It should be about 15 minutes.
-
As @NerfDHalready said : report the streamer to Twitch.
-
You can still go to the end without that killer right?
-
@Mushwin said:
A luxury Killers have is, they don't have team mates who can ruin things and mess things up for you, and some do it on purpose as well, esp if you are solo in a swf match, is like yeah gee thanks team for leaving me on a hook, not bothering to help and just ruining things, I am all for having fun etc, but comes a point at times that survs take the piss, I miss my swf squad!
Playing with a bad team is one thing.
But from where I stand, most of these cases are players who go down first and pretty quickly. (And usually have high "prestige".)
-
I can't stand that behavior when these are in my team, they ruin the match.
If a survivor has given up against me (and been saved nonetheless) I usually slug him for the rest of the game. It doesn't happen that often though.
-
I kind of understand a Trapper or a Hag dodging a full P100 lobby.
It wouldn't give an interesting match for any side anyway.
For better killers, it should be an interesting challenge though.
-
The current flash-light saves can even be done easily while the killer is carrying. It's too funny.
As far as I'm concerned it's all good because I don't mind to slug and I usually get the would-be savior always crouching nearby.
And yet they keep trying. So cute. 😄
-
I had a game where the four survivor did nothing but hide for 45 minutes, all recorded, all reported : nothing happened to them. (In game report + video in additional report).
They had that perk to make some noise, its name escapes me at the moment. They were using it from time to time.
It's pretty clear they came in just to waste time.
-
With that many kills I'm assuming you are around 1k hours.
This means you should know by now : you are damned if you do and damned if you don't.
A couple of days ago I played against a full SWF of clones trolls (yay) with Legion (daily, damn) on the garden of pain (damn damn damn).
Their collective build was geared around destroying hooks "forever" (compared to the duration of a match), being unhookable (6 "grunts" and they escaped my grasp), marginally not sluggable and MFT ... I think.
This is the first "bully" squad that has survived for a very long time (I honestly can't recall the last time it happened. It's a first this year at the very least.).
My biggest regret? Not going full-on from the start (I didn't managed to get the 3rd hook. Had I been immediately serious I might have). Also, playing Legion with a basic build.
Morality? Always go full on. You can still decide to loosen up if the survivors are all crying at four gens.
edit:
I always play "nice" now. What I mean by that is that I royally spank the survivors and hook them twice, then I don't hook them until they have done some gens (I still slug, but not the four at once). I even let some survive if I pity them too much (I'm a Nurse main and bad matchmaking can be bad)
If I underestimated them, I'm still in a good position to win. Also, the remaining ones are usually happy to have survived. They often give me their stuff before leaving. (It feels nice.)
-
Depending on the hour of the day, I can be matched against survivors in the two digits hours. I've (way) passed 3K hours on my Steam account alone. I can kill them as Nurse without blinking.
Never play after midnight.

I have idea for killer buff give killer friend so it's 2vs4. 1vs4 is always going to be unfair unless the less numbered side is completely OP which is not fun for survivors then...
So ... two Blights? Two Nurses? A Blight and a Nurse? A Nurse and a Doctor (for detection)?
-
@[Deleted User] said:
You can run Lightborn and Franklin's, but you really don't need to. Look at a wall or any tall-ish object when you pick up. If you can't, slug them and find the person lurking nearby. Just follow a basic flowchart: can I safely pick up>no>slug and find the lurking survivor.
I can't believe you don't have more up-votes. That's a succinct yet complete answer.
-
I certainly miss Hawkins but we got Midwich (love it) and RPD (don't enjoy it) since.
-
WoO, that's your clue for survivors being worse?
I agree survivors appears to be generally less skilled they used to be years ago, but WoO is certainly not a sign.
I blame every limitation added to the killers they do not have to learn to counter anymore to be efficient.
(Full disclosure : I'm not nor I have ever been a good survivor. I'm average at best, IMHO)

Well, I have got 4 notifications already in the last weeks. They take their sweet time to do something after you made the ticket, however.
Also, don't use the chat tool to send the video, I have notice that when you open the ticket that way it doesn't appear to attach the video. Open the ticket manually.
I use the ticketing system and a link to a youtube video. Then I wait the ticket to be solved to see what they've done.
They've banned some people, but also not banned teleporters caught on video nor that Russian streamer whose blood stains were suddenly spaced more after a corner and that I could never catch.
I don't think I'll bother reporting anymore. Too much work for too little result.
-
@Nazzzak said:
Best tell is the blood pools. If they're suddenly spread out more/less close to each other in certain parts (usually when out of your line of sight) then it's probably a speed hack.
I reported a survivor telling he was speed-hacking, with video and comments about the blood spacing : nothing happened to him. (I keep the Steam ID of cheaters)

The best improvement to my forums experience is the ignore feature.
If anyone is unaware, you can go to your own 'edit profile' and manually add users to an ignore list to never see their messages on here. Doing it through your own profile works even if they have set theirs to 'private'.
I've put a few names in there. The few annoying ones who can't have a reasonable and adult conversation are in there (also one instance of a guy I truly pitied and wanted to forget altogether). It made reading the forums a way more enjoyable experience.

@Katzengott said:
Solution is simple: Basekit Unbreakable is only active after all gens are done. On top of that they should finally get rid of hatch.
Because sometimes killers need some slugging pressure during the game. Take that away and they'll tend to camp and tunnel even more.
I'm sorry to say that I often kill survivors before they get all gens done.
One of the reasons is that my play-style often involves slugging two or three survivors (sometimes four, when they royally mess-up). That's how I keep the pressure up and slow down gen progress.
All this to say : that limitation you suggest wouldn't help.
-
I only play Claudette. Her general complexion used to give her an advantage on the (then) darker maps.
Maybe the differences you've noticed can be explained by the sound or how flashy/stealthy are the toons you are using.
As killer, can tell you I often detect survivors just by hearing their breath. Some are more perceptible than others.
-
I just remembered this one while reading the other stories.
It took me about a year to realize I had never properly kicked a generator. I think it was because the kick progress bar reached its end too fast and I didn't know I had to wait for the sparks.
It's a good think Ruin was a thing back then.
-
When I started playing, somewhere in 2019 (I think) i tried a few killer.
I had fun with Trapper and Wraith but there was that useless piece of asthmatic killer that was utter nonsense:
Her power was to look at the ground and to pant.
In the end game lobby, some survivors, touched by the utter noob that I was, told me that I had to charge her power.
That was more than 32000 blinks attack ago. 😆

Yeah, I also had it happen just as Wesker was about to hook me for the third time, and a singularity yesterday I think? It's happened quite a few times and usually it's when I'm winning or losing because it feels like it happens aroudn 10 minutes or so in when the match is already winding down.
Though I have not had it happen when I'm playing killer, which might just be chance.
This is very interesting because it kind of adds weight to the technical issue hypothesis (by opposition to the hack hypothesis)
There have been at least a couple of discussions where players noticed that it only happened when they were winning (one by myself).
It's almost reassuring. (Better a bug than a hack.)

Fortunate, I wouldn't mind as bad if I wasn't getting penalties because I could just queue up and my only loss is bloodpoints or challenge progress, but the timeout box is really annoying right after getting robbed of a good score in the end
I note that you were winning. Do you ever get this while not winning?

Just give it a try. Been playing solo all day and except the occasional toxic players, it wasn´t really that bad.
Really?
I'd propose to group but I know you are way better than me as survivor. It wouldn't end well ... 😅
-
Yep. Same thing, only when I'm winning as killer.
I don't get a penalty though.
-
I had no in-game feedback after reporting two duly documented teleporters (video and all).
Looking at their Steam profiles, they haven't been banned either.
I'd post the video but I think the name of the profiles are visible at the end.

Where in Europe? London servers have a Survivor queue of like 8+ minutes for me rn, killer is instant.
I'm pretty close to UK and Germany. I guess I can be on either servers. (I know I play on the same servers as Otzdarva)
Today, same thing. 100% incentive to play survivor, long killer queue. So weird. I'm not playing of course. Playing solo survivor while there is an event usually amounts to exposing oneself to streaks of game throws.
Meh, I guess I'll play something else.

@SunaIIanu said:
I think it might just be the game, atleast for me it seems to crash more in the last days. Yesterday it crashed right as I was being deathhooked, must have looked weird from the Killer's perspective.
I assume you're a nurse main, so you probably win more than you lose, so could it just be a coincidence that you see a connection between winning and crashes?
I main Nurse as killer but I play all killers. The issues have happened with Spirit (my first time ever) and Trapper. (Yes, when survivors are overconfident, even Trapper can rip them a new one.) Once with Huntress too.
That being said it never happened when I play survivor ... but I seldom "win" as survivor.

You gave visibility to the problem, avoid someone saying that you are claiming there are cheaters in the game because you are high on copium, and maybe making it more public BHVR decide to forget their CU index and start banning more people.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3565176#Comment_3565176
You were the one saying that you can't post videos in the forum. We only tried to help you. If you don't want to do it, it's totally fine.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3565180#Comment_3565180
If you are talking about Steam profile, take in count that one thing is Valve's VAC banning someone, other totally different is BHVR banning a player off their game. The game has it's own anticheat (EAC), with it's own account, meaning that most than probably they would not show as banned in their profile.
Also, you now receive a notification when actions has being taken against the person you reported. They only say the reason and when those actions where made, but at least you know the reporting did something. I received today the 3º one in this week.
There are VAC bans and game bans on the profile.
I wouldn't expect a VAC ban but I expect a game ban (as demonstrated by a streamer who spent a lot of time reporting cheaters and checking they got banned.)
Most of my reports led to a ban so far, but the last two were just disgusting for me. It was so clear they were cheating.
-
Not triggered once during normal gameplay.
Was able to use the mechanic to spare a survivor on the hook when the 3 others were slugged and lost or dead.
Pretty good so far.
-
From the killer's side, I've noticed an increase of badly matched opponents. The kind of matches where the one survivor who isn't hooked is slowly self-caring on a corner of the map while the first of the three hooked ones is about to be sacrificed.
It's painful.

It is not copium, in the last months there has being a rise in the number of cheaters in the game and a number of post of different people along with it saying the same. Some of them are obvious, others very subtle (or trying to be):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t_K5dFUQ3eQ&t=155s
https://imgur.com/a/jgNP2EJ#khIAORG
And I had another 2 waiting to edit the video and send it as proof, one Leon that didn't get two hits and an Ash that was speed hacking and had the same speed slugged as running.
So, it is a real problem.
This reminds me that Russian streamer I've versed several months ago (before MFT)
The guy's track marks were way more spaced after each corner while he was further than he could possibly be.
Reported (video & all) ... no ban.
Yay.
-
How about that. I just had 3 gens popping in a matter of seconds (2 survivors, no gens were being done a few seconds before) then my game
crashedscratch that : my game closed without warning. (There is no crash log on the event viewer.)There is definitively something new with the wastes of skins out there.
-
A month ago I've reported two cheaters (two friends teleporting) with incriminating, documented, time marked videos in the additional report.
The tickets have been marked "solved" but the cheaters have no game ban on their profile.
Somehow, I don't feel like wasting my time on a report anymore.

@MikeyBoi said:
This might be a good feature that could be implemented into the game at some point.. if the lobby is detecting a game where survivors are getting steam rolled and the killer has let’s say 7hooks already with 5 gens still up the lobby should just straight up forfeit the match and any in game bloodpoints earned during that match will be kept.. This can also work vise versa too.
If the cut was a bit less hash ... why not xD.
Although it may feel slightly insulting.
@Amshnock said:
this has happend to me a few times. Had a speed hacker that just sucked even with hacks. Every time i dropped her and would pick her up it would freeze the game for about 30sec then unfreeze so I tricked her one time she used speed hack an got stick in the corner I downed her an left her there she got a bird so i picked her up and right as I hooked her it froze and I got the same screen as you.
its part of the hack. easy to look up and its there in the read me.
If devs can confirm this is a hack, maybe these lobbies should be reported.
Unless they detect the crashes themselves and keep track of who is in these hacked lobbies to find the culprits.
-
Good to know I'm not the only one feeling like this.
-
Sooner or later, most of my games usually end-up as four-slugs anyway. After that it's only a matter of finding them back or going for a coffee if I can't easily find them.
-
Bots are cheating by knowing the position of the killer at all times.
So their looping ability is pretty high.
The rest depends on the match I guess. My bots tend to play OK except when they crouch during a chase >_>

" playing with a handicap"
You mean playing a killer i dindt played before?^^
That too but I was referring to playing "nice" : not tunnelling and not camping.
-
That's all you'll get for playing with a handicap. Some players will just take that as a signal to be rude.
Play to win or at least to have fun.
Don't bother going anywhere close to the gates when you know you've lost. Instead look up, go take a drink and come back after the EGC has collapsed and the fools have waited all that time for nothing.
-
My account was in a kind of corrupted state when years ago, I've asked for it to be closed.
When I came back about a year later I used the same GUID to create a new account but could not use my name anymore.
I've chosen a somewhat random name to replace my original one.
There were a few mentions of features we would get in the game "soon". I'm a dev myself and I know pretty well what "soon" means. It's one of my favorite replies when I need to give a date for a project., One could say I have a trademark over it ;)
Hence Dr "soon" (TM).
-
I don't see the problem.
You vote with your wallet, plain and simple.
I've not bought the last DLC myself. Although to be perfectly honest it was mostly because I expected the bait-and-switch (the killer being nerfed two weeks after release).
-
Depending on how they change the PTB version of the anti-camp, it may be the last games for a while too.
I had too many instances of not camping yet the survivor unhooked himself.
Most happened while I was in a chase. Bullshit, plain and simple.
I will not tolerate that happening even once in the game. That'll be my cue to leave for a few months (depending on how fast they fix it).
I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one.

My fav will always be OoO nerf. They refused to nerf this perk for long years because obviously OoO user was dying most times.
I wonder why.
It probably takes genius level insight to understand the reason, isn't it?
-
Killer : more active (gens are a snore fest) and you don't depend on your teammate's plays (solo queue).
-
I just had two tickets closed.
They were touched a week ago or so.
The only part I don't get is that I had hard proof of teleporting for both tickets (movie and all) and the accounts don't have a "game ban" displayed.
-
The first reason I can think of is:
What kind of backside do you want to see all game?
As far as I'm concerned, it's the soft round squishy kind.
I'm assuming your preference is the square kind ... (?)
-
Claudette.
When I started to play, the concept of Blendette was a thing. (Nowadays it makes little sense with all the bright maps and Ormond)
-
Unless you really care about winning you can take that opportunity to "go make a cup of coffee". If I see a hated map more than two times in a session I can't be bothered to play it normally. I play it with zero effort.
@[Deleted User] said:
The map thing drives nuts. I swear it's something embedded in the code. If you are playing a killer whose power is severely restricted on indoor maps, you're going to get indoor maps half the time. There are 30+ maps in the game and I get Lerys 2 times in 5 games and RPD in another on Singularity. Why is this a thing?
I think I've heard/read that if you were winning "too much" the game had a tendency to chose a map where you had a tendency to lose. Just saying it makes me think it's probably not true but it certainly sounds like something they might do.
