I told you this would happend and yet people cheered here how happy they are for old sadako to comeback. She went from low A tier to Bottom C again at best. Hope you all happy now.

Her ptb version was fine: she could have been better, but what they did now was straight up deleting her strength. I saw literally everybody wanting buffs for her or beeing fine with her. Nobody wanted that.

  • I don‘t understand why they collect feedback, when they don‘t even care about it. Now she is just weaker than her first version.

  • First part of the changes: You will most likely always turn off the TV near a gen, so it‘s your own fault if you don‘t do it and end up with high condemned in chase. Then when she hooked you, how is she supposed to Tunnel condemned on you, when you don‘t get more on the hook. I really looked forward to it as a cool threatening feature and now it‘s just: wow 2 stacks.

Second part: I watched a lot of videos and no one had a problem with condemned. So I can‘t understand that. I even expected her to get a lot of buffs, but no only unnecessary nerfs.

They aren't the last playstyles, they are the best playstyles, people will always do what's optimal. It's not like the game will ever get to a point where both sides can't win, that's not possible. Also we don't know devs are working on removing tunnelling. They haven't said anything like that recently, people complain about tunnelling all the time.

Removing the best playstile, always leads to only a handful of playstiles. Instead of bringing perks more in line with each other, they always straight up delete them from the game by making them useless. So nerfing (in my opinion) is wrong. They should give us variety by making good perks and not a variety of bad perks. On the Killer side you have good perks, but survivor perks are mostly bad and some are ok.

If only saying something was untrue made it so. 😂

You say survivors have plenty of options but refused to give any, which is quite telling in and of itself. Of course you can't guarantee a scamper hit when approaching from unfavorable angles, but you will only get an unfavorable angle 1 in 10 times you go for a scamper play.

Also, play it like blight? As if that's any better? So I have to hope my loop has an alcove I can hide in while the blight is trying to moonrush, hug tech, and 720 flick me all in the same rush? Or just run through the pallet and hope the game doesn't give the killer the hit anyway because the hitbox is extremely forgiving when they swing through the pallet? You can't be serious right?

Also I don't know what it is with people saying this, but "too dumb" survivors? Knowing how to counter a blight the way you're suggesting is something only higher skilled players know how to do. "Too dumb survivors", if you're following the standard bell curve when it comes to the skill distribution in this game, is 83% of all survivor players if you account for one standard deviation from average and everything to the left average. 83%. Do you think it's fair that someone can throw on a killer and 4k most of the time because 83% of the playerbase has no idea what to do? Because 83% of the playerbase doesn't want to invest 30 hours a week playing the game, watching every new "tech" guide to keep up with a killer that gets so much in his kit for free?

To a certain extent sure, survivor skill issue I will give you that. However, the majority of it simply comes down to avoiding the obvious and instead pushing an unrealistic expectation upon all survivors in order to feed someone's ego. "My character isn't broken, you all are just too dumb, and I am smarter than you." Last time we went down this road, we got 1,500 win streak blights because survivors can't do anything against him. But surely that's a survivor skill issue right?

At first I gave some ideas, what you could do and there are more. I‘m just too lazy too write a long text.

Secondly, I didn‘t say that people are dumb in general, just in the scamper situation. I changed the dumb part to fit better. I‘m sorry if I attacked someone personally, that was not my intention. I have so many survivors that just wait on the other side of the pallet and then I scamper, but they refuse to move, which then gives me the „free“hit.

Chucky is far from broken, yes strong, but not broken. You never played him, he has some scenarios, where he really struggles, especially on big maps.

I think medkits having better altruistic speed is good design because it encourages team work and that leads to more interesting gameplay. I think medkits being capped to 2 self heals max is fine.

That’s not a good design to force people to heal others, because they otherwise waste potential heals.

In the end it depends, how you define teamwork. I could also tank a hit in difficult situations for my team, but no I couldn‘t heal up, because the game limits the self heal.

"Scamper haters" - people having valid criticism over a massively overtuned killer

So let me run through the scenarios in which a survivor is running to a pallet and what options they have:

    1) Chucky not in power, run through pallet - he stealths as you run through, turning most loops into his favor because you can't see him nor his red stain and he can just m1 you

    2) Chucky not in power, prethrow pallet - chucky stealths, scampers, and you get hit anyway because he gets a dash

    3) Chucky in power, run through pallet - he gets to curve and flick his m1, hitting you anyway

    4) Chucky in power, prethrow pallet - he scampers and continues his dash, curves, and flicks you with m1

If Chucky is sitting on his power, he will hit you. And his power is on an extremely short cooldown to boot, so he will most likely have it up when he needs it.

I'm sorry but "just pallet stun him" and "just dodge his ability" are not counterplay. Unless you're playing on The Game, what happens when the 8 pallets available on every other map disappear and you're left with "just dodge," because "just pallet stun" isn't possible anymore? But even besides that point, having to frame perfect drop a pallet multiple times just to avoid a killer power? Yeah, no I'm sorry, no matter what way you look at it, it just isn't fair for anyone on the receiving end.

That‘s simply untrue. Survivors have plenty of options.

I have two groups of people I play against.

    1. Where am I; They run blindly around and think I‘m still moving, when I don‘t move and wait that they run into me.
    2. Loop actually good; spin me; prerun and loop me like a blight.

It’s actually not that difficult to play against him. Is he strong? Shure, but not too strong. Scamper is mainly fine too, but survivors are mostly not clever enough in that situation to just run around pallets. They wait until I scamper and want to vault it. Then I just hit them, but that’s not a killer issue. His slice and dice is also no free hit. There are a lot of places, where you can‘t use it and when you vault a window he can‘t really turn around, so just run to the right or left. Just play against slice and dice like you play against blight.

The last part is not a Chucky problem more a map problem.

They absolutely shouldn't undo the medkit nerf, they were the best item in the game by far since release. They are much more in line now and better designed.

In case of misunderstanding: I mean the medkit nerf, that came with the COH nerf.

Completely disagree they are terrible designed. There shouldn‘t be any difference between healing yourself and a teammate, besides of addons. Also you should be able to heal yourself multiple times with a purple medkit (without making a build around it). Right now there is no significant difference between grey and purple.

  • @OrangeBear said:

at the cost of no longer granting the self-heal action.

That's a huge nerf. I always just bring the highest rarity medkit i have with charge add-ons and then use to heal someone else or myself depending on the situation, i like the flexibility it has.

I don't really think there is a problem, it's not like there is a reason to use lower tier medkits if you already have a higher tier one.

There is also no reason to use a higher tier medkit right now, because there is no difference. They should undo the medkit nerf.

Thats a pretty wild shot considering survivors having access to every trick in the book. Swf makes dbd extremly survivor sided. I don't say bhvr is bad at balancing but some things are ridicilous.

Not really, I play a lot with friends and I would go that far to say I loose more with them.

Compare stats, survivor/ killer win streaks and everything else, it becomes obvious that the killer has everything in their hand.

Personally I don‘t think it’s the right way to balance everything around top tier players. It makes the game miserable for everyone else.

Don‘t get me wrong, it can be really frustrating as killer, but the problem is not, that it is survivor sided. More so some killers (not the player, the character) are just really bad bad, they should absolutely get buffs, instead of removing cool perks from the survivors and nerf them into uselessness. Right now survivors don‘t have more than those perks that you showed.

  • I completely agree with you. Instead of nerfing everything to the ground, they should adjust things and make the m1 killers stronger, so they aren‘t the excuse for every nerf of this game. Just bring back cool fun things, instead of making everything boring and unfun.

  • DH is already bad AF. Most people like me can‘t really use it effectively, because they panic and press that button, which results in loosing the perk.

I also think dash DH was fine and a cool perk. It allowed so much cool things, instead of just tanking a hit. Sadly this community only wants boring stale games.

  • Complaining about fine perks, that aren‘t really strong, only because there are no real perks to complain about. Nerfing those perks will make people loosing hope in behaviors balancing ideas. Survivors already have mostly useless perks.

  • I prefer the pictures above. They look far more interesting. Especially the atmosphere looks amazing.

  • They should remove them. It just takes away a lot of fun scenarios and limits the game. It would be so much fun to climb on rocks or others things as you loop. That would add a lot of depth to the game.

  • I would remove that conspicuous action deactivate the perk and make that killers can‘t use their power for 5s after the stun.

It's not. It's the easieast way, and doing it means justify killers that shortens the match by using any means. It's a dog chasing his tail. Btw, what do you mean with "winning"? Make points? Staying alive as long as you can? Escape? Escape all 4?

Killers need to play too, if you find the easiest way to shorten the game, expect the killer to do the same. I'm not justifying it.

    Survivior: Escaping. Killer: 2-4K.

I‘m not against loosing as long as I had fun, but on the survivor side there is almost nothing you can do against good killers. That’s just dumb. Everytime I try to help my team or do something else than gens, the round already gets in a high disadvantage. The thing is if survivors would have good perks, which would allow to interact with the killer, then I would definitely do that. Most of them are just niche, ok or bad, but they far from strong. Also most killer just play so dirty all the time.

You folks did a great job on chucky. Alien as well.

Agree, but alien got a bit over nerfed. His tail is pain on controller. The faster movement speed after a miss before the nerf, just didn‘t make it feel that bad. I would have buffed the turrets, instead of nerfing it this hard.

In my games it‘s only gen rush the fast as you can

    sounds deserved then... Enjoy MMR

You forgot the part where that‘s the only way to win right now. How is it deserved, when it’s a guaranteed loose if I stop doing it!? I already loose over 70% of my games, when playing survivor.

  • I don‘t like both versions, but I find her new version just unfair. Even a good nurse is more enjoyable than SM. I don‘t like her old version, but she was easier to deal with. So, shure.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

Not enough counterplay and cool-downs are too punishing.

    I'd suggest the following updates:

    • Scamper can only be performed during a Slice & Dice.
    • Scamper duration lowered to 0.9 seconds (was 1.2 seconds).
    • Scamper resets the turn-rate restriction.
    • Hidey-Ho Mode duration & recharge lasts 10 seconds (was 14 and 18 seconds respectively).
    • Hidey-Ho Mode is fully recharged at the start of the trial.
    • Basic Attacks deplete the entire power gauge (was partial).

These changes bring Chucky's special vault in-line with other Killers (Legion & Wesker) and the adjustments to his stealth abilities matches him up more closely with other stealth options, namely The Ghost Face. Ultimately these changes improve counterplay measures, elevates his skill ceiling, improves his stealth abilities, and normalizes his power when compared to other Killer abilities.

Basic Attacks deplete the entire power gauge (was partial).

Except of that one, I like your suggestions.

    These addons were changed:

Videotape Copy: Reworked: Increases condemn range around TVs by 2 meters.

Reiko’s Watch: This addon was nerfed to 25% (but this effect was buffed in the basekit, so the end result is the equivalent of the original version of the addon where it was 50%).

Ring Drawing: Reworked: Hooking a survivor who is carrying a tape gives all other survivors 1 stack of condemned. (This addon was bugged on the PTB to have both the old and new effects.)

Tape Editing Deck: All survivors start the trial with a tape and the target TV is the one furthest away from them (unchanged). Any time a survivor inserts a tape into a TV, their aura is revealed for 6 seconds (new).

Iridescent Videotape: Reworked: Projection doesn’t turn off TVs and doesn’t apply condemned. TVs stay turned off for 20% longer when turned off by a survivor.

All other addons are the same.

    Thank you

180’s where one of the coolest things to do. It shouldn’t have been removed

That was one of the coolest things. Please bring it back behavior!

  • ? I mean with chucky. You want the terror radius increased. Isn’t the perk called groupie in English, which makes people in your terror radius exposed, when picking someone up.

i fully agree with this person as a killer main he is just way too strong plz increase his terror radius a bit like wesker

    Yes, more groupie value!

  • For me it‘s oni. I waste so much time going for hits with his dash and then I miss, which results in getting gen rushed all the time.

  • How can killers still complain, it‘s so ######### easy, when you play well. On the survivor side it‘s just pain all day long. You got mostly bad perks and some ok, but nothing really good that changes anything. I really would like to have some easy rounds as survivor. In my games it‘s only gen rush the fast as you can and one mistake/wasted second guarantees losing the match (without considering tunneling or the incompetence of my team).

  • I mean the running part. When in slice and dice you run for example around shack and while running you can only turn up to 90 degree.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

As a console Oni main....I am always capped at 90 degrees. And while I would love a 180 on Oni I still get plenty of 4ks. Chucky is top 5 with a 90 cap. He doesn't feel very handicapped when I play him.

But oni can turn infinitely? He runs into a wall and then you slowly turn. Only his attack have a 90 degree limit?

  • He is my favorite killer right now. I like his abilities, voice lines and mostly his size. It‘s just funny seeing people struggling to keep track of you. I think he is pretty fair and fun for both sides.

My only complaint is the 90 degree cap, which was introduced some weeks before Christmas and removed his flicks. It limits his skill expression very much. Often it stops me from trying to use his ability, where I still could mess up in the process and instead I go for save hits or m1s, which feels very bad and frustrating.

One not so important thing would be his addons, they could be a bit more interesting, because there aren‘t that many interesting ones (for me). Why does the one iri break pallets, when he has scamper as ability?

One more thing maybe you could change the buttons on controller a bit, because every other killer has one ability on L1 and L2. It is a bit confusing to press R1 for his scamper, which then also denies you to break pallets. Maybe make that you can‘t deactivate his ability and that scamper is L1 then.

  • @RomeroJane said:

I would revert his old flicks at the price of Scampering pallets outside of Slice & Dice. Honestly as high prestige Chucky since that change the killer feels a lot more stale and with a lot less skill expression, also the long cooldown doesn't help at feeling like attempting a fun play (and the game should be more about fun than being optimal, expecially in public lobbies).

Yes, it feels so miserable to not being able to hit somebody because of the turn cap.

The only thing I would want to be changed is that the 90 degree cap gets removed. It often discourages me to use his power and try something.

  • @BlightedTrapper said:

The perk is still strong. There are over 100 perks in the game that need help before Dead Hard. Or is a perk automatically useless unless it's so good that it may as well be base kit for all survivors?

The problem is most of the perks are simple number changes, but the devs refuse to just change them. I think I could fix most perks in one day by just changing numbers and some unwanted negative effects.

  • I‘m all for the return of dash DH. It was such a cool perk and shouldn‘t gotten removed, only some kind of nerf or they should have buffed the anti exhaustion perks.

It‘s just stupid that you can‘t even try to train it as beginner, because you have only two tries which almost always end up missing. At least it should have two stacks which can be used after the exhausting runs out again.

As I said Oni's is a bug. Blight cannot run in circles unless it's the PTB version with the silly new reworked add-ons (if you mean after a bounce whilst he's standing still then that's not running), Pig can do it but I mean it hurts them more than it helps, and Billy cannot turn infinitely during his actual ability attack - only when charging up the chainsaw.

Yes, because of the ptb change I find it unfair!

With billy I mean he can turn infinitely, but he is limited due to the space on the map.

  • @mikewelk said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3629268#Comment_3629268

I do understand very well. I play on PC with a controller. I can feel every cap lock and my sensitivity is low even at 100% when I usually play games like Fortnite on 6-7/10 sensitivity. 180's should simply not exist in a game like DBD.

Oni (slow) can do it/ blight can run in circles (that was what reminded me again)/ pig can do it (even if it‘s absurdly weak)/ Billy can turn infinitely+ insta down.

Blight can even turn an additional 90 degree, when he swings to hit people easier and oni can do almost the same.

  • @dbd900bach said:

Chucky's cap is meant for players to show better skill expression rather than mindlessly dashing in a survivors direction. Releasing his dash at the right time while also riding loops with good prediction on survivor location is essentially the point. That being said, it is a toss up on whether or not that cap is too punishing as it's a balance between being a free hit, or downright too difficult or useless to get a hit. If his cap is too restricting then it's more effort than it's worth to use the ability while if the cap was removed, then there's no effort being made to match the outcome.

Yes, but that skill expression also gets hindered by the cap. There would be enough ways how to make it not too free, but right now it only limits the skill expression and there is nothing you can do. A lot of times I would like to fail through my own incompetence and try things, but I know it won‘t work, no matter how hard I try!

  • @mikewelk said:

Oni is meant to have a cap as well, it's very noticeable on controller. Someone reported it as a bug and screenshotted what a developer said but I have no idea what came of it. As for Blight, he has a cap that restricts excessive DPI influence but it's kind of unnoticeable for really good PC Blight mains.

Chucky should not be back to how he was, I found it very unfair to go against and you sometimes couldn't even counter the ability as it was a guaranteed hit. I wouldn't mind increasing the angle a bit but certainly not back to his previous state, especially now that people have gotten the hang of him and would dominate. He's still in a very strong spot currently.

I can understand that, but you don‘t know how it feels to not being able to hit someone, because there is a limit in turning him. When it still would be possible and they made it a slower turning speed or anything else, I would be fine. I have played no killer, where I noticed a limit that hard and it feels so bad to not hit because of it.

So firstly, no. SM has always been a jack of all trades killer. Making her not that removes most of the reason to play her.

Secondly, just because I'm curious, what kind of crazy buffs would you give her to offset removing her undetectable and haste.

I think her drones are strong enough right now, maybe after a certain number of scans it can down people or it makes the deep wounds loose time, so that someone dies faster through it.

Honestly I have no good ideas to make her far better, but her drones aren‘t weak like many say and like said, those two effects are overkill.

If she stays the same her drones should at least work like trappers traps. Picking them up, placing them and setting the drones up, after survivors disabled them.

  • @FFirebrandd said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3627840#Comment_3627840

    Drone based power: Yes

  • @VomitMommy said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3627823#Comment_3627823

Well, if you think her speed is on command. He is wrong and so are you.

    So you know:

She gets 1 stack of haste whenever you get detected by laser, or was duration of claw trap.

1 stack is 3%, 2 stacks are 5%. She should never have more.

in reality she should have 0-1 stacks, when she has 2, then someone screwed it. She should be able to get it only from survivor she is chasing.

When you are chased, then as long you are healthy, you should mostly hold W and play save, don't get claw trap at all cost.

When you are injured, then just play her as Clown. Predrop pallets and use windows if possible.

He is saying she has no counterplay, which is not really true, when you are not detected while standing still, or crouching. You can play on pallet without getting detected.

If you are confident in your typing speed, it is even possible to disarm drone in chase, which is always funny to do, but that's rare.

After she broke the pallet, she just catches up in no time and then you expect me to crouch in chase to not get the claw effects, that slow me! Either way you are screwed.

The haste and undetectable part isn‘t needed, it’s overkill !

I just say we agree to disagree.

His comparisons are made in quite pathetic way to promote his narrative.

I watched this video to know, where the haste comes from

So you are just a parrot, repeating what some youtuber said... You don't really know how it works. That's funny.

throw bottles at the right place, where skull merchant has to do nothing

That's also not true, she needs to do exactly same thing. Drop drone on right place...

I‘m no parrat. I only watched it to find out how the haste part works (after you said I’m wrong) and I have the same opinion+ I‘m too lazy to write all those things.

She has to plan nothing with drones. Just drop one in shack and it’s unsafe. Also she doesn’t need to waste time for collecting them or putting them up, after they get disabled like trapper and every other trap killer!

  • @VomitMommy said:

drop a drone and get haste/undetectable

Well, that's not true. You need survivors to get detected, or get claw trap.

It helps the killer in the same way as survivors!

That's also not true, because survivors have smaller hitbox, so their movement speed is more effective.

When killer is fast, then all survivor needs to do is drop pallet little bit sooner... What is killer supposed to do? Chase faster?

If it would work same, then explain to me why Clown is not the most broken killer in DBD with 10% haste and 15% hindered. That's 25% difference in movement speed from power basically on command... yet, he is not considered even strong.

He makes everything clear, what I could say. https://youtu.be/vOliDIQxQlE?si=8wfYZ51bq7HJpArE I watched this video to know, where the haste comes from and he explains everything perfect!

The haste part is even dumber, after I know how it works!

With 3% you also catch up faster, while the hitbox thing is universal for all killers and they can use it a bit more efficient.

I really dislike clown, but I would kiss him instead of playing against her. The good thing is, he at least has to throw bottles at the right place, where skull merchant has to do nothing! Therefore it‘s by far fairer. At least you can do something against him like doge bottles!
