I mean, at that point, the match is a loss for them no matter what, if they want to move on to their next match straight away, why shouldn't they be able to?

The devs also wanted to ensure teabagging was still satisfying when they changed survivor animations so they aren't interested in changing this for the sake of the killer. I already knew that
Are we really us vs theming animations now?

149 survivor perks but this one is constantly single out as needing changes. Why can't a challenge perk just exists? Why must it always need to be made less than what it was meant to be?
Would being permanently exposed no longer be a challenge? If it received a change like this, it would simply allow for the perk to actually get some use (it wouldn't be as obnoxiously explicit that it's in play at first), and would no longer be an immediate loss against killers such as Nurse or Blight.
-
I really do think there must be biases to some perks because I swear I've had Visionary in like 75% of my survivor matches. I wouldn't even mind if the perk wasn't absolutely useless to anyone with over 50 hours.
-
As others have said, this has been in the game for years and occurs when a killer begins to move after standing still for an extended period. It has nothing to do with Ghostface and is entirely in the control of the killer, no survivor hand holding.

• Once activated, the next instance of damage that would put you into the dying state is ignored. So mettle of man does work it dont matter if u are injured it triggers off being but into the dying state good day
-
Are you talking about hitting a survivor not cancelling the hatch escape animation?

I don't think it's the case. If you have it active it would tank any hit that would make you go into dying state
I can promise you, Mettle of Man only works when you are injured
-
Can we get some more info on the scenario? How much time was left on Haunted? Because if it was anything less than ~14 seconds, Vigil could have meant that they were no longer exposed.
-
@vol4r said:
Off the record or mettle of man work while you are exposed. Could one of those two
For Mettle to work you have to be injured
-
I agree, idk why they thought Plague needed to absolutely nuke any sort of stealth gameplay

Keep in mind some of the new challenges track completed trials. Not sure if abandoning a trial would count towards that.
Abandoning a match still counts as its completion. Abandoning essentially acts as the match ending naturally as and when you choose to abandon, with nothing else gained or lost from the moment.
-
I'd rather they make Withered Isle a realm where all of its maps are visually different from one another. Lore-wise, this realm is created from memories, and I think it would make sense for each of these memories to express their horror differently.
-
The Music Room and Chemistry Lab gens on Midwich being completed cause the associated medallions from Silent Hill 1 to be placed in the indentations on the clock tower! I know everyone knows that the clock tower opens, but I like that they added the detail of the medallions appearing.

It's funny how neither the community or BHVR has learned that adding anti-killer mechanics has never improved the quality of the game. In fact the game has arguably only gotten worse, because all it's done is force killers to play optimally.
Basekit BT is probably one of THE best changes ever made to solo queue
-
I find that the game is currently in a state where losses feel a lot worse than they used to for both sides, I wouldn't say that this is a survivor only thing.

He could be hiding with the golden toolbox.
remember the secret room in Midwich that only opens after specific generators are finished and end game happens or the Golden toolbox comes out of the goop
I think Foxy might be hiding with the toolbox until you finish a unknown series of generators.or he’s bugged and doesn’t show. I like the first option more tho
Only one toolbox appears on each realm, I imagine that's already been taken by Garden of Joy

Wraith is a killer that is almost too easy to be made any stronger, gaining distance practically doesn't matter against him because unlike killers such as Vecna, he has no cooldown on his ability to close the distance made. I'm all for buffing weaker killers in some way or another but
- These changes would leave him in a state where he is too good at too much
- I wouldn't consider Wraith to be all that weak at current
-
Would like to amend my previous response with another suggestion. I think it would be cool if we saw some content from the Nonary Games franchise.
Again, maybe not the most fitting licence ever, however it's pretty similar to the Saw franchise in its overall themes.
It wouldn't really make much sense as a full chapter though (won't spoil anything here but just take my word for it) but a cosmetic collection would work pretty well, potentially even a map? But in the unlikely scenario that it did happen I would suggest these cosmetics for survivors as either cosplays or legendaries:
9 Hours, 9 Persons, 9 Doors
Ace: Ace or Vittorio
Snake: Felix
Santa: Renato
Clover: Feng
Junpei: Jake
June: Thalita
Seven: David
Lotus: Yun Jin
Ninth Man: Dwight
Virtue's Last Reward
Sigma: ???
Phi: Nea
Alice: Orela/Élodie
Clover: Feng
Luna: Mikaela
Quark: (A child so would probably have to be omitted)
Tenmyoji: ???
K: ???
Dio: Taurie
I'd do Zero Time Dilemma as well but that game isn't even worth mentioning IMO.
All these suggestions were made based on both the character's default appearance along with their personality and lore (some being more fitting than others) however a few are pretty tricky to settle on.
-
Some licenses/characters I'd quite like to see would be:
Fatal Frame
Clarice Starling (I know she doesn't fit all that well, but I love Silence if the Lambs with all my heart)
Elvira
Carrie (Stephen King doesn't seem too willing to do this though so very unlikely to happen)
The Shining (Same issue again)
Lollipop Chainsaw (Not all that fitting again, but I'd consider it a horror comedy)
Lady Dimitrescu/Mother Miranda and Ethan Winters if we were to get a third RE chapter
I'd also really like to see a second Silent Hill chapter, probably based off either The Room with Henry, Eileen, and Walter, or based of Silent Hill F whenever that comes out.

what? Thats what you do…. its not the worst advice… its literally the counter to legion….
And… Heal? That's also your problem, don't waste your time healing against legion.
So just stay injured against killers like Oni, Blight and Nurse then? Reminder that there are two killers in this mode.
-
I'm currently trying to improve at Huntress and let me tell you, maps are not being designed with ranged killers in mind anymore. Practically 90% of maps are just filled with tall clutter.
You often find yourself thinking, oh this survivor's leaving the tile, I'll be able to get a clean shot on them! Only for them to have already reached something to take cover behind within half a second.
-
Not great, Oni and Legion is the main problem (to nobody's surprise). Legion is mending simulator X2 and Oni is slugging simulator.
I have no idea what could really be done about Legion, all I could really come up with is to make him slower for the first few hits, but if he only finds 1 or 2 survivors and everyone else is across map, his power would be made pretty much useless.
Oni however, I believe should have some tweaks made to how he gains his power in 2v8. I'd suggest scrapping blood orbs altogether and make it so he only gains his power through direct hits. Obviously a buff to compensate would be needed but it would certainly do something about him getting his power every 2 seconds.

Nemesis is actual garbage. The Zombies are a hindrance to him, not an advantage.. Not to mention if you just practice against the tentacle and learn to dodge it more often, he can't get to stage 2 making him trash. Killer needs a complete rework and I'll bet I'm not the only one who thinks that.
What Nemesis players are you seeing that can't even reach T2???
-
Trust me, it might seem a novelty right now, but after even a day of losing kills because of it, it will drive you crazy.
-
Not a huge fan myself either, it feels too easy to get the second tentacle hit ever since they buffed the hinder after initial infection.
-
I believe that the texture on the green rarity cosmetic might be bugged, the jeans should be grey with red and blue boots. And as the legs are bugged, I assume the torso is as well.
-
@TWiXT Ty, hope I didn't come across as accusative or anything, dbd twitter has left me assuming the worst in people when it comes to stuff like that.

I just wanna know whys he's so quiet? Like Ada, Ace, Sheva, and Taurie, Orela has joined the favored few survivors who make the least amount of noise when injured, save for their screams. Even with Stridor equipped its difficult to hear their movement, breathing, and pained grunting… practically feels like they have built in Iron will.
The devs even promised a few years ago that they were gonna do an audio level balancing for all the survivor characters so that no one survivor would have a major advantage or disadvantage due to how quiet or loud they are, What happened to that?
I'd like to hope you meant "she"

Which is what she's supposed to be able to do, like Huntress at pallets. Otherwise, her power is in survivors' hands.
A Huntress cannot see someone drop a pallet, then decide to pull up and still get a guaranteed hit. Houndmaster could.
-
I mean, before the nerfs she could use Snug reactively to a survivor dropping a pallet and the grab was still guaranteed, they kind of HAD to nerf his vault speed.
-
Because it was a bug maybe
-
Really don't see why people are against this?? I'm sure OP is aware that even if the exit gates are powered, they still have the potential to get kills, however if a killer has already had a rough match, and feels as though they're just going to be delaying an inevitable loss, then why shouldn't they be able to just get the match out of the way?
I'm sure everyone here already knows that a decent part of the community feels the need to rub every little mistake that other players make in their face, both killers and survivors, and I don't see why EITHER side should have to suffer through that really. Again, killers can obviously force survivors out of the exit gates but at the end of the day, the match result would still be the same if they abandoned.

Guys, these are challenges. You are supposed to work for the completion.
We need those kinds of challenges because doing 10 generators, healing 15 surviviors is too passive and uninteractive.
True as that may be, this challenge is almost entirely determined by the actions of your opposition. It is not difficult to avoid being grabbed by the killer, nor is it difficult to just look at a wall when picking a survivor up, and if you can't look at a wall, either bait the direction that you face when picking up, or just slug.
Challenges should be a test of the player's skill, not whether or not their opponent makes a silly mistake.
-
Hard agree, if you're going to give challenges, the least the Devs could do is ensure that said challenges are not going to be in the hands of the opposition 99% of the time.
-
What an insightful post!

Haddonfield has to be one of the worst maps imaginable…Brother there are 2 pallets on the side of the street which are 1 meter pallets and then 1 in the road. What are u supposed to do against a billy exactly?
Tbf Billy is probably one of the only killers that struggles on Haddonfield, the houses are full of short walls with sharp corners.
-
That actually isn't a new one! It was just removed for some reason a while back, same with a spawn in the same house downstairs. But I have been seeing some new new spawns, like beside the shed with a vault + breakable wall on Haddonfield.
-
I'm about 35 tiers in and I really don't like the new system, it almost feels like I'm not even doing challenges. I miss the specificity of tome challenges rather than "do this thing you do every match 5,000 times".
-
I don't think he's all that strong, but they certainly made him 100 times more boring. He's essentially just clown that can teleport and has bottles go through walls and with no sort of slowdown for using them.
I always thought that Clown was uninteractive but new Freddy is something else.
-
It's not a bug, it's to prevent survivors from sneaking behind you during a vault to avoid the hit. There's a lot of things that are frustrating about playing against the Ghoul, but this one is understandable.
-
It depends entirely on how the player decides to play the match, playing him in a chase-oriented way provides a pretty fun match for survivors. Playing in a gen defense way? Very boring.
-
I'd say that at times, Blood Moon was arguably more difficult than normal queues for survivor. Not only did you have to look out for three gens like normal queues, you also had to look out for instances of blood gens with no blood pumps anywhere nearby. I'd honestly rather play normal queues as survivor, the only reason I even bothered playing Blood Moon was the event-specific tome quests.

8 times in total so if you hit it with pop + eruption it wil take away 3 of those 8 limits if im not mistaken
It would take away 2 if pop and eruption were applied at the same time
-
It's probably just the fact that you're going for the achievement that's bringing it to your attention. Years of "flashlight bully squad" YouTube videos has created the idea that flashlights are some sort of god item when they haven't really been all that useful since the removal of insta blinds.
-
Idk I think the ones with a miserable life are the ones doing things that they KNOW do nothing but make the other side miserable. I myself just had a really rough match as killer, decided to go AFK and just let the survivors do the last couple of gens and escape.
I then come back to one of the survivors just spam vaulting in front of my AFK killer. Something which achieves literally nothing but potentially upsetting someone who's already had a bad match.
Obviously this isn't a survivor only thing, but it certainly says a lot about the people in this game's community.
-
Nothing more cringe than encouraging people to play a game in a way where the goal is just to ruin other people's fun
-
Is the unique animation not enough?
-
Can I ask a legitimate question, what would BHVR gain from intentionally making a killer useless? If a killer being strong somehow negatively affected BHVR's finances, I'd get it, but it doesn't. So what is the thought process behind your mentality?
