The devs successfully killed another survivor perk. Now it‘s useless and only good for swf.

It will still work in solo queue. It's not difficult to wait 10 seconds until the survivor was unhooked to finish the last gen. What do you think the HUD is for?

With that being said, I don't get why they would reduce the duration of the speed boost. That was completely unnecessary.

In general play this will make little difference. It's not like all 4 survivors are in chase with the killer and absolutely need the 5 seconds extra speed. The health state is what made this perk so strong and it's understandable that this part was nerfed. Now it requires a bit of thinking to make it work in case someone is hooked when the last gen is about to pop but it can still grant you about the same results as before.

Of course not, how else would @Xernoton tunnel and slug baby Dwights and megs all day?

    *evil villain laugh*

I have to have someone dead at 2 hooks. Every game. Those baby Dwights don't deserve better! Either that or I win with 1 hook and no tunneling.

It's not a win, if I can't make everyone else miserable.

    @topic:

No. Killers and survivors should play however they like as long as they don't break the rules. Meaning, you shouldn't go out of your to be a dick but you don't have to go out of your way to ensure everyone else is happy.

It doesn't work anyway. Trust me, I tried.

  • Pain Res is defintely not free. You need to get a down and get that survivor to 1 of 4 specific hooks. if Pain Res involved much more than that, it would be useless simply because for every second the killer does not apply pressure, up to 4 survivors work on gens. Meaning the killer doesn't have the time to do much more than that, which for a slowdown would completely defy its purpose.

The first killer to turn the game into a 3v3.

  • Great. So now slugs can hold Victor hostage too, huh?

  • BBQ was great. I still use it because it's my favoite perk but damn what I wouldn't give for those juicy BP.

I agree with most of what you said except even on small maps you can still just turn a corner and continue holding shift w again. Also if you are somewhat decent at looping you can waste the killers time for minutes on end holding w is not going to get you a 3 minute chase. Even with throwing all the pallets now no one is going to have resources and you are still going to go down around any unsafe loop you throw a pallet at.

On small maps, the chances for the killer to cut you off are a lot higher. This is why it doesn't work as well on smaller maps. Well, mostly. Midwich is still fantastic for holding Shift + W because you can only follow the same path the survivor uses. As long as you don't play Nurse that is.

The problem isn't just that Shift + W is done without using any resources. It's more like they use a window or pallet to gain a bit of extra distance and now the killer has to spend 10 seconds minimum to catch up again before the survivor actually has to loop and repeat the process. This often happens as a means to get to the shack from anywhere on the map. Which is a problem because more often than not, weaker killers cannot spend the time to play around shack. And they are also the ones that are most affected by Shift + W. So they are screwed no matter what. The one perk that actually helps with this (STBFL) was nerfed considerably but it's still the tool against Shift + W simply because there is no alternative.

A killer that allows you to loop them for 3 minutes does something wrong. Either they don't notice that whatever set up you're using is way too strong or they play bad, so that is not really a counter argument to the strength of Shift + W.

May I ask, what you call unsafe loops here? Because there are only very few examples of loops where you'd get hit, if you drop the pallet and run away. Like the old Ormond tables (don't know how that area is any more interesting now than it was before but that's a discussion for another day). Even on weaker loops that can be mind gamed without much of an issue, you still get a bit of extra distance. That is easily enough for you to get to the next loop.

  • @Lynxx said:

You know, survivors adapt to numerous unsafe loops, smaller maps, nerfs to perks, etc.

Press w is just all around effective with all the anti-looping killer powers they built into the game now.

The counter to small maps is not Shift + W. Quite the opposite. Because you easily find yourself in a corner with no way to avoid a hit then.

People hold Shift + W on every map. They did it on old Cowshed, they did it on old Eyrie of Crows, they did it on old Mother's Dwelling and look at how these maps are still played. Shift + W. The same goes for the Asylum, Groaning Storehouse and GoJ. All of these maps have strong loops. But why would you loop, when Shift + W buys you an 10 seconds after a pallet break and 15 seconds after a hit just for the killer to catch up again? You're in no danger as long as the killer isn't right behind you and you cannot mess up either.

That's why survivors play this way. It's just like tunneling. It's easy and highly effective. Both are terrible and both should be limited in some way. The question is: How do we do that for Shift + W? Stronger loops and bigger maps are not the answer. Just as killers without chase powers aren't. I mean, look at Myers. His chase power is terrible and people still hold Shift + W against him.

  • Nemesis isn't even that strong with his zombies. I mean, most of the time they give you wrong information because they detect survivors that aren't there and the chances of them actually doing something are not that great either because the AI is about as smart as a stone.

stbfl+rapid is good solution. forced hesitation beats the combo. it is just that most killer builds are game-delay perks, FTP+Buckle up is amazing combo for countering game-delay perks by game-delaying the killer downs. game-delay vs game-delay.

STBFL + Rapid Brutality does not help. Hitting them while they still have the Endurance effect allows them to cover more ground than if you just walked after them until it has worn off. So you basically give them more resources to work with.

Also, STBFL + Rapid Brutality isn't as good as people think. That survivor gets to the very next loop and has to play around it. This is no different from STBFL only. The exception is Deathslinger because you're pretty much down immediately, if he can hit you once without his power.

  • Well... The old Alch Rings were burried in a place in the deepest depths of hell. Only few know of its existence and none have come back from it. The mighty overlords, we call "The Devs" guard this place fiercely. Day and night. Wielding the almighty Ban Hammer, there is nothing us mere mortals can do to retrieve them. And so they are lost in flames. To burn for all eternity, never to be abused again. "So you burn eternally in the shadow realms. May your thirst for retribution never quench, may the blood on Blight's cane never dry and may we never need you again."

I'm glad we are still blessed with the presence of sweaty Blight mains such as yourself. I'll send you a piece of soap though.

    Download (1).jpg

You may need it for your monthly shower.

  • Don't worry. Only 6 more years and they will maybe consider looking at this combo again. The fact that this is a thing is infuriating. I mean, what the hell is the killer supposed to do? Switch to Tombstone Myers mid match? You just take away the killer's down and now they have to go for another chase. They cannot progress and need to spend another 20 seconds (optimistic) to hopefully get a down.

Yeah, one survivor didn't work on gens for a few seconds but that means nothing when the other 2 still progress while the killer cannot progress their objective. Slightly slower progression is much better than no progression at all.

  • Deathslinger could use a bit of help. His time management is awful, his chase power works around most loops but to get a hit / down you need a purple addon to help with the chain breaking and he has no map pressure. The Prison Chain could be base kit and he still wouldn't be overly oppressive.

  • Killer = Tunneler.

    Survivor = Gen rusher.

It's that easy. You can have 9 hooks and no one dead (had that once due to a weird bug) and you'll still be a tunneler. Just as survivors that dare finish the last gen against a 3gen Merchant (no longer in the game) after 54 minutes are gen rushing.

Hot tip - break the Pallet. But dont tell it anyone, it is my secret how to deal with a decent Loop.

You're missing the point. It's one of those pallets where you have absolutely no real interaction. You just run after the survivor to get the pallet out of the way (no mind games because then it takes longer) and then break it immediately. There is no thinking involved for either side.

  • If the picture is anything to go by, the map will still be awful. I mean, that loop in the front is not exactly fun to play around, is it? You see the killer over the car, so there is no mind gaming it and when the pallet is dropped the cars are so long that you can't be mind gamed either. Just like the other car loops. Great.

The other loop in the back is not much better. But there are no trees to make the loop bigger, so it might a little better than the ones on Autohaven Wreckers.

  • Help me out here. How is this a buff? Right now you can't get blinded, meaning the upside of not getting stunned by blinds is already included, you see that survivor's aura for 10 seconds and you have normal vision the entire time. But you suggest to impair the killer's vision, nerf the aura duration and include an upside that's already there and you would take away the killer's lunge for the time of the blind. So to me this just looks like a nerf.

I guess survivors could get the "Killer Blind" BP event, which would hide it but you could do that with Lightborn now and it would be way better. Or you leave Lightborn as it is and it would still be better.

I think it's good that Lightborn makes you immune to blinds. It's the ultimate anti bully perk. No flashlight save shenanigans, no blinding after every pallet drop and you don't have to deal with flashbangs and their issues. Like sound occlusion and the ability for survivors to glitch themselves into the killer to guarantee a save. Overall, it's a huge quality of life improvement for when you want to play a bit chill. The killer only has 4 perk slots, so if they want to limit themself to 3 perks, then I don't see any issue in Lightborn countering flashlights completely. Especially since your idea wouldn't make flashlights much more useful either way.

  • @Lynxx said:

    probably not

they tossed 1 mill bp to us earlier for it - guess tossing bp at the problem is supposed to solve things now

Typical BHVR move to be honest. Cheaters? BP. Game breaking bugs? BP. Event offering killswitched? BP.

  • Sorry to hear that. But for me, there is nothing more to it.

Do that and show me you want me to play friendly (for example dropping an item or shaking your head when I down your team mate) and I'll be friendly.

  • Give me a good chase and don't be a dick. That's all it takes.

Singularity is not easy to play against, lol.

I dont know why people think that EMPs being easily available makes the whole Killer easy to play against. Singularity is a really strong Killer, the only issue is that the effort you put into playing him does not come close to the outcome. If you dont REALLY REALLY like him and play him because he is the most fun Killer for you, there is 0 point in playing him because every Killer who is better than SIngularity requires less effort.

Sure, there are some tweaks which can be done (IMO the biggest issue is that you dont have a power if 5% of the Survivor are hidden by an object), but I would be really careful to change EMPs. Because if there is no EMP available or nobody next to you has one, Singularity is really oppressive in chase while constantly teleporting on you.

It is easy to play against though. Shift + W and the occasional EMP are enough to make this killer suffer a lot. It's not a guaranteed win but it's highly effective and easy to do. You can still use the EMPs in loops and suffer no downside. But you waste a good 10 seconds for the killer and force them to repeat the process of setting up a biopod and slipstreaming you again. That's about 20 seconds and the killer hasn't gotten anything out of that chase yet.

Singularity's chase power is nowhere near as strong as people think and the mobility part is completely under each survivor's control. The Soma Family Photo is pretty much required to make it work. Otherwise you spend a good 20 seconds slipstreaming and teleporting to that survivor and get nothing. No pallet, no hit. Nothing. Because after a teleport you do not catch up to a running survivor before the overclock duration runs out even if all 4 survivors are slipstreamed. Even with Soma Family Photo it's not that good. Many Singularity players use Coup de Grâce for that exact reason.

More than the EMPs, what actually needs changes is the power itself. You cannot use it to get away from a hook, you spend forever slipstreaming survivors and then still get nothing out of it and if you can't keep all 4 survivors busy constantly, you lose everything. This is terrible design. Such a high skill floor and then the power is still worthless without specific perks and addons.

  • @Steakdabait said:

Singu is fine. Just because a character is niche doesn't mean it's bad

Is that why it's so unpopular? Singularity has some massive issues. It's way too hard to play and too easy to play against. You put more effort into learning Singularity than Nurse and the results are mediocre. The best play style for this killer, which is hardcore slugging, isn't healthy either and playing without Soma Family Photo means that the power is pretty much useless.

Survivors can outrun the overclock mode even with 4 survivors slipstreamed without issues. This also means, that they do not need to drop any pallets or vault. So the killer puts in a lot of time and effort and gets nothing out of it because the survivor kept holding Shift + W.

  • I stopped playing him, when they removed 180° flicks. The restricted angles feel terrible and now his main strength is scamper into hit, which I find beyond boring. So I have absolutely no reason to play this killer ever again. What I liked about him is gone and what remains isn't fun for me.

  • They must assert dominance. It's always important to put the "sweaty" killer in their place and bm them as much as possible. Otherwise, is it really a win?

ok.. didn’t know you played that way. Well maybe it’s dome weird MMR mismatch due to backfilling?

I doubt backfilling would explain the frequency with which I got these games. Thanks for your contribution though. Whatever happened, I hope it will return to normal soon.

Either way, I have decided I won't play for a few days. My frustration undoubtedly made some of these matches harder than they needed to be.

  • Well, you see, the shack pallet is often referred to as a god pallet. Only we haven't really discussed which god. Maybe they weren't done worshipping their lord and saviour just yet and couldn't let you drop it because then the killer would break it. This would have disturbed their ritual and angered their god.

  • @Ayodam said:

I see posts like this and I wonder if killers like you—primary killer players—have a rough go of it because you’ve had an easier time increasing your MMR as killer.

@Bafugaboo alluded to it, but your games are probably the result of MMR finding opponents at, near, or slightly beyond your skill level. If you find the games that miserable, play in a way so that your MMR drops to a range more comfortable for you.

I sincerely doubt it. Usually I run around with 2 perks and play extremely chill. At the moment, I try to get something done by bringing better perks and play more serious. I'm still outmatched. Whatever is going on, I don't think it's because I raised my MMR too much.

It's a possibility though. By now I'm also beginning to see that I make a lot more mistakes than normally. It's probably best to take few days off DBD and come back when I am in a better mood.

    @Dumbtecher said:

Can I get these 'insane' survivors that you're getting when I play killer? With plague I haven't lost a single match in months and I've played a solid 100 matches on her and I still vs the same terrible survivors. Sometimes I stomp so hard that they can't even complete a single gen.

On spirit I'd to try to lose and even then haven't lost a single game in months and I don't even use her brainless addon combo (mdr/blossom). I only play spirit because it's how I stay fresh on looping her for longer, even though most of the chase is just guessing.

I picked trickster up after his update to gauge his strength and out of 50 matches I maybe lost 3.

Nemesis I only play with 2 perks to give me an excuse to tunnel because it's funny on him, and i still have like a 70%+ winrate. Most "losses" just beings draws because I brainlessly tunnel on him and don't pressure the gen crankers.

Still, I genuinely don't understand how people are losing 20+ matches!? I guess I can test myself and start playing doctor in pubs (I only play him in 1v1s vs my duo who is an insane survivor) and see my results. But losing that many games just sounds made up because of how bad matchmaking is.

I'm gonna make an alt youtube account, since my main is for survivor and I'll start uploading all my killer matches and remove mic audio so that if there's any questioning of my gameplay, I can always link it.

Still, I genuinely don't understand how people are losing 20+ matches!?

I don't know what's going on. It's partly because I'm hopelessly outmatched with survivors that I can admit are way better than me, the stuff they bring and because I don't play as good as usual. Not anymore. I usually play with 2 perks (one of which is often Lightborn) and I play chill because I want to prevent things like these. Only it didn't work.

It doesn't help that during the event I was sent to GoJ and The Game quite a few times (all losses). I didn't even get the new map because GoJ is apparently the game's preferred map. I switched killers in the hopes that would improve the situation but so far it hasn't worked. I played Huntress, Deathslinger, Nemesis, Doctor, Dredge, Singularity, Plague, Clown, Trapper, Wraith and Billy so far. It's the same on all of them. I would understand that on Deathslinger and Huntress I struggle a bit because I rarely ever play them but I played Deathslinger for 5 matches and I lost every single one of them.

    @Bafugaboo said:

What was your winrate leading up to the event time period? If you had been crushing it you could just of been moved into the more competitive mmr range. If you want to see more of that style play then by all means tunnel it up. If not then take a few L’s and settle into lower mmr and enjoy your matches more. Just a suggestion.

It didn't feel too different from the usual. I only start tracking my matches when something feels off. Prior to the event, I'd say it was about average, definitely not much better than normal.

I can take a few bad matches in a row. That's part of the game but with this amount of crap between cheaters (only counting obvious cheaters here), bad sports and Buckle Up + FTP iI'm at a loss.

Thanks for your suggestion, though. I'll think about it.

Helpful tip in this game just try to make your goal as killer to kill one survivor or achieve 3 hook states. Currently, this is my goal and all I ever aim for anymore.

For the one kill, try perks like rancor or end game perks.

For 3 or 4 hook states, try perks like grim embrace, pop, pain res, dead lock, Corrupt intervention.

Or try for a unique killer thing, like 2 hits with Weskers dash or 1 hit with pigs ambush attack etc.

If the game is still upsetting you take a break it really helps.

Thank you for the advice. I'll think about it.

  • Exactly. Because looping is not an option. You always have to wait under the pallet and you can never fake it so the killer respects it and you gain more distance. That's definitely not how it works whatsoever. It's not like the killer has to guess if you will drop the pallet or keep on looping either.

  • I agree. It happened more often than I am willing to admit that I walked to a missing hook because of this.

A SWF cant abuse it and let me tell you why, due to everyone having DS you know that they will have DS so if they try body blocking then you slug them and just don’t pick them up if they have unbreakable then good they just wasted their unbreakable if not good that’s free slowdown for you cause another survivor has to heal them. They can’t do generators and they can’t heal themselves which just wastes their time if they are trying to mess with you.

the unhooked stealth isn’t abusable either since its stealth the killer won’t be able to track you so they won’t even bother with you

No. That's not how it works. That slugged survivor wastes a lot of time for the killer with the 1 or 2 hits they take. Way more than it takes for the other survivors to get them back up and healed again. That's why bodyblocks are so strong.

Also, you overlooked the most problematic part. A survivor with DS is basically invincible. They can be hit and even downed but they cannot be killed. So what is to stop them from using it to stay around the killer and pallet / flashlight save their team mate? They are at no risk whatsoever. But the killer has to be very careful and look out for anyone that might have DS in every single chase. That's ridiculous and it wastes a ton of time the killer absolutely doesn't have.

We know from experience that everything that can be used aggressively will be used aggressively and DS is no exception. Pre 6.1.0 DS was problem for that exact reason. Because even when a killer didn't tunnel, they still had to deal with it.

There need to be further restricions to a possible base kit DS. Also, base kit perks were never a good idea to begin with. Making DS base kit just like that means, that survivors run around with 24 perks instead of the intended 16. At that point, you can give killers a 5th perk slot, which would create even more issues. You are not supposed to benefit from perks you and your team don't equip.

Sitting in the locker is playing the game when you're doing it to avoid a tombstone mori. It is literally the counter play to it.

The killer did, in fact, trap the survivor in the locker. They were using a tombstone addon and refused to open the locker to progress the match further. The survivor had no option to continue the match beyond getting tombstoned. Nothing prevented the killer from opening the locker but the killer's own choice not to do so. They knew what they were doing. They held the game hostage on purpose for the sake of an achievement.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3681589#Comment_3681589

I don't care how entitled or petty the survivor was being. That is completely irrelevant to the situation in the match. The survivor could not come out of the locker because the killer was in front of it with tombstone active. The killer was in control of this situation and refused to play further for an achievement. The survivor had no option but to stay in the locker. At the very least the survivor had a chance to wiggle off had the killer opened the locker. The killer was in complete control over this situation but chose to waste someone's time over an achievement they probably could've gotten in their next match in the time they wasted in this one.

The survivor had no option to continue the match beyond getting tombstoned.

"The killer had no option to continue the match beyond not getting the achievement." The latter is actually worse because it's a lot harder to get the damn achievement than it is to escape. That survivor was dead anyway. They knew that. So the only reason they chose to stay in the locker was to spite the killer. It's not like you are punished for dying to the Tombstone instead of a hook.

They held the game hostage on purpose for the sake of an achievement.

That was a pretty bad situation for both of them. And technically the survivor did have the option to end the game at any given time. So, the killer did not take them hostage.

The survivor could not come out of the locker because the killer was in front of it with tombstone active.

That's where you're wrong. They could have left the locker at any given point in time. What was stopping them from it? The Tombstone would have killed them but let's be honest, their decision to jump into a locker was calculated. They knew they were going to die. What was the problem with just getting out of the locker and giving the Myers his achievement? If they really had such a bad time then all it would take to end the match was pressing "space" once. But they didn't. Because they knew the killer could not open the locker without letting the entire match go to waste.

The killer was in control of this situation and refused to play further for an achievement.

The killer didn't have any more control of that situation than the survivor did. Technically the survivor had more control because they could decide which way they were going to die while the killer had to live with their decision.

At the very least the survivor had a chance to wiggle off had the killer opened the locker.

Yeah and there also was a chance the Myers fell asleep, so they could have simply left and found hatch. That's such a cheep argument. We all know, why that survivor chose to enter a locker and stay in there and it wasn't because they technically could have had a chance to survive. In fact, we know that they had a guarantee that they could deny the achievement by just staying in the locker until the match shuts down.

The killer was in complete control over this situation but chose to waste someone's time over an achievement they probably could've gotten in their next match in the time they wasted in this one.

"The survivor was in complete control over this situation but chose to waste someone's time over an achievement." See how that works? Replace "killer" with "survivor" and the argument is just as strong as before. Which is not at all.

Both of them did the exact same thing here. They were holding the other in a position with no good outcome. Either we punish both of them or none. Everything else is hypocrisy.

  • @KateMain86 said:

The survivor should not be forced to exit the locker and be hit with the tombstone. The killer however had every means to end the match by grabbing the survivor from the locker and refused to do it. That is taking the game hostage. It doesn't matter if they were trying to get an achievement. The survivor is not obligated to give that to them.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3681581#Comment_3681581

The killer player is entirely in the wrong here. Lockers are the counter play to tombstone. The survivor is not obligated to give that to them no matter the reason. If nothing was done in these situations it would be common.

It's not like that survivor didn't know what they were doing. So, they were extremely petty to say the least.

In my opinion neither of them should be banned for it. Yes, neither of them followed the rules but they both created this standoff. Both of them could have ended this match at any given point but they made the conscious decision to hold the other hostage.

This is like 3 gens remaining, 1 survivor dead and the last 3 hiding with no interest in doing gens. The killer is technically holding the game hostage as long as they keep on playing because the survivors have no way to do the gens without getting found but the survivors are also holding the killer hostage because they have no way to track them down. In this case, neither party is obligated to give up.

  • I prefer a bit of everything. Sure stomping every game is boring. But sweating every match isn't any more fun. But both can be enjoyable every once in a while. Just not every game.

  • @Rudjohns said:

Base kit BT should not give deep wound

It shouldn't allow you to bodyblock either. Completely remove that survivor's collision with the killer and it should be fine. That would also make OTR a way better perk.

  • Why would anyone use such a perk? Just bring the ebony mori instead and you save a perk slot. To mori someone that is dead anyway isn't really strong. You save a hook but that's it. They'd be dead anyway.

  • I disagree. I think the problem are flashbangs not flashlight saves in general.

Survivors can glitch themselves into the killer and drop a flashbang right on their feet during the pick up animation. That allows them to get the save even when the killer stares into a wall. Their is nothing the killer can do to counter that, which is obviously not intended. Dropping a flashbang behind a wall also bugs out the sound, which means the killer will come around the corner and get blinded with no warning whatsoever. Also obviously not intended.

I've been ignoring it because I still don't 100% understand and it seems a waste of time. Have I got this right? You see those blood droplets (I hardly seem to come across them) you collect by just walking up to them. You deposit those in the blood fountain looking things? This creates a ring that give you bonuses? I also seem to have difficultly working out how far reaching the effects go.

Yeah, I think that's how it works. You can also retrieve blood droplets from active basins and by hitting a survivor with a M1 or stunning the killer. As for how far these effects reach, it says that you benefit from them "anywhere in the trial grounds". So that should mean it's global.

singularity does not camp hooks. he camps slugs. that is one of his strongest suits. it is the fact that if you hook someone, you lose infection and that hook person is drawback to your camera's. If you slug someone, you keep infection which buffs overclock and you get no penalty for camera's. You also spread infection because when other survivors pick up slugs, you infect them with slipstream and when they're infected with slip stream, guess what happens next? You get teleported on. Just like a hag trap.

I also made an error in my original post. when i was talking about hook camping, i meant unknown clones. Not singlurarity. My mistake.

Ahh. Ok. You see why I was confused.

I'm not sure I would call this particular play style on Singularity camping. I mean, a slug can still move. So that might be a weird term to use for it. Also, from what I've seen people actually seem to try and pressure the entire team instead of focusing on one survivor in particular.

i meant unknown clones. Not singlurarity.

Yeah, that makes sense. Although, calling it camping is again a bit questionable. The illusions can be used to get back to the hook but you wouldn't when to teleport until the unhook has happened. So this is more like tunneling. Which every other killer with mobility can do as well. Or is there something I have overlooked?

All we know is that he will be reworked at some point. But given that the Twins' rework was announced early 2022, my guess is, it will take at least another 2 years.

What on earth are you talking about lmao.

    https://support.deadbydaylight.com/hc/en-us/articles/7888551216148-Error-Code-130#:~:text=If%20you%20are%20encountering%20Error,launch%20Dead%20by%20Daylight%20again.

    >Error 130 signifies that there is currently a large load on our servers due to many people trying to launch Dead by Daylight at once.

    >If you are encountering Error 130 we ask that you please wait 15 to 30 minutes and try to launch Dead by Daylight again.

I responded to op, who said that they think their save file was deleted. That's all. The error code has little to do with that.

[...] but it also said my save couldn't be read [...]

  • At least raise the BP gains by 50%. Because this is depressing. This doesn't feel like an event at all. Most people seem to ignore the event stuff (which is understandable) and the BP gain is negligable even if you focus on it.

  • If your save is lost, then I believe there is nothing that can be done. Although I am not sure how the save file could be lost. It's not like it is deleted after not playing for X amount of time. Have you checked if anything in particular is missing? It could be that it's only a few minutes of your last session that weren't saved because you exited the game too quickly or whatever.

  • The gameplay seems to be pretty mediocre. It's not the worst we've seen but it's also not good. To top it off, the BP gain is a joke. I'd rather play the Lunar New Year event. At least then, I'd actually get a few more BP out of it. But this is sad. It's barely noticeable and you have to do way more to get something out of it. So much so, that you might end up throwing the game, which means you get less BP than you would have normally.

  • Lightborn is the only way. Everything else can be worked around and there is also a bug with sound occlusion when a survivor drops a flashbang behind a wall.

You will not hear the sound, so you walk around the corner and it blinds you immediately with 0 time to react. On top of that survivors can glitch themselves into the killer when they pick up and plant a flashbang right on their feet. This is a guaranteed blind again, so looking at walls doesn't work either. It's not helped by the fact that Background Player exists.

The only way to deal with it, is to bring Lightborn.

  • Nope. That's a pretty bad idea.

Why would anyone mend until the very last second, then? I mean, you're basically invincible. This would shove Legion all the way to F- tier and endurance perks would become the most busted things imaginable. This is worse than original MoM. You don't solve tunneling by granting survivors invinvibility randomly throughout the match.

singularity is 3 gen killer. He's also camping slugging killer. Basically he's suppose win through bleed out but this is very.... not effective strategy. I don't think unknown is 3 gen killer, rather his strongest suit is proxy camping hooks.

He has Hag teleport to hook strength. He is about camping, just not gen camping. hook camping.

Have you ever tried to camp a hook with Singularity? It's damn near impossible to do that any better than any M1 killer would. Because Singularity has multiple safety measures to make it weak in camping situations. And I mean really weak. If the survivors cannot play around these, than they are pretty terrible. It's not hard to break LoS for a second and then go for the unhook, if at all necessary.

This comarison to Hag is pretty weak. We don't consider Nurse a camping killer but she can come back to the hook way faster than Singularity. The same goes for almost any other killer with mobility. Hag is instantly back at the hook, while Singularity needs to Slipstream and teleport first. Both of which take way longer than normal thanks to the camping restrictions and even then an EMP would completely disable that.

And if you stay around the hook, it isn't any better because the camping restrictions are still active and you also get a penalty when you switch back from a biopod.

  • Honestly, Singularity and Unknown aren't much better at holding 3gens than any other killer with mobility. 3gens are always a favorable position for the killer given that they don't need to waste time patrolling gens across the map and can drain the resources in a smaller area to shorten future chases.

So, I feel like those 2 aren't that impressive at 3genning but 3gens in general are pretty good for the killer.

With the anti 3 gen mechanic in place, it is mostly manageable though.

  • There is only one part about that has close to 0 counterplay and that's the teleport in a loop. Everything else can be dealt with in one way or another. Overall, I wouldn't call Unknown overpowered.
