Yes. Getting hard tunneled almost every match and proxy camped is definitely relaxing.
Sitting on a Gen is relaxing.

Kill rates will have word with you because the last time they shared, it was on killer-side.
Im still the one that is the most stressed I my lobbies. I'm asking survivors how the match went most of the time. Most of them say, if they respond, that they had a chill experience. I dont lose these games. But that does not make my games less stressful.

That’s cool and I get it sometimes shaking up things can be really fun too. Also taking small breaks helps out too.
It really does. Dbd can become pretty frustrating at times. Taking a break can really help. I just feel the aspect that you have to take a break of a game to enjoy it is a problem in itself.
Games should be fun.

And when killer is getting fast downs and pressure on survivors, same thing will happen you as survivors.
It's nature of gameplay. Losing side will be stresfull, not the winner side.
Then im very often the losing side.
And survivor seems to be very often the winning side.
-
No?
Haven't been playing for 2 weeks due to vacation and had 8 games today. 5 losses and 3 wins. Still had a blast in all of them. I tried the nerfed Xeno and after 2 matches I got started to rub of the rust and started to hit the tail more frequently.
Figuring out new things or finding new strategies or builds makes dbd very much not boring, to me at least.

That would be very true, if it wasn't to just 4 people being a plaything for 1 player. Camp/tunnel/camp/tunnel/4 slug/single match where everyone dead at 5 gens/rinse/repeat.
I'm not paid to entertain one sweaty player, I just want to play (exaggeration on "play", not even survive) after work. I'm spending more time in lobby than in match. I can't take survivors as killer because I understand how hard it is, letting go them often.
Back to the topic, today, every single match someone DCs or suicide. Every. And the most troubling thing is that I cannot blame them at all.
I feel like the killer is more often the plaything of the survivors.
-
It happens. Very rarely but well... You can farm points? Practice?

No? Please tell me why not.

How you can chill when killer is tunnelling you or one of the your teammates?
Or when garbage matchmaking teams you with very bad teammates.
I just can't see how people are chilling as solo survivor.
Actually a lot of people are very chill as survivor. They put music over their gameplay, drink something while sitting on a Gen or even read something on the side.
SoloQ is mostly very difficult. That's nothing new. But tell me: when you sit on a Gen and the killer chases someone for a good amount of time. Are you stressed while sitting on the Gen? I'm not.
But I know who's stressed. The killer.

no. the turrets are there to make power worse. if survivor complains a lot about xeno, they buff turrets. if they love xeno, the turrets stay weaker. tail attack has long cooldown and big m/s decrease to keep turrets strong.
Ok?
So the killer is the survivors plaything?
-
Killer is not meant for having that much fun in terms of playing a chill game. It's a stress and time management simulator.
Therefore survivor is actually the calmer role to play.
Funnily enough, the role of the victim of more chill that the "power" role of the murderous fiend.
-
@BlueRose said:
I like your idea tbh! But survivors will ofc hate bc ever since Hux came out they what emp level of tools to deal with killers' power. I think emps was a mistake bc now every survivor feels like they need some tool to give them an advantage against the killer or even have a way to remove the killer's power altogether.
I thought the turrets where more of a secondary objective for Xeno to buy more time. That's what I think BHVR is trying to achieve with all this extra survi or stuff recently. But it all backfires because it makes the killers balancing difficult.

No, yeah, I'm sure her stats point to her being strong, but that's because she's really good against solo q and any swf with a blow average skill level. A majority of players. Against them, spamming tp is braindead yet effective. There's a reason condemn builds were not fun to go against or engaging to play with, at least for me, and now that they've made that her power, she's just not fun for me.
However, she's weak against swfs/competent players, still an unignorable portion of the player base. At least with old Sadako, if you didn't care about condemn, you didn't really care as much of you went against a swf or not. There wasn't a whole lot more they could to than a soloq team could. They could be smarter with taking tapes, but that wasn't doing a whole lot, especially compared to now. Going against a swf is usually harder because they're coordinated and have comms, but that's a general thing not unique to old Sadako.
TDLR: She's stronger against the general player base, but a whole lot weaker against swfs and more skilled players, which wasn't a problem with old Sadako
That's killers with side objectives in general. I just want to mention Pinhead and Pig here, who are always performing really well according to bhvr statistics.
-
I think old coldwind actually felt immersive. Could be just me though.

It just shows nobody wanted him to be fixed. Everyone was so happy with their new op toy.
Xeno did not even change like you said, he is still same killer.
They where not op. Please reconsider what you call op.
Xeno was strong in general and maybe too strong for your average casual public survivor group.
-
I think I will enjoy Xeno despite the nerf. I find the tunnels extremely satisfying to use.
-
@KaTo1337 said:
I already have stopped playing him and went back to Nurse, Blight, Wesker, Oni and... Pig, which, in my opinion, is strong because the build-in slowdown is soooooo much better than any gen-regression-perk 😅
Another Boop enthusiast is born. Welcome 🐽
-
Nurse has a low kill rate because players hop on her and think she's the best.
While she is the best playing her well needs more understanding of the game rather than her.
Survivor pathing and Mindgames are the core mechanics necessary to be good at nurse. Mechanically it's the same as pinhead. Not really that hard if you play it for more than 3 matches.
I main Pig. A killer that teaches you a lot about survivor pathing and Mindgames. I also like to play pinhead in my regular rotation. Therefore nurse was not that hard for me to pick up.
Nurse also has a low official kill rate because she is notoriously hard to play on console. BHVR stats include console players as well.
Sadako is definitely not hard to play. But you would be baffled to what a real comp team would play like.
She's good, but not THAT good.
-
Bubba will remain the best camper in the game.
He will just be standing a bit further away. That's also the best way of effectively playing basement Bubba from what I've seen.
Sadly this also makes Chestdefender Bubba severely more difficult.
-
Xeno has definitely changed from what I've heard.
Nobody's perfect. People will miss attacks.
Still A tier but probably rather bottom A now.
Also, regarding the "if you make mistakes, you are supposed to be punished" part. Why do so many perks on survivor right now get rewarded for mistakes?

Exactly this, spam tp as much as you can every 10 seconds, hit an m1 here and there and you're guaranteed to win most games in automatic mode, if you want winrate closer to 100% just iri tape and stack 4 slowdowns even comp teams will struggle against that
I don't care what anyone says she's actually S tier because she's so easy to play relative to her strength.. killers like nurse and blight you can't just play 1-2 games with them and have this kind of results from the get go, awful rework
That's a bit much dont you think?
I mained old Sadako and became 3-4th in public leader boards. I also played new sadako a bunch. Against good teams she still struggles because her chase is so bad. I still dont get why it got nerfed.
Comp teams still destroy almost every killer in the game, including her.
You underestimate what they can do.
Last but not least, a killer does not have to be hard to be strong. Some people don't want a hard killer to win matches (Chess merchent).
Last but not least: nurse is super easy... I played like 4 games. First one I struggled hard. Second one I got good hits. Third one I hit most blinks. Fourth game I got a 4k at 3 gens left. My survivors where not bad. Nurse just has extremely little counterplay if she hits her blinks without much guessing.
Nurse is probably the closest thing to a win card there is for killers in a public setting.
-
So Nurse and Blight are a problem? That's nothing new.
Is ultimate weapon this strong in Freddy or Legion?
Also..... Survivors playing stealthy?????

@HOMOGRIMOIRE said:

Yeah... I don't think anyone that actually played her, except for like, one or two people, was excited or looking forward to her rework. Which is like, kinda sad. You'd think the devs would see her existing player base be vocally against it and maybe think twice or hold off on the rework. Right now, I'm still trying to find a build i like for my play style to try and make her work, but it's not looking good so far :(
You can make her work really fast. I just find the new Sadako boring. Condemnig players is severely less skillfull and just a matter of spamming your power and predicting survivor movement a bit. Most groups cant handle dealing with tapes well, making an early mori very likely to happen. The mini mori was once a special achievement in a nmatch for clever playing (not with iri tape). I played without iri tape and got many moris with good strategy and planning in every match. It felt rewarding. Sadako right now is just watered down so that all players without much of the before needed skill can achieve what the few players did before.
I personally still hold a grudge against bhvr that they didnt listen to the feedback and just pushed it live. I refuse to give ptb feedback since then and as i said very rarely play her anymore. I had her at p66 at the time of the rework and shes still p66. Just extremely sad.
Im back to being a full out Pig main.
-
A lot of dedicated players, myself included, said all that on the PTB feedback back then. We all got ignored.
Now we have to deal with this, because it doesnt seem like she is getting reverted.
Btw... Ive stopped playing her except maybe one round a week.

The most popular comment is essentially, BHVR only responds to crying and survivors cry more. If that is the overwhelming sentiment then no, nobody is happy. These threads always end up the same. Everyone pours their own frustrations into a thread and everyone leaves more miserable than when they arrived. It's a scenario where absolutely nobody wins.
Alien got it's tail tweaked so when it misses it's ranged melee attack, it is as punishing as others killers, and MFT for this is getting changed. Alien is still very strong and barely got changed, and the thing killers have been complaining about for months is getting addressed. The response to that should be cautious optimism, not doomerism.
I said it in another post already. so im gonna copy paste here:
"However. It is odd that the Xenomorph is nerfed this fast and made for this isn't despite an equal amount of people being upset.
On top of that: as killer I always play against survivors. They dont change. They don't have different power or abilities. Therefore I can always see made for this, resilience, Windows, adrenaline, lithe, sprint burst and the like on every survivor, every game.
As survivor you don't see the same killer every game, despite what some people say. Blight, Nurse and Huntress are 3 killers.
What do I do when I play Pig? Myers? Trapper? Wraith? Doctor?
I cant just switch to blight mid game and even the odds.
I would argue that survivor sees a bit more variety than killer does. Therefore the things that are unchanged sting a bit more. Killers see them every game. Survivors do not. For the most part.
If something is seen every game, players will be upset.
Just like with Xenomorph.
Again : I know where OP is coming from."
It was basicly about the same thing: killers complaining about mft not getting nerfed right now but Xenomorph getting nerfed. Its more about the when rather then the "is it coming at all".

Someone is happy?

If BHVR listened to the volume of complaints they'd have nerfed Blight years ago.
We are on, what, year 3 of Alc Ring C33?
How many years has Nurse been queen? How many years was Iri Head around?
BHVR is just glacially slow at changing things, even simple numbers.
Nurse got changed a lot over the years.
She ignores mechanics the survivors can do to delay the killer. Her design is plain outdated. Nerfing her movement speed or blink distance would just make her one thing: bad.
We want killers to be good. Nurse is like Freddy in that regard. His snares either slow you down so much that he is guaranteed a hit or they don't do almost anything.
You can only have one extreme. Good or bad. Nurse would need a complete rework that changes fundamentally how she is played.
Blight is also more fun to verse from survivors from what I've seen.
About iridescent head, I will agree with you.
However. It is odd that the Xenomorph is nerfed this fast and made for this isn't despite an equal amount of people being upset.
On top of that: as killer I always play against survivors. They dont change. They don't have different power or abilities. Therefore I can always see made for this, resilience, Windows, adrenaline, lithe, sprint burst and the like on every survivor, every game.

bhvr has gotten too predictable with survivor. when a killer is weak but fun for survivors bhvr doesnt really bother with them that much. but when its fun for killer all hell breaks loose and bhvr will nerf the killer until its actually either fun for survivor or unfun for killer to prevent the killer from being played much against the survivors. if survivors complain about something it will be nerfed sooner or later.
Killers that are unfun for killer have the problem that they are played very rarely.
A good example is Singularity. A killer that is not played much, because his playstyle isn't for most players.
On top, he had a very troubling start. EMP's where way too strong.
Then they got nerfed a lot.
BHVR does change killers if they are unfun for killers.

They are hinting at blight add-ons and the year long complaints about them that haven't been addressed as a counterargument against the yearlong wait on dh/key/MFT nerfs.
I know what they where referring to.
What I meant with my post is that it is frustrating for both sides when it happens. And that the opinion of OP has its reasons.
Blight is also not game breaking. But with his addons he is also mostly unfun to go against.
I would even say that more players enjoy going against a good blight than against old dead hard, made for this or a good Xenomorph with no cooldown.

@Pulsar said:
Oh no, how dare they slightly nerf a Killer. How will anyone go on?
To be honest, I think the Xeno is still a solid a tier killer. He just has to be played well and is still at the same strength level I feel.
I think we are on the same boat there.
However, you have to agree that the opinions origin of this post is also understandable.
I very much dislike the "us VS them" - mentality but it is true that some perks like made for this and dead hard get and got complained about for a lot longer and had either no change at all or it took a very long time.
Was dh the most game breaking thing ever? No? I still won a lot of my games.
Is made for this the most game breaking thing ever? No. I still win a lot of my games.
Was the Xenomorph the most game breaking thing because of its lack of cooldown? Also no. Survivors still seem to escape a good amount of time against it.
But all these have one thing in common. They are not really fun to play against.
That is a reason to complain.
-
We all know where it's value lies....
Basement bubba noises intensify.
Otherwise, I tried to get value out of it by camping a Gen. But even there, trail of torment does the job better because it also gives a notification and it shows the survivor the Gen that is affected, luring them in.
Very outdated perk that is only good for some laughs and memes.

Well with singularity it makes sense how he can just camp 3 gen area with the cameras to have counterplay but yeno power is just for chase and very similar to nemesis.
I think we in designing a killer we need to take the fun of both sides into consideration. Wesker is a perfect example of this.
Singularity is more fun for the survivors rather than the killer player I feel. Especially on release.
Now that Xeno is a slightly bit more fun for killers than survivors it's suddenly a bit problem.
Why is it a problem? Because it's new.
Clown is also unfun to verse. Same with Hag, Twins, a blight with good addons and last but not least a decent nurse.
Why do we not see 5 threats about Victor being uncountable?
First, because nobody plays them and second, because they are not the new toy.
Xeno is both new and popular making them the new topic of biased arguing.
I honestly dislike it.

I think turrets should be removed now after the nerf or very least there should be lot less. Only thing anyway what they do so well is increase the gap between soloQ and swf because the latter can plan how they use them on loop/gens and keep killer without power.
Sadly, yes. I really hope that we will NOT see another emp-situation.
