Does that give you a reason to bully someone? Especially on a forum? You take a chill pill I believe you learned this saying in elementary that if you have nothing nice to say dont say it. Or maybe you didn't either way grow up. You seem educated so maybe use your brain and read the situation. RUDE.

I'm not bullying anyone anymore than what other ppl engage with.

Factual reality offends certain ppl who dreams of living in a fairytale ponyland.

Again, if u have to get worked up by some texts on a screen, u really have to grow a thicker skin.

That being said it is a headache for many people he literally seems very distressed and you are being a childish troll whether or not you are twelve or 25 it doesn't matter stop acting rude to people online and continue playing your game if you have nothing nice to say dont say it at all especially online you wouldn't have the guts to say it in person nevertheless. IDK if you learned common decency or not but sure seems like you haven't maybe get therapy? Taking lesson could help also

Take a chill pill. This is the internet. If this particular game is giving headaches and problems to mentally weak ppl, my advice is to stop playing.

U have to grow a thick skin for PvP games.

Why are you so toxic really you need to be banned for being so rude nobody ask you to be rude about it many people feel the same way just because your a toxic bully doesn't mean you have to spread your sickness everywhere. Humble yourself.

I am very humble. Explain where I'm toxic. How am I rude? There is nothing wrong w camping. The topic itself doesn't say anything.

Its idiots like you that make people like me that suffer with mental health to afraid to post

The same post u can see multiple times a day?

  • Can also play mobile version vs bots who doesn't hook camp.

The topic itself is stupid to begin with.

  • Yea I agree w everyone.

The only thing the devs gotta do is match the colors.

Put red w red, purple w purple, green w green, etc.

    It's really not that hard!

I don’t know why people are making fun, I enjoyed this post. It makes a nice change to see someone actually having fun in this game and getting into the role, rather than bitching about petty grievances.

Cuz we all know the TC understands this game.

I mean if ur so good at killer that u never break a sweat and every moment u hit a survivor is a thrill, than yea, the TC is either psychotic, have a rare personality disorder where u can't feel anything including stress, or just dam good for such a long time that u forgot how it feels to be normal.

The 'fun' comes from how the killer plays. If killer does nothing, than survivors get to sit there and press a button.

The point is, the entire game is on the killer. Which makes it stressful.

I've played survivor where I just ran around collecting totems and chest. After the team died, I just escaped thru the hatch. No stress. But for killer it's stressful. We all know that. I'm pretty sure the TC knows this. And probably made a this thread for the lulz....

Suuure. Let's fix all game balance issues with perks, we have unlimited perk slots, right? In DBD perks are not supposed to be run just for fun. I want an FPS boost perk. When I run it, I get +20 fps, so I don't have to play on low gfx to get smooth skillchecks.

    Uhh... Ok. Yea... Whatever bro.

  • @Kees_T said:

That's normal. On my region, during the day, survivor queue times are fast(like 30 seconds), but Killer queue are long (4+ minute), but during the night, the table shifts, survivor queues is long and Killer queue are fast like 15 seconds.

Seems like people only like to play Killer during the day*

The only thing about what u just said though.

When killer times are long, it's not as long as survivor wait times at its peak. As a survivor, in the middle of the night, it takes like upwards of 20 mins sometimes to get a game. Killer queue is like 5 mins during its peak.

  • I'm probably the only here. But clown is pretty good w the right add ons.

I use the 2 add ons which stacks, to make u reload bottles faster.

It's so fast u can even refill during a chase and not lose them.

I've done 4ks vs red ranks before. I don't think it's as bad as ppl make it out to be. But go ahead and laugh at me.

Facecamping is a terrible experience for the survivor on the hook that disproportionately negatively affects solo queue survivors who cannot communicate they're being facecamped and increases the odds of survivors suiciding on hooks so they can actually play the game instead of just being on the hook and getting no BP. it's absolutely horrible for the same

And you don't get to say "killers like to play a certain way, don't guilt trip them" well that's not fair for the survivor: Because they don't get to play the game. the killer can just say "nope, you're never getting off this hook, no chance for you to earn BP" and that's unfair. Anything a survivor does does not permanently prevent the killer from playing the game, but facecamping is basically like dying, except you have to waste a few extra minutes while mashing spacebar. it sucks and you should be able to admit it's bad design if you cared about what both players are experiencing.

Again, what u just said, I mean yea. Sure. I agree. I get it. It sucks. I am a survivor main.

Unfun? Sure. Unfair? Yes and no. There's lots of things about dbd that's "unfair". But at the end of the day, it's fair becuz everything is unfair.

Ur post is basically a entitled survivor mentality. And ur not even realizing that. Ur not entitled to anything. Fun and unfun is just situational. Not getting enough BP, well ur not entitled to that either.

The best way to look at the game is to just let everyone play how they want.

I know this is not the answer ur looking for but there is no answer to ur complaint. This game is from 2016. Ur not the first person complaining about facecamping.

The Devs have graciously came out of the caves and clearly told everyone that facecamping is a viable strategy and it is not bannable. They even said not to bother them about it. Don't even hit the report button. Just go YouTube it.

  • @ImplicitTruth said:

The goal isn't to beat up on noobs. The goal is to get more even matchups. Beating up on noobs is almost as unfun as getting beat up on yourself. I just want to play people at my skill level and get some wins, some losses.

Most competitive PvP games as you've described face strong players vs strong players, and that is a good thing. What I'm saying is that the current pip system filters decent killers too far upward because it's too difficult to depip.

yea the pip system sucks. that's why ppl have smurf accounts cuz the pip system is not what it should be. also the MMR system sucks too. we got to play with what we got.

the main problem is that the killers are too hard to play once u get passed the noobs. once u past rank 13 and u start playing against rank 1-12 survivors, where the at least half the survivors are uber good, and 2 mediocre, the game is very difficult, gens pops fast, chases are longer, this is also where the bullying the killer starts. want to pick up a survivor? flashlight stun, want to go hook that hard earned survivor? hook sabo.

i had to go thru a series of being bullied to get where im at. and went thru the same phase as u. just have to suck it up and get good. or de-pip. survivors like bullying the killer and escaping anyway. play some matches where u just get owned just for depip reasons. some survivors will try to cream it in your face though, bout how suck u are at the game. u need a thick skin to play dbd especially as a killer. cuz everything is ur fault. u are such a bad person. u are toxic. becuz u are the killer. killer's life is lonely, guilt tripped, bashfest. u stand alone vs hordes of toxic survivors who believe they are the good guys and ur the evil boogeyman.

just look at the forums. some survivors simply refuse to believe they are the actual toxic ones.

  • Again, the problem here is that u are not ok. U really need to just let ppl play however they want to play.

If u don't want to facecamp. Than play killer and show the rest of us how it's done.

  • @Felnex said:

There's a difference between playing the game in a way that benefits you (that's the main reason why you do it, hurting them isn't your motivation, it's so you can feel good) it work for you but hurts the other player (for example, for one player to win the other MUST lose) but that doesn't mean the loser must be miserable. What you just pointed out were game mechanics, ways the game was meant to be played. I define "making their game miserable" not by playing the game normally, but by going out of your way to humiliate the other player (teabagging, facecamping, toxic chat)

Teabagging and toxic chat is not gameplay. That's online harrassment mostly survivors do.

Facecamping is a strategic gameplay. The Devs have defended this very clearly. Why do u think insidious is a perk?

Again, it's salty survivors trying to guilt trip

the killers to play a certain way.

A invisible "rulebook" made up by survivors.

What I don’t like is the state of the game and BHVR laziness lately, most easily seen through the recent “event” as well as Twins.

That's not what the word "miserable" means. Challenging someone is not the same as making them miserable. You are misusing the word and that's why I'm confused by you.

Miserable: (of a person) wretchedly unhappy or uncomfortable.

If you feel that word is accurately describing your emotions when you're stymied/challenged in DBD, that's probably not what most people feel. "Making their game difficult" as you said is a much better way of putting it. "Making their life miserable" means you're being toxic.

Many survivors who play dbd, are wretchedly unhappy and uncomfortable.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

This is my mood in solo queue. Even people at red ranks are allergic to gens. I have so many games as killer at rank 1 where I 4k at 4 or 5 gens without slowdowns. Survivors have been impossibly bad lately. You can not possibly power the exit gates and escape as a team without working on the generators. Do the generators. It absolutely blows my mind that games can last for 10 minutes with only 2 gens done. Why are people even queuing up as survivor? I guarantee you healing through Sloppy for the 6th time will not progress the gens at all.

One cannot be red rank, if doing nothing.

I feel like this is the wrong attitude to have about PvP. PvP is not about making your opponents life miserable: That's toxic.

The inherent appeal of PvP is about competition. If you win a competition, you're better than someone else (Although it's debateable if this applies to DBD, due to how intentionally out of control victory/defeat can be for you, especially as a Survivor) which makes you feel great. Losing feels humiliating, but due to the forgiving nature of video games you can always try again to chase the rush of victory.

"Making ur opponents life miserable" does not come into that at all. That's just pure toxicity and I think you should clarify yourself, because right now you sound like you go into games only to troll people??

Ur taking as if i'm trying to make ur real life miserable as possible. That is not it.

In PvP games, ur suppose to make ur opponent life difficult. In a video game setting.

For example I play StarCraft, in StarCraft, u muta harrass, kill ur opponents workers w banelings, ling rush, and make their life miserable. Slow them down, and go in for the kill.

In DBD, u kick gens, u apply pressure, u slug, hook, hit, make their life as miserable as possible. Keep them bleeding and injured and make sure they don't heal.

Use perks to disorient them, capitalize on their mistakes. Prevent them from escaping thru the hatch.

It's sounds awful right? What a miserable game the devs made, they should make the game where trolls and toxic players are all banned. If someone kills someone, report them!

Oh btw, u should totally play this game called flower ....

  • @xenotimebong said:

I don’t see many people complain about him to be honest.

But I think the issue is that he’s a noob stomper. If you know what you’re doing he has counterplay, but survivors that don’t know how to play against him go down in seconds, which I guess feels bad for them (it sure feels bad for me as their teammate but I know better than to blame the killer). Plus his ability to facecamp is pretty unpopular, and the devs only buffed it with his rework.

Isn't that most noobs though? Doesn't matter what killer. They usually end up dead.

Usually noobs complain about the doctor or wraith. Not really bubba.

It's the mid level survivors who complain about Bubba.

High ranks and top tier survivors, don't care about Bubba at all.

Killers engage in end game chat in most matches I play. Usually it’s a gg or they complain about the map or whatever, nothing toxic. But I have plenty of screenshots of extremely toxic messages from killers, as well as Steam profile comments as I said.

I think the person who’s picking and choosing is you.

    Could be both of us.

I usually see survivors commenting on end game chat. Killers usually say gg.

Or it's survivors ganging up on the killer and he is pushed against the wall defending himself.

Half the times, killers don't say anything.

  • @MrLimonka said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1762633#Comment_1762633

Read my previous comment very slowly.

I get that camping is the best tactic if the gates are open, but even then, the survivor that is being camped won't like it, neither will his teammates. So, by camping, you are asking for toxicity.

And if you really get offended by some stupid comments from strangers online, then grow thicker skin or turn off the endgame chat. Simple.

Me growing thicker skin is not the issue. If ppl get offended becuz the way they died in a video game, those ppl needs a thicker skin.

The survivors who complain doesn't have any skin. They are entitled. That's why they're toxic.

The problem is the survivors, not the killers.

It's a circular logic. A killer simply playing the game, is asking for toxicity from survivors. But those same survivors being toxic, and to tell the killer to just accept it due to skin problems is just hypocritical, and one sided pact mentality. That's the problem.

My inbox is full of hate mail. And I read every one of them. I get camped and tunneled. I'm totally ok w it. I'm pretty sure I have a thick skin.

  • @darktrix said:

Here's something else to ponder - those toxic survivors...do you really think all of them aren't toxic killers as well?

  • @GamerGirlFeng said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1762610#Comment_1762610

We were specifically talking about end game chat. Not behavior in the game. When I say you only experience half of the toxicity, obviously I'm talking about the survivor half because you're fortunate enough to not have experienced it from killers.

Keep twisting the conversation though, I'm tired of repeating myself.

Oh my bad. I wasn't trying to twist the chat.

End game chat though, idk. That's so argueable. I mean was the killer the first one to comment? Or was he just reacting to something the survivors said to him?

If u play on consoles, killers don't really message u w toxicity. U should try console instead of PC.

But if we're talking overall, survivors are still the more toxic ones if we're solely looking at end game chat/PM.

Even if the benefit of the doubt sides on the survivors on PC, the console side is usually the survivors sending these type of messages.

  • @MrLimonka said:

Well, if you like getting camped and tunneled, then I really think you're in a very small minority.

And I'm not justifying toxicity. I am saying that if you bring a mori and camp (doesn't matter if before or in the endgame), then you are literally asking for the survivor side to be toxic in response. You really shouldn't complain about toxicity if you do these things

So I looked at the top 20 messages on my PS4.

There were 3 messages from killers.

    - 1 told me I'm good and that he wasn't able to mind game me. Gg.

    - after getting tunneled, the killer said sorry for the tunnel. He said he lost the game becuz of tunnelling me. I died, everyone else escaped.

    - killer let me go, he said I deserved it. I thanked him.

    17 messages were from survivors

    - 1 thanked me for saving him from a camping killer at end game where everyone else left but I was the only one who came back for him

    - rest of the 16 were hate messages, 1 girl said all kinds of stuff to me becuz she Kobe, and I went after her and killed her.

She said I need to let survivors go becuz of that 4%. I told her sorry.

I'm actually having hard time finding toxic messages from killers. I'll keep looking.

Are u saying if the killer hooked someone at end game, he must leave that hook so survivor can be rescued? The mori is irrelevant as the killer wasn't able to use it.

I don't understand ur logic. U are basically defending the entitled survivors toxic messaging towards the killer, w insults and screams and u are defending these toxix behavior. The killer deserves this treatment over a video game?

How one sided entitled survivor can u be? U should just play dbd w no killers. I am legend style.

  • @GamerGirlFeng said:

For someone who's a survivor main, consider yourself lucky that you're fortunate enough to not have the same negative experiences a lot of others have. Unfortunately yours don't reflect on the rest of the community.

Besides, I never said survivors aren't toxic so showing me your messages doesn't change anything.

But I do have negative experiences. It mostly comes from other survivors.

I don't consider camping and tunnelling a negative experience. It is just part of the game. Even the devs said it themselves, that facecamping is not a offense, but a viable strategy.

Here's some stuff I consider toxic.

    Toxic survivors:

-who rats me out to the killer

-tells me it's all my fault he died.

-looks at my perk small game, tells me I'm a noob and lol me

-looks at my default Feng skin, tells me how I suck at this game

-end game, I saw a survivor hooked all the way across the map, i didn't feel like running over there so I left, than I get a message saying how selfish I am

-im told to just go delete myself off psn.

-unhooks me w no BT so I can die

-nobody comes for the rescue becuz I am solo, no camping killer, I die on first hook, I did not kill myself, I struggle all the way till death to save time for survivors. I look at their auras and nobody seems to care about me, I message the killer how that was so messed up. Killer tells me, "if it makes u feel better, I killed all of them" I thanked the kind killer.

-2 man situation, I find the other survivor hiding the whole time becuz we got 3-4 gens left. I end up dying becuz I rather do gens than hide for 20 mins hoping for the other guy to die first

-2 man situation, I'm on first hook, and the other survivor camps the hatch and leaves me to die, this is why I run camarederie, it works well in Gideon meat plant. It gives killer more time to look for the survivor sitting on hatch.

Only time I find killer toxic is when he tells me he wants to farm, I agree to it, and he kills me instead. I no longer associate in farm games.

Camping and tunnelling is not toxic. If u view it like that, and u play this game w ur emotions, u will get worked up. If that's what u want to do, than u do u. Everyone going to play however they want. It's just how it is.

I am not asking if it is a smart or a justifiable thing to do.

I am asking, do you really believe survivors should happily say "gg" and that they shouldn't mind the fact you camped someone AND brought a mori, regardless of the circumstances?

They have every right to complain. Whether they do it in a toxic way, it's entirely up to them.

They have every right to complain as do the killer.

For me, every game is a good game. Even if I got tunneled and camped. I absolutely love this game.

How diverse everything is, and the unique situations the game can come up w due to how unbalanced the game can be.

If u lost, its gg. It doesn't matter if u got camped or mori'd. There's nothing in writing that saids u cannot use these mechanics.

Are u saying Killer getting toxic messages becuz he camped at the end and brought a mori is justifiable?

  • @GamerGirlFeng said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1762553#Comment_1762553

I have personally been harassed by killers without saying a word, and I've seen it happen plenty to others who have said nothing other than 'gg'.

Maybe PC end game chat is too easy for them, but I guarantee the toxicity flows equally from both sides.

Killers generally don't engage in end game chat though. Sometimes they do. Most of the time they just quietly move on. Not worth arguing 1vs4. But when they do, it's generally all 5 survivors just doing trash talk, which is pretty standard in PvP games.

On consoles, there are no end game chat. So it's entirely thru the messaging system. And I can assure u, at least on the console side, the toxic messages comes from survivors.

I play on PC, Xbox, PS4. I have several copies of the game. I am survivor main. I have multiple accounts. I only play dbd, I play nothing else.

As I don't delete any of my messages. I'll go take a look, and write down a count of all toxic messages and if it came from survivor or killer. I'll note down the first 20 I see. I'll message here in a bit, just a sec.

  • @MrLimonka said:

So, you camped a survivor with a mori, and then you expect the survivors to be nice in the endgame chat? If anything, you initiated the toxicity - you were the toxic one here.

I really don't see what your point is.

But that was in the end game collapse. It is understood that even for entitled survivors, camping in end game collapse is totally justifiable. And not considered toxic. Especially if the killer got no kills. This is survivor definition.

I mean, how entitled can u get?

  • @GamerGirlFeng said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1762546#Comment_1762546

If you mostly play killer then that's only natural considering you're only going against survivors. If not then consider yourself lucky for only dealing with half of the toxicity.

The other thing too is, if u message the killer, he might respond in a toxic manner. Becuz I'm sure the killer gets a lot of hate. And PvP games have a lot of trash talk.

But if u don't message him first, killers don't typically send u hate messages.

Just look at how many survivors leave their messaging system off. They turn it off becuz of toxic survivors, not toxic killers.

I don't delete my messages on my PS4. But I can assure u, if I open it up right now, the top 10 hate messages on the very top of my screen, are all from survivors.

I mean, I get killers calling people homophobic or racist slurs in end game chat because they escaped, I’ve had killer players leave salty messages on my steam profile. One guy keeps leaving messages every time he sees me in a lobby because he had a bad match against me a few months ago. Sure there are tons of toxic survivors, but if you think toxic, entitled, or raging killers are rare you’re mistaken.

Killers don't really engage in the end game chat. I wish they did. But they generally don't.

So, how do you put up with it? I feel like I'm just going to have to delete this game because with the Tome out, the game is never going to be the same.

I'm a solo survivor. I have no friends. I'm totally fine.

"Killers don't message u and say nasty things whether they win or lose."

Nope, i took the words from your post. If you meant something different, that's hardly on me.

    I could only agree w u if I said.

"Killers never message u and say nasty things whether they win or lose."

I don't use words like "all" or "never".

If I say killers don't do that kind of thing, it just means in general, killers don't do that type of thing.

While i do agree that you will receive more toxicity from survivors given that its a 4 to 1 chance and group mentality makes these idiots brave enough to do it. The statement that killers do not message you in order to spout toxicity is untrue. It occurs less often and doesn't excuse survivors doing it and vice versa, but it DOES happen.

I never said killers never do it. I love how ppl put words in my mouth.

When killers do say things, it's usually after he got bullied by toxic survivors.

Some killers have so much pride that they will literally chase you for 3-5 gens non-stop. If you've done this before, tell me. Is it pride? Is it just tunnel-vision? Some will even face camp after finally hooking you.

If you do/have done this. Seriously, why?

Oh I just go on that chase and lose the game.

Later I would get some pizza and a Coke, watch my recorded gameplay, and overanalyze the situation.

I practice exactly what that survivor did, and I play survivor, take other killers on a long run, get facecamped, and die.

That is why I keep going on the chase.

It also helps me as a killer too, as I realize M1 killers w no anti loop skill sucks.

That is why I go on these ridiculous chases.

    Why? Does it annoy u?

I'm gonna be honest, I wouldn't recommend dbd before 2018 to anyone, the game became playable around early 2018, you didn't miss out on too much, gameplay wise, maybe you would've wanted the experience.

Idk, I'd like to say I would of enjoyed it. I am survivor main who plays killers for daily cuz u know ... Most of the dailies are killer oriented.

I totally stop playing other games. I only play dbd and nothing else. I bought several copies of dbd. I play it on PC PS4, Xbox.

I bought multiple dlcs across those platforms.

Before crossplay, I queue myself up while I'm playing on another platform so I never had to wait much. While others complain about the wait times. I only waited a few mins or even seconds.

  • Everyone who knows what's going on, knows survivors are more toxic.

    It's a fact.

when Ppl turn off communication from other ppl, they're actually turning it off becuz they don't want to hear it from survivors.

Killers don't message u and say nasty things whether they win or lose.

Survivors has ALOT to say. Whether they win or lose.

Even if the survivor does something stupid, killers are to blame.

Than they come to dbd forums to guilt trip the killer to play in a certain way.

I read the same complaint about the same exact thing, another survivor posted about few post down.

Not all survivors, but generally speaking, survivors tend to be entitled raging gamers who shouts insults and scream. At least more so than killers.

I honestly wasn't sure when they made this change, ive been playing this game for way too long to remember, but after some digging I found out that survivors no longer keep the addons as well since escaping with an item that had addons attached to it since patch 3.6.0, which has been released around mid february 2020.

Oh.. that's when I started playing, about mid February. The intro video at the time was the deathslinger intro. I'm assuming that's when the deathslinger came out.

Not sure what the game did back than cuz I was a noob and clueless about the game.

But at some point I realize I was bummed out when I found out I couldn't keep the add ons.

Didn't realize I missed the cut off time and that u CAN keep the add ons had I played earlier.

It's unfortunate too becuz I bought the game on a Halloween sale few years ago, just happen to finally try it February of this year.

I've been playing the game for a few months passively, and all I have been getting is sweaty matches where I 0K or 1K since I got to purples. To me, this is a sign that I should NOT be this rank. But because of how often I get brutal when I really should be depipping, the game artificially props me up to this rank that I think I don't deserve.

This may just be an issue of killer being too hard to play in general for noobs and that there is a high relative population of strong survivors compared to killers, I don't know. All I know is that I shouldn't have to purposely depip to get matches that are actually competitive (sometimes wins, sometimes losses).

Why isn't there an option for -2? This might be the most egregious issue. If I get curb stomped two games in a row, then get one game where I play very well and +2, this still should not be net neutral. I should be ATLEAST -1, it is literally two losses to 1 win.

I don't know why I'm even ranting about this. I think this game is just too hard to get into. Every match as killer is frustrating to no end and with the amount of great survivors I run into I hardly ever get anything done. I just don't have fun because of it. I dont even know why I play at this point.

PvP games are suppose to be sweaty. The more u play, the games become sweaty 4 stack games.

What ppl want is to go beat up on the noobs.

This mentality isn't exclusive to dbd.

Basically all PvP games I've played has been like this. Go play COD, it's same thing. After a while it's sweaty games after sweaty games. Ur not suppose to go beat up on the noobs.

That's why ppl have Smurf accounts. So we can mess around, enjoy the game, and abuse the killer without even knowing that we abused the killer.

Up until a few months ago, whenever you escaped with an item with addons, both the addons and the item were added to your inventory, then they changed it.

I really don't understand why they did this, most changes in this game are made to even things out, to make things more balanced because they are too strong/unenjoyable, but for the life of me I can't understand why they made you lose addons while escaping. It doesn't make anything more balanced, it wasn't too strong and it wasn't changed because killers had an issue with survivors keeping their addons. It's simply a change that's supposed to directly make the game more grindy and boring. Yes, I understand that a reasoning for this change would be consistency, because killers lose addons as well, but I don't see why this would be needed.

If someone gets a benefit that simply is nice for them and doesn't harm anyone, and the other side doesn't get said thing, shouldn't we simply be happy that at least someone has the benefit instead of no one having it and removing it for everyone?

"Up until a few months ago, whenever you escaped with an item with addons, both the addons and the item were added to your inventory, then they changed it"

When was this? I been playing since the pandemic started, I never got to keep any add ons after I escaped. I only kept the item itself, but never the add on.

What do u mean few months ago?

I'm doing no such thing, trying to "hardcore guilt trip killers". It's no secret that being face camped completely takes the fun out of the game. Quite literally, the survivor has 0 chance to PLAY the game. If you feel guilty when people discuss ways to make face camping less horrible for the survivor, i.e. credit for objectives their teammates get while hooked (similar to how it works for chases, or maybe something like the distraction / protection points survivors can get), that is on nobody but you.

At no point in this post did I ever shame killer players for camping. If I die on second hook because my teammates were well pressured, that's just how it is. If I die on first hook because I was hooked last or something, that still sucks but okay. If I lead the killer on a decent chase and get face camped to death from that from the very start of the game, that killer prevented me literally from playing the game past that first chase. To make that process less frustrating, for myself and for anyone who's ever been in that situation (whether the killer is acting "malicious" or not), I want to discuss changes that could be made, not necessarily that impact gameplay, but that punish the survivor less for a situation completely beyond their control.

"If I lead the killer on a decent chase and get face camped to death from that from the very start of the game, that killer prevented me literally from playing the game past that first chase."

Yea. That's how it is.... U totally deserve to die. U might of been having fun, imagine the frustration the killer went thru. Why do u gotta piss the killer off like that? Just stand still and get hit. If not, ur gonna get facecamped. Why are u so entitled?

"Quite literally, the survivor has 0 chance to PLAY the game."

If u are in the game, even if ur slugged, on hook, working on gens, running around for no reason, u are still "playing" the game. There is no such thing as ZERO chance of playing the game.

"not necessarily that impact gameplay, but that punish the survivor less for a situation completely beyond their control."

By ur definition of being punished. Everyone who plays dbd is being punished. Whatever ur trying to do here, will impact gameplay. U say ur not, but ur goal is to change the way, someone else plays the game.

Better way to look at it is, nobody is being punished. Ppl are just playing the game. There is no fair or unfair. There is no, I am not playing becuz I'm slugged, or being facecamped.

The game doesn't owe u anything. Game does not guarantee to give u "fun". And it will never be "fun" for everyone.

Death, is not an escape ....

  • Thank u! Finally someone agrees that the game being unbalanced is totally fine. The game is great becuz of these things.

I thought I was the only one here. Too many ppl are selfish, entitled, and/or hypocritical.

You realize you're talking about a game, right? I don't think it's right to say "The game is not always fun, most of the time it's frustrating". That really makes me question where you're coming from.

"Am I having fun" is a fair question. Playing video games emotionless just sounds like hardcore gamer stuff that I honestly don't think many people want to relate to.

Mitigating the necessity for boring things like slugging/camping/tunneling would be great for the game overall.

U do realize dbd is a frustrating game right?

It is also a PvP game. Which means 1 of the goal is to make ur opponents life miserable as possible.

Which means if ur a emotional person. U will get worked up.

And getting worked up over a video game is stupid.

U cannot make someone play a certain way for ur own selfish enjoyment. U do u.

  • Camping, tunnelling, and slugging is not the issue. The issue is the mentality of entitled survivors.

This game is not always fun, most of the time it's frustrating.

Hardcore guilt tripping killers on forums is toxic.

    Just leave killers alone.

The real issue is, survivors think they deserve 3 hooks per game. Than it's 'fair'. Otherwise it's toxic.

Too many ppl play dbd w their emotions. And get their feelings hurt. And that right there, is the real problem.
