I fear most guesses here could be wrong, according to game files it seems to be scheduled to start 19:00 UTC tomorrow.

Combat Straps on Pig are very desirable.Master said:such that on prestige 3 there is no common stuff at all anymore (I dont think there is any common thing that is desirable)
Not all rare stuff is great though and it‘ll make bloodwebs much more expensive if there is no common stuff at all.
Overall I would agree though that prestiging should be a bit more attractive without making it mandatory. -
I love playing Pig and IMHO she only needs a slightly faster base crouch speed (I mean the time it takes to crouch, not movement speed when crouched), adjust Combat Straps accordingly. No idea why she would need a complete rework. Just my opinion.

Well how do I know why other survivors burn offerings? If I leave the petals in peace and they just burned their offerings to help others and collect bps but can’t harvest themselves because they are maxed out, they get nothing.
I really wanted to level my Feng Min this event, like I levelled Kate during Summer BBQ. Looked at the rules and decided that this is not an event to level survivors, especially not in solo queue. I am pouring all my bloodpoints into killer and play killer almost exclusively. That way I always get a sweet bp bonus without relying on the agenda of the other players.
See, if my survivor vial is 2/3 full, unless others help me with the optional goal, I‘d get 0 bonus points out of the match. If my killer vial is 5/6, I can still get 3x bonus points. So why waste points on survivor? -

That sucks a lot. Since I play SWF as survivor most of the time (solo survivor is extremely boring for me) these kinds of people aren't a problem for me. I don't understand why these kinds of survivors can't just...play normally. Is it really that hard?As you play SWF, you're not quite as much screwed over as solo survivors.
I can never know whether survivors in my lobby other than myself will be harvesting or just not bother (I am on console, so there's no lobby chat to ask). If I bring an offering, there will be three flowers to harvest. One flower gives a bit more than 1/3. So, I can not harvest all three flowers all by myself, not even with an empty vial. This will give me only 8k bonus points despite the offerings. To get the full 12k, someone else must harvest the rest of the last flower.
If noone does, I'm out of luck. And as the event progresses, fewer and fewer will do it because they have all their vials full. Or they simply don't care or don't know that much about the event. As SWF, you can coordinate it so that you get maximum bloodpoints as a group.
When my vial is 2/3 or more filled after a match, it doesn't even make sense to bring an offering for the next match at all because if I'm unlucky and noone but me harvests, I won't get any bonus bloodpoints at all. As I can get only a tiny fraction of nectar in that game and no bonus bloodpoints possible whatsoever so just a "normal" score as if there was no event, I find it hard to encourage myself to stay in the game after achieving my goal 15 seconds into the match.
I love these events because they usually motivate me to play mostly survivor (I almost never to outside events, because matchmaking loves to give me the frustrating teammates most of the time) because you could make a lot of bloodpoints from a match every time. On lunar and summer events, I brought offerings every single game. This one is sadly different. As I said above, it does not even make sense to do so this event as solo survivor.
Not to mention that apparently, SWF harvesting a flower together coordinated can get more nectar from it, so they can grind towards their goal faster, and harvesting together is faster than alone, so they don't lose as much time in the beginning of the match than a bunch of solo survivors. SWF is clearly favored in this event.
So my motivation to play solo seriously is ... not very high.

Bullying noobs for either side should be a big no no I agree with the banWanting to play at lower ranks doesn't automatically mean bullying. The pipping system for survivor is so screwed up that it's easy to end up at a rank where it's absolutely impossible to enjoy the game.
Was watching a small streamer, plays DbD only occasionally, she's nevertheless rank 1. She played at rank 1 for 5 1/4 hours and escaped only twice during that time, once vs a meme Leatherface insidious-guarding his basement chest. Multiple times the killers had 4ks even before hatch was unlocked. Towards the end the only reason she kept playing despite being deeply frustrated was because she was hoping for one good match to finish off which never came. Despite playing hopelessly unsuccessful at rank 1, she didn't drop in rank either and when she dropped to 2, she was back at 1 the next game despite having a bad game.
I hate playing at higher ranks as well, mainly because the fellow survivors you get in solo queue are on the same skill level of those you get on rank 15 (red ranks didn't change anything), but the killers get better and better and fully perked out and totally tryhard I can't easily 1 vs 1 them anymore (which is necessary considering my teammates are mostly more of a burden than help). Moreover, almost every single game 3rd person got slugged to deny the 4th the hatch. Makes the last four minutes of the game terribly boring.
I am managing my own rank by simply playing at most one survivor game per day, and many days I don't play at all. Last season I managed to never get higher than 11. I would rather like to play more and not be forced into simply playing only one game every couple of days.

You're using the same monitor? TV (if that's what you're using) is in game mode?
I've had delayed skill checks on PS4 when I started out, but since I have connected it to a proper monitor, I can hit all but a few of those Ruin checks great, and Overcharge is also not a problem anymore.

Calm Spirit, Doc ...DocOctober said:Just because YOU can't find it since you can't decode stuff, doesn't mean it doesn't exist. Everything's on the Wiki.
You people go on my nerves. I spent 2.5 hours last night compiling all the information together into a clean, proper Wiki Article and you ingrates just keep on bitching about where I got the information from.
If you parse my previous post correctly, I have read through the game files (just have to rely on what's uploaded by someone to Github, cannot decode myself because it's tough to access anything on console). And, I recognize the vast majority of information as properly taken from the files, so in case someone doubts I do absolutely vouch for it being taken from the game itself. You have really done a good job with that, thanks for your time.
My only single point was, I just went through the entire changelog and could not see any hint that the cosmetics of the Haunted Blight collection could be grinded for during the event "for free". And comparing the previous event rewards such as the black Huntress mask or Kate's shirt to the HB cosmetics that look more awesome to me than some of the current "high end" stuff that is only available for purchase with auric cells, I was wondering where this information came from that for this event there would be a "grind and get for free even without needing any shards" set of premium outfits.
It would be awesome if that was the case, I just don't want to be disappointed. And as I know the community, some would get out their virtual pitchforks and call the devs liars if the event reward is something different even though there's no official word at all so far ...-- NORMAL -- -

I put tons of my spare time voluntarily into keeping the Wiki up-to-date and accurate.
And where does the information come from that the cosmetics are the rewards? I have looked through the game files myself (at least what can be found on the web, I can't decode it myself) and while the majority of the wiki information can be found in there, I see no connection between the cosmetics and event rewards.
I'm just a bit suspicious because considering what was given as rewards in previous events and looking at the quality of the Hallow Blight cosmetics, this would be ... well ... the devs being more generous than ever before would be an understatement.

If I go on DbD in the main menu, press Option and select Update History, it lists only the same fix for the clown cosmetic that Steam got recently.

I think the tooltip is still wrong in some translations, at least I'm fairly sure they did not yet adjust the German translation. The last time I checked it was still not updated in German. I think that the translation for the new Dark Sense is also still the "misleading wording" version that was on the PTB, not the one that clarified that you have to finish the generator to see the aura of the killer.

More frustrating are definitely survivor games for me. I'm at rank 6 and it seems there's still noone who knows how to play against hag, when Ruin is on I'm the only one working on gens, with Huntress Lullaby two tokens are enough and folks miss virtually every skill checks. Chases last only seconds, etc. I'm sometimes the best killer time waster in the match even though I'm far from good at chases. Killers 4k all the time, maybe every couple of games I get the hatch despite my teammates, and when I load this forum or Reddit then all I read is "totally imbalanced, survivors OP, nerf into the ground".
As killer I have no ambitions, I just want to have fun chasing and hooking people. I know I'm not the most talented player, nor will I ever be, so I think it's normal that some groups will crush me ever now and then, simply because there are better players than me out there.
As survivor it's really hard to accept a loss when the killer wasn't really that good and it's not me who screwed up but others who DC/don't do gens/don't make hook saves or attempt them while being chased by the killer/go down in seconds one after the other, all that.

On PS4 trophies did only unlock if you owned the DLC, at least I think so because I never got any from DLCs I don’t own (doubt they were all bugged). So the number is probably low because only those people counted who completed it and had bought the DLC. This has apparently changed with the 2.0 update, because I recently got a trophy of a DLC I don‘t have.
-
You actually can make it, months ago I went the same route from playing survivor exclusively to about 99% killer currently with the goal to fair play, and I'm still doing it that way and enjoying it. Sure there are some groups that try their best to ruin your day, but then I just have to try a single match as survivor and I'm happily back to playing killer.
-
When I'm playing solo survivor, it's currently 2/10 the vast majority of the time. As killer I'd say 8/10, but then I never bought this game to play as killer and for a long time didn't at all, so 8 is probably as enjoyable as it could get in that role.
-
I likely won’t buy the DLC right away. Not because I am upset about the delay (just severely disappointed by the devs), but because it‘s now out for awhile already, we‘ve seen so much gameplay on Twitch that it feels quite old already, I don’t feel hyped any longer, and waited so long that I can now just continue waiting until it goes on sale for the first time.
Will definitely get some cosmetics from the store though. I have had so many hours of fun with the game that they have deserved some money from me, despite that update disaster. -

They planned for this? Highly doubt it. They announced 4 days before the clown release that consoles would get it later. No, they already said in Reddit Q&A from May 14 that the certification process would be slower because it's a big update and consoles would very likely get it later.

I‘d prefer we‘d just stop nerfing perks just because a perk is better than others and picked more often, unless there’s an actual problem. As survivor I have as little problems with killers running BBQ as I have as killer when survivors have self care.
As for that BBQ Billy ... mainly a problem on Cornfield maps and even the I prefer it to Doc on Game. I played four times BBQ Billy yesterday and got sent three times to Lerys and the 4th time to Haddonfield. Not really any threat to survivors. -
There‘s a pinned post „Communication Roadmap“. For this week it says:
June 28th - Live on Twitch
Play with the devs
-
I never use exhaustion perks so I don't really have an opinion on exhaustion. DS change is totally fine with me, also from a killer point of view much better than the previous suggestion.
As a solo survivor who can't just easily ask my SWF buddies where they are, I find the Self Care changes too drastic, though. It should rather regress continuously than be gone instantly. My main concern is with aura exposure, like BBQ&C, esp. with Billy/Nurse ... if such a killer hooks someone while I'm healing I just have to react and move. Then if I was almost finished all progress is gone and I have to start from scratch and if I'm unlucky the same thing repeats just as I'm healing up again next time. I thought they wanted to buff solo survivors a bit, but with the SC change that seems to be definitely off the table.
Bond to find others is not really an option for me as I personally prefer Empathy, and both combined would be a bit too much. I run it occasionally in some builds, but I'm not the big Bond fan somehow no matter how many people say it's the better perk, and wouldn't like to have to use it as a mandatory perk.

I've posted a similar suggestion in the weekly Reddit Q&A a while back.
Response was: "We have all the reports from it but we need a way to reward the player in-game, which we aren't ready for just yet.
Good behaviour and sportsmanship are something we want to improve and reward in some ways in the future!
In our announcement http://www.deadbydaylight.com/posts/2018/this-is-only-the-beginning/ we stated we wanted better tools to handle toxicity and that would be part of it." -
My opinion: I'm glad that the Victory Cube with its kill focus is history. Introducing an incentive for killers to try hard for 4k each and every time to get ultra rare stuff ... nah. I'm not really kill focused, I'm happy if I get my four Barbecue stacks and every kill is just a bonus then. I could imagine I would be kind of frustrated if I'd miss out on add-on rewards because of my playstyle while everyone else is slugging for the 4k.

There should be another to open the hatch afterwards... I mean i've been playing for 1000 hours and I NEVER been able to do a gen alone in the game.I have. Low-rank game right after rank reset with three rather new teammates ... killer was hag and had Ruin. Soon as the three noticed Ruin was on they DCed. I had just gone through a number of such bad games and didn't want to lose another pip. So I cleansed the Ruin totem and did two gens all alone. The hag had Insidious and at that time 100% regression on damaged gens was already a thing which didn't help at all. What did help me though was Urban Evasion ... Problem is, the totem + two gens took me almost an hour overall, it was kind of thrilling for me to evade the killer (though not for the killer, he was raging afterwards), but I wouldn't want every game to last 1 1/2 hours because of hatch game.
This is my main concern with the hatch change, that endgames will drag out forever. Unfortunately I'm not on PC and can't play PTB, so no 1st hand experience. But, I imagine even finding a closed hatch that makes no whoosh sound anymore can take a significant amount of time already (you have to avoid the killer after all ...). Sometimes I have to look very close even if I hear it's near. Noone will work on a gen until he knows where the hatch is, so the game could get really boring for the killer as it might be 10-15 minutes until the last survivor starts working on a gen again ... unless he has Whispers.
Even if i can do one the killer would have to just go and close it again... Just remove the hatch at this point... Why having a way to get out as the last survivor if it's almost impossible to get.
Was kind of my thought as well. Just as there are situations where the killer has deserved to let the last survivor not escape that easily, there are also such where a good survivor has been totally screwed over by his team which he had no control over (at least in solo queue). A fair hatch game would probably have 50/50 chances and should be designed to be over rather quickly and not drag out the game for too long.
I won't be complaining though, if the change goes through to live, I'll probably go from solo survivor to full 4SWF, if I have full control over my team and I know everyone is about my skill level, not making any stupid plays, and always doing his best then I can probably accept that the hatch is in favor of the killer.

here, an official quote of a game dev.Ah, thanks. It's still a strange attitude because I lose interest in a game if I'm not challenged, which is exactly what happened in DbD. It wasn't challenging anymore, and I just didn't not find it worth my time any longer to do so given that I get thrown back to the low ranks on next reset anyway. That's why I would rather expect a rank system to quickly throw me up to a place where I can be challenged and then go slower as I get nearer to the point where I belong.
Got to say I'm not able to play as much as I'd like to also, so even if it's (obviously) possible to pip up from the lowest ranks, it would take me most of the season to do so. It's a real pain down there with people disconnecting left and right, a simple hag just needs a single hook and the clown fiesta is on, you get it.
New survivor perks look cool though so when the update drops I may try the survivor side again.

About the first issue :
If no one gets hit/hooked, devs consider that you outskill the killer enough not to deserve a pip, and will suffice a safety.I read that everywhere, can you give an official source/quote for that or is that "wishful thinking"?
The problem is ... try your luck as experienced survivor on rank 20. Towards the end of the season I had lobby wait times of 5-10 minutes and when I finally had a killer he was often so bad that I didn't even have to juke. I remember a wraith from whom I ran in a straight line and who was still whiffing every single attack because he always did "quick" attacks from lunge range.
Given that moderately skilled killers pip up more easily than before, it seems absurd to ask 1000+ hours survivors sitting at rank 20 to get challenged by those killers who can't launch off R20.
And no I'm not gonna bully an outplayed killer intentionally just to get a pip. Or was that the intend of the devs as well?
