It's not the same as hillbilly's or ghoul's fast traversal, it's more like dangerous mobility. Like if you are in his line of sight within that range and you don't have a wall, you're risking being caught. Which is actually pretty useful in countering prerun W gameplay and running from loop to loop especially with brutal strength.
To be honest though, the S tier killers with better mobility all around are arguably still better at this aspect especially hillbilly. Regardless he does still have pretty great mobility compared to the worse killers. I mean I think most of the time his mobility is for more useful than something like springtrap's or sadako's teleport trash, which aren't horrible just not really as helpful. On the other hand freddy's teleport is far better because it's directly on generators and also he has his powers to somewhat counter holding W afterwards.
It's not bad catch-up tool on short distance, I agree. Even with that, I find myself pretty often in situation where I won't use it anyway just because I will be powerless for next 11 seconds, so it's more useful for me just take some W and then use power instead.
https://youtu.be/jnb1lLDlIsQ
So even with if we use it for mobility, like in best case scenario on Midwich hallway, it saves you 2-3 seconds of time compare to average 4.6 killer. And on some tricky map with a lot of LoS blockers it will save you almost none. There is a good example. It's not mobility at all, it's just "slightly better 4.6".
And what I want to add to topic is that Wesker second most overrated killer by community after Unknown. Nah, unlike Unknown, he is not bad at all, just slightly above mid level, high B at best. But seeing how many people place him around best killers is absolutely wild to me.
I know it's hot take and many people will disagree with me, but I think 3 charges from 2v8 should be his basekit on normal queue. Because even with 3 charges he is just below Dracula level. -
@Rokku_Rorru said:
I feel he is by far the funnest high mobility killer to play against, I always have the most fun interacting with him and feel the S-tiers should be closer to him.
has a high skill ceiling too for skill experession (if his sliding is still in)Always funny to see Wesker and high mobility in one sentence. Jump on 21 meter and then lose another 3-4 meters due to cooldowns is barely mobility at all, entity forbid "high" mobility. Literally every second killer has better mobility than Wesker.

Krasue got overnerfed. She’s not worth playing anymore.
Vault definitely was overnerfed, it's completely useless in most scenarios, but she is still solid A tier anyway.
It's hard to play her against good swf who knows her counterplay, but it always was that way.

It’s fine to heal when your team has reset build. Me personally running a whole build for this with empathic connection, so survivor can find me later for a heal. I also use resurgence, so if teammate doing a trade, I can reset fastly enough myself with medkit. Heal is the meta I personally prefer over any genrush :)
I wish more survivors run this, because seems like almost no one understands how much impact these perks bring. Drop your fckn Deja Vu and equip Botany or Do No Harm, it will save significantly more time for you and your team.
I was running Emphatic Connection, but I just dropped it. Watching how another Sable use her medkit in 5 meters near me for 10 matches in a row and in her head running "We she is yellow? Is my WoO bugged? I can't drop or vault her it seems"... exhausting.
But I almost always run at least 1 healing perk for years and now enjoy Solidarity + Autodidact combo. It's almost a crime don't run any now, when altruistic healing is almost absurdly strong.
-
I actually super glad it's gone, because it was not "basekit bbq" at all. Unlike BBQ, it just showed survivors with low hook states. And this info could really be harmful to me as killer, misleading me into chases I don't want or don't need to take.
BBQ is great, because after unhook I can collect info about map and make decision based on that, PTB form is just taking your hand and saying "oh now you are going here, don't make decisions, just follow". And it's awful way to play the game. Left alone the fact it just keeps me away from my goals as killer.
So I hope they will never reintroduce this mechanic, unless it will be actual BBQ instead. -
Perks should not be nerfed or buffed based only on pick rate.

Technically that isn't QoL either. Showing the resolve bar on the hud gives the entire team the info that the killer is near the hook. It's basically a base kit weak Kindred. Definitely not QoL.
QoL is supposed to be a "feel good" change that isn't impacting balance for either side. An example would be the auto recovery on ground, that would be a QoL, since for killer you wouldn't even notice this. It's just a feel good convenience for survivor, not a buff.
Whole forum is keep saying that basekit Babysitter is "nothing and worthless", so how do you expect these people will describe such a small and insignificant thing as information? QoL. And how they describe change where killer can see hook states? Killers buff, tunneling buff.
Same people who crying how bad was 6.1.0 even after 3 years +, but keep completely shameless ignoring at least 5 huge survivor buffs and ton of small buffs since then.
Truth is that it IS QoL for majority of players, because not only they don't pay attention to this info, they also don't know what to do with it. You know how many matches I saw where 2 people were on hook, 3rd person was in chase and last one just relaxed doing gen? 3rd person goes down and this player pop gen. "Hey killer, I'm here, your last person. Wait, you come to me, why? Let me unhook them. No? Ah, broken killers. Slugging is such a problem." If not hundreds, then definitely dozens. All these people will call anything QoL, what don't takes them by the hand and effortlessly leads them to the exit. That's why old CoH, old DH, current Syringe are "balanced" by their mesures, because macro and micro plays doesn't exist for them, and only value they are able to see is here and now: crazy big and instant. It's just game where they press m1 on gen and press space into window to take distance with Lithe, and it's about it, not more, not less.
(If anything, I'm not talking about ReverseVelocity at all here) -
Not their first time and not their last time.

I just need to talk it out, because this thing has been on my mind for a month now because of how dumb it is.
"… conditions to activate it aren’t very difficult". I understand that devs needed some sore reason to describe this Pop nerf, but this is such a spit in the face. Saying this about one of the most demanding on activation perks is just a mockery of killers or complete misunderstanding of their own game. And I just want to compare it to some things on survivor side, which I see every game, because, once again, win some time, like many other things, allowed only for survivors and arrow turns exclusively in only one direction, when it comes to balance discussions.
So to activate Pop killer needs:- Find chase
- Win chase
- Hook survivor (and it's a challenge now in some matches, thanks to sabo buff)
- Find a gen, which at least has 50% of progress to win ~15-20s on average
And that without keeping in mind that you should pray that gen won't be poped into your face; that you will find a chase before using it and need to decide to lose perk value or ignore chase; that you simply won't have time to go check all gens after hook unless you are high mobility killer in most matches on majority of maps.
So let's compare this insanely easy to activate perk to things that require a crazy amount of work to buy time on survivor side:
Syringe: Press M2+Space to win 24-32 seconds.
Toolboxes: Bring item to win 10-20 sec. Add BNP to win even more.
Exhaustions: Do usual chase to buy 15-20 sec on average to it. (Easily can win a lot more)
Bring Medkit + Syringe + Exhaustion and it's already 1 gen time value during the match. It's one survivor value.
So don't forget folks: killer bringing 4 slowdowns = overpowered.
Survivors bring over 300sec of time savers/wasters = balanced and allowed.
I don't complain about slowdown nerf, since I don't play and sweat to win in most cases anyway, so slowdown is just a tool for me, with which I get more chases. I complain about devs allow themselves to make statements that are so far from reality and no doubt extremely biased. I complain about community's hypocrisy (what is understandable, because survivors are majority), that extremes should always be banned/nerfed on one side, but they can safely exist on the other for long years.
Thanks. Just needed to say it. -

Only because people killed themselfs on hook against her to skip dc penalty, if you struggle against her with solid team that didnt give up than killers like wraith are too much for you (even the fact she was weaker than curent wraith).
Nah, devs said that matches with go next on hook were something like 3%. Idk how it's true, when AT LEAST every second match I saw someone dc or go next, but it is what it is.
Anyway, 70% KR didn't make her strongest killer or something, similiar like Vecna and Freddy or, even funnier, Onryo aren't strongest killers either just because of their KR.
It's literally same Onryo situation: killer has side objective, which is ignored by majority of players > obviously they lose more. -

They dropped it completely reworking her was taking too much resources, was a lot more complicated than they thought and to avoid another Twins rework failure. So they just keeping her as is with some buffs.
- Drones rotate faster
- Hinder small increase
- Survivors no longer immune to scan lines while Fast vaulting
- Faster cooldown between Drone placements but slightly less undetectable
- Few others I can't remember
Yeah, I saw buffs, I just didn't see any information about them gave up on rework. Thank you for information!
-
Wait, did I miss that they dropped her rework?
-
My friend was fired from his job when coworkers found out that he was easy target for tunneling in dbd... Everyone was laughing and pointing fingers at him. My friend's brother was camped in dbd and dropped school because of it. He just couldn't stand it anymore, camping, tunneling, home work, classes… no.
I even heard a story about guy in our town who was camped and then decided to live as a hermit in the mountains. He was so tired of being constantly watched by killers on hook that he decided to choose path of Isolation…
So many broken destinies due to camping and tunneling. DBD is not the same anymore… -
Balanced around what? Around really good players? Blight, Billy.
Around average pub level? Vecna, Houndmaster, Wesker.
-
I mean, we had good matchmaking with MMR on release, but we had 5-15 minutes queue with it as well and everyone complained about it.
Now it's awfully bad and I think it's where most game's problems come from. I really hope we will get something at least tiny bit better than we have now at 2026, but I honestly think it should be #1 priority over all "anti" mechanics and other things. Because they're trying to fix the effect, not the cause: you matched with opponent with completely different skill level.

I don't think it's the greatest idea, because if you put 4 good surviviors in a team, result shows below.
I really think killer experience would be bad.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/KDZJRPPE2EIN/image.png
Only yesterday we played 40 matches (I know, that's around 7 hours of playing) of a good swf team (around 30k hours combined) and lost just 3 of them with the killer having 3-4 kills.
Solo queue on high mmr works the same, if everyone knows what they are supposed to do - that's mostly a win.
Nope, good swf will be just matched with sweatlord Blights, Ghouls and Nurses, like it should be. And all these streaks will be impossible on both sides. 2k win streak means nothing, when 99,95% of your matches you just destroy opponents way lower you. If MMR is working like it should, 10 streak is already solid number.

- Temple of Purgation is okay, I feel. That map sometimes spawned unreasonable deadzones along the sides of the Temple, but now has a more reasonable spread of resources.
- Mother's Dwelling skews too much in favour of Survivors now. The main building and shack have always been very strong, but it was evened out by the fact that you'd have some gaps where there were just trees and rocks. In other words, the existence of some deadzones balanced out the presence of a strong and accessible main building. Currently, there's safety everywhere and its too oppressive for the weaker Killers.
True, but I'm glad they removed this stupid god window in main building, it was most popular request (after make MD smaller ofc) even before rework.
Every smart survivor on this map just ran to main, because understands that if killer commits here, he will lose at least minute literally on nothing.
I'm not against add some little safety instead near main (not like it is now), but this god window should never return. -
Temple of Purgation definately needed it, before update it was absurdly empty sometimes. Now it's fine.
Mother's Dwelling? It WAS fine before, now it's on survivor side. -
I honestly fine with it. Yamaoka was kinda balanced realm before, but I don't feel like it was buffed to some stupid degree like other maps, just better consistency, like it should be with other maps.
-
I don't know why survivor sided map needed buff at all. And you didn't even cut it before buff, like you did with Disturbed Ward, just buffed giant map with a lot of safety.

I love the changes on this realm, but this is more a general feedback to the tile updates:
Please keep the extra lockers you've added, I love them on Dredge and I love them as a deception/head on userYep, I agree on this. More lockers is definately best part of this update, not only it helps Dredge and Trickster/Huntress, but I also love it on survivors, it helps to some builds.
Coldwind is mostly fine now, but sometimes it spawns too much now. I saw Rotten Fields and Cowshed with pallets every 5 meters and it were miserable matches for killer. Max amount of pallets should be lowered. -
Haddonfield is one of the most balanced maps after update imo. I don't feel like have no options as survivor now.
-
MacMillan and Autoheaven (except Gas Heaven, it was survivor sided even before) were both balanced realms and you just made it crazy survivor sided.
In Mapping the Realm polls I said that all these maps need consistency and pallet density update was good for it. For example Coal Tower could lean on one side or another, depends on rng. But add loops every 5 meters? Nah, nobody asked for this.
And Shelter Wood isn't fine as well, like people said here, it can spawn absolutely busted and unfair variations.I'm just standing near main and there are 8 good pallets around me. And it's like only 1/3 of the map. And it's not even best rng I saw since update. Who should I play to deal with it except Nurse?
100% all MacMillans should be reverted and instead just make previous spawn more consistent. -
As expected, as soon as killer become somehow good, you can open forum and see bunch of pointless "problematic" and "unhealthy" words which simply replace "I can't handle it" incorrectly.

Was really surprised for a second and then I remembered how they usually treat addons.
"Hey, there is great addon for 0.1 SECOND less cooldown after flight on Vecna. Such a viable and not op option."
They did it Clown's addons, Lich and last one was Dracula. I'm surprised how Pyramid Head got solid addons, because I'm pretty sure that anyone who designed killers' perk and addons last year's barely touched them at all.
-
Yun-Jin, because of MEEEEEEEEOW. Because she is cute and has good outfits.
On killers I don't think I main someone anymore. I was Artist and Blight main, but I didn't touch Blight maybe in half-year and on Artist I almost don't play lately, especially after pallet density update. Now I enjoy pretty big roaster of killers. -

- Maybe hide the items the survivor is holding in the lobby so killers can't strategically use perks to go against it.
- Onryo should not be able to teleport back to back to get someone condemned.
Little mind-blowing secret: if you take tapes, Onryo has no power and can't condemn you.
I honestly don't know why it's so hard to understand after 3,5 years this killer exists in the game, but stats once again shows how many survivors don't understand and don't want to understand even basics of the game.

And it's great. With 5 maps in rotation right now I only even more convinced of how much better game with map variety and without players possibility of making their match in 10 times easier for 3k bloodpoints in their bloodweb.

You force survivors play ping pong longer, not killer. Killer already "said" he can do it long enough.

I feel like it’s just because of how easy he is to counter since survivors no longer have to go to a specific alarm clock. It means that I have to run Nancy sketch if I really get any use from the power.
Yeah, true, being powerless killer for 30 seconds is by far worst thing about playing Freddy. I really wish they get rid of immunity and maybe just give longer timer after using alarm clock, but since Freddy somehow has highest kill rates, it's just a dream.

"So many giant buff" umm like what? A few additional UI elements and then nothing else ever? Functional matchmaking? Anything to counter brainless tunnel/camp? Seeing teammates perks in the lobby so we can synergize loadouts? Nope, nope, and nope.
Yeah, exactly this type of players I'm talking about. "Few additional UI elements", lol.
No unhook grabs was one of the strongest soloq buffs and biggest nerf to "brainless camp", but everyone forgot about this in 2 weeks and continued to act as if nothing had happened, like you now. Not only you always needed 2 survivors to unhook with camping killer, but there was a big chance just give to killer 2 free hooks while you tries to unhook and pretty much end game here. But yep, pretty sure you will say something like "oh just minor buff, barely noticeable, not a big deal".
+10 seconds on hook is also pretty big buff. I wanted to explain why, but then reread your answer, where HUD itself was ignored as strongest soloq buff… why I even waste time on this? You are exactly this player, who will always blame everything in this game, except yourself. They can add AK-47 and you'll still blame the game and killers for shooting yourself in the foot with it. -

i mean, yeah, but at this point there will be no excuses left.
it will be entirely boiled down to a "skill issue" to which any reasonable (my bad for expecting that tho) developer would respond there's nothing they can or will do.
Lots of team games have atrocious solo q, DbD isn't unique here. If you're so asocial you can't find people to play together in a TEAM BASED game, maybe you should go play something else if you can't cope with losing to bad teammates. There's conveniently a killer role that offers exactly that in the same game.
i mean, yeah, but at this point there will be no excuses left.
Yeah, I kinda want it more for that reason. Because soloq got so many giant buff that I can't read all these "poor soloq" doomposts anymore. And some form of communication literally the last argument in the question "what soloq is missing?". And I wonder if these people will claim that soloq is "unplayable" on its own even after that or will they finally accept that soloq is completely fine and players and MMR are problems?

>I partially agree with you. I think survivors need to overcome the killer in the 1v4 aspect to win the game; otherwise the assymetrical nature of the game would make no sense. Even if you are a 1v1 god, you need a good team to support you, doing gens, eventually bodyblocking, saving, etc etc.
yeah but this can't happen if killer isn't allowed to focus one guy turning the game into 1v1 for early game where survs are at their strongest due to high amount of resources and difficult to pressure gens (too many to control).
killers cant be inconsistent and outplayable (to the degree they are right now in general where you can easily get +30 seconds to chase by playing for distance at the right moment or looping the killer for long enough) if the killer needs to win twice as many chases on average for their 60% killrate.
and yea, macro is important, but the game keeps being designed in a way to move away from it on the survivor side beyond general strategies like splitting gens / dying good spots. survivors already have enough tools to beat all of the "annoying" killer strategies in basekit, but they either dont know how to use them or cant access them because solo q doesnt offer proper communication options
but they either dont know how to use them or cant access them because solo q doesnt offer proper communication options
Meanwhile 7k hour survivor in my team yesterday: get out of Trapper's trap with Honing Stone within 10 meters of me running to him. Twice. Trapper was on other side of the map both times.
People really overestimate how much communication will give to soloq. It will be nice to have for already good players, sure, but it won't be any better at all for bad players. Communication won't fix "guys I almost finished my gen and you didn't even touch it" or "dying under survivor on hook just did this match ten time harder for whole your team" or "can you please last longer than 10 seconds in chase against m1 killer on a map with thousand pallets?" or "maybe unhook in first ten seconds isn't a best idea if you see that killer tries to tunnel out this person?". Communication isn't as big a problem as everyone tries to make it out to be, lack of brains is. -
