hands off mikey, you nerf bat bad players would rather see the game gutted then learn how to play.
He has plenty of counter play be mindful of LOS, duck down behind stuff deny him stalk and then smash out gens as usual.

Hag is a very idiosyncratic killer. She's really good, but requires a totally different way of looking at the game. Some people just despise her, but she's probably my favorite killer and once they fix the current bug with her traps, I'll be back to having a ton of fun on her.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2856946#Comment_2856946
Trickster...is just not a fun killer to play or play against.
Pyramid Head is a great killer with two serious issues: his addons are awful and his cages don't interact with hook perks, meaning no BBQ, meaning that I am less likely to play him.
Maybe once they fix the grind.
Artist is a fantastic killer. She feels clunky at first but once you get a feel for her, she's a ton of fun and can do stuff no other killer is capable of. My all time favorite moment is hooking someone, spotting two people healing with BBQ, birding them both with her purple addon and then predicting them and downing them both with a perfectly placed volley from across the map.
Oh yeah where artist is concerned its 100% me, I just haven't got it yet haven't tried much either.
I was never a big fan of silent hill anyway and the cages aren't really that great of a mechanic so again lack the motivation to try.
Yeah trickster is just all kinds of ugh from aesthetic to playstyle, I'm really not a fan.
Cow on an ice rink is the best description of billy I've heard yet.
-
Artist, I really want to like her but I just find her clunky to use
Billy, for a lot of the same reasons already given here,
Pyramid head, again just can't make it work
Trickster just because ugh.

this is normal killers looping my friends noramlly then hook camping me when i loop them for to long they ARE NOT bringing a fun hook camp build (i do play rancor noed, bloodwarden deathslinger in the basement protecting the chest sometime thats a fun "hookcamping build"). These killers were normal killers looping normally until i looped them to long and they just decided to hook / face camp instead of playing... some do it to secure a kill and i get that... but to hookcamp someone because you think they are good is a "eeh you're just proving that i owned you" type of moment like i literally made someone so mad that they stopped playing just to see me die :p
i've had the game since 2017 so i think i know if they are hook camping for fun or if they are mad... because when people hook camp for fun they nod at you and sh*t like that, they often bring a funnier hook and camp relate perks like iron grasp, insidious or whatever (often play bubba, hillbilly or deathslinger)
these dude are playing normally with normal perks just to get looped and then they are spam hitting me on the hook xd
This is not a personal attack but you may want to check your ego, you have no idea if they are mad or not, that is completely assumed.
Its just self reafirming to think they are mad in the absence of any real feedback and using that as rationale for hating on camping is some biased misinformed thinking.
Why is nodding at someone a fun way to hook camp but hitting you is someone who's mad? This is an arbitrary ruleset cooked up to reafirm your point with no real basis.
A player may not go into a game with a camp build and decide partway through to switch up from chasing to hook defence but that in no way means they are mad at you. The same gameplay of hook trading and gaming around the hook is still possible in the latter scenario its only the set up is happenstance.
Why is one a game breaking affront to your fun and the other perfectly fine, when they are basically the same gameplay wise post hook?
From the way you describe it the only difference is, you assume the latter is born of someone being mad at you for being good at the game, but that's all in your head I'm afraid.
You even say its fine to secure a kill you understand but then go on to create this imagined scenario where they are mad at you.
The view that looping is "playing normally" means you are starting from a biased expectation of how the game should be played to begin with.
Hook defence can be just as fun as chasing, my point was you can even build for it but even so just because someone camps doesn't make the game a write off.
If you get frustrated by camping then run anit-camping/tunnel perks, work on teamwork in your SWF or switch up playstyle at game start to avoid being found first all these things are ways to play around someone potentially camping you or targeting you after being unhooked.
-
she was kill switched for a while. I don't play a lot of her but even I hit up a few games in a row yesterday as Nurse because I haven't had the option to for a while.
She's not an auto 4k, she's just a varied enough killer that is strong because most players are too braindead to switch it up and figure out how to avoid her.

is it fun to hook camp? stand still basically?
It absolutely can be, you can even make builds based around it for killer and survivor.
let me give you an example.
Basement trapper, at game start you find the basement, set up a trap web not just around it but at loops within reach of it then you go hunting.
The first chase is a very strategic one, you have to herd the survivor towards the basement, a good survivor will realise what you are trying to do and make plays to focus the chase away from the basement. As survivor you want to be aware of the basement in any game if you are found first to avoid this.
Once you get the down the next step is, can you make it to the basement? (you can make it harder for yourself if you want to only hook in the basement and ignore all other hooks). Once in the basement secure the area with traps and you wait.
What follows is a gen rush and everyone leaves and you get one kill boo, or a really high stakes game of rescue plays out around the hook.
Its a camping build that can result in some very exciting games, both as killer and survivor.
Yes someone may hang on hook all game but that's the end result of a high stakes and exciting first chase. Its all valid gameplay.
It may not be your version of fun but I enjoy a game like that from both sides, many other people do to when they play out well. The same coul dbe sadi from any scenario if it plays out well it can be fun.
Slamming out 5 gens with minimal threat from the killer can be just as boring as hanging on the hook. I'd rather a high stakes high threat game than an easy BP farm, that bores the ######### outa me.
Some people like to farm BP's and make sure everyone gets out and if that's what they find fun more power to them, I'm not going to denigrate their version of fun just because its not mine.

but i play in a 4 man swf they are not that good so i have to wait for them to be done too and i basically sit on a hook for 120 sec then i have to wait for them to escape
Well that's one of the advantages of solo queue.
Solo and SWF each have their advantages and drawbacks.
One of SWF's being if you are eliminated early you have to wait for your friends to finish if you want to continue.
Its an elimination game. If you are getting camped and eliminated early every game then play a lil more cautious at the beginning. You don't want to be the first one found or you run the risk of being an early target for elimination.
As a team you may want to work on your coordinated saves and gen focus, nothing wrong with an obvious hook trade to buy extra time to smash out gens 4 and 5 resulting in 4 people up on gates powered with only 2 on 1 hook each.
That's how you counter play camping, good teamwork, one of the SWF advantages.
-
It definitely works from time to time. Whiff a bunch of hits as any killer, pause to kick gens.
Lose the first couple of chases and sometimes the survivors get bold and cocky start playing poorly and getting in you face.
Next thing its 4x down.
I do this a lot as Myers spend the game in tier 1 whiffing then pop tier three in the endgame for 4x Insta down in one round. Sometimes it works sometimes not but when it does it’s fun.
-
So basically you had some great chases that went on for three gens and then died.
queue up again.
when you die in game you don’t die in real life. Play another one.
-
I’m tired of gen camping.
I start fixing a gen, get to 70% then the killer comes by and I leave and when I come back that same gen is still there at 70%.
I’m trying to find a different gen but that same gen at 70% is still sitting there. So I finish it and bam it’s outa the game before any other gen.
I’d switch gens and make sure every gen got to 70% before I finished one of them but I keep coming across the same 70% gen again and again so I have no choice but to fix it.
It really bums me out.
-
I get it too, when grossly mismatched, and as a result, outplaying a killer I expect I'll probably get camped.
Because the chase usually ate a lot of survivor objective/killer time to get me, especially if they committed to it and the last thing they probably want to do is chase me again.
If it gets me a lil "I got you!" smack on the hook then so be it. If the killer wants to do that for the duration of the hook state then my team can escape in exchange for my sacrifice.
Its a game it really doesn't matter. The only problematic thing is the post game abuse, everything else is just game play.
I'm always amazed how often people assume opponent motivation or mental state because of how a game went. "You're so mad", "why you get so up set you have to camp" "just because I cleansed your totem you tunnel me" blah blah blah.
Its a game its not personal its just business why do people insist on making a personally irritating scenario in their own head and then blame everyone else around them for it?
Half the complaints on this forum are just people whom antagonize themselves because they assume all this negative crap about their opponents and its always personal.
-
Its an elimination game you are gonna get eliminated early sometimes to the detriment of the rest of your game.
The threat of elimination is what creates your reason for trying to escape in the first place but people get really angry when they are eliminated. Likely because they are eliminated by another player which is ego hurting.
If the killer was a really hard AI people would probably relish the challenge but as its a person they all just get upset that they lost to someone else. More so if that loss comes quickly or efficiently.
Every trialed suggestion to punish camping has just been a huge nerf that was heavily exploited by survivors. Often with game stalling effects.
I think people just have to understand that sometimes you are going to be eliminated, you may be the only one eliminated, or eliminated early but that's just part playing an elimination game.
They already nerfed most tools used to auto eliminate people early you can no longer mori on first down or first hook state.
What do people want? Just to constantly respawn so they can keep playing then everyone just gets a tallied score at the end. What a drawn out repetitive threat-less nightmare that would be.
Compare this game to say MWO, where you may get caught out surrounded and blown up early, but you don't really see its online community screaming about dying early. They don't want fixes that make them immune to elimination or being targeted because they feel its unfair to miss out.
I sucks to be knocked out early but screaming that if you get shot and nearly killed in the first two mins there should be a mechanic that makes you immune to damage because waaah I don't want to die first is just silly. Its a mindset that really infects the DBD community though.
-
@LiquidSoap said:
The most annoying part of this is that some killers are literally children I got tunneled just cuz I got a pallet save or sabo a hook, like how ######### dare I use a mechanic that is in the game...
Did the killers in question tell you this post game or are you just assuming their motivation because you are angry about being eliminated efficiently?
Its very easy to manifest some antagonizing scenario in your head that alleviates you of mistakes and makes the fault entirely your opponents through some imagined malicious intent.

Survivors have so many stealth perks for avoiding sight, making sound, and now even blood trails and scratch marks. A Nurse can’t chase or down what she can’t find. Even without perks, lockers are available every match (to avoid BBQ or other perks).
Mind games aren’t ever meant to be 100% against any killer, or are chases designed to be indefinite. Nurse changes how you evade, which other killers do as well.
Any exhaustion perk that gets you stealth against her is excellent. Only Smash Hit would be a bad exhaustion perk against her usually.
Yeah, lockers. Believe it or not, you can actually juke a Nurse attack by jumping in a locker. And (gasp) even have enough time to jump out while she is in fatigue! And of course, blocking aura reading perks.
Lightburn is an option, even if difficult to achieve. As are pallets.
Nurse is here to stay. Hopefully she doesn’t get any more base kit changes.
Exactly this.
Nurse is different and interesting but that means you may have to think or play differently to counter her, rather than hold W or run in a circle around the same rock. This mean she needs to be nerfed into the ground to make it possible to hold W or run around the same rock.
Some players won't be happy till every killer is completely predictable, telegraphs their powers, is unsurprising in anyway and are all countered by the exact same thing. They refer to this as balance. In reality its mediocrity.
Nurse is great, fun to face, different, threatening and scary as every killer should be.

If something like an AFK killer being able to kill 4 players shouldn't be addressed. The I guarantee that meta perks, map rebalanced, generator speeds and boons shouldn't be addressed either.
Do you think the developers are going to be proactive with balance changes when they aren't even making the effort to address bugs.
How does it kill 4 people?
Or is it the taking it down to 3v1 before game end results in higher 4k chance being the indirect effect?
I mean I've never encountered it but if I did after failing to remove the trap I'd probably complete as much objective as I could to help my team escape then let my head pop and laugh it off before queing again because hey, its only a game who gives a #########.

I won't continue discussion with you as you are very close minded and refuse to see my point.
My point is literally dont dismiss every little annoyance as toxic and be more open minded toward other play styles that you may not personally enjoy.
I see your point I'm saying there is a better mindset to have than getting upset about things you perceive as toxic but are basically just gameplay.
I don't see how that's closed minded but you have tried to deflect most of my point rather than take it on and that's fine to, but my point is valid.
I won't bother you with it any further and believe me no unresolved conflict exists between us, but your original question was why are all the Onryo players being toxic and my reply was they're not really because what you described isn't real toxicity.
Refering to people who tunnel as scumbags though is toxic and you did do that so... food for thought for you.

How is it possible to still misunderstand sarcasm even if I wrote right below it "jokes aside"? 😂
Sarcasm doesn't translate very well in text due to lack of inflection/intonation that often denotes it when spoken. Even with jokes aside.
Also people take this forum, much like the game, way too seriously.
I like nurse playing her and playing against her. She's different, interesting and has one of the creepier aesthetics. Also the skill cap feels higher making that first 4k with her really satisfying.
I only have a few screen shots from DBD 1st 4k (as Hag), first Nurse 4k and Myers achievement match. A couple of hilarious post game salt shots that you always look back on fondly.

haha I read the titlle and clicked on it to say cooperative actions and bam I see that's the OP's too.
Splitting up on gens is your best play so even if you try to join someone they move on, uber fast self healing means you often aren't coop healing so those cooperative action tomes usually sit there unfinished for a while if I'm only solo queuing.

It's an abuse of power in which killers not let one player actually play the game for the entirety of the match.
Back when the game was more fair, they were criticized of this behavior. After SBMM and with killer mains crying that the only real way to "win" (don't even know what that means anymore lol) is to camp and tunnel, these guys are now creating their own alibis to justify themselves too.
Grabbing players is fine, but it's the people who abuse them that's the problem.
Abusable face camping has already been fixed by rotational unhooking.
You still got to play the game you just got found hooked and eliminated early.
Its a game of elimination this is gonna happen sometimes.
-
They should have never anounced the kill switch because now its I don't like X kill switch it!
-
In the hands of a good player nurse is terrifying to try and escape from. Makes for great games, the threat is real.
-
The BM’ing can’t hurt you unless you let it.
If you don’t want to wait out the egc then just chase em out and move on.
Personally I use the time to break pallets, spam my power milk the last few points I can and just ignore the the gates.
I don’t get it either but it’s nothing to get frustrated about. Someone’s mashing buttons on their gear and I’m meant to feel bad good luck with that. Who cares just queue up for the next game.
To all the people saying they only do it if the killer camps and tunnels it’s just so silly. A bad sport is a bad sport no matter how you wanna dress it up.
The 2min egc definitely beats the 20 min hatch stand-off pre egc.

You either love getting to be like, "Screw off main objective, I'm doing The Box!" or you hate having to get off gens because the killer actually came with a map-wide way to pressure survivors. Me and my friend fight over who gets the box. But when I play Pinhead, a lot of survivors seem loathe to get off gens and instead are getting hit by chains constantly because I guess they all think "Well, someone else will get it." Dude, the chain hunts are screwing you, someone do the box! But their unwillingness to change their playstyle becomes a problem with the killer in their eyes, and they get upset because I swear the only thing many want to do is play gen repair sim and any killer interference is considered an unfortunate and unwanted part of DbD.
Yep, the gen jockey loop mentality.
There is one really efficient way to play this game as survivor, oh crap a killer/perk/add on makes it harder to just do that one thing, it’s bad unfun needs to be nerfed removed etc etc.
It’s tiresome to see.

Explain bming such as swinging and nodding at someone in the ground. If it doesn't give any competitive advantage why else would they do it other than to be toxic?
Maybe they find it thematic and fun to play out the persona of the vicious killer.
It doesn't have to provide an advantage to be not toxic or even fun, to quote a great android "ah fun the employment of time in a profitless and non practical way"
I'd love there to be a solo play mode with bots so I didn't have to consider anyone else's feelings with respect to my gameplay because I personally like everyone to have fun, but I'm in no way obligated to make the game fun for you or vice versa and there is nothing toxic about that.
Head to head competitive fun will often come at the expense of the opponent's game experience, but do you expect people in a PVP FPS to not shoot you because you just spawned and will miss out on the fun no, that's nuts. You are gonna get shot and die, sometimes quickly its part of the game.
You are gonna get killed in dbd, you are gonna get camped, tunneled, blinded, stunned, eliminated, no kills, gen rushed, looped, bled out, its just part of the game. Players may taunt and trash talk, point, nod, smack people on hook its all just part of the game.
You may not always find it fun but thats the risk of playing with strangers online their fun may not be your fun, but that doesn't make it a toxic attack on your fun, you are doing that to yourself by getting upset over it.

I believe in fairness. Blight isn't fair.
And that's a fair opinion to have (no pun intended).
I like the idea of assymetric gameplay where as a team you may get 1 or 2 people out but for the most part you are screwed against the killer.
I play DBD to create a horror survival experience for myself, that means you should struggle to survive. Oppressive killers that are really scary and hard to escape make the game exciting.
I get the idea of competitive fairness in PVP but at the same time the unfair nature of the theme is what really got me into the game, can you survive a slasher flick style of scenario. No you probably won't, I don't want it to be fair as that's not scary, its scary because its unfair.
Killers should be individually strong and survivors should only have a chance if they work well as a team because its an asymetric 4v1, but people want 1v1 competitive fairness which doesn't really work in this setting. How can you have 4v1 assymetric game with 1v1 competitive fairness without completely disbalancing the 4v1 element? In there lies the problem.
Its why I think blight and Nurse are good killers because 1v1 they are a lil opressive when played well but a coordinated 4v1 can still escape against them. This is the game as it should be rather than weaker killers that at most pressure 1-2 survivors each game.

I main killer and I main Blight. What's exciting about knowing that you're going to win every game? That's dull, and even when playing survivor, what's exciting about knowing that you stand no chance of escaping?
Because when you do escape its actually rewarding to do so. Loss isn't guarenteed even against a good blight.

Hitting on hook -> wastes about 3 seconds, forces an obstruction onto your view and thus gives you less BBQ value, makes you seem toxic even if there's no intent.
Tabbing out -> wastes about 0.3s, doesn't obstruct your view, doesn't come across as toxic.
It's literally the more efficient play my guy
Point taken I'll give it a try, description did seem like a long work around though.

Stop trying to go with the theme of DBD to justify toxicity.
Mate you are obessed with toxicity, tapping your mouse once to cancel the scream in your ear phones has nothing to do with toxicity.
Heck even if a killer wants to stand their smacking you it just doesn't matter, its only a game. If getting stuck with a camping killer who taps their rmouse at you for the duration of a hook is the worst thing that happens to you in a day, you are one of the luckiest people on the planet.
The term toxicity gets misused so much by the player base of this game its lost all meaning. Its now just a buzz word used by anyone who gets upset. Something happens in game they don't like it must be a toxic ploy to ruin their fun.
The only thing toxic here is that mindset because its just you upsetting yourself over nothing. Its random online PVP you are going to play with people who have a different ideas of what's fun.
Saying "I don't find this fun" is different from saying "this is toxic," the two terms aren't exchangable and if you think they are then you have a warped idea of what real toxicity is.
I'm not a fan of obnoxious play but I'll defend anyones right to play the game however they like because its within the confines of the rules and I don't get to dictate to others how they have fun.
If they find it fun to flashlight click and get in my face as survivor that's fine.
If they find it fun to burn out a survivor as quickly as possible to get it to 3v1 asap then that's fine.
If they want to try and milk points at endgame by not leaving till the last micro-second of EGC that's fine.
If they enjoy playing for hook exchanges and basement builds over chasing that's fine.
I don't do a lot of these things I'm not a big fan of some of them, I say some because I enjoy a good basement build, but I don't like to hang around in the EGC as survivor. Whether or not I do them is irrelvent though, because my fun doesn't dictate other people's fun. <-the take home message.
That's the social element of it being online PVP, it will be a mix of people who'll want different things out of their game experience and just because their version of fun isn't your version of fun doesn't make it toxic.

Have mute focus active and tab out during the hooking animation. Click back in just after it's finished. Bam, silent hooks
You're kidding right?
Or just tap the mouse button and scream ends. Just seems like such a convoluted work around and there are only a couple of survivors you need to tap because of the screechy scream.
I personally don't know why people get so agro over being hit on hook. Isn't it in theme for the killer to stab you again after hooking you?

Everyone, don't believe such lies! Each and every last survivor is out for Killer blood! Attack is he best defense, so tunnel them all!!11 D:
But jokes aside, the best way to deal with such people is to just ignore them. They are often so desperate to get your attention that they will follow you and hover around you as to not miss an opportunity to harass you or go for a flashlight save, that its actually free map pressure and a pseudo 3v1 for you.
That's my usual take on it too, why chase someone that's basically chasing themselves on your behalf by following you around all game not touching gens.
If they do touch a gen chase em off maybe let em get a stun when you leave em they'll usually follow you to taunt you some more and provide you with more free pressure. Once its down to 2v1 then feel free to commit to them and get them out of the game.
Wait for the usual "you couldn't catch me without tunneling" etc post game ego meltdown.
Say GG and move on.

You want to unhook a person when:
- When the Killer is not near by.
- When the Killer is not right next to you.
- The Killer is occupied and invested in doing something else.
- Its up to your Teammates to take the Killer's attention, if they don't, the Killer might come back to the hook.
What to do when you unhooked them:
- Heal them fast.
- Make noise, if the Killer is coming, Hope it gets their attention.
- Should the Killer have spotted you & the unhooked, you must body block against the Killer.
- Should the Killer have spotted only you, Do not run somewhere safe with pallets, as that could make the Killer feel more inclined search for the unhooked instead.
Good Luck.

I find there's two tactics I rely on when it comes to killers who relentlessly tunnel
Either build a loadout to specifically counter it - the build that comes to mind would be something like Dead Hard, DS, Camaraderie/Kinship and either an anti-slugging perk or another perk to help in another way. Lately i've not been running builds like this since I've been to improve my fundementals but if I'm being tunnelled from the get-go I'll usually swap to something like this
Alternatively, a tactic I've been messing with lately is stealth. If a killer wants to tunnel you, he has to find you first and with the right perks you can make that an absolute nightmare
These are the best suggestions. Sound judgement combined with changing gameplay to counter elements you may dislike or struggle to deal with.
Also remeber survivor is a team game camping and tunneling doesn't get punished by you its gets punished by your team mates. The goal is to make sure i fbeing camped/tunneled then the killer uses as much time as possible to allow for your team mates to get the objective done.
If you are solo and in a PUG then expect that it may not be as efficient at this as a SWF, so escape will probably be more random and varied than with an organized group of friends with discord.

I get it, at times the game can feel pretty hopeless when you are playing killer. The 3rd time in a row you get the meat plant when playing say Trapper can make you feel like 'what is the point?'
The game is very survivor sided unless the survivors are new or stupid and with RNG usually favouring survivors (along with all the 2nd chance perks and COH etc) I think some people just give up even trying as it feels like you are set up to fail as killer.
I totally get it and I was just letting everyone go at one point as I didn't want to sweat. I just tried to land every blink (Nurse main) and work on my predictions/reads and let everyone go at the end.
off topic but I kinda like the meat plant as trapper get one in the basement and the two basement corner pallets down and then trap em both. You'd be amazed how many times it happens and then you just ride it out in your lil trap fort.
I'd say people are trying to lower their MMR, or they are just getting a run of really obnoxious survivors and kinda want out.
There are definitely games where I'm like hmm third team in a row rocking full meta and playing really aggressive and obnoxiously. Now there is nothing wrong with that but I personally get tired of it after a while and want a match with a lil less bold survivor play.
Sadly these are also the teams where if you do kill them they have a meltdown at you because competitiveness and sore loserism tend to go hand in hand.

Well that's fine we can agree to disagree, you want it removed because it's strong , I want it removed because bots who can't use it correctly waste too much time off gens, against really good killers that try to snowball COH will make you lose but against the average player I'll admit it's not a race against time in those games
It doesn't need to be removed but it does need some tweaking. Either how boons work needs to change or COH needs to change.
They slowed the heal speed which is a start but the infinite nature of re-lighting boons is not too far removed from original Hex:undying and that got hit with the nerf stick pretty quick.

So I'm being sensitive because it's wasting my time?
Also I have school and work, I'm not trying to waste time getting bled out. I don't have that much time to play this game.

If your tunneling at 3/4/5 gens your just being a scumbag.
Yes you are being to sensitive.
The second quote is a good example, its basically "this person played in a way I don't like they must be a scumbag" Its a really unhealthy mindset to have and will make the game more miserable for you and make you more likely to wig out over nothing. Like dieing in a computer game.
Work and school is a lame excuse, eveyone has responsibilities if you're that time crucnhed stop playing games and get your work done.
A 4 min wait in a game aint gonna kill you. (Actually its a bleed out timer so I guess it does kill you HA that's fozzy bear funny that is).
Basically this is 100% a you problem, camping, tunneling, flashlight blinding, stunning, DH, BNP, offerings doesn't make anyone a scumbag at all and to think that of another player just because you don't like it and can't deal with losing is just you taking the game too seriously.
Its a hard pill to swallow but personal growth is never easy.
-
You shouldn't even ask just play however you want to play.
If you want to defend a 3 gen and hang around the hook in the middle of it, or just defend a hook all game go for it.
The threat of being camped and tunneled out early just makes me a more cautious survivor at game start, as it should be.

Bleeding a survivor out when there are no other objectives in the trial is being toxic. Especially since there was a hook right next to her, she was constantly swinging too. I highly doubt that someone would bleed out to gain an advantage. ITS JUST WASTING EVERYONES TIME. ITS BEING TOXIC. PERIOD.
Its just a different way to die in game stop being so sensitive. There is a bleed out timer it doesn't take that long. Think of it as a thematic death.
In the grand scheme of things it matters not one bit. I crawl for dear life when I bleed out, horror movie style.

When you're playing solo you can't control who throws a pallet and how quick they decide to drop it at a loop, also you don't know if they're on gens or not in that scenario the only sure fire way to get the gens done is to do them, I personally use windows more than pallets and will take a hit rather than drop certain pallets and just gain distance to the next loop, and with the killer meta being Deadman switch and scourge you really can't waste alot of time against top tier killers and if you're not doing gens and you're healing instead you will 100 percent lose because it's a time waster, why would you turn a 5 minute match into a 10 or 15 min minute match? That lessens your chances of surviving easily, I'd rather work and loop injured with adrenaline in my back pocket
None of which has any relevance to whether or not COH is OP.
You have a playstyle you prefer and its highly efficient, great. Not everyone is gonna play like that and thank god or the game would be more dull than it currently is. COH does a little too much to reset hit and run playstyles and lessen the variety of games, its is generally a bad perk as a result.
You don't need to run it but its so easy to heal up if you do that healing is a no brainer if you have it.
Being injured should be threatening but its really not and that's a shame.
-
ugh, none of what the OP mentions is toxic.
Bleeding out is just a game mechanic, being hit on hook can't hurt you it just wastes killer's time which works in your team's favor.
Waiting at the exit games is tedious but just break stuff and spam your power for points or chase em out if you don't want to wait.
The sensitivity level of players is just beyond comprehension.
There is obnoxious play I'm not a huge fan of it but its not toxic. In fact it has a purpose because it tilts your opponent and angry people make bad decisions. Why does camping work? because survivors get all pissy and make bad plays and you win as a result. Why flashlight clicking work? because killers get annoyed and commit to bad chases and make bad decisions allowing your team to win even if you may die.
Unless every Sadako player is breaking the rules as defined by the game or abusing you post game then its really not toxic.

Yea but while you're off self healing everytime you're injured there's someone on your team using pallets and possibly getting hooked when pumping out a gen was the best option, I stand by the fact that good players won't use COH because you're just stalling the game and nothing is getting done, now it becomes an issue when multiple people have this same mindset that they cant work injured and then all the pallets are gone and there's nothing for the killer to respect because at that point they can just bloodlust for the down. COH is at it's best against a endgame camping killer when you need to reset and go back in for a rescue but other than that you're wasting too much time
It speaks volumes about player mindset when healing time is to much to distract you from gens. Survivor isn't that time crunched that gens need to be smashed out in under 4mins, but that's the mindset that players go in with.
Its maybe 1 game in 10 where the killer is applying enough pressure to mean healing is wasted time. Its typically far better to reset and smash out the last two gens then it is to stay injured and risk a snowball to solely focus on gens.
These are the players who get caught out by NOED etc because rather than spending a few seconds to focus on secondary tasks like healing and totems they have this idea that completing gens in 4mins is the be all and end all of the game.
I'm afraid its just not that time crunched for survivor that healing with COH stalls the game so much to use up all the pallets. That's just players who waste too many pallets.
The party wide ability to reset wounds solo at increased pace is just too easy a mechanic not to exploit and at the same time it resets the pressure of being wounded, when compared to the sunk cost of getting those wounds its a no brainer. Unless you are so gen focused that you are missing every other part of the game, even the good map sense to avoid wasting pallets.

I enjoy so called "bad" killers, you just have to play to their strengths.
I do a lot of basement trapper, he excels at that.
3 gen trap web Hag,
Insta kill myers or indoor map jumpscare myers.
I mean these killers are only weak because the mainstay of the game is mobility and braindead looping, which they often don't do well at with base mechanics alone.
Problem is the player base mindset that there is only one way to play the game "properly", which is commit to a playstyle that on "weak" killers heavily favors survivors, such as low return chasing of healthy survivors and lack of mobility gen defense.
If you try and play like that with killers who are "weak" at this playstyle you are making the game harder for yourself as killer.
The best example is basement bubba, bubba isn't weak in chase but his power is most threatening when survivors are grouped up in a confined space. So three survivors trying to get out of the basement is bread and butter for bubba's saw, sometimes the best play you can make is defensive over chasing in a lot of cases.
There are no "bad" killers unless you are trying to pigeonhole the overall game into a single playstyle that is running loops. Then the mobile killers and the anti-loop killers will excel while others will seem lackluster.
-
Boon themselves aren't the best idea.
Ideally you'd want weaker mechanics tied to boons so no meta perk effects.
COH is the primary problem because it basically nullifies any threat of being injured while boosting healing time. I don't need to find items or team mates to heal me because I can get this free groupwide healing at an increased rate. Being injured should be threatening and avoided but COH nullifies any of that threat team wide. Its not a great design.
Same could be said for the teamwide unbreakable although its more situational.
COH was very poorly thought out especially when you consider killers like legion where their slowdown is spreading damage.
-
At 3K you've won.
Its a bit of a grab bag at that point for the 4k and there is some luck involved.
Closing the hatch forces the EGC so its always worth doing and then you patrol the gates.
Sometimes RNG will be in your favor and the gates will be closer together, sometimes it won't and you'll need to guess which gate is the right one or find a way to patrol really efficiently using sound over sight if they are far apart.
A little bit of luck, guesswork and random variance is not a bad thing in fact its what makes games unpredictable and varied. People talk about these things like its game breaking to not be able to equally predict every situation but, lets face it those people are fools whom don't realize that variance is what creates interesting interactions.
Sometimes you'll get lucky sometimes you wont but if you close the hatch you'll force the game end regardless and narrow your search area to two gates for the duration of the EGC.

I disagree with this. Blight in the right hands is absolutely oppressive. Even in competitive, when versing a Blight it's not a question of if survivors escape but how many gens they complete before they die.
So what that's exciting.
Why are you playing if there is no threat of death in a survival horror?
-
Don't get found first. Problem solved.
So many survivors play really bold and then shake their fists at getting eliminated.
I escape not because I'm good, I'm actually quite the potato, but I know how and when to avoid the killer and that is usually enough.
