  • We need first bug fixes, then nerfs/buffs imo

  • Oooh, I see! thank you for the answers

Yeah, its very counterable, and failing it has a big penalty.

    Interesting to know

To me this video just shows why head on is a dumbass perk to use. Doesnt do them any good, at least as far as I watched.

They literally held the killers in the basement for 4-5 gens in all the footages just out of pure rage and stopped hooks by saving each other?

  • 99% the gate is fine, the killer can open it and use bloodwarden too, so.

  • Let's be honest, its annoying.

I usually DS+Head On in a row just for the lulz, its funny for me and the boyz but I know that its pretty damn annoying to spend 10s stunned basically or be hit with it multiple times in a single match and also 4 DS.

  • Well, so it'd 100% fit the new doctor theme XD

They don't *have* to be high pitched! Just make it a lil bearable

  • I'll try to find the totem but I won't risk giving the killer 2+ kills.

  • I agree that it is an anti-momentum perk.

Because a scenario which 2 peoples are hooked right after the first one, is not uncommon.

Apparently some think that if it deactivates after someone else is hooked is dumb.

So make it deactivate if you RUN (fast action) into a locker.

If 2 peoples are downed (not hooked), it could also deactivate, because clearly you're not being tunneled if two go down.

The suggestion above with the aggressive actions grab is also good.

  • Survivors that DC or tell killers to kill themselves on their profile.

    Those are main (mono) survivors.

  • Good post.

I have hopes that dbd will become great(er) eventually, devs just need to make the Big Brother listen to them, because I'm sure they know that we're not happy with the balancing right now.

  • At the moment, none I guess.

  • A few days ago, I've played agaisn't a real good nurse that was trying to derank because she claimed that a dev said "if you can't play without ruin, you don't deserve to be high rank" or something like that (not literally that)

So she got hella offended and tried to derank on purpose.

    Its complicated, man.

  • I was about to say that what you just mentioned

"For example, someone who has DS who makes a save, has their DS disabled. You can't complain about being tunneled if you are literally unhooking someone else who got hooked after you got hooked. And even then, you can simply not go for the unhook to keep your DS."

DS should be disabled after someone else has been hooked.

Its too strong and I honestly don't ever start a game without it, because you can even punish the killer for overperforming.

Matches that 2+ peples are hooked under a minute and then the first hooked still uses DS, are not uncommon.

Specially on death squads that use the same blendette.

And I also think that adrenaline off the hook is kinda op (which is also why i also always run it along with DS)

  • With recent nerfs and buffs, I’m wondering if brand-new parts with comodious toolboxes could finaly see a huge well deserved nerf soon, or they are buisy “fixing” the other aspects of the game.

Not interested in arguements about this add-on. It’s clearly broken when you get people DC-ing more often than not if it’s being used. And you can’t blame them either. It’s the survivors fault for bringing in something obliviously ridiculous.

  • Its not like spirit is what she used to be.

ITs better to play a godlike nurse with mori, if you want revenge.

  • Legit, I like to think I'm a main Nea, but yesterday after waiting 10mins on queue, for a match that didn't even began due to someone crashing or whatever, followed by another 5min queue, which also didn't make it through, yeah.

I swapped to killer and got a 5s queue. lol

I haven't been playing SWF as much now because queue times make it boring.

The issue with BHVR is, they will never have another hit. Look at their history. They have a zero percent success rate in any other game. All they've done are Deathgarden (and we know how much of a snoozefest that was before they took the servers down), and a slough of second rate licensed games/ports. They have a track record of failure

Hell, if you want to be technical, DBD is technically a failure as well. The playerbase hasn't really grown. It's been stagnant for years now. That's why they are doing what they are doing. Making their bank now, luring in new people and giving the proverbial middle finger to old players, to make more bank. They are well aware their chances of success with another game is, well...unfavourable.

DBD wasn't a hit because of BHVR. It was a hit because of content creators taking notice of it. Define irony - all those same content creators pray for DBD to die so they can move on to something else.

Yeah, I agree 100% with the video, I only play dbd because I love horror, but dbd stopped being scary for a long time now.

Playing killer is way scarier than playing survivor lately.

  • Not killer main but I love susie.

    Yes, susie, not legion, Susie.

  • The game is balanced around new survivors, because survivors have to be 80% of the players (4 suvs, 1 killer), new players buy DLCs, older players don't have much means to invest, because they'll either use shards or already bought all DLCs, is this a smart business idea? I don't know, but there is your answer.

  • "The company has one hit on their hands and instead of making it better on the longterm, they make it for the short term".

    Business is business.

  • I thought I was crazy.

Thanks for the post, now I know its just another bug by daylight lol

  • Stop making billy an issue.

He is harmless on lower ranks, because new players can't use his chainsaw if their lives depended on it.

Do red ranks survivors really need more padding? No

  • @28_stabs said:

    3 things killers need:

    free Bamboozle

free Spirit Fury + Enduring for every 2nd pallet

    free Devour Hope without Hex

To be fair, here is what I would give to solo survivors:

    free Kindred

    free WGLF

    free DS

    To SWF:

take away 1 hook stage. 2nd hook always instant death. Play careful.

Some of these are dope suggestions.

  • Yesterday I had an almost 10min queue as survivor, once the match started, someone crashed or whatever and the game didn't start.

If I'm with the boyz, we won't find a match under 5mins, we're all rank 1-2, survivor queue is a pain and the matches are mostly easy.

  • Iri head and mori, sorry but you're not really good.

Its no different from a 4m swf with 4 brand new parts on a commodious toolbox.

With corrupt intervention, all the gens the survivors spawn at will be blocked. They have to spend a minute or two to even find a gen in some cases.

Someone like trapper should not really even be chasing, unless the survivor appears to be a potato or you are chasing them into a trapped area. You can spend 90~ seconds chasing someone through a ton of god windows and jungle gyms, or 5 seconds chasing them into a trapped loop.

two minutes to even find a gen? #########.

are we playing the same game? If cor interv is up, you just run across the map to find a gen, and they always spawn in the same areas o_o are you new?

  • Anyone who says "apply more map pressure" is either a god nurse or billy, or most likely definitely not on red ranks (even if they're a survivor)

Any red rank survivor with a toolbox will absolutely eat a gen before a killer finishes his first chase.

  • The audio in this game is horrible and Iron Will is the counter you're looking for.

Why add a basekit to counter spirit? it makes no sense.

Bad idea, just run iron will. no need for base ironwill, spirit is perfectly jukeable if you have iron will, and if you're an absolute madman running iron will and lightfeet, then jesus, do she really needs more nerfs?

  • Red rank survivor matchmaking wait time is horrible right now, on swf its even worse.

  • - Enduring, BS and SF are now part of the killer's base kit;

I agree with everything else that is not a meme, except this above and old spirit.

  • I say "wp" only , because maybe it wasn't a "good game" for him or someone else, so I just say "well played" as a pat on the back and be civil.

  • So what that he is rank 9?

On red ranks, playing survivor is all about SWF or mostly big brained survivors (if you don't get a memer who actually doesn't care anymore because he knows playing survivor is chill) the game will go the same, yesterday I had an impressive match of all rank 1-2's agaisn't a purple killer, we all got hooked once or twice, the killer did well, but at the end, we excelled and everyone went for protection hits, so everyone else could escape, it was no different from playing SWF.

Being survivor is easy, if I want an even easier chill match, i'll bring a toolbox with repair speeds because I know that our odds of winning will be increased by a shitton.

On red survivor ranks, we're getting purple and green killers often and the matches are a total stomp; Give the survivor a butterknife and we'll start killing the killers.

The game was scary when I started playing it (600h ago) as a survivor

But now, 600h later, the game is much more scary as a killer, because survivors are freaking powerful and organized.

  • The game is balanced around new players though, not the ones who play it everyday etc.

    :(

  • Today I've had a game agaisn't a brand-new, comodious and insta heal.

First gen popped about 30s into the game? it was unbeliavably fast, i finish hooking my first survivor (which was pretty quick too) and other TWO pop as I walk away from the hook, absolute madness

Needless to say, they were a 4-man swf, and I know it IS like that because when I swf, it is not so different.

Its not a "jUsT aPpLy PresSuRe" issue.

  • At the start of the game, you can easily find someone by walking to the opposite side of the map that you are (usually they'll already be on a gen), then as our friend said, grab something that helps you find them.

Do not commit on chases for too long, if they drop 1 pallet early, just try to get a hit on them and leave it because everyone will be on a chase as soon as they see that someone just got hit, if you don't end the chase under 20 seconds top, you'll be slapped with 3 gens before you hook your first survivor.

Don't commit on chases for too long on early game, sometimes mid too (2-3 gens, all 4 alive), if you manage to hurt a few and down one, they'll start healing each other to go for the save, allow them to save, then go for the saver and then the wheels of fate will start turning.

Don't be afraid to ""tunnel"" if there are 3 gens left and all 4 alive, tunnel the person on death hook, you'd need to take someone out of the game asap if there are only 3 gens left, so that the pressure on YOU will be lifted a little.

TL;DR: don't overcommit to chases and punish savers lol

  • I agree with what you said.

Being a decent killer and playing agaisn't baby suvs (low ranks) feels like I'm torturing them, so most of the times I'll just start farming and playing around if I notice they're babies.

However, I also believe that balancing the game around newbies is not really good because on red ranks, if all 4 suvs are GOOD, they will torture the killer instead, and the killer will ONLY capitalize on survivor errors, if they're perfect , then oh well.

I have no idea honestly how they could even balance the game for low ranks AND red ranks, because its clear that if they buff killers thinking about red ranks survivors, the low ranks survivors will suffer, and if they balance it around low ranks, high rank killers will suffer.

Maybe change % speed of "stuff" across different ranks? Faster gens, slower killers on green, yellow/gray ranks.

Slower gens, faster killers on red ranks? I don't know either, DbD is hard to balance and takes bigger brains.

At high ranks, ruin is already useless, I see it as extra points if I happen to stumble upon the lit totem.

At low ranks, survivors literally won't touch gens while ruin is up.

At high ranks, killers won't run ruin anymore, so many of them will HAVE TO "git gudder" and if they can't, they'll also quit or switch sides, thus making queues longer.

Again, I don't know how to balance it for EVERYONE , but I guess no one really does.

  • I completly disagree.

Hitting great skillchecks is not a big deal and even if you miss a few, well, its still not a big deal, very often you'll repair half a gen without getting a single skill check, so ruin is just a pat on their head, or a dummy totem for dummy survivors that "believe" gens are unrepairable with it up.

So the matchmaking is busted, causing a top tier killer to win 98% of his games, and yet the game is survivor sided still? That blows my mind.

Maybe 1/3 to 1/4th of my games as killers are completely free wins because there is just a single bad survivor on the other team, who can be freely tunneled out. And they are usually new enough they don't even have DS.

The game is only survivor sided if you are hitting 4 survivors who are all gods. Other than that, it's a stomp.

If you're playing agaisn't a survivor that doesn't even run DS or "don't have it" then you're most likely absolutely a yellow rank.

  • I disagree, I play both sides, I am a rank 2 survivor and a rank 9 killer TODAY (i play mostly survivor, but I've been in red ranks as killer a lot)

I play with the tryhard survivor build: DS, Adrenawin, Unbreakable/Ironwill and DH.

My SWF who has 1k hours, every single one of them, also runs the same build along with BT.

We are good, my solo queues are good when survivors run the meta build, we DS the killer until daylight and unbrekable and BT, tank hits and we coordinate our last gen, just so our Adrenaline will be perfect timed to save our asses.

I can't really image we being beaten by a killer unless we're fooling around, which we do alot, after all swf is all about having fun.

Now, I really feel sorry for killers, because unless they're a god tier nurse, huntress or billy, I don't see how they can even begin to apply pressure, unless they camp hooks (Because lets be honest, slugging is not SUPER effective) and camping hooks agaisn't SWFs will either win the game due to altruism, or lose it because 1-2 will be doing gens and 1 or 2 will go for a successful rescue.

Also, ONE survivor will ALWAYS and I mean always escape whenever the SWF is full, because communication will save each other so one can get the hatch.

Solo queues are different, yeah, it takes 4 big brained survivors to be nearly as decent as a SWF, but I have some real impressive matches which in the end we all heal up and go for the rescue of that one person being camped and everyone will tank hits etc, its beautiful.

Anyway, I disagree that killers have the power role.

In lower ranks, hell yeah, killers will torture newer players, but once they start learning the loops, damn, they'll easily hold a killer for at least 2-3 gens, specially if the group has toolboxes (which I personally ALWAYS bring to my matches, cause I just wanna win)

If survivors (specially SWFs) are not the power role, then no one is.

    Communication wins wars.

  • Wow.

He was already basic, but now, damn.

And nope, I am not a killer main, I have hundreds of survivor games and probably not even near 100 as killer.

Only 520 hours of game, but mostly of it as survivor.

And hell, doctor was hella basic, they made him even weaker? jezz.

  • That is true.

The only problem with her, is how easily she can be countered by anyone with 30 IQ, making her powerless.

  • Yeah, I become someone else when I play killer, I essentially become a paranoid psycho and throw evil laughs along with "YOUR VERMIN" "LETS DANCE" or whatever comes to my head to belittle puny humans.

As a survivor i just call them motherf-.

  • The speed of matches is as the players want it to be.

There are 5mins long matches already, do we really need to speed it up even more?

The speed will depend on the players, now if you want different map setup, then "match speed" is not really what you're looking for

  • I loved that story btw, does sound like an average game.

Yeah, survivors that "farm hooks" are cancer.

Agree. Even today, 2 ppl decided to dc because I hitted them with the oni flick around a corner. Then I felt bad because 2 dcs at the start of the game. I downed 1 survivor and ran on purpose to the laurie to pallet save me. Then she teabagged me and they both were hiding for like 10 min. I was really done, I just wanted to let them escape and go to the next game but they were STILL hiding. So when I found them I just straight up killed them and then they insulted me in the chat for beeing a hearthless ######### and I should kill myself.

I've literally had that before too.

Its painful indeed, which is why I only play killer when I'm feeling resilient.
