older woman would be nice to see with linda, we're already getting one with chorus but a second is nice, shes just a fun character in general too
-
survivor players are not real lol this thread has to be a joke
-
if youre too lazy to write the post im too lazy to read it
-
this is unfortunate for OP if it comes to pass but unfortunately older electronics do gradually hit the end of their lifespans and lose software support
dbd is a live service game, it shifts and do the system requirements
-
2v8 makes 1v4 dramatically worse in various ways, needs to stop being run permanently
make it a separate game if theres that much appetite for it
-
countering debuffs and also shortening perk cooldowns makes vigil two perks in one

BHVR should just give him a 4.6 add-on that requires increased hits like before. It would allow those who prefered is 4.6 version to play him closer to how he was before, without messing with those who like him as 4.4 and his new power.
theres no universe where this isnt the best addon in the game and entirely mandatory
-
if all the factors making trickster feel weak right now align he genuinely just feels unpleasant to play, like to the extent i literally just want to turn the game off
chasing a survivor around a strong loop at 4.4 without any realistic path to use your power on them, then because of the pallet doubling update they can just chain directly to another strong loop you also cant use your power on. even with 4.6 m1 killers you know the assignment and can try and play around some of the pallets, but trickster on certain maps genuinely feels powerless
-
the pallet situation has to change, imo
-
the most recent map has more than 30 pallets on it
-
i dont understand the obsession bhvr has with killers not being allowed to focus their primary match objective
facecamping was problematic because it was undirected griefing, sure, but defending hooks being verboten in the 'put people on hooks and defend them' game is insane
it's like if survivors got penalised for being to close too a generator
-
survs are already allowed to leave without a penalty in a staggering amount of situations, hatch is already a free win for a lost game
the idea that killer-win endgame needs to favour them even more is absolutely insane

I strongly recommend checking the date of the most recent reply before answering a thread.
This one’s from 2020.
yes thats the joke, i'm replying to a post from 6 years ago saying the devs might address this
-
bhvr have no appetite to ship reworks, skull merchant rework was entirely dropped and the trickster 'rework' was very very limited in scope
no amount of tweaks will change nurse fundamentally ignoring the rules of the game
-
@Huff said:
The devs said they're looking into changing DS more IIRC, so hopefully they implement some way that it gets disabled for doing certain actions or something.
Until then, there's always the good old mori counter.
lol !
-
imo these kinds of perks should be grouped like exhaustion in a way that makes them mutually exclusive

Why would I just "not" run through it, I get what you're saying but then the survivors know to just run there for safety, which is the whole problem I'm pointing out. Handful of killers become almost unusable because of the map design
learning when to not commit to a bad chase is key to improving at the game. you shouldnt contest main gen on most killers on that map, focus on the other gens. dont follow a healthy surv into main and only follow an injured one in if youre confident you can secure it.
-
its not an infinite (you need to break the doors though)
dead dawg main is an insanely long loop and you should almost always just not run it though
-
i genuinely need to see footage of a decisionmaker at bhvr playing a non-s tier on some of these maps, it beggars belief how many pallets are spawning

eh idk, i think its worth to heal. it makes getting cut off not a death sentence and trades 32 seconds for a sprint burst.
Definitely heal if you're a weak looper or the resources have been consumed. If you have heal speed then that's even more incentive.
never healing is more for the Resilience MFT types
if ghoul is hard commiting to chase then maybe heal, but if he's spreading injuries with hit-n-run then healing will 100% lose you the game
if i'm playing ghoul and survs are healing then keeping everyone injured is my top priority, it means nobody is on gens
-
characters never leave the shop aside from infrequent copyright issues arising
springtrap will be in the game for the forseeable future

Jason will be cool and all.…but we've seen this typology of killer a thousand times at point. In all sauces.
Please BHVR, give us more complex killers, like Plague and Singularity.
survivors hate anything that demands they deviate from a standard macro or chase gameplan
killer players, by and large, prefer simpler designs
i hope we do ocassionally get more complex killer designs but honestly i think the current ratio isnt too bad. imo the more complex killers should be the unlicensed ones
-
it's very overtly a direct upgrade of springtrap, power creep isnt new to the game but this is just like a 1:1 but stronger version of an existing power
i dont like how killer designs seem to be in an arms race with how strong survivors are getting, it just means the weaker parts of the old cast get left behind

Hey folks, let's make sure to keep the conversation civil in here.
Pallet density and distribution is inherently a topic that lends itself to differing opinions per role, so I want to make it very clear that when we bring feedback back to the team, we strive to present both the Killer and Survivor perspectives.
If you're ever feeling concerned or questioning about a specific situation where balance feels off, like in the example of this thread, don't hesitate to flag it with any footage you might have, so it's on our radar. That way, it's also easier for us to keep our eyes out for corroborating evidence.
can we please get officially published pallet counts per map + get adjustments clearly quantified in patch notes?
the discourse around this is not helped by bhvr not being forthright about this information and when it changes, people are forced to work off vibes and assumptions

freddy is never getting new content due to rights issues
jason is from jason univetse which doesn't include the freddy v jason movie

I think the bigger problem I have is not only are there just too many pallets, you also get the people trying to gaslight you that
- there aren't that many pallets
and worst of all
2. They're all small 50/50 loops.
NO THEY ARE NOT. They are full fledged pallet loops. There is no 50/50 there. You cannot get a hit on these pallets that are not tall, so you can't mindgame they just stare you down and they can just infinitely loop around it and you'll never catch up to them.
The game feels terrible.
even if the pallets were all bad, there are so many that you dont even have to play them. just predrop the unsafe pallet for a couple seconds of distance, then youre able to reach the next 'unsafe' one until you chain to a playable one or a ridiculously strong window
-
this is part of a wider problem where dbd has a pretty massive gap in effectiveness between intuitive play and optimal play
a substantial portion of soloq players have zero interest in actually gitting gud as it were, instead agitating for the game to be adjusted such that they can have a decent winrate with naive play, and when that happens people playing optimally are basically unstoppable
the game doesnt tutorialise basic survivor macro concepts like spreading positioning, not gen doubling, intentionally managing hook states. the coordination advantage from premade is insane, too
something has to give, basically, either people who refuse to play the game optimally need to be allowed to drown, or (more likely but a worse option), optimal play needs to be made less rewarding to bring it closer to people playing intuitively
-
sub 3 minutes beggars belief, even if the survivors were speedrunning with no killer present thatd be an impressive time
-
survs need to just strike slugging from the rulebook imo, its a valid way to play the game and is the reason a lot of the stronger surv perks are allowed to be as poweful as they are
-
force him to break pallets, it puts his power on cooldown. you need to run pallet>pallet, camp them and drop to force him to put his power on cd so you can reach the next.
if he uses his power to vault, you need to turn around and vault the pallet yourself whilst hes animation locked so you end up on different sides.
do not heal, basically ever. theres a few circumstances where being healthy is maybe important, but as a rule the fact the power is pretty much unavoidable free damage means that every heal is just wasted gen time.
-
the scuffed reveal deflated a lot of the hype imo
the reveal also implied the killer was going to be another fairly popular horror IP a lot more than it implied jason IMO
jason honestly doesnt have very much cultural purchase in 2026, especially among the demographic currently playing dbd
-
the point is to fill 2v8 surv slots
-
m1 killers are unplayable thanks to this ability, it's like dh in that it can be used on react to a lunge and also gives you a bunch of distance whilst healthy, the endurance duration is super low and can be regained with a couple of pallet camps
-
can bhvr weigh in on what the intended counter to escapist's dash is? it can be used unconditionally mid chase so m1 killers basically just cant land an attack when it's up
-
literally nothing about this killer matters until the expose mechanic is radically improved
it's simply too inconsistent (in both directions) for the killer to be worth playing or for him to be interesting to play against
-
im not sure whats 'fun' to the person who cares about being flashlight saves to the point of wasting a perk slot on them being forced to experience them anyway
from the killer's pov, what is 'interesting' about a perk being a skillcheck they have no agency over the outcome of? it makes it inconsistent and frustrating, for an already niche pick
-

It's funny, because you'll all be complaining when the devs have no other choice but to introduce anti-slugging mechanics into base kit.
im not sure why you think its a good thing that any time killer players try adapt to the meta they get nerfed

You're literally looking at one of the survivor strategies being held to this standards in the OP. But here's a list of other survivor strats that get complained about daily:
Being on comms
Exhaustion perks
Endurance perks
Prerunning
Flashlights/Saboing
Stealth
Holding W
Using meta perks
i will send you ten dollars if you can link me a single post on this forum saying that prerunning is cheating

How about both?
If there's an exploit in the game, clearly that's a problem with the game. But it's also a problem with those who abuse the exploit at everyone else's detriment.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4074865#Comment_4074865
Map offerings. Pretty much any survivor perk, too.
nobody is seriously saying survs should refrain from fast track or DS, nor did they say it when dead hard was overpowered, the conversation in these cases is always centered around issues with the game and not blaming players for trying to win it

Nah, I have a problem with the players who choose to do certain things they know are hated becuase of a win-at-all-costs mentatlity, and who also stopped the anti-slug from going through by mass social media screeching. The game can change. It has, many times, and it needs to again.
no survivor strategy has ever been held to this standard

Sure, but they didn't know that for sure going in. They just assumed. Do you think they would have said "oppsie sorry thought you had that one perk" if they hadn't? It's also only one match. How many more did they do this in and then cherry pick this one instance? I've also yet to get a full team doing this. It's not common. And they're also complaining about SP and Resurgence for some reason, because survivors aren't allowed to have perks, I guess.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4074858#Comment_4074858
Then why are they trying to justify it it with "but perks". Full team slugging is hated and shouldn't exist.
if slugging 'shouldn't exist' then you have a problem with the game not the player.

Except that people are doing this regardless of what they see, and blaming Fast Track. I just had a Billy do this to me yesterday and said just that in chat. Meanwhile, I was the only one with a gen perk, and it was just Deja Vu. I'm pretty tired of every single little thing being used as an excuse for crappy behavior. This perk is not "prevalent in the meta." I barely ever see it.
And you can't convince me someone who slaps Infectious Fright onto the games most hated high mobility killer is only doing it when they see four toolboxes. I would never do this regardless of what i think might happen. And even so, if just the lobby tilts you this hard, dodge.
trying to win using an available, legitimate, strategy is not 'crappy behaviour'
-
this is the kind of rhetoric bhvr wants and allows in their game, i feel incredibly unwelcomed with the rate at which im degraded based on my identity and how these players are rarely banned and temporarily banned when that happens. its clear that bigot money is more important than player safety to this company.
disgusting. bhvr are on the wrong side of history.

Killers BM too. This isn't a one-sided issue, where the killer is the victim made into a monster by a girl with blue hair doing rapid squats. If survivors get hard tunneled out of a ton of matches, get humped, get brought to hatch and moried in front of it, they might become bitter and nasty, and weaker players are really the only ones they get a chance to feel powerful against, with the nature of the role. Toxicity is a virus, but only for certain personality types. The daily BMing I get in this game has yet to change me. Adults recognize that all of their opponents are different people.
People who BM likely do it in both roles anyway. "Survivor" and "killer" aren't cultural groups with their own customs, their just two sides of a game, and if people play both, they're going to be the same person in either role. The tbagging survivors are probably the humping killers too.
killing people as the killer role is the same as griefing, TIL
