  • what can even be done?

Both solos and swfs play the same game, they aren't separate roles. SWFs just use discord and have inherently better teamwork because of it. BHVRs influence doesnt reach beyond dbd itself, so any changes they make affect everyone. Ex: Nerf survivor bc swf broken. Result: SWFs are now fair, soloQ is now a free loss. So all BHVR can realistically do is add the extra info SWFs get to the base game so that solo is just as powerful, then deal with killer accordingly.

They aren't afraid of SWFs, they are just kind of forced to bend over backwards changing the game in ways they never intended due to swf. Survivor HUD changes would never be a thing without SWF, because the pain of soloQ would get alleviated through killer nerfs instead. Hell, SWF ITSELF was added post launch because of popular demand. The game wasn't built for it, so now BHVRs playing catch up.

    1. ego
    2. plenty of bad killers just focus on chasing, not realizing killer is about spreading pressure and taking the kills that get handed to you. its never really worth committing if theres much resistance.
  • Its not useless, 10s basekit bt at 110% means any pallet within 44m is reachable. so you are practically guaranteed to reach a loop, meaning you'll probably go down looping. So hit the skillcheck and continue. It serves more as a tunnel punisher rather than a denier. Maybe 4s would be good for it though, since OTR completely blows ds out of the water.

  • no way, gen spawns would get choked down to compensate for a whole 6th generator making 3 gens closer.

we just need just good regression perks. Personally I think ruin and pgtw should be reverted to their pre-6.1.0 states, since they didnt synergize and rewarded good play. plus since ruins a hex you dedicated 2 whole slots for consistency, and smart survs can still just knock it out. maybe bring back old pain res idk.

  • Obviously hope is the problem in that video.

And besides, for that combo you dedicate two entire perk slots to it. One of which does nothing til endgame, and the other being unusable with exhaustion perks. For value like in the clip you need to survive til endgame and be injured. And since MFT is exclusive to ex perks, surviving will be harder without that chase extender.

mft is fine. The only issue is that now theres enough haste boosts in the game to (potentially) move faster than killers. I think there should maybe be a cap, but not too low considering most scenarios like that are incredibly niche.

  • 100% my soloQ teammates cant hold a chase without their third health state

Oof, guess I'll have to bite the bullet and just get back to my original survivor rank, and then hope my old perks and methods will do until I catch up! Did they change the ranking up system by any chance? I plan on trying to get out of the low ranks with as few games as possible, to, hopefully, avoid bothering the baby killers, but last time I played, I found that to be pretty difficult.

Regarding dead hard, I definitely did not see that coming, but at least now my love/hate relationship with it is also dead! Wesker will definitely be interesting, I'm curious to see how his perks will work on my favourite killers

Yeah the ranking systems a bit different now. Theres still 20 ranks in total, but their in groups of 5. In descending order, Ash -> Bronze -> Silver -> Gold -> Iridescent. If you meant MMR though i have no clue lol, got implemented a few years back and has been invisible since. But considering you just came from a 4 year hiatus, yours is probably in a lower bracket.

Heres a website to help you out --> https://otzdarva.com. Its got tier lists for everything, 4 different strong builds for each killer (including 4 soloQ builds and 4 builds for SWFs), and even a quiz to see which killer you'd like mosts. Hope it helps!

Yeah dead hard has had a... hard life this past year lol. Last years anniversary really shook up the meta by reworking 70 perks, one of which was DH. Back then, they just removed DH for distance so it could actually have counterplay and it fell out of the meta... for two weeks. Once people figured out how to use it it was back in full force with a 30% pickrate. It was completely unstoppable at pallets, because if you swung you got dhed and if you didnt you got stunned. So like 2 months ago they outright killed it.

I wanna elaborate a little on that unstoppable killer meta lol, the gen kick meta. So basically a perk called call of brine got released with sadako in the ring chapter, doubled kick regression nobody used it at the time because ruin was still good but after the nerf it was really popular. Then they buffed overcharge to ramp up to 200% speed regression, and buffed eruption. You are so lucky to have missed the eruption meta; when you kicked a gen, it would activate on it. When you downed a survivor, any gens afflicted will explode, losing 10% progress and giving any survs repairing them 25s incapacitated.

So basically, you had 300% regression along with eruption granting 40s per down. Gone now though thankfully, people would use the killers knight and skull merchant to make 3 gens unwinnable with these perks.

Heres a few things to look forward to by the way:

    • Basekit anti facecamp
    • Killer FOV slider
    • nicolas cage midchapter
    • anniversary (obviously)
    • Hillbilly, trapper, freddy, and twins reworks. Hillbilly kinda got completely gutted while you were gone.
    • new survivor items

theres barely any regression in the game now, so games dont really get drawn out for no reason most of the time. See you in the fog!

  • red forest. Wow BHVR, I care so much that mothers dwelling is eye candy now while I'm walking from edge to edge just to see it all.

  • No, sadly the killer cant be assigned an AI. Killer is a lot more complex at face value than survivor, so its harder to program. Not to bash on survivor or anything, just that making each one know how to drop a pallet and have basekit windows of opportunity is easier than making a (challenging) killer AI.

But welcome back! I'm sure you'll be please to hear that dead hard is FINALLY dead, and you just barely dodged a recent killer meta that made gens unrepairable. enjoy playing some wesker.

The trapper and trickster are 2 very different characters. My issue with trickster is the strength of his power, particularly with the speed of it. I think with how fast he can put survivors in the wounded and dying state at range the power has too much control in a chase situation. This is only problematic on outdoor maps which make dealing with this killer significantly harder. I've tried avoiding the knives many times and found that on outdoor maps doing this is very hard to do. It feels similar to the plague's power in how difficult it is to avoid being hit by them. Running left and right in chase hasn't been effective in dodging these attacks. I really don't know what else to do to avoid trickster's power while in chase in the open.

Trickster throw rate is fine, the whole point of his power is to shred through health states. the problem is that hes got great 1v1 but is horrible on the macro scale. Just crouching behind something ruins his entire power.

For comparison: Huntress, a very similar killer, can use a hatchet to injure instead of a regular basic attack and the survivor will gain less distance from their speed boost. Melee huntress is a very effective way to get a quick down *out in the open*.

The key word here is out in the open. You should never be there unless you are chaining a loop. Even then though there shouldnt be a situation where you are just caught somewhere with no pallets/windows. If there is, you made a mistake and him damaging you is the price. its the same with any killer; if wesker catches you in a deadzone, hes gonna infect you. if nurse finds you out alone, shes gonna have a real easy time downing you with all that free sight.

If you want some tips on how to avoid his power in the open, I've got a few. Obviosly for one theres dodging, simple enough just move unpredictably. Secondly, break line of sight as much as possible. Meaning, run behind stuff. Dont just stop and stand there, put map geometry in the way of him seeing you directly. Even a simple rock can stop him, if you run a circle around it and play it right he'll have to regular hit you. At which point you get distance and he cant just shred you.

His power relies on having a direct view of you, like you said thats why hes better on outdoor maps. So do anything you can to make sure he doesnt see you. Break LOS, loop the tall wall gyms, etc etc if you do all that hes just an m1 killer with a slower speed. Thats why huntress is a tier and he is c tier; just one quick blip of LOS can end in an injury against huntress. Trickster has do that, but 6 times.

  • I mean yeah, a killer who likes LOS is gonna be better on outdoor maps. Trciskter is fine. I dont get why you think hes an issue on outdoor maps when huntress can hit you literally anywhere at any time. Also, if you got downed mid SB then maybe try strafing or running behind something. He shouldnt never be landing every single knife consecutively unless you are in a choke point.

hes a ranged killer. Hes meant to be m2 reliant, thats why he moves 0.2/ms slower than everyone else. Hes c tier anyway it'd just be stupid to nerf him.

Firstly, I’m seeing a lot of complaints (I know this isn’t new in this community but I’m noticing it’s a lot more than usual this time). Some players are saying they don’t play as often anymore and some even decided to quit the game. So what exactly happened?

    Any survivors/killers worth getting?

What are the best perks currently?

Is the meta still the same?

Any gameplay changes or new features added since?

Lastly, anything to look forward to?

Meta is DRASTICALLY different. For example, ruin is now a D-tier perk. And finally, after years of suffering, dead hard is DEAD. liike literally useless. you are better off with balanced landing.

Two fantastic changes on the survivor end: Basekit borrowed time, and some extra information on the hud for soloQ!

About the hud, it shows what actions your team is doing. It also shows the gen progress of the gen their on, along with recovery progress while down.

    ------------------------------------

The best perks for killer are: Deadlock, Pain Resonance, No Way out and Corrupt Intervention. Those are the standout ones at least.

Pain res: A new kind of perk called a scourge hook. 4 random hooks turn white, if you hook anyone on them a scourge hook perk will trigger. Pain res for example, causes the gen with the most progress to lose 25% progress instantly the first time each survivor is hooked on a scourge. Perk for The Artist.

Deadlock: When a gen goes off, the gen with the most progress is blocked for 30s. Really strong and really easy to use. Perk for the Cenobite/Pinhead (everyone calls him pinhead).

No way out: Gain a token for the first time each survivor is hooked. At 4 tokens, when someone tries to start opening a gate it is blocked for one minute. Technically, its blocked for 12s + 12s per token. You get a noise notification when this triggers. Perk for The Trickster

    -------------------------------------

    The best survivor perks are:

Sprint Burst, Lithe, Off The Record, Deliverance, Prove thyself, Adrenaline, and Reassurance. There are plenty of fantastic survivor perks to choose from right now, but those are imo the best ones.

Off The Record: Zarina Kassir Perk. Was reworked in 6.1.0 (along with 70 other perks) to an anti tunnel perk. After being unhooked, gain endurance for 80s. You also get iron will and an aura blocker for the duration. If you do anything that would deactivate decisive, the endurance goes away but the iron will and aurablock stay. Currently the best perk in the game imo.

Deliverance: Adam Francis Perk. Its been pretty good tier, but with basekit BTs addition and off the record it became amazing. Safe unhook someone and you can unhook yourself, but broken for 60s after. With basekit BT you can hop off right on the killers face and make away scott free. Especially with OTR. This actually makes it amazing for trading and countering camping, since nobody has to come trade you.

Reassurance: An amazing perk. Belonging to Rebecca Chambers, reassurance allows you to pause the struggle timer of somebody on hook for 30s. You need to get within 6m to activate it, but it goes through floors and is instant. Allows you to halve killer pressure with the touch of a button, and make camping meaningless for 30 entire seconds.

I left out the ones I figured you'd know of.

    -----------------------------------

Some things to look forward to:

In the next chapter, theres a camera surveillance killer that can infect and teleport to survivors with infection. Either with hit camera placement or through the cams themselves.

New survivor "Gabriel Soma" As some unique and interesting lore! Along with a new perk, Made for This. When injured, get a 3% speed bonus. Doesnt work while exhausted, but doesnt apply exhaustion either.

A recent ama confirmed a few things:

A killer FOV slider is in the works

Billy, Trapper, Twins, and Freddy are all getting reworks/buffs at in a year or two

Confirmed that future killer release may have more non-humanoid elements.

Offerings are being looked at in general.

They know the shrine is outdated and are looking into it

New survivor items are in the works!

3 gen standoffs (a more recent problem) are being focused on.

Unbreakable will NOT be basekit. I know that sounds random, but there was a PTB back in august of last year where they tried that. Broke the game. But in return, if everyone was down everyone would instantly die with the mori animation playing you out.

That finisher mori I mentioned is still being planned/considered.

They have heard feedback on the skull merchant and will be changing her. Shes basically the queen of brain dead anti loop and eternal 3 gens.

    ----------------------------------------

Are there any survivors/killers worth getting?

ABSOLUTELY! BHVR may have dropped the ball on the last two chapters, but there are plenty of great ones waiting for you!

There are TWO resident evil chapters. TWO. The first has nemesis, and jill+leon as the survivors. The second has Albert Wesker for the killer, and Ada Wong+Rebecca chambers for the survivors. I HIGHLY reccomend getting wesker. He is incredibly fun to play, you literally get to throw the survivors. Hes also a top 5 killer.

Along with the 2 resi chapters came plenty of legendary character skins for the resi characters. I think theres like a total of 11 resident evil characters.

The Artist is a very fun killer imo. She used launches long ranged linear scans (with travel time) to find survivors. If they get hit by the scan, they are swarmed. Hit them again and their injured. Crossmaps for DAYS. D A Y S .

Thalita Lyra is a very well made survivor. Shes pretty, got cool clothes, her own lobby music and voice lines.

DEFINITELY get the new killer, the Singularity.

Try out the Trickster! Hes kind of like huntress, but more about chaining a flurry of knives to shred through health states. Hes not the best killer, but hes pretty cool.

The dredge has a VERY unique design, along with some unique gameplay.

    ----------------------------------------

If you quit in chapter 18, I think you will be very happy with everything thats changed since then.

  • your username tells me all I need to know about how useless your takes are.

  • The MMR isnt great, sorry its matching you like that.

but heres my advice: you probably won't be getting a 2k without tunneling if everyones great. just play for pallet breaks and stuff and tunnel and you will get at least 1 kill.

  • @Mooks said:

Yay! Finally a dev respond on this and it’s even a positive one!

wait.. but wouldn’t that mean that accessibility settings are not solely for survivor side? (Because colorblind mode hasn’t already deconfirmed that stupid assumption)

thats such a dumb assumption people make lol.

  • its probably just simpler to send out the small changes with the big ones. Im no expert but if every bugfix was its own patch I'd imagine there'd be some kind of complications. Like maybe whoevers in charge of implementing and sending out patches would be spending time off of the main stuff to send out a small bugfix.

plus if its a perk breaking the game they can just killswitch it and send out the fix with a big patch like they are now. I'd imagine if there was a bug preventing killers from hooking then that would be fixed ASAP since you cant just killswitch hooking.

  • pretty self explanatory really.

Survivors core skill comes from looping, staying in a small area to conserve resources.

Placing a drone means you either stop looping and W away, or get exposed and go down earlier. So either an artificially fast chase or waste more resources.

not to mention the 3 gen. Normal killers will eventually lose the 3gen, after getting some hooks and stuff. But SM can justhold it start to finish. If you work on the gens, she knows and you get exposed. If you cleanse the drones, she knows where you are for 30s and gets a speed boost. So if you cleanse all the drones, everyone is on her radar AND she patrols faster/wins chases quicker. Most people I see just dont cleanse or heal. Because if you cleanse it while injured she knows where you are and can down you in one hit, and if you dont she still knows where you are and can down you in one it except you dont waste time cleansing or healing. You just deal with constantly being instadown while she optimizes her patrol thanks to her iphone 5 radar.

  • Balanced perk, especially helpful in soloQ. I personally don't like it bc I feel it dumbs you down a little, since it gives you all the pathing you need.

only issue with it is how you can chain 8 pallets because windows showed you where they are

  • @Nathan13 said:

There’s no such thing as “gen rushing” I don’t like when people use that term.

there absolutely is. saying its not is like saying tunneling isnt real because the killers just getting hooks to win. If survivors bring a bunch of toolboxes and gen speed perks and addons, then the speeds are unfun and uncounterable for the killer. a 30s solo gen is possible and for sure constitutes gen rushing.

thats what I consider gen rushing at least. some idiots will just go "omg survivors doing gens!?!?!? unfair, pls nerf!"

  • @KateMain86 said:

You left the survivor on the ground long enough for them to use it. Thats on you. Never thought I'd see someone complain about a perk that only works if you let it work.

first point is good, second point = "eruption was balanced, just dont go down or wait it out"

  • @Spirit_IsTheBest said:

Freddy in his current state is very stale and rather boring in gameplay, but with the Q&A and him being confirmed to be getting changes (a rework even), that makes things exciting.

To the community, how would you change him?

    Have fun sharing! 😃

Definitely lower the cooldown on his TP. Remove dream snares entirely, bring back pulling people into the dream. but this time you dont get slowed or anything after the fact. maybe give him a special power in a the dream world, like walking through walls on a cooldown or something idk

    It's also not that strong

    fair enough lol

on most tier lists I see it pretty high up, might just be the ones im seeing

  • @Pulsar said:

    Feel better?

god forbid I get annoyed that one of the strongest perks in the game is braindead skilless.

  • is wrong --> gets told you are wrong ---> mocks commenter, provides no counterpoints

if you are losing to slugging outside of the final 2 you just suck.

  • @TheycallmeLix said:

Medkits already got nerfed, so now you go to the next item and start complaining about toolboxes being OP/broken..

While we still have Blight and Spirit with the OP addons and still not being looked into and Bubba,Huntress and Infinite Tier 3 Myers facecamping and nothing you can do about it. So we have much bigger problems then you Killers getting ‘genrushed’ every game, I’ve seen good Killers still get a earned 4k then most Killers that play scummy and still get a 4k with being toxic to us. So let’s nerf some Killer addons first and camping and tunneling, then we move on to genrushing with toolboxes

    • People are complaining about blights addons
    • camping is literally getting removed from the game so stop complaining
    • "genrush" in quotations? its the killer equivalent of getting tunneled. Uninteractive, uncounterable and boring.
    • tunneling isnt toxic, its just an overpowered strategy. Its god awful annoying but god forbid people play to win, wanting to win is so toxic. but yeah nerf tunneling
    • addons are absolutely not as pressing an issue as gen speeds.

survivors getting nerfed more because survivors the stronger role right now.

  • @BarnesFlam said:

Boooo, it was a great step forward against slugging.

I played on that PTB and while I adored never being slugged for the 4k again it did kinda break killer, probably for the best. maybe base UB when theirs 2 left.

  • people make mistakes yknow, idk how SM made it through concept but mistakes were made

  • Yes, because clearly a well explained point is immediately useless because i used the work inherently. get a grip. if you know nothing about this game then thats on you, actually explain you side instead of going "killer getting 4 downs is op!"

  • hell yeah facecamp that elodie its endgame the survivor rulebook doesnt apply here

  • I mean thats why they named huntress anna

    anna-trocious hitbox

    *badum ching*

but seriously no. huntress of all killers needs no nerfs.

  • I mean, what they said is pretty true. If everyone ends up down its because everyone made a mistake. Unless everyone was injured, and everyone was in the same place and everyone was against nurse than its near totally on the survivors. Like do you think everyone gets 4 slugged because wesker got one guy, walked across the map and chased 2 more for 2 minutes before he finally went and got the last one? No, unless everyone is in the same general region and is playing in a way that gives the killer the opportunity to down them quickly then 4slugs dont happen.

  • @betelgeuseyes said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3448118#Comment_3448118

But you don't even need to hook them at all. You can go up by simply downing and letting them bleed out. How can you honestly not see the imbalance of that?

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3448119#Comment_3448119

Right, so once the last gen is done, the game should just end?

Theres no imbalance, because going for slugs is inherently throwing by doing it constantly. Unless you get a 4 down situation, which takes skill, then they arent getting bled. And besides if they werent gonna get bled out then the killer would just hook them all and they'd die anyway.

Ok, your legs must hurt from jumping to so many conclusions. How did you even get that idea from what I said? All I said was it isnt fair all survivors should have to escape. Thats inconsistent. Thats unreasonable and that is prevented by things out of your control and individual skill. Hence, it shouldnt be that way.

I mean, that's what survivors says to killers when we say that nerf gen perks is unhealthy and here we are, in a boring gen rush meta where killers barely interact with survivors that are actively avoiding chases as hard as humanly possible.

Git gud is a two way street I guess.

Welcome to SM and Knight doing 3 gens because that's how you counter gen rushes, deal with it.

genrushing? just git gud, gens getting finished it 20s is completely balanced and counterable and also super fun and interactive for both sides.

  • or maybe it just shouldnt be that all survivors have to escape

I dont think that perk is meta. Its good but not s tier. Otz also said that ds was still good and i really disagree with that one

eh ds is only bad against the mobile killers. Like, yeah a nurse is gonna down you like it never happened. But even a blight is gonna have to deal with it. 10s of endurance offhook+moving t 4.4m/s means any pallet within 44m of the hook can be reached before it runs out. Since you are injured you will go down kinda fast, but even a regular pallet loop can be looped hard enough that committing to the tunnels a waste of time.

For example, after the unhook you get to a basic pallet loop. You are being chased, after ~20s the pallet goes down. Still has to break, at which point you go to another loop. Typical stuff. What I'm trying to say is that bc of basekit bt if you have ds then you will probably go down looping. Meaning you can chain some loops. Its just not so crazy good that its a better idea to drop chase. Should go back to 5s, if not at least 4s.

it serves for as a punishment for tunneling, instead of guaranteeing that smart players wont bother. it just gets outshined by OTR in my opinion, which does make tunneling damn near stupid.

  • @FridayNightPizza said:

Ouch, the next map isn't even out yet, I didn't play the ptb, how bad is it?

Its cluttered, more than borgo. you cant see anything. The main building has a gen at an effective 4 floors up from the ground, along with a god vault by the gen. Theres also a god vault inside the spaceship that (i think?) can get chained after the pallet gets dropped.

its also huge. its a great map in concept and would be good for a singeplayer horror game type deal but its just not fun to play on.

    no... she's not.

quit being scared of a literal yellow circle if she's at the other end of the map and do the gen.

Stop acting like SM is so bad, she's really isn't, in fact, try to play her until you get to fight decent survivors and you'll see what I mean.

The reason she's effective at low MMR is purely PSYCHOLOGICAL, people constantly makes the worst decision ever as survivors and try to pin it on the killer.

It's the "new killer" syndrome, except on this one particular killer... the syndrome will last until the survivors stop being so irrationnal about how to tackle that killer's power.

I sense someone who has never been 3genned by the mid merchant

  • @Gandor said:

Read her power description. It does not take 5s for her drones to be hackable. After they are hackable, it doesn't take 0s to get to it. It doesn't even take 0s to hack said drone. The net result is, that you are most definitely NOT getting extra time, if she has close 3gen (which a lot of maps have), are not on comms and she doesn't really commit...

Rest of the math is also about as wrong, as saying chase takes 5.4s, because hit cooldown is 2,7s and u need 2 hits...

In addition, yeah SM is bad game design and is way too good at 3genning.

Normal killer 3gen: Try to find a survivor and down them so you progress your objective while survivors slowly progress theirs. Hope you win the battle of attrition, killing survivors before the gens go off.

SM 3gen: Know when and which gen a survivor is on at all times. Doing generators will expose the survivor, and give an audiovisual cue to their location and exposed status. If they cleanse the drone, then you know where they are no matter what for about 30s and get a speed boost.

    • If they dont cleanse, they are always exposed and shouldnt even bother healing. Easy fast chases and fast hooks ---> kills.
    • If they do cleanse then other survivors can do that generator, but you are now faster for every drone they cleanse. ESP and speed bonus make patrolling very easy. Once their claw traps are gone, place drones and repeat.

Only SWFs can realistically cleanse all 3 drones and start doing gens. Even then, she has a fourth she'll probably place on the most progressed making all your effort useless. And even then that value is limited to about 30s of time before she gets her drones back and you have to do it again.

    she needs a full rework.

For one, I think I mentioned that SM needs her design looked at anyways. Shes simply messing with how the game needs to be balanced, like nurse and aura perks. Gen kick meta NEEDED to die completely bc of SM. Awakened awareness/im all ears have to be mid bc of nurse. She should have a full rework so design stops being bottlenecked.

The math doesnt include chasetime. Or hitting someone. Or doing ANYTHING other than patrol and kick. The comment actually says that the math is pretty hyper specific. I used some numbers kind of generous to the killer too, 15s to patrol all 3 gens means its a pretty close 3gen. like 20m between each? ~10 survivor models stacked horizontally. So if survivors are gaining 12s of progress per patroll, probably closer to like 7 bc you run early and come back late. but even the net gain is positive. Include time to chase and down someone, or even just get a hit for some extra time regressing and the gens still get done. Just happens slower. The math doesnt even include all 4 survivors or double ups, just one survivor working on each gen. it clearly favors the killer and still the gens are going to finish. 3 genning isnt the issue its skull merchant.

I know on dead dawg theres some 3gen you can patrol by standing still. But on most maps you have to walk for at least 15s to patrol 3 full gens. It was math based on if the game was balanced. I made assumptions so the math was possible to do.

Besides if that math factored in hits and chasetime etc etc then boom the survivors win. Committing to chase means not defending the 3gen, so more progress. If you are running pgtw or surge or pain res then yeah you make that time back but otherwise they are getting the gens done sooner or later. I actually say at the bottom of the post that SM is an exception.

    that scenario literally can't happen.

You CANNOT order the carnifex to break a pallet that wasn't dropped.

thats not even what I said though I said you shouldnt be able to just instabreak a pallet before a survivor can reach it. of course I mean dropped pallet I just assumed that it didnt need to be specified.

  • seems fine to me. I'm no knight player but if his power is gonna be that janky for any reason except balancing it should go. as long as it isnt as far ranged as the guards lol, dont want the carnifex instabreaking a pallet before a survivor can reach it lol

  • everything you said was absolutely true in anything but a 3swf; people that are 2swf/ soloq just dont have the coordination to break the 3gen

overcharge is useless though, it actually makes the gen regress LESS at the start.

I played dbd for along time (around 2018) and to be honest, the game has got very boring, the only matches i enjoy is with pigs since they force you into a nice little minigame of removing the trap off your head, but then i start to find it boring getting into a game, doing gens, getting chased and sometimes pulling off 360's but thats basically all...there isn't anything new beside new killers that people complain about alot, and perks that get nerfed 2 weeks after it release its just getting very stale, i play both roles, i played every killer, every survs, mixed and matched perks, addons and many many more. i tend to find myself staring at the lobby bored not knowing what to do, so to those who played dbd for a long time and enjoy dbd even now, how do you do it? i love this game and im not ready to call quits yet.

    thanks

I started achievement hunting. A lot of them really shake up how you need to play so it feels fresh. Besides, without skilled huntress forcing me to learn her I would have never found my main.

  • How is it boring? It increases the tension of the game, making you choose between your own self preservation or saving a teammate. If noed activates while a gates open, are you going to go cleanse it and save your teammate or leave and save yourself? It adds weight to already existing gameplay additions.

And no, lets not get rid of it. It used to not exist and survivors would hold the game hostage.

  • I mean you could just not fail the skillchecks

but yeah bring back the old progression on greats it felt super rewarding

  • nerf blights addons fr, rework all of pyramid heads but the ranged ones.

I think they should buff nurses purples. the only good one is campbells last breath. some of her old strong ones that got nerfed gould be changed into being some purples, like maybe a 20% recharge increase for kavanaghs. it'd take away 0.6s per blink charge, decreasing the overall blink recharge time to 4.8s instead of 6s. I think for a purple addon thats fair enough.
