  • at this point soloq feels like ur there to feed killer mains egos by giving them free wins.

  • MMR should be very strict at top MMR. those people who run 100+ winstreaks should be put against top comp ready players only. also blight needs to be 4.4 and he should lose 3 tokens when breaking pallets while his own cooldown(basekit) should be 2sec longer and his fatigue should be 1sec longer. the best way to make the strict mmr is simple, make strict(rankmode) mmr mode and casual mode, people who want to play like today could still do it, while people who want to play rank, should be aware of the fact that they aint gonna get high streaks anymore, make the rank mode ultra strict and fair.

  • this is the first game i personally seen where i cannot play what i wanna play, map offerings should be at least 50% at worse case scenario and should stack, and black ward shouldve been a purple addon, but it would be better to make new purple addon and make it into the same effect of black ward while making blackward into something else since people got thousands of those already since they are brown addon and easily farmable, maps overall are small, loops are small(not talking about the new trickster map), there is no reason to fear maps in dbd, 3gen spawns are even closer than before. people just coping about map offerings, instead of blaming their skillset they blame the maps, year i get it some killers have bad maps but thats not a good reason to shut down map offerings and turn them into 20% chance and non stackable, i stopped using maps because i had times where i spend 15 games with the map offerings until i even got my desired map which makes no sense.

I dont think normal cheaters cans see this, devs wrote here (some moderator but I dont remember which) that by abandoning you wont loose mmr but Idk we are just guessing here, only thing we know that there are some brackets and thats it.

ive seen it on twitch and utube before of how the cheaters even saw their ingame mmr level, some content creators even noted that before.

There was some thread some time ago where someone spot that when someone abandonded or they (Idk how it was) they had in stats of their play loss and someone here from moderators said something that its just in players stats wrong but that abandon has no effect on mmr, now its on everyone if they believe that or not but from what I know its super hard to drop mmr I would say impossible because you would gain it faster than loosing it so this thread is more like shot in the dark.

Truth is no one realy knows, maybe even these guys which made and sell cheats to the mass of plebs abusing them dont know the numbers of mmr.

the cheaters knows tho since the cheaters could see the visible mmr and if they abandon they can see if they gain or lose mmr.

  • so the average blights gets nearly 3k every game, how surprising. we aint even talking about the good ones. surprised this killer isnt gutted already. if they will release the real full stats i bet killers have over 70% killrate since the pallets got shrinked.

Ping already creates inconsistencies in hit registration. Letting FPS vary wildly would just add another layer of imbalance, so the 120 cap helps keep things fair.

nonsense, its like saying well overwatch should have 120fps cap cause u know disadvantage .

  • Endurance works very well actually, 15sec is totally fine, killers sit on hook and getting 1k for free is not fine. give survivors a chance buddy.

    That's not how it works
    Examples of 60% kill rate
    Example 1
Out of 10 games 8 games were draws an only 2 were 4ks
so even though the kill rate is 60% the win rate is only 20% in that example as 2 of the games were a win and 8 were draws
    Example 2
    Out of 10 games 4 games were 4ks, 4 were 1ks and 2 were 2ks (draw)
so even though the kill rate is 60% the win rate is only 40% with 4 of the games being a loss for the killer 2 a draw and only 4 being wins

60% kill rate you still can not win most of your games

"Your examples are mathematically possible, but statistically completely unrealistic. Millions of matches don't resolve in extreme, artificial vacuums of 'only 4Ks and 1Ks.' They follow a normal distribution bell curve. If the center of that bell curve rests at a 60%+ kill rate, it means the majority of the player base is getting 3Ks more often than 1Ks."

    2. The Official Developer Target is ~60%

Behaviour Interactive (the developers of DbD) have publicly stated on multiple occasions that their target goal for balance is around a 60% kill rate.

Why do they want it at 60% instead of a perfectly balanced 50%? Because it's an asymmetrical horror game. The developers want the Killer to feel like the power role. If the kill rate was exactly 50% (2 kills and 2 escapes every single game), Killers would feel weak and underpowered.

What you can say: "Even the developers (BHVR) target a 60% kill rate because they openly acknowledge the game needs to lean slightly in the Killer's favor for the 'horror' dynamic to work. If a Killer averages 60%+, they are playing exactly at or above the developer's intended threshold for the power role."

which means the game on average is killer sided, simple logic simple math, 60-40 is uneven.

  • consoles should be able to play on 120hz, and servers tickrate should be upgraded to 128tick or more, and allow players to play on higher fps on pc.

60% kill rate = bell curve of winrates centered on 50% for killer (what the winrate looks like for survivor is slightly more philosophical on if a 2k is a draw or a survivor win, but thats bhvr's balancing point - killer winning 50% of the time.)

    stats > feelings tho!

75% killrate is a win for the killer, so on average over 60% means broken strong, get ur facts checked, u dont need 100% killrate to win.

  • kindred should be basekit but the killer aura should not be seen. this can help new players know when to go for unhooks, and its not even cheating due to the fact that swf can callout their location anyway. this is soloq quality of life.

Yeah great way to fall two steps back into map favorism era where just mostly one side because of ability having 4 offerings but other picked some too where people will play mostly on the same realms like rpd, badham, erie of crows, garden of joy, game snd others well no thanks I glad this bs is over.

All that needs to be done is to just turn off that map selection where every week or two few maps have boosted chances to be picked compare to all other maps (they have basicaly double chance on like 6 maps) which sucks like one time it was just almost sll indoor maps so if you played killer who sucks on them yeah good luck and for survivors I believe there were manx indoors that time where bug with missing psllets on maps like larrys, hawkins or midwitch was a thing (some maps like midwitch are haunted by this nice bug even today).

I get new maps having for some time higher chances for being picked likenow the trickster map when ptb hits live it makes some sence but this mechanic that kills that random part msjority wants of having chance to get random map instead of getting just same 3-6 maps is realy bad.

why should i spend points on maps that are not even being used due to the fact that they are waste, rather put bloodpoints offering or something than such low precentage chance that can also be countered by sac ward Duh…, i get ur point tho, but its not what we have, we have lots of wasted stuff, also lots of killers and survivors can do neat builds on certain maps, but well not anymore, maps were good, both sides could bring maps, sac wards shouldve been purple and everything would be fine.

With 1 player vs 4 players, in order for a 50% balance, it maths out to either each survivor needs a 38.5% escape rate if you view the game where survivors are not a team (how BHVR claims it is), or each survivor needs a roughly 42% escape rate if survivors are treated as a team (to make room for ties). According to official stats, at experienced levels of play, solo, duo, and trios are in the low 40's%, and 4 man squads at at 48%. If you view the game how BHVR views it where survivors are individuals who aren't part of a team, every average survivor is overperforming at experienced levels of play. If you reject BHVRs stance of no teams and view survivoes as a team, then solo/duo/trio is balanced, but 4 man squads are still vastly overperforming. On the killer side, BHVR's goal is for killers to get 2.4 kills (60% kill rate) a match on average (which is just shy of on average winning half their matches). Unfortunately, BHVR refuses to release killer stats, but we do have Nightlight stats. While I dont like to rely on those stats, most of the killers stats on it are under a 50% kill rate which is well under the intended 60%. No matter how you look at it, at experienced levels of play, survivors are king and killers are vastly underforming which is why you only tend to see the best killers at high levels of play just so they can stay competitive.

For reference, I play both sides, but over the past few months, I've played far more survivor than killer.

night stats means nothing, not even 1% of the playerbase, the last shown stats killers were vastly superior to survivors, and now they shrinked pallet sizes so u can pick a guess how much worse it actually is, it is in fact mmr/rng issue in most cases, but the game is currently heavily killer sided for most people, for the top 0.01% of the player base is pretty even. means nothing tho.

We all have these same issues in both roles. The helpless feeling happens constantly in survivor too, when the killer gets so much momentum so fast that there's zero chance of recovery. I have people AFKing under hook and running up to me to die every time I play. I personally never feel that way as killer because I can still win in end game.

The MMR raising too quickly is a problem for everyone too. You go form getting the worst players you've ever seen to psychos, while feeling there's very little in between. It's a whole game issue, not just a killer issue.

    I recently experienced this stomp:

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/0Y8T3O1ZS7OJ/19cc1343d0158-screenshoturl.jpg

I got two hooks. The solo had gen perks but that's not what blew it for me, it was being matched with three perkless anons that were probably high performers on a win streak, with a new killer I'm still learning (but doing decent with) and also on Badham. Matchmaking, the map, and my own lack of ability lost me this match.

at least you know its lack of knowledge of the killer and such, most people would deny their fault for losing games. props to you.

  • well said buddy, good post, if u dont sweat as survivor in dbd u get 4kd.

  • this is why rank system with visible mmr and rewards should be a thing. also lobbies should be 5v5, 2 killers que up against a team of 4 on both sides, the ones with better score wins and get extra points or special points for special rewards.

  • they should revert map offerings so people can play the maps they want, or at least make it 80% chance to get the map, but make sac wards purple or remove them.

  • @RpTheHotrod said:

You're new to the game, so i understand where you're coming from. DBD can be daunting for new players because of two primsry reasons.

    1. They dont known how to effectively use the generous number of tactics and capabilities survivors have against the killer. The game does a terrible job at teaching these tactics to the players. You dont want to just or hide from the killer. There are so many options survivoes have that you can literally have bully squads who just tease the killer all game because of how powerless the majority of the killer roster actually is against Survivors who have enough experience to utilize that generous number of tactics and techniques.

    2. A new player will have a VERY limited number of perks available to them. Less options early on means it is much harder to actually have a good set up against various killers.

Due to this, early in your DBD career, killers will absolutely be crushing you. However, once you learn how to effectively loop, how to do saves, learn things such as check spots, and so on, the game drastically begins to sway in favor of survivors. Experienced and equipped survivors are the power role in experienced levels of dbd play (with the exception of a few killers such as blight/nurse which frankly are overperforming). The unfortunate truth to this is that very little killers are actually viable to play at experienced levels of play due to how much power survivors have over the killer. This means as you get more experienced, youll start to see the same 3 or 4 killers every match because all other killers are a joke to survivors.

That being said, keep learning, and you'll eventually see that shift and will see that facing against most killers will be a breeze. Some survivors have shown their personal stats for a month and have a 70%+ escape rate. The sky is the limit unless it's a nurse or blight.

with current maps game is killer sided even at top levels, people claim skill issue when survivor lose, well i claim skill issue when killer lose. same thing.

  • the fact that u get downvoted is wild, but ye, according to stats the game is killer sided, people that deny it basically deny stats and stats>feelings.

Bro really thought we would agree with him. This looks like a post a 200 hours player would make

nice ragebait, im over 12k, ex comp and soon getting back to comp since pubs force me to play bad maps and its really boring, maybe u will get to this level someday tho, that doesnt mean that the fact of the matter is that i get robbed 90% of the times due to dsync or deadzones, and also i can handle myself well even in terrible condition like i posted, me personally, but my teammates cannot get it? even people with 4k hours struggle in this game, there is mmr rng or something is off cause the rng i get is far worse than all of u combined. and its been like this for years, maybe there is a sub system that put certain players into bad mmr to balance games since my overall survivor escape rates are very high, we talking above 85% escape rates on average, but thats when i go with full 4men SWF close/at to my level, also if i care about escapes i could go even higher, i normally sacrifice myself for a full 4men out at times, but normally when i dont play with such top tier players» whenever i play with casual players its completely different experience, u get a medicore killer and he get such busted map and the teammates getting 2tap then the killer have either furtive chase build that can zoom and get people 2tapped, or some pain dms procs, nearly every game is the same, with top tier killers being selected, u can all downvote me, this means nothing, there is a problem in the game, its called bad rng for both sides, when i go killer i get bad rng as well, there should be middle ground for both sides, the corn maps are really awful for survivors btw, play ghoul/blight = freewin unless massive skillgap, i rather them fixing mmr and place me against the best killers, and give me the best teammates, than going against medicore killers with medicore teammates. simple as that, my killer games are so easy and boring that i dont even play as much killer lately, if i sit on killer 24-7 i can simply win nearly every single game on every killer, its that boring and i also blame mmr for it, simple fix, all i wanted is fair balance for both sides, not me being placed against people of lower skill level and me having to struggle because i have like 6 unsafe pallets on the map out of like 8 pallets, like what is this, balance the maps for both sides and then balance mmr so i dont win every game, simple fix. why do i need to struggle against people that are far below my skill level this what makes me annoyed. and it would be for the better. or simply make rank system that is truly balanced and will work.

    2222.jpg
  • nerfing survivors at this point is the biggest coping ever.

  • if u see a crow on the locker just fake it and then grab the survivor, if u get stunned u got outplayed, there is no reason to nerf a perk that is not commonly used anyway.

  • today my friend stream to me dbd on discord, no joke, out of like 20 games he had like at least 7 matches with blatant cheaters, in the begining they hide it then they went full force instaheals in his face and teleporting, ive never thought this would get this bad, but it will only get worse sadly this is what happen when games are being pushed into competitive without proper care of anticheat, the games would get filled by cheaters.

  • the perk is fine as it is, in some cases even busted if used on pop pain res dms blight players, it def should not get a buff.

  • every competitive game have hackers, u cannot fix this problem, just like anticheat improves, hacks also improves, the only hope gamers will have to verse cheaters will be to have finger prints in games. but that will be in the future.

  • @Shinkiro said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4062161#Comment_4062161

No we should be buffing the rest of the roster to suit modern DBD, not nerfing perfectly viable killers because their designs happened to allow them to be playable with the direction that game has been going in.

there is massive diff between playable and being broken, S tiers means broken tier.

  • dbd needs a ping system, SWF are not broken by any means, for SWF to be broken u will need all killers to be C tier which is not the case, A-S tier killers still more powerful than SWF, more like A tier are equally as powerful to SWF and S tiers are stronger, i would argue that Top A tiers are also slightly more powerful than SWF(we talking about 4men team). feel free to disagree, stats prove that SWFS are behind killers.

  • sadly its impossible to stop the hackers, hackers beat games like cod/csgo etc, the only lucky thing is that hackers are not smart, if they were smart and for example give everyone in the lobby infinite bloodpoints somehow after every game, they could get everyone banned and ruin the game, this happen in games like wuthering waves where u log online and if u encounter a hacker then he will transfer to u infinite money and force a ban on ur account.

  • the chances that they will be nerfed are severely low, if they do then all the blight/nurse mains are going to rant the game, they cannot accept losing games, ghoul also needs a nerf after they fixed the vault bug.

  • @Reinami said:

You can namedrop whoever you want, it doesn't automatically make them right.

just like it doesnt mate you right.

  • @Shinkiro said:

Hell no, i actually want to play actual, real DBD, not 2v8-slop. You can have it in custom games with no progression as you dont need progression anyway if you dont want to play DBD.

u could still play 1v4 even if 2v8 was normalized, whats ur point?

  • wesker techs are exploits, the fact that u needed to reduce fps to be able to do them is evidence, i aint playing wesker because of it, i dont plan to play a killer on low fps just to be good at him. at this point dbd needs rank system and higher tickrate servers to fix the dsync hits and middle ground map rng with gens spread correctly and not too far or too close.

  • @Reinami said:

Because comp players typically play comp, and if you have watched any of those you see exactly what a good, organized survivor team is capable of. Something you are unlikely to face in public queues. So, when he plays hundreds of hours of matches at comp level, and then goes to the "normal" queue, of course he is going to think that.

Zubat put all killers on S tier in pubs, lots of people dominating in pubs, u claim everyone is wrong and ur right correct? yea i played comp as well, and im getting back to comp pretty soon but it doesnt matter if its comp or not, i have casual friends that play both sides and say the same thing. yea they have some bad matches against good survivors, but they dont whine about it and ask for survivor nerfs, they realize is skill issue.

  • Knightlight and many other good killer players said that public killer is ultra easy, aside from myself im over 12k, killer is public overall is easy, the only problem we currently have is cheaters dsync map rng and mmr.

  • the problem i have in this game is that rubber banding recently and also sometimes u get a skillcheck and u lose frame which makes u miss a skillcheck.

  • this is why dbd need proper rank system with 1v1 rank mode and 1v4 rank mode.

(Edit- this way normal games will become casuals and people who sweat too much and play full meta in non rank mode would not be able to flex on anyone)

  • yep there should be validation hits base on pings, if the killer have over 80ping he should always lose to 20ping player in validation.

Onepumpwillie won 300 matches with Trapper in a win streak, if you can do a 300 win streak with trapper then this shows how bad survivors in pubs are. You cannot consider pub matches to say how strong a killer is. And no, not both sides are balanced in comp, the comp is balanced for the killer to have more advantage, that's why they don't use any of broken survivor's map and the map is almost always picked in favor of the killer.

double iri trapper is decent, and a good player can utilize well his powers, so basically even if u claim hes weak, if people can do 300streaks on him currently, u want to buff him so people can do 2000 winstreak on him? xd

  • Blight have to get back in line and get nerfed asap, hes more worthy of a nerf than nurse since u could somehow beat a nurse unless she is really good.

  • @Daniel_Silva04 said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4060687#Comment_4060687

SWF is still such powerful that in comp they need to nerf them very hard to be balanced. if you play on swf and still lose, it's skill issue from the players.

both sides are balanced in comp, also selective maps are used which are good for both in most cases, people do perkless streaks on killers, do they do it on survs tho? ive seen so many streamers and people doing streaks on perkless addonless killers and get plenty of wins, most players are not comp players either, comp players are 0.0001% of the player base, A-S tier killers are stronger than 4men teams, even in comp, its all about skills and map RNG etc, if the killer of A-S is good enough he should win most games vs 4SWF. also stats proves im right since even 4men are behind killers.

  • zombies are fast and 4 of them are way too much even new nemesis players can stomp much better players due to AI carry scenarios, of course u can beat him tho with really good team but for casual survivors is nightmare scenario.

  • so basically Ghoul is now back to the S tier category, this is really bad since his kit feels unfun to go against.

  • @Daniel_Silva04 said:

What about nerfing SWF? If you nerf S tiers without nerfing SWF, what killers can do against them?

A tier killers do really well vs SWF, even B tiers are fine, its all about the player who plays those killers/survivors. S tiers are just autopilot easy mode(require bit of knowledge of the killer and its power tho). even stats shown that in average 4men are losing to killers so whats ur point? u can only claim SWF sided game before 6.1 update, not anymore tho.

  • S tier means broken tier, and should not even exist, i dont understand why some killers are holding the S tier at 2026, and now with the ghoul buff(bugfix) he will get back to his comfortable S tier place as well, do u really think is healthy to have S tier killers? cause i dont.

  • leg1.png

like i said before, we need prestige skins like those for people who got to p100, but its fine if u dont want to do it, but when u say u had prestige rewards, we all grinded to p100 characters, which means we wasted our time since we didnt get the rewards we hoped for, btw u could make new achievements that require legit skill and time and then u could unlock special skins, it could be neat and something to work for.

  • well i waited for so long for prestige rewards just to get some icons which i dont really care about, i only care about quality skins so its an L for me personally, i could create the same prestige rewards in under 20sec using AI.

  • 2v8 should stay forever with all killers unlocked.

My goal is not to knock these killers down to not being used anymore, or lower than A tier. Blight could still be the best killer in the game and that wouldn't be a problem. The problem is his counter play is too low at this time, and he has negligible weaknesses in the hands of a good player. Same with Nurse.

buddy blight is my most played killer in my 12k hours and my opinion is legit, this killer wont be weak even after this nerf, he will be top A tier, in corn maps he will still be S tier even after this change, just making him 4.4 wont solve much.

  • they have shadow mmr rng or something, when i play killer i get immense amounts of pallets, and when i play survivor i get the worse tiles include bad loop spots and little amount of pallets, as if they try to make me to lose on purpose!, yet i still win because of skill diff since mmr is not working well, mmr needs rework asap, and also this RNG needs to be stopped asap, they need to have middle ground RNG for all players, if a player is bad he should not be rewarded by good rng, game should have good mmr system where bad verse bad, good verse good, then everything will be fine.
