I like to kill the bots because I feel like any points they get are being wasted, and I prefer they go to the humans that will spend and enjoy them.

They don't play like noobs, I don't think. They play a style that was common years ago, see the killer, run to the infinite loop, loop until killer gets bored. Repeat until game ends. Loops aren't infinite anymore, so it doesn't work, but that's the style they seem to be emulating.

It was also a very "I don't give a sh*t about other survivors or accomplishing anything" type of playstyle, which supports my theory. Survivors will play hard to save a bot, the bot does not return the favor.

“It was also a very "I don't give a sh*t about other survivors or accomplishing anything" type of playstyle, which supports my theory. Survivors will play hard to save a bot, the bot does not return the favor.”

    👆🏽yep, 💯 for sure

Never had a bot loop me like a boss or anything, or haven’t seen any matches vs others where they seem set to even a mid to high skill level. Probz the older style as you mentioned, but I do believe they have the potential… their jukes just seem foreign from what I expected, I guess.

  • Bots are silly. Devs kept them at the noobiest setting to assure Killers their 4K potential, and be pretty much useless to Survivors.

It’s fun chasing them around at 1/2 speed for a while to see what routes they take, how many pallets they drop, how many worthless tiles on the outskirts of the map they’ll try n loop you on.

They have such a weird range setting beyond the terror radius; They’ll just run away from an objective for no reason when everything’s calm and peaceful, as tho they’re being chased.

It’s hysterical… they’re like cartoons the Devs drew into matches to provide comic relief.

I think of them as little dogs running around entertaining themselves… I wanna play with them n see what they’ll do, but not hurt them or hook em or anything. idk, it’s a strange situation 😄

  • Timing is too often uncertain w anything in this game.

I believe it’s inevitable, w/o other changes around certain issues.

yes! I can't wait nitara and reptile look like so much fun.

Yep, stoked for Nitara’s return (Finally!!!), Li Mei too🥳 n for sure Reptile’s lookin’ arguably the best he has. Ermac’s a fav (his release cosmetic face design looks a bit wonky again, ngl😄) so def excited to see how he is. I main Scorp n Meelina since forevvs, but I’ll be throwing Sindel n Nitara in the rotation heavily, as well!

    15.5hrs to go! Elated☺️

  • I choose to main SoloQ for the challenge… tho, as of late, it’s sadly been more of a travesty from more appealing SoloQ memories over the 6yrs I’ve played this game.

SWF’s easy mode, most ways you look at it.

Our SWF’s made up of a few good friends who trust each other completely and always keep it chill vibes n cozy-fun matches (never dominating any Killer, and letting them kno it’s a dry match sans the sweat). However, it’s a rarity when we’re all available to get together n make it eventful. So, instead of being 70/30%, I’m more 93/7% SoloQ to SWF.

fwiw, I haven’t really played much at all in the past 4 weeks… don’t really miss it in it’s current state either. I’ll do the upcoming Holiday events for a li’l bit, but I know well how not to stay suckered into abusive relationships, and hold out for sth better.

Hopefully this DBD cutie we’ve all enjoyed over the years will change for the better… we’ll see🤷🏼‍♀️

Until then, other games are being delighted in😌

  • Haven’t DBD’d much in the past 4 weeks… a few matches. There are some pretty good games available rn that have really made DBD enjoyably missable😌

Hallowed Blight n BoneChill events are always worthwhile for some playtime, nevertheless I’m completely content in not maining this game again ‘til we’ll into 2024.

    Forums are always entertaining, tho.

Agree on the vaults btw, amongst several other missing or neglected integral elements that would enhance this title wonderfully.

iiwii, ‘til it isn’t… or we simply don’t play it anymore🤷🏼‍♀️

  • @RoastedGarlic said:

yeah, i've already stopped playing in the last few days fast vaulting needs to be fixed, female survivor vault fix is more important though. Atleast MK1 is coming out really soon. Between that and TCM I'm good.

Yessss! MK1 preorder early access in 19.5hrs🥳

    Letssss Go!!!

  • Yeah, ppl can get miffed over absolutely anything, anymore, so much that they often don’t see (or care to see) how it affects others.

I feel like you posed this with some good encouragement vibes, and it’s really a refreshing feel from some of the usual angry/frustrated vents that come off as immediate post match attacks, on here.

    Feels Awesome, tbh… Like a positive bonfire☺️

If I was a Franklin’s DCer and read your post, I’d absolutely make the effort to be chill, understanding, and play thru, while appreciating the fun both sides get to have.

DBD was meant to be played in uplifted spirits and community fun as the primary focus.

Wish ppl wouldn’t’ve lost sight of that.

  • I’ve only used WoO a few (50ish X’s) in almost 6 fairly steady years, so it wouldn’t affect me either way… but really, the more crucially serious matter being that this habitual nerf-mania is the prime example of silly and unnecessary stopgap barratry voted upon in bhvr conference rooms, to the more important issues festering there, under the shabby, bulging rug.

They kno there’s a more advantageous, superior solution.

  • pshh, ikr! Maybz by end of year?🤷🏼‍♀️ …we hope

I don’t camp (or tunnel, fwiw😎) so I’m all for this new feature; Interested to see its effectiveness n how matches will play out once it’s released🥳

Gotta say tho, feels like one of those things that shouldn’t have been teased so soonly. If they weren’t going live w it for such an extended period of time (what, like 3 mths now?), they could’ve saved many of us the buzzkill n not brought it up, at all, ‘til they were ready to drop it in-game.

”Got you a super awesome gift! You’re gonna LOVE IT! It’s crazy amazinggg! Can’t wait ‘til you get to have it!!! Not gonna tell you when you’re gonna get it, but you’ll be sooo stoked when ya do!”😩

btw, If they REALLY wanted to curb the tunneling everyone is assuming (some are threatening) will transpire following anti-camp mode’s establishment (or just to curb tunneling, in general), Devs would add a precautionary feature similar to DS (only activating for possible usage everytime a survivor is immediately tunneled off hook), as well as increasing the basekit BT effect to 30 secs.

Players probz wouldn’t wanna bother w all that unless they’re hellbent on tunneling. Most Killers would end up choosing to chase someone else😌

  • Well, for those drenched-in-sweat lords of competitive play overbearingly supercilious Semi-SWF alpha-DBD pseudo deities (SoloQists as well) who allow themselves to become filled with toxic levels of rage, both mid-match and post-match, over the “rando” players that have the audacity to, dare I say, cleanse a totem, or anything at all deemed by their-SWFly worshipfulness as unlawful… yeah, coms (even w a “on/off” switch) could be a downside to the overall experience.

Anything, however smol could set someone off. Com’s-for-all could only intensify the madness.

btw, DBD has succeeded optimally since its inception w/o all-coms, proving whatever numbers of the playerbase who may have completely abandoned the game for not having the coms still hasn’t hindered the outstanding numbers of those faithfully, steadfast DBD-Lifers and newcomers.

To answer the OG question tho, DeadByDaylight CAN have build in voice chat… nevertheless, built in voice chat simply wasn’t and isn’t yet necessary, to this date, and very well may never be needed.

  • Nurse/Onryo

Sadako’s overall vibe, from her creeped out walk to her freaky sfx n spooky appearance are fr, just absolutely cool!🧟‍♀️

Nurse FLOATS!!! Her feet never touch the ground

I mean, come on! That’s just freakn cool!👻

Also, both their TR & chase themes are the most frightfully balanced n best in the game, imo. They’re the coolest of cool😎

  • Love indoor maps🥰

    Hawkins was my fav😔

  • Ripley’s perks are garbage.

    that’s probably not just imo

  • Some kind of sorcery to the inner bindings this game

The pull is too strong… the claws too deep

    Resistance to DBD is Futile

Who cares if they say bye? Let them come here and say it and be gone, everyone knows they'll eventually pick it back up at some point friends will spam you to play DBD even if you quit, people responding feeds it all, if it were ignored all together it wouldn't have any effect, to me its no different than the people who complain 24/7 on here about every little thing but still for some reason play anyway even though in their words the game is awful and unbearable

Well spoken, and equally as well agreed upon

Ayee! I'm a Demogorgon main myself, I use his Geo Mutation skin. I do own Jonathan but I don't really use the Stranger Things survivors much.

Demo pup is best pup <3

    Life’s so much more special w a Demopup fren☺️

    IMG_8333.jpeg

  • Demo

I never bought Jonathan Byers, because I felt Steve and Nancy should’ve always been li’l romantical sweeties the entire series, n never fully appreciated his skin… but it’s always weird seeing him in lobbys, tbh😄

  • There were ppl actually making it sound like bots are OP or sth.

They’re pretty silly to watch, tho. Taking the weirdest routes. Just like in the Practice bot matches, the in-game bots run to the outer edge of the realm and vault the windows on those cheesy, useless deadzone walls.

    Never utilizing their perks.

They often repetitively work on a Gen for a short bit, walk/ run away a few steps, then back to the Gen; have also seen them do the same w totems and while healing other survivors, especially when Sloppy’s active. They seemingly don’t often play to the Killer’s perks; Getting blown off Gens by Rez hooks, not ever evading BBQ via lockers (not that it should be a thing, just thought maybz they’d be programmed to respond tactically in avoidance of such threats).

Bots also seem to not comprehend counterability of certain Killer’s powers, especially Skull Merchant. Managing a 3gen is not a bot priority, and they had zero understanding of the drones, from what I’ve witnessed; just running away as soon as they’re detected. Also, constantly abandoning objectives and fleeing immediately when the terror radius is anywhere nearby.

The bots I’ve experienced are extremely below mid.

…Like, waaay noob. Comical experience playing w them.

  • Nope. 70ish percent

fwiw I stopped trying for achievements a few years ago, buuut no excuses necessary.

GG’s on the 💯% tho, some of those are grueling😩

  • Need to hear crickets or some cicada, as well, plz

  • Never used it🙋🏼‍♀️

Also, not a meta perk kinda person.

Mained CoH ‘til it’s fateful demise😔

Been consistently using Prove Thyself since only recently, and the occasional Pop in my Killer builds. Aside from that, I’m happily Meta-Free🥳

Pretty much over the daily, incessant MfT posts (whichevvz side the argument favors) for that very reason. Haven’t used it, and matches for me, personally, vs the killer are still eventful.

Can’t wait for the Devs to release MfT’s sister perk ‘Made For That,’ so we can move on to enjoying a new steady forum complaint theme😌

  • “So at this point, I have a gen at 50% and just stand still and wait for the killer to show up because what's the point.”

Yeah, Sooo many SoloQ matches play out this way😔

Well, there’s a little finger down there at the bottom of the screenshot pointing to a potential excuse those other Survivors were probz using as to why they’re hurrying for the next match

…didn’t wanna get poked by that pinky.

I, also, have wondered the same, of this DBD life… “just, why?”

  • @Xernoton said:

While I do agree that BHVR sometimes go too hard on the nerfs it is good that they try to keep the game from getting too stale. We can't go back to before 6.1.0 where survivors and killers would run the same perks for years. Not when we have hundreds of perks and addons to chose from. At least in theory.

Yeah, and instead of overly nerfing popular perks to the extent where they are barely, or aren’t even at all, used anymore by players, only to simultaneously buff a few other lesser tier perks to compensate; Just buff the weaker perks so we can pick and choose our builds from a completely useful variety of worthwhile perks.

Nerfing perks extensively to force players out of what they want n enjoy, and into another box (not so much of their choosing) that they are forced to accept, seems a bit tyrannical.

Devs mostly do well, and always mean well, attempting to better their creation.

There are just some things done to DBD that are unacceptable.

  • The agenda has been to nerf (often harshly) anything perk related that’s overly popular, or “too meta.”

Obvz more important areas to focus attention, tho… mmm nope, just keep nerfing😔

  • IMG_8290.jpeg

    The Best: Only Nea… Foreverrrrr

idk who would be the worst, tho

  • SoloQ main

    Keep solving that box!

Be diligent in making certain someone gets the box soon into the match, and during each “blue circle” cycle (buildup around the Survivor hud icons); Preferably and no later than when the “blue” is halfway around the icon.

This is just for utmost precaution and ensuring the chain hunt never activates.

I usually use Balanced Landing in my build, so going high ground to solve the puzzle box gives an advantage, especially in a building where there are obstructions to his LoS. If Pinhead teleports, mid solve there’s still time to break the 3 chains that automatically latch on to you, and then get a speed boost upon landing for distance to a loop.

Best time to solve is if he’s chasing another survivor. He’ll either break chase to teleport to the box holder (which is a plus for your teammate) or he’ll continue chase and you’ll get the solve.

If the chain hunt begins, his add-ons, and an inexperienced (or even a dissonant) team could mean an easy 4K, not to mention whatever perks the killer player brings that just add strife to the chain chaos.

If solving the box while chain hunt is active, the chains target you in sequence of 3 chains, w a slight pause inbetween each set of 3 chains. Always dodge the 3 chains by moving behind an object: Chain appears, go behind a rock or sth, chain hits rock… next chain appears ~ go behind the other side of the rock, or wall, or whatever. Do this 3 times until the “pause in the chains’” appearing, following the 3rd chain. Then begin the solve.

Trying to solve w/o dodging the 3 chains and w/o waiting for the sequence-pause will cause you to get hit by a chain, which resets the solve command until you remove the chain. By that time Pinhead will probz be teleporting to you for an easy hit, and a chase to get his box back.

The usual: Decent loops, mindgames vs the killer, diligence on gens, knowing when/when not to heal, and overall wise gameplay, etc., while working together w a “team-first” mentality are always standard to a successful match. The most important thing is keeping the box solved and out of Pinhead’s hands.

  • Skill set always varies from person to person, imo. Regarding individual/overall strategy or power per killer: What’s easy to learn or master for one or many, just isn’t as simplistic for others, or all.

Huntress is much higher (highest actually) on the difficulty list, for me.

As much as I’ve tried, unfortunately just cannot connect w hatchets, even remotely consistently.

Inability to master the most basic of intricacies, in order to unlock her “full potential,” has Huntress shelved, for me, indefinitely.

Don’t really mind the happenstance either, in that her lullaby, while eerily cool and somewhat menacingly sinister, is unnerving, all match long, for me.

  • During the first at least 15 to sometimes even 30hrs of learning a killer, it’s always bare bones. Perks and add-ons are a hinderance to the intimacy between myself and the character. It’s the only true method of understanding the overall potential each killer possesses.

It would take an all powerful being to do it.

They have built on the intelligence and response to conditioning of the xenomorph in the lore, it rarely works though.

Karl Bishop Weyland tried, but it didn't turn out so good.

Yes, and it’s gonna be interesting to see how in-depth (if at all) the writing/production team goes, involving anything entity related in this upcoming movie. Feeling vibes like they’re keeping it all mysterious.

Wish DBD would’ve been (eventually becomes🙏🏽) a multi-season streaming series. At the least, give us several films plz! We need sth diligently detailed and mentally stimulating, on top of being a gore-filled, fun ride, scream-fest.

  • All creatures have some form of communication shared between each individual species; some also cross-communicate.

The entity is fluent in all forms of communication.

Those pulled into the fog who refuse the commands of the entity are overpowered by her and forced into submission and, inevitably, obedience to her every desire

    …sth like that🤷🏼‍♀️

Yeah, maybz… but it’ll be SO worth it, tho!

DBD peeps’ll warm up to some Higurashi😌

  • Seriously, the Margarita sloshing in the machines atop the gens look great❣️

Devs could totally create a nifty realm for some form of water creature killer, even if the water was only couple feet deep, like a sewer or sth. Movement wouldn’t necessarily need to be slowed either; would just be a water graphic design to roam thru. I’m all for it, especially if I get to swim around n chomp Survivors🥳

•Lethal on a Wraith, Blight, Spirit, Nurse

These are THE 2 things that actually lessen my in game happiness; Silly, yeah? Like, ikr!!! 🙄😄

Just 2 examples of how easily anything at all, however petty, can affect someone. It could be anything anymore, seriously tho, that causes players strife; Pretty much, name any one thing and it’s the answer to your question of what sets ppl off, even to the extreme of quitting.

imo When this game isn’t played strictly chill, and a competitive mindset takes precedence, the tendency for frustration to ensue becomes far to great, burying rationality, altogether.

The only thing I think needs changing is the gate spawns. They can either spawn on the same ######### border, or the farthest they can be. Imo, they need some regulating.

    This would be helpful.

Killer’s powers being used on/ near the Gate Switches makes the process much more difficult in addition to the gates spawning on same or adjacent walls.

    Plague’s puke

    Clown’s Vomit

    Trapper’s Traps

    Demo’s Teleportation

    Doc’s Static Blast

    Spirit/Blight/Wraith/Billy/Legion/Nurse speed between gates

    Knight/Pinhead’s power providing quick visuals

(Oni and Hag are easier to manage)

…these are all extremely tough added pressures lessening the successful gate opening for players who aren’t always running Switch assist perks. There’s just too much work around for survivors vs the powers, plus the additional base speed each killer’s been granted from the Entity.

Gates should always spawn on opposite walls.

  • Wouldn’t main RPM but Yes, I would frequent it

  • Rules are rules, fair enough;

Not enough thought was put into this one, tho.

Sounds like the Wraith got bested by this Survivor team and very pettily found a cheap way to live to kill in another match, or quite possibly get ousted again… this time w/o a loophole.

  • Never did it and I love it!

Do it VS me n I’ll love it more!!!

This game was meant to be fun, every match, for both sides🥳

…buuut, typical complaining humans n there goes all the joy😔

Seems like sometimes ppl put themselves actually into these roles a bit too extremely.

Better to roll the dice than to accept an almost certain missmatch.

Which is why I don't understand why you would want to prevent lobby dodging when you also want the PC penalty removed.

That's just going to result in DCs every single game.

Ultimately lobby dodging has to be an option as long as the lobby exists at all. The freedom to choose not to start a game has to remain as long as quitting a game in progress is discouraged. I could maybe see doing away with the lobby entirely and just loading straight into a match, but that still has some of the same issues.

I would rather have open and DC penalties, than locked in lobbies with no DC penalties, and you can't have neither, or nobody will play at all.

Besides, SWF cherrypick their team mates just as much as someone who dodges lobbies based on their matched lobby.

Well, technically, Devs can still remove in-game DC penalty and the matches will play out via bots.

The Devs then can transfer the standard DC penalty (or even increase it🫢) to the Lobbys, applying it for those who choose to leave.

Hence, the new Lobby Leaving DC Law

…just thoughts, just thoughts, of coarse.

I shouldn’t be forced to play a SWAT team, especially while I’m using someone like Deathslinger. I am on STEAM and can usually tell by their profile if they are friends, so I’m not really guessing. I play fighting games and never dodge good players, but DBD isn’t balanced enough to expect a killer like Freddy or Slinger do well.

It’s a fair point regarding the DBD unbalance.

The MMR capabilities, thus far, certainly has much to be desired, as well.

I just play. Whatever lobby loads is the next match. I’ve played this game too many years to be getting picky w it, anymore, that’s just me.

ngl I’ve wanted out of many a Dhalsim/ Quan Chi fights in my SF/ MK life😉 so, understood.
