I played against one of the top ranked Ghostface's in the world several times. The guy plays around spinechill, he moonwalks right up to you and 360 grabs you like he has bloody echo location.
I ALWAYS use spienchill, it's strong and it's amazingly useful, but yeah I dunno if I would give up sound for it.
Oh I know if I listen to music I make sure its set almost near mute when I play.

I got grabbed off a gen despite spine chill from a non stealth killer the other day haha.
They went around and I was on a gen the only thing behind me was that brick corner wall so I never thought in a million years a killer would come from there, I assumed he was behind stuff in front of me or something- but nope he was hugging the wall super tight and just came from the corner lol.
That's what I mean. Spine Chill is good to get a general grasp on where the Killer is do to the radius but you also need to be aware of how long the perk stays lit.
-
Honestly I think we could do away with it. Most of the time the Killer/Survivors end up back where they started were they started by the end of the day.
-

Yes, it is too strong and removes all the horror in this game.
I don't think that's the case. Just because you know the Killer is looking at you doesn't mean you know where that Killer is.

That the thing if i was going for someone else they knew it so they use sprint burst to go to the main building and they were rdy to loop the hell out of me so i did not go there.
The perk i use are the best in my opinion for freddy thrilling tremors, pgtw, brutal strengh and the last one is a flex perk but most of the time its surge
What I mean is that the survivor running to the house is the decoy meant to get your attention away from his team. A simple conclusion is that if he is trying hard to get your attention he isn't doing generators which means his team is. Chase them chances are you down one of them use Thrilling Tremors to block the gens until you hook and move back to hit it with PGTW and then move on to the others. Sooner or later that SB survivor is going to have to leave the house and that's when you get him. If your playing (Pallet Freddy) you have no real house challenge potential but if your using (Puddle Freddy) the the best place to put them would be in the center of the house around the table and on the ledge above.
If all survivors run it chances are when you move away from the house and find someone else who runs to the house the other survivor will have to move away from the house not to mess up the loop. I know it sounds complex but understand that Sprint Burst is an exhaustion based perk. That means that once its used it needs to be charged again and two people running the same loop will eventually push one off the loop or sandbag their friend.
-
You need Spine Chill to be able to listen to music? I do it on the regular mostly when I'm bored.
-
Honestly I feel like there both not that big of a deal but if were bringing this up. Make all Mori's hook state based last hook Killer can Mori its simple. Key's just give them a hatch opening animation about the same time as searching a chest. Make pink key's halve the time but reveal their aura to the Killer when in a certain distance to the hatch. Well that's my idea any way.
-
I usually camp at the end of the game when the gens are done as there is nothing else to do.
-
If survivors run Decisive Strike and Dead Hard, run Ruin and Undying. Simple as that my friend.

New Ruin is so much more powerful compared to old Ruin imo so I would hate to see that. DS change I like because flavor text
in what sense? Yes it is more powerful in the aspect that it auto regresses gens (When No One Touch's Them) I will give you that but the old Ruin was great in a way that it punishes survivors that are actually doing their objective sloppily. Be honest when it comes down to the last three gens the old Ruin was 10X better than what we have now.
I considered the old Ruin to be the best teacher the game ever had. Now you can just sit on a gen and just hit checks in the past you had to be attentive and precise if you wanted that generator. Now the game just feels dumbed down.

Freddy so i hace 2 choice when im in this map
1 for the house put 5 or 6 blood pool on the ground and get there when they are asleep and play the game normally.
2 ignore the house completly and start a 3 gen scenario exept freddy is not the best killer to use a 3 gen strat.
Finally the best solution was to close the game because those option are not that appealling so if i want to have fun i need to close my ps4 open my ps5 and play demon souls or assassin creed
All Killers can have a 3 gen potential. As Freddy the best thing to do would have been to set up as normal and anytime the sprint burst got in your way just making them waste it running back to the house. Chances are that player would have waited around the house for it to come back and rinse and repeated. I honestly would have moved toward his teammates chances are he was the most experienced looper so going for him would have costed you. What perks where you running?

Nothing to do with being survivor sided at all!
It's locked in because when you search for a match that's when the matchmaking happens, so if you queue with your strongest killer for example and then decide to change to another killer whilst in the lobby you are going to struggle...that would also be abused the other way around - you'd queue on your weaker killer and be matched with survivors of that skill level, then switch up to one of your stronger killers in the lobby.
The difference for survivors that there's no difference between characters in the same way there is for killers.
I get it but what's to stop Survivors from switching to their highest MMR characters. I have had loads of games where someone would switch to a character with either a flashlight or a key last second. My game last night had all four survivors do it at the last second each one brought in a key. If Killers are to be held to that standard than so should Survivors.

I dunno if it's the same thought but I just had the mental image of five towers in the sky with no ground visible, like it's just skybox -- but linking the towers are large, wind swept bridges that make you feel like you're going to fall off into the skybox. Maybe make the ground quake and become more unstable the more generators are done.
That might be cool.
I get what your saying something akin to pathway's changing as the map progresses. After a gen gets done some pathway's get removed while new ones take their place. If a survivor falls off the map they get randomly dropped somewhere on the map same with the Killer. I think the problem with the idea is that Killers like the Trapper would rule that map idea and while its not bad I think counter play is mum here.

I don't want to either... but (Bad Word) it
God just think about it they might just change where the jiggle physics of his belly go. Oh my god just think of getting run by the female version of Freddy not that is a nightmare.

Lore wise it would be easy to make a genderbent (if <that's how it's spelt)
A male Huntress (Hunter)- A bassy Lullaby (I want to hear it)
A female Clown- hmm... sure why not
A male Spirit- Lore would still be sad
Imagine Lori and Micky switch- That would be cool (I think anyway)
Female Oni- Great (x6) Grandma coming at you cause you didn't eat your veggies (LOL... had to)
Honestly I can write out the lore for it... I think it would be fun.... @coppersly
Jesus I don't think I ever want to see the female version of clown I think I would D/C if I even almost seen that.
-
I don't feel like it is but at the same time it gives Killers a safe feeling. If they see that the game is falling out of their grasp they can just kill off a survivor and feel like their in control again. I feel like Ebony's should be more rare than they are maybe even more so than Cakes and Bloody Party Streamers. I think I collected 20 of them when I was trying to get Midwich map offerings which I only got 2 out of nearly 2 million bloodpoints.

Would Michael be stalking the survivors or would the survivors stalk Michael?
Can I be honest with you. . . . I might just be stalking Michael.
-
I think that their trying. its a hard cat and mouse game that all developers have to tip toe. Making the game fun for Killers will ultimately make it unfun for survivors and vise versa. At the end of the day though the only people who can make this game fun is those that make it. I played a few games today where I just tried to make myself laugh. I leaned out of cover as Ghostface and crouch spammed at survivors and they played along. I ended up playing Tower defense on Asylum anytime a survivor came inside I would down them and toss them out they spent nearly an hour trying to just hide inside. It honestly was most fun I've had in Red Ranks for a while.
I think that the community is so wrapped up in their idea of winning that they lost track of what Video Games are meant for enjoyment and its starting to effect the Dev's getting them so wrapped up in the Idea that they have to make these changes or their going to lose something they built.
-
Eh take it with a grain of salt. The best thing to do is let them have the house sooner or later their going to have to move out to get the generators. What Killer where you playing?
-
I think if I ever saw Michael Myers with some Tata's coming at me I might just take that L ya know.

I had a Steve that did that to me once, I had him pinned between a barrier and an open door. I matched his every move and when the EGC ended he was taken game over.
you can do that but most of the time at least for me is that survivors would more than likely come to help their own by body blocking me until they get to the opposite door.

We were all crouching. I didnt see what add ons she had but I crouched over the trap and unhooked and then she teleported as soon as I unhooked. I dont get it tho. How do I counter that? Hope I find a flashlight in a chest? Hope that she tunnels my teammate getting off the hook so she can get ds? I can't run away after performing the unhook. Am I hoping she just misses the swing after teleporting??
it was most likely Mint Rag or Rusty Shackles. In honesty the only way to counter this is to play the mix up grab the survivor off the hook and run while she is distracted with two targets get to the next pallet or loop quickly. Other than that I'm sorry their is no counter play.
-
I get it but its a perk core and a killers ability your can't change one or the other. Its a combo that won't be changed or maybe you could just crouch to the hook and unhook him the only thing you would have to worry about at that point is Rusty Shackles and your teammate screwing you over.
-
I believe that EGC needs to start at the last gen to remove the 99% door teabag. it will also push Killers away from camping hooks why go for the one on the hook when you could possibly get the 4K. It would also light a fire under the survivors that like to "Bully" the Killer by running loops and when they get hit its back to the safety of the door.,
-
I would personally bring in Foxy sense he is the only one in the game to sprint. Maybe a perk called Bucket Of Bolts where he could trap gens that could blind them similar to a flashlight or firecracker for a few seconds. it could be useful for those survivors that loop around tapping the gen you kick while they loop. Maybe his power could be some form of tackle that grabs survivors and rushes with them if they hit a wall or something they get damaged by 1 health state. or if your lucky and ram them into a hook they get insta-hooked.

"Anytime you stun the Killer with a pallet and the Killer breaks the pallet you can collect a broken piece of the pallet to stun the Killer that piece persists for 40/50/60 seconds.
I feel lime this would give this perk a bit of skill to use"
People would literally let the killer hit them while camping a pallet to get the free stun and "collect the ds" immediately after the pallet break animation never allowing the killer to pick them up. Killers would get DS'd all game by every survivor for no reason.
If your that afraid don't break the pallet. Force them off the loop or bait the pallet slam. if they mess up the pallets down and you can break it without giving DS its power. If a survivor does get you with a pallet then leave them on the floor for 60 seconds it makes other survivors get off gen's to come and pick them up then the pallet and the perk isn't in use. The perk still needs counter play from both sides if the Killer notices that the pallet pieces are still in the match after the break and the survivor is down right on top of the pallet they know that the perk is up and can be used other than just taking a gamble like it is now.
I would still say give them a searching animation to do it instead of just running over the broken pallet maybe the old chest animation would work.
-
I believe the only change to Decisive Strike that I would deem fair would be if the Survivor collects a piece of a Pallet broken by Killer. I would keep the original pallet burning away animation only if D.S is not in play.
It gives the Killer knowledge that the Perk is actually in the game when the Pallet pieces stay in map. So there is counter play on the Killers part. And it makes it more Skill based on the Survivor side other than just ******* off the Killer enough to tunnel them.
-
I think I would change Decisive Strike to only be active if you stun a Killer and collect a shard of the broken pallet by running over it.
For Killer I would revert Hex:Ruin back to its original form.
-
I don't like the idea. But I'm biased I wholeheartedly believe that DBD should never have added swf. It totally strips a core aspect of the game out the horror aspect.

My favorite theory in this thread.
Oh no I know its true. Most games I end up dead because I run the Killer. My two games today I had killers attention for almost 4 minutes and three gens where just gone. The Killer left me and downed two of them on my first game in little under a minute. They couldn't run an L wall for ****.
-
Ruin's rework really made me start questioning the devs. They listed off everything except the life expectancy of the Totems its self how long it lasts in a match. That and it made me realize the weren't just lowering the skill ceiling for survivors they were destroying it. Ruin helped players grow above it instead of settling for the 1% shoot for the 5%.
-
Feng Min as my survivor just because Alert helped me out like a lot in the beginning. My favorite Killer would have to be Legion mainly because they iridescent pin I love shredding pallets that people think there going to slide over after me.
-
I'm going to be real with you. I main solo and I see it a lot in Red Ranks but at the same time its swf gen jockeys playing by themselves. I don't mean all swf teams by saying this but a good majority are in a rank they shouldn't be because they ride their friends win streaks while their friends ride the Killer they sit on gens and totems until its time to escape. Then when they want to play and their friends aren't on they play solo and we get this crap shoot.
-
I would actually add a sensitivity slider for the gun. I feel its very cumbersome to aim at times at least when I play my in game sens is very high so it actually messes with my reflexes of my gun control.
-
Pig's Face Mask Add-on now blinds survivors to Jigsaw boxes.
-
How about just changing it to give the same effect that Bloodlust gave you. After 15 seconds you gain a token that increases your movement speed. If you hit a target you lose your tokens.
-
I enjoy a challenge and its a great detox at the end of a long day I can just tell out my frustrations at the screen.
-
I don't feel like something is wrong with either per say but it is kind of douche to do it when 5 to 3 gens are still up. If you need someone eliminated I understand it though.
The only time camping annoys me is when I see all 3 of my teammates around me with no one on a gen.
-
I just laugh a little when Noed pops up on my screen. I only question when it is used on a Killer that has the ability to insta-down already.
Other than that nope I think its fine totems are incredibly easy to find amd theres only 5 of them.

Asylum is still about to get the rework. And I am almost 100 percent certain that this one totem spot won’t stay.
now look at the midwich totem spots or some of the lerys.
Are we playing the same game? Totems the skull things that can sit in an open locker in a long hallway? Or in really obvious protrusions in the map. And that's on midwich. Or are we talking about being hid behind a long row of benches around the outside of the map that? The only good hiding spot on the map was the one on the observation level and everybody knows were that one spawns.
I haven't plated the TTS because all of my perks and unlockables are all on console but I give it 2 to 3 weeks before theirs a video on youtube showing off their incredible hiding spots.
-
@Mandy said:
If an extra perk slot would be introduced, it would undoubtedly have to be done for both sides, and the whole balance of the game would have to be reworked around that change. I don't think it would solve anything, just cause more issues.
Hex totems are always going to be a risk vs reward thing, nothing would change that.
Why both? You have 16 perks total against 4. I think Survivors have 1 to 2 perks that can be considered useless such as unbreakable and the unhook yourself one. My point being is take a look at every Killers load out if you play at all I swear if you don't see Ruin and Undying or PGTW in 80% to 90% your a lier or your in green ranks or above.
Most of the Hex totems are powerful but time and time again the devs prove they can barely hid these things I still have Ruin spawn in an open field in asylum or 5 to 10 feet next to someone. My point is if the Killer had a 5th perk slot we might see an actual shift in perks the Killers could use. My point is 16 perks on a team who communicate is a very powerful thing. And with Killer perks getting progressively weaker something has to change.
-
@Mooks said:
That whole argument of 16 perks against 4 perks does not make any sense in an asymmetrical game. The perks are designed with this in mind.
Hex totems are mostly high risk high reward. And at least with the new maps and I guess some of the spots in the reworked ones the hiding spots get better! Plus they will be harder to spot with the new graphical update in the upcoming chapter.
Yeah don't count your breath on the hidden totems. Countless updates and their still spawns a totem in the middle of a clearing in asylum.
And in a normal sense I would agree but this isn't the game it was in the beginning. Now this game is flooded Swf meta builds. Where if one knows where your totem is everybody knows. Killer perks and natural game play have changed to the point that if you actually want to get anywhere in an actual match Ruin + Undying has to be a staple of your kit.
The change might actually bring some LOVE back to the Killer side. Where if Ruin and Undying aren't found in the first 10 seconds of the game you aren't out 2 perks or 1 perks
Trying to protect the game as it was when it first came out is admirable but all things need to move forward.
-
Your right its when 3 gens pop within a few seconds apart. It's even worse when you have Tinkerer and the alert goes off one after another.
-
I mean Hawkins I don't like playing on but that's because most people don't know how to follow the flow of the map.
The only other map I want Reworked is Swamp. And that's only because the Map has too many open areas.
-
Let's be honest there are potatoes on every system I play DBD on Console and Pc. I attribute this to SWF. Most of the time these guys play they have friends calling out to them giving them instructions. They rank up and get left in higher lobbies and when they want to play and there friends aren't on this happens.
-
It happens to me a couple of times on good day's. I will hook everybody twice and then just go around kicking gens but everybody turns into potatoes.
-
I think it should be map wide instead of what it is now. But yeah I love running it.
-
I said it before D.S shouldn't have been in the game at all. If anything the perk should stay where its at maybe take a reduction in the time it stays active. Other than that leave it alone.
