I haven't gotten a hacker this month, but I encountered hackers like 7 times last month so they're pretty common this year. Man, people really enjoy ruining fun. I really hope EAC gets an update for DBD or BHVR gets better anti-cheat.

But I have to agree that the rework was a success. My performance with Clown improved significantly, despite already performing very well with him before the rework.
Agreed. It's much more satisfying to get downs with his antidotes. Rework looks like garbage at a glance, but when it's in action, man it's fun.
Also I think Clown mains are pretty nice people. (I'm not a Clown main but he is a killer I play every now and then, like Trapper, Nurse, and Demo) I don't think they intended to sound aggressive on the forums, probably just trying to share their opinions. It's normal to get aggressive sometimes, I guess.

Blight. They were very skilled, very good. It's not their fault they got matched with me.
Oh, I was wondering because I'm rank 1 and have 1.8k hours, lol. Blight is pretty kewl.
-
We'll be fine, don't worry. They got it shut down. Lots of hackers are REALLY trying to crack into DBD this year. It's weird, I know. EAC needs their security measures fixed.

I already miss it. I spent 15 minutes waiting to play a game this evening only to get slaughtered in less than 5 minutes by a rank 1 killer with over 1800 hours. What a joke. This is why people leave.

Who did the killer play as?
-
Okay that'd be pretty cool tho ngl, seems a bit too hard to execute him in DBD though...
Eh, anything's possible though. Maybe.
-
The MMR's lookin' pretty good if ya ask me. Gj BHVR, let's hope this goes well...

What's your point? I've watched lots of his clown games the past week, in some games he rarely uses them. It's mostly just 1 bottle used for getting across the map after a hook. Sometimes he uses them at loops, but the slowdown bottles with add ons worked at the same loops previously anyway.
I'll tell you what's even funnier, in one game he got destroyed as Clown. Dead Hard to pallets played a big part of it. He would have literally been better with old clown and his exhaustion bottles than new clown and the antidotes he rarely used or needed on that map.
The rework was a failure and is in some ways a nerf, almost everyone agrees but the people balancing the game are so disconnected from the playerbase Almo actually considers this update a success. Think about that.
I honestly have no other point other than how useful yellow bottles are in safe loops. You just gotta try playing him first, get used to using the yellow bottles and you'd see what I mean.
At a glance it looks useless with that 10% movement speed boost, but I've ended chases/loops pretty easily with that speed boost. Combine that with the purple bottles and the speed difference is HUGE. If they pre-drop the pallets, you can abuse that by getting rid of shack pallet or even being able to use Spirit Fury.
Clown looks and feels basic but he's actually not bad at all, just takes time to understand him. And yeah, while the update was awful, the rework was pretty good IMO.
-
This is probably the deepest thread I've ever seen. Take my upvotes or whatever they call it here. I don't use Reddit.
You don't deserve this pain and suffering, you sound like a fun survivor to play with tho lol.
-
@Dizzy1096 said:
It's ironic you use an Otzdarva video to prove your point, if you've seen him going for the 50 winstreak with Clown the past week he barely uses the bottles himself.
They can be useful in some situations but overall the Clown update fixes none of his weaknesses that have plagued him for years and he was hardly terrible in chase before so it's not like these were an essential update. Most people tend to agree the rework was a huge flop and even Otz has struggled to make clown work, over 5k hours and he's having to hard camp, tunnel and rely on the pure luck of devour hope to make him work.
It's odd considering I skipped to the beginning-middle of his latest VOD and 5 seconds in he throws a yellow bottle :P

The thing with the Otz vid is that he's showing off uses for the yellow bottle in ideal situations. The reality is that these ideal situations are not that common.
You'd be surprised, actually.
-
Nah it's not just you, I'm having that issue as well.
-
I agree, I've ended chases WAY faster with the antidotes. Clown's anti-loop ability is 10 times better after the rework, he was intended to be a strategic killer and BHVR finally managed to make him even more strategic.
-
I play the game, I guess. If everyone escapes, then well done for them. You're not supposed to win all the time. Better luck next time, maybe you'll win next game.

Yeah, but since I'm unsure of his motives, I can't really do anything but speculate can I? :^)
Heh, true.
-
Knowing Scott he's probably using that as a cover to bamboozle everyone into thinking he isn't actually planning any collabs. I'd laugh my ass off if that were the case tbh.
-
Honestly BHVR should just make it so red ranks play against and with red ranks, purple ranks play with and against purples ranks and so on and so forth. And if matchmaking takes too long, make it so a purple rank is matched with a red rank etc etc. And also they should keep the rank rewards without MMR.
Not sure how this would work for SWF, I suppose MMR could work for SWFs only. For solo queue games rank matters, for SWFs rank won't matter but skill will depending on the players.
Man I'm tired. Homework was fun though
-
He should do some ASMR uwu~
Sorry, my girlfriend's boyfriend's dog's cousin's human friend's wife's wife typed that. I need some water.
-
It legit makes no sense. They did this for the Clown as well, gave him tome challenges in one of the tomes that had nothing to do with him.
-
@onemind said:
1 what's his power
2 the odds aren't good the only reason we got Steve and Nancy is because they didn't want to put children being abused
3 they literally kill kids in the game this would be the victor issue all over again but worse
4 who would a survivor be
5 What would even be his weapon his hand?
6 ohh god the furries
- Up to the devs on that one, they're pretty creative so they could do anything. Who woulda guessed what Demogorgon or Pig's powers could've been?
- How did SAW get in before FNAF anyways? I mean I like SAW but no one would have guessed it coming to DBD.
- Michael Myers, Freddy Krueger, etc.
- Lots of opportunities for that one. There's Michael Afton, Charlotte, Henry, Jeremy Fitzgerald (though considering his character design isn't seen in any of FNAF media, probably won't work, same goes for Henry).
- His weapon will probably be treated like Hag's or Demogorgon's (preferably Demogorgon because of claws I guess idk).
- Wait, people still hate on furries in 2021? I thought the internet was edgy in like 2015-2017.
-
@chadbeastofprey said:
the fandom is cringe though.
- Why do people still think the fandom is the same as it was in the past?
- Does the fandom really matter? It doesn't relate to the franchise at all.
- If FNAF's fandom was still garbo, would it even be any worse than DBD's?
-
If you know what you're doing, you can end chases faster with Clown than Freddy. Freddy is overall a better killer though thanks to his ability to teleport to generators. I except others to see him as a decently strong killer (like when he first released in 2018) once Freddy gets the hammer.

Killer adepts, eh?
IT'S TIME FOR THE GRIND.
-
It's a uh... weird perk. I tried it out on Bubba and it really felt like it was helping the survivors, giving them Repressed Alliance or something without the survivors being able to see its aura. HOWEVER, Surge might be a really good perk to go along with it. I don't know if the Entity prevents Surge from affecting the blocked generator(s) though.
Maybe if I decide to P3 Freddy I can try doing a DMS and Surge build. I'm gonna test it out with Bubba (if I even have Surge on him) to see if it works sometime.
-
This is the first thread I've seen where there are less people bitching about how FNAF is for kids and how people who like it are wussies (It's fine to dislike FNAF tho). Thank god there are people with brains here.
FNAF would be pretty dope in DBD. I love FNAF and its lore. Honestly I'm not even sure how SAW got in before FNAF did, but FNAF's license is wayyy easier to get.

It is killer sided. There is a lot of deadend areas where it is one way in and no way out. At least it is not like Ormonds where every pallet is a death trap.

I agree, Matchbox is too op. She can LITERALLY teleport through windows/pallets and hit survivors with faster speed. Devs need to do something about it, it's ridiculous af. You can use Jenner's Last Breath to teleport back to where you were to easily mindgame. HOW OP IS THAT?!!??!
Okay but seriously you are too wholesome man D:

I did have that idea already in mind, but having the basement chests have a higher rarity is another downside that’s not necessary. That is unless you’re guarding it with insidious bubba lol
True true.
-
Tbh I just want the perk to limit the chest items to Brown (or maybe Yellow) and leave the Basement Chest's rarity higher. Would be fun for basement chest guardian Bubba lol.

Look ik you're joking but I unironically use Speed Limiter in every have and I feel so called out about countering z walls.
Speed Limiter Bubba is actually pretty fun tbh, I love running the Rusted Chains on him (makes survivors that get hit by chainsaw have the broken status effect for 90 seconds).
-
It's a bit fun for killers that can easily travel through floors like Demo, Hag, and Nurse. Other than that you're probably gonna get Terminal 7 Brain Cancer. I don't even know what that means, but it's bad.
-
It's actually a pretty neat concept. My only issue with them is how dumb the breakable walls on the Game are. I've seen survivors trap themselves a lot by complete accident and it's pretty damn hilarious.
It's something no one asked for but the devs actually executed them really well. Rewards the killer by stopping a possible infinite loop.
-
Unless you're going for the beeg BPs, Thrilling Tremors is more reliable than BBQ. Thrilling can seriously bum survivors a LOT when it blocks gens. It's really good for tracking too. Sure it has a cooldown, but sometimes you won't get any BBQ auras and 40m is pretty far.
I run BBQ more for the BP bonus but I run both occasionally (which is what I use for my Blight build sometimes).
-
Are you planning on buying DLC or the killer individually? If DLC, I'd say Pig (SAW Chapter) because all of Tapp's perks are good (Stake Out may be the weakest but it's my favorite). If individually w/ auric cells, I'd say Freddy. Freddy is fun for the first week of playing as him, while Pig is fun for a slightly longer time. Oh and she has wayyy better perks (aside from Hangman's Trick, that perk makes me want to hang myself). If you want to win, however, then Freddy is better.
-
It'd be kinda funny if the survivor accidentally cleanses their own totem. "Wait, where the hell did my perk go?"
I suppose to make it work for survivors, they can be colored differently, like brown or black to make them blend in more. The auras of these totems are shown to survivors. HOWEVER, it has a cost of being a bit invisible. These totems will only take 1-2 seconds to destroy. If all survivors are running hex perks, they will all be merged into that totem to prevent ridiculous stuff from happening. I'd imagine survivor hex perks to be powerful, like a permanent 3/4/5% Haste status effect until the totem is cleansed. Of course if the killer goes into a chase with them, they'll be getting their very own Cursed status effect that shows which hex perk cursed them.
Ideas for survivor hex perks:
- Hex: [PLACEHOLDER] - Gain a 3/4/5% Haste status for the rest of the trial. If you get hit, your speed during that speed boost is moderately reduced. If a survivor Hex totem is cleansed, this perk deactivates.
- Hex: [PLACEHOLDER] - Each time you unhook a survivor, gain a token. You can get up to 4 tokens. If there is a dull/Hex survivor totem on the map, this hex is transferred to that totem when the exit gates are activated. Each token gives a 10/15/20% action speed boost for opening exit gates. 100% bonus bloodpoints in the Survival category awarded post-trial, even if the totem is cleansed. (This is pretty much a hex version of Wake Up! with a bloodpoint bonus.
-
The biggest meme build of all time. Not even No Mither + Self-Care can be a bigger meme than facecamping bloodpoint farmer Bubba.
-
As people have said on here, he's DLC on PC. He's not OP though, he's just annoying to play against.
-
You were being toxic with your flashlight. We all know using mechanics in the game are toxic. Even pressing WASD is toxic! Holding M1 on gens is toxic, unhooking your teammates is toxic, taking hits for your teammates is toxic, crouching is toxic, running is toxic (Too fast for the killer to keep up), looping is toxic, vaulting is toxic, opening the exit gate is toxic, using items is toxic, using any perk is toxic (including No Mither, Lucky Break, and This Is Not Happening), etc. etc. etc...
All of these only apply if you are playing survivor. We all know killers are NEVER toxic, and they have the right to facecamp and nod at you for playing the game. You know what, ######### it. Playing survivor is toxic. We should be ashamed of ourselves. All of us. Except people who exclusively play killer in DBD.
-
Funnily enough what you claim is toxic isn't toxic at all, so I agree with you. Crouch spam and flashlight clicking is only toxic if you're doing it at the exit gates.
-
You're only cheating if you're using the stream to track the survivors' locations. Other than that if you're just trying to say hi to a streamer with their ttv in their username then that's not stream sniping. In your case it's 100% fine, you're not stream sniping at all, you're just trying to have fun!
-
I would have done the same 😔

Sure but the same can be said for spirit. If it's UNHEALTHY, then it should be reworked
Spirit is WAY easier than Nurse.
-
Wouldn't it be kinda brutal to throw away a killer that people have practiced for hundreds, even thousands of hours?
-
lol
-
Tbh I'm excited for the chapter release mainly for the killer, not because he looks cool but because his power has a charm that I love. I have horrible aim which is why I don't like playing Huntress and Slinger but Trickster's on a whole new level. I sucked at him when I was playing the PTB but the buffs they gave to him for the main event ability doesn't seem like much but it seems like a lot to me.
While the Blight, Wraith, DS, and new perks are more hype-worthy, I just can't resist but be excited to play as him.
-
Myers would crush all of them and stand on top of their bodies all in one pile. Nothing can stop Myers...
...except a sweaty SWF with DS, Unbreakable, BT, DH, and purple flashlights with double batteries. They'll ######### on Myers like nothing and make him cry in the corner in Ormond.

Kindred is bbq for survivor better you can see killer and your team please nerf no counter play
I can pick almost any perk and complain how its op
Kindred and Prove Thyself: Ultra OP pls nerf meta build because you can see other people doing gens and you can go to the gen they are working on for TOTALLY EZ GEN RUSH!
-
He's a pretty powerful killer. His power is very similar to Demo's, but his addons allow him to slow the game down by a lot, and if you use Thrilling Tremors/BBQ (TT is bettter for Freddy) and Pop on him you can instantly regress gens. Also he has very strong anti-loop.
