All it needs is locked DS to be removed

Then just don't tunnel the survivor. Weather or not they are in a locker or not you still tunneled the person. That's logic.
Tunneling is intention to hook survivor again. I didn't pick him up which means i didn't tunnel. I just can't find the unhooker
-
" which means it denies them the capability of slugging you."
How dare survivors to escape from me in chase
No. Because in case with DS, Killer caught you already and you just want to stun him or make him go away. Annihilating option to slug you. There is nothing else Locker DS do. Just prevents slugging. If killer is tunneling - he'll pick you up anyway. If not - he wants to slug. And you jump in a locker because of that
Think about it
-
Because not all nurses are god-tier. She's worst killer according to stats so there's a lot of bad nurses who needs slowdown
-
"Hiding in a locker to force the killer to hook someone else is not successfully countering tunneling, but is instead countering 'slugging', despite you not being slugged in the first place."
So even you just told me DS prevents slugging in fisrt place Which means you can't slug survivor even if you want. Which means perks has anti - slugging purpose
Perk that prevent's slugging is an anti-slug perk too, my friend
-

but... DS is an anti tunneling perk already...

All you would be doing is removing legitimate instances of tunneling if ds deactivated in a locker which overall is terrible.
dude just run and don't jump in a locker. You'll DS him if he picks you up. If not - your teammate had enough time to pick you up

I literally do not see how DS can make this Anti-slug if it does nothing to make slugging less useful.
For starters, DS activates when you've been hooked. The perk does nothing if you're downed before you get hooked. IF the killer is looking to slug people, DS would do jack.
If the killer downs you after you've been hooked, he'll either wait you out, or leave you alone regardless because DS is in play. That effectively makes the cause, you having DS and the killer knowing it, lead to the effect, the killer either waiting you out or leaving you on the ground, and both options involve slugging. It doesn't prevent it, it incites it, and does nothing to reduce what slugging does to you or to your teammates.
When you hop in that locker, you're "countering" slugging? True, you're not on the ground BLEEDING to death, waiting for god knows how long for that one survivor to come in to save you. While you're in that locker, now you're effectively the most safest teammate with 3 others working on generators, with the killer pressuring a SINGLE survivor, so that means they're all free to repair for as long as he's in front of you. This perk counters tunneling more effectively whilst in lockers because now that killer either has to wait several seconds for DS to expire whilst you're inside the locker, which only happens if the killer wants you dead, I.E: tunneling you, and be punished by letting 3 survivors work on generators with absolutely no fear for up to 1 minute. Or the killer can leave, pressure other survivors, and you go out until you do anything useful as a survivor to stop DS from working, effectively countering tunneling.
Slugging unhooked survivor is not tunneling. That called applying pressure and locker DS prevents this. If killer is chasing you after unhook to leave you on the ground that's not tunneling. If you're slugged you have a chance to get picked up by teammate or perk. Killer trying to hook you again is tunneling. Killers should be able to slug whenever they want whoefver they see. Picking up unhooked person? no. That's tunneling.
Idk why i have to explain this
-
@dspaceman20 said:
Whats the problem, them being in the locker means they are not doing gens meaning the killer still have pressure. Because of this there doesn't seem to be a difference between slugging the survivors and leaving them in a locker.
which pressure? Killer is right here. Will you sit in the locker when he's gone? No. You'll heal or do a gen. And there is no killer to stop you from that now He won't come back to check if you left the locker. If you're slugged it's you and your teamate not doing gens. When killer is not even here. Locker DS Destroys it

Really?
Because I've heard literally no-one but you say that "People use DS to not be slugged".
Frankly, people who use DS are GOING to be slugged regardless, it makes killers slug them, even when they don't want to. That's it's counterplay. Survivors hide in the locker to not be slugged while holding onto DS, yet the perk is literally useless when you get downed.
You try to kill someone using the 4-minute timer that is the 'downed' state, purposefully. That's slugging.
An anti-slug perk limits the effect of that, or just plain defies it, by bringing you up a health state, or by making it easier to crawl to other survivors/avoid the killer.
The point of anti-slug limits the downside of being downed, and punishes the killer in some fashion if they do slug.
However, DS does nothing of the sort. DS simply prevents survivors from being picked up by the killer. It does nothing to minimize the problems that come from being slugged, in fact, it's weaker when you're being slugged with DS, because it's countered by it. You're both dying AND unable to be picked up without the Killer risking a stab to the back.
yes. really. Slugging is making survivor do nothing and forcing his teammate to pick him up. Slugging is basically applying pressure on 2 survivors, which you can't apply if survivor is in the locker. Killer must decide when to pick you up, or when to leave you on the ground. Not you
-
because they want to force DS and don't want to be slugged im not missing anything
-
Locker DS can still stop you from slugging unhooked survivor which sucks. Sometimes you can't find the unhooker so slugging unhooked survivor is the only option you have
-
@GoodBoyKaru said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1917914#Comment_1917914
you can literally just chase someone else and now either someone does nothing towards progressing the game for 60 seconds or loses their DS for when you find them again; you should only be hit with a locker DS after these changes if you're genuinely tunneling someone. I don't see an issue.
So unhooker is hiding and i found unhooked survivor and want to slug him. He Hops into a locker. Now i can't do #########. You should be able to slug whenever you want
-
Survivors shouldn't be able to stop slugging with locker DS. DS is not anti-slugging perk and should never be
-
Locker tech is still bullshit and needs to go
-
Locker DS shouldn't be a thing.
-
No. Locker ds should go
-

The moment they start working on a gen, DS goes away. They have to hide in the locker for the whole 60 seconds or any killer with a brain will just punish them for it.
So you think killer will drop a chase to check if you're started working on a gen or not? Of course not.
-
@MadLordJack said:

For. What. Purpose?
to avoid being slugged and to start working on a gen as soon as killer is gone chasing the unhooker. So not much changed basically
-
@MadLordJack said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1917296#Comment_1917296
For what? They can't use it for anything useful. No more running into a locker because the killer came close to the gen you got unhooked next to. No more unhook-into-locker.
BRUH DS still works in the locker
-
@MadLordJack said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1917234#Comment_1917234
I sort of agree. Now that survivors can't use a locker, DS and a nearby generator to screw the killer over as hard as they used to, it's not so bad.
They still can use a locker
-
@Mandy said:
I personally like that DS doesn't deactivate in a locker...it gives the killer a choice, plus it means that survivors who are aggressively tunnelled will have a chance, instead of just being slugged. The killer can wait it out, risk Head On, or choose to pressurise gens in that time instead of actively focusing one survivor.
That's just another way to abuse it. And the most frustrating one. Survivors will just immediately hop into the locker and when killer is gone chasing unhooker they just do a gen. If you don't want to be slugged use unbreakable. 60s force field is unacceptable

What this boils down to is killers not wanting to go against people that are actually coordinated and they don’t want that. Killers believe people shouldn’t be allowed to play with their friends because of it and that’s what’s sad.
SWF is fun for one side with cost of fun for another. Should that be the case? Hell no, Killers are not their clowns and game is not circus
-
@Clevite said:
OMG and people complain that one side is screaming for nerfs, and all the forums are crying about SWF.
Look, not all SWF is that good. 4 optimal solo survivors will play just as efficiently as a 4 man swf. Probably better because they won't be overly altruistic.
Secondly, this is two fold. IF, you are facing a majority of SWFs, then that indicates the majority of the player base prefer to SWF, meaning it won't be nerfed. If you aren't playing a majority of SWF, then why cry about it.
Look, every red rank killer deals with SWFs daily. They are not all tournament level players, and often are quite predictable in their altruism.
If you are losing as killer, more than you are winning, well you are doing it wrong.
Thank you person with spirit as your avatar for killer tips
@LeleLP said:
This game won’t ever have a mode for SWF or solo. There is no way for them to detect if people are together or not. It simply won’t happen. Regardless of what far fetched ideas these forums will suggest it won’t happen. People need to just stop.
There is definitely a way to detect SWF. Why this won't happen? because nobody will play against them. Why? Because SWF is op and even if you can deal with it you are so stressed you don't want to play this game anymore
-
Dead hard and Iron will are balanced perks
SWF is not that hard to deal with. 90% of SWF are just playing for fun
Nurse is hard to learn so she's balanced
-

Maybe I worded that wrong but I still stand by it. Nurse doesn't need a nerf because not anyone can pick up and play her well. Nurse takes commitment and skill to be good with.
That only means they need to nerf her AND make her easier to play
-
@DoritoHead said:
pretty much everything you say is true...
but Nurse is extremely hard to learn. Something isn't overpowered if it requires skill to use, which Nurse does. If Nurse had no punishment for blinking or missing an attack after blinking, she'd be overpowered because mistakes would not matter and anyone could use her.
Something isn't overpowered if it requires skill to use
... are you on drugs? Overpowered stuff is overpowered no matter how long it takes to learn
-
You don't use BBQ if you don't want BP. Go play some killer first and make balance suggestions then
-

That’s not how they should nerf him. Make the alarm clock spawn closest instead of farthest

I remember killer from IDV who just stays on console, Sees all survivors and can build spiky walls which can damage survivors but is weak in chase

it boosts chances but not that much, its super easy to catch bad survivors, and even easier to punish other survs for helping them like pushing that surv into dead zone, and hooking them in the middle of nowhere, and now tell me how "better" friend can save them without dying?
i guess main point for you is telling "i have killer on me, do gens" but thats what survs should do anyways (even without that info) i wish my random teammates didnt hide in corners RIGHT AFTER GAME STARTS
but again, just catch gen bots and punish others for helping them, or when you hook good friends you can catch bad survs
it boosts chances but not that much, so boost their MMR, but not very much. BHVR has stats so they exactly know how much SWF is stronger and how much boost they need
-
@AggressiveFTW said:
You can sometimes hear the survivor screaming but not get slowed down, when are they going to fix this issue?
Same with Plague. They scream but still non-infected sometimes. That's why she sucks
Same with doctor when you shock survivor but he still able to vault

Yeah but where did they talk about this? A recent dev stream or a dev blogpost or something? Not saying i don’t believe you, I am just interested in the whole statement
They answered mmr questions long time ago. Someboydy asked how SWF mmr will work and the answer was just average number for now
-
@Aven_Fallen said:
Whats wrong with the average? The Killer will have Survivors who are better than the Killer, but also Survivors where he can capitalize because they are worse.
Voice comms boost your chances to survive no matter you're playing competitively or for fun, so survivors are always in better position if only average mmr counts
-
@Mooks said:
How are you so certain they are using the average? Can’t really remember them talking about that.
and just to add something: not every voice comm is boosting the chances of the SWF, I have played with some friends that were not as familiar with the game and the info they gave me were so wrong that it actually hindered us, also many times when I told them something they misunderstood or didn’t know what to do with that info. But granted, that was with very inexperienced people so overall I agree they need to factor in SWF playing.
They were talking about that. That's why i made this post
-
Nurse needs a rework, not just nerf. Maybe making one of her iri add-ons base kit would help

1.) They are not going to screw over the majority of players like that.
2.) Overwatch literally has a PTR on Consoles AND patches it much more frequently than DBD.

It wouldn't be broken on slow moving killers. It'd be broken on killers like Blight that can quickly make up distance on a survivor - read my other reply.
Blights attacks are not regular m1. Spirit's and nurses could use it but they do not care about pallets anyway
-

That would be broken.
Not so broken for a hex
-
Bubba. Used to be legion until they massacred my boy in past patch
-
@Yords said:
it could at least take effect 10 seconds after you hit a survivor so instead of them running to a fresh new tile the pallet could be blocked, it would still be trash tho.
would be nice if survivor had pallet blocking aura so whenever he goes pallets are blocked for him and his teammates around
-
@Klakky said:

Currently we have Mindbreaker and Blood Echo, but they are both pretty situational and weak :(
VERY situational and weak. Remove cooldown from Blood echo, Make mindbreaker exhaustion timer 40s instead of 5, give all killers exhaustion add-ons, why not. Exhaustion perks shoud have risks like hex totems for killers. If killers don't want to deal with exhaustion, give them an option
-
My opinion is all killers should have good exhaustion option and be able to remove or make it very hard to use exhaustion perks. Im pretty sure 90% of survivors use at least one, because there is no risks or downsides, which makes it no-brainer and i don't think that's good

Many games just as complex if not more so than DBD; across multiple consoles with far less staff than BHVR enact and roll out more adjustments, fixes, and changes in a few months than BHVR does in a year.
okay okay, they're just lazy
-
Consoles. They're probalbly wasting a lot of time rolling patches to consoles. They should patch pc more often and then bring changes to consoles with big patches or make all balancing server side
