yeah your right this game shouldnt take any skill.........

It should take skill from both sides not just killer

  • I think survivors should get more point because they lose addons now i think thats fair and i also believe they should get more point the longer a killer stays at a hook so if camped you at least get good points so its not a total waste see im not totally biased

  • You know the deal survivors whined and got thier way while sabo remained broken

You should be punished for things your TEAM does, it’s a TEAM GAME. You get rewarded with safety if your teammate brings BT, your adrenaline pops even if your team does all 5 gens without you, etc.

Yes bad teammates can sink everyone, but an elite looper can carry a team too honestly, it’s a trade off. This would be like playing football and wanting to count all of the TD passes your QB throws, but his interceptions don’t affect the team.

Thats right touchdowns get called back all the time because a olineman held or a tightend was covered up in the army if somebody acrews up people die in business one persons screw up can cost a company millions so a bad teammates in dbd should effect you

Just don't let them have infantry belts if they use iri heads, so that they only get 1 shot before they have to reload

That woukd give survivors easy wins

A game should be balanced and fair as best as it can be. Most other's addons are mostly balanced. Iri head is not and always feels like you were downed without much you yourself can do, other than hope the huntress is bad.

Changing it will not effect huntress herself or the huntress mains who are even half decent. It will only remove an addon used by poor players who can't hit their shots.

and i can judge who i want, people who take cheap wins instead of working to improve their own skill speaks for itself

Yes because iri heads takes all the aiming out of throwing hatchets it put that magic auto aim on and makes them invisible to they also follow you until they hit o wait no they dont if you cant hit with regular hatchets you cant hit with iri heads either

And since it's not a practical way to play, should they decide to change the insta-down requirement to over 24m, they might as well delete the add on instead of pretending it's to make it some sort of show of skill.

Considering they deleted a perk that required a survivor do something that literally had "skill check" in it, because it was too hard.

Thank you survivors are way to comfortable these days with second chance perks and speed burst after getting hit dont want to get insta downed juke better

  • Ill tell you from experience a walmart bag would be better it makes no sense closing everything down then inciting panic telling everybody to bombard stores to hoard food and toilet paper every day

  • @OtakuBurrito said:

Of you rely on perks and add ons to be decent with your killers of choice you aren't good at them. That's true is every game.

Ruin and NoED have created a lot of terrible killer habits that are now coming to light. Ruin is actuallybbuffed IF you were already pressuring gems and forcing survivors into unfavorable set ups. Because one ruin is gone you still can run Pop or Overcharge to make escape damn near impossible.

It's the same with BBQ and Cheater. So many killers rely on it and claim they only use it for BP but are now bitching about survivors taking head on and always in lockers and it counters them getting info.

Please dont run ds bt adrenaline or use keys because they are carrying survivors bringing up terrible survivors to red ramks

Almost no perk in the game requires skill except maybe whispers or dead hard.

Flashlight saves require preciscion and timing.I've seen soooo many failed flashlight saves because the survivor didn't have the right timing or angle.

Unfortunately almost everything a survivor can show his skill in is more or less related to chases.

I respect great loopers and i can instantly tell a rank 1 red veteran from a 18 green but the flashlights im getting blinded looking down looking at walls from behind its ridiculous

  • @Lexilogo said:

While I'm not against Legion buffs and this is a pretty creative idea, what about things from the Survivor's perspective? Feral Frenzy is already basically a free hit and saying to the final 4th Survivor "well, because your allies screwed up, now you're hit with the biggest penalties of all of them" is a bit eh.

I also think Legion is already fine WHEN you get a full Feral Frenzy mass team stabfest and doesn't necessarily need even more reward in that situation IMO, I think Legion's issues lie in other areas.

Still wouldn't be radically opposed to a buff like this (especially because 35 seconds of Feral Frenzy speed offers a lot of interesting new opportunities for creatively capitalising on your stabfest) but those two counterpoints seemed too obvious for me not to point out.

But playing survivor is playing on a team and part of being on a team is dealing with teammates failures you win and lose as a team everybody contributes to the team wether its positively or negatively so yes you should be punished for bad teammates because you are being rewarded from good teammates

  • Its over survivors won they got their the only thing we can do now is make sure they dont win the billy freddy doctor iri head huntress noed mori battles their coming for every strong killer, perk, and addon

I'm not asking for insane skill from every killer.I just find it more fun for both sides when everybody has chances to outplay each other.

And survivor need skill to do good.I'm pretty sure you see the difference between a good and a bad survivor immediatly.

What skill does ds require what skill does bt require all the best survivor perks require no skill flashlights are bugged out most of the time so they require no skill the only things that require any skill from survivors is looping and skill checks

Well toolboxes got nerfed really hard and keys are definitely in need of a change as well

You know what I mean though survivors never complain about fast games they win but if they get moried or tunneled it was unfun not getting to play well its not fun for killer when 3 gens pop in the first minute and you only get 2 or 3 chases max before gates open

  • @OniWantsYourMacaroni said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/141442/freddy-is-op

Freddy is by no means overpowered, but i do agree that he's very easy to play and get good result as and very very boring to play against just like clown.

Wouldn't mind if they would change something so there's more skill involved on his part, but it's highly unlikely that he's going to receive major changes to his power any time soon anyway because there are way more killers currently that would need some buffs/reworks.

Im so tired of survivors always demanding this insane amount of skill from everything killers do yet all your best requires no skill

But they definetely need a change.Offerings shouldn't give you free wins like that.Super frustrating to wait 10-15 minutes for a game just to get killed in a few minutes.

But its fun to bring toolboxes and keys to gen rush 5 minute games moria are fine

No other killer has an addon this mindless and easy to get insta downs with

    • Myers has to completely fill up to Tier 3 and his addons make it harder
    • Deathslinger has range requirement
    • Spirit can't see scratches but can see blood
    • Clown you must hit them with a bottle, then M1 them

Changing it as even Peanits, a dev whois known for being reasonable, thinks it might need a change

and what huntress main goes around using Iri heads and being proud of it? I have never seen one and if they do exist, then they are gross

Like i said others weakness shouldn't effect huntress and what tyoe of person judges others for using an addon in a video game now thats gross

What about what I said is survivor sided and biased?

    1. I main huntress, and most other who do as well find Iri head to be disgusting
    2. Other addons of similar quality have extra conditions, best example is deathslinger having a range requirement for an insta down
    3. You're wrong

Deathslingers addon being weak shouldn't effect huntress in any way made his needs a buff instead and you dont know or speak for every huntress so your opinion is just that your opinion and mine is its fine as is

######### are you on about. Three time in row, killer either camped or stayed around the hook. Once unhooked killer went straight for me. He repeated it until i died. All while no gens were done and i am at rank 1 playing against rank 1-5. My definition of camping and tunneling is fine dont assume #########.

This happens more often than you think it does.

Why sre your teammates trying to unhook in his face in the first place do gens and leave sounds like your team ran to the hook as soon as you were hooked of course he wasn't gonna leave if he knew others where there

Grammar and punctuation, please. It actually makes your replies understandable.

As for your point, NoED punishes players for their TEAMMATES doing poorly with no input from the killer. Survivor is also mostly an information game, more than it is a skill-based one. Let's also keep in mind that Exposed is the single most powerful effect in the game.

I play slow killers, I literally branded myself on here as a Pig main, after all. I know EXACTLY how important old Hex: Ruin WAS in slowing the game for them. I also know how to use the new Ruin and just how devastating it can be. If you refuse to put in the work, on EITHER side, then it is not up to certain perks to bail you out. That is exactly what old Ruin and NoED do, same with the old insta-heals or original Mettle of Man.

New Hex:Ruin is both incredibly punishing to survivors if they leave it alone, and actually rewards skillful play in the killer's side IF USED CORRECTLY. You cannot rely on it like old Ruin. It is how a perk should work. The change was 100% justified.

Well ive been apart of plenty of teams and ive played sports football a team game if a teammate screws up or isn't as good as their opponent it usually hurts the team thats how teams work so yes you should be punished for your teammates mistakes you are benefitting from their contributions so you should also suffer from their failures and im going to say this with nothing but respect i dont want to hear about leaning on a perk when survivor meta is 4 second chance perks that require no skill pure crutch bs nerf those then we can talk

  • @Jejune said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1191656#Comment_1191656

I don't like being tunneled 3 times in row at 5 gens, just because killer feels like it. He is wasting my time. He isnt playing the game at that point. i much rather DC and wait 5 minutes than stay in the game and be miserable for another 5 minutes for the 3rd time.

He was playing the game and most people dont agree with survivors definition of tunneling

  • Theres always causalities

  • If the devs are saying expect 2 or 3 gens to be popped as soon as the game starts fine just make it where the more gens you do the longer the next one takes so the killer doesn't feel like they lost the game in the first minute

  • @Jejune said:

In my opinion it does nothing but enables people to bully eachother.

Decisive Strike is now a perk that at least one person needs to carry because there are more tunnellers than ever. It is a necessary evil, and the only one I consistently see out of the list that killers complain about.

    Borrowed Time deals with campers.

Adrenaline is only a small and temporary boost when endgame is triggered.

There also aren't that many people using Spine Chill, but it is just a solid anti-stealth sperk for survivors.

It does also feel like there are a lot more people running NoED lately, and I think that it is an issue because it is a fundamentally badly designed perk. Now before you try and lynch me, my issue is the warning that people don't get. If it warned you of exposed, like every other expsoed effect (except Devour Hope, but you have to earn that one) then it'd be fine.

If survivors were to lazy or to cocky to do bones they dont deserve a notification theres to much info for survivors in the first place and what do you expect killers to do especially slow killers like clown or buba you just took the only thing that gave you any o hope of an early game or at least getting to the middle of the map before 3 gens pop in a minute of course they will start to play for endgame

If you truly believe that Nurse and Spirit didn't need a rework I invite you to get past rank 12 as a survivor and learn to play the other side :)

I got survivor down pretty good reeee killer has a power nerf reee killer has an addon nerf reee you tried to down me but it hasnt been 1 hour since ive been unhooked reee you spawned on the map your camping reee your not letting me and my team get free unhooks reee gens are boring they should be done in 5 seconds perfect rank 1 survivor

  • @designator said:

Ok cool let's rework maps to reward killers that don't understand how to effectively use their power or know when to abandon chases. Maps should have relatively stronger and relatively weaker locations. Especially when windows like that are often near the basement. But I guess let's pander to the vocal killer mains on this forurm. The funny thing is map like Hawkins and Lery's are FAR more killer sided than Iron Works is survivor sided (Didn't even make top three) yet we don't hear anything about those being reworked. I especially love the new pallets on maps like saloon where the killer can "mindgame" by strafing back and forth and get a hit in three seconds.

Well they had to make up for the pandering survivors got with ruin nurse spirit a worse breakable wall location instant deathslinger perk nerf etc..

  • A perk that can be taken out at the start of the game or just powered through didn't need to be nerfed but survivors got their way again like always

An instadown is fine, but having three chances to get an instadown on a survivor that's right in front of you? That's just stupid.

Having 60 seconds of god mode after geting hooked is stupid to but its part of the game so i deal with it

You can't dodge an insta down if you're locked in an animation vaulting a window or throwing a pallet down.

You're sprouting nonsense. Can you please engage in a proper discussion?

Well thats to bad you entitled to hyper armor doing thise actions

  • If one of the slowest killers that also hums her location across the map has an insta down thats fair to me the way you play against her doesn't change you just dont get to make as many mistakes if you can dodge her regular hatchets you can dodge iri heads

any decent huntress player never uses them anyway 99% of the time

they are a relic of how the game used to be.

for those who say "OMG DONT NERF MUH KILLERS" look at recent killers and addons changes, no killer should have something this strong.

32m like Peanits said would be good

    So survivor sided and biased

  • They have all the second chance perks in the world and they have peks that hard counter killer powers they can even remove a killers most power ability ebony mori and still want more nerfs its selfish how much more do you want the game in your favor

  • The constant chant of hes not fun to play against and hes brain dead easy are their way of trying to nurse him

  • @T2K said:

Although I dont usually use iri heads, I never had a problem with them from both perspectives.

I think you shouldnt compare huntress to deathslinger. Imo the hatchets are much easier to avoid than the harpoon. You have a windup time with soundnotifications and can also see huntress aiming a hatchet. With the harpoon you can only really react if you see Dslinger aiming down his sight.

Either way I think the suggestion is pretty good. This way you wont trash iri heads and dont feel too bad for using them.

Nobody should feel bad for using them now there fine its just whiny survivors crying about them because they cant get easy escapes

  • He fine but they wont be happy until him nurse freddy and huntress get the nurse treatment

  • Sorry not sorry insta diwns are part of the game killer has advantage so what the entire game is survivor sided no berf needed nerf your ds bt adrenaline bs first

  • Its perfectly healthy survivors are just entitled want every killer to be slow weak and unviable if they cant get 2 hit 3 hooks and free unhooks they cry for nerfs its disgusting

Because you can't get better for Xbox than what I've got, and considering I've already spend about $300 Aus in the game, I'm not switching.

Old Ruin was NOT fine because of it. Old Ruin literally punished a majority of console players for playing the game, between slightly choppy frames all the time, controller input delay, and the fact that my TV is at about two meters away from my face, rather than 30cm, saying "Just hit great skill checks" is not a good validation for old Hex Ruin.

I can go into great lengths as well about how newer killers could lean into the perk and be near carried by it, it only being useful against lower ranks and a majority of console players, the devs saying it was covering and skewing important statistics. However, that probably goes against the PC killer bias you have presented. Saying "get a better rig" is also not exactly a good justification either. Not all of us can afford or care to have a high performing gaming PC, maybe some of us prefer the overall guarantee of performance from console gaming and the feel of a controller in our hands.

I am an Xbox player who has a neutral perspective, as I play both sides. In my opinion Hex: Ruin V1 was not a very balanced perk, and it's REWORK was not only better for those who were able to adapt and accomodate it's new use, but it now has it's power accessable over ALL ranks with arguably equal effect. It also synergises better with other perks such as Surveillane and rewards skillful play on the killer's side rather than punishing bad/unlucky play in the survivor's side. Sometimes it is perfectly FINE to not pursue a chase for long to ensure that generators are not being worked on.

Thats bs because survivors lean om bt ds adrenaline and spine chill but those unhealthy perks aren't nerfed into the ground uf you couldn't hit the checks do the bones its that easy didn't have to be nerfed and it was nerfed

  • @PigMainClaudette said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1190529#Comment_1190529

Well, the thing is that it's something that the player can do, and something I did myself.

Peanits and Almo did also say that they needed to look at the statistics WITHOUT Ruin used in 90% of all games.

As for the killer "meta", I believe that they have a problem with their priorities. Most of them tend to base the "meta" around the ease of a 4k, rather than the emblem system. Both are inherently flawed approaches, but emblems mean rank. Hillbilly is technically TERRIBLE to rank up, considering the "proper" way to play him. Legion is fantastic, since you can do so many hits, amd force people to waste time with mending but is widely considered a weak killer.

Skill check related perks are an inherently flawed approach, since they are so random to generate, or in the case if old Ruin, punish certain types of players for not having an optimised PC rig, such as console players, who the chance of actually hitting a Great skill check is pot luck half the time. They (myself included) were one of the loudest voices against the old version of ruin.

As a Pig main, I highly understand the importance of old Ruin and it's stall potential, but this change has forced me to adapt and grow. I therefore welcome it.

Why cant survivors ever adapt and grow its not the killers fault your rig isn't good enough old ruin for fine

This is a lie. Ebony Mori’s are way more common than this. I am seeing them every other bloodweb level at least. It’s quite ridiculous and something needs to be done about them. The game isn’t enjoyable with ebonys. I can understand a green one and yellows are almost useless. But ebonys are too much. You don’t need to go around putting people down because you’ve inevitably found them once. The fun part of the game thrives off of survivor - killer interactions and when there’s something that literally diminishes the amount of times you get those interactions then it ruins the game. Keys are necessary, Mori’s aren’t. And my reasoning for that is because keys allow people to escape when things get too hard to do. There have always been alternate methods of escaping in every survival video game. You don’t ever want to leave anyone feeling hopeless, because where’s the fun in that? Mori’s literally allow killers to down and hook someone then use that person as bait so as soon as they get unhooked they just get Downed and Mori’d. It’s unfair!

So survivors get an easy out but not killer i swear you entitled survivors are the worst part of the game

It's just frustrating to have a killer as easy and boring as Freddy do so much better than a killer that requires so much more skill does. A somewhat decent Freddy with a few hours in the game is already on the level as a experienced Huntress with five times the hours the Freddy player has.

Well maybe those killers shouldn't be so hard to learn and play not the other way around

  • @Joelwino said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1189581#Comment_1189581

I already stated my points, running around snares is pointless since the distance you lose is basically the same. Freddy only takes the skill of a basic M1 killer, only less mindgames and moonwalking since his kit has an easy to land slow. His snares are really big and once you screw up once (like the window vaults interacting with the snares thing you mentioned) you never do it again since his snares aren't hard to place. There is not a high skill ceiling for Freddy like there is for Huntress or Nurse. Once you have the basics down there is nothing left to learn and you get stuck in a cycle of arriving at a loop, placing a snare and either getting a hit or breaking the pallet as the survivor runs to the next loop.

Its good hes not like nurse she was already hard to learn now she is hard to learn janky and not fun to play her use has gone way down

  • There are no downsides survivors constantly acream about strong killer powers and perks that font have crippling downsides whats good for the goose is good for the gander gonna need to see some janky unfun devastating drawbacks talking nurse level

  • No you already have broken perks like bt ds adrenaline spine chill no need to be more op
