First off, that survivor would need to make his way back across the map to manage to blind you in time when you slug that final survivor. Second off, what you're basically saying is to NEVER hook a single survivor EVER because God-forbid you might be blinded by a flashlight. If you're that paranoid of flashlights that you need to slug every single survivor you come across, then you're beyond hope. I don't know what to tell you. For the rest of us who don't like to be slugged by toxic killers, it's the perfect solution. Just like Lightborn is the perfect solution against toxic beamers, but apparently that never occurred to you. Can't go through life being afraid of every possible scenario.
No, that survivor, and any other survivor won't need to run across the map, since it will be a 4man flashlight squad, that on purpose runs together, not even trying to split up. Good luck hooking anyone. They can even do gens in your face and you won't be able to stop them. I guess they will bleed out eventually (or complete all gens, i'm too lazy to count time for that)
As many times was said here, both by killers and survivors - "i should not be forced to run certain perks to counter this" -

Read it again. Slowly if you have to. I did not say he gets picked up, I said the first slugged survivor immediately springs back to injured state. Here, let me drop it down a few reading levels for you.
Survivors exist in several states. Healthy is when they have not taken any damage. Injured is when they have taken one hit and are still able to run around, but they are bleeding and make noise. Dying is is when they are laying on the ground and all they can do is crawl. With me so far?
Once the killer has hit three of the survivors twice and put them each in the dying state, and he has refused to pick any of them up to hook them, the moment he puts the fourth survivor into the dying state, then whichever survivor was slugged first will automatically return to the injured state. It means they immediately get one health state back, stand up and can move around again, to try to heal their slugged friends, etc.
Do you understand it now?
Exactly as i understood this
Guess what that injured survivor can do? That's right, he can flashlight save
You down him? Cool, now the second slugged survivor goes to the injured state. Oh look, he also has a flashlight
Do you see where this is going? -

What are you even talking about? I never said anything about auto-pickups. Besides, that wouldn't happen if you were smart like me and always use Lightborn.
i'm talking about your example, where "if all 4 survivors slugged, the first downed survivor gets immediately picked up"
Scenario 1: The killer first slugs Dwight, then Nea, then Kate. The moment the killer puts Sable into the dying state, Dwight immediately springs back to the injured state because he was the first survivor to be put in the dying state. Should the killer put Dwight back into dying state before he gets a chance to revive anyone else, then Nea returns to injured state because she was the next in the queue. -

you end up with ~4.6m/s. That would be busted (edit: typo)

As someone who plays both Killer and Survivor, I don't have a lot to say when it comes to the Killer issues because I've thankfully never encountered any survivors who refused to do gens. However, I really don't like the "anti-slug" solution presented here.
As things stand right now, it doesn't directly reward Killers for slugging, but it doesn't punish this behavior either. There's nothing to discourage slugging -- the killer doesn't care of the survivor abandons the match, after all, it's easier to deal with their replacement bot if it comes to that. No harm, no foul.
This would be a better solution. For the following scenarios, imagine there are four survivors, Dwight, Nea, Kate and Sable.
Scenario 2: Dwight is dead, Nea is hooked, Kate is dying. The moment the killer puts Sable into the dying state, Kate immediately springs back to the injured state. Should the killer put Kate back into the dying state before she gets a chance to revive Sable or unhook Nea, then Sable goes back to injured since she was the next living/unhooked survive in queue.
Scenario 3: Dwight and Nea are dead, Kate is hooked. The moment the killer puts Sable into the dying state, it doesn't matter because she's the only survivor on the field and the game should know enough not to automatically bring her back to injured.
Basically, there should never be a situation where all the characters on the field (not dead/not hooked) are in the dying state, and the moment that all the characters are put into the dying state, whoever was dying the longest (current first in queue), returns to injured to give them a chance to unhook or revive the others.
I feel like this is the best deterrent to stopping slugging if the game literally will not allow all characters to be slugged at once.
And you end up with 4man flashlight squad all running together. You can't hook anyone, since at any given moment one auto-picked up survivor can blind you. They can literally do gens in your face and you won't be able to do anything

It's practically an unused feature. The Dog will never linger in an area for or more than 4 seconds so it will never charge up. But theoretically what it's supposed to do is if a survivor would stay in the search radius for more than 4 seconds they would automatically be pounced. But even with the iri add-on the max linger duration is 3.6 seconds so yeah it will never trigger.
i wonder, can cheaters technically trigger it by following dog on its search path via speedhacks?

Skull Merchant wasn't nuked because of her kill rate, she was nuked because of the (largely irrational and unfair) hatred the community fostered for her.
I don't agree with the decision and I've criticised it a lot in the past, but it is important to acknowledge that what happened was pretty exceptional circumstances and is very unlikely to happen to another killer.
what about Chucky and almost Xenomorph (at least he(?) got saved)

İn how many of those matches did up to 3 people escape? Or was it just you?
Yea all you have to do i hide I lockers, don't do gens, or run the killers to other teammates, till the hatch opens then you escape. Good job
for me - i played 20 matches, and the lowest escape count out of all of them was 5.
2 times 5 survivors escaped
3 times 6 survivors escaped
1 time 7 survivors escaped
14 times 8 survivors escaped
So… yeah, this mode is really survivor sided -

It's very much addressing what you said.
If you choose option A, you are not stopping gen repair in general, just that one survivor doing gen repair. The other three survivors are also free to do generators in this scenario and will most likely loop around to do the one that's nearly finished.
If you choose option B, you are not stopping gen repair in general either, just the survivor you're chasing… except if you're not nearby for the person who just got off hook, they could at least feel the need to reset, which keeps them off generators a little bit longer.
The literal only difference is that picking option A is trying to tunnel for the easier chase, it doesn't have anything to do with gen repair.

It gets a bad wrap because of bots, which are not the problem with the gamemode. The problem is the lack of mmr and the fact that you can get paired with random people across the world rather than your own region. Because of this, no one has any hope of escaping, even though its really not that hard at all to beat two low mmr/high ping killers that likely play Wesker and Nemesis Free To Play (trial machanic) which itself is another problem.
Letting people play a killer they have no idea how to play, in a gamemode where your power is heavily relied on, was a terrible idea. Most RE killer teammates i get barely get infections or can't hit tier 3 within the first few minutes, which shouldn't be happening since its a target rich environment
The gamemode is obviously survivor sided. A single gen at the start can be popped within 15 seconds, due to gens taking only 80 seconds in this gamemode and the fact that guide is overpowered if you can hit greats with multiple people stacking, which happens to two gens every game
You can also now heal yourself and lose cage stages completely for free, with the very common herbs found in the trial
Healing is already super quick, which makes some of the current roster, completely useless, since they can't make back their progress as fast after losing a survivor briefly. This includes; Legion and trapper, the two worst killers in 2v8 right now.
The only killer that makes the gamemode somewhat more balanced, is wesker, since he forces a secondary objective onto survivors. Unless they want to risk going down way faster to either killers. Also running both RE killers is a huge nerf since you can relieve yourself of both infections with one of 3 charges out of the 8 sprays. the secondary objective that should be there for both killers, is gone
The bots do as they're intended, but play lore accurately to how dbd was intended to be played. They do gens, help teammates, and thats it. They're not supposed to be good in chase, even though they're great at robbing LOS and spam vaulting out of chase due to their wall hacks on all interactables and players. They also don't stealth as often as people think, they don't run right when the terror radius is hit, they run at abt 12 meters and crouch beside the objective or interaction they were doing, which is completely, mid experienced player behavior
People need to stop complaining abt survivor, when in the second variation of 2v8, it was perfect. It only got better, so stop begging on your knees for buffs when your lack of enjoyment is likely a skill issue. Not ruling out anyone, there are alot of factors, but likely its a skill issue
The gamemode is obviously survivor sided. A single gen at the start can be popped within 15 seconds, due to gens taking only 80 seconds in this gamemode and the fact that guide is overpowered if you can hit greats with multiple people stacking, which happens to two gens every gamegens take 70 seconds to be completed, not even 80

This is just post hoc rationalisation and making excuses. Nothing about perks changed in the past roughly 6+ months before this started being a thing.
The only change that occurred anywhere near the time this started is the extra 10 seconds hook timer (8.2.0 - august 2024). Which, by the way, only comes into play if the killer is camping or lurking near hook to tunnel. Suddenly all of the complaints about instant unhooking to keep killer pressure at a minimum are forgotten and people lose their minds because they can't conceive of not camping or tunneling in this game.
As for pop, this is the ultimate excuse and is absolutely. Not. The reason people are slugging in any way. Here's a timeline for pgtw in about the past year:
6.1 (July 2022): 20% of current + 2.5% total (base kit) this version was still meta for years and "the best regression available" after they fixed cobruption.
7.0 (may 2023): 30% of current and 2.5% total (base kit)
7.5 (January 2024): 30% current and 5% total (base kit)
8.0 (may 2024): 20% of current and 5% of total (base kit)
The version we have now (8.0+) is objectively better than when it was considered a meta perk and one of the best in 6.1.0. There's also been no change to pop in almost a year, so there's zero excuse for it to be included in a recent "slugging meta" in the past couple months.
If you're going to lie about the reasons, then WGLF was buffed in 8.3.0 (September 2024) and then the extra bonus healing slugged survivors speed was then nerfed soon after back to 100% (8.3.2 in October 2024). Which is just about when this all started.
Seems like if we're just going to say anything on this topic then WGLF changes had far more to do with this than pop ever did. (Which is still probably not much imo, but this while argument of yours and similar ones from others is just simply wrong).

so ask yourself why only now it is becoming the predominant strategy.
If we use the exact same disingenuous logic as almost every recent thread on slugging (including this one) then the answer is "because WGLF got nerfed".
If we use the exact same disingenuous logic as almost every recent thread on slugging (including this one) then the answer is "because WGLF got nerfed".they "nerfed" it by making it trigger every time you pick someone up (with 30s CD) instead of requiring you to take a protection hit/save before picking someone up? I appreciate the clarification because the updates on this were unclear & I haven't played it myself.
Also though just to add since this post I have just finished yet another Freddy game in which a player quit due to immediately being tunneled. The healing at hook is what's doing it & I hate that it's working especially in this way that as I said is promoting them to tunnel, hence why the player quit. I would too I'll be honest it's not fair, it's not fun.
I really am anti-tunnel I don't feel we should be forced to run certain perks or just "get gud" to play this game. But that's everyone else's stance on it. Despite how miserable the experience is just getting tunneled all the time or having players be tunneled out every game. I agree it really goes need addressing, has done for a while & yet probably never will. It's such a shame, I think I'm done with this game. Thank you & ######### you BHVR, for never addressing this crap.
is waking up the unhooker before getting healed by him too much to ask?.. how is it "get gud"? It's the most basic counterplay

“The perk was strong at 3 seconds. The strength of the perk comes mostly from the killer losing all momentum when he gets hit by it. It's you getting a hook or kill vs you having to chase a survivor a 4th time, or wasting a chase. Same with flashlight/pallet saves. The killer getting stunned longer than 3 seconds is just overkill, because at 3 you actually had to go down somewhat near a loop to be safe after your free getaway. ”
No the perk was a joke. Killers didn’t respect it anymore and they just tunneled through the weak da stun. Plus a lot of killer countered this perk anyway.
“The perk is anti-momentum, like Deliverance where nobody has to get off gens to save the survivor, and this kind of perk design is why killers don't want to hook anymore. If you're gonna make these perks, at least don't make them strong, because it creates more problems than it solves.“You know what you’re right. Survivors shouldn’t have perks anymore. They shouldn’t enjoy the game anymore. Only the role that wins most of their games should enjoy dbd
come on man complaining about deliverence? I get you overrate your skill but complaining about a healthy perk is next levelcome on man complaining about deliverence? Its obviously the peoples fault. BHVR has no obligation to provide information in before. And those people do not lose anything, they still have their money spend ingame for auric cells and can buy anything else they do actually have in store. It doesnt matter here if your or my morals say other, bhvr did nothing wrong and you cant blame them for doing nothing wrong.
Its insanity if you expect to get something thats not existing in the first place. Just because someone advertises something, it doesnt mean that this something is being released. So why being so greedy and spending money if you can just wait til its released? Thats just greed.
And i really dont care for review bombing. People complain for reasons beyond others abilities. Especially chinese players know exactly that their nations always has issues with censorship or licences from around the world. They surely can expect something to be not available for them.
And those people do not lose anything, they still have their money spend ingame for auric cells and can buy anything else they do actually have in store.except some people already spent auric cells on Junji Ito skins before they got region locked. The best one was a cheating Nurse who instantly teleported us all to hook as soon as the match started. If you do this, don't expect everyone to do this. Some people do not have time as you.
I can confirm that in all online games there are always a large number of players who do not have time to read everything about the game.
Some have time and some don't and vice versa so it's very important to simplify things for the players.
with that logic you can nerf/simplify anything in this game, even trapper

Well, let me tell you, the descriptions of some of the killers' powers seem bigger than they are and vice versa, not to mention the weird names, I mean reading something and building your imagination on it is different when you see it in an actual match.
The first 4 killers have very clear power descriptions for a new player and it helps that you will see them often so this makes it easier to understand, however the further down the list we go the descriptions become long or very long with strange names and the fact that some important mechanics are not mentioned in the descriptions.
So reading a specific killer power description doesn't seem like a problem, but reading all the killers power descriptions is a difficult task for many people, let alone not forgetting them.
i know that they are big. So what? Most "strange name" explained in killer power again, or in game tutorial

Not all players understand the same way, which is why developers tend to make things basic for easy understanding, but how would a player know that this killer will move faster if the survivor is laser scanned or receives a claw trap? There is no easy way to know this.
I mean they shouldn't have to use the hard way to figure out how to play against a specific killer.

Read killer power description? 🤨It is mentioned right there -

Is this still an issue with today's hotfix, as the problem was resolved in 8.4.2?

For The people + soul guard, no mither + unbreakable.
Да друг мой, за киллера очень весело играть, особенно против киберкотлет, мне лично они попадаются через игру.Выжившие могут продлить стадию на крюке на 90 секунд(если что стадия длится 60 сек)до 100 секунд, нe 90. Стaдию нeдaвно до 70 секунд увеличили 😅 (A в теории вообщe до 160 секунд, eсли у каждого сурвa будeт ободрeние)

Depends on the killer. If its an M2 injure (at least with most killers) it won't reveal devour since M2 powers can't down. It only reveals devour if a person got M1'd or (I don't know if this has been fixed ever) if blight rush attacks.
i'm 99% sure that devour reveals itself even on M2 hits, unlike noed

I dont think it takes much skill when you can hit a survivor from such a far distance and/or hit them with my back. I think its more of a tech issue than my superior skill.
yet we struggle with that. So please, share with us your gameplay, so we can see, what we're doing wrong

Worst chapter by far. She isnt even fun for me to use. The dog is so crappy in so many ways. god forbid a jacked dog like snug can figure out a fall from ANY elevation. Its too buggy and frustrating to enjoy. Snug takes the longest and awkward paths possible, especially in RPD. Had him run DOWN the stairs to go up another set becasue ya know…hallway scary. Youd think the dog would at least bite survivors who cross his path on the way back too. and god forbid a survivor pre drops a pallet, the dog can figure out how to jump over one thats already on the ground but not one thats dropped mid chase. As survivor…I love it cuz I win almost every match against her.
The chapter release trophies are awful too and so grindy. fall a total of 1000 meters as killer? or the taurie trophies that all revolve around being broken. gonna have to run no-mither just to get it done faster.
Plz dbd devs. No more AI killers on them till the coding is half-way decent. You can juke a knight phantom just by touching a window and running away
You can juke a knight phantom just by touching a window and running awaythe saddest part is that it is officialy not a bug since knight rework

It's not Erie of crows.
It's Gideon meat plant. You HEAL against a good doctor on that map.
you heal, but you don't necessary SELF-HEAL. This perk triggers ONLY on self-heals
