Like keys... Oh wait, that is totally relevant and comparable. Hurry shout WHATABOUTISM! Like some Harry Potter spell to blind people to the obvious.
I like Absolutelyrelevantism better
I disagree. people are not just shouting "whataboutism" blindly like a spell when its a legitimate concern. This discussion is specifically about first hook Moris. You could sorta mention keys since they are comparable, but when you start talking about swf or second chance perks or whatever that is clear purposeful whataboutism to district from the main discussion. This is a problem. Keep the discussion to moris (and keys).

I actually highly recommend to use object of obsession in solo. The reason I occasionally use it in solo is because matchmaking is still horrible and probably will be for who knows how long, even when it does work and I get paired with red ranks they seem to last very shortly in chases which hurts the team. If you want to get better at chases I would slap it on if I were you, best of luck!
Well I do wanna get better at chase. Do you really recommend this?

Yeah i want an in game messaging system to talk to others and be friendly to. They could do this by having an in game messaging system that you could check in the lobby while your waiting to go into a game.

I disagree. A petition would make everyone's voice equally heard provided if they agree with the subject they are petitioning for. Remember to be effective a large majority of the community has to agree to the problem.
-
I get what your saying but wouldn't this have a negative effect. Imagine there was a LGBT character, a person who is homophobic could tunnel the person because they are gay or leave them to die on hook because they are gay. That would be terrible.
From someone else who is also gay and wants what's best for the community I feel doing this could cause more harm than good.

Specific killers? cause for me it's only Huntress and Myers
Sorta. In my experience I have gotten really bad hits from doctor and spirit possibly because of their longer weapons. Also I have noticed with wraith and oni there is an issue with their swinging being finished and I still get hit.
-
As a survivor main something I want fixed is hit validation. Sometimes killers gets hits that really shouldn't hit. I get hit though pallets a lot as well. The issue with hits is that they are really inconsistent, which could end up hurting both survivors and killer.

The real question is why are you so against running more than 1 meta perk? And why do you have to ask people if something is meta? Just run whatever you want, who cares if you run the meta or not if you find it fun to use?
Well the reason I ask is because I have heard a lot of discussions of how its overpowered to run multiple meta perks. So i thought that if I just run at least one to make it more fair. Should I stop doing this?
-
After reading all of this, I have determined that dbd players are the most immature and petty players ever
-
I guess I could understand why. You can barely find any totems on lerys so that third seal is staying up

Nah, even with an obsession they tunnel. Just had a huntress tunnel a feng right at the start of the match with 5 gens up. She used her DS and still got tunneled and gave up. I ended up letting her hook me and suiciding to the next match. You want a fast game and low points, Ill give you one.
I Guess the obsession mechanic makes it so that your less likely to be tunneled. But the thing is that DS is not even a good anti tunnel perk. Once its used that gives the person ability to tunnel with no consequences.

Seems interesting. Maybe I should try it

This is why breakable walls are terrible for the game.
Why? its taking away a survivors resource. Which in this case its an infinite.
-
In my opinion Ghostface.
His stalking mechanic is terrible and inconsistent. There is no reason why he should be stalking in the middle of a chase that's makes no sense.
A lot of people are toxic with him because he can spam teabag. ( i hate teabagging. If its toxic for survivors to do it its toxic for killers as well)
-
In my opinion i think they should make it so that other survivors loses points for not going for saves and letting survivors get sacrificed.

True, i hope they also get rid of the green hue in Autohaven, the farm one can stay if they make it realistic like the Higgins Haven from Ft13th. The only things i don't like are the lack of new landmarks and the color of the grass.
I Hope that green hue in autohaven is also gone. I thought I was the only one.

I'm sorta glad they changed it. That blue hue was abysmal and ugly to look at

Before I was an adam main i was a David main ( for obvious reasons) but then I prestiged him. After I did that I stop playing him after a year since I lost all my perks and items I stocked up on.
I don't understand the point of prestiging if the rewards in doing so don't justify the risk.

Copying this straight from the wiki, because I think this is a decent example of why Discordance I was better than Discordance III:
- Due to how Discordance works, the highlighted Aura is technically a cool-down towards the next Aura reveal. This gives its Tier 1 more frequent updates than Tier 3, making it, information-wise, one of the few Perks whose Tier I iteration is better than its Tier III one.
Ok then i understand. But thats wierd isn't it why wasn't it brought to the devs that this effect should be gor tier 3 and not one since it's better?

Imagine the personality this can add to survivors tho. Assuming it isn’t text and will be said vocally by each survivor with their own voice, it would add more each survivor. If it could vary between survivors it would give them or than looks too. Like I would love to hear someone like Detective Tapp or Bill say “Get your hands off me!” when they’re trying to tell somebody to not heal them. I would definitely have to main the survivor with the best voice lines :)
That would add more depth to the characters and give an excuse to play different characters.

This idea is very interesting and original. I've seen too many people say "gIvE sWf A sPeEd PeNalTy" without giving it any thought, and my response has always been simply why Survivors should be punished for just wanting to play with friends. The way you balance SWF is to buff solo Survivor and then you balance Killers off of similar strength of all Survivors, unlike the huge disadvantage that solo Survivor gives compared to SWF.
That's the direction I think we should go in fixing swf. We have to buff solo in order to balance the two since swf is better.

I can agree Object of obsession can be problematic. I have a suggestion for a rework
What if they changed it so that it only shows you the killers aura for a few seconds when survivor are in their terror radius. And the killer sees the survivors aura for a few seconds when they leave their terror radius?
It should also be activated if your the obsession , that way multiple people can't use the perk in a swf.

When in a chase and noticing a lit totem or the hatch this can be directly indicated to the team. The team at that point can send someone over to cleanse the totem or with a key organize an escape.
When a killer breaks chase, the player can call this out and making it far easier to avoid the killer.
When a gen is nearly completed while working on it solo, but the killer interrupts them this can be communicated and someone can swap from their generator to that area and fix it.
If the killer is near the hook, this can be communicated to indicate when it is safe to come for the save, whether to stay on gens etc.
It gets even worse when one of the members wears OoO they can simply state exactly where and what the killer is doing throughout the trial and the team can respond all 4 to that information.
There is simply benefits to gaining this information that is usually reserved for slot perks, no need to carry information perks and therefore opening slots up for other perks to help you in your gameplay such as chases, generator completion, healing, etc.
Seriously if people do not understand that information is extremely important in this game?
That said people that claim it would be bad to know how large the teams are you are facing, that killers would instantly all quit the lobby... frankly noticing that there is a SWF is in there is quite simple, many have a tag or similar names, wear the same outfits, pop into the lobby at nearly identical times and one can inspect profiles. It just makes it a bigger hassle, why the need for secrecy?
Ok i can understand what your saying about information for the most part.
But in the end doesn't it just come down to skill. A swf group can have all the information in the world but of they don't have the skill to survive then it makes the information useless doesn't it?
A killer thats able to effectively outplay survivors by mid gaming and just basically having good game sense, can easily beat a swf. Thats why killers like otzdarva and monto can 4k nearly every game.

This has been explained to death, I just don't think they care. No one is interested in a compromise, they're fine as long they aren't the ones who miserable, despite the fact that both sides should be concerned about this.
The appeal of DBD is the mystery at the start of the match, but I get it. I understand using Discord, I just wish it didn't break the game. It's another issue of the devs needing to get with the times.
I'm am all for making the game fair for both sides, but here to me his argument was a bit flawed that made me unconvinced of his main point.

So you are saying that knowing where killer is/other survivors are isn't useful or gamebreaking? Really? Also, just because you figure out the perks, knowing what they are because you were told instead getting to know yourself like in example with spirit fury, can be game changing
given that the information i have is useful. In 2 man its even less useful imo. But gamebreaking I don't think so.
And just because others know the perk the killer has doesn't mean they won't have any use of it. If the survivors know that the killer has bbq that doesn't mean that they won't get any use out of it.
-

I'm not going to cover all examples since I'm going to miss some and there are just too much. Here are most gamebreaking from my opinion:
- Any killer aura reading perk, like OoO or Alert - one sees killer's aura and tells the others. Even knowing the brief position is enough for survivors to adjust their moves.
- One survivor follows the Trapper/Hag/Gorgon tells others where they leave their crap so others are more cautious. It's most gamebreaking for trapper, since you have so little chances of catching people in traps, that you can just give up on using them.
- One survivors knows if killer has certain perk - all survivors in SWF know the killer has that perk. For example good survivors tend to pre-drop pallets against spirit fury. Against good solo survivors the combo can be used up to 4 times if none of them happens to see it proc on other. Against SWF you can capitalize on that combo only once, then all survivors will do ######### to counter it.
Nothing wrong here, yeah.
To your points made sure you have information, but it comes down to if the information is useful or not
1. Perks like alert does give you information but its not very useful. Alert makes it so that the killers aura is show when they perform a break action. The problem with this is that this is not useful information. I could say to my team that the killer is braking something but thats vague. "The killer is breaking something." Is it a pallet? generator? Door? This doesn't help swf. And Object of obsession may be broken in swf but thats a flaw with the perk itself and not the team that uses it.
2. This has the same flaw with the first one being that the information is not useful. To good survivors when your playing against a trap killer you assume they are going to be placing traps near windows, pallets, loops and the basement because that's an effective strategy. You don't need a swf group to know that oh the killer shack has beartraps around. Relaying this information isn't useful to good survivors, you might as well tell me that humans breathe air.
3. You can often tell what perks the killer has based on their play styles if the game doesn't outright tell you. For the example you provided you can still get use out of the perk if survivors make a mistake. Sometimes survivors can make a mistake of what perks tha killer have if its not obvious.
In conclusion thees issues may provide information but the information has to be useful to make any sort of impact. And if your arguing that they shouldn't have this information then I have to say that it was information they were going to get regardless right? What does it matter that they get the information sooner rather than later.

Because the fact that 2, 3, 4 survivors can share and gain information that they were not supposed to have directly brake the game. Just because some survivors are so terrible, that they lose even with that, it doesn't mean that SWFs don't need fix.
"Information they were not supposed to have"
Could you provide some examples to back up this claim?

It not competitive in the slightest.
I have already explained my views on this being a competitive game so below. I was responding to someone elsem
(I Would disagree. There are multiple perks that do different things, different killers with different abilities that leads to a wide range of different play styles.
I'm also using the literal definition of a competitive game, which is a game in which players are pitted against one another, and the outcome is a state of which there are winners and losers. Just because there are some RNG mechanics doesn't mean it's not competitive right? don't some competitive games have RNG that could determine the outcome?
And not to be mean but to say the outcome is determined largely by RNG seems a bit hyperbolic to me. Could you provide some examples?)
-
I mean I'm unconvinced of your argument as to why swf needs a nerf. Especially against 2 man groups.

Dude, it doesn't matter how's that compensated, the very fact that players can freely gain access to unintended advantage is unacceptable
I'm sorry but i just don't see it when great killers are able to get 4ks against swf.
I'm all for making the game more fair for both killers and survivors but for this instance I'm just unconvinced.
-
@Justalittlepeeck said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1686071#Comment_1686071
Any. The problem just becomes worse and worse the more people are in SWF. 2 man SWF doesn't brake the game the way 4 man SWF breaks it, yet even communication between 2 survivors out of 4 is unfair advantage.
I would disagree and say that 2 man groups are fine for the most part as there still are a constant number of unknown variables that make it a bit more fair imo
But wouldn't the best way to fix swf would be to fix solo (specifically matchmaking) ? I assume that most people play swf because solo is extremely frustrating. Im using my personal experience here but I have been playing solo a lot lately and its not fun to play with people who have no clue of what they are doing. So they play with someone at least who is close to their level who knows how to play the game well.

Easy:
- Restore killer matchmaking
- Restore anti-smurf measures.
- Killers gain a bonus 25% BP for every survivor queued together.
- Generators take 15% longer to repair for every survivor queued together (or) survivors will have their matchmaking rank increased for every survivor queued together.
Anti Smurf?
Also what do you mean by killer matchmaking?
