the game is literally unplayable when killer can instantly break pallets without dropping chase. at least half my chases end with killer free breaking a pallet and i can do nothing about it because they don't have to stop moving even for a fraction of a second. meanwhile i get dream pallets and a 3 second window block in exchange. i cannot wait for it to be over.

    thanks

    -survivor main

So... You hate knights? It's basically his power, but yes, killer in this event is god, break pallets, insta down with bloodlust and resistance.

    -killer main

  • For me, to be honest, MFT gain some time, but in most of my games MFT don't affect me at all and I playing a lot of legion this days, the amount of time I see MFT doing nothing was a lot.

Yes,we have all been through there, that feeling of the maps being unfair etc, here some basic classic tips thay will help you with Wraith.

Now,before I start, don't get me wrong,I'm not saying you are not right, the maps and generators balance are a real issue, expecially in the things you mentioned, but you can mitigate these problems with enough gameplay experience on your part.

By reading at your post,I can say that you make often the mistake of committing to chases too much, don't do that, experienced survivors will bring you on a guided pallet tour through the whole map while the other teammates smash the generators.

What you want to do,is to apply "passive" pressure on the survivors, and the Wraith is excellent at this with his fast speed.

Basically, once the match starts, while cloacked,go find players that are working on the generators (don't commit to people that are running around the map randomly in the begin, you'll know where to find them later if they were running in the direction of a generator, maybe give them a hit if they are outpositioned and far from a pallet),once you find someone on a generator, start a chase, see how it goes, your main goal here is to apply hurt states and break as many pallets as possible.

If after 20 seconds, the chased player is still not on the ground, leave immediately and don't feel sad for it,at least you probably broke some pallets and created some dead zones in that part of the map.

Repeat the step in the begin,go check the generators,if done fast and well, the survivors will have to choose between wasting time healing or risk being on the generators in a hurt state.

That's it,with enough time and experience, you will become very good at this (you will know where to go to put pressure),but be careful, good survivors know about this and they will try to counter this tactic in any way possible (I don't blame them),they will bring medkits with insta heal add ons, toolboxes with brand new part, perks that help and reward doing the generators fast while injured (adrenaline and resilience being an example) etc.

For this type of players,I always bring with me perks like brutal strength or sloppy butcher (or the respective add ons that achieve the same results,Wraith can be very versatile thanks to them) so I can still be very efficient too and keep the pressure high.

Regarding other m1 killers,I can't help on that side (I don't own any dlc character and i don't have a lot of experience with the basic game ones) as I'm mostly a Wraith/Spirit main player.

Out of context, I never use wraith, thanks for the advice, maybe I try him some time, he is one of a few killers that I need to reach prestige 2

  • You are probably new in the game.

So... All your points are problematic.

Doc is not OP, in the end he is a m1 killer and pre drop or bait his power can buy a lot of time,l.

Long range killers don't have mobility and are good only in chases, 90% of loops are terrible for long range to play because they need to see you.

Hooks and wiggle are fine and hooks and wiggle already can be abused by sabo squads.

Pallets are fine, otherwise we will have infinities back and that will be a huge mistake from BHVR, infinity self recovery was already tested in a PTB and guess... It was a problem and easily abusable.

I like the idea of ToT being buffed, but I'm not sure this is the way. I think allowing ToT to stay up across multiple injuries is super cool, but for some Hyper-mobility and instadown Killers I think it may be too effective, especially in lower skilled/soloq matches. Even then it could empower (proxy)camping a hook and gen you just kicked, forcing the other Survivors into a lose-lose.

I'd much prefer the cooldown to be dropped to like 15-20s so it could be used frequently (with the current injury removes limitation), or maybe 30-40s CD and it is lost on putting someone in the Dying state.

I think the current ToT is under appreciated (such as on Myers with longer/infinite T3s), and I most certainly would like to see it buffed, but I'm afraid this might be too powerful in certain hands.

The buff is nice and your point is irrelevant for the perk, is like saying that some perk are OP in 2 killers and nerf the perk because of this, if the killer camp the gen... Just rush the others gens and GG.

  • Man... This post is crazy... I'm main killer, I know that some maps are really bad for every killer, and dbd for new players is a real challenge, just chill and play the game without care, spend some time in the game and eventually, you will became better.

Just for some contest, no... Matches with all gens completed are winnable, is difficult, but not impossible.

  • Have 3 gens done in 60, 70s on the first chase is not fun as well

Here's what I have experienced so far for having a P100 character in Dead by Daylight:

📌 in-game harassment and judgment for investing in a character I like

📌 people assuming I'm suppose to be invincible

    📌 getting called sweaty or a no-life

📌 killers lobby-dodging when they see me as if I'm an e-sports legend

📌 made fun of at game-chat because somehow being P100 should've guaranteed my win

Here's what I haven't experienced so far for having a P100 character in Dead by Daylight:

📌 people thinking I just like that character's design or lore a lot and know how to farm bloodpoints

I know others have also made discussions regarding this and it seems like an easy option to implement. We already have an option regarding delayed match-making to prevent in-game harassment and ranks were made invisible years ago to combat the same issue. None of these reflect the skill of the player. What's the difference now?

Well said, prestige means nothing on dbd, you just invest time in the character, like a play this game a lot as a killer, my pyramid head is prestige 10 is my highest prestige, because I'm leveling up all others killer to prestige 2 or 3, I'm playing legion a lot in this event, it's a great farm of points, I get a 4k with legion on the nurse map against a prestige 100, 80..., 40... And 20..., With lazy mind games, literally stand still on shack and they run into me, but players think that prestige is something and means god like skill.

how is PTB different from current live version? if your in a cage and pyramid is holding m2 as someone save you, you still go down and immediately get put on the hook. there is no punishment for facecamping hooks currently so you can also do same thing with hook and just hold m2 near a hook.

The only difference between PTB and live version is that you could be caged->caged->mori instead of cage->hooked->mori'd. The tunneling potencial is fairly similar regardless of the change.

Making his power don't work near a hook or cage and making survivors imune to torment for some seconds can balance his power

  • @adaw0ng said:

In the PTB people tested how easy it was to tunnel somebody out without any chance for the survivors to do anything about it since until tunneling perks don't work with the cages, nor they recover their exhaustion (I'm pretty certain). PH can literally stand still holding his power in range once he knows where the caged survivor spawns (which is not really difficult to do).

His whole mechanic of cages need a rework or adjustment in order to get actual buffs that can help him. because I doubt it was even intended to be used as it is used (I believe it was meant to be some sort of time efficiency mechanic to not have to carry people to hooks, and also easy way to avoid pallet or flashlight saves). That mechanic is extremely strong and holds back the rest of his character. Such a shame because his shooting ability is really fun and cool for both sides in my opinion! Hope they fix his tunneling issue soon and we can see some interesting addons too!

True, if they make cage a "hook" will be better for this buff, and will increase the amount of build with him, except scourge hook, and like you said the simple fact that avoid flash saves, pallets and time to go to a hook will make him strong but not unfair, except for DS.

Edit: or making his power don't work near a hook or cage, like artist bird, drones and other stuff.

The content creator i watch is on a 450+ game winstreak as Nurse with no perks and add-ons and usually at least gets a 3k when playing other killers. And the rest of the people i watch mostly agree that the game is pretty balanced right now and by far not surv favored.

And everyone is a pro player or extremely good like him?

    I think no

  • @Seraphor said:

No challenges require you to throw the game, you only do this if you're desperate to get it within one game, which isn't the point, they're supposed to be challenging.

    And give BP for compensate

  • @MikaelaWantsYourBoon said:

We have 2 busted killers atm (Nurse and Blight) and while they are around, gens times can't change.

I can hate gen rush, but what you said is true, some slowdown perks and others perks get nerf because some killers like call of brine and overcharge with the skull merchant, basically, some killers are making this game a problem to balance for everyone, one perk can make one killer extremely OP, but, BHVR needs to address gens speed perks, toolbox and addons, because if what you and I said is true in the future will we only see tier S killers with tier S addons and survivors with tier S perks and addons.

  • @Göch said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3460235#Comment_3460235

You missed the part where they nerfed healing as a compensation apparently. The trade off for it not being posssible to kick a 99% gen down to zero in the blink of an eye is that you cant heal up anywhere anytime. More people injuired, faster downs, faster kills, but also faster gens. Its WAY better that way than the average 20min+ games we had with the gen kick meta.

This healing nerf is almost nothing in high MMR, survivors still healing pretty fast and making gens fast, play the game for yourself or watch some content creator and you will see, even now that have perks that reward healing others.

  • @Krazzik said:

By 'gen rush' I mean survivors simply focusing efficiently on gens, because that's all it takes. Good toolboxes and certain perks can help shave time off but really all it takes for gens to fly are 4 survivors who actually sit and do gens at every opportunity.

I understand that balancing gen time is impossible, because the difference between 4 solo survivors just chilling/doing archives and a SWF (or even solos) who sit and do gens as efficiently as possible is massive, and you can't balance around efficient gentimes without making it almost impossible for the other group.

In the meantime though it just feels bad when I can find survivors and end chases quickly and still lose because that isn't enough slowdown on it's own. Against efficient survivors, if you aren't playing a top-tier killer you NEED good slowdown, and that's becoming increasingly harder to find thesedays.

BHVR just need to nerf toolbox and gen speed perks, they keep nerfing slowdown perks for killer but don't nerf survivors gen speed perks and addons, this is why games are became more and more hard as a killer, you literally don't want to make one mistake, when survivor can make 100 mistakes and still compensate the mistake with 2 chances or just rushing the game.

  • @Luckyfer said:

Even though the new chapter released,a pretty good one,the number of active players barrely went up.

It's sad that we've come to this conclusion, but it's the culmination of multiple unfair and bad nerfs to survivors that has left 50% of this game's content drier than the Sahara.

As it stands, only at night 00AM+ will I get bonus BP for Killer,if I get at all.

This is isn't a good number for survivors to have a lower or equal amount of players,it is not that sustainable.

Something drastic has to change, something that will be forged in the Killers' tears,a destructive nerf/nerfs to Blight and Nurse to light the path, for starter.

More content such as items and each survivor receiving a niche personal perk,a passive one such as:

Meg benefiting from any haste or bonus ms for 1 more second

Dwight not receiving a penalty for multiple survivors repairing a generator,

Jake beign able to sabotage traps with Saboteur or Toolbox as the sole one, maybe sabotaged hooks take a few more seconds when they've been sabotaged by Jake.

Mikaela beign able to see Auras of unlit totems in a 20m radius.

David having a 25% reduction when it comes to grunts of pain and pools of blood spawning.

Nea having 2s shorter scratch marks and them beign more chaotic.

These are just a few examples of what I have in mind, more like flavour changes to add a nice layer of immersive and fun.

It's not only survs that get nerfs, all killers perks and power get nerfs, all gens slowdown perks get nerfs to oblivion when gens speed continue the same for years and new ones appears to make more mess in this hell of unbalanced game.

It's a war of this killers is op nerf, this surv perk is op nerf, this perk is op in 2 killers nerf, the state of playing killer now is that you NEED to be good in chases because you don't have good gen defense perks, impacting all m1 and 4.4 killers, making then more unfun to play, making in the process... Killers are tunnel more and camping more because gens are flying, if this happens in low MMR, imagine in high MMR when top play are giving they life on the match, killers and survs.

Even with a new chapter, if BHVR don't address all this issues, no one will come to play and this happens because Diablo 4 too

  • @HoodedWildKard said:

Had this thought early while posting about genrushing. Some killers are far more vulnerable to getting genrushed than others. One of the reasons I almost never play twins is that it takes too long to get anything done. If you down survs with victor it often takes ages to find and hook them. Trapper is a slow killer and makes for a more tactical game. Whilst killers like nurse can end chases super quick, wesker has traversal, blight has both.

Ive suggested before a rolling handicap based on which team is winning, based on gen progress, hook states and how many survs are alive. But since a killer is a static factor in a game, i.e. they are there for the whole match and will not change, perhaps devs vould look at killrates, match times and gen progress times to identify which killers are suffering, and tweak to slow gen speeds in games involving those killers, or vice versa for killers that are dominating and perhaps buff gen repair speeds in their games.

What BHVR needs is balance gen speed perks with gen slowdown perks, like survivors and killers can stack this perks and make two scenarios:

1 - the amount of gens speed perks that survivor have (don't getting any nerf to compensate killers gen slowdown perks), making more difficult and force the killer to make less mistakes, because all the slowdown perks received nerfs, making the gens fly in most of the games and even more in high MMR.

2 - even with the slowdown perks nerf, a killer can have a pretty good combination of perks and slowdown to gain some time or even almost impossible to do gens.

But even with a good combination of perks and addons, a good killer can still have a hard time in most of his matches, because gen slowdown are nerfed and gen speed still the same for years.

For me BHVR needs to make balance around perks and addons to be equally balanced to both sides, instead of nerfing perks because 1 or 2 killers are good with the perk, because will affect all the others killers, making a weak killer more weak, like they do with nurse turning her a M2 killer

    We are neatly boxed in.

And since Cross Progression is not coming this century either, if we choose to abandon our consoles for a gaming PC we're boned as well. We'd have to rebuy the game, rebuy the dlc's l, rebuy any wanted cosmetics, kiss our charms goodbye, and then comes the best part. Releveling each and every character from scratch, grinding to unlock all the perks again.

Who with whatever monies spent and thousands of hours already into the game would go through all that. Not too many, although a few have. I'd quit personally I won't do it.

Even if you use your account from the Xbox in the PC? We can login in the Microsoft store with a Xbox account, I picked the division 1 in this way with my phone and when I migrate to the Xbox one, I had a lot of games that I picked for free in the Microsoft store on my console, because I picked with my account

  • @uganda_calm said:

It is a big difference in my opinion. But you can just deactivate crossplay and you will play against much less mnk players.

Overall your problem is that consoles are meant for casual gaming and not for high pressure professional gaming. So if you want to play best and rank high every season you will have to play on mnk.

In theory, yes, MNK are superior to controller, but a lot of games including DBD have greats console players that can performe really well, like was playing with MNK, I not playing DBD too much this days, like 4 to 7 matches a week or month, I play on the Xbox series S now, before I played on Xbox one, I reached iri 1, 2 and 3, multiple times with pyramid head, before the actual rank system.

MNK have a more impact in fps games, a game like dbd don't have much difference, for me of course

Please inform me of how to counter that and I would be grateful. I'll even let you choose any killer perks you like to counter this scenario.

In scenario like this, you just pray for the survivors make a great mistake that can give you a chance

  • In my point of view of this nerf as a killer main, it's good at the same time that is not good, we have a big difference between camping to try turn the game at your favor and camping just because you want the game to be miserable for the others.

For example: you got 3 hooks and the survivors got 3 gens completed, the killer will tunnel or camping someone out to apply more pressure, of course, against a good team can be a double edge blade, but camping to do this will not be possible anymore.

For M1 killers this will be a massive nurf, they are already no good in chases, for M2 killers this nurf don't have to much impact, legion can M2 you and tunnel you out, bubba can chainsaw your BT and haste and go on.

But this nerf can give another chance for survivors that are being camped in the first chase in the first seconds of the match, to have a chance to play the game, instead of get angry and frustrated.

In one hand, camping and tunnel against a good team is the only strategy you have, in the other hand is a miserable gameplay style.

All competitive games change to be more fun and engaging for everyone, that can be not very good way to try to fix this but, is a started of something, like was the nerf on the nurse.

I can guarantee you it won't be dead lmao, it will only delete the most no skill strategies in the game

Plus, if you get genrushed a lot before you can hook them all more than once, you can just bring rancor + game afoot and that will instakill them when its endgame

No skill strategies... Well hold W is a "no skill strategy" and is a lot effective, sabo hooks too, u only press one bottom and it's done, BNP is one too, and go on, talking about no skill strategy when survivors are the one with the most tools to make the killers life miserable, killers just have 4 perks survivors have 16 perks in total and they all "stacks together", is all survivor have perks to rush gens and they are in the same gen, 30 to 40s and the gen is done.

BHVR needs to proper balance this game if they want to deal with camping and tunnel, and even if they need camping and tunneling, well... We have the knight, the huntress, dethslinger, blight, nurse, Demogorgon, maybe trickster, the new killer, and probably some others killers that can camp and tunnel pretty well away from the hook.

  • @Nos37 said:

and survivors have been able to work on gens from 0% to 100% for 7 years.

I don't like being tunneled, but you can't stop killers from tunneling survivors without stopping survivors from tunneling gens.

Otherwise it would just be a hook-each-survivor-once-and-watch-them-teabag-in-exits simulator and that will surely kill the game.

Exactly, BHVR are nerfing to the hell all gen defense perks for the killers, but they don't nerf gen speed perks or addons, recently all matches the gens are flying, it's rare now to see a bunch of potatoes playing if u are in high MMR, a chase of 60s is enough to probably lose as a killer.

If BHVR remove the ability to tunnel or camping, this game will be dead in no time, if the game don't have killers mains playing, we can't play this game, and if this don't happen, we will only see meta killers because this game will become a race of who kills or escape faster.

  • @mikewelk said:

If that was implemented killers would simply hit you as soon as you're off hook so the basekit BT will dissapear and then they'll carry on tunneling. You don't have to wait it out, it's just that waiting ten seconds is better than hitting and giving the survivor a speed boost as of now. It happens even in the current state of the game so I doubt that will be able to solve the issue.

    Legion... Just that

  • @Orthane said:

How is it that a gen can finish before my TVs spawn as Sadako? How can I constantly have 2 people on me, and 4 gens are done in 3 minutes? How is that even playable? Gens get done so fast that I can't even play the game even though I have 25-50% of their team occupied. It's driving me insane because it feels unplayable.

    Perks, repair box and addons.

All the gen defense perks got nerfed, but gen speed perks and addons don't get nerfs, that's why.

  • @1ettuce said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3423719#Comment_3423719

I would tunnel, what's your point? I said playing nice should become more effective on top of that

    That's the point.

Sometimes using a "toxic" mechanic like tunnel or camping is a way to do something and if the killer are punished by doing this SWF will be a pain in the a..

Camping and tunnel in the beginning of the match is a sad thing, but have a game that survivor just genrush out of the game (with perks and tools, otherwise is just a bad gameplay made by the killer), is not that fun, waiting 5mins to find a match and have that match ending in 2min is sad, like being camped or tunnel.

  • Camping and tunnel it's a tool, sometimes we need because some survivors are very good at looping and doing gens, or they're bad at looping but very efficient on gens, in that scenario tunnel and camping can turn the game "table" at the killer favor or even doing nothing and the killer lose in the same way

  • @1ettuce said:

Variability in playstyle could be cool but I think both camping/tunneling should be made less effective AND not doing so be made more effective, not just one or the other. I think this bc I don't think camping should be as effective as spreading hooks for example bc there should be a reason not just to take the easy way out, and it's even worse how it is now where spreading hooks is both bad and very bad relative to other play styles

    I just want to ask.

What u will do if in one match u have 4 survivors with BNP and they complete 2 to 4 gens in 50s or 60s?

U will play nice, give up or try tunnel/camping to at least have 1 or 2 kills?

If everybody could see each other perks in game lobby it would change the playstyle on both sides. In more skilled direction I would say. Also if killer and survivors took turns in taking their perks it would bring skill of planning and preparing for a game. Some balance changes would be necessary as it is with any other update.

Survivors always have worked together? Hell most soloq games once the snowball of unhooking a survivor starts it doesn't stop. Even wraith can just ran around and whack someone once kick gen, and if it's not a dead zone go find someone else real quick whack them rinse repeat and slowly teams just lose. Those games are atleast fun, it only gets worse from there on the not fun scale.

I see, I think that high mobility killers will be meta with this, go to one point of the map to another in seconds and don't giving the survivors a chance to heal or regroup... That make sense, I seeing a lot of gen rush builds and BNP.

I afraid that DBD will become, who make the objective faster (it is kind of this already).

But for me this update kinda feels good at the same time that is terrible, is difficult to describe.

  • @Marius1234456918 said:

I have almost the same play time as you and from my perspective it is the same thing but the other way around all the killer perk nerfs made the game so much harder against swf you dont have any good regression perk left and to nerf those gen rushing swf teams we need much more then only the dh nerf

This update make survivor more team dependent, making then work together like a team.

they are not self-sufficient anymore, managing to do almost everything alone while the others rush the generator, and even though they were nerfed, SWF with brand new part, still rushes pretty fast, I won a match by little, because the survivors brought 2 BNP, but I was using legion with thanato, if it wasn't for this update I would have been destroyed.

Survivor need to work together much more then before, some players need to learn to work together and with this new teamwork perks, maybe behavior are thinking to take this direction for the survivors.

  • Survivor literally have a 3r person pov, if the killer is finding you is because you are obvious, like you run, you let scratch marks, if the scratch marks disappear in some region the killer will try to find you, lookers and bush is the most obvious place to hide.

Killers have aura reading perks, is not difficult finding someone.

In the beginning this game will be a lot difficult, but with time you will learning some skill, of course, even the best player lose, just play the game for fun.

A good killer don't even need whisper to track survivors with efficiency.

  • I play DBD for 2 to 3 years, maybe 4, I play exclusively as a killer on Xbox one, I never thought about PC being better then console, since DBD don't require precision for the most killers, I play huntress well on controller, trickster is a bit difficult, but with practice on controller, for me is fine.

About flashlight... Well there is a lot of players on playstation and Xbox that are crazy with flashlight saves, I meet a lot of good players on consoles.

The type of game that DBD is, playing on PC or console don't have much difference, is more about knowledge then advantage, is not like playing FPS, like overwatch for example.

But is a good point and I respect, brightness I never thought as a problem, but this is because I don't give a... About brightness setup or resolution, having more games with support for mouse and keyboard will be good.

Happened in my game yesterday as well, playing on the new map. Our Knight wasn't as nice to try and fix it, but instead just slugged and ran across the map. I thought he was speed hacking, before I learned this was a bug. This should absolutely be killswitched. Gives him a huge unfair advantage.

Yeah, I like to play with the knight, but this bug is unfair and is a exploit of a bug to take advantage on the survivors, I don't like to use a bug and ruining the game for everyone also, I don't want to get banned.

Someone reported me for hacking for this. i don't want to get banned, chance of you doing this without knowing is extremely high

I spent over 400$+ on skins alone, I hope I don't get banned for it.

I have that fear, you are not alone, when I get this bug, like I said, I stopped to play and tried to "fix" with the survivors.

Yeah I've won plenty of games with him also that doesn't mean he's good lol. You're the one coming on the forum claiming that you play him to perfection & it's effectively a learn to play issue and dismissing the fairly obvious problems his AI bots have.

As I said before he can perform fairly well on mediocre survivors on certain medium size maps with low wall loops & lots of dead space, but his problems start to show when you go against good survivors that basically render his minions ineffective, particularly on larger maps with a lot of connected tiles.

I'll review my original statement and say I don't think he's the worst killer, but he's certainly in the bottom 5.

I don't claim to be perfect using him, I said: "practice leads to perfection"

BHVR AI is a mess trash, yes but, he is not weak, use his power in chase not to patrol.

Free hits, breaking god loops, zoning survivors, able to do 2 things on the same time, guarding gens.

The AI is a issue, but he is not weak, strong addons, good perks that synergies with a lot of strong perks.

  • @YOURFRIEND said:

He seems high B tier. Every time a new killer comes out prior screech that they're the worst killer because they haven't gotten to learn them yet.

Exactly, like artist in her release, (too op, don't have loop against her, snipes trough the map...), she continues strong but, now the survivors know a lot of counter plays against her

Lol so everyone is wrong about his issues and you're obviously just an anomaly that plays him to perfection?

I guess he's good if you're playing baby survivors on a medium size map with lots of open dead spaces and low tiles to exploit (which really isn't that many maps).

If you say... But I'm already iri 3 just using him with a good build, for me is a good build, a lot of matches was difficult and I "lose" (I don't care if I lose, but you probably care) but, the most of the matches I played, was like 1 to 3 gens done, he's literally a free hit machine.

You sound like the ones who say: "I can't use this killer, he's a piece of garbage"

With the right build and don't being a mindless killer that don't do strategies, like hold W use his power just for use and preying for God to help you, even Sadako, legion, trapper, slinger, ghost, Myers, etc. Can be strong and oppressive.

  • I playing him a lot and for me he is a very good killer, the way you play him is totally different of any other killer, new strategies, know how to zone survivors, know the moment and place to use your power, he is very good in chases, some God loops simply don't exist with him, like shack.

You probably just need to know how to use his power with efficiency, practice leads to perfection.

  • This happened to me on the salon, but I was not stunned, I used his power in a declive of stairs, I tried to "fix" the bug with the other 2 survs alive, when I figured that using the power again "fix" the bug.

Just picked Dredge to test him for the first time. Kids genrushed like their family was going to die if they get 4ked. Couldn't even test the character properly 😂 Then they wonder why they face killers stacking gen defense

Exactly, I have all killers in the game, but I play only with 3 killers (Wesker, Legion and Pyramid Head), I can't try new builds ou killer because I will just get gen rush and don't having fun, I like playing legion it's fun, but in the end of the day he is a m1 killer.

The point is that I just want to have fun after a day of work, but DBD is becoming Less and less fun for me, becoming more competitive.

I want to play, but in the same time I don't want to play because I know what gonna happen.

I admit that Dead Hard has gotten less annoying with the rework but it's still the strongest perk in the game and a major nuisance. Dead Hard has gotten weaker in some ways but stronger in other ways.

Dead Hard is the most unfun perk to play against. You have to wait out every survivor before hitting them to confirm they don't have Dead Hard or you get massively punished. It's such a cuck perk that prevents killers from lunging when they've already got the survivor cornered.

It also prevents a lot of the mind game and outplay from killer. The way survivors have been using Dead Hard is to use it in a situation where killers must lunge. Say you are chasing a survivor at pallet and it's a very close chase, if you don't lunge, the survivor drops the pallet. If you do lunge, the survivor Dead Hards. There's no way around it, especially if you don't know if the survivor has Dead Hard. Here is an example of this situation: https://clips.twitch.tv/TenaciousUglyMallardUncleNox-HrJ-TjhuvYDTJkRe. You see how it's a situation where the killer must lunge and if they don't, they will get pallet stunned and miss the hit? There's no outplaying it. You can only pray they don't Dead Hard. Note that the Adam misplayed in this example by going for another loop instead of running straight to the pallet, as Otz mentioned in the clip. Instead of getting punished, Adam gets away for free because of Dead Hard.

Another example is when you at a pallet and the survivor is hopping from side to side on the pallet. They can once again force a lose-lose situation. Once you've got the survivor in a situation where they will get hit, they just Dead Hard. If you don't lunge, they vault the pallet again. If you do lunge, they Dead Hard. It's just bs. With the old Dead Hard, you can at least body block the pallet.

While it's not 100% guaranteed that Dead Hard will work, the odds are significantly against the killer in all of these situations. I elaborate more on this in this comment.

Dead Hard significantly disincentivises mind gaming in small to medium loops because Dead Hard can completely undo a major outplay or mind game the killer does. Why mind game them around a pallet when they can just Dead Hard with little to no counter and you just end up wasting a lot of time? Better to just eat or break the pallet. Note that with old Dead Hard, if you lunge, they Dead Hard, and you miss, you at least get the pallet. With the new Dead Hard, they get hit and keep running and there's usually no pallet drop, so the outcome is much worse.

New Dead Hard is also far more effective against killers that use their power to get a hit since the effect when it triggers is stronger and killer powers are usually very telegraphed making them easy to Dead Hard. For example, if Trickster got Dead Harded with the old Dead Hard, it literally wouldn't matter since the other knives would hit the survivor. With the new Dead Hard, it resets their knife counter and they make it to another loop.

New Dead Hard is also far more rewarding when it works. If you use the old Dead Hard out in the open, you only make a small amount of distance and the killer gets the hit somewhat later. With the new Dead Hard, you definitely make it a new loop if it works.

Overall, Dead hard is only slightly weaker compared to the pre-nerf and still obnoxious.

Became a main Legion and your DH problem is solved.

What if there were less bloodpoints to be earned for consecutive hooking of a certain survivor? Or perhaps more bloodpoints earned for switching up a killer's focus?

I know that tunneling is a hell of pain for survivors, but if we play nice, gens just get smashed, because of this tunneling and camping is becoming more common, get someone out quickly will make things more easy for killers, but sometimes tunneling can be the defeat for killers, focus in one person that he can't chase quickly.

BP will make no difference for someone that have everything.

The slugging changes aren't even going live in 6.3.0 and the PTB solely exists to gather feedback. It's really not the end of the world if these changes shown today aren't perfect.

Plus we don't even know what content will be in the 6.3.0 midchapter anyways so it's a bit early to call it the "worst ptb".

With the information released for us, for now, is the worst PTB in the game, glad that is not going on live servers.

This finishing Mori is just... Garbage, probably will be very rare to occur, Mori's is a cool mechanic, a unique animation to kill a survivor in the death hook, now is completely gone.

Infinity unbreakable... If a killer down a survivor in a pallet (strong loop probably) with someone close, there is nothing to do or will be a pallet save or a self recovery.

Nurse will be more OP now, imagine, nurse with starstruck and awakened awareness, ok, nurse tunnel one out of the game, 3 survivor left, down one, hook and probably down another with starstruck and awakened awareness to help, 1 survivor left, a strong killer that can down a survivor in 15 or maybe 10 seconds, if the survivor is not in the TR to be affected by starstruck, BBQ can deal with it.
