Blight needs more than just 4.4 movement speed, he needs to have 2sec longer time for token charge, and he needs to lose tokens when he break pallets and injure survivor, also maps like corn needs giga rework since they are very bad for survivors, like really bad!

How about buffing F tier killers so you see killers besides Nurse and Blight? No?
there is no F tier killers in this game, if ur a good killer u could go on 70%+killrate on all killers in the current mmr system, why do u think stats show that even weak killer have over 60% killrate on average. game is built for killers to win games, the best teams obviously are the counter to those people. but realistically that is very small precentage of players, and the A-S tier killers that are good at the game can counter those top teams.
-
it was said that we get mmr rework at feb if im not mistaken, at this point i doubt we get anything better if we ever get any, i would love to see strict mmr rank mode with actual visible mmr and rewords.

The game appears killer sided because 4/5 players are survivors, most players are casuals who don't understand how to play the game, which leads to unaware survivors losing more often than a single killer who doesn't need to rely on teammates to be smart. Most killers are very underpowered, like the ones on this top 10 most deadly statistic, they're only as high as they are because their powers are complex and hard to understand for casual survivors, leading to free kills that would never happen against well versed survivors
Because these stats are skewed by the mass amount of bad players, killer appears stronger, when in reality survivor should be dominating almost every killer on the roster if all players know the counterplay and basics to winning in general. The difference is especially noticeable when transitioning to high MMR, survivors will almost always win if they know how to play against the killer they're facing, unless the killer is an S tier/accessibility nightmare (Nurse, Blight, Spirit) you should be outing, even in solo queue
Instead of giving blatant buffs to survivor, BHVR should be focusing more on the casual player QOL and experience, adding things like video tutorials in the loading screen or better signifiers in game for certain aspects of powers, like an Onryo TV that can apply condemned if too close or letting a survivor know to couch if near Victor or a Torment Trail etc. Things that'll make learning how to play survivor effectively possible without just buffing the role across the board. The beginner experience is ridiculous
most killers are casuals, and yet still winning xd
-
Killers rarely quit, especially now when the game is favoring them, if u buff killers more than now u know the game could instantly just perish, happen many times, when things break and make no longer sense and no longer fun people would drop it, making killers get free downs is not fun and people will quit.
-
so where are the people who claim this is a SURVIVOR SIDED GAME? killers have over 60% killrate is enough evidence to debunk the SURVIVOR SIDED claim.

and even then cheaters still get around it.
yes but they at least be banned quicker. also some streamers and even comp players will be found cheating with such anticheat, which will be great for the future of dbd, less cheaters = quality.
-
i mean if u dont do a rework for mmr i will with all honesty do a 50 winstreak on all killers and upload the vod and claim KILLER IS EZ MODE, even tho i could go to a 100 or more, it would be waste of time, 50 is already too high, and i also have a life outside of the game, many people did it already btw, im not something new, the only difference would be that i would personally claim that killer is ez mode.
-
the thing is, there is casual players on both sides, but its far easier to be casual killer than casual surv nowdays, since pallets are not safe so even a bad killer can get free hits which breaks the game at lower level and sometimes even at high levels.

only invasive anticheat can fix it, something like vanguard.

At this point I don’t think it’s a skill issue either as I am connecting these hits without downs, it seems a genuine issue. Perhaps it truly is the servers?
128tickrate would solve most of the dsync issues up to a certain high ping level.
-
dbd needs to upgrade their tickrate servers to 128tick at this point, the hitboxes are really painful
-
Oni and aura readings are very problematic in 2v8.
-
not in every game, but there are a lot of cheaters indeed.
-
nemesis isnt weak killer, hes a mid killer, why give him more zombies? there is literal no skill involved u get free info and free gen perks, 2 is fine as it is.
-
Blight, and i dont enjoy it, boring easy mode experience.
-
when ur truly good at killer u would stomp most pub matches, it is what it is, unless mmr is truly fixed and strict.
-
i think hes fine as he is, making him stronger would be annoying to verse, good unknown players can utilize him well.
-
- 0: Low
- 1: Medium
- 2: High
- 3: Epic (Ultra)
- 4: Cinematic
Recommendation:
If you want the best playable experience, set them to 3.
If you have a beast of a PC and want to force the engine to stop optimizing (rendering things far away at full quality), use 4.

You really don't play both sides, unless you only play Nurse and survivor in comms. Even Blight struggles against this many pallets around strong loops if the survivors are at least decent. But even then, for the others 40 killers on the game there will be problems and maps will be almost unplayable. It would be like if, due to a bug, survivors couldn't repeat perks in a lobby, like they do in comp for top tier SWFs.
Blight and Nurse are not even 6% of the total pick rate. There is no reason to destroy the game to balance maps around them.
Hope they fix this pallet bug soon.
do u even know me? im over 12k, ive been here for years, my most played killer is blight, i play all killers on top level, seen it all already, gave my state of mine that is all, u claim i dont play both sides thats ridiculous statement.
-
well my rng is mostly trash as survivor, and been like this for years now.

The only map I've noticed more pallets on is crotus prenn here is a example from a public match I had. this is only pallets not windows
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/OPPI1FAUKKOJ/crotos-pen-pallets.png
This pic shows 6 chainable pallets, not including the shack pallet in the far back, there is a gym pallet right behind me
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/SD2CDA9VKDEC/crotus-prenn-2.png
This one also has six pallets nearby to each other/ chainable, gym pallet offscreen behind camera and to the left, you could probably chain pallets across the whole map.
screenshot not captured but there was also a nasty pallet spawn at the greenhouse, greenhouse pallet, one right in front of it then also the long one that spawns inside.to me it looks like a well done map if u versing a blight, in fact, blight will still get a down even with those pallets/ same with nurse, also u can run bloodfavor builds on killers to counter pallets.
-
as a person that play on both sides equally i dont mind this change, killers already have bloodlust and lots of tools to win games and get free hits, some content creators going on perkless streaks on killers so i dont see the problem at making maps more balanced, u could say more pallets = unbalanced, yea if u consider the lowest tier killers, which could just be buffed instead, they recently fixed nurse bug, and u can still play all those top tier killers. as long as those exist, maps should be balanced around them.
-
no idea what ur trying to say here, i could answer that being new survivor aint easy either, in matter of fact, blight is S tier killer, and S tier means Broken tier, year a new blight player will struggle against a strong team, but he wont struggle against survivors of similar skill level, i have over 1000 blight matches, i can tell u this killer is really unhealthy, the fact that u need a top tier SWFS to beat decent blights is insane.

Well now we just have outright missing pallets on the majority of maps, causing large dead zones smack in the middle of some maps. Midwich is atrocious now, so is dead dog, both have outright no pallets spawing in places where pallets always spawned, so the clutter on both sides of where that pallet is supposed to go is still there, just no pallet, which serves 0 purpose.
i agree, also 3gens started to spawn really close to each other, invictus lost due to such 3gen scenario in their winstreak yesterday, but this one in the photo i shown is even worse, u can stay as vecna near mid gen, put pressure from far away on the other gens, and if people try to do them u can get free downs and hook them in between those 3gen and get a free win :S
111.jpg 222.jpg -
my most played killer is blight, even tho i dropped him recently and play billy instead, i can tell u why i did it, cause blight is ez mode boring killer, i can get 4k after 4k every single game its not even a game anymore, its just stomping ground boring experience for me personally, blight not only need the 4.4 movement change, he also needs his tokens to be removed when he injure a survivor and when he break pallets, u could add 2 different addons which will negate those changes, also give blight purple addon that can give him 4.6 movement but he loses 2 rushes instead, so he will be 3rush blight with 4.6, this change would fix him completely. he will be strong but not busted.
-
2meter pallets are the biggest problem. every medicore killer can get free downs these days lol

seems like ur doing well then, u talk like 55% is bad, what do u want 80%? if u had 80% then what about the top players? 500000%?

Why? Is it because they are finally playing against people of equal skill level and therefore failing to get even 10 wins in a row? Unimportant really. If anything, a stricter MMR would make winstreaks more interesting to watch because then they would be winning against actually good players.
the fun part is that they will start to use full meta builds instead of comp builds, and even then they will lose to giga sweaty comp nurses/blights, even hidden gems will be shown(unknown good players).

As a soloq survivor, I lose matches all the time. It's not unusual to have a situation where almost everybody is death hook at four gens. Yet it never feels like a miserable defeat to me. It doesn't feel PERSONAL. I never get the feeling like the killer is doing things on purpose to get under my skin.
But playing killer tonight after a long time of playing survivor really reminded me of what the OTHER side of the game feels like. First match, within minutes a survivor runs up to me, nods and points and tries to get me chase them. Which they do repeatedly all during the match. I got hit with head on, bags at every pallet. And I wasn't playing toxic, it was four gens and I hadn't really done anything yet.
I'm not saying this kind of stuff is toxic. I think it's kind of cocky to run up to the killer and nod and point and all that. I think the impression is that of really confident survivors who want to show off how adept they are at the game. Which is fine I guess. But encountering "super confident survivors" who nod, bag, point and follow you around all during the match gets really old when it pops up in the majority of your games. Literally right out of the gate. (With the obligatory exit gate bags at the end. Obviously)
I do want to get back into playing killer the way that I use to. Because I like the killers that I have. But man, I just don't know how killer mains handle do it. It is SO much pressure, along with everything else.
like u said u dont play killer, if u were playing killer often u wont have those problems, today killer is easier than ever before.

I think he is a very balanced killer.
if he was balanced killer people wouldnt do 100 winstreaks, so many content creators are on the 100s winstreak with him currently, and he was just released lmao, the best way to balance this killer is make strict mmr, put him against comp ready swf every game lol

@Deathstroke said:
No I think he is solid B tier killer. The power is pretty easy to dodge.
Hes A-S tier, nobody mastered him yet.
-
im 1 of the strongest dbd blights no flexing, i currently shifted to play billy instead of blight, blight is by far the strongest killer beside nurse, the thing i can suggest for blight is 4.4 movement speed, slightly longer cooldown on his tokens, and the remoival of tokens when he break pallets and injure survivors, this would make him really fair actually removed from S tier and placed on top A tier. still very powerful and strong enough to beat top SWFs, but easier to handle.

Blight actually takes mechanical skill. That’s one of the reasons I feel like he shouldn’t be nerfed.
only if pallet density stayed, but it didnt.

You don't need defensive perks when the game ends in 2 minutes
You can watch a video of Hens with hyperfocus where they opened the gates at 2:30-2:50 minutes every gamelmao u basically put 4 comp players with full gen setup, deadlock alone is enough to make it impossible to do gens in such speed, obviously if everyone run full gen builds the game would be fast if the killers dont get quick downs, but i dont think u understand how good killers can be and how much pressure they can put, especially when slugging with A-S tier killers with such builds it would be easier to slug for the killer, people would be busy picking each other up than doing gens, to be frank against top tier comp killer it would go either way, u wont get those times against the best killers, is simple as that, u do it against pub killer sure, also very map dependent as well, now that maps are smaller u can hop from 1 gen to another quickly, making gen time go fast for sure, if u so scared of gen builds pick/ deadlock and endgame build, or totem build involving blood favor and devour to make chases go fast and then u can snowball with devour, u have so many ways to beat those gen rushers, its all skill issue bruv, if it was this simple then everyone would run gen build when doing survivor winstreaks, clearly people dont do it cause its not the most useful ones, also killer can run rancor with nowayout and noed and cheez 2k in many scenarios.
-
yes the tiers should be removed from pubs at least, should be viable for customs tho, and for rank dbd if bhvr ever made official dbd rank(not discord rank).

Which new perk combo makes a gen 17 seconds?
the tradeoff would be all stacking risking the killer to get to their gen and get pressure, and losing all defensinve perks, by using gen perks they will be downed fast and easily tunneled out.

@Shinkiro said:
Ah yes, nonsense survivor bias "balancing", aka make killer garbage and survivor effortless for easy wins.
its actually killer sided post, 20sec speed extra on gens? that would make even the weaker killers overpowered

They would need to lead in scores. At the moment, per official stats, experienced levels of play (meaning we're outside of newbies unfamiliar with how to loop and such), SWFs have a 48% escape rate on average across several matches. For a survivor, escaping is their win, so essentially, a near 50% chance to win. That means the killer has to be able to kill at least 3 out of 4 people to win their match when each of those people have a near 50% chance to escape. That's generally why people say it's survivor favored - the killer has to face off against 4 survivors who have a near 50% escape rate according to official stats at experienced levels of play, while those same survivors only face 1 opponent. As a reminder, a 60% intended kill rate translates to 2.4 kills per match on average across multiple matches. Some people have a hard time understanding that, so for those people, understand that a 50% kill rate is 2 kills on average, and a 75% kill rate is 3 kills on average.
48% escape rate for 4men swf means people in coms still on average gets 2 out and 2 dead, + and - . meaning that survivor in 4men is currently balanced in this game, and we talking about all killers from F tier to S tier, if we only include the A-S tier, then the 4men winrate will drastically drop to 20-30%, and soloq would drop to 5-10% lol

Extreme ping is certainly a valid issue, unfortunately its hard to really discuss when people think numbers like 80 or 100 are why they can't judge distances or compensate. Things like lagswitching have been an issue for both sides, and killers with number over 200 and the like have an inherent advantage due to how the game's netcode is structured, but it muddies the conversation when people can't help but be hyperbolic.
The best solution will always be more server regions to cut down on the average server distance, but that costs BHVR more than just manpower so its somewhat understandable why its not on the docket. Retooling the netcode to be more neutral without breaking things that require killer priority from the P2P days would also work, but its impossible to say from an outside perspective how much has been done on that front, nor how much still could be.
The only other thing would be forcing stability checks on players for ping and packet loss, but that would be ridiculous to even expect. Though anomalies mid match could probably be isolated via server timestamps, which would at least internally identify repeat offenders or targeted lag.
yep, the thing is they can fix most of the dsync issues to a certain ping level, if they went for 128+ tick servers, but it would be costly for them so they wont do it, they can also fix the dsync logic as well, but then again, this is an old game, im surprised they manage to keep it alive all this years.

Your comments about using a VPN don't reflect reality
In fact, consider that there is no local server for players from the Middle East and Africa, and for Russia/CIS, because of this, a LOT of people are forced to play through Frankfurt, which is why the ping is high
And regarding Russia, there is also filtering of incoming data packets through TSPU, which is why the ping is higher
Now take into account a player from Siberia, who goes through data packet filtering and is forced to play through Frankfurt, because there is no server closer, the ping there starts from 85 and above
u can change the ping with vpn cause it can connect to different places, also when u manipulate bad routing u will get more laggy hits, u clearly dont know how to use vpn if u defend it, ive seen it already, i used nord vpn in the past, depend on which region i connect myself to, the ping changes, and in games like dbd the killers get advantage on high pings which is absurd. the lower the ping player should always have the advantage. thats rule number 1 in pvp games.
-
dc penalty should be removed, why force people to stay in a public lobby makes no sense, if u want to take this game hardcore then make rank mode with penalties.
-
60% kill rate means nearly all games will be 3k for killer, this is ridiculous and unbalance way of thinking, 50% is the golden standard in all games and was like this for dbd in the past as well, the change to 60-40 is due to marketing, making killers strong = people buying them, especially through licenses, getting more killers = more money, its all business.
