I'm really disappointed that it was Dwight. I don't see Dwight really being the type of character to play with Demon summoning boxes. That's really more up Ace's alley.

    You wrote Ash Williams wrong.

  • What i noticed is you can't stun killer from the side you drop the pallet, if you're both on the same side, the hit connects. Pallet Stun Range is still ridiculous if players are on opposite sides of the pallet tho.

If you don't like it, ignore it. The Devs had the choice of deleting the whole thing - would you be happier? If so, see above statement.

Well you're still talkiing about Dev Time and Resources wasted on something that doesn't have a real purpose. Would that time and resources be better spent on making changes everyone actually asks for? Yes it would. It's a matter of doing something for no reason vs doing something useful. Grades server no use and are a waste of time and resources.

  • @Seraphor said:

This is really no different to how Ranks worked before.

You could be rank 1 and still be worse than a rank 10 survivor, because you can be carried to rank 1 by SWF or sheer luck, and a highly skilled player could derank purposefully of through inactivity through rank resets.

A higher grade player will still be an indication that 'they have experience' in the game.

So basicly a Time Measure or a Luck Factor. completly Random.

  • @DetailedDetriment said:

Ranks actually meant something. Grades are simply a bp bonus, and an incredibly small one at that.

Ranks mean you're winning, winning doesn't mean you're doing very good. Survivors control the matches, they can do 5 gens and screw up after, you're not changing that fact and counting it as omg i made a huge comeback i'm good killer. Same for the reverse scenario where you dominate or you feel like you dominated and then you end up with 1 kill for example. And you have a whole gigantic RNG problem to deal with so being whatever rank doesn't really mean it was a Balanced match and you're winning Balanced matches.

I'm pretty sure there's better killers than me who are lower ranked and higher ranked killers who are not better than me. It's simply a matter of who they faced, where they faced them, so RNG. Iv'e been facing ######### ton of SWF's since the 3rd MMR test, even yesterday i made Post here on Forum cause i faced 7 SWF's in 7 matches and i was pissed off, all in a row, why could i tell they were SWF's? Cause they acted like one and cause i can check people profiles on both console, PS in this case, and PC. I haven't gone beyond rank 3 cause literally i cannot do any freaking better than i have been doing already, keeping rank 3 is already hard AF for what i'm facing. I'm either extremely unlucky which it's unlikely since it has been happening for months now or for whatever reason i'm being put against SWF's. I could argue MMR is on and i'm facing MMR matches but then again MMR is supposed to be off so... the fact is i'm facing SWF's and there's nothing i can do about it, the only benefit is i can depip as much as i want and not lose my now Iridescent 3 Grade. however being unable to win a match is quite stressful.

  • @MadLordJack said:

It's purely cosmetic. They exist to add a little flavour, a little colour to the game, to give people a goal and reward and so on. If you don't like them, you can easily ignore them. Ranks no longer affect matchmaking.

A goal which is meaningless since the Lowest MMR Iridescent 1 player might have lower MMR than someone not in Iridescent 1 already, they got there cause they simply pipped more. It's not a measurement of skill whatsoever. SO treating it as a Grade is actually fooling people. You're Grade is meaningless. SO all that there is left is the 250k BP reward at reset but Bloodwebb RNG can make you waste those 250k BP and leave you feel you didn't get much of anything. For example a killer that is super reliant on 1 type of add-ons, like Ghostface is reliant on Recovery add-ons, 250k BP might not give you any of them since Bloodwebb is RNG.

  • I guess the point is to minimize losses. They can't make you pip in situations where you get tunneled, otherwise every survivor would be harrassing killers as soon as they get unhooked. SO the best they can do is minimze your losses. Same for killers getting wrecked, they won't lose their Grade they'll just depip until they are their Grade but with 0 pip progress towards the next Grade.

Yeah it’s pretty much nothing but it’s slightly less grind I guess?

There's better ways to reduce grind, like removing Perk tiers. That alone saves you alot more than 250k BP every month.

  • Well you can depip as much as you want and you're not losing your Grade (Rank) anymore.

  • @Phasmamain said:

You get Bp every reset depending on your grade

Yeah and that's it i guess... Bloodwebb RNG can make 250k BP mean nothing so let's say you worked your way to Iridescent 1, the highest Grade, and you get unlucky on Bloodwebb, is that really a Reward? And like i said you could be the lowest MMR Iridescent 1 player and not know it so again it's not worth for bragging rights.

  • What happens if killer occupies all 5 totems and survivors also bring 5 boon totems... All i can think of is Totem respawn but only for Survivors.

  • Give this Man a REFUND. Cmon BHVR you know it's the right thing to do.

And they have 2 uncoordinated solo mates.

Even 4men aren't an issue unless they're actual sweat squads. Or unless you're garbage.

If you have to face solos to stand a chance, you shouldn't be where you are.

4 man SWF aren't an issue. You heard it here ladies and gents. 4man SWF is not busted, killers are OP and destroy any SWF everytime.

Comms maybe weren't but swf is in the game and it is a part of the game whether you like it or not. Also just dodge lobbies I guess.

So i'll dodge every lobby today? Fantastic solution.

  • Hell i can just log in into PSN and check the people i'm facing aswell, i can tell who's SWF'inf and who's not. IT's not rocket science.

  • @GoodBoyKaru said:

2 people playing with their friends what an absolute catastrophe-

    get better

Yeah like they can't both be doing rescues and gens at the same time because they got that coordination right? Like they wontt warn each other if i'm chasing one of them or if they spot me going somewhere right? ...It's an advantage you're not supposed to have.

  • I don't give a flying FUDGE if it's DLC or not. It's a stupid advantage and coordination that is not meant to be a base part of the game. IT's stupid. There's no tension, no pressure, nothing a killer does is ever meaningful. Whats the point of playing?

  • Cause Console players are sharing acc's and cause i can check steam profiles, there wasn't a single match where i wasn't facing at least a DUO. 2 coordinated guys is too freaking much already.

  • Call it whatever you want. All we know is before Stridor got changed she could hear and after she couldn't.

  • Gen speed, aka the amount of charges survivors input into the gen , is fine, kill rates have nothing to do with that aswell, kill rates only illustrate that killers are getting kills, there's no conditions as to how and why those kills happened, also what is a kill? A Mori? A sacrifice? Bleeding out? Mori's and Bleed outs hurt killers progression so only Sacrifices natter, if this is the case then those 70% kill rate need to be descriminated into how manny are from each type of Kill. IF sacrifices are the lowest % then that means the killers are resorting more to other methods, which means there's a reason why.

  • Yeah because not listing something and then saying it was a bug afterall is definitive proof of anything... I do not believe for a second that you change 1 perk and immediatly the only killer making use of it also has a sound problem. We know every killer, better yet, the game, suffers from audio issues so the fact that ONLY NOW did it affect Spirit's phasing is rather curious...

Either the bug was there and Stridor was fixing the issue for Spirit or the "bug" was created after the changes to Stridor but since Stridor is a Perk and not her power then that change should have no correlation to Spirit's ability to track sound while phasing.

It can't be a bug because before the changes to Stridor She could still hear footsteps without using Stridor so the conclusion is rather obvious, she either got bugged at a very inconvenient time or it was an intended change to accentuate the fact that Stridor was important for her. Either way this has backfired on BHVR because now they either fix the bug if there's a bug or they revert the unlisted change.

End of the day we the players still can't prove anything but it's as a stupid situation nonetheless.

You're talking to somebody who has 500 hours on Wraith, and regularly uses the body block tactic to stop chases.

And you're facing bad survivors. No Survivor worth their salt will go in the same direction while being bodyblocked UNLESS they intend to get the speedboost from the Hit to make it to a super safe area, that's the only logical scenario where you'd let Wraith get a hit during a chase. I've played Wraith pre changes, post changes, pre MMR tests, post MMR tests and guess what he only worked against bad survivors. 1 whole month playing Wraith on PC account, cause i don't have that much DLC on PC, and before the 3rd MMR test i was getting 4k consistantly, why? because i was facing bad Survivors. when the MMR tests came it didn't work anymore, i could get maybe 3 hooks an entire match...Wraith is not viable against good survivors, SWF or SOLO. Wraith is like a Call of Duty Pubstomper, it's works in public matches where the average skill level is quite low and when the skill level is higher the killer borks just like PubStompers bork when facing actual pro players.

  • @SonicOffline said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2475470#Comment_2475470

He can swoop in front of you and bodyblock while unstealthing.

No he can't, he slows down massively while uncloacking, change your direction and he is forced to stay in cloack to catch up. Do you people really need a tutorial on how to Shift W? You know Survivors can cut corners faster than killers and vault faster than killers right? Don't mindgame a vault, just vault it and keep holding W to the next loop. Throw the pallet down early don't stop and camp it, Wraith will 50/50 you and it's your fault if you get hit. Minutes ago i just saw a so called Wraith Pro waste ######### ton of time not catching up to Shift W'ers Kate and Feng...Wraith can't do ######### while cloacked and he sucks ass when uncloacked, he's just an M1 killer. How people keep dying to Wraith is a literal mystery to me.

  • Only a Purple? oOu must have manny purple add-ons on your bloodwebs then...

  • @lauraa said:

I'd rather it be changed into something else entirely at this point. A lot of Wraiths hit and run anyway, so they can always just run Nurse's if they miss the aura reading.

So don't heal, let them hit you and when they go away go back and slam that gen.... Stop camping pallets, as long as he is invis he can't attack, just make him waste time and don't give him 50/50 opportunities.... Shift W is literally as EZ as Shift + W and Wraith can't do anything about it.

  • For me on Console probably Twins. On my PC account? hard to say.

  • People still over hyping and overhating a killer that still can't do ######### against decent survivors...Can't attack in stealth, has slower uncloacking, still needs to bodyblock, still needs deadzones, is now weaker vs pallet camping survivors because of hit validation changes. Still add-on dependant killer.... I can still count more cons than pros for Wraith.

Hit&Run doesn't even work, think about it logically, why would you heal if Wraith is just going away after the first hit? Just finish your gen before he gets back which considering he is probably trying to get 4 first hit's it means he's gonna take a while to come back. His invis speed matters not when he can't attack because he is invis. So you have time to react if he aproaches again.

If you don't heal then he can't use Nurse's Calling. If you have a good Medkit then you're healing yourself faster, which means you might even avoid Nurse's detection cause he might be far away enough before he notices you're healing. Flashligts exist, and that's all you need to know about that. If he has All Seeing Spirit then just pay more attention to your surroundings, you will see or hear him. If he has both All Seeing Spirit and Coxcombed Clapper, silent bell, then he has to make sure he isn't noticed or his aproach means nothing so just use your eyes, plus if he is using that combo his uncloacking is really goddamn slow so even if you get hit and you get injured that's alright, you have the advantage in chase, go for vaults.

I have no idea why people keep complaining about Wraith. You must be playing without sounds and eyes closed honestly.

I've played solely Wraith for 1 month just before the 3rd MMR test and when the MMR test came i got demolished every single time, which only proves i was facing incompetent survivors before the test and got High MMR because of that and only during the test did i face decent survviors and i got absolutly fcked, i could barely get hooks. Hit&Run didn't work, like it obviously shouldn't.

If you're getting demolished by a Wraith then Survivor team is trash.

They actually did test RE on Consoles, as in the Patch Notes, there were known issues for Xbox One.

Not sure if it's better or worse that they did test it and pushed it out anyway.

Well whatever problem they had was definetly not enough to cause concern then or it was and it was ignored. Either way we're still in the Dark since thye don't communicate that stuff.

  • @KweenPlease said:

It's the only objective and priority unless you are running a hex.

The objective of the game is " do gens as much and as fast as you can before killer chases you off because you've got limited chances / hooks. "

With it being the ONLY thing to do, are survivors just supposed to stand or walk around for 3 minutes after every gen? Like what the heck do you want? Make it make sense.

Anyway SBMM should put you with people who you should be able to handle who are on your level once everyone is leveled out where they should be. Yet everyone wants to complain about something that is literally helping game health.

Limited chances/hooks... you really wanna compare 12 hooks vs 5 gens? You can get 4 gens in 80 seconds, 1 survivor on each gen...I doubt you'll get 12 hooks in the same time....Who has limited chances now?

  • I'd rather have a killer that can do something regardless of fun. Fun is subjective. Killers should be objectively capable of winning even the toughest situations, which currently only 1 killer can, Nurse, and you must be equally though as a Nurse to win those tough situations.

  • @Mandy said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/277062/peanits-whats-the-truth

That's not what the Developer Update actually said, please note there was an example given.

Having more balanced matches - where players are of equal skill, is going to allow our Designers to adequately see things on both sides not just killers. It will give them a much better idea of where issues are and what needs to be changed/balanced...it won't just be fixated on the top percentage of players, but it will allow them to look at things in categories for all players.

Player feedback has been doing that for years. It's not MMR/SBMM that now suddenly makes any Balance issues appear, they've been there and we've been vocal about them. Relying solely on Data is why the issues aren't solved. For such a niche game, you guys are lucky to have so manny dedicated and skilled players who constantly give you all the info and feedback you could hope for. There's a reason most people Believe Feedback doesn't matters and that's because the course of actions is always DATA, DATA, DATA feedback here or there. Want a gigantic example of BHVR and Players disconnect? The HUD Changes, nobody asked for it, they went ahead and the backlash was there so the HUD had to be changed again. It appears you only listen to feedback when the uproar is too big to ignore...

Also where's Q&A and testing? How come players are always the ones reporting the issues? How could RE Chapter have such a poor launch? Was none of it tested on Consoles? Cause that's exactly what it looks like. There's no way you guys tested it on Console and had no issues like everyone did at launch.

I understand if you can't or don't wanna answer but alot of what you guys say it's honestly very hard to trust or believe in because the past experiences are pretty bad. Even the Focus on the bigger events was proven to be a total joke, the annyversary event was a copy and paste job. It's pretty damn hard to take anything you guys say seriously.

It was going downhill HARD around 2018-2019. Current dbd is going uphill by a landslide, as much as we are allowed to hate on this game its in a good place right now, and the devs are trying hard to make it better. Things can always get worse sure, but the trend right now is leaning towards a better future for dbd. Maybe a less content full future, but nontheless a better future.

2018 to 2019 was the best time for DbD.... What you mean is DbD is getting more content now than ever which is true but the game itself is getting worse and worse. Console didn't get any single improvement whatsoever. The only improvement we got was Next Gen consoles not borking so hard when compared to the now old gen but BHVR even managed to bork new gen consoles as hard with the RE chapter release. I stopped DbD on console because of this... My PS5 runs better than ever sinc ei unninstalled DbD from it.

Your chasing argument also makes zero sense. Unless your camping their body after immediately downing them from the unhook then it's not going to be 20 seconds. If you get back to the hook within 5 seconds of the unhook then you should see the unhooking survivor, and if you don't want to tunnel you'll go for them. Chases are extremely important but they have nothing to do with camping the body of a survivor you were face camping for 20 seconds.

So your complaining that a survivor runs to you to take a free down, which leads to free slugging pressure? Ok. Even in the scenario you gave it doesn't make sense. The DS person is giving you a free down and a free reason to camp. People with current DS don't do this because it's dumb, so why would someone with a shorter timer do this? It makes zero sense.

I feel like everything I'm saying is being ignored when it comes to the simple basics of this.

    • Unbreakable + mini DS doesn't work because Unbreakable cannot heal yourself before mini DS runs out. So even at the full 20 seconds you still can't use Unbreakable.
    • 20 seconds at MAX IF your face-camping and hit the unhooked survivor instead of the unhooking survivor. Trying to use the 20 second argument for everything doesn't work if your not going to say "I'm face camping".
    • Most players run BT anyway so it will make virtually no difference anyway.
    • Follows the same rules as normal DS so it will be disabled the exact same way.
    • This is a discussion asking about making perks potentially basekit. Did I create this discussion because I'm begging for a basekit DS? No. I'm only saying a way that I think they can implement it that would make a positive change to the game, same way as a mini Corrupt would. A change that I don't think would really harm the game in anyway.

The funny thing is if you always "respect" the potential DS a survivor has then you shouldn't be arguing about this. All I'm hearing is someone who always takes the risk of picking a recently unhooked survivor because they don't expect DS. Mini DS really only effects a face camping/tunnelling killers who take this DS risk. I cannot agree this is 20 seconds of immunity at all.

The best part is a mini DS would have 1 or 2 problems that would need changed from current DS but you've failed to mention them. You've just been stuck on this "20 seconds of immunity" that only works if a killer is face camping..

Sorry mate but I see no reason to continue this argument any further since your arguing points that don't make sense.

Why do you keep talking about Camping and Tunneling? WHAT PART OF SURVIVORS WILL THROW THEMSELVES AT KILLER BECAUSE THEY CAN USE A BUILT IN DS don't you understand? You're giving survivors a weapon and they will abuse it regardless of what killer does. Killer doesn't need to Camp, killer doesn't need to tunnel for Survivors to use DS. They can force DS into play without the killer wanting to Camp and Tunnel.

What do Survivors with BT do? They throw themselves at you so that you don't hit someone else, especially if the unhooker is already injured or on death hook.

IF you're playing low level DbD that's not my problem but at high level people abuse every thing they can abuse. Giving them built in DS is just another tool to be abused.

  • Win condition is irrelevant when SWF's can have 3 man high MMR and 1 guy low MMrRto cheat the system and get a killer with lower MMR than they would if the 4 man SWF had all high MMR. SWF or Solo reverse boosted accounts also make the matches unfair.

The win condition matters not when there's a built-in cheat system.

  • Ofc it's easy to abuse you have 60 seconds of the killer only being able to slug you and you can counter Slugging so yeah there's no way to avoid the DS besides wasting time. Plus you can force the killer into a grab so that you get to use DS.

    But they said they would.

It might be the balance shift we (at least i) have been waiting for.

how manny times have they said something and then....How long have console players been waiting for a playable game?

  • @Pulsar said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2468275#Comment_2468275

    It's accurate.

The issue is that it becomes impossible to win at a certain level unless you play Spirit or Nurse.

Since it's a minority of players, BHVR doesn't really care.

My matchups are probably even in terms of skill, but due to poor game balance, I have no shot unless I play Spirit.

This right here. Doesn't matter the skill of players if some killers just can't compete...

  • @Kebek said:

It's probably good as long as it works. The part that captured me the most is

"SBMM will also allow us to collect more detailed statistics for our design team to work with (e.g. seeing how a perk or power performs among the top 5% of players). This data will allow us to make more meaningful tweaks and balance decisions in the future."

I wonder if they'll ever deliver on that.

that's meaningless since they don't balance the game for those players. Good players will always abuse the broken stuff until there's no broken stuff to be abused. If they make playing survivor harder the vast majority of survivor players will not rank up.

  • Or you know make SWF and KYF the same lobby and out of ranked play. Easier than rebalancing the whole game.

She isn't designed to focus on audio she's designed to focus on prediction and learning...relying on audio is a cheap way to play her lol.

Predicting Ghosts is quite hard mate...Phasing Spirit is like Legion when killer instinct doesn't procc, you're chasing nothing cause you have no tracking so you stop using Frenzy, eat the cooldown and start all over, gg ez in end game chat.

  • @ukenicky said:

Spirit is still S tier and I'm certain her audio bug will be fixed soon.

    She ain't goin nowhere lol

It's not a bug. You don't nerf the one perk that helps her counter Survivors and just randomly create a Bug where she can't use the perk or her power. It's intended so people stop playing her so the complaints stop. There's no problem if there's no complaints...

Spirit doesn't need changes in her ability to chase but that's what BHVR did, they gutted her ability to chase, Stridor didn't need a Nerf when there's only 1 killer who needs it consistantly and Iron Will sure as ######### didn't need to become Uncounterable.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2465836#Comment_2465836

Weaponising DS? Lol come on mate that's impossible with this. Unbreakable takes more than 20 seconds to use so even if you are face camping they still don't have enough time to use it. The problem with old DS was that it lasted 60 seconds and you could still work on gens and do totems with it active.

Your taking the 20 seconds part to literally. Your treating it like a killer needs to wait a full 20 seconds for DS to run out, which only happens if they are face camping. So this whole quarter of a gen thing makes no sense. Your numbers are off every single time you talk about them. One of those 3 survivors needs to get the unhook and unless the killer is camping they won't be waiting out 20 seconds of a timer.

Sorry mate but all I'm hearing is someone who wants to tunnel a survivor off the unhook without any problems.

Are you for real? Giving Survivors 20 second of imunity is fine? What do you think they will do with those 20 secs? Run away? Ofc not, they won't run away they will come to killer for killer to down them and pick them up and force the use of DS or killer slugs and they can counter that with Unbreakable or Soul Guard, if they have a free perk like you want then they will want to use it everytime, who doesn't want to use a free built in perk? DS as a perk is already strong even if the killer isn't tunneling cause for killers 60 seconds is alot. 20 seconds is still alot. Why do you think killers need very short chases? Cause there's a limit of time to where time spent chasing becomes completly advantageous to Survivors. Why do you think BHVR gave us Pyramid Head, Blight, Twins, Nemesis recently? they all have anti loop cause chasing needs to be short for killers otherwise chasing for too long is very detrimental. And you want to give survivors 20 sec imunity.

There's no need for killers to tunnel for Survivors to use DS, i can hook 1 guy, go after another, they make the rescue, i down the second guy, i hook the second guy and the first guy still has DS active and can come for the rescue because i can't hook him...Tell me where do i wanna tunnel? I don't i'm just telling you what happens when you give survivors a free weapon, which is what you wanna do.

  • In General killer is never advantageous to play over Survivor.

Chasing keeps getting worse and worse, the Maps are garbage in terms of size, in terms of loops and then the added RNG, then there's gaps and delays and faster decay on scratch marks, there's lack of direction on scratch marks, Iron Will removes sounds, footsteps either have sound or no sound, chase music hinders killers ability to hear IF and WHEN there is any sound to track, Loud Noise Bubble notifications are above every other sound. Chasing for killers is not good, it's still the only fun aspect of the game for killers but it's definetly not advantageous to killer.

The fact is Shift W or Looping is always advantageous to survivors. They can loop more efficiently, they decide when they throw the pallet, they can even sacrifice 1 health state in an unsafe loop just to get the speed boost and make it to a safer loop. Meanwhile the killer is on cooldown and slowdown from hitting the Survivor and has to chase them on a harder loop... how is this fair for any killer? Yes i know you survivors are gonna cry Nurse this Nurse that but she's the only one that can and she's the hardest to play, you're not facing that manny Nurses anymore. Oh but then you complain about Spirit...

Let me tell you about Spirit, Spirit can't chase, she's not a chaser, staying in a loop is not how you play against her. But guess what, Shift W is powerful. She can't see scratch marks without add-ons, her audio is " Bugged", it's BS it isn't Bugged, if it was bugged BHVR would have fixed it by now, it's intended since Survivors were crying over Spirit. The Stridor Nerf wasn't enough because only Spirit used Stridor but if that was the case then why Nerf a Perk nobody uses? Now IW is uncounterable. What is Spirit tracking then? Movement on Grass? Yeah good luck getting a hit when a Survivor can change direction faster than you, when they can stop moving and leave you clueless. When they can crouch walk.

You think Spirit standstill mindgames aren't fun but you Survivors stand still on corners and wait for killer to pick a side so you can go the other way. How is that not the same? What Mindgames do Long Walls have? NONE. Nothing a killer can do on a Long Wall.

Point is chasing is never advantageous to killers. Hit & Run is never advantageous to killer, if they know you're gonna run away then they don't need to feel fear, they know they are safe after you hit them. You'll never win a game by Hit & Run, they can stay injured power through the gens and you lose. I've played High MMR Wraith in the MMR test, it doesn't work, i got destroyed every game, in 1 hour i deranked twice.

Killers can only compete against the average Survivor because the average Survivor is bad and since there's a huge difference in player ratio it's much more likely you'll face the average survivor thus you can get some kills. It's not because you're doing well, it's not because the game was Balanced it's because you faced bad players. Cause better players would have exploited everything to make you lose and it's not hard at all for killers to lose...

  • Pinhead is in such a much better state than Nemesis and Trickster because the concept for Pinhead is so much better.

Nemesis was a poor pick, if it was a pick, and extremely poorly designed.

Trickster needs to be 115%, there's no reason he can't be 115% or a reason why he should be 110%. He needs multiple hits not 1 one there's no reason to think he is strong in chases or can snipe people from far away, he isn't a precision killer yet BHVR makes him slow fire rate, high recoil, he's supposed to be spamming not precisioning 6 blades, how is this hard to understand. Tricksters main strength is punishing altruism, when the survivors are grouped up that's when Trickster can do damage but BHVR nerfed that with the 30 hit requirement of Main Event... Anyone who says Trickster has been getting buffs is dead wrong. Main Event is more useless and even harder to get and looping/chasing is so in survivors advantage because he is a 110% killer. hitting 8 or 6 Blades is the same difficulty when you factor in move speed, throw rate, recoil, extra slowdwn when aiming. Trickster needs some serious tweaks. With real tweaks he'd be a much better killer but for now he only has potential, same as Ghostface, Myers, Legion, huge potential but too manny weaknesses that need to be adressed.

Exactly. This would be insanely broken in the killer's favor. Both killers have to chase the same survivor and they will instantly get the down because looping would be impossible since they can come from both sides of the loop. Repeat and win.

And then we have people wanting 2v6 because 2v8 would somehow be too easy for survivors. Goes to show how people don't really think things thru.

And you're forgetting more toolboxes, more brand new parts, more sabos more medkits more syringes and more BT on a bottle. More DS more DH, more Unbreakable, more people looking for Totems, where is the killer advantage? To kill everyone thats 24 hooks, you're goddamn crazy if 24 hooks can happen before people gen rush.

No it wouldn't if they are doing that then all others are free to stay on gen, it's a doomed tatic. You'll have to down people faster then what 2 or 3 people on a gen can progress across the map and travell therebefore the gen pops. You're not preventing gens from being completed. While there's 2 kilelrs on 1 guy theres 7 free n multiple gens at once, you're nuts if you think 2vs 6 or 2v8 works for killers.

  • No. Hooking 2 people at once vs 6 survs on gens that's 3 gens done, you'd need to triple the time for gen completion. That's more toolboxes, more flashlights, more medkits, more DS, DH, Unbreakale, Spinechill, more Iron Will.... FCK NO.

Forfeit button was the ability to DC without penalty we had a month or so ago.

This. But the penalty only went away cause the game wasn't and still isn't working properly. WE'll never be able to admit defeat without wasting time or being penalized for doing so.

If the killer is chasing someone else then yes this mini DS does nothing which is fine.

If your going back to the hook then you'll probably take about 10 seconds getting there. Unless the survivor is just standing there for you then you'll need to also waste a few seconds looking for them and downing them. By this time mini DS would be pretty much done. Unless the killer is waiting right at the hook then the survivors timer should be at lowest half way done before they get downed, then the killer can kick a pallet or look for someone quickly before picking them.

Let's imagine quickly the killer when a survivor is unhooked:

    • Camping the survivor: Immediately downs them and can see the unhooking survivor. Slugged survivor has 20 second DS
    • Returning to the hook within 5 seconds: Should see both the unhooking and unhooked survivor. Your choice who you go for.
    • Returning to the hook within 10 seconds: If the survivor is literally giving the killer a free down then the killer only has 10 seconds to waste. Kick a pallet or gen or look for survivor with flashlight.

If I really wanted to punish the killer I would've let that survivor give a free BT. It was one of the 4 perks in the discussion and I felt it would be too strong and unfair to killer.

I know you don't make perks as part of the base game but the discussion is about 4 perks being part of the base game lol I'm just giving my opinion on how I'd do it. Personally I feel like none of these changes would overall hurt the game and push it in a more fun way.

    • Survivor doesn't immediately spawn on a gen and start working on it before you can reach them
    • Survivor doesn't get forced out of the game earlier because they decided to play solo q instead of a 4 man swf.

Look unless your camping a hook then mini DS shouldn't effect you. The odd time where you down the unhooked survivor, even though you weren't camping, the timer should be nearly up by that time. Lastly just remember this is all if no survivor has BT which is extremely unlikely.

You're still giving Survivors a You can't touch me weapon that they can use in two moments, after first unhook and second unhook, it's up to the survivor to pick where they want to use it and believe me they will use it cause it's guaranteed waste of time for killer, killers gets no control over downing someone since at some point that down can be erased, survivors will purpusefully come to killer knowing killer can't pick them up or else they'll waste more of killers time by hitting the DS. What's so hard to get that you are weaponizing DS again? DS should never be a weapon, should never be base. PEople would Run Unbreakable none stop since DS being base is broken and guarantess a free escape or killer slugs and you have Unbreakable and still can get away. BASE DS is HORRIBLE IDEA.

You can't punish a killer for doing their job, getting a down but oh wait i can't pick up because everyone has base DS, that's just broken. That's what DS was and that's why it was changed....The whole killer process already takes imense time since chasing is absolutly in survivors favor and you still want to give survivors 20 more seconds of FREE TIME, 0 PRESSURE.

20 secs is a quarter of a gen, if every survivor is in a different gen which they will cause everyone in the match knows base DS exists that means 1 guy with DS gives everyone else a quarter progress for each gen, that's 3 quarters of a gen done in total throughout the map. Then let's say killer has Pop, he still gotta waste time travelling to whatever gen and still kick it, that's 1 gen done in terms of progress by the time all this happens. That was a worthless Pop, a worthless chase.

You can't force killers into a situation where they can't progress when they haven't done anything wrong.

Your mathematics are kinda wrong mate. Mini DS would only work on unhooks and you can't get 12 unhooks in a match, so at max it would be 2 minutes 40 seconds. This is only IF you immediately down the survivor after the unhook every single time, which means your face camping.

This only hurts killers who immediately try and pick up someone who was farmed off the hook. 20 seconds goes extremely quick and just doing something like looking for the unhooking survivor, or flashlight person or a gen/pallet to kick will take some of that time.

I also want to say not a lot of killers respect DS anymore lol I'd say if get farmed without BT, I get rehooked pretty much immediately if they can't down the other survivor.

The math was a bit off yes but it's still 8 unhooks that can happen, that's still plenty of DS time. You're still giving Survivors a You Can't Touch Me weapon and that's the reason DS got changed, survivors will abuse those 20 seconds like they abused DS before. The big problem isn't the time it's the fact that you're putting killers in a lose lose scenario. Like i said, you're either going back for the hook or you're after someone else already, which by then it doesn't even matter if you Ds for 1 second or until the killer comes for you again.

If you're going back to the hook then idealy you'll chase the unhooker, but if there's no unhooker to be seen then only the unhooked Survivor is left. If they get DS base you're putting killer in a scenario where he either let them go or slugs cause he knows he can't pick up. Killer can't do a 21 second chase, in 20 seconds Survivors will find a safe loop and then it's not 20 seconds it's alot more cause chasing is an awfully long process for killers.

If someone was farmed then why are you punishing the killer by not being able to pick up the only survivor he could get? If someone gets FARMED it's not killers fault but your Mini DS punishes the killer for bad survivor plays.

You don't make perks part of the base game because you have to correct everything else to adjust the fact you made a Perk be a core feature of the game.
