The devs have nerfed Nurse several times and have said repeatedly that Blight will be getting looked at. I can't remember what changes Wesker has received.
Almost every aspect of the game will receive nerfs, buffs, or a combination at some point in time.
-
I understand the devs want to include some actually challenging tasks.. but if it encourages people to play in a way that has a strong negative effect on the other players, then maybe don't?
The major problem with these types of challenges is you can only select one at a time. Honestly I think the experience would be much better if some challenges were always active so long as you are playing while that tome is ongoing. That way you could gradually make progress towards them through normal play rather than committing to be either a massive try hard or a useless, selfish ######### for the next 3 games minimum.
-
Olympic level mental gymnastics.
-
Now I'm just picturing a factory somewhere owned by Bhvr with thousands of computers and each one has a robot actually playing Dead by Daylight with a mouse and keyboard.
-
I'm not interested in continuing to debate about this. It's really a non-issue in my eyes.

Yeah but that's not what is about is it? It is about being a good sport even if you get steamrolled?
I've already said I disagree that being a good sports means you have to say gg. And I think having that expectation of others is self-centered.

It is part of the game though, same as cheesy strategys... Therefore I would stick by it unless they do bm you in some sense I don't think it changes anything.
I didn't say it wasn't part of the game. Doesn't mean the person being tunneled had any fun or a good game.

That's almost bm again, I mean in other games even if people use rather cheesy strategies it is expected to still gg since it is part of the game, same with those things in DBD, I'm not sure how they do it in comp but I would expect them to be at least good sports and gg every match?
I don't say anything because I'm on console. But I would only say gg when I sincerely thought it was a good game for everyone. I don't think saying gg is required to be a good sport. In situations where somebody clearly got screwed (like the one guy who the killer managed to tunnel out) I think saying gg would be rude to them.

One thing I know is that you lose multiplier bonus when you exit game and restart.
Really wonder there should be 'consecutive matches' condition when they could do '2x for every matches'.
Yeah I'm not gonna bother chasing this bonus. A straight up 2x or even just a 1.5x multiplier would be worth it, but not this.
-
@HarlockTaliesin said:
It's buggy. From what I can tell, once your prior trial is over you're supposed to be able to queue up for the next one and start ramping up the bonus. However, if the next trial lobby takes a while to spawn the bonus doesn't seem to kick in or will completely reset. Also, even while playing back to back trials with little downtime in between the bonus seems to randomly fall off, then has to ramp up again.
Switching between survivor and killer also seems to cause issues with the bonus, even though you're still playing back to back trials within the same timeframe.
Occasional bugs, particularly with new things in the game, is understandable (to a point). But it's really annoying that most things don't just work.
Very annoying and frustrating. It being buggy explains why they aren't being transparent about how it works.
-
Xeno will be nerfed tho.
-
That's how the perk was intended to work. It's not another another requirement.
-
I'd like to know because if it's 5 minutes then I have time to run to the bathroom or pick a new challenge to work on.

Rather have 10 Weskers in a row than 1 SM. I’m sure the 10 Wesker matches combined will finish faster than the 1 SM match. I’m also including the queues to get into the match lol.
Very true lol. I gotta count my blessings 🙏
-
It's a stupid perk and you're forced to equip CS to counter it, which hinders your ability to do totems. You can't just run in an "unpredictable" direction.. you leave scratch marks. Most killers will be on your ass in 5 seconds or less
-
I mean a lot of the challenges in the tome involve using items and if the killer hits you with Franklin's at the beginning of the match you know this match you're not going to make any progress towards your challenges. Obviously if this happens once in a while you should get over it but if it keeps happening multiple matches in a row, I can see being very frustrated and giving up.
-
Lol the game is 7 years old, what are you expecting?
-
I don't think the devs should get into the habit of slapping downsides onto every single perk tbh.
-
Thanks everyone!
-
Does Calm Spirit negate the location aspect too or just the scream?
-
I thought Lucky Star was a joke when I first read it but I actually kinda like it. It's nice being able to see where everyone is. The best uses I've gotten out of it so far is in end game I can see which exit gate is being opened (especially because I often forget where they are lol) and seeing what gens everyone is working on, so I know if a survivor is chased off a gen that that one across the map is at 90% and it's probably a good idea to go try to finish it rather than letting it regress to 0.
And I think with a stealth build like Quick and Quiet and Lucky Break you could have some fun plays. I do wish the values were higher, however.
I like Chemical Trap a lot. Just a fun perk when you can pull it off. You can drop a pallet and use it as protection while you work on a gen and if the killer doesn't come or decides not to break it, you can reset the pallet with Any Means Necessary.
I also really like Lightfoot. I'm just really into stealth perks lol. This is how I originally thought they would buff Lightweight some day so it's nice to see the ability make it into the game.
Nic's perks are fun and Dramaturgy and Plot Twist can actually be strong in some scenarios. But ultimately they're just silly and I think it's a good idea for Bhvr to release perks like that every so often, especially when tied to a character like Nic Cage.
I haven't played as Xeno yet.

The team that works on the chapter content and the balance changes aren't even the same.
And I don't waste my time reading every comment in a thread. You could have edited your original post if you wanted and people would stop mentioning it 🤷
-
Why are the last two bullet points related? You refunded a dlc because you didn't like the changes to another killer?
-
So it's not the endurance that's doing it but survivor behavior? Got it. Misleading title

When they nerfed the Undying Ruin combo.
It was bad for the game. Glad it's gone and never coming back :)
-
I love it. I've put about 25 hours into it already. It's a ton of fun but I hope they have content in the works though because I can see it getting old after a few months. My biggest gripe is that the grind is huge. After you hit level 12 or so leveling up slows to a crawl.

When it's the difference between a down and a chase going on another 20-25 seconds or more saying "look number smol" doesn't really mean anything.
Lol

Dailies are extremely dated. The mobile game has a fantastic daily AND weekly system that these devs should just adopt.
I'm glad they started to event tomes regularly, I enjoy those a lot. But in the months in-between I would really love better dailies.

It’s kind of a mad ask to not only make the game, but dedicate all of their free time to it as well. Developers have lives too, y’know.
They should be getting paid to play it lol

What alternate universe did you come from because Adrenaline has literally never been nerfed.
I was wrong about what was nerfed but it was nerfed. It didn't originally cause you to be exhausted because exhaustion didn't exist when it was released. So you're wrong too 😉

Any licenser can decide to pull out at any given time, and at that point it's out of BHVR's hands. Especially with a live service game, there's no such thing as a permanent license. At the same time, however, players are entitled to the content they've purchased. Which is why players who bought the ST characters and skins get to keep them, but the map had to be removed entirely.
Regarding ST, the consensus remains that it was Netflix that pulled out after 2 years, in favour of spending resources into their own dead-in-the-water gaming service. Mathieu himself has stated that, despite BHVR's efforts, there doesn't seem to be any chance of them regaining the license, because Netflix has outright ignored their inquiries.
Licensers can only pull out if a contract ends and they choose not to renew or if Bhvr breaches a contract somehow. Unless you're suggesting Bhvr signs contracts that say the licenser can pull out at anytime, but I don't think that's the case.

There's been a lot of games prior to DBD that received licenses and the stranger things situation is the first I've heard of a license pulling out after release. Looking at the timing of that content it can be assumed they signed a 2 year contract with a 60 day extension to renew/re-negotiate. Some games like fortnite, intentionally have leased content. But I've never heard of a situation where something like a Lego game could not be sold because the IP holders no longer wanted to be associated.
After watching Mclean's first impressions of the Alien chapter I wonder if Netflix wasn't happy with the way BHVR presented the Demogorgon.
Why would Netflix be upset with how demo was presented? He's always been a solid, well-liked killer. This was almost guaranteed to be about money and them wanting to make their own Stranger Things game.
-
This perk has already been nerfed. Healing two health states was arguably OP but it's fine now. If it gets nerfed anymore it'll be useless. But I know that's what a lot of people want.
-
That would be super cool. I've never seen this suggested before and I love the idea

Yikes.

Nightfall is horrible only on my PlayStation in combination with an OLED TV. I literally don’t see anything. When I‘m playing on an LCD monitor, the difference is massive. When I set the monitor mode to brighten darker areas (I guess PC players can do this easily with filters), it’s even more ridiculous. I wish the devs would at least do something to make the visibility comparable across different setups.
(It takes some effort and moving stuff to connect the monitor so I don’t usually do it because I rarely run into a Dredge)
Is the setting to brighten darker areas called "black detail?" I see that on my TV I think I'm gonna experiment with it

Maybe it’s the contrast of the survivors’ aura? Your eyes are trying to focus on something and that’s kind of stark. Could create strain.
That's possible. I'll have to pay attention next time I go against him to see if it gets worse with other survivors around.
-
Edit: never mind
-
@Ayodam said:
I main Dredge. What change do you suggest?
I don't know. I don't know why nightfall or boon auras hurt my eyes. It's not something I've experienced before in DBD or any other video game. I play plenty of horror games and stealth games that are near pitch black that do not hurt to play. I'm not a dev or an eye doctor.
-
@Carth said:
They haven't touched dredge because weakening his nightfall/making it "pleasant" to be in would defeat the purpose of it entirely. It was weaker in the PTB and considered a joke.
Also when has Bhvr ever "sprung into action" around accessibility? It took them years of requests to add color blind options, years of requests/a mobile feature being made to add visual TR, and years of complaints to do anything about flashlight clicking
There's middle ground between nightfall being a joke and being painful.
Okay the second something gets media attention or starts trending on social media they spring into action. And just last patch the motion sickness claims caused Bhvr to immediately revert a bug fix
@pizzavessel15 said:
the dredges power is literally to obstruct vision lol you want the devs to just add an option in the settings so you can see through it?
Yeah if it's physically painful it should be adjusted. Not sure why this is controversial. They can buff Dredge in other ways that don't literally give you a headache.

its a part of the game, just like the exit gate tbagging most survivors do.
No.
-
Nah I'm gonna keep using it. You want to play optimally? Find friends to play with.
-
I've never seen anybody ask this question.
-
Did you how there is a first match of the day bonus for each role?
Always play during the double XP events and when they do log in rewards they often include shards.
Earning higher emblems gets you a small boost.
The grind does suck and I wish the PC/console version had XP boosters like mobile.
Also, this isn't a free to play game and older DLC gets heavily discounted probably every 2 months
-
Really? And right before this patch you were regularly getting 3ks and 4ks?
Because people say this after literally every single major patch.
-
Yesss! I haven't been more excited for a chapter since Silent Hill. Been wanting this for years
If they got Sigourney Weaver I'm gonna scream

The killers red stain in front of them has been there since the start, but in my opinion I feel like it is an outdated mechanic.
1. It hinders killer cosmetics in game. You wanna look cool? Well heres a giant red blob.
2. It goes through walls sometimes basically telling survivors where you are
3. It follows teleporting killers showing you exactly which way they teleport.
4. It removes the suprise scare factor that that I miss as survivor.
Maybe it should be added in a new gamemode or custom option in match settings for custom games. I'm curious on what everyone's thoughts are on this. You don't have to agree, just have fun with this discussion.
1. Nonsense.
2. Those instances are bugs and should be fixed.
3. Sounds like very minimal counterplay.
4. Killers can use the red stain to their advantage and surprise the survivor, though..
