My first match against a tombstone Myers.
Seeing him mori my friend was unexpected and hilarious. I didn't know he was able to do that back then.
Otherwise? Falling in love with Piggy of course! ❤️🐽❤️

I do miss the aesthetics of the old Realms, despite any imbalances on them. Bring back the blues and the greens and nighttime corn! Old Haddonfield had its issues when playing killer, but I miss it nonetheless.
What isn't missed are permanently broken hooks, hatch standoffs, healing at pallets, insta moris, insta DS, insta heals, dribbling survs to hooks, actual infinites etc.
Don't forget old bnps. Insta gen go brrr...

Pig had her terror radius adjusted to make it go in line with the other 115% killers.
However, killers like Sadako and Wesker exist and have bigger and smaller terror radii despite being 115% as well.
These killers having differently sized terror radii makes the original change of Piggies TR make no sense at all.

Sounds fire. Faster carrying speed Piggy gooo!

Yeah see this is what i mean, it's all subjective but the thing is when you play these low tier killers, you can make like 3 mistakes at most to have an actual chance of winning but if you play like these S-tier killers you can more mistakes but you can also correct those mistakes due to how strong they are. I just don't find playing in solo queue stressful because i go in with the mentality that my teammates that i get are going to suck. It just feels less stressful to me but that is not to say that solo queue is fine, solo queue right now is in a terrible spot imo but that's because of all the excessive slugging and the thrill of the hunt meta being used but that's because all of the gen regression got gutted or nerfed to the point they are not even worth using, perks like Shoulder The Burden and Babysitter that exclusively helps SWF, basekit yellow mori promoting slugging making slugging for the 4k more prevalent than ever.
I main Pig and Sadako. I can make multiple mistakes and still win.
Most public lobby survivors play do not play perfect by any means. Even at higher levels of mmr. Even people with comp written all over their profiles make massive mistakes. Nobody is perfect and that is fine.
I don't have to win every game and I should not win every game. I try to improve my own performance and have fun. Getting a 3k or 4k is not my personal objective. With that in mind, killer is super chill to me personally.
To each their own though. I have over 4k hours (with over 80% on killer) and absolutely understand how and why others find the role more stressful.

Not in my experience, I've been playing a lot of survivor lately due to the frustration as a killer going against team after team, all meta perks and map offerings after map offerings. All that crap gets to you after a while. I think solo survivor is way less stressful because you only have to rely on your teammates. Like Killer at high MMR is very stressful and not fun. I am saying this as a Freddy main btw.
I mean. Your maining one of the killers with the weakest powers in the game. Of course your games are very stressful at higher levels. As a Pig main I understand that very much.
Killer is more stressful. I never said otherwise. However, it (mostly) comes down to my performance. Soloq feels frustrating because this is not the chase. You lose a lot not to your mistakes but your teams. That makes it worse than killer for me.

You really cannot see how 'humping' and 'teabagging' are, by your own logic, the exact same?
Both are simulating an intimate act in order to irritate the other side. Both are (and again, this is your logic - not mine here) consent violations. You don't get to imply that one is merely BM and the other is virtual (word that rhymes with 'grape'). This is what I'm pointing out as a double standard.
I don't buy into the 'thicker skin' argument. If I had my way, I'd have something like ye olde League of Legends tribunal which took that community from a 12 on the toxicity scale to a 4. But if you want to make it, it applies equally to both and you'd get accustomed to both too, if you played survivor more.
Now, personally - I consider both to be poisonous to the game as a whole. I've recently been playing a lot of Marvel Rivals, where you can get actual bans for saying things like GG EZ. It's fantastic and there is generally minimal BM and a lot of wholesome banter…outside of public voicechat which is a cesspit as expected.
Sorry, that I was wrong. I'll shut up. Never gonna touch this topic again.

I didn't see this before my last response (otherwise I would have included it there) but you are wrong. I have seen people leave video games over being teabagged and during the ten years I worked with abused individuals this was a triggering behaviour in some cases. However, anytime anyone would bring up their discomfort online they'd be told 'it's not so bad, it isn't a big deal, it's just an in-game thing, maybe video games aren't for you, etc' and any of the other arguments that were also used a couple decades ago when people would say they were going to or had sexually assaulted their opponents but using the r- word and people expressed discomfort with that. And then of course they had to deal with hostility and being dismissed for saying hey, perhaps we shouldn't imply or mimic sexual assaults even if it is in a video game because of common human courtesy.
The video game community has always had a problem with toxicity and justifying behaviours that would never be considered acceptable if they could see the person on the other side and teabagging is just the most current manifestation.
Then I'm wrong. If it's up to me, all these things are awful.
However, as I said. I'm done trying to deal with this playerbase problems.
For years I've tried to bring positivity to these forums when possible.
This is my breaking point. I have enough real life issues that show me how cruel this world can be. It's pointless to try to improve something here. From my experience, nothing changes.

Nobody said you weren't an individual, I'm just trying to explain that society applies meaning to lexical terms or phenomena. There was no personal attack here other than what you chose to infer.
What people took issue with was the enormous double standard.
You were basically saying 'well if a killer does something gross that's a serious consent violation but if survivors do something gross it's harmless because reasons'.
Don't sadpost or sympathy fish, it only makes you look bad.
I've had discussions with people that humping is harmless, told me to grow thicker skin. I had discussions with people that tbagging is harmless. Just in game stuff. What i took from those discussions is, that indicating a real life crime goes way beyond simple taunting. "humping" doesn't leave much to imagination. It's a powerful person "humping" a vulnerable victim on the ground. It's a serious issue that people find this acceptable.
Is tbagging fine? I don't like it. I grew accustom to it. I grew thicker skin so to say.
Just a few months back there was someone writing that they could not play this game anymore due to some killer humping them while playing survivor. This is serious.
I've never seen people say the same about tbagging. Maybe I'm wrong.
Doesn't matter though. Over the years I've tried to improve people's mindsets here. I see that nothing changes. Why bother trying.

You've never faced an actual bully squad then.
One who'll send you to Ormond or Asylum to abuse the unhookable spot, will abuse BGP+the flashbang model glitch or double locker save (yes these have been partially fixed) to ALWAYS 100% save, or who will run stealth perks and go out of their way to waste as much of your time as possible by hiding all over the map and not doing gens to try and make you DC.
You got any streams or videos by the way? You make a lot of claims about your own personal skill at dealing with coordinated hell SWFs and I'm genuinely curious to see.

How does actively harassing other player by abusing gameplay features helps them survive? More often than not, Killer opt just to stand AFK in the corner and wait bully squads out. Is that their survival mechanic? I guess, writing death threats to Killers who actually managed to beat them are also just part of survivors being friendly and just trying to survive. Surely, they didn't mean anything by that.
As you see, this does not mean, that it makes the killers match miserable. I WANT to face groups like this. They don't ruin my game, they improve it and more often than not, their plays lead to hilarious scenarios. It's fun.
Good for you, but other people have self-respect.
How is flashlight-saving / head on-saving abusing gameplay features?
How do they survive? They keep their team alive. Do I excuse the end game chat harassment? No. Absolutely not. I already said that.
Just for your record. I have self-respect. Thanks.

Yes. What you describe in the second part is not toxic. It's people using the stuff in game. They want to win while having a big advantage. The same exists on killer side as well. It's the loadout problem of dbd. It's not toxicity.
So, not doing the objectives in favor of harassing the Killer and denying them their objectives, forcing them into situations where they can't get an upper hand, and wasting their time is not toxic? Survivors not having fun at the Killer's expense and don't understand they're making their match miserable? Using perks and tools meant to be used defensively for a single goal of bullying the opponent is not toxic?
Humping on the other hand provides no in game value. People lose time doing it. It's purely done to make the other side feel bad.
So does tbagging. So does using Boil Over only to get downed in the farthest corner of the map while teammates sabo nearby hooks. So does standing at the exit gate for a final spit in the face to the Killer. Yet you defend such behavior.
I'm not even going into why humping in particular is the absolute bottom of the barrel because literal threads got closed for that reason alone. It's vile and disgusting behaviour.Once again, tbagging has the same connotation, but you make excuses for it.
In regard to the first part:
Yes. The survivors trying to slow down the killers progress is not necessary them trying to be toxic. They try to survive. I personally take a flashlight squad over a gen efficient team any day of the week. They want to interact with me? I'll gladly take that.
As you see, this does not mean, that it makes the killers match miserable. I WANT to face groups like this. They don't ruin my game, they improve it and more often than not, their plays lead to hilarious scenarios. It's fun.
Tbagging by no means is on the same level as what humping implies. If you think so, then we can stop this discussion right now.

I would argue toxicity is anything that tries to make the other side feel bad/worse just for the sake of making them feel bad.
I personally am not too bothered by taunting but I understand why some others might be, and I think intent matters more than impact.
That's the thing though. Bringing strong stuff or going for blinds does not have to mean that they want to ruin your experience. Same with animation spamming after vaulting or pallet throw. Some people genuinely do it to win. They don't want you to have a bad time, they just don't care.
Humpings intention leaves little to imagination. It depicts an act that is absolutely horrible. It should have no place in a game, where people try to escape reality. Not so far back we had a person right here on the forums telling us that they could not play the game anymore after experiencing something like that.
Tbagging in exit gate is bm for sure. It's done to make tue killer feel bad and I see your point. However, humping goes waaaay further than just simple bm. It brings real life trauma into a space where it has no right being at.

The game allows killers to "hump" and survivors to "teabag." Must not be toxic, lets not use the excuse that just because the game allows it makes it not toxic. I think most the toxicity comes from bad game design, balancing, and matchmaking.
Tbagging is not toxic, no. Hitting on hook is not toxic, no. Animation spamming is also not toxic. This is taunting. Fine by me although unpleasant.
Slugging, genrushing, camping and tunneling are also not toxic as isnt using strong loadout.
Humping on the other hand is. Why? Because of what it implies.

Following your logic, if game allows humping, then it's not toxicity, it's just gameplay?
And yes, it's totally not toxic for a group of "friends" to select map offering that gives them an advantage, equip Head On and keep getting downed near lockers for endless saves. They are totally using perks as intended. It's not toxic for them to chase Killer carrying a Survivor to sabotage all the hooks around vicinity to force either a drop or a wiggle off, denying the Killer all the hooking points. It's not toxic of them after making the game as miserable as possible to hold the endgame hostage by standing in the activated gates and waiting for the Killer to come and watch them tbag, drop a final flash grenade in their face and then leave. Oh, no, they are totally being friendly that way, they were just having fun! You see, they're laughing with the Killer, not at them for sure!

Yesterday I had to go against several SWFs in a row who all had DS, DH, Sabotage and Head On equipped. Also kits with syringes and flashlights. Oh yeah, definitely the game is less toxic and nobody is abusing the game features to create a miserable experience.
That is not toxicity. The game allows loadout combinations like this to happen. Its not abusing tools, its using tools. Does that make it less of a problem? No. However, its a seperate problem, mostly unrelated to toxicity.
Toxicity is end game chat harassment, writing stuff on peoples steam profiles and, because it goes waaaay beyond simple in game taunting, the notorious humping that some killer players enjoy to do (for whatever reason).

@Pulsar said:
People do not play DBD to be on the floor for 4 minutes, just like they don't play DBD to be blinded or stunned for a whole game.
The game is meant to be fun for both sides, not just whatever side you happen to play. It doesn't take a genius to understand why being on the ground for so long might not be the ideal DBD experience.
Likewise, I think people don't want to bring anti-slug perks because they already feel they need to bring certain perks already. It's one of my greatest issues with DBD, which is that through the elimination of variability in both Killers, maps and RNG; the game has forced players to take certain types of perks.
As a Survivor, you NEED to have anti-tunnel perks else you're liable to be removed from the match, but a lot of these perks have negative synergy, ie, you cannot use OTR and DH. You also need a chase perk to help with some of the more oppressive Killer powers, since maps cannot be relied on anymore. You'll also likely need an information perk, either to keep tabs on the Killer or your teammates. That leaves you ONE perk slot of your own choosing, which you are now saying Survivors must give up in order to counter slugging.
As a Killer, you NEED to bring at least one gen regression perk. These perks, unlike anti-tunnel, usually have synergy together, which leads to them being stacked. Most Killers do not need chase perks anymore, due to maps being FAR weaker than they used to be and FAR FAR smaller. Information, however, is still useful; but as I said earlier, with maps being smaller, information is less valuable. Still, Killers usually end up with just two perk slots free in order to have a good experience.
That is less than ideal. I would be interested to see how many of the current Killers play on maps from say, 2019, with some common-sense adjustments, of course.
Off topic, but I just want to say: it's great so see you back in action. I missed your input.
On topic: absolutely agree.

It’s been twice they tried in the last month after a dozen or so patches where the bug was neglected, and still it’s bugged, idk. There’s a streamer who made the video proving she is still bugged. Without the add on, her intermittent invisibility numbered like .987, where supposedly must be 1.2 seconds, with the add on was lower, like .947.
Awful yet not unexpected.
Piggy is still missing her bear trap in the lobby after almost a year at this point. Although this is not gameplay related, you know what I mean. It's the bigger picture.

If you tbag or emote, you're getting bled out. The killer's showboating on you while in a winning position beyond your control, because that's what you did to him.
Otherwise, he's just being a jerk.
But you're talking about strategic slugging. There's nothing wrong with that. Kills are the killer's objective, and slugging to get the 4th survivor is more kills, more objective. I'm sure survivors would do the 2 more gens (after the 5 have powered the gates) for more points and satisfaction.
I'm not even against a CoD/Battlefield style "coward's way out" option to speed up the dying progress on the ground, because I just want people to stop complaining about this. Your position and solution, like many others', puts all the burden of reasonable doubt on the killer.
Retaliating with the same energy supports the cycle.
If they trigger you, they think they won. Then you feel the need to trigger them to feel better yourself.
Who wins here? Where does this lead?
We should help make this game what it's supposed to be. Escapism from reality. Life is often rough enough. There is nothing wrong being nice to people. Even if they don't show immediate appreciation, they know, you know, you did something good.
We should be better.

first of all you have to accept that hatch causes slugging for 4k…slugging for 4k is used to avoid 4th surv escaping ;)… and in most cases that 4th guy was just hiding somewhere, letting his team die. no, im not gonna let anyone escape when i play killer, my job is to make sure noone escapes… i don't care what you think about what is win or what's not. there are 4 survivors and one killer, means 4 survivors have to die. IF YOU DON'T LIKE LONG GAMES WITH HIDE N SEEK then don't hide until 3 teammates are dead XD. if you rly want that hatch then earn it. you don't deserve hatch if you can't survive without hiding. we play for points, points are for objectives like helping other survs, repairing, sabotage, looping and leaving killer, stunning killer etc. not for hiding. noone cares about your feelings and your opinion, devs created slugging mechanic and hatch to use it.. you don't like it?? then don't play this game because people will continue hiding and leavin their teams to get hatch, slugging and being toxic and all you can do is accept that or uninstall dbd
No. There is a third way.

No, she used to have two bugs, only one of them has been fixed.
In her latest update her intermittent invisibility was (technically) buffed, but due to a bug it was actually nerfed and became even shorter than before. It's been almost a year and we still haven't actually had the chance to try these buffs
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3858341#Comment_3858341
That's the thing though, as time passes these bugs will just accumulate and have less and less chances to get looked at. Most bug fix patches tend to prioritize the newer killers, so older ones like Knight, Spirit, Sadako, Pig and the various bugged characters will have to stay bugged for years
My bad, thx for clarifying.
Funnily enough, I play her a lot this event and have not run into any problems yet. At least none that im aware of.
At least Piggies in- and out of crouch - speed isnt bugged again. sigh…

They also 100% sniped him lol
They spammed "Ez" and kept asking tru3 to scrim in end game chat
But it makes me wonder if any of these fun silly challenges are actually possible as a popular streamer when a 4 man can just decide to try and end it at any time
And if they fail? oh well they can try again and the other swf is just waiting for the match to be over for their turn at it
Props to otzdarva for sticking to these challenges i don't watch him but they seem to take forever and they must be brutal to get blatantly sniped through the halfway mark of it or near the end

Well, that's the thing. With the release of Treacherous Crows, BHVR has cemented that Invocations will always be below F-tier in quality. 60 seconds of invocation time + permabroken is a deficit that could only be made balanced by giving it some fundamentally broken effect on the other side. And they're not going to do that, because that would likely be horrid to play against. So they go big on the risk/investment cost, but then slam the brakes on the reward to ensure the perk gets buried below the bottom of the trashbin.
As @Ayodam says, these are effectively killer perks, and as long as they have the investment cost that they do, the entire category of perks is a complete write-off.
Sadly have to agree. It's a shame though. The core idea is definitely salvageable.

It wouldn't at the moment, but if you could compress what would ordinarily be a 240 second time investment into 60 seconds by the time there's four invocations, that -could- potentially be overpowered. Especially since BHVR have now cemented that all invocations MUST take 60 seconds and HAVE to make you perma-broken.
BHVR painted themselves into an absolute corner by doubling down on the garbage design of Weaving Spiders. They knew it didn't work and went 'what the heck, let's apply this faulty design to ALL future perks in this category'.

You have to think further. Much further. These will not be the only Invocation Perks. More are guaranteed to come. Imagine 4 Invocation Perks all activated at once. Those are powerful effects for all survivors, and for the price of just one Broken effect and 60s (if you do it solo). That would be way too powerful. Not to mention SWF in combination with that.
Yes, Im thinking now. BHVR has made different perk types in the past and left them in the dust (teamwork). If this really becomes a big category of perks, then im willing to see that it might become goodish. Right now though? Even with both being activated at the same time its not worth it in my book. The risk is too high.

Rework: if you use two Invocations at the same time, you will be permanently put in the dying state for the remainder of the trial.
But hey, you can see the killers aura while they come to pick you up in the basement.

How?

I see, and I hear and agree with all of that. Pardon my aggression there, it's late for me and I wasn't exactly right. My bad. :)
Glad you agree! No worries. Didnt really see that as aggressive tbh. Have a nice evening.

I agree with you, and I just wanna flip this though… why SHOULDN'T BHVR change it to make it easier for the casual set?
It's not about making dbd easier for a casual audience. It's about restructuring the core gameplay to be more player friendly oriented.
Disincentivise getting a survivor out ASAP. Introduce an early game mechanic so that gens don't fly in the first minute. Rework / change the outliers in terms of strength (Killers like Nurse, Trapper; addons like syringe, bnp; items like maps). Reevaluate map design across the board.
These are just a few aspects that would need to be looked at in order to make dbd more player friendly.
Sadly I don't see this happen any time soon, if at all. It take a lot of commitment and time to do this and after 8 years I can understand that BHVR is unwilling to change their game this drastically.

I just expressed another point of view of the killers who don't care about blood points.
I'm more convinced by these numbers. Despite the broken offering. I can become good. The main thing is that the warriors of light and other survivors don't interfere with me. Change the build again.

There was a time, where I felt similarly and didnt care about bp either. This was in my prime time as a killer main. This is over though. There is new content coming out regularly and multiple characters to level up. I personally enjoy each bp-gift i can get my hands on.
You game-example seems decent to me. I assume the survivors with the lowest points tried to go for flashlight saves? It often leads to less points because they rarely work on the objective. There are also a lot of killers that do a lot worse on terms of points than good Doctor.
To conclude, there is a lot more in dbd - killer than killing survivors and Id hope that BHVR embraces this rather than further parting with the idea.

Are you absolutely sure that when a killer has such equipment he cares about blood points?
I have more addons and offerings on good Piggy and yes, I care about bp. I level more than one character and play both roles.

I have all perks and at the very least 500 of each addon, bp could not be more irrelevant to me.
And while yes as you say the balance of items and killers is iffy, still trying to win a match against the rare pub team thats actually good is very entertaining, hence why I like to be in top mmr (which is funny because top mmr cap is incredibly low so even in top mmr you still have a lot of people who are not good), if I wanted to face Ai Ill just join a custom match, I like facing good opponents.
I have two p100, three at p50+ and continue to level Lara right now. I have literally thousands of addons of each rarity on my Piggy that im never going to use. Despite this, there is always new content that requires bp to be spend. If its not relevant to you, there are a ton of others that its very relevant to.
Dont get me wrong, I want to be challenged in dbd. I challenge myself by not bringing the best and most optimal stuff every game (literally stbfl only - Pig). However, I dont play every match to lose either. Sometimes winning a match is fun to me, sometimes losing a very good match is fun to me. It depends on the situation.
As stated before, Im very much aware, that winning a match in dbd is sometimes not realistically doable with some killers against certain loadouts. Sometimes there is no getting better. Its simply the limitation of the killers strenght.
I never said, I want to face AI. I want to face good players. Not people that boost their loadouts to unbeatable levels. Sadly this is what higher play in dbd almost always looks like.

They are. The problem is there's a lot of short sighted players in this game.
Maybe that should finally change.
