Yup, as expected I literally knew that you were gonna mention nurse and the devs not caring about info cause so many people mention it. Let alone the fact that seeing a Nurse thread is as rare as me willingly completing almost anything, but Devs DO BLOODY CARE. NOT EVERY DEV TEAM IS THE SAME AND THEY HAVE SO MUCH TO DO AT ONCE. Just bloody wait and eventually Nurse will get changed again.
Yes you saw gameplay footage of literally Billy holding his chainsaw and hitting 1 survivor....not for “How long does it take while Billy is sprinting to overheat his saw” or “How many add-ons affect his saw’s Overheat”. You need to think away from all the negatives and look at all the positives. He still has almost everything that made Billy who he was, they didn’t just throw billy in the trash. And hell, recently Pyramid Head actually did change from the PTB through his perks and some of Cheryl’s perks, so there goes the “Devs don’t take feedback seriously” argument I am tired of hearing about.
YOU don’t know how strong a killer can be through a video, ONLY YOU can know how strong a killer can be by actually playing them.
Not trying to come off as rude but I swear almost every change that happens to a killer this argument is used and its starting to get really old
If its getting so old then why don't idk.. AVOID THE THREAD. YOU'RE LITERALLY ASKING FOR MORE BY COMMENTING ITS YOUR FAULT. Like it doesn't make sense, you say these threads get old yet you keep on clicking on them instead of ignoring them. Is it that hard man?

B. Try for Hatch. If Killers finds it first: Do other actions like brake totems, til the timer runs out.
C. Try for Hatch. If Killer finds it first: hide (because you are scared or wont give killer satisfaction of hooking you)
D. Dont bother with hatch or Exit Gates, just do totems and open chests until timer runs out.
E. Hide until timer runs out.
F. Other (explain)
B or D for me.
If I have Calm Spirit running I'll run around hoping to find hatch (I hate alerting birds, otherwise) otherwise, I try to find totems for extra BP.
F i stand by the exit gates first. Let the killer close the hatch and i leave by gate. Works depending on how far the gates are

Well considering its what we wears when he goes to childrens parties and kills kids yeah it looks creepy. Like if a man in an elephant suit like that one who looked just like the clown came up to you and your kids would you just be like "Oh haha thats funny!"? No you wouldn't. FNAFs art style isn't even horror its literally cartoonish and not real
This game really isn't scary tbh. The only time its scary is if its jumpscare myers and ghostface, that's all

The bunny mascot is from silent hill and has always been regarded as a freaky character. The elephant suit is also once again more creepy than flat out horror.

Theres literally nothing scary about him
How is the elephant suit creepy? It looks hilarious likr are you ok?

My experience is quite the opposite, I see moris quite often, but rarely ever I see a survivor bring a key.
Keys are much more rare to find in bloodwebs, as survivor actually have a lot of purple/red rarity items available in the pool.
Ebony moris are on the contrary, the most common type of moris to appear in bloodwebs.
Moris can be used to wipe an entire team before even a single generator is done.
For a key to allow a 4man escape, they need all need to survive long enough to do five gens, locate the hatch and then meet up there.
A bad killer can still get a 4k, because he only needs to do 1/3rd of his primary objective (which is hooking the survivors to sacrifice them).
For more than 1 survivor to escape, they have to finish at least three out of five generators, which is already over the half of their main objective's progress.
In the end though, they both cut the game short, which is just uninteresting and bad game design, and as such they both should be changed.
Then honestly your team is just bad. A decent team can at least get 1 gen done when someone goes down unless you can't loop for you life

I seriously see no reason for her to be in the game. Her power would be a silly mix of Legion's feral frenzy and... What.. Billy's charge and Nurse's default walking (floating) speed... Thats really it.
Banshee however would be neat and she could be some what resembling the Witch, but be original instead of questionable licensed killers.
It doesn't have to be identical to the game you know that right? For example the pig yes she can put reverse bear traps on people but she can do so much more than that

Every killer is viable in redranks, it just depends on the player beyond. If youre a good player and know how to utilize the character, you can play which ever killer you want. If not, you just not belong to thus ranks. Killer players just tend to overcompensate their lack of skill with unbalanced stuff.
It doesn't matter how good you are. If survivors know how to do gens you're not going to be able to apply pressure. At leadt until PH comes

People were able to find a bug with huntress that she was no longer slow down winding a hatchet this was an unintended side effect of the clown buff now can you imagine if everybody immediately disconnected against a Hunters this would go completely unchecked until it hit live.
When cursed Legacy was released the Perk nemesis was extremely broken on Legion because of how deep wounds worked back then. Can you imagine if everybody disconnected against the Legion who was trying out the new perks instead of facing them again this would have hit live and it would have taken a lot longer to fix.
You seem to act like just because their survivors are skins testing them is not important I'd like you to remember all the ptb Kate Denson. Whose hook screams injured noises and voice in general was extremely irritating and uncomfortable to listen to for both survivors and Killers can you imagine if nobody tested that and that hit live
The ptb is a place to test out how will features not only interact with the game but interact with previous features.
This includes
Testing old killers on new maps
New perks on all The Killers
Changed perks on all The Killers
Testing any Killers that received changes
Testing any survivor perks that received changes
New killer
The new survivor perks
The new survivor themselves
How old survivor perks interact with the new Killer and mechanics
How old killer perks interact with the new Killer and the Mechanics
How old and new perks interact with each other.
If the ptb was exclusively only for the new chapter or the new changes you wouldn't have access to anything else.
Advising people not to experiment and test things out can actively be harmful to the game because it allows bugs and unintended features to slip by
First of all you can stop taking words out of my mouth, thank you very much. I said its fine you can test other things but expect DCs because people want to go against PH and clown. Its just facts, if i wanted to go against a ghost face i would have done it in the live servers. Im not waiting 20 minutes just to play against a ghost face when i can just go on live and get a 5 minute queue

You know people could simply want to try how perks work right. Trying it in a kill your friends setting is not the same as trying it in an actual game if I wanted to test how the new perks work on Pig. How is that any less valid in fact funnily enough I've seen people play the ptb while playing their main survivor ( not the new one) and not even trying the new perks so how is that perfectly ok but me using a different killer to test the perks or the map isn't
Even if it was the new survivor it doesn't affect you Because its JUST A SKIN. PH is a whole new character they are trying to critique. We are trying to see if PH needs a buff or nerf, im just saying if you play anything other than PH or clown expect DC's and have fun when you waited 20+ minutes for a lobby. This is coming from a killer main btw

To try him on the new map...
And see what worked, and didnt work, or report bugs etc... as others have said here too...
A 'Public Test Build' is for us normal players to try and use the new killer/survivor and for testing other things isnt it!
Granted, many WILL be expecting PH as Killer, or even Cheryl to be in many games.. but not all matches are all cheryl x 4..
We had a Rank 1 Huntress the other day at Coldwind farm, seemed like a normal match on that one, but i wasnt mad about it.
First of all there isn't every Cheryl because you can still get her perks and use it on different survivors. A new survivor is just a skin. But how is anyone suppose to critique the new killer if they are going against a ghostface? And if you wanted to try the new map with ghostface you could have just went into a KYF. Granted it is your choice to pick any killer other than PH but it's kinda seen like a dick move

I have for the first time used PTB, to see new survivor, map and Killer etc etc...
on the odd occasion i have NOT faced Pyramid Head, and encountered a Huntress, and others..
I personally DONT have a problem with seeing Killers already released on PTB..
So, after a few Survivor matches i thought i would take GhostFace into a match..
To see if i would get the new level with him and see how i did on it.
MAtch went fine, all ok. no problems..
I did this a couple of times, (not on new level, got other maps) then went back to Survivor, and all was fine..
Earlier i took GF back in and had two DC's as soon as i got a first hit on them..
At the end the chat lit up.. saying i shouldnt have took GF into the match.. and that they DC'd because it wasnt pyramid head..
I HONESTLY thought the two red ranks were sour because i took them out, (im only rank 18 on PC as i dont play killer much) but they said they only wanted Pyramid head.. so i said if thats what they really want. to play as him themselves...
WHO was i n the wrong here? Was i wrong to take a killer already released to a match on PTB??
Are their specific rules saying NOT to take other killers in??
I recorded the match .. not that ill use it in a clip though..
But i want to know was i REALLY wrong to take a GF in a PTB match?
Its not something i do really.. as its my first time on PTB.. and ive only been playing the PC version under 2 months..
Im normally on Nintendo Switch.. but the difference in EVERYTHING on PC version makes it better..
We dont have the chat on Switch' either.. so not something ive had before..
Why play GF on PTB when its used to try brand nee things?

Just want to say - people are not obligated to be grateful for getting content.
games like this are expected to be continually updated and have new content ever so often because if they don’t - the games usually get left behind.
I think there’s a fine line between appropriate disappointment and being extreme but yeah.
You're right. You're not obligated to be grateful. But completely going off on the devs just because it wasen't a character you wanted is just disrespectful and shows your true colors

You still made a horrible comparison between DbD and basketball. I didn't comment on his because it actually made sense when he was referencing it, and I commented on yours because yours was just a terrible take.
His example was of playing against inferior opponents. I personally read that as opponents who aren't as skilled. IDK how you interpreted it. Your example, however, was of somebody playing against somebody else with a natural physical disadvantage. As I said, you aren't at a complete disadvantage just because your number is lower.
But yes, just tell me I "failed an english class" because we're totally in school right now. Totally not because you have nothing to actually say in response to the points I brought up. Anyway, I will do you that favor and leave you be now. I don't want to waste my time on somebody who clearly isn't worth it and clearly doesn't want to add anything meaningful to the conversation.
Thats funny since you haven't added anything up either. If you go against someone your same skill its completely fair and respectable. What is there not to get? You are going to learn more against someone your own skill and can outplay them. If you go against a high tier and lose over and over you're not learning anything.
Now like i said. Leave me be, idc if you "don't want to waste your time" because 1.) We can't go anywhere due to corona and 2.) You act like you had a life to begin with. So bye bye

I have quite a bit of hours put in (I joined when Clown was the newest killer, so been a while but I'm not a founder or anything) and I still have plenty of progress to make on my characters. As far as I'm concerned, I don't care if somebody at rank 1 with tons of hours put in wants to bring a souped up flashlight with all the 2nd chance perks and wants to beat me that way and talk smack. As you said, this game's got a learning curve, so all I have to worry about is being good and once I'm not stuck with crap perks on most of my killers, I'll be able to be one of those killers that can afford to bring an ebony mori every game. Not that I would just always mori people off 1st hook, but I never use my moris anyway, so I might as well use it as a safety precaution more than anything.
I'd consider myself a mid-rank killer, since I usually end up around rank 5-9 or so by the time rank reset hits. I just don't think what you said about not being able to improve is true. You can improve a lot, you just have to tough it out until you can get good stuff on killers you like to be able to compete. Certain killers don't have as much dependency on addons but I can tell you from experience, playing as a Trapper for example, and having brown or no addons vs. the more expensive ones makes a huge difference.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1300987#Comment_1300987
Your comment is unbelievably out of touch. "A basketball player who is 6'0" has nothing to do with rankings in DbD, as the devs themselves even say rank has more to do with time played than skill. Even then, a rank 1 player can still play like crap. Somebody being a lower rank in DbD is absolutely no comparison to somebody having a height disadvantage in Basketball, because the number next to your name in DbD doesn't inherently give you any sort of advantage or disadvantage. So right at the beginning, what you said already falls flat.
If you say you don't learn anything from high levels, you're simply showing that you just refuse to learn anything from playing against them.
Wow way to read my comment and not the one ahead of mines. Im just gonna assume you failed an english class because if you read the comment above mine they were talking about basketball first. Do yourself a favor and leave me be

You can disagree all you wish, playing better survivors DOES make you a better killer. And don’t worry, when I said I’d kill 2 everygame...that does include Clown but not Cannibal, I’ll 4k that or 3 and an early hatch out.
May i see some proof of this
-
@IMhereRUN said:

Wow, dodging around the entire point aren’t we?
Example: I, like many others that have not played since debut in 2016...was a yellow rank killer playing against red survivors. Guess what happened!? I lost...ALOT. I became better, and now I’ll kill 2 everygame (exaggerating, more like 96%) regardless of the killer I choose to play no matter what the survivor’s skill level is at, and no matter if they’re a well-coordinated SWF or not. I’ve done it thousands if times now including strong survivor maps, including before DS and MoM and instaheals were nerfed.
If you want to quit because the difficulty is too strenuous for you resulting in not enjoying your gameplay experience, that is your choice. Not everyone will share your opinion, not everyone will share mine.
Bottom line: experience makes you better, enough said. If you wish to continue debating this topic, please be specific and logical with your input rather than voicing how it only pertains to you.
If you actually read my comment this does not pretain to me. But i'v had so many friends that quit the game because they were going against red ranks when they literally just started. How exactly is that fair? You don't gain anything from going against someone so high up it would take you way too long just to get to their level. And how am i dodging the point? YOU DON'T LEARN FROM GOING AGAINST HIGH LEVELS. Point blank period. If im a rank 15 and im going against a rank 1 im not learning anything. What instead im learning is that i should have never bought the game. I also don't believe for a second you can get 2 kills 96% of the time. Heres a challenge. Play cannibal or clown without any addons because most survivors don't bring items. Learn that

This is only teaching low rank killers that the only way to get better, is to play it. You don’t become the best basketball player by playing inferior opponents, you don’t become the best staring contest competitor by versing someone with Turretsyndrome, you don’t become a better killer unless you play opposition better than you. Facts.
The message is for lesser experienced players to ‘hang in there’, the more experienced players don’t need and probably don’t want my advice.
But guess what. A basketball player who is 6'0 can actually get better than when they are versing someone 6'0. Who would have known? Im an experince player but your advice is just trash. A rank 15 killer should be versing a rank 15 survivor. Not a rank 1 survivor. You're just encouraging them to stop playing the game because who want's to lose just because someone is waay higher rank than you are.
-
@IMhereRUN said:
You actually can and will get better from this. Yes, you will lose many games, yes it will be very frustrating, but with repetition you’ll learn that most great survivors are still predictable, which allows you to end chases more quickly.
However, there are still a few loops each match regardless of RNG that are strong and not mindgameable...these loops great survivors will run optimally, and all you can do is 1. Abandon chase (not recommended, as others will just run here also in future chases) or 2. Endure it, get rid of the pallet so now chases are easier. Just keep your cool, I know it’s hard, and think of it like this: If you can do good vs a good survivor team (especially a well coordinated SWF), then you can do great against ANY team.
Hang in there mate.
This isn't teaching low rank killers anything. It's just encouraging them to quit the game

If the game bugs that sucks but if you DC that's a cop out.
Having an emergency is a legit reason to leave because you have to.
But if the game bugs out then oh well. It sucks but ######### happens. Might as well just take your BP and take the death/loss. You're just giving people more reasons to leave, because not every bug will make you get stuck. Those are actually quite rare compared to all the other bugs in the game. I've seen killers get stuck checking a locker when the game was basically over anyway and they DC. What is the point of this if the game is going to end soon anyway? You do it to say "well I only lost because I got bugged" when in fact you lost because you lost and then just conveniently got bugged and used it as an excuse to justify leaving, which then makes it easier to make such an excuse in the future.
Please. Never be in my lobby ever. I mean ever. Espically since you take the game this seriously i really hope this is just a bait.

Sorry not a valid excuse. Unless it's an actual emergency like your kid just cut their finger off, take the L. It sucks when ######### like that happens but it's not enough to validate a DC. Just do what you can, play out the match, and accept that you lost. It's cowardly to back out of a game like that.
Im sorry what? Its cowardly to leave the game only if its an emergency? Are you a teacher? I paid as much money as you for this game and if something happens like it starts lagging or framerates im going to leave. Thats actually sad you think like that

Hey, everyone.
I'm a kind of tilted playing Killer... The first rankeds I played that (Rank 12-20). I had fun cuz I feeled like I had some chances and now I'm on Rank 10 and get permapunished from Survivor for being a Killer. I don't really have fun on play the Killer. I'm Rank 1 Survivor and I don't know, how Killers should win without Mori or stupid Survivor. It feels like pretty unbalanced even after deleting some god loops. Survivor have to many chances to bully Killer, not even through perks... The biggest problem is that Survivor can do Gens was to fast and playing Killer without "Pop goes the Weasel" is so annoying cuz you hit the gen and need like 3s for that and then comes a Survivor and goes on it and tap it, this just takes 0.08s. There is not a single punishment. Even if u take "Overcharge" Survivor can make the Skillcheck while RUNNING!
What's your opinion? It's just a punishment to play Killer.
I enjoy playing killer, however i feel like i can only play 2-3 games before being burnt out

My perk: REMOTE CONTROL
Your handy skills come into effect. Once per game you can summon a dummy that can be controlled to do your bidding. Destroys after being downed. The dummy can do gens at a slower pace and be chased by the killer, however this leaves you vulnerable since you're standing still. You can put the remote away at any time but the dummy stays on the field.
Hitpoints per rarity: 1/1/2
