No, but outside voice comms are endorsed by bhvr, while hug tech was always considered a bug. It just took them time to fix, doesn't mean they silently changed their mind in the meantime like some Blight mains kept insisting.
I see that like a double standard. I.E. some "cheats" are ok because bhvr said so while others arent. Assuming that hug tech is cheating/exploiting then its a double standard not to consider comms cheating. Not that I want swf removed game would die I like playing with friends etc etc etc. Hug tech didnt even give that much of an advantage (unless you mastered all the slide techs) compared to comms.

old shop was better, especially when viewing cosmetics. I liked how I could see most of the cosmetics at once. Now it feels like theres too many, feels like im being overwhelmed.
-
Maybe? In any case I dont think it should be bannable. You dont get wallhacks or anything it just makes things that were already there more noticeable. As far as im concerned if you arent literally altering the gamefiles or lying to the servers its not cheating. If all we're going off is 3rd party program giving an advantage then discord should be bannable.

Bug needs to be fixed
End of discussion
by that logic you shouldnt be able to go on the nether roof in minecraft.

Are you comparing an in-game option to a confirmed bug?
comms are not an in game option

Thank you BHVR team for riding the game of this bug.
Please continue with the good work eliminating more and more of this things.
Also I don't understand people complaining they can't exploit a bug anymore.
It was a bug. You were cheating not too different from people who use external tools. You were gaining an advantage that was not intended.
If you spent years playing like that and now needs to "re-learn" Blight that's on you.if hug tech, an in game use of intended collision mechanics, is cheating, then playing on comms with friends is absolutely cheating. should we remove swf then? You cant claim the issue was "gaining an unintended advantage" when swf with friends is, by definition, gaining an unintended external advantage. Not that I think swf should should be removed though.

Oh boy this bit of misinformation will never stop being parroted will it?
how is this misinformation? I'm not seeing a counterpoint.
-
It all stacks additively since the % bonuses function of charges/second. I.E. we'll make it gives 100% bonus/+1c/ps. Throw on botany knowledge too and you get 2.5c/ps etc etc
-
knights a solid B tier. Carnifex is definitely the best one, insta break pallet, 24s chase.
-
I dont think so. If our standard for cheating is just a 3rd party program that gives an advantage then swf with comms would absolutely be cheating. But it obviously isnt so I dont think its fair to say filters/eq/etc are cheating. Neither give any new info they just make it easier to hear whats already there. Comparably speaking SWF with comms has a much higher advantage. which I'd like to reiterate is not cheating.
-
counterpoint: dont get hooked.

Sloppy butcher needed nerfs as it essentially disabled tons of already weak healing perks like reactive healing or solidarity.
thats an issue with hemmorhage as a status effect

Yeah, that's the main reason I like it too; giving Killers actual input in situations where they currently are just at the mercy of Survivors.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3702260#Comment_3702260
Too much control? Killers currently have no control in the situations where they're forced to lock themselves into an animation. Giving them a tool to cancel and essentially bait actions would give them SOME control in situations where they had none.
What perks and add-ons would be made less useful with these changes?
nobody is forcing you to lock yourself into an animation. breaking a pallet/kicking a gen is optional.
-
oh my bad I was under a totally different impression, all hail anonymous mode

A) That'd defeat the point
B) BHVR use the in game report you make to correlate the user that you're reporting. You don't need to know their username to report them.
Yes but I do need their username to put in a ticket on the official site where I can attach video of the match for proof.
-
at least let us see usernames in postgame so I can actually write a ticket for whatever hacker I just faced

Don't throw around logical fallacy buzzwords in an attempt to shutdown a discussion without knowing what they actually mean.
They're simply pointing out a double standard which still to this day happens. Prove thyself was thrown around very frequently for gen regression perks, distortion is thrown around for aura perks, and (don't get me started on this absurd one) calm spirit was thrown around for ultimate weapon. Just because you can't remember them doesn't mean they don't exist.
It is a skill issue if a killer can't pick up a survivor when background player and flashbang are in play.
by this logic getting tunneled out is a skill issue.

I mean, if it does something else of note, please, elucidate me.
a lot of soloQ players use it to know hich pallets have been dropped since their teammates cant do callouts
-
all of those perks require a hook. the killer only gets to use them if you let them.

it is not the same at all. it was 1.4 seconds. now it is 3.7. that's crazy for m1 killer catch-up. it is back to being a 20 second-waste time button hold-w for killers.
this just in- stun animation removed and ds fully meta again

no way? Were they that strong? How? I know they can down incredibly fast but nurse can ignore every loop and window?
essentially ptb twins a 6m/s killer with perma stbfl.
-
@Devil_hit11 said:
weird how they revert decisive strike but don't revert thana for killer.
ds is practically the same since the new animation takes so long. I think its about 3.7 seconds now.

@Onako said:
Doesn’t that kind of incentivise killers to go back to 3-genning maps in the first place since there is no drawback to hold those 3 until there is only one left to complete?
then thats 4 free gens +anti 3gen on the last one, as opposed to 4 gens that probably cost hooks or maybe a kill +anti 3gen.
-
You're exaggerating, I play solo and do just fine. Its not that different of an experience than playing with friends unless you're unlucky enough to get bad teammates.
-
the issue was always gen spawns not how much you can kick a gen. in a perfect world there'd be no max regression events because gen spawns would actually be reasonable.
-
they should invert the range. Something like "while in chase generators 32/40ish meters from you get an 8/10ish bonus"

Killers are winning with basically only having to get 3k. That is in no way fair to survivors. You don't realize how hard it is for survivors to recover from most situations in this game. It takes too much time to give you any fair chance to recover in a viable way. You're basically saying killers deserve to win for eliminating 2 survivors and downing the third. They shouldn't gain that much of an advantage over the match for playing in what many survivors consider to be extremely toxic. This game rewards killer mains far too much for playing in the most toxic ways. They should be incentivized to hook survivors and deterred from slugging them.
"Only having to get a 3k" if the team got 3ked then they already lost and thats completely on them. It is, in fact 100% fair to the survivors that losing results in a loss.
-
not that hard to break a totem. even if its next to the hook the killer can only defend one thing at a time.
-
@Shirtless_Myers said:
The devs want an unbalanced game that caters to killers and treats solo queue like fodder. They're aiming for 60%+ win rates on every killer. It showcases that they don't care or want a balanced game. They feel that a killer should load into a match and expect the win regardless of this being a PvP game.
if that 60% number is meant to be the killrates, 60% killrate means 40% winrate for both sides.
-
nah thats some ping nonsense
-
both of them are fine, the problem is the recent bug that lets a survivor walk through the killer and drop the flashbang inside them.
-
both sides are anxiety inducing for me, theres a lot to manage at once as killer and as survivor theres 3 idiots throwing the game everytime I queue up.
-
a 2k is generally considered a tie
-
I hate indoor maps because I swear their all unfun to play on for every killer I enjoy. Blight, wesker, etc etc do not have a good time on leri's.
-
While comms do provide an advantage by default 99% of swfs wont get much more value from it than if it were soloQ. If dbd ever got a competitive mode, then I could see something like this being implemented for ranked swfs.
-
Specific killers need buffs but as a whole killers in a great spot strength wise. Survivors need stronger anti tunnel perks.
-
nobody was even camping/ tunneling in the second game, you just played badly, got upset and quit.

Now consider they didn't include games with a single dc, and they counted hatch in the escape rate even though it doesn't feel like a win for survivors. Furthermore there are numerous killers with a kr at or near 70% (SM is higher) and the devs have no plans of nerfing them. Then you have the Twins rework which makes them the most powerful killer in the game's history. Based on their actions I'm starting to believe when the devs said 60% I think they meant a minimum 60% kr for every killer, with the range of 60-70%.
SM's kr is because everyone kills themselves when they see her

he doesnt need more im saying its fine as is. Also, on what other basis would we use other than game design.

No but the fact that the devs think that the ptb twins is good enough to be tested on shows us that like huntress, they want insanely overpowered killers. The only thing that stopped huntress releasing like that was the community outrage. Any potato that has played this game for more than five minutes could see that they would be too overpowered to test on the ptb through sheer commonsense.
They want insanely overpowered killers.
You have the upcoming haddonfield map nerf (made smaller, more useless pallets, loops nerfed etc), twins buff. I would guess that the following ptb will see more killer buffs, oops i mean 'reworks'.
Solo escape rate was 38% the last time they released the stats. That would have only gone down since then.
Im going to have a guess and say solo escape rate will hover around 30% or 3/10 escapes next time they release the stats.
Repeat the same process for the following time stats are released.
Like I always say, its only going to get worse for survivors.
what is the point of a ptb if not to test ideas smh…

Tell me you never played Bubba or are a low MMR survivor without telling me you are… smh
I mean are you saying bubbas sweep movement is as limited as billy or something? Its only limit is its charge time and acceleration, after that its a speed boost with an instadown. The only time a good bubba should be in tantrum is to counter the jump-in-a-locker strat while hes in sweep. even in that scenario the survivor, with proper timing, can get out unscathed because of the buffer between tantrum and base. Lowering his tantrum wouldnt do anything but punish bad bubbas less.
-
Bubbas tantrum should be long since he has no extra limits on his turns or anything. If he gets juked into a wall he deserves massive punishment.
-
@Marioneo said:
Aight then give the same duration add-on boosts with no downsides to Oni, Trickster, legion, singularity you'll change your tune real quick
The difference here is that plagues power can be completely denied by coordinated survivors. When she gets actually gets to corrupt purge she deserves massive duration because she probably wont get it again for a while.
-
lullabys are for ranged killers (we dont talk about sadako)

they should remove all of them except the ones only survivors can get to

Just asking, Blue S is survivor, Red K is killer. Survivor is just unhooked.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/WJ2068XK5I8L/image.png
- Where do you think survivor will run away after unhooked?
- What are you going to do? Hit the BT? Or wait for 10sec?
- I think the survivor will run to 8 especially if shack is there because theres another tile right next to it. If theres a few people on the gen near 8 then the survivor might try to get to main or loop 8 anyway
- If I'm being run to 8 and its shack, I'll hit BT if they've got OTR and wait it out if they don't. If they do have OTR I'll hit them and leave, unless their death hook and the match is in a rough spot. I might still leave is shack pallet is still up and nobody is on the gen near 8. If its not shack then (assuming I'm tunneling) I'd commit to the down. If they have OTR then I'll hit and keep chasing. If they don't have OTR I'll wait it out and continue the chase.

OTR is not 80 seconds. OTR is the amount of Endurance the Killer allows to happen. Which is often 1 second.
forcing the killer to hit your BT is plenty strong already as it grants fr more distance than if the killer chose to wait it out.
-
basekit bt in endgame is an occasional issue in general, but not big enough to warrant change nor is it related to deliverance.
-
I main blight but recently I'm more of a wesker/oni player.
-
he has advantages that huntress doesnt and vice versa. like deep wound on hit, faster wind up, reload on the spot, and hit power hits are basic attacks.
