the game feels like its basically been balanced by a low skilled killer main
- killer friendly pallets/loops, remove god pallets, remove filler pallets, shorten or break most of the loops in the game, make sure loops can't be chained together
- removed the only 2 good addons survivors had; there's literally no point in farming anything in the survivor bloodweb anymore
- completely dumpstered fog vial after its introduction; now it just clogs an already weakened bloodweb and chests
- completely abandoned any form of anti-slug update but actually nerfed tenacity while the update ongoing
- dragged their feet for over a year promising an anti-tunnel update but ended up doing the absolute bare minimum; also nerfed the anti-tunnel perk OTR while the update was ongoing
- continue to ignore the oppressiveness of blight, nurse and ghoul
- continue to ignore the horrible match-making that makes solo queue hell
well said, ur words are facts, ghoul can be countered by vaulting into him and spamming spacebar when he vaults,(good ghouls will just break the pallet or win the 50-50 since its easy nowdays) but u need to be a little bit further than the pallet/window and wait for his vault animation to start before u run into him, the nurse problem is her aura reading perks, all those aura reading makes nurse unstoppable, the blight is a different story, in the pallet density patch he was balanced, but now when there are so many unsafe pallets this killer is unstoppable force, really the most annoying killer to verse, totem build twins or billy are second behind, when i say totem build i mean like thril/ruin-bloodfavor/pentimento/ and whatever ur killers get advantage from, stacking iri addons on killers with those builds are very oppressive. killers currently stomp soloq, and if not for all the cheaters in this game, killers would have immense win rate.
-
ur either elite 4men or a comp ready team to win ur games nowdays as survivor, depend on which area ur from, some countries have it easier due to killers lack of skill, and some countries have it rough, overall the 50-50 pallets and the bad servers are whats ruining the game for me ngl. also dead zones and stuff like that, u not meant to survivor those games lol, the game makes sure u lose, unless ur a comp ready team ofc. then u win by genrushing and dying in corners.
-
DeadByDaylight-Win64-Shipping 2025-12-24 21-18-06_007.png
not to mention i get maps like this, where there is 1 unsafe pallet in the middle of a dead zone, so many pallets like those i encountered and it pissing me off so much like there is no motivation playing the game just seeing those pallets.
-
problem is very small tiles/small maps/ scourge into dms/grim combo, and honestly Dsync issues, getting those hits after u vault a pallet or a window and u should be safe feels so robbed, feels like the game makes sure u lose.
-
soloq is in terrible shape, im over 12k and i struggle in soloq due to map being so bad these days, not even randoms, yea randoms are bad and they do get 2tap, but damn those maps are insanely bad for survivors, even tho i manage to loop killers for a while, eventually either a bs hit or some bad tile +bloodlust etc allow me to get downed, even tho my skillgap is far superior to the killer i get downed, it makes no sense at all, the tiles needs to be reverted before pallet density since there is no way people gonna loop those 50-50, i even won against some blight 50-50 5 times in a row, guess how much time it bought me? 15sec or something, wow what a tile lol.

Yes, it's a dangerous idea, just like anti-slug and anti-camping, but even so, it underwent two tests to gauge player opinion while trying to adjust it, and I see no reason not to try the same with corrupt. And the basekit FOV shouldn't even be in this topic since it's a requirement that almost every first-person game has, and having to use perks to increase your FOV was ridiculous, with all due respect.
then give survivor better fov no? not talking about wall snatchers, im talking ab out 1440-1080 type fov.
-
killers already got shadowborn basekit, giving them corrupt as well is really dangerous idea, would be fine tho if u bring back pallet density to its max potent. but otherwise there is no reason to buff killers right now, u can buff trapper by making his trap slightly bigger and take slightly longer to disarm, then its fine buff for him.
-
dsync should never be based on the killer, a proper server should be selected for both sides, and dsync should be base on the lower ping not the opposite.
-
@MashedBroccoli said:
it should be two uses and the skill check should be removed. With it becoming a general perk it will be a strong anti tunnel perk.
while i agree, 4DS in top level 4men would be too strong for killers even if they dont tunnel, they will force bodyblocks with unbreakable. but if it happens then ds should be 40sec to reduce the time when the killer can wait it out. or if the chase taske longer than 40sec then killer can instahook.
-
lots of cheaters nowdays, not just in dbd, in all sort of games, eventually even dbd will be like official csgo.
-
the real question if its bannable to spam that build. people can do winstreaks runs with this bug lol
-
they need to make loops safer like it was before, the dead zones and small looping tiles are free downs for most killers, especially myers, but well i will be fine either way since i barely touch soloq.
-
with all honesty, im over 12k hours, playing both sides, in my opinion, after being hooked the first time DS should activate for 55sec, give it 5s Stun and its perfect, now listen, After Second Hook Stage DS should be 70Sec and 7s Stun, which will increase the Value of the Mori Offerings by default, forgot to mention that DS stays 1 Time Use, if u want to make it for 2 stages then Ds then it should be 40sec per stage with 4sec stun.
-
Game live long past its prime, new players wont be able to enjoy it due to the amount of sweats currently playing the game, yea if ur a 5000h or more player then u will consider 1000h players are casuals, but the coming waves of new players will get stomped by the 1000h players, the game take far too long to master, to require legit high skill level it takes over 3000h, and to archive mastery of the game it takes over 7000h which include playing custom matched with comp players, 3k hours comp players will stomp majority of players with 10k hours, depend how u want to play the game the choice is urs, at this point there is only 1 solution for dbd to survive for a long time ahead, the solution is this, separate sweaty games from casual games, how u do it tho? simple, make rank mode and casual mode, in the casual mode make maps bigger, longer games, and more side quest games where u get rewarded and exploring etc, meanwhile in rank mode keep it the way it is now, balance things out a bit fix the servers, and give proper ranks and rewards, and fix the anticheat, u can do it, if u do it then ur game will last for another 5 years or more.

The only conclusion you can logically draw is that they sell a ridiculous amount of skins on these killers. Blight in particular is so hilariously busted and the fact that he hasn't even gotten the pallet breaking nerf that Ghoul got is absurd to me. Just look at Momo reaching 1900+ wins TWICE now. It shows what he is a capable of in a game that supposedly has MMR. Were all 3800 of those survivor teams bad or is the killer just busted in the hands of a good enough player? (I was on one of those random teams that got crushed by him and I did not have a good time.)
i agree currently blight is overpowered, if they truly fix mmr tho and balance the game correctly nobody will do such winstreaks, even for the best teams getting more than 10 wins in a row would be miracle, which is totally fine. 9 out of 10 is 90%, its better than even pros get in league of legends already by far when they play their own main character. the winrate of a 2000streaker is 2000% WR, and even if he had lets say 200 winstreak, he will still be on the 200% winrate, should i do a 100 winstreak on blight record and post a vod calling out the bs power this killer have? cause i can, as former blight main myself, the only reason i stopped playing him is due to boredom, now playing billy, having more fun. even tho billy is broken as well currently with the unsafe tiles. but i didnt expect this change either.
-
maps are the problem, u have really terrible loops right now against those killers, i think map balance should be made around the killer, so if the killer is blight the map should have safer loops and better pallets with even some connections, such changes can help the game health, its like balancing the tier list without touching the killers.
-
no i dont have screenshot from Cowshed, but i do have from other maps which are just as horrible,
DeadByDaylight-Win64-Shipping 2025-12-04 14-18-10_693.pngthe image is just an example, this type of loops eveywhere,
DeadByDaylight-Win64-Shipping 2025-12-04 14-19-17_525.pngwhy those loops even exist, its not even loopable.
-
i think dbd should have pubs and rank modes, rank modes should have the same dbd like we have today with strict item pick map size spawn locations etc, and pub mode should be with gigantic maps to increase the horror atmosphere with better map design and more optional objectives to escape like it was in the friday the 13th etc with events and fun stuff, making the game both engaging for sweats and for people that want to have fun, DS wont have 2 stages since its going to buff the good players by a lot.

I wouldnt say that all depends on how survivor is good at looping and what killer is played, not every killer will murder you straight like ghoul or blight and current loops are kinda back as they were before all that pallet decity changes (both, the one tha gave more pallets to many strong maps and the last that reduced pallets and made loops super short) so its not guarantee to get downs in same time with m1 killer like legion or trapper when survivors know what they are doing and gens are progressing.
Pain res isnt just about downs, saves with pallet or flashlight hurt it to then hooks can spawn, (scorge hooks, I remembered that name) spure bad so you get just one use from in the match etc. so it all depends DBD is one hell of rng like mixing cards you can get bad ones or few jokers and be king so it depends on many factors but downs are mostly dependent on (by my humble opinion) both survivors and killers experience in looping and the type of killer who is played (ofcourse ghoul or dracula have way more chances and especialy tools to get that down than other not that strong killers like wraith or ghostface, bubba), even place where the chase takes part is to huge deal breaker like the main is mostly strong with shack or some solid part of map that is full of chained strong loops is way better for longer chase than some weak corner where killer can easily hold you and cut you off.
Last thing is DBD match making isnt always the nicest thing and you get like half the time two extremes like one is high tier killer with meta against average pub survs which are mostly soloq and other is mostly swf or wery experienced and coordinated team with full meta against some weaker tier killer who has chill build (both are slaughter in each way), Idk ybout you but Im getting these matches like half the time so i dont think these ovekills in match making are rare to others but it makes difference to in the end.
we all know most survivors aint it, lets be realistic here, u either 4men strong or at least 3men strong or nothing, i dont like to lose to people that are far beneath me in skill, yet if i dont go stacked with a good team, my team will be destroyed and it wont even be my fault, i will literally lose on behalf of others which is fine, but at least in other games u have the chance to carry a team, not in this game tho, the killer isnt forced to push A-B sites, the killer can just go for the least skilled ones and win, thats why i stay on strong teams as everyone should nowdays, a quick solution is ingame chat, or ping system, can help newer players to adapt quicker and get better quicker.
-
either dbd keeps living or shutting down is up the team, the game lasted for a long time anyway, either way people would be fine, they will either move to different games if the game shut down, or they will stay if it doesnt, no matter what happen everyone will be fine,(beside some streamers that only have dbd salt content).

The pain res is good on every killer that has no monility and his power isnt super easy for fast downs downs (even killers like pyramidhead or bubba can have fast downs but that isnt alwas the thing so its more good for them to run it compare to pop and other regression perks). I dont realy understand how a perk that is forcing killer to spread hooks even if its just first hooks isnt healty when tunneling (hardcore one) is problematic viewd both from communita nad devs. You mentioned and even admited its not tunneling friendly perk, which is both correct that perk is build around spreading 4 fresh hooks and hook rng so tunneling only works if its fast and survviors dont answer it with great gen preasure.
The meta you mean isnt that crazy because pain res with grim and dms need hooks so if killer has problem to get downs and then hooks then these perks wont save him magicaly like some people claim, dead lock doesnt work good with pain res due to few things either the pain res hits gen before dead lock but then when gen is blocked it can be regressed or its regressed right after block ends with pain res but nothing crazy because best use of pain res is hit the gen with most progressed with it and dms and or hit that gen when no one is repearing it meaning it will regress further and the value will be huge or regress that most progressed gen before survivors get it done and be there with good mobility.
This perk is good for its no need mobility for its aplication (meaning it hits the most progressed gen anywhere on the map) plus its synergy with dms, grim embrace perks. The biggest thing people forget that this per is just huge rng risk if your 4 hooks are in bad spot or area where you wont even get down the whole match then its dead perk slot and long chases kinda counter it to the worst it can be done with this perk is when it hits above 60% of progressed gen or almost done gen or its with dms and only one survivor knows about that gen and is chased away in soloq match (no info about the gen location for others to go there and finish it or save its progress), killer can missplay it when he hooks someone and only few gens have small progress than this perk waste its tokens.
Its strong perk I dont denny it but lets not show pikachu face and scream why is everyone running it (its kinda obvius why its woth running, it has not much competition in regression perks class), the issues like this perk is great for hardcore tunnelers or its 100% effective are out of place its just strong perk with lot of rng into it and no competition in its class from other perks plus huge synergy with rest meta perks.
u say the perks require downs, but fact of the matter is that only really terrible killer players dont get quick downs these days in the current patch.
-
doesn't matter, no game last forever, especially licensed killers, 9 years is very long time for a game to exist.

@colossusqw said:
I feel like you dont really need to restrict nurse from the perks themselves, just make it so she can't see auras while charging her power.
defending wallhack in any way or form is weird, both killers and survivors should not have aura reading perks in my opinion, literally built in cheats lol, where is the skill ? there is no skill when wallhacks is involved in any way. its all HAX, but if the minimum we can get is having nurse hax removed then it would be great as well as u said.

If pain res hits gen and survivor is on it (without dms) then I think killer gets only like 22 or 24 seconds of time on that gen, thats worst scenario no mobility killer who hits the furthest gen away from him with pain res because mostly before he makes it there that pain res regression is gone and undone so best way is to hit gen you heading for or have dms or hit gen that is left (pain res is rng it hits the gen with most progress), as perk its weaker than pop due to its limit by having just 4 regressions but what makes it stronger and more used than pop is two key things, first it has regression across the map because with pop or other kicking regression perks killer must go to that gen and kick it manualy which takes two things good mobility (like freddy, blight, dracula, dreadge, billy, etc.) or lot of time walking there as m1 killer or some 110 like slinger, huntress so thats why on majority of killers pain res is stronger, second thing is it has great synergy with other meta perks like dms, grim embrace which are super strong and rewarding gen blocking perks, other minor fact is weaker killers with no mobility doesnt get that many downs fast so pop isnt good because they lack mobility to use it after the hook but pain res just hits anywhere and has great synergy with gen blocking perks I mentioned before so its actualy better and more favored.
Idk what some people doesnt get about pain res is that this perk is realy bad for pure tunneling gameplay because you only have 4 shots, strong ones but only 4 and missing two can be very easily deciding the outcome of the game so this perk isnt great for tunneling killers just like grim or old barbecue and chilli with tokes or now the krasue token exposed perk these perks just are desinged for tunneling killers (they can be used by tunneling killer but the best from them killer gets the more fresh hooks he gets and thats something that doesnt allow hardcore tunneling because someone with pain res and dms who is just trying delete one survivor on 5 gens can get super burned by this if he isnt fast enough and other survivors do gens because his perk will help him less than perks like dead lock and ruin or currupt, noway out, noed tec.). Other bad thing on pain res is that it hits the gen with most progress and when that gen has few % than its just wasted, so pain res isnt god tier perk that rewards every killer not to mention its highly hook rng because your white hooks (forget their names) can spawn in super bad locations where you never down survivor near thus making pain res kinda worthless in that game unlike pop that is guarantee after every hook but requires more mobility and lethality in chse from the killer (meaning great treveling to gens across the map plus having tools for fast chases so logicaly ghoul will be far better user than dreadge who has stronger mobility but his antiloop is way weaker which can hinder his pop usages comapre to pain res but it all depends kinda on the killer and rng).
u assume everyone playing the same and the low tier killers which is false, the perk itself is not really healthy for this current meta, while i agree that tunneling with this perk isnt very smart move which can cost u the game(unless u run deadlock with it to stall the game and have enough room to pop the pain res once the gen unblocks), but overall perk is busted with dms/grim build, defending this perk is funny, yea good stacked 4men can handle it, but majority of players cant, and then u have bad killer players abusing this type of meta and gets undeserved wins against people much better than they are.
-
Ping system would be the best thing for soloq.
-
the real problem with pain res is that if it hits a gen is not always 20%, it can go from 20% al the way to 99%, i will give u a scenario, 1 guy is on the hook, 1 guy is going to save, 1 guy is doing a gen, and 1 guy getting chased, the person that went for a gen already left a gen of lets say 50%, now he sees that the killer is proxy camping, so there is going to either be a trade of hooks or the other guy from the gen will have to come and help, in this scenario i will say the killer also have dead lock, so by the time he trade the hook u have 2 gens with high progress and his own gen which was on 50%, now 1 gen getting completed before the person got unhook, and the other gen is getting blocked, and now the third gen get hit with pain res, that gen which was 50% is going down real fast, not just 20%, it can go all the way to 0, now repeat this 4 times, and u can add dms and grim to this build and u can see a game where its absolutely stalling game and boring to play, making it ultra easy to proc, it could be either u get early pain res and gens are blocked then the killer loop around those gens so they regress even more, and some killers will also bring surge to add more salt to the flavor, now obviously if the killers tunnel with pain res it can backfire hard, a really strong 4men team can deal with it, is not easy tho, but the fact is that very bad killer players can abuse this builds and stomp soloq/ even good players is pretty bad. if gens werent keeping to regress after being hit by pain res then the perk would be fine.

just played a match against a blight who was on me 6 seconds from the match starting, the day before l went up against a blight who was only using the speed add-ons and was only tunnelling, dead at five gens. Id rather play against ghoul and Krause 100 times more than blight

they cut down pallets! killers aren't running around tiles anymore. that's a straight-up buff, and you're calling it suffer the most? you're just contradicting yourself.
i think u did not understand my comment, i said once they revert the changes, now currently, currently killer is ez mode in most cases, i said if the tiles gets back to normal, those killers which are used to play around unsafe pallets all the time will feel a lot of pain since they wont be used to normal looping xd.

You were hindered while the Clown was under haste and already well within lunge range. What did you think would happen?
are u trolling? it didnt meant this specific scene, it means overall the bs hits u get in this game which legit exist.
-
the pallet density update was really good move from bhvr, all they needed to do from there is to buff the weakest killers and the game would be fine, the revert was unnecessary, but the change of the pallet structure and making them shorter was a mistake which can be corrected, hopefully.
-
over 12k former blight main here, i can tell u with no bs, if it was the previous update i wouldnt call blight for a big nerf, maybe remove tokens when he break pallets or hit a survivor, but now that the maps are really unsafe for survivors, he should def get a nerf if this update plans to stay for a long road. blight breaks the game.
-
in fact this is the worst update for killers because now they wont have to learn how to play around tiles, once dbd revert this, they will suffer the most lol, i doub this would stay, the game wont survive for long if the game become completely unplayable.

This is how good killers play against and with the new fillers at the moment:
This is a video of Competitive 1v1 with the new short pallet filler updateSkillDiff nothing else to see here, the killers on this vod made loads of mistakes, they dont have pain res pop etc to delay games, this is 1v1, ur forced to chase where the survivor go, u cannot compare this to 1v4, also if he verses players on his skill level it will be shown, the new fillers are terrible, i played killer recently and it was easy, the fact that ur strat is to predrop all those filled without even looping them, if u saw the vod which u send pause at 21:57, Rocket said there is no way as a killer that he would be runned at those tiles like that, which counters the point of ur vod, u basically lose ur argument by sending this vod lol.

Seeing your previous posts, at least you can show some evidence that you actually play the killer side (even though the player stats are bogus). I can respect a difference with players who have experience on both sides. It’s the ones who don’t that I have an issue with.
over 12k hours here, playing both sides at the highet level ex comp, and i can tell u with all honesty that killer is easy mode currently after the last patch, and is not because of my investment, i was doing well even with the pallet density as a killer, even tho it was really unfair for some of the killers, u still had a lot of strong killers to choose from, all they needed to do is get some of the weaker killers a slight buff and the game would be fine. it was fun versing blights on the new pallet density maps, but now its like a nightmare, u see ur teammates getting 2 taps everywhere, of course i can manage my chases because im far better than those killers, but if the killer was on the same level as me then it would be not really fair game, in fact even a bad killer can get advantages now since its not just the filler that is the problem, its the servers as well, u get hit by bad dsyncs, i normally play on 70 ping not 20, and even if i had 20, the game still on the killer side when it comes to dsync, the higher the killer ping the more problematic the game feels, no bias here buddy, the only way to balance the game is to make it winnable at all skill levels, making new survivors into punching bags, or soloq into punching bag is not the answer. a ping system should be mad to help soloq players to communicate with their teammates, game could easily be balanced. the question is, does killer mains ego can handle losing often? cause a balanced game means the win rates wont be too high anymore.
-
Fix to blight is simple, now that maps were made terrible for survivors its even harder to fight blight so i will share my perspective as former blight main, i used to play him often and im over 12k, i quit playing blight due to the fact that the game became way too easy when using him, it was pointless playing him, so i have a solution to make him better for the current patch first fix servers dsync which will not just help against blight but against all killers, and remove his shoulder hit after u spin him, its very important since a higher pinger will always hit u even when u dodge them, and its ridiculous the higher the ping the more ridiculous, thats not all tho, he also needs to lose all of his tokens whenever a survivor get injured by him, and whenever he break a pallet he should have his tokens removed, this will make the killer far more balanced. now make him 4.4 on regular speed, which means his rushes will be slightly slower as well, do all of which i said here and the blight will be solid A tier killer.
-
@XDgamer018 said:
im gonna say a hot take that kaneki is fine now hes a solid A tier wich is where he should be as you cannot change him without making him awful to play as.
But the fact that we still have killers that are an instant loss bc you simply queued up as them is just… unacceptable in my opinionIn the previous patch he was A tier, now hes back to high S, big diff, i will edit this tho, A = 4men, S tiers are above 4men, on the current terrible tiles u can easily get downs on kaneki, then u can spam scourge/deadman/surge/ etc… ez game every game .
-
the problem isn't just how bad the tiles are(which they are, no bs), but also the server connection hit registry, as a survivor u get so many undeserved hits, especially when its a blight, u dodge him he still hit u with his shoulder, there are so many bugs that were not fixed for years. and they added another layer of them on it, if u want us to have such terrible tiles, fix the servers and change how the dsync and hitboxes work since its obviously not working well, killer should never have priority on hits, it should be ping and server which decide it, and servers should have high quality net.

Pre-drop the pallet and learn to loop. Or pre-drop the pallet and when they break it, run to another loop. That what you're suppose to do. Get gud.
u know why u got downvoted by 99% of the people? cause ur in the wrong buddy, u can predrop and connect tiles, u think every killer will allow u tho? i dont know what kind of low mmr killers u get, but the killers i get are often blight/ghouls and even if u predrop u can easily get bloodlusted even if u connected 2 loops by average m1 killer, if the killer is half decent ur done for.
-
thats because people are fed up with soloq and decided to get better and play better on teams, and also maybe ur mmr is a bit too high on killer so u get those teams, eventually bhvr will find a solution to all of this, the game seems to be more balanced than ever before currently. but if bhvr will remove the pallet density then game wont be balanced since killers like blight will be used often anyway.

if coldwind were to get more pallets bhvr would have to do something to the corn as its way to difficult to track survivors through it and overal its more of an annoyance then a benefit…
there are too many aura perks, either u remove them then corn will feel like corn, or u add pallets lol, also killers play on high volume and people with good shaders will find u anyway.
-
well if there is a map that needs more pallets adjustment is cornfield for sure, their pallets are really unsafe and most of the time u get a ghoul or something then u have to accept getting downed without any skill involved.
