its a benefit depending on which killer you are playing you just need to learn to use it right most of the time
with clown I used it as a approach or follow up after a hit
with pig its just an extra power since none of her main abilities in chase use m2 so its a straight upgrade on her
with demo you get close enough for an easy hit or shred or follow up after an m1
if you keep playing around with it, it can be used to great effect but if you hold it too long it hurts you so learning when to use it is also part of it

Agitation should increase pickup/hook animation speeds.
Brutal Strength should have its numbers buffed back to what they were originally.
brutal strength is still at its original numbers, they just changed the global pallet breaking speed to include some of the bonus speed that was gained by brutal strength, still the same speed of old brutal strength because of the global reduction in pallet breaking time

Not sure if agitation needs a change. It's a very niche perk as it is and it does it's job well enough.
Does BS work on walls? If not I don't see why it shouldn't. I don't know how hitting a breakable object would be different from just breaking it.
UP could probably use something but the thing to worry about is the Doctor. He's the only person who can get real use out of it with his moving skill checks and stuff. Buffing UP will also buff certain doctor builds.
yea but 6% and 12% are both laughably terrible so being good at all tiers is nice
brutal strength I think works on walls the addition was just being able to hit them with your main weapon at the same speed because it would be more fun
not enough people play doc anyway I think it will be fine if up gets buffed

Create new win conditions for yourself and put your nose to the grindstone to improve
heres an example
first game as X new killer
use their power successfully X times
and get 1-2 killers or X amount of hooks
setting close and easy to reach goals will help you track your progress learning as well as keep your expectations in check
another thing is ask for help from the community so you can practice or get advice, I know almost every killer, killer perk, killer power and addon inside and out and would be willing to help out someone newer to them

you posted on a public forum you don't get the audience you are looking for you get the audience that you are stuck with

try verifying the integrity of your game files you might have accidentally modified them

I'm saying yea ota a great time saver and it should only be 2 times but why the range only be 32m I could cary them there most likely then
because reasons

Thats not the worse idea ive heard but only 2 times per a game you would beed to get rid of the range then because you could cary them to it then
most games only last around 9-12 hooks so having 2 uses is a decent amount especially if it wastes survivors time for having to travel across the map without you having to go there yourself to put them there
-
Honestly, I think the fog whisperers should be retracted and more just have highlight a streamer each week so just to show off some fantastic members of the community and not just force people to hold high standards 24/7
-
Monstrous shrine seems a bit off so how about reworking a new effect into it instead of it affecting map gen,
3/6/9 % faster Entity progression.
5/10/15 % increased difficulty on escape attempts.
3/6/9 % increased penalty to escape fails.
Twice per game when a survivor is on the ground and you are 32 meters or more away from the basement hold the secondary ability button to send them to the basement and hook them, their hook timer is paused for 15 seconds from this method.
-
yes
-
Pc nurses are better because they aren't limited by their controls? also console survivors vs pc survivors are exactly the same controller or not so you are personally saying you don't want to face good players which would be on you to turn your crossplay off
-
I feel like the evolutions should be more varied than move speed and abilities
heres how I would put it
Normal (32 meter terror radius) 115% in chase, 130% when out of chase for 5 seconds, takes 3 seconds to decrease fully when starting chase (transformation in and out of this form and cooldown are halved 30 seconds instead of 60 second cooldown and 2 instead of 4 second transformation)
Ranged 110% (24 meter terror radius) speed gains a hook, takes 1.5 seconds to ready and launches at 30m/s (12 meter range) if it hits a survivor it latches onto them and the killer is pulled at them then launches a basic attack (attack can't miss as long as the projectile landed)
Trapping (28 meter terror radius) 115% can place snares using a snare gun (has no effect on survivors if shot at them), takes 2.5 seconds to set once shot and shots take 0.5 seconds between them (can be placed while moving) between 2 walls up to 8 meters apart survivors walking through the snares are slowed to 50% for 2.5 seconds and the snare is removed (only 4 shots available they recharge every 10 seconds)

Play clown it works with him 100% of the time possibly

My point still stands
the flute is an addon so technically yes

most killers cant but some like pig just get a new ability all together as her only other use of m2 is to place a reverse beartrap on a survivor

Excuse me, Wraith is OP because he can ring a bell.
This is 2020, not 2016. Nobody cares about his lame invisibility anymore.
I mean, how many other Killers have musical instruments?
Does Legion get a kazoo? Where are Trapper's bongos? Why doesn't Huntress have a guitar?
No, Wraith gets all the love and adoration of BHVR and people still want to give him buffs? SHM my head.
It's almost like people think he doesn't need to be Lightburned or could do with a higher movement speed while cloaked. All his many penalties are obviously there to offset the amazing power of music.
spirit has a flute, and the legion has a bunch of mixtapes
-
I think billy has a little more potential in the weapons department being a tinkerer and all so I vote him for representation

if you enjoy dead zones, not seeing over windows, and the turning radius of a semi truck then have at it, i couldn't care less what his ceiling is, he's more trouble than he's worth
hes more worth than trouble, he runs fast and is more fun and interesting than nurse and spirit which are the only killers I would put above him

blight trash killer? doesn't he have a skill ceiling similar to nurse with potential to be the 2nd or 3rd best in the game depending on if the spirit bug does or doesn't stay

Every hit doesnt touch me. Every killer has bad internet or vpns. Always getting hit through windows, pallets. Deadzones, LT walls. No filler pallets, no jungle gyms. Pretty much forced to run DS because tunneling us so common. Camping he hooks from the start of the game.
PH still boring as hell to verse, he can still cancel, has a spammable range. Bad event where I have to hold rb for 80 seconds to get bonus bloodpoints. The event offerings are hard to find and bad bp economy for survivors makes getting through these blood webs incredibly hard.
Only reason I even have offerings is because I have the og 2018 pustula petals. I tried playing a few games im already falling asleep. Dbd is simply a bad game. With devs driven by greed. They gave us this joke of an event.
I should also mention all these problems I mentioned are met with the usually survivors op you have swf on coms.
Survivor op they have comms on swf
-
They can't communicate 99% of the time because of non disclosure agreements they most likely would love to give insight and reasons to a lot of things but legally can't unless they get permission.
-
Its because they think they are entitled to better when they most certainly aren't, and even when they are thrown a bone they complain they didn't get the whole skeleton
-
New content is the lifeblood of this game Idk if you have noticed but people love this games consistently released new content
they will most likely never take a chapter for game health because thats what they use the midchapter patches for.
-
I think people forget that blight isn't very noob friendly when even the devs say he has a skill ceiling close to if not above nurse
-
I came up with the concept I get to name it
-
I think you are also forgetting mcdemogorgon where you don't bring rat liver and hold of the abyss the entire game with a 92% movement speed and can only attack using shred
-
Im gonna say stridor as well, the one and only killer perk in the game that trumps iron will and makes survivors still have injured sounds
-
Took about a year, I played very relaxed and tried nearly every killer in the game at that point never maining anyone, If you get a killer or two with the perks you want and grind at it about you could probably reach rank 1 in 3-4 months after starting but I think relaxed is the best way to do it.

Yeah, it was overpowered because you had that in a single perk. Imagine some games of vanilla DBD, meaning no perks and addons on any survivor and killer. Then think about what each perk is capable to do when you only had one perk slot.
Being depending on a team mate to heal is quite a big thing, there is a lot of stuff you should not do while you are injured (basement unhooks, dead zone gens...). The current SC version is at 50% because it takes basically the same time as team heal. 2 survivors healing for 16s or one healing 32s comes to the same amount of seconds that survivors do not work on gens.
A single perk removing the requirement of survivors teaming up at a very low cost is OP, yes. Having 2 perk slots blocked for that effect, while you most of the time do not even have that full speed boost is ok. As I said before, you can wait with selfcare until everyone is injured. Not sure if that is what you plan to do with selfcare. Otherwise, the perk combo mostly saves you a mere 4 seconds. And the counter arguments, why 32s of SC is mostly bad, don't get silenced by a 4s boost
EDIT: and I don't think that 12 to 16 second increase was done in regard to SC. That was more an overall game balancing thing, because "spreading damage" was more a thing that made killers lose games than win it, unless you are super efficient with it, like on Legion or with STBFL or with unsuccessful body blocking while carrying a survivor.
self care isn't bad the people using it the wrong way are, also speed boosts at the costs of other perks are some of the strongest perks in this game because survivor skill can make up for not having other perks but the time gained by having them cannot be made up for with skill

Yeah, got that from WTBacons response already. So what about the other stuff I wrote? I don't get why you quote me with that math stuff. I listed that I said exactly everything what this table is listing, but OP was not talking about Botany Knowledge. And without Botany, Selfcare speed is seriously not buffed that hard
Selfcare speed not buffed that hard? 57%, 64%, 71%, 78% healing speed without a medkit isn't that good? remember that self care used to be overpowered at 80% and with one extra healing speed perk alone you can nearly already reach it, it was so strong in fact that they nerfed the perk to 50% speed. And the perk itself was so influential that the entire healing time had to be increased from 12 to 16 seconds because even a 24 second self care was too strong for the game.

The thread was about speed, not charges per second. Selfcare does not consume any charges.
And I said nothing wrong, the table states this as well.
- I said, 1 stack of DM takes Selfcare 28 seconds -> Line 1 right most column
- I said, 4 stacks of DM takes Selfcare 20.5 seconds -> Line 4 last column
- I said, you need 4 stacks + Botany + Selfcare, meaning 3 perks and rare conditions, to get to full speed (which isn't even true, it still takes 0,93 seconds longer than team healing -> last line, right column)
So in case you wanted to correct anything I said, what did you mean? Also, my point was, that the title said only DM + SC, which does not increase SC speed that much. You need Botany as well to make it worth it. As the title and OP doesn't talk about Botany (also in OP "It even increases the efficiency of Self Care so much that it's practically the speed of someone else healing you") I simply disagreed with the mentioned massive speed bonus of DM alone.
....thats how speed is measured in this game in charges per second both with and without items and using the same formula of
(1+bonus)/(modifiers * modifiers) *modifiers add multiplicatively with other modifiers all bonuses are additive
the reason they have it is because that way when you are using an item it drains its charges properly, for example if you have a medkit with 16 charges and all of the above speedbuffs
healing yourself at 189% speed uses 1.89 charges per second of the medkit and heals at the same rate*
*not accounting for efficiency from botany knowledge
-
@Deadeye said:
It totally doesn't increase Selfcare that much. You need to get to 100% increased healing to get to the basic healing speed of 16 seconds. Meaning, the 50% reduction from Selfcare also reduces the bonus from DM. So with 4 injured people you are at 78% of the normal speed, which is 20,5 seconds instead of 16 seconds. Not sure if you want to wait until 4 people are injured before you selfcare. With you being the only one, you are at 28 seconds.
If you have 4 stacks + Botany Knowledge, you are at full speed. If you want to heal yourself quickly, I think taking 3 perks is pretty bad to do that. If you want to do a full healing build, I would at least communicate that with the team in chat and probably take Empathy as well. So maybe some of the others get rid of some healing stuff to rely on you.
But 3 perks is tough though. You only have 1 more slot for stuff like you normally need very often, like totem perks, exhaustion perks, BT/DS/UB or info perks like Kindred, Bond, Alert, Spinechill etc.
And I would for example not combine it with Autididact. The speed boost robs you a lot of skillchecks, you are less likely to get the stacks up. But I played Botany + BT + DM with sometimes even only yellow medkits on Felix for some time now because I got all to tier 3 on the way to level 50. min 50% faster medkit heal on yourself and the increased unhook speed + BT really can save lives. I had one game where I got someone out of the hags basement twice with that combo. DM can really support some good altruistic builds
self care is a modifier not a additive so its not -0.50 charges/second (thats how speed is measured) its (charges/second)/2
(base healing speed + bonus)/(modifiers * other modifiers) = x charges per second
heres a table to show you how effective those healing perks are
alone they are decent for both selfcare and healing teamates but together they are really strong especially since it makes at most self care take 21.7 seconds or at best 16.9 seconds
-
People would complain 10x more than they already do because X thing was only well done and not made 100% perfect
-
It usually depends on how im feeling but when im at rank 1 there is usually no point for a 4k other than an extra 900 bp for killing them
-
gameplay slowdown is a large aspect of killer, either they have perks to help them, use camping and tunneling to make their own, or rely on their own skills enough that just playing the game decently is slowdown enough, Not all players are that good at the game and tunneling/camping is an easier alternative, as game speeds keep going faster tunneling and camping becomes more enticing
-
This is a forum no one comes here to worry about typing in perfect English we all just come here to throw our opinions at each other and complain about the game 99% of the time. Complete sentences with paragraph structure and grammar is too much to expect just be happy if you see someone using punctuation.
-
doesn't count extra points and some killers are bugged
one of the killers who aren't bugged and gets a good amount of points for using their power is clown
150 per slowed survivor
250 extra if a survivor is hit with a bottle
300 if a slowed survivor is hit
should be able to manage maxed in a few chases if you really go for bottle hits
-
Blights already the 3rd or 4th best killer in the game behind nurse and spirit unless the current bug stays, hes fine as is
-
Skins on licensed characters
a blighted blight during the eternal blight thats like 3x the blight
log in rewards that can be saved for a free character + a good amount of bp
6 skins 4 are really good and 2 are at least good
ton of sales on previous blight skins trapper + wraith + billy all 75% off
Double bp even planned way in advance so people can prepare
Rift for challenges to have more variety during the event so you don't just burn out on regular games
Extra skins and bp from the rift
Fun event killer and survivor addons plus another great opportunity to get some spooky medkits and flashlights
My only complaint is that the new killer addon isn't year round already
-
The challenges might have been accidentally linked to survivors try playing adam or nea and see if you get full points
I know the killer ones certain killers aren't bugged, clown gets full points
