Leon= he fits me and am a die hard re fan but ofc lack of skins being his licensed. Leon traits I have, a no nonsense attitude but strong and smart solving complexity things with a slight of cocky and funny depending on games and movies though cause in re 4 remake he is so much more serious and gloomy compared to his re4 vanilla counter part. My first p 100
Yoichi my 2nd p100= Well I just like cute Asian guys I mean I like any race ofc but yeah he cute though Leon is priority since Leon fits my personality.
Trevor = ok well he just hot and uh amma work on him as my third p 100 but no idk jack squat about the castlevania games lol.
Wesker= The e best villain out of all re villains because any other re villains tend to be some clowns that don't know what they doing. His son Jake(would love him as his skin).
Trickster = same reason as yoichi and his laughs when he hooks is just perfect fit of a sadistic person, weird thing though Clown and slinger laugh urks me hell with their laughing.

100%. I ran Distortion all the time, but was always taking chase as well. I ran/run it primarily for two reasons:
- To cancel out Lethal Pursuer
- But primarily to help me identify what aura perks the killer is running, which is its biggest benefit, as if it's an info perk. Once I know what perks the killer is running, I don't really need to have my aura hidden anymore because I know when they see me.
Some people give Distortion a bad rep, but it has far more utility than just helping hiders immerse.
Yep and in my swf we all ran it and we all lol, can't tell you how funny it is when a killer DC at start at game when they have lethal(huntress and blight being the too two who love running it) cause oh am sorry where you expecting free info already? If solo q weren't stupid they would follow the suite, can't tell you how dumb I find it when someone who get find by lethal get down fast then DC, if you know you hate being first target or dont want to engage in chase run the perk. People never look at things why the proper plays run distortion..
You can use it to prevent some high mobile or telport killer from chasing you off your 95% gen Use it to counter unfair Wall hack free hits from crutch rat poison l, prevent a would be 4 man slug or snowball and list goes on but no all they see is negatives and the good people must suffer for bad.
Funny thing and sad thing with most killer mains they say run x perk when survivor complain to nerf something annoying and you run said x perk and they whine nerf nerf the hypocrisy is just beyond disgusting.
Amma fine it funny when we all run ooo it's nerf it because even if your not the obsession if they have an aura read perk or add on it will show em lol and your giving me bonus gen repair speed only part of being the obsession is that they see you abit more like 3 seconds or something.
-
Likewise killers should not provoke a survivor by smacking on hook, back and forth on ground or shaking their heads when a survivor was just doing normal looping and mind gaming with no flashlights or flasbang, they got a medkit, and get down by VPN abusers or Walmart connection getting undeserving hits at that point their asking to be t bagged or if they do have a flashy start then being clicks. Also some t bag because that disrespectful Franklin's perk yes its a very tilt perk.

Exactly.

Aura reading as always been a thing to a degree, but I agree that DbD has gone aura crazy, and it only seems to be getting worse. It's gotten to the point that I think a lot of killers can't function without it (which is why so many loathe Distortion). No one should be able to be constantly fed their opponent's location.
Not to sound like an old man shaking his fist at the clouds, but I remember when killers actually knew how to predict pathing and actually track survivors, and the most you saw of them aura wise was with BBQ and chili (and even then most survs knew to hop in locker when you picked up). If your aura perks get countered, you should still be able to play effectively.
Now it seems like all auras all the time and it's ridiculous. Running 3-4 aura reading perks is no less lame than running 3-4 slowdowns. And as killer player, it just doesn't even seem all that fun. I'll usually run one (nowhere to hide, typically) and that's it.
Yet they won't admit it but use the excuse of survivors are scared and bad at chase. Amount of times I get max iri in chase even though I ran distortion lol.
-
Well said and valid points and watch them cry people keep dcing or giving up or they keep getting nothing but 4 man swfs.@rockstar. Idk why but seem when you quote someone and try another person after it don't work or must hit a few times ugh.

aww. So because you have two very low proc'ing aura perks, distortion completely ruined it for ya then. I can admit that certain perks could probably be able to consume more then 1 token, or consume more time per token. But distortion among all 4 players in incredibly rare and even then. It'd be more of a nerf to survivors. At most you'd see 2 people with distortion and even then you'd be fine. Getting free info on 2 ppl alone narrows down survivor options greatly. Yet with bbq, even without distortion survivors can catch on pretty quickly that you have it and avoid it in the future. Its a pretty easily countered with or without distortion. Lethal would give you value nearly ever game since there's no way you are having an issue running into 4 man distortion groups.
Bingo and I wonder how to counter nth oh I know amma run from north all the way from my gen to go in a locker then go all the way back(being sarcastic) or floods oh am shown for unhooking someone and my other 2 teammates also is shown for doing my job rip too if said teammate being chased was about lose killer gets shown and gets down so I and everyone is punished for simply doing their job to unhook.

yes. I started back with distortion about 4 months ago after every killer I faced had LP with some other aura perks. I did notice killers would have 3 aura perks and thantaphobia. I just really used to figure what the killer was carrying. Most of the time distortion was used up in the first 1 minute of the game.
Yep it's so annoying not able to even get a chance to see gen set ups, pallet windows tiles and what not and more annoying when it's op killers like nurse or Billy down someone in 10 seconds.

You mean bad killer mains. To a good killer, distortion even pre nerf is more often a nerf to survivors. Its just fun for them and supports their playstyle. Not everyone wants to be a chase god, and now the survivors that actually cant handle chases, but are still good at completing objectives are just gonna feed the killer and get themselves hooked for nothing.
Yep exactly

Off the record's a great perk, but far from an aura counter perk. A great perk but the usage of its aura hiding ability is minimal at best and nobody looks at that perk for its ability to hide aura. Once off the record hits blood trails are massively noticeable and you're already marked by the killer. Hiding aura at that point isn't super necessary but a welcomed bonus. Its purpose is to prevent getting overly focused on killers and increase your chasing potential.
If you actually read my post I specifically mentioned object of obsession, but if you think that's a counter you're also kidding yourself. That perk benefits the killer more then you most of the time and the intention of desired playstyle behind it is completely opposite to distortion. No person who wants to stealth would ever even consider using it, but sure lets buff killers with our own perks. Objects the kind of perk I use when I want the killer to notice me and just have fun getting chased; not to win.
Everything besides number 3 I already mentioned, and even said that lockers are just gonna be used even more often. So that's what you want now? Instead of all your distortion rats hiding in a corner they'll just be in a locker being an even bigger burden on the team.
You are not just gonna alter the way people want to play just because you dont like it, you'll only turn those same people you hate so much into bigger burdens and turn the game into an instant 3v1.
I wouldn't even bother trying friend I already made my post and all the salty killer mains is just gonna gang up on you with angry mob torches. Good luck still xd. We can just only make 1mil post like they did for distortion posts and hope maybe aura reading be gutted back.

In my experience playing this game (Been playing for over 2 years now) the killers have all the advantages with their perks that reveal survivor auras and stopping gen progression. Killers also move quicker than survivors, lunge far, some can teleport or sprint, have too many throwables or no cool down time with throwables. Theres also too many hooks on every map, especially if you’re downsizing maps. The few things survivors have to “fight back” like flashlight, flashbang or traps make you feel like you have to jump through skill hoops or game mechanic hoops. I feel like this can be cured from heavily balancing killers.
And they have crutchborn that blocks flashlights and flashbangs so all you got now are unsafe rubbish pallets. Windows may as well not exist since you always get hit through them.

Maybe a way for perks not to stack together.
Facing only one regression perk isn't an issue, facing a full stack of regression perks, where your generator loses 20 percent of progress and then locks up and continues regressing at 300% speed is.
Facing only one aura reading perk isn't an issue, facing a full perma-vision Huntress that knows exactly where everyone is at all times is.Moderation does a lot to mitigate the generalization that the entire concept is bad. Aura reading, like regression perks and many other, could be much healthier if, for example, killers didn't have vision of the survivors from the start of the game AND after they lose a chase… and after survivors drop a pallet… and while survivors are healing…
There's a point where you feel cheated. Like game is essentially getting played by itself for killers.
Well said.

I mean same can be said for killers too. What aura reading perks? You're just waving your hand like most of them do anything. When's the last time you saw hangman's trick? How about alien instinct? Awakened awareness? Is the answer never? Because they're really really bad? I like the random segue to lightborn by the way. Definitely relevant.
Again your trying very hard and you must be bored, but here since your bored. Lethal, nurses, friends till end, face the darkness, darkness reveal,no where to hde and ofc lightborn makes sense how is it fair to deny a flashlight all game where it's one of the few defenses survivors have other now unsafe pallets? Try give a good one about lightborn . Finally Wall hack add ons like blights/chuckles in other worst the 5 constant use aura perks and ok I give you that others may not vlbe as common like alien instinct since BBQ does its job far better but you get what am going at.

I guess it's probably an uncommon thing around here, but I hate moris. In movies, gore is there to show how horrifying the scenario is, and I like that.
Ending a match with gore doesn't serve a purpose except to show someone getting murdered. That's disgusting to me. I'm know a lot of people like watching moris, but I'd like to be able to disable the animation from the survivor side. Like an option to just end the match for the survivor instead of watching.
Want to emphasize that I'm not going to judge anyone or say moris aren't popular. I just find them awful and will probably only play killer unless the update is reversed or I can choose not to watch them. I also only play killer about 30% of the time, and might just lose interest in the game if I'm not playing survivor.
Anyway, just wanted to sign up here and make sure BHVR knows there's a (presumably small?) minority of people who have this opinion.
I do too only weskers and tricksters my fav killers I do not mind it. Any other killer I see bring one I make sure they don't get to use it. They usually always tunnel for it too legions and ghost faces being the makor culprit.

Exactly but they won't admit to it and know aura reading is just as or more crutch as distortion is. I feel a lot of killers are assuming it was distortion without looking at perks. These lazy players just hid on the edges or in lockers. A lot jumped from locker to locker in the basement. It wasn't distortion it was knowing how to hide. It won't stop. I really think they used Object if Obsession that way they could track the killer and move away from them. They also had bond so they can run into you on gens.
I was a distortion user and was in a lot of chases too. All distortion did was tell me to get away at the beginning of a game.
The amount of matches I have recorded where the distortion user did far more than the non using one. Heck cant tell you how many times I had people with no distortion still hides all game doing jack squat. But ofc they are just gonna always blame the perk.
Just hope when things like nth gets called out for nerf and what not you see how defensive they get. But aura read for killers is just as lazy too like lethal, who cares if it's just 10 seconds , yeah 10 seconds and down go someone by a Billy before they even get a chance to blink and check out how the map is set for them. Funny thing watch when everyone now runs sole survivor it really be hilarious especially since that perk makes opening the gates booming fast.

I was simply talking specifically about Nowhere to Hide because you mentioned it.
Opening a locker doesn't take skill, but it does take time. Again, time is precious to the killer. A Nurse's Calling was added to the game because people would heal the moment they dropped chase while the killer was close by, and so the perk is designed to make that risky. Not everything is about skill. Hell, a lot of perks aren't about skill. Botany takes no skill for a survivor to use, it just works. Alert takes no skill (I see it all the time in my matches, it must be a regional or MMR thing). Sole Survivor rewards someone for letting their teammates die (and yes, it rewards that much more often than it rewards performing better than their teammates). My survivor build is Empathy, Botany, Self Care, and Bardic Inspiration. None of those require skill. One perk is information that activates because the killer has played well, one's nonstop increased healing speed, one allows me to have some chance of surviving in solo queue, and the final one is a lute.
Perks are perks. You get four slots, and you choose where you need help with gameplay mechanics or you choose something fun you want to play with. For killers, a lot of perks are about adding risk to the survivor side.
The only respectable perk ill give out there is BBQ simply because the killer is doing hard work downing and hooking someone to get awarded for it, all other reading perks are not awarding and usually requires a survivor interaction for killer to get free info from without them needing to do it thats all am saying.
BBQ allows the killer to stay active. The killer is able to go from one survivor to another, limiting down time. It also benefits the survivor on the hook by helping the killer find someone else to chase instead of returning to the hook. If a killer has trouble finding survivors in the first place, BBQ isn't much help. Any perk that requires a lot of interaction with survivors for aura reveal will be of limited help to a killer who needs help finding survivors in the first place.
Notice no one complains about BBQ?
This is incorrect. You're new to the forums it seems, so perhaps you haven't seen it, but it has indeed been complained about, even after the removal of the Bloodpoint bonus.
Any survivor who does that is honestly I take killer side
I agree. I have always considered BBQ pretty healthy for gameplay, for the reasons I listed above and because a survivor who really doesn't want their aura seen has ways to counter it.
at least with gen regress it requires hooking for most of them
See, there's a big different between gen regression and information. Gen regression does something for the killer, and it's either automatic or it requires a small amount of action. So, something skillful like getting a hook is required before the regression. The regression is an action that then occurs automatically or with a bit of input. Meanwhile, auras do not in and of themselves do anything. It's not an action, it's information. The skillful part is what's required from the killer afterward. They have to decide whether or not to use that information in the first place, and then they still have to catch the survivor.
Information does not in and of itself equal a successful outcome. Unless you hook someone and forget to kick a gen with PGTW, in general gen regression automatically provides some bit of success for the killer, even if it's minimal. The result of an aura being shown could be literally nothing, the killer might not even be looking in the right direction at the time it's revealed.
As I say do not be surprise when aura reading perks /add ons starts to more complain about, but hopefully you and every killer also dont cry nerf shadow step/object if some how they become popular which am sure regardless it be complain about as killers want every survivor perk to be in the garbage bin. Hey I even seen a post about nerfing hope…….of all things lol a perk that only works end game.

@TragicSolitude said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3815056#Comment_3815056
So it's not about activation via killer input, it's about the killer 'earning' the perk. Which would probably in your opinion require interacting with survivors, yes?
But if the killer is not finding survivors, how are they going to 'earn' the aura reveal that helps them find survivors?
There's more to kicking a gen than just "a survivor worked on it." The killer has to take the time to kick the gen in the first place, and time is more precious to a killer than to survivors. Also, killers are limited to how many times they can kick a single generator, so if there's not much progress on it they have to choose whether it's worth kicking for the possible aura read, because there's no guarantee they will see an aura after kicking the gen.
I just pointed one out, lets do darkness reveal for example then since your not getting what am saying, opening a locker how does that take any skill? I can understand its more huntress/trickster needing to reload but still getting value of opening a locker (even though you need to reload your stuff takes no skill.
Ill repeat, Why is my aura reveal for doing my job as survivor where it healing myself or a team mate, why is my aura reveal for unhooking someone? why is my aura reveal by that lil annoying mouthy doll to get a free hit through walls. Ofc I can list all the stuff that requires almost no skill on a killer part when it comes to aura reading but ofc with the 70 + combination of aura add on/perks that be much so its fine.
The only respectable perk ill give out there is BBQ simply because the killer is doing hard work downing and hooking someone to get awarded for it, all other reading perks are not awarding and usually requires a survivor interaction for killer to get free info from without them needing to do it thats all am saying. Notice no one complains about BBQ? Any survivor who does that is honestly I take killer side and say your wierd as a survivor for that and its counters are much more forgiving compared to annoying things like no where to hide/nurses calling, Weaves+franklins.
I just hope I dont see complains of nerf shadow step/nerf OOO and dont be surprise when aura perks become a huge nerf request session best of luck out there. Still waiting on you or anyone to give me a reason why cant aura reading be more limited in terms of 4 uses only like pain res?
It tells me without 24 hour wall hack killers cant do much, as at least with gen regress it requires hooking for most of them and thats not easy very people who know how to loop. Aura reading allows you to do way more things like shutting down a chase quickly , see no where to hide nurse for example.

I didn't realize Killers could run 8 perks. I should log in and run a build like Pain Res, Pop, BBQ, Lethal, Corrupt, Nowhere to Hide, Surge, and Bamboozle with this newfound knowledge.
If you want to count "addons and powers" then survivors have 16 perks, 8 addons, and 4 items compared to a killer's 4 perks, 2 addons, and 1 power. Survivors have more tools whereas Killers have stronger tools.
Still havent answer my question but Its fine just dont be surprised when every aura perk starts being complained about the top one being no where to hide with its none low cool down down.

That's stuff they're doing, that's input. You could say it's too much reward for what they are doing, but it's inarguably something they are doing. As killer every second is valuable and they're using the most valuable resource the killer has: time.
You're sitting here saying free this, free that while ignoring that the killer spent a perk slot on this stuff, on top of the other activation requirements and limits these perks have. None of them are "free".
It is free else it would have a token limit like distortion and that is what all killer aura reads should get just like how pain res was change to 4 tokens only so should all aura read perks even if it's survivors too I could not care less. How does getting Wall hack free hits from chucky with rat poison even fair. There is also so add on too that does too much aura reading shouldn't stack anymore either just like how endurance stacking is not a thing no more.
Why can't 4 uses only of aura read be enough for you why must it be 24 7 its just not a shameful thing to say no killer cant play without aura read. Give me 4 slow downs because as i said if a killer cant catch a looper then those 4 gen slow down mean nothing cause you have to hook to use most gen slow downs.

How do you say these activation requirements don't require input from the killer while simultaneously describing the input the killer is doing?
Is it hard to open a locker or kick a gen? How can you kick a gen if it has no progress which requires a survivor to work on it which it's the survivors Input or ill be more straight forward what skill does opening a locker or kicking a gen takes from the killer to get free informstion?
-
@Crowman said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3814926#Comment_3814926
It's a 1v4. The killer perks are going to be stronger on a direct comparison to what survivors have access to, because a killer only has 4 slots whereas a team of survivors has 16.
Also everything requires no input if you ignore things that do require input. Gearhead requires you injure a survivor. Opening a locker is an input. Kicking a gen is an input.
Nurses may not require a specific key press, but the killer still has to be close to you for the aura reveal and often means you already see or hear the healing action already. Nurses isn't even popular right now as it's not very strong for the slot.
Umm killers have 8 perk slots, that will be their 4 perks+ two add on + their power . Oh how about a plague killing every healing builds in the game and robbing the arti emblem for free is fair? I think she should be changed then and what's wrong with asking for aura reads to be more limited to 4 stacks like distortion. If survivors ain't to perm stealth killers should not be fed free info 100% of time. Use nth 4 time's? Ok now you gotta search harder to find a survivor via old tools scratch marks pools of blood or game sense and knowledge of possible hiding spot. Also again lighborn should not negate a flashlight or flashbang infinitely for self defense or team saving but I guess it's OK right?

Survivor seeing killer breaking stuff with Alert, no survivor input required.
Kindred: doesn't matter if you or your teammate is hooked, it shows the aura.
Object: every 30s you see the killer while you do nothing. See the killer when they see you and still do nothing.
Bond/Empathy: do nothing
Should I go on?
People run alert? I probably see that perk maybe once every 3 or more months, survivor aura reading perks other than windows is a complete waste of a perk slot else their pick rates am sure would be up there but it's not not even kindred, windows is the only one and I don't run this perk so even if it was to be nerf ty God this way Sable can stop throwing all the pallets when I need them.
-
me healing or being heal by someone else aka nurses= takes no input from killer
Me unhook and gets reveal = takes no input from killer
Opening a locker and finding me still don't count as input from killer.
Kicking a gen which requires a survivor to work on one also is no input from the killer.
Hitting good(use to be great skill checks) on gen the killer sees me with yet again no input from killer
Notice how far killers get free info for nothing but from survivors doing their jobs? @Crowman. I still need a answer why killers must be allowed free info. Also don't be shocked when things like nth be asked for nerfs.

If you look at the history of DBD, killers would usually run crap tonnes of slowdown so that survivors had to at some point be on a generator so they could be found, and killers actually had enough time to find them.... but we keep nerfing that playstyle....
I'll side with you on this one that survivors who complain a out about 4 gen slow down aren't smart. I Say this for 2 reasons. We I have too much gen rush speed perks and add ons. If 2 survivors go on a gen it's still fast even without gen rush things. 4 gen slow down did nothing if a killer couldn't catch survivors to begin with so those who do complain. On 4 slow downs are silly.
-
I love how killers think aura reading perks from add ons or perks arent as crutch or more of a crutch than distortion, obviously why distortion use sky rocket was cause of too much aura reading. I challenge a killer to give me a add on or aura perk that takes skill from their part other than BBQ that requires you to hook someone. What killers use to do when aura reading never use to exist? Side note I run OOO so don't ask for that to be nerfed please.

Please revert Distortion back or make the time in chase less as there are Killers whose power lets them ignore chase time through speed or instant downs. The Killer can also just not engage in chase which makes the perk no longer controllable by the user and solely rely on the Killer.
It is futile to try it won't happen. I Mean we seen time and time again once a survivor perk is nerf to garbage it remains that way. Maybe hopefully they can buff boon radius of shadow step but then killers will whine. Sorry friend but I still wish you luck am glad I made memory videos of all the nice perks we had then becomes a waste of time and funds to get them. If survivors stealth is taken away so should killers free information perks. Remember 2016 when killer had to use scratch marks, grunts of pain and blood pools. Hey I can really push it to say lightborn should not fully negate any flashlight and should only work 4 token max. Or how is someone like chucky with rat poison allowed free wallhack hits?

What is however toxic is teabagging the killer the entire game to make them feel bad. It is the equivalent of a killer smacking you on hook. What I find weird is that some people claim they do it because they want the killer's attention but as far as I am concerned this only has the opposite effect.
If you go out of your way to teabag a killer, then you are not sitting on gens anyway, so there is no reason at all for the killer to go after you of all people.
Fair enough but yeah killers claim they smack on hook to mute survivor scream yet me the weirdo who has calm spirit as base kit still gets smacked for simply looping or saving someone ( no t bags) at that point I should then have all rights to t bag without killer being mad since they hit me on hook first right?
Also I do gens am saying after completing at least 2 to 3 because killer is tunneling baby Meg amma get annoyed and want some Chase points too so I use it to try get attention off my tunneled baby meg.

Tell me you don't play killer without telling me you don't play killer.
Tunneling isn't personal. A killer that tunnels you doesn't do it to "ruin your game experience". They do it to win. The same as survivors, who run away from the killer.
Some killers also like an easy game and want to win without any issues but that's not going to happen, is it? Survivors try to optimise their playstyles and so do killers.
I don't think it had to do with playing x side then it's like me saying tell me that you don't play survivor without telling that you don't play survivor.
As someone above posted t bagging can be use for other things like please heal me, thanks for unhook, please don't finish the Gen/totem or even a thanks for a nice killer who gave hatch, or yes your tunneling the baby Meg who just bought the game 10 mins ago and I wanna be chased instead and not burn my finger out on just 5 gens, so both sides honestly will find whatever the other side does as toxic even if it's it's legit srltrats(tunneling)(looping, team saving,)

The fact this perk isn't even good with Doctor is pretty telling how bad it is...
I remember a suggestion someone made to flip it round, where every great skill check gave it 3 tokens. Once survivors realise it's in play they can just start hitting goods instead, but then it'd be decent when combined with overcharge/oppression.
Oh you beat me to it I was gonna day maybe doc with distressing, unnerved, merciless or huntress lullaby and the perk itself xd.

I literally was saying this for a long time even yesterday that unhook notifications should be gone, it won't fully counter tunneling but will at least somewhat help since it just means killers should pay attention more to huds.
Every high mobility killer or teleporting killer are some happy return to hook Andy. They start a chase with someone then immediately goes back hook even if who they was chasing could have got a easy hit from said person.

Nope love it too cause 95% of the time I get to play a full match vs them(swf) without having any baby rage quit vs solo q baby rage quitting Timmy. People seem to like my wesker and trickster because I don't really play too sweaty and love to mess around mostly specially if I see any of my re babies in the team.
I also have a soft spot for yunjin, yoichi quintens and Trevor's as I love those chars too well my Leon and Yochi is p100 working on trevor next, am gay so yeah gonna have a 3rd male p100 survivor xd. I do need to work on Ada however since re2 is my fav re. I also tend to get alot of positives in my stream which is what I aim for.
I forgot to quote @Spare_Them_Mori_Me cause mobile weird sometimes .

I never understand something, people complain about swf, yet swfs may at least play out a match fully not saying some don't baby rage quit but it's far less common then solo que rage quitting but then yall complain about solo que quitting.
Also as some said not because you got the rarely good 4 survivor team means it's a swf. It's rare but a 4 man good solo team can happen at times and I as a streamer has experienced this when playing as both sides and actually laugh and appreciate it vs when it does cause happen cause then it makes me learn from mistake I did as either side and consider how can I not let that mistake happen again.

Was it really survivor sided?400 bps bonus on survivor makes me beg to differ. Ever seen people like ayrun who camps Thomas house as huntress chucking hatches while your trying to dodge busted Billy or nurse? It's like facing 2.0 knight mains with pincers attacks and it was disgusting. Idk evey event for me has been killer sided since last anniversary. I Prefer idv 2 v 8 cause survivors actually have abilities to counter hunters double teaming somewhat. Hopefully all the sweaty killers go in 2 v 8 and 1 v 4 will be more manageable.

I think there are three main reasons why people dc. 1.) They don't enjoy playing against the killer. 2.) A sandbagging or total potato teammates who make the game completely miserable 3.) They've grown to understand map pressure and snowballing, so they understand early losses mean they won't be escaping anyway.
It doesn't help that so much of the game (including the MMR) revolves around escaping. If the games at four gens and everybody is on death hook, there's not much of a reason to even bother touching a gen, as the killer is just gonna mow you down anyway. I feel like there needs to be more XP and more bp for doing things like gens, altruism, etc. It does suck to work your butt off all game to get left on hook as your teammates run through the exit gate.
The worst is that you done your part in helping sorry team mates who can't do nothing but gens cause they get down in 5 seconds in chase and you gotta carry them to do it and killer is not evening camping or they do not have noed and it's not something like Bubba.
Had a match on dead saloon vs a doctor who was pretty bad couldn't catch me all game yet catches my team 2 times each so I would force him to come for me as they was on last gen, then ofc I get down by crutch need and what's crazy is a person did cleanse it and one was getting chased yet Dwight as they typically are is spinning and t bagging at open exist gate instead of getting me where I died.
Dwight ofc is the one at 4th place and am in 1st even though I died with 0 hooks and it's those very same players who gets karma to them and when it happens to them, they come into your stream to tell you off. Its the same reason now I start being some what selfish now to random and do the same thing unless it's my swf ill happily die for them only.

I've been thinking about this for a while and came up with a theory about why so many people quit at the slightest inconvenience, an epidemic that pains me to say has stopped me from playing.
I just want to test this idea with everyone and see if anyone agrees.
I think it's the burnout of course, but why? It has to be slightly more than that and my idea is the combination of Perk Changes and MMR.
Let me explain:
You see, if you were a good player because of your perks - and let's be honest - everyone is helped by them - you won 🏆 a lot!
As a result, your MMR kept increasing of course. But, when your perks got nerfed, your mmr didn't change.
In order not to make this too long, my point is perhaps way too many players are in an mmr they should no longer be in but because it's so hard to drop now, they are stuck.
I think this also leads to "hot takes" with each side demanding perks be buffed and nerfed long after they've been available.
What do you think? Am I onto something or way off base?
Again, please be respectful 🙏
I'm a Freddy Killer main and a Nancy Survivor main. I played both roles until this new trend just made me say enough is enough and I'd like to see it significantly be reduced.
Thank you 😊 🙏
In my opinion and also honesty I know that its because of the constant survivor nerf perks=dead hard/old iron will(no exhaust) circle/spine chill, adrenaline (distortion ofc) and am sure you know the rest so I wont list all of them. Yeah killer perks get nerf too but no where as bad as survivors version.
Survivor base things nerfed such as injure speed boost reduced/ great wiggle skill checks removed that use to give faster wiggle off. Finally terrible smaller clutter filled maps with like 50 + hooks and unsafe loops and pallets(haddon field the king of it)( I know the extra hooks was because of old boil over abuse and maps was way bigger and what not but this is not a thing anymore )
Honestly I remember before 6.1 days people rarely if never dc, survivors even seem to rather be chased or even goof around and not be on gens all the time and do more fun stuff and not even hide when good perks like circle use to be good for healing and recovery, even if survivors also lost they where very less toxic or not toxic at all.
Then these latest killers are having so much antiloop amongst other broken things in their kit or add ons. I remember I use to play and stream this game everyday even after my 8 hour full time job so its as if am working from 8am to like 12am lol, now as time progress the most I play is maybe 1 day(just to do my 8 hours in) and honestly its more am forcing myself to do it since I do not have a major game I can think of to keep my viewers and losing 90% of my swfs during these time too is no longer better, its a miracle if ever some how get lucky with a full 4 man as even having a 3 man , I tend to get the random who kamikazee on first hook when down fast.

Lol my friend you made my day x3. That's the same way I react to myers all the time, next time it happens amm share.
-
Hey now I want a word with you myers just appearing out of no where or I barely look up from the Gen seeing you staring this whole time, my viewers loves every moment of it loool.

Do you even know how survivors can jumpscare a killer player with a pallet? :D
No joke: - I once spilled my coffee all over my table and keyboard when I was in a match casually carrying survivor to a hook through a pallet tile, and this evil being just pumped out of no where and instantly smashed me with the pallet.
This guy jumpscared me so bad - I hit the cup of coffee with my elbow, and made a really weird noise. :D
Now I don't go to a hook through pallets anymore. I'm learning…
I did that to a patrolling onryu who I thought had found me and I drop the pallet in panic, the way she swung I knew she got jump scared lol.

Consider her like twins, no changes will ever make people like tbh, she's just like twins rare as they are, no one just can't stand them both needs full proper reworks.
-
No amount of changes will ever make me like this washing machine of a failure just delete her and to me she's still gonna be annoying, she's still not nerfed enough. I am glad she at least took away tricksters hate. Moral is some killers will never be liked simply cause their playstyle. I for example do not mind hag but people seem to despise her xd. Her rework chase theme is one of the few I enjoy theme remake wise.

Consoles do not have access to chat either, even though I play on both ps5 and PC but mostly ps5 cause I rather not see salt mine chat end game and my ps5 is set to friends only message.

I think all killer aura read add on should be gone and all aura perks should get pain res treatment. So all aura read killer perk should only be able to use 4 times max so killers should not have unfair 24hours free information and also they should only be able to use 1 aura reading or add on and can't stack them just like how survivors lost ability to stack endurances.
