  • Good changes, but I would leave for the third blink only one ultra rare addon and add-ons at maximum range should carry more debuffs. But given the fact that the developers are not doing anything in this direction, although it would have been worth it for a long time, then I would be happy even with such changes.

  • I noticed that you ignore all requests for the nurse's rework or her add-ons nerf. And these requests from the community very much. Do you think the nurse and her add-ons are completely balanced or is it something else? Just answer the community to this question, I am sure that very many will be interested.

(Thank you for a few "vote down", main nurses. Another confirmation that my question is worth paying attention to, please.)

  • @Kaiju said:

Like everybody say default nurse is fine but the add-ons need a rework more than 3 blinks o omega blink nurse is just unfair

More than three? A nurse with two blinks without any add-ons is already the strongest killer in the game + to play with two blinks you need at least some skill, unlike the three blinks and more.

  • Nerf addons will be enough. There should be no more than two blinks + nerf addons on the range of movement. With these addons any noob wins, he doesn't need any skill.

  • Percentage of survival of solo players against nurses with addons of the third blink (1-12 rank.)

Oh that's interesting, Mclean said on stream that nurse and hillbilly where getting add on reworks but I'm glad they're not to be honest.

As much as it might suck for solo players the strongest killers need to stay how they are since they're the only ones who can go up against a good 4man SWF.

And why should solo players for survivors suffer in this situation? Is this some kind of lower grade not worthy of a normal game?

  • I completely agree, there is no opposition in the pursuit of a good player with three blinks and some other addons, this is like a legion with a Frank cassette, it is not at all interesting to play. SWF? I only play solo for survivors and against me a nurse with addons through the game. How long can this go on?

Yes, because it is much better to rely on a "host - killer", that this time you will be lucky and he will not lag switch and everything will be fine with his Internet. And also jump 10 times from the lobby to the lobby to find a normal ping. What desire and mood to win for the survivor can be discussed under such circumstances?
I play several games with dedicated servers, lags almost never happen, it all depends on how the developers do their job + I have adequate matchmaking and stable good ping. Of course, BHVR can do its job badly and things will get worse, but I hope for the best.

Dedicated servers don't guarantee good ping. They're servers; not magic.

Wow, this is a surprise. Who would have thought...?
I'm talking about my own experience, because I live in an appropriate place. Even if I lived somewhere far from the central parts of the world and had a ping of 150-200, it is still better than P2P in my opinion.

You can cut the snark. The majority of people pushing for dedicated servers act like they're some magic pill that's gonna fix everything.
For people living in, say, Australia, it's not gonna be 150-200 if they don't get servers. It's gonna be anywhere from a third to half a second.

For me, this is in all respects better than P2P (if this is done well, I hope that BHVR will succeed in this). Well, I can only sympathize with the Australians, if this happens, it is possible that it is better not to play the game at all than to “enjoy the charms” of the P2P system.

Yeeeeah dedicated servers are coming thanks devs ;D

If you think dedicated servers are the solution, you gonna have a bad time.

    What do you mean?

Servers might not be close to your geographic location.
    There might be region lock.
You could still have lag. Maybe even a harder time to fill lobbies.
And on top of that we might get monthly fees.

    I think Nurse is fine.
    She has no Ultra Rares.

An additional blink can already be considered an ultra rare addon. This greatly facilitates the gameplay of the already very powerful killer in the game.

  • Any country of the European Union, teabaging, camping and tunneling - for them this is the usual everyday behavior in the game, apparently in real life they have complete setbacks. But there is a light ray in this game - they are residents of sacred Russia, the best country on earth. These people are driven by restraint and respect for the opponent and among the allies, I never received from them camping, teabaging, only "gg, I wish you a good and enjoyable day" in the postgame chat. It's good that on this planet, at least someone is left, who is not ashamed to call a human, and these are residents of sacred Russia.

Steam has been out for 15 years and I still see bugs that prevent me from sending messages until I restart it.
Newsflash: Any software more complex than "Hello world" has bugs and will always have bugs. Programmers are human, and humans are fallible.

Just for example. I bought a rocket league a couple of years ago. And there I never waited for the start of the match for more than one minute. Also, never my ping was above 80. Hmm, why is that? Do androids work there?

  • Will Santa Claus's beard be added to Dwight for the New Year's event?

  • If this happens, it is not very soon. This would solve at least somehow the problem of the balance of solo players and SWF, but ... in such solutions, these devs are very slow unfortunately.

@go1gotha They don't ignore it, they've already addressed this multiple times, and the Lore stream was the first Lore stream in a very long time. Stop spreading BS.

The last time they mentioned anything about the dedicated servers in their game in the early spring of this year, they gave only one offer. It seems it sounded like "we will think and evaluate the cost." Perhaps in a few months we will hear the same thing and see zero action in this direction. Well, stream about lore or “mash it up!” it doesn't matter, while hundreds of players wait half an hour in their lobbies, fly out of the game and get undeserved hits through the windows. Like pretend that everything is in order with this game. This is normal? I do not think so.

  • No, you probably will not get it. Developers will better discuss the lore of their game on the stream, but will ignore the really important things, like your request, as if they do not exist. But I can give some advice.

    1. Be patient, take lags and hits through pallets for granted, as part of the game world, its balance. (entity obscures your mind and you start to lag, something like that).

    2. Stop playing it and wait for the second part of the game, which will be no earlier than in 6 years. (if it ever comes out.) In the meantime, buy one of the series of the game “Civilization” and enjoy, I heard from one person that this is a good game.

I think very soon this question will be closed by itself. In the PTB, any settings in the engin.ini did not work in the game, and most likely this change will move to the main build, which may be released today.

Was not the first the it didn't work on ptb or was it? Can't remember..

I can say for sure that this was the first time. Whether it will be blocked or not in the main build - we'll probably find out in a few hours.

  • I think very soon this question will be closed by itself. In the PTB, any settings in the engin.ini did not work in the game, and most likely this change will move to the main build, which may be released today.

  • Forget, they better give money to deatngarden, where yesterday there was a peak online - 47 players, and survivors in their game let them play with lags, lag-switchers, undeserved hits through windows and pallets. The only way out is to play this game normally - to be a host, that is, to play for a killer. Perhaps someday, if there is a second part of the game, then they will think about dedicated servers, but for now, suffer and enjoy what is, if you play for the survivor.

  • A maximum of 2 blinks is what she needs. 2 blinks really do require skill and knowledge of the game. 3 blinks and more is too much and does not require any skill. Everything else in this killer should remain as it is now, with 2 blinks (and some weakening of addons for range and speed), it can be considered balanced.

  • The nurse, as well as all the other killers, can force the survivors to use a dead hard "to nothing", as a result of which the survivor will avoid a hit only once per match. (the first time you do not yet know that the survivor has this perk)
And yes, after exhaustion nerf, the strongest killer in the game became even stronger.

  • 3 blinks - it's already a lot, only 2 blinks make this killer balanced and give chances to survivors to prolong the chase. SWF will always be stronger than solo players, but the developers can at least somehow narrow the gap between them without entering a voice chat.

  • At me on a PC the fps became almost the same as before the update 2.0. Thanks for the fix.

  • PC
On all maps there is a fall in FPS, but most of all this is felt on the Torment Creek, Wretched Shop, Shelter Woods.
    I played for both sides.
The killer on the map is not important, only if it's not a doctor, he takes a few FPS, but it's not critical.
Especially the drawdown of FPS was observed when you look far ahead and you see a lot of objects in your field of vision. As a rule, this is most often observed on the "Shelter Woods", which is probably why for many it is considered the most problematic map.

  • in practice this is not so. and when there are three useless teammates in your team, the hatch is the only hope.
