I just run full meta with a double charge med kit... cant rely on my teammates but SB, Adren, Distortion and OTR always got my back.

Does it seem as a solo survivor, that you're losing almost every game right now?
Honest question, not trying to make a point etc. I'm noticing in every match I play killer, I'm usually able to kill 2-3 people every time. Hardly sweating it just seems to be easy-ish...
When I play survivor, it seems the team mates I'm with are struggling to maintain a single chase for longer than 8-10 seconds. My MMR is in the top level bracket - just shy of 4k hours (but played since DBD inception back in 2016).
With the consistent middle finger to survivors (removing MFT, stopping gen regression, mangled/haemorrhage changes etc) and buffs for killers (5% gen regression, consistent perk increases, STBFL maintaining its impact even after nerf etc), and with even more buffs coming in this current PTB for killers (blight getting extra bounce on his amazing addon etc), how are people finding it?
I'm just seeking numbers/experience of those gamers who play this game frequently since the changes - have you found it harder to play survivor or easier/same - and do killers find it easier to kill people?
Do you miss the old DH/DS combo, like... that was the peak of game enjoyment right? or was it miserable for killers - or do Killers miss that?
I escape around half the time on solo. Granted I'm a meta spamming loser (SB, Adrenaline, Distortion, and OTR) and bring a med kit every match (bc soloq teammates don't know about healing) though. Typically, I die but I always get the sense that I did decently well and was helpful to the team. Thats normally enough for me to feel satisfied with a match (unless I got hard tunneled; but that rarely happens because SB+OTR).
I guess I'm just lucky with my teammates, I normally get at least semi-competent players. Like at the very least they know to do gens and don't insta drop every pallet. I never bring a team-based build unless I'm SWFing though. You never know what kinda megheads you'll get matched with...
As killer I mostly play blight (with meta) but I never tunnel unless playing nice will lose me the game (as in not tunneling the survivor when there's 1 gen on a big map with no kills or something). Sometimes I'll just slug a death hook survivor because I don't wanna remove them from the match that early but I still want the pressure etc. I normally 2k unless the survivors are just better, 3king if there's a dummy who doesn't do gens. Playing without tunnels is balanced imo, but if you want to win you definitely are. I did a win streak on blight that got to 48 wins pre-addon nerfs. I'm not even that good at blight, I just ran alch ring and c33 every single match and dragged the poor survivors to dead dawg for 48 games and hard tunneled with UW. It was NOT hard. There were p100 (presumably) 4man swfs getting rolled by my mediocre gameplay. I'd like to blame that mostly on the map and old addons though. Obviously the smallest map with addons that make blight better than nurse will be a free win. Whenever a ward was in play is was much harder... I'm just lucky I was never brought to GoJ.
The same can be said for survivor as well. Not for soloQ... but if a SWF wants to win they can take me to GoJ with full meta etc etc etc. The only real chance I'd have in that situation would be hard tunneling (if I wasnt using the free win build from before, even then it would be tough against good survivors on GoJ). If any player on either side really wants to win they can, its just more accessible to killers as a solo role. Nerf tunneling, buff DS.

go play tcm/use lethal pursuer/ultimate weapon/blight
-
Killers have a power as an extra strength 5th perk to counter the 16 the survivors have. Giving survivors base abilities as well would ruin the point of that while also decreasing any variety. people dislike facing a million blights, wait til you see how they feel the claudette heal bonus meta...
-
Claudette: Adrenaline, OTR, Distortion, SB
Probably blight but I haven't played killer in a while. my typical build was something real meta but I cant remember exactly what

it's an optional setting that you don't have to enable
don't be a toxic gate keeper
if you're a fan of seeing killers puke into the mouth of survivors then good for you but not everyone wants to see that
just close your eyes, you have a built in censor already.

goth woman 😁

If killers were equal then its a hard, hard maybe... even then if all killers were blight or spirit level then they wouldnt need it. Only as a bandaid fix to the lower tiers and nobody likes bandaid fixes. As somebody said above killers do get their power as their 5th slot and while not all are created equal we could just buff the weaker ones.
-
- Camping is realistically only the optimal strategy during the endgame, this was true before the AFC as well and has seemingly carried over. If this were to be removed, then non chase killers would be left feeling helpless once the last generator pops.
- I agree, but only if the survivor has deliverance. Otherwise I dont see much of a point beyond extending the match.
-
You cant just leave the game because yo dont like how someone else is playing, thats ridiculous. if anything we need more penalties. If its that big a deal you can just die on hook penalty free anyways.
-
Blights addon pass and the upcoming huntress changes are probably the worst of it imo. Blights addons are still broken and now huntress will be overpowered. Thats all i can really think of for "killer buffs" though, and their killer-specific changes, not across the board. Theres the 5% per kick and removal of gen tapping too but those aren't overbearing. BHVR has been pretty fair as of late and are at least attempting to solve issues with the game without breaking it. I.E. the anti camp, 3 gen system, basekit BT, shifting killer meta perks to be based on hooks and/or separate hooks. All of which do their job decently.
-
its 0 fun to play against if you are the one who gets jumpscared by it and is harder to deal with as a solo. its balanced but nothing to mald over if you are a good survivor.
-
3 genning was barely a problem these days to begin with. All the needed to happen was some gen spawn logic changes. But no, in typical bhvr fashion we get this...
-
@JudithMorel said:
do you actually go around dry kicking gens more than 8 times a game?... if you do, you are playing killer wrong.
with perks like nowhere to hide and eruption it can be good.
-
They just nerfed STBFL, 3genning, and capped regression events. If you're going to rage post at least be educated.

So you are just asking free kill after all.
DS and OTR are activating for long time. So there is really killer can not do so much. But BT is not like that. You can count and hit. You can bodyblock. You can go after other injured survivor etc.
But game should never reward killer with free kill.
while I agree it shouldn't deactivate to be fair it does last ten seconds, granting total immunity for 44m. excluding bodyblocks.

The main complaint about nurse is how she ignores game mechanics thus lacking typical dbd counterplay. Bring back some of the old stuff survivors had against her, like stun fatigue and lightburn. Maybe increase her stun hitbox drastically mid blink to make blinking through pallets more of a threat, stuff like that.
-
the camping ability is stupid but at the very least you win the chase for juking her once
-
basekit shadowborn any day now
-
looks like he just barely nicked your hitbox but its possible he did a 180 flick
-
whataboutism at its finest
-
vaults arent meant to be very strong, thats why their unlimited and have 0 cooldown.
-
they need to nerf his scamper into the ground. I have been playing nothing but chucky and while he's incredibly fun the "hold power til drop" playstyle is just too good. Any decent chucky can just remove pallets from the equation.
-
assuming all of his strong addons will be gutted in the upcoming add on pass so dont worry

I'm sorry, I highly disagree that it's on the same level as Kindred and resilience puts a survivor at a disadvantage being injured. I would agree with you that once it's known people can take care of it, if it didn't rely on finding a totem. There has been plenty of times everyone is running around looking for it.
Sure you can see the Aura after awhile, but only after a certain amount of time does it increase until it's at max distance range. It never becomes map wide range for the aura.
It happened three times in a row where a killer got NOED and was able to slug everyone over time and proxy camped the totem and the hooked survivor next to the hex totem because they used agitation and/or iron grasp. It doesn't get rid of it right away if you do find the totem, you have to cleanse it and then when the killer chases you off it, the cleanse time is back down to zero.
To be fair NOED puts you at a disadvantage by doing nothing unless you are losing.
-
that is just plain atrocious
-
Why xeno specifically? Huntress, nemesis, pyramid head, nurse, and can do the same thing. Its more strange considering xeno can have his power deactivated entirely.
-
seems pretty far from your face to me.
-
someone got rolled by a god wesker I see
-
Fine with me as long as it only works when all survivors alive are downed.
-
You seem to just hate when killers can down with a unique power
-
Its in the EULA you agreed to. If you have an isue with that, you can always revoke your consent in the settings.
-
I think vip would be fun but only with a 4 swf
-
they mean navy seal swfs. Some old statistics from bhvr say around 50% of matches have a 2 man in them if that helps. But its rare swfs use their comms effectively.
-
definitely larry+blight. Blight has the strongest mobility in the game with the second best chase. No info perks needed since you have constant info on every gen. Just throw on all regression/chase and its an easy game. Spirit and myers would be strong too since spirits phase hits count as m1.
Some fun combos I'd use are double huntress, chucky and tiffany and wesker nemesis
-
as far as I know dbd costs more for console players so they get more
-
if thats an exploit then pain res + dms is an exploit
-
like... during phase? or normal walking?
-
old MFT - Guaranteed chase extension + braindead clutch potential
Friends til the end - A short exposed with equally short aura after a hook.
If their crossmap you arent getting the down nd all you've got is info on one survivor. If they arent crossmap, one pallet drop gives enough time to wait the exposed. It only works with stealth because of that, probably A-tier on wraith but c on everyone else.
-
it does on huntress thats for sure
-
Been playing him a lot and the biggest problem I've noticed is hes too forgiving. Not on misses thats plenty punishing, I mean in the microgame. If I get outplayed most of the time I can just flick them even though they outsmarted me.

Dude you wasted 90 seconds on a random generator, just so deadlock only effects that one... How on earth is this not considered slowdown???
And on a side note... So the killers sees that the gen that gets deadlocked is always the same, you really think he is not going to notice and do something about this?
- Its not a waste of time at all because you just go back and pop that generator after finishing the others. 0.99 + 0.1 =/= 2.
- Yeah hes going to go over there and kick it. Not like it matters since without pgtw the regression will take eternity to be meaningful. Plus if its happened more than once you've already save 60s of time which is outstanding. Even one deadlock denial is huge.
-
Eh... its kinda the same issue with tunneling where someone dies too early. Sure you are doing it via multiple hooks so it takes much longer but in the end somebody is removed from the game by 4 hooks.

You don't really bypass the perk if you put 90 seconds into a generator just so it eats Deadlock all the time... Besides the point where you need to constantly check on it so the killer does not pop it...
Sure you do, deadlock gets 0 slowdown if it doesnt block any gens being worked on. And if the killer does pop or pain res it etc etc that doesnt mean deadlock is getting any value.

How does 99% a gen make this perk useless?? Survivors had to 99% that gen first, therefore spending like 90 seconds of time for, sure it does not really help you defend a 3 gen, however it still eats up a lot of time like that. Also you would need to spend time going back every time after pain rez hit to prevent it from regressing to 0 and pushing it up to 99% again so it can guarantee to eat the next pain rez again? That whole argument makes no sense....
Yeah sure you can get 0% regression out of it if you are either unlucky or don't use it strategically, and I don't necessarily think this is a bad thing, I think it is quite good if you need to think at least a little bit strategically and don't just basically kick every gen you see and what not, same with this perk.
If it does not work against good players, why do people in comp use it then? Make your point with different arguments if you want to undermine that statement, but I don't think that's easily doable...
Deadlock targets the highest progress generator. If a generator is on 99%, it will always hit that gen. Therefore gens being worked on actively dont get slowed down. Then after completing 4 other gens you can go back and finish the remaining 1% progress, bypassing deadlock entirely.

Trapper spawns with all 10 traps, sets them much much faster, and it now takes 10 seconds to disarm a trap

It‘s the same thing with xeno, people complained about him spamming his tail and with nurse it‘s the same (she has no turrets/counter).
I get your point, but the main problem is she is just spamming her tp, which you can‘t dodge infinitely and I‘m not talking about bad players. So maybe in chase it recharges slower.
I like playing against her, but it doesn‘t give you much dodging a hit except of gaining 2s.
Nurse absolutely has counterplay.
-
Yeah I almost fell for that. Luckily my friend responded after I asked him why it didnt work and we both immediately changes our passwords etc.
