it's very easy to get 3-4k with facecamp bubba even content creators like otz have shown it, run a combination of corrupt-deadlock-pain res-merciless storm- no way out-noed and you'll get 2k minimum if you have half a brain, against solo Q most likely 3-4k
it's by far the worst thing in this game it should be nerfed to oblivion, even tunneling is super fun compared to dying on first hook to a bubba, it will be nerfed end of story, trying to defend it is actually dumb
I said without corrupt and deadlock or other heavy slowdown.

Imo you really need to play both roles to have anything close to a well-adjusted mindset in this game. I'm split 70/30 between killer and surv, and whenever I play survivor, I can empathize when a killer feels the need to tunnel/camp after losing 4 gens in the first chase. I also get pissed off when a teammate (especially if we're on comms) decides to start bagging at the exit gate; especially if the killer went out of their way to not camp or tunnel.
I can also empathize with solo survivors who get bricks as their teammates, or even brand new baby survivors who got screwed over by MMR who play super immersed, just trying their hardest to do something useful.
Honestly, if you lack context in either role, you'll probably hold a lot of bias and view the opposite side as spoiled, entitled, and toxic for anything they do.
Well said

I wonβt buy this chapter until they fix this overpowered killer.
https://youtu.be/q6CEMRwLfoQ?feature=shared
It is funny that they nerfed circle of healing (so not heals), they nerfed prove thyself (so no gen pressure), they nerfed decisive strike (so tunneling down is less punishing), they nerfed Med kits (so no self heal if your teammates are busy or dying), but they allow this killer to have so much power that even the treat of using his power is enough to make survivors stuck in a loop waiting for their imminent death.
great job devs! Keep going with this terrible work!
One sided much...

it's so efficient to camp that 90% of every game I'm in the killer camps and soloq has a much harder time dealing with it. just admit you enjoy the camping life and quit pretending to be objective.
I dislike you gaslighting me. Please stop. Do I camp when I play killer? Yes, sometimes I do. Why do I do it?
Because survivors force me into situations, where I can barely do anything else. That is mostly one thing: my first down got delayed so long that 3 gens pop. (I main pig).
Normally I dislike camping, because it's boring and I play the game to enjoy m1 killer chases. Mindgames are what makes this game fun for me.
Camping is not as efficient as you claim it to be. Try a round of bubba and camp the first guy you hook without heavy slowdown like corrupt or deadlock and tell me how often you get your easy 4k. Most of the time survivors are smart enough to just slam out gens and leave. Yes one survivor will die for the team but that's how it is.
I at least hope that survivors are smart enough.
-
Because strong survivor groups rarely heal. When they do, it's most of the time too fast to get value. The killer I would recommend nurses calling on is Ghostface.

Well Pig has some deadly combo of add-ons (almost garantee at least 1K on some maps), but in the end, her crouch power is the worst "anti-loop" ever since survivors will just leave the loop and it doesn't work on every loop. She is just basic Killer with slowdown power (that is good) but you need to catch them first. Againts good Survivors, you will most likely get destroyed.
Plague is good but again, without some great add-ons, good Survivors will make you basic M1 Killer and can loop you to oblivion. With apple add-ons and other stuff she can be more deadly of course.
I have 2000h on pig in the pocket. We are talking about the only killer that can kill survivors passively and has the strongest slowdown in the game as of now. Nothing comes close. I've had games, where survivors delayed me in chase due to predropping pallets so that they finished 4 gens for my first down. I still 12 hooked them because all pallets where gone and my traps did their work.
Some of the rng is also extremely oppressive. 1-3-4-4 is almost a guaranteed head pop if played right.
Yes, her ambush is not good. But you would be surprised at which tiles a good moondash can hit survivors where other killers would wish to get a hit (parking lot of garden of joy is my personal favorite).
Don't underestimate piggy.

Would you say that a nerf for Pig would be in place?
I do think that her strongest addon combination is actually pretty busted. And I say that with 2000h on her alone. We are talking about a killer that can kill survivors passively. If it was possible to buff her Stealth and ambush I think the perfect nerf would be that you can't die when you are on a jigsaw box. This seems like a very small nerf but believe me it would make a huge difference.
-
Very strong perk if used by a competent swf team.
Relatively weak perk if used by uncoordinated soloq team.
Sadly that can be said about most perks.
-
Pig is way stronger than you think. Actually stronger than most players think.
I would also put Plague a lot higher. Her addons are pretty insane on top of the no healing basekit.

Almost all the killers I went against today ran NOED. I'd rather just make sure that won't be a problem for me than regret it later
Then you do that. Everyone can play how they want.
I feel for you having that many noed though. Hope it gets better.

You are just arguing with people who want to facecamp every game. They will come up with any excuse they can to exploit to win, so why bother wasting time arguing with them? It's unfortunately a fundamental flaw in the design of the game. I doubt BHVR will do any significant change to stop it and promote better gameplay loops. They only like making small tweaks here and there usually. Best bet is just to play a different game.
That's bait my friend but I'll bite.
First : true facecamping doesn't exist. YOU CAN UNHOOK THE SURVIVOR. Facecamping made it impossible to unhook the survivor.
Second : camping is sometimes the necessary evil against survivors that become too efficient for the killer to handle.

I am not demanding killer mains to play nice. I am asking for the developers to take away tactics that are clearly broken and were not intended.
Camping was intended when the game was designed. It's also not broken in any way or form. The only exception are basement/lockdown Trapper, basement hag and a bubba with a tent ready at hand. If you truly think that camping is the "solve all" solution for all the killers problems, I really want you to play killer and try it yourself. If you as the survivor are on the hook until you die, it's not the fault of the game and not of the killer. It's the fault of the team that they didn't handle the situation well enough.
-
The mechanic is supposed to be effective against face camping, not camping as a whole. You can't delete camping completely in any form. Only disincentivise it. Proxy camping is what keeps most of the weaker killers in the ring. This is a situation, the survivors have to handle well in a group. If handled incorrectly the killer can snowball.
We don't want to make it survivors too easy do we?
-
I love playing Hag and Twins. I contrast to most people's opinion, I find then very unique and fun to play. Unfun to play against though. Tricksters gameplay is a bit boring to me. Reloading and shredding survivors to the ground while losing gens across map isn't my type of gameplay. I also enjoy a round of Freddy of I want to torture myself from time to time. He's one of the purest m1 killers you can play right now. Skull merchant is just a no. Sorry.
Freddy should probably be reverted to his pre rework state with fun additions and changes. Skull merchant needs a full rework. Twins just need better cosmetics, a punishment for holding Victor hostage and the possibility to instantly change to Charlotte after the down OR endure the 7 second cooldown and not change to Charlotte. Hag is fine in my opinion, her playstyle just isn't for everyone. Trickster is would say the same as hag.

Performance anxiety maybe? Jealousy?
I honestly don't know. I don't dodge p100 survivors as killer. I usually never dodge lobbies in general.
The only exception are sometimes streamers because I don't like to be someone's content or entertainment.
-
I honestly don't see this perk anywhere near problematic. Blindness isn't very strong and knowing the location of survivors is something that other perks do better in my opinion. Yes Bbq and the like have better counters like distortion or otr but still. I prefer Bbq or floods over this one. For ultimate weapon to activate, you need to open a locker. Believe it or not but that takes me out of the game flow. That why I also don't kick gens when I can chase a survivor instead. Also, I honestly know where survivors are already most of the time. I learned that by playing Pig with Stbfl only for like 20 games in a row. How do you know where survivors are? Two options : right in your face or at gens. There is rarely any exception. The only killers I could see this perk being very strong on are Pinhead and Pig to interrupt the Lament configuration or Jigsaw boxes. With the exception of nurse and blight but..... like...... you know the drill.....
Again. I dont know why this perk is seemed as problematic.

Are you really being challenged if you swing the odds into your favor? A challenge is going in with a random (or at least non meta) build and nothing more and trying to escape. Bringing everything you can to make the game as easy as possible isn't being challenged.
Agree. That's why I normally killers on the weaker end with brown addons and a good but not optimal build.

I hope not. There are a few other things that would still rub me the wrong way.
You don't know, if a survivor has MFT until it's too late and staying injured with MFT and Resilience is pretty much no threat at all against the average M1 killer. Just yesterday I had a survivor that got a fast vault while they were slowed by a dream snare because of MFT. This is not ok. The weaker the killer is, the more they get punished by this perk. Shouldn't it be the other way around?
I think MFT would be fine, if there was an indicator that it's in play (this stupid gaslighting has to stop) and if the survivor had to do something to obtain it. But as it is, the survivor is rewarded for getting outplayed / playing bad. It's a lot like NOED, just worse. Because NOED is only active for a short period of time and can be dealt with.
Fast vaulting after dream snare?
Darn

only with hope
or its 4.14 i dont remember right
You disregard every situation, this perk gives you value. Some killer powers are based on precise execution. Demos shred for example. On some tiles, there are only seconds in which you are in a position to hit a survivor. But with made for this, the survivor makes it around the corner, making the power not only useless to use but a big time waster to even try.
This perk also saves you time when you run around the map injured because you reach objectives faster.
There is a lot more I could mention.
You have to look at the whole picture not just the obvious things.

bro its only 4.12 and its not rly saves that much its only saves if you vs a killer who miss their lunge attacks
No, it gives you a lot more.
-
Ok.....
I try to keep it short and simple because this perk has been discussed a lot here.
1) made for this is hurting the weaker m1 based killers more than the stronger killers. This is very bad for a number of reasons and NOT a skill issue. You can't make a killer start flying. PIGS DON'T FLY.
2) End game is still part of the game. Finishing the gens should not mean, that the survivors just win by default. Most killers already have a terrible early game. Now you want them to lose the end game as well? When is the killer supposed to have a game then?
3) Made for this offers two effects that are strong enough to be separate perks entirely. This is overtuned.
4) you can definitely nerf the haste effect to 0.5, 1, 1.5 % but I think that would do next to nothing, so I would just replace the effect with an action speed bonus on other things like vaulting, chest opening or totem cleansing.
This perk is discussed for a reason. And it's not a skill issue.
-
Thanks for posting.

See, that's simply not reasonable.
The Endurance doesn't match up with the perk and is likely giving it a lot of unnecessary value.
I do think that the haste effect is more damaging to the game than the endurance effect is but I agree that the endurance part fits the thematic of the Perk less.
-

Because all of these killers need to charge their powers to use. And while they are charging power, they are losing speed. And all of them have very clear animations about they are gonna use m2 attack.
Xeno's power is always ready to use, he is chasing with 4.6. So he is not losing speed like other killers for charge the power. He can use his power anytime he want, he does not need to hold it like other killers. And you can't tell if he is going to m1 you or m2, he does not give you clear information.
But you can disable Xenomorphs power. This is not possible with the other killers.
-
You wanna know what's the best way of increasing your grade: having fun.
I never care about my emblems and I mostly have 4 iridescent badges. If you try to much, it often happens that your performance suffers a lot.
Some killers are really awful in scoring though (cough Hillbilly cough)
-
Xeno has the build in counter mechanic in form of the turrets. Slinger can always use his power.
But while we are at it: can we revert pigs terror radius? Wesker is 4.6 and has a bigger radius than 32 and sadako also moves at 4.6 and has a smaller terror radius. See? Lots of weird stuff around. Honestly: I don't care about pigs terror radius.

My name is Richard also known as The JollyStrangler, and I am the newest member of the Community Coordination team!
A little bit about myself: I am a Canadian born dork who has been playing videogames since my hands could fit around a controller. I play a large variety of games! If the game has pixel art graphics, I'm usually all over it. At the time of writing this, I am about halfway through the incredible Chronotrigger-inspired, Sea of Stars.
I consider myself a Killer main. Right now my top three killers are The Cenobite, Bing Bong, and The Clown. I play as a survivor as much as I can to learn how to be a better killer and when the bloodpoint bonus is in their favour.π
My main role on the forum will be to help make the forum easier to navigate, prettier and more user friendly. As well as try to increase engagement on the forum. These engagement efforts will not distract from the subject of DbD. I do not have any major changes or engagement efforts to announces today, but please keep posted as I will always post about major changes as they happen on the forum.
The first thing I have added to the forum is the missing survivor and killer avatars into the avatar pool! There are some licensed characters that we will not be adding to the list, otherwise the majority of the characters are there!
I have also added a frequently requested avatar!

I like the game like I alway have. Some things are frustrating for sure, but that doesn't take away all the awesome things the game has to offer. I love playing pig, demo and now Xeno.
Playing m1 killer is fun to me. Made for this by itself rarely makes me outright lose games.
I cant say much about survivor though. I rarely play the role but when I do, it's usually a fun and wild ride. Looking forward to play Ripley.

I think finding your own fun is very important in dbd.
I would prefer any other way because I dislike the constant hostility and negativity.
-
I do agree with you. It's not hard to be kind. But I find it hard to please anybody in this game to he honest. Some players are offended by the smallest things like: gens go fast, meme builds or meme addons. Even when you as killer outplay the survivor, this can be their breaking point to he nasty to you.
A positive and negative report system would be an idea maybe but how it stands, it would probably only get abused for malicious purposes

Singularity doesnt seems important for bhvr right now, alien is.
Sadako is worse now in my opinion. Maybe not strength wise, but definitely in terms of playing and playing against. I hope hux will not get this treatment anytime soon.
Singularity has the ungodly combination of being hard to play and having to be played well to do well. That makes him not played much in comparison to other killers that are more straightforward. Hillbilly has a similar issue.

Eh if you're not working the main objective for the entire match you're working with the killer IMO. No one is talking about a sweaty Nurse/Blight vs a 4 man. Solo q has always been harder but 2 years ago it wasn't pointless to play.
That's a bit exaggerating dont you think?
If someone if not on gens 24/7 they are not working with the killer. Survivors doing a clutch flashlight rescue. Sabo safe or take a hit for a survivor being chased do the exact opposite. What you seem to want is the most comp oriented and least fun version in dbd with not much interaction at all. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
I honestly haven't changed my playstyle as killer much in the last 3 years, still going for as many hooks as possible. From my perspective and what I've seen in my soloq matches, survivors stick more to gens than ever before.
You could actually compare that to tunneling. Both sides are not convinced enough, they can win without playing this way.
-
@Archol123 said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3536158#Comment_3536158
I guess it gives some sort of negative reinforcement to the killer to not play like that because he cannot win that way... So at least something, but yes the match itself will still be unfun, but less bad I hope... Question is only how many solo queue survivors will go through that struggle of getting camped to help 3 guys out but still die on hook... Maybe just to spite the killer?
Im gonna look how the mechanic looks like and how it will work out in regular matches. I'm all for spreading hooks but I do know that camping can sometimes be the necessary evil to punish too much survivor efficiency.
-
From what I can see, the camping solution will not make matches more fun. That's not possible. The killer would have to be a bot for this to happen. Players play how they want to play. If the killer wants to camp, they will camp. Even when 50 people shout at him for doing it and the game even punishes them.
The solution will make the game more fair for soloq survivors because a good swf usually has no problems with a camping killer.
If you find out the survivor is hooked and camped, you can just spread out and rush gens. The survivor unhooks themselves, gets tunneled and hooked again. If the survivor is halfway decent or has the right perks / map to back them up, gens should have progressed pretty far.
The game will still be boring because most survivors haven't been in chases and one survivor will probably die. But the other 3 have a decent chance at getting out at least. If this is all they care about.
-
@GaunterODimmDBD said:
It's impressive how much I scratched my head on Solo Q it wasn't this bad Two years ago. The healing nerf and Dead hard mori really showed how much Survivor in general don't know ######### they're doing when they don't have the allowance to heal theirselves all the time and don't have the peace of mind to dead hard into a pallet if they got caught in a bad situation. Also the increase of unsafe pallets.
It's so blatant how much you can see Survivors throwing the match entirely when they do totems or heal instead of pumping generators at an important point in the match. GG
Players can play how they want. If the totem is more important than the escape, let it be so.
In dbd, the most sweaty player wins most matches. Whether that's a comp blight/ nurse or a 4man swf.
Solo has it harder, that's how it is and how it has always been.
