I've never seen a huntress in comp, have you?
what’s comp? And since when does Bhvr balance around it?

With the complete miss with the darkness game mode this is a big w this one was super fun to play.
yeah I like it a lot. I hope they do more silly stuff like this in the future!

would a giant Oni even work on The Game?

everyone has a 100 prestige character? My highest is Claudette at like 38.

Guess I should have bought AOT Oni skin for this
can the killer equip skins? Survivors can only do default outfits.
-
What if you fail to get the save? Should accidentally tapping the flashlight on for 1 second disable DS? What if you save with a pallet? Should dropping pallets be a conspicuous action?
-
I don’t think healing needs more nerfs.

This isn't players asking for free stuff for existing. This is an event, something live service games have to get people playing more so that those people will spend more money in the game. BHVR puts large price tags on cosmetics to cover the cost of updating the game with new things like events. Most comments I've seen concerning the event aren't just a little disappointed, they're very disappointed, especially when many of us would've preferred the LNY event to return and this is what we get instead. There's no big increase in Bloodpoints, and there's no fun new mechanic, so all that's left is neon red garbage covering my screen for no good reason.
If you like the event, that's fine. I don't understand the need to be dismissive when other people don't like it and share that disappointment. If we don't bother to tell BHVR when we're dissatisfied, then there's no chance they'll improve in the future. This suggests players should just uninstall instead of providing feedback.
You’re right. Feedback is good and OP was civil.
Sorry @Venusa

"I’m not sure what you were expecting from a DBD event"
Let me answer that for you:
- I would expect the corresponding event offering to work. Sorry but I just can't pass that off as "annoying". Expecting the offering to work isn't having a high standard, it's wishing for bare minimum.
- This event was promised to be "the biggest bloodpoint event of the year". So I would also naturally expect this promise to be fulfilled. If not, they shouldn't have made that bold statement for hype.
- They basically gave up on Lunar New Year just for this and a lot of players enjoyed the culture and the gameplay elements of that event more. So I would've expected this replacement to be at least be on that level.
- It's quite obvious that the event interactions weren't well thought-out. I wouldn't have expected most event-related activities like blood zones to be only active around deadzones without gens and such.
- Having Coup is kinda fun for killer but leaving no blood and being quiet when crouching are pretty insignificant for survivor gameplay. I would've expected survivor advantage to not be so trivial.
- I expected the event interactions to be at least worth interacting with since that's how the events have always been. Going out of your way to interact with the event is a waste of time especially for survivors.
- There should've been some type of balance for the amount of bloodpoints you get as a survivor vs. killer. You're almost forced to play killer if you want to take advantage of the event. You get 4~ times more for less effort.
- The events we had during last year have been amazing so I was expecting something to get excited about.
Hope this helps!
Sorry your free stuff didn’t meet your every expectation.

It’s not that the devs are designing 3 gen killers it’s that their map team is seemingly incapable of spreading out gens or creating maps that hinder brain dead 3 gen gameplay.
I mean the design team just created a fairly meaningful change to the core gameplay to discourage 3 genning and yet the people in charge of maps released a map where controlling a 5 gen is easier than a 3 gen on some older maps. They created a map with a big parking lot and an area behind the theater and thought “let’s put another gen in the middle of the map instead!”
-
Did you read the event page? Did you check the event tome challenges? I’m not sure what the confusion is.
-
It’s annoying the offerings weren’t tested properly before release for sure. But aside from even more BP, I’m not sure what you were expecting from a DBD event. This is generally what they are and have been for quite some time (with little gameplay tweaks here and there).
-
Look at a wall.
-
Other than the lackluster bp gain, I like it more. LNY was stale (but so are most events). I’d prefer a more unique look than the same few seasonal events every year.
-
Just delete the perk at this point. What an embarrassment.
-
Why is the gen spread so awful on this map? Other than the one that always spawns in the theater there is no gen on that side of the map. The parking lot and behind the theater are always empty, meaning there’s 3-5 gens all within sight of each other in the woods in front of the theater. I just don’t understand how you make a brand new map that favors 3 genning when you’re apparently trying to reduce that strategy in the game.
-
No, there’s no ETA on a rework of a map that was released 8 hours ago.
-
Also it sounds like you’ve been drinking the kool aid if you’re already complaining about “bully squads.”
-
Killer will never get easier than it is in the beginning. Play against bots if you’re struggling with basic mechanics.
-
no
-
Nah, perks literally make the game for me. Lights Out offers nothing new for gameplay, it’s just a filter with a couple mechanics switched off. It largely benefits killers and hugely hurts solo queue. I've played about 30-40 games and have really tried to like it.
If Bhvr really wanted this to be spooky hard mode for survivors then they needed to reward survivors in a unique way. 150% BP bonus is not it. They could have made a sort of hide and seek scoring system where survivors were rewarded points for escaping chases and evading the killer in the darkness and killers took back those points by catching them. There also could have been something like … lanterns throughout the map that survivors and killers could strategically turn on and off. These are really rough ideas but it’s the premise of something that would make playing Lights Out unique.
For a first modifier I thought this was a really boring, lazy introduction and probably one of the least picked options in the survey.
edit: also, let’s not forget Bhvr only recently finally introduced systems to the game after 7 years that hinder really unfun strategies like hard camping and 3 genning, only to introduce a mode that removes those systems and makes it infinitely easier for killers to win using those tactics lmao.
-
It makes absolutely no sense that you can’t hear Legion’s TR but their killer instinct still works.
-
I think, but don’t know for sure, most multiplayer games do limited time modes so they don’t take away from the core game’s matchmaking too much. It also can attract more people to come and play at certain times

I’m sure she has those lol. But not having voice lines means the legendary price isn’t worth it to me

Looks cool!
-
Breaking dull totems is a free 1000 BP (not 250)
A lot of challenges and even some achievements require you to do it
It can prevent certain killer perks if you get enough/all of them
-
What skins are gone?
-
Dude the devs can see how many times gens are being kicked or regressed in a match. They picked this number for a reason. They can also increase it if testing doesn't go well.
Your kicks will also be more impactful and they completely removed gen tapping.
I'm sorry you won't be able to 3 gen anymore but it's time to adapt.

I recently took a few months break and came back after Chucky was announced. I decided to purchase Skull Merchant (heard she got a rework) while I was waiting on Chucky to release, and I actually enjoyed playing her. She has become one of my favorite killers at the moment. She does have some issues that need to be addressed though.
Ok, YOU I believe. But nobody else :)
Glad you're enjoying her.

@Komi said:
100% Agreed, you don't even get one for prestiged characters so it's not even really a feature unless it's really the "Good Guy Player card feature"
Oh god, what if the only badges and banners they release are tied to purchasing cosmetics??
-
@Xyphus said:
Yeah.. Like no one would've bought the Tiffany or Back from the Dead skin without this feature..
That's not what I said at all.
-
People like to say they just really love her kit, she's fun to play. I don't believe it. You enjoy playing her because you know survivors hate playing against her.
-
If this is really how they intended to release the player card feature, with ZERO customization to start with, then this is an utter embarrassment of a rollout. What's the ######### point???
-
Unfortunately when you play an online multiplayer game you run the risk of losing. I hope Bhvr will address this glaring issue in the future. Maybe they will be able to create games with bots that are indistinguishable from humans that always let you win. But not TOO easily so you don't get suspicious.
Maybe Bhvr could even invent a mechanic in which once a killer starts to lose against real players, the killer will be instantaneously transported into a server created carbon copy match EXCEPT the secret bots will play worse so the killer can win.
-
Yay! I hope we eventually get some new skins and characters :)
-
I'd love it doing gens refilled it! Maybe that's a good happy medium.t
It sucks when you go against a stealth killer because you spend so little time in their terror radius. And if it's Wraith or Myers with aura add ons? It's a dead perk in 30 seconds lol.
Plus how is simply being in a killer's TR outside of a chase a way to "earn" a perk? I could be crouching in a corner accomplishing nothing just to regain tokens.
-
Buff Calm Spirit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Or, ya know, just reverse the asinine nerf)
-
Why would they go out of their way to remove it just to bring it back? I don't understand why the devs care about it so much, but for some reason they do and I don't see them changing their minds.
-
It's such a poorly designed perk it blows my mind. I've seen people say that even if you use Calm Spirit the bubble still pops up even though the survivor doesn't scream. Never tested it myself though, haven't played Xenomorph yet.
-
They aren't working for me, I'm not making any progress in the android app
-
I think kill rates would be a more important comparison to make. A perk being used 18% vs 24% of the time isn't going to matter much (though it's still a statistically significant difference) but a 54% kill rate vs 60% is.
-
I don't remember this being a thing but I wish it was!
-
Nah. It's not necessary. And it would help certain killers tunnel. Or not even tunnel, but make decisions on who to go for next. For instance if they killer comes across 3 survivors working on the last gen. A killer who was actively paying attention will remember that Claudette and Jane have 1 hook and David has 2, so they can go for David to secure a kill or one of the others to spread hooks if that's what they want. But people forget either because they are distracted or just have a weaker memory. Maybe they had just a long chase with the other survivor and they are a bit frustrated because it didn't go well. Who knows. But if the game puts what basically amounts to a giant red arrow above David's head then that requires zero input on the killer's part. And that handholding could very easily turn the game in the killer's favor.
Every time this topic comes up everybody likes to play cute and say "well I want it because I like to spread hooks 😇😇😇." It's disingenuous. If that's your goal then pay attention.
And to people who say "well why do survivors get it? They can pay attention to!" And they can, and I'd rather have it go away for survivors before be added for killers. However, paying attention to who you personally put on a hook is way different from paying attention to the actions of two other players when you're not seeing or participating in those actions. It's not even remotely the same thing.
-
I wish all my solo games had 1 or 2 flashlights in it so the killer would waste a slot on Lightborn or Franklin's
-
Well he doesn't choose different cages. Do you mean when he cages a survivor it would trigger scourge hook perk effects? Or just an add on that would have an extra effect whenever he cages someone?

Because every single match there are roughly 2 MFT users, if they are in SWF it can easily go up to the full set of four. And every time it makes looping just so tedious; it would be no biggy in the hands of a beginner, but any experienced survivor who could do well without it becomes nearly untouchable. The good players with this perk are so aggrevating and its so tiring.
Then don't play until the devs change it
