unbroken, you can't pip up in red ranks... unless you go and make things worse for your team by stealing the killer's attention and taking chase away from somebody who's clearly comfortable with the job. Or you can sandbag the looper and get them hooked so you can unhook and heal them for more altruism.
Or you can be a good teammate and not do any of these things, and you'll black pip. But do you see the problem? To pip up, the killer needs to behave a certain way - they need to switch up their targets and move away from the hook to allow heals, safe unhooks, and chases to happen, and they have to fall in a zone where they are neither too good nor too bad - so they don't sweep you all by the five minute mark and you can have good chases against them that earn you Evader emblems, but they have to be getting hooks and doing damage to the team so that everyone can get adequate Benevolent.
Meanwhile, you're guaranteed a depip if the killer camps or tunnels you out of the match within the first few minutes, if one or more of your teammates DCs/ragequits, if your teammates are stupid and get the killer an early snowball, if it's a tombstone Myers, if it's a basement Bubba... really, any facecamping killer ensures the rest of the team can't get points just by blocking off a quarter of the emblem system. If the killer is AFK, you can safety pip, but only by going up to them and sitting next to them for a minute. You're also unlikely to pip up if the killer is Plague because your only source of Benevolent points can come from unhooks you perform yourself, or picking slugs up off the ground - no passive team heal.
I just got rank 1 as a solo survivor for the first time yesterday, and I'd been rank 2 for two whole weeks. Most games I black pipped, but for every pip up I'd manage, there was another game where I would depip due to factors usually outside my control. One choice example was getting bronze-silver-iri-bronze and 8/9 points to safety pip... because the Claudette I ran to unhook killed herself while I was coming to her despite me having a clear shot, the killer being occupied with the other remaining survivor, and the gates being powered. Her first stage hook suicide pushed me just below the threshold of silver benevolent. Then it turns out she only had 2000 points and didn't do anything all game. Another day, I played 5 survivor games, and 4 of them had somebody kill themselves or DC within the first 2 minutes. One game I depipped because the killer wasn't very good and my teammates slammed gens instead of unhooking me, so even though I was eventually unhooked and escaped, there wasn't enough left to do in the match to pip up (because gens were mostly done and there weren't enough unhook situations for me to tend to.) Three times I got to rank 2 4 pips, and the first two times that happened, my next killers were a Judith's Tombstone Myers (with one teammate that fed him immediately) and a facecamping Bubba respectively. No universe in which I pip against either of those. Luckily the final time saw me get two black pip games and then a pip up, and now I don't have to care about survivor pips ever again.
I'm still really confused as to why pips are so important? Is rank really that big a deal?
-
I assume people main her because they find her fun to play as. As for Stridor, it must be nice to have a counter for such a strong and commonly used perk.

Tuesday. Not sure about the exact time though.

Flashlights are brought in almost all games it is the second most common item in the game beside a med kit. It might always be brought in, but it is still a counter.
Getting wallhacks is an huge advantage in chase. Let's say your at a rock loop on Macmillan, the survivor gets the pallet and you now use the bell around the rock the get a hit. The survivor runs away from the loop, and guess what, you get that knowledge with that addon, so you stop uncloaking, and follow.Without the addon you guess and make a 5050 read. That addon is so strong in many situations at loops.
I wouldn't even bother using the addon. Nurse's already gives me a ton of value when survivors constantly stop and heal through sloppy when they think they're safe.

I personally don't mind slugging, as long as it doesn't waste 30 minutes of my time. Like oh my holy goodness, just sacrifice me already, please... I literally beg you. 🥲😓
Felt so bad for a Nea I had to bleed out one time. The other survivors 99'd the gate and whenever I tried to hook Nea, they just sabo'd. I can't imagine what it's like to play survivor with teammates that actively try to screw you over.
-
Suddenly glad I haven't unlocked teachables for 9 or 10 killers. Can't imagine going through such a grind with every single one. Never also grinding survivors.
