Dude come on, let's be real. I play both sides and a key escape is pretty rare if you play well and understand how the hatch spawn works. Most of the time it just gets one guy out at the end and you get 3 other kills. And survivor perks are nowhere near the strength of Ruin/Undying/Tinkerer on a strong killer unless they're amazing at looping to go with it. Unless you tunnel hard, just hold W at loops, and eat every DS I guess, in which case you deserve to lose and a key wasn't going to change that.
Compare that to killers who want the survivors to have a miserable time and bring in iri head infantry belt Huntress or Spirits doing first hook moris.
Killer is suppose to be OP. U cannot compare like that.

if you need a mori to win your games you don't need to be playing
But we need killers. We don't need survivors.

All models of XBox? I hope not... 😫
Well... All the Xbox one models. I have Xbox one and one x. It happens all the time.
I saw other users who has the one s say it freezes on them too.
That's why I just play on my ps4. And sometimes on PC.

and this is why there are so many threads complaining about camping. The survivor's don't see the other end of the spectrum. They unhook, see the killer is upstairs and they assume he was sitting there waiting for the save. They don't consider the possibility that they made a mistake by rescuing too early. The killer wasn't far away or maybe the killer saw your tracks and came back. Which dev said your not allowed to hit someone who was pulled off a hook? Answer, no one.
Survivors, a word of advice. If your teammate isn't near stage 2 or about to die on the hook. It's okay to wait a bit just to make sure it's safe to make a rescue.
I had to upload videos of my side of the match to convince survivors that I didn't tunnel after series of anger and accusations. After they saw the video from my side, 1 guy told me that he was wrong, and that I didn't camp or tunnel. The other 2 survivors didn't want to talk to me after.

I disagree. Camping is when you stay near the hook deliberately waiting for the save. I did not stick around with the intent of coming back. I left with the intent of resuming the hunt and the save was made while I was still nearby. It's not camping if you unhook in the killer's face.
Yes u are right becuz of the difference in the intent. But survivors won't look at it like that. And thus will claim u were proxy camping. Regardless of intent. The motion is the same.
-
Becareful what u wish for. If implemented, it won't be the way u thought it would be. And u wish u could go back ...
-
Should just leave it alone.
-
Also those basement hooks don't disappear. U want to keep as many hooks on the map as possible. Especially for the end game collapse.
Also, is this a troll thread?
-
@EvilJoshy said:

I wouldn't say that. If it's nearby I put people in the basement for the hell of it. Mainly because "if" I come back I will likely catch them leaving the basement. Unless it's during the EGC, the gates are open and you have no means of downing another survivor before they escape. Your better off hooking and then go hunting.
Say I put someone in the basement and I leave. I didn't get far, I haven't found another person yet and the save was made. So I decide to go back to the basement and I might find 2 people. As far as I am concerned that is not camping. I left, the save was made while I was still close by and there was no one else for me to chase.
Thats Proxy camping.

If a killer tries to be nice, he will be kicked in the teeth.
BHVR has a bad habit of leaving large quantities of overpowered survivor gameplay elements in place for extended periods of time, only weaning them off slowly.
Due to constantly having to fight a torrential downpour of bullshit, this fosters a somewhat skilled, but HIGHLY SPITEFUL killer playerbase.
They know exactly what they need to do to win, and they dislike the opposing side just enough that they don't care if they have a good time.
On the other side, the constant availability of extra chance has raised a largely unskilled survivor playerbase that doesn't know they're unskilled.
They'll run a full squad of DS Unbreakable DH Adrenaline against a No Add-on Wraith on Haddonfield, act like they're the best players in the world when "only two" of them die, and the spout nonsense on the forums about how "Actually, DS is necessary because tunnel bad".
This is exactly how things are. That's also why I get swarms of hate messages from survivors. But hardly ever from killer. The dumb responses to this post is unbelievable.

There's a lot of stress around here, and I reckon it's time for everyone to calm themselves down. I believe that the devs are trying to solve the large amount of bugs rn, so we should show patience since fixing bugs isn't easy at all. They need to find em, recreate them and figure out a solution about em, which is not gonna be easy. The game's code is already pretty complex, so I wouldn't just call them bad programmers.
But hey, that's just my opinion. If you're mad about whatever is going on with the new chapter you shouldn't keep posting the same ######### over and over again on the forums since I think that they got your message. Positive reinforcement is way better than complaining in the forums.
I been waiting for bug fix since I started the game. How long do I need to wait?

How many games out of 100 do you see 3 gens done in 80 seconds?
1 or 2 maybe?
Again, games are meant to be fun for everyone. Thats not going to always happen. But do I need to have nights where maybe 1 game out of 5 is fun? Nah. And again that's on some of these killers that feel like they need their ego placated against a group of solos. Woo. Fun.
"games are meant to be fun for everyone"
Not dead by daylight. Dead by daylight is a addictive game. Not a "fun" game.

If ur upset with online interaction, just block the person so u can't hear the person no more. Idk how many times I have to say the same thing over and over, even the mods are complaining about circular arguement.
If you were to carefully read the comment you quoted, you'll see that you didn't address it. OP said that they were hoping to get more information on how to get these ######### banned and to vent their frustrations. You're going in circles because you're not even really reading what people tell you.

Yeah they’re very rare.
Even though when it does indeed work, the survivors are screwed, it’s still such a huge gamble for the killer. This is why it’s rare.
Yea its just a meme build.

Hopefully you weren’t as malicious as that one specific comment spoken in OP’s chat, at all, let alone 100x, to anyone.
It’s highly possible you didn’t say anything that was deemed offensively bannable by those in authority. It’s also possible that some or many of the players who claimed to have been reporting you never actually went through with it.
What is 100%, however, is that the devs take these matters to the utmost of seriousness, and players who cross the line from toxicity to slanderous hate speech, slurs, death wishes, threats and the likes, will absolutely receive a lengthy ban.
Problem w ur arguement is that the devs have no idea what slurs are going back and forth on consoles. And no console player is going to go far as turning on their pc to upload screenshots to ban someone.
But they do come to the forums to complain.
If its on ps4, its up to Sony. If its on Xbox, its up MS. And they both don't care.
And something tells me that while the devs do care, I doubt they want to ban ppl. That's a lot of profit lost.

Exactly. So I posted this hoping to get more info about how to take further action against theses people and to showcase the anger this game can cause when played by the wrong people. The wrong people being those who blatantly break the rules of agreement that everyone signed when playing the game, whom should all be banned and not allowed to play the game anymore. Why are you even trying to argue this?
No one signed any rules. If ur upset with online interaction, just block the person so u can't hear the person no more. Idk how many times I have to say the same thing over and over, even the mods are complaining about circular arguement.

Idk. But I'll take the 10k BP. Thanks devs. Keep doing what ur doing and ignore the complainers.

The most common toxic killer stereotype is of course Insidious basement bubba. However, I rarely come across a Bubba like this and have come across a lot more body-blocking wraiths than them. Could their population have been greatly exaggerated?
The purpose of the exageration is to convince the devs to do something about camping. Entitled survivors have a loud voice. And they have made it clear, there should be some kind of barrier to block killers from camping.
Insidious Basement bubba camping is so rare. The only time I came across one was when I tried it myself.

The rule about not sending death threats. Literally just read them, that's why I linked you to them. The only rules I've been talking about all this time have been the real rules, the ones defined by the developers.
I'm pretty the rule u mentioned earlier was about banning [bad words]. I myself is a [bad words], I've never been banned despite ppl telling me they reported me.
-
@Orion said:

You claimed I was making up rules and wanted people banned for those rules I had supposedly made up. I proved you wrong by linking to the rules written by the devs. Now you're trying to shift the narrative.
I'm not going to ban anyone, I don't have that ability.
What rule are u referring to specifically? U were talking about rules in general, when I put u on the spotlight, u put it on the devs and say that they made the rules. I said than that's the end of the conversation, than u said I am agreeing w u that these [bad words] should be banned. It seems like there are 2 set of rules and ur blending urself w the devs to fit YOUR narrative.
I'm not trying to shift anything.
-
And this just goes back to what I said earlier. If the devs feel like they want to ban someone, they will. All u can do is report them. That's the end of the conversation.
Why are u going in circles here?
I'm a #########, ur going to ban me?
-
@Orion said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1801599#Comment_1801599
That's what the conversation is about, yes. I'm glad you're on board for banning all these #########.
No one is banning them becuz u want them to be banned. That's the argument that's been going on. Don't say devs made rules when really, ur making up rules as u go.
-
Than there's no complaint to be made. If devs made rules, and it's violated, and they ban ppl they deem bannable, than that's the end of the conversation.

@Orion said:

But it will help to reduce overall toxicity, and by a lot.
A solution doesn't have to be "all or nothing", as long as it doesn't create a bigger problem than the one it's trying to fix.
What toxicity? In terms of what? Toxic is just a loose term usually used by entitled survivors.

My skin isn't that thick. I hate bad sportsmanship because I think it damages the community and my ability to play a game I like. I always report people who go over the line whether I'm personally offended by it or not. I'm just saying I don't care if people "know" I let them win or not. I'd always know. :)
That requires a thick skin even if u think ur skin is thin.

But why would I care if they tell me I suck? :) Unless they ask me if I was taking it easy on them, I'm not going to offer that information. I know they only got out because of me. I could care less what they think or know. If they demonstrate bad manners, I just take note of them and if they come up again, I won't be as kind. I play to compete against MYSELF and if I know I won and let them walk, why would I care if they know or not? They are just nameless, faceless voices squawking on the internet.
That's cuz u got a thick skin. Most ppl get offended, annoyed, angry, and it just bothers them. They rather cry out to a higher entity to ban ppl.

I can't speak for the person you responded to but I can answer this question for myself. Sure, yes. I often stretch out games because it is mutually beneficial. I try to avoid farming because I don't think they learn anything from that nor is it a challenge. I'd rather they NOT know I'm taking it down a few notches to play closer to their level. Am I toying with them? The answer would be subjective, so I'll error on the side that is the least flattering; yes I am. I am letting them get some points, practice, and feel they earned a victory if any of them get out.
There are lots of ways to do this. Sometimes I just let them get Generators I could easily stop. I'm giving them a head start to balance out what is clearly a poor bit of matchmaking. Sometimes I "miss" a lot choosing a basic attack over a lunge. Sometimes I eat pallets I don't have to get hit by and thus they get some ground. The list goes on and on. My point is the game is designed in such a way that snuffing the Survivors fast and efficiently makes you fewer BP and less likely to earn a Pip. It can, in fact, lose you Pips as you get into the more potent Ranks. Why would I want to do that?
I suspect, although I have no way of knowing, that the DEV built it this way on purpose. They assume that over time the competitive types, like me, will figure out we get more bang for our buck by making matches go longer, getting more hooks, allowing more saves to repeat said hooks, and so on. That approach certainly does work on a Min/Max Player like myself. I expect it works on a lot of people. That is why you see more Mori, camping, etc. in the less potent Ranks. Those Killers are trying to keep people on the hook. By contrast, I'm trying to let them get unhooked so I have more opportunities to score, or wanting to get the overly altruistic if a match requires bait.
Playing closer to the level of your opponents is, at least by me, preferred to farming. All sides get more out of it. Sometimes Survivors catch on and will comment on it in the end chat. I never lie about it if confronted with, "were you taking it easy on us?" I will admit the truth, and compliment what they did right and sometimes if they sound receptive offer advice on what they could do better. Due to the Console inability to chat with us (and there seem to be more of them than PC Players) many games don't have any conversation of any type at the end. I often think that would be a blessing if it were universal silence. If you want to call it "toying" with the Survivors, I'll accept that. I prefer to call it maximizing my value from a game, and a win/win situation since every second I didn't gut them like fish is time they have to earn more points, learn more things, and SOMETIMES make me pay for it. I've lost kills (even whole matches) because I let things go too long.
The only problem here is that, the surviving survivors will tell u that u suck. And if u tell them u let them go, they say they let themselves go, and the insults continue. This is not a isolated incident, it happens all the time. So I stop doing that and just kill all of them. If the survivors survive, it's becuz they did it on their own. And I'll take the insult.
Only time I let survivors go is when I see rank 20 potatoes. I just leave them be. Babies deserve to live to be killed in the future.

No, I will still kill them eventually. I just let them play some and get some more points myself. You know so everyone gets to play the game and can enjoy it.
So ur toying w the survivors cuz u know u already won. But wants a few more BP so u let them run around.
While I agree w what u do, I think a lot of ppl only care about their own enjoyment. Other ppl's 'fun'? Well... They be alright.
-
@IronWill said:
The death treats aside, one can clearly say from the score how you played. On top you bring in BPs just to end the match within 2 minutes and barely even get 15k BPs yourself. I just don't get that fact. Would it have hurt you, to let the guy with unbreakable pick up/unhook the others so you get more hooks and points cause the game lasts longer?
When I play killer and I see I stomp the survivors (I main GF) I will just walk around the map, keep them all injured and will just let em play some after the first two hooks on each of them. Game lasts longer, I get max BPs, they get some BPs (in those games no surv dies with less than 20k BPs) and most importantly every one has fun - I never had a single survivor complain.
Some people have to realize this game isn't only about your own fun but there is 4 other people with you who want to have some fun as well.
But that's farming...

@Elena said:

They are different things though. A game is meant for fun, so it shouldn't be taken seriously. However if people go out of their way to ruin your experience (aka being a toxic prick) then that deserves to be taken seriously and it shouldn't go overlooked.
Toxicity means differently to different ppl. So I disagree about the ban. Or ur at risk of losing half the community. Which equals losing half the profit.

Because those survivors are entitled and don't deserve the win. They especially don't deserve it now with what they said in the post-game chat.
If you're mad at a video game then you need to stop taking it so seriously and have a break, your anger shouldn't come at the expense of others.
That's exactly my point. If u don't take it seriously. Trash talk shouldn't bother u. It is BECAUSE ppl take things so seriously, ppl get worked up.

That literally implies you've been toxic before and gotten away with it. Unless you meant people who have reported you for petty reasons and you've never been banned, that is understandable, but it's not as serious as toxicity, so obviously you wouldn't get banned for that.
What's so serious about some toxicity. The game itself is toxic. Hence, most of the players are toxic. Ppl get worked up due to the how this game is designed to be played. Ppl need to get off the internet than.
