1: that I know, no you can't
2: yes, but you will not get the audios and lore stuff from archive 1, which is the most cool things from archives, IMO

man, you have to chill (and stop camping, this is no being good)

be more stealthy if you have no exhaustion perks. it helps.

At this point, I think this is an English problem than math. I think we are talking about completely different things at this point. You are thinking that I'm comparing clown to other killers (some how), when I'm talking about the average kill rate the devs aim for, for every killer. So I'm saying clown is likely to get more than 2 kills and escape each game, not that he is better than the other killers.
I feel like we are having some sort of set 8 argument right now. Also, I dont want to get insulted by an Claudette main out of all suriviors.
Not claudette's fault that megs can't understand the difference between average and minimum.
-
I hope you guys have a good night
-
@Zoldyar imagine 3 students and their grades
a = 7, b = 8, c = 9. the AVERAGE is (7+8+9)/3 = 8
a got 7, is he above 6 and will be approved? yes, he will. But NO, he isn't above AVERAGE and YES, he needs to improve. It's math, you can complain to the universe if you wish, but you will still be wrong.
meg main, big brain as always

Killers should be feared, not balanced. I think 75% kill rate is the minimum! Anything below that should be buffed

Yes, please! ######### an asian blondy? Is she some k-pop sh*t? I don't think so, she is a tough motorcycler. They should made her black haired, her P3 would look dope!

His kill rate is above average, so what's the point buffing him?
average is summing up all killers' kill rate and divide for the number of killers. no way the lowest kill rate to be above average. just to clarify how math works...

I love it when I sneak up on a survivor go for a grab and just freeze with my arm out a second or two before the survivor notices me, then runs away and the grab counts as a miss?
And I used to complain when this bug counted as a simple m1 hit. Silly me....
-
Does pallet, window and locker grabs count for this challenge? It would make it so much easier...
If not, this challenge is pay to win. It's pretty easy getting gen grabs with GF, but it's hard as s with other killers. I sometimes get some grabs with pig, but only playing against really careless survivors, since her blade makes an unmistakable sound. Demodog also already get some, but not easy at all...
Wraith is the only stealth killer who almost can't gen grab.

I know this, but these stats are often used as the reasons for why they make decisions in regard to the game. They stated Spirit was over performing. And she is getting nerfed because of it. But why aren't killer getting buffs based on under performing then? Why was nurse nerfed, and especially so hard. People thought her add ons where the problem, so they changed those, and made her base power far far worse.
Because there is no underperforming! The worst kill ratio is 60% on a freaking clown! Do you think this is bad? You should see me playing killer...

exactly, this one where she isn't the weakest.

65% of survivors can't run in a straight line according to your logic.
I wonder if survivors really can't run in a straight line or you're just a bad nurse who used to rely on 4 chain blinks...

Probably because it's not quite as broken if you don't bring Balanced Landing. I've played on it as a survivor before; it tends to be easier than other maps, but you can't loop the killer forever if you don't have BL.
Thank you guys! This is exactly my point! Why bottering nerfing the perk if it doesn't have this much impact and not everybody uses it?
-
Man, have you guys ever got math classes? Spirit being the most chosen doesn't inflate her kill rate. Please, its percentage!

So the MoSt BrOkEn OmG BaLAnCeD LanDInG map isn't exactly the most survivor sided? Interesting...

The amount of times I've had to use NOED as Spirit is pretty slim. I really only do it to make people angry when they see my build.
Also, it means you lost to a three perk Spirit, which is hilarious.
What is hilarious about that? It's not like she is Wraith. I'm pretty confident I could win most of my Spirit games with only whispers and I'm a bad killer.

Freddy-
Freddy has no counter-play for any of his powers. You cannot interact with any of his powers in order to give Survivors a way to counter his abilities. When Freddy uses his dream snares he has no cool down or slowdown when putting them down. This almost always guarantees a free hit or down when trying to loop him. Also if you choose o disable the snares he gets a notification and can put them down again immediately. Then with his Dream Pallets, survivors can put them down, although similar to his snares he can put them back up almost immediately. While as a survivor you can remember where real pallets are, this is a unrealistic expectation for an entire team to do. Ways to provide counter play for survivors would be to give a cool down on his abilities for 20 seconds for each use. Also for his teleport make to so he has to commit to teleporting it and can't cancel it, giving survivors more options for counter-play. Another option for counter-play would be taking out the timer for the dream state and make Freddy have to manually put survivors into it. This would give survivors ways to counter his Swing Chains add-ons. Also a small quality of life change would be when survivors are put into the dream state and miss skill checks to wake themselves up, Freddy doesn't gain a notification, this would give survivor play styles more options for counter-play while still punishing them for failing.
Ghostface-
Ghostface and his Night Shroud ability is one of the best stealth abilities in the game, with no down sides. He has power creeped almost every other stealth killer in the game. He also has no down side when being broken out of his ability. Also with the broken reveal mechanic with his power when he leans around a corner makes him uncounterable. Ways to give survivors a counter to his power would be to make the reveal mechanic actually work when a survivor looks at him. Also since he has no warning before he strikes unlike Wraith they should either give Ghostface a warning sound or something before he attacks or give him 110% movement speed. Also another quality of life change would to give his addons that give his power a faster recharge rate a slight nerf.
"He also has no down side when being broken out of his ability" He doesn't? His power has a cooldown once he gets revealed! The only problem with GF is the broken reveal mechanic. And yes, he is the best stealth killer, but this isn't a problem with him, it's a problem with the others that suck.

Eh, I run Ruin and NOED on Spirit sometimes, it's fun.
you are probably the worst spirit out there if you need noed
-
The best way of applying pressure is downing someone while you have at least 1 person on hook or slugged. You have two options: Infectious Fright if you're going for the slug (but you have to be able to down people fast, which I can't LOL) or Thrilling Tremors which allows you to stop somebody that was doing something useful (repairing a gen). This is why BBQ isn't that useful, you don't wanna chase a useless person running/cleansing dull totems on the other side of the map, you wanna chase the guy on the gen (and barely smart survivors will hide behind gens auras making it harder for you to see them with BBQ). Hope my 2 cents help!
-
noed can only hurt a lobby with at least one solo survivors. if you are facing a 4 man swf, they don't need to spend time cleansing totems, they only need to memorize all the totems they see and then come back to see if they light up once noed is confirmed. this is specially useful because if you cleanse all the 4 dull totems you see during the match but you have no idea where the 5th is, you screwed hard because noed will 100% not be found because it's well hidden! If you didn't do those totems, it has 80% chance to light up in a known location totem.
-
@Rex_Huin said:
If survivors always cleanse all 5 totems then you get the same benefit without even running NOED (they don't know if you have it...)
The only tangible benefit is the insta downing and it is powerful and potentially match changing but it is not a slowdown perk.
don't forget the speed boost, also big benefit for killers who can't chase properly.
-
yes, sir
-
I always play the same because I have no idea who is friends with. I do my own #########, I try to evade the killer as much as possible, I try not to bring the killer to others, I try to save people hooked close to me but don't bother saving far away people, except if I know where the other 2 are and none of them went for the rescue or are injured.
-
Man, start thinking prior posting. This post is so cringe!
First of all, the game has no bias, devs really do want to both killers and survivors keep playing, having fun and spending their money on the game.
Second, yes tunelling people out of the hook is toxic. Downing a survivor who got hooked recently (less than 60 seconds) and did something stupid isn't toxic but DS will punish you either way and this is a problem still not solved.
Third, looping and doing gens isn't toxic because doing gens is the first objective of the game and not being hooked is the second. If you think looping is toxic, it's probably because you've been outplayed. I know how it feels, it happens to me a lot. Keep practicing.
Fourth, NOED isn't cheating but it's a perk that rewards bad players. If you feel you need it, use it, but understand people complaining.
Last but not least, it's difficult because there is no easy mode, you are going against people better than you, nobody should be on red ranks if can't outplay the other side on lower levels. It's easier to rank up as survivors because if it was harder, red rank killers would be all alone playing against nobody.

welcome to the club. it will.

No it doesn't. Because staying injured and rushing the gens still comes at a price. You are always a one shot. I don't see the problem in rewarding someone for success. It has a 5 gen requirement, and half of the times Adrenaline doesn't even do anything, I personally dropped it because I never got use out of it. Not to mention, you're virtually running 3 perks for the large majority of the match. There's nothing wrong with it.
@Sign_Spinner said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/863978#Comment_863978
any punishment? what about the punishment of being one shot?
usually a killer can only chase/shot 1 person a time. 3 injuried survs rushing gens only need to be more cautious, but no need to really worry that much, specially if they didn't 3 gened themselves.
also: half of the time it doesn't do anything? only for people who run adrenaline + selfcare and everytime get a hit go selfcare on map corner. I used to run adrenaline + resilience. I dropped both because they are bs, they make killers miserable. you rush gens like crazy and get healed when 5 gens are ready. imagine 4 man doing the same.
-
@deadbyhitbox said:

Adrenaline rewards survivors for completing their objective. NOED typically rewards killers for failure.
the reward for completing the objective should be being able to open the gate and escape, not skipping the heal. the perk encourages survivors not to heal and rush gens as fast as possible without fearing any punishment for this behaviour. also, being completely healed after being unhooked is the most absurd thing about this perk, IMO.
solo survivor main, btw.
-
I'm brazilian and I'm already in doubt if I'm still a human because argentinians call me an ape all the freaking match I'm playing killer. It doesn't matter if I 4ked them or I got humiliated for 3 minutes (the time necessary to repair 5 gens).
-
Once I was healing somebody that I just unhooked, the killer came for the tunnel, I was like 2% of completing the heal and first skill check came to regress the f out of the heal. One could see true horror in my face. The poor dude got hooked again. Never used that crap again.
-
Adrenaline and NOED are different faces of the same coin IMO. They should both be erased from game files and nobody should never talk about them anymore.

Maybe for pc survivor vs pc killer or console survivor vs console killer, but pc survivor vs console killer makes getting hits impossible. 360's are a lot harder to hit with a controller.
You don't need to hit a 360ing surv, just wait him get tired of spinning all by himself, it usually helps.

You know 360s aren't really useful, right?

I think here in Brazil servers aren't working too. Spent almost 20 min looking for killer match and gave up. Now I've been waiting for 15 min for a survivor match...
EDIT: It's 11 AM here
-
Plague is one of the top killers on kill ratio on red ranks, you know?
-
this is a synchronization problem. the difference between grabbing someone or not is microseconds! it's you pressing one button and the person unpressing another. grabs were easier on p2p because when the killer started grabbing this information would be faster since the procesment of this information were on the killer's side. now both information have to meet on the server where the grab will be decided. aparently, the grab animation starts locally and is cancelled once the server decides the survivor's information of unpressing arrived earlier.
-
I'm afraid when they say they want to bring solo as close to swf as possible and than balance around it. Will it make killers stronger? I can't loop even the killers we have right now LOL
-
this is not an option, i don't wanna talk to anybody else, just wanna play my game and have fun by myself. if i wanted to talk to anybody, i would go out and make friends. ty
