A secondary objective should be engaging enough to induce people to stop doing the primary for a while. But if all totems were all hidden as well as that one in the video, it would cause survivors hunting for them to run around the map for minutes doing nothing (no points, no progress) which is not fun. This would induce people to ignore totems, aggravating the "gen rush" problem, or to run anti-totem perks, which if they become meta would make null all the work to hide totems.
The point is that no, totems can't and shouldn't be hidden so well as that in the video, because one way or the other it wouldn't be healthy for the game.

Don't start chases in the early game. Even if finding survivors is very tempting, your top priority is to create a "web" of traps that will make future chases much shorter. Also try to always have as many traps active as possible, even if it takes time. Their effect can easily compensate for the time lost.
-
I can already see the standoff: the survivor doesn't enter the exit zone not be oneshotted, the killer refuses to hit them until they become exposed, both stares at the other for mintues.
-
As survivor, Diversion. After running this perk in my build for a while, everytime I don't I think "damn I wish I had a pebble". It saved me many times, and it's always funny when it does.
As killer it's hard ot say because I have a different build for each one. The first that comes to mind is Knock Out on the Wraith. In combination with MYC it's deadly since it makes you more unpredictable and survivors tend to panick because of this.
-
I would love an arsonist, with a fire-based ability.
-
I use it often on the Wraith, and I think that would be a huge buff. With that change its snowballing potential, which is already pretty high especially on stealth killers, would increase even more.
-
For survivors, I'd like a perk that allows to create scratchmarks in a straight line in front of you. It would allow a lot of cool mindgames.
For killers, I'd love one that applis the Oblivious status effect on survivors in some way. It's a cool status effect, but being relatively new it's underused.
-
Bubba has the best ones imo. Knock Out is good for slug builds and on stealth killers, and Franklin's Demise is simply amazing. It makes survivors mad and induce them to do stupid plays which you can profit on. BBQ needs not explanation.
-
I think you have no idea how playing against old DS was.

I think that's the mistake most people make: Saving it. That's not to say you shouldn't walk more, but it's handy for also getting to survivors on hook, getting away from the area you just unhooked (since they'll know you're there now, good for fighting campers if you bring Borrowed Time too), moving from a completed generator, moving through open empty areas where nothing will obstruct the killer's line of sight, seeing a glowy totem & panicking to get to it and get it done lol, etc. I disliked it at first until I stopped saving it for just when the killer is already there. Fixated or Urban Evasion is nice to go with it, but I wouldn't say necessary.
This. If you stop saving Sprint Burst, the perk becomes much more useful for the simple fact that it allow you to travel the map more quickly. Plus you can manage the exhaustion and still have it ready if the killer finds you.
-
There are too may cons than pros. How about the opposite: a rotation of perks that give an incentive for using them (like bonus shards, for example).

Lol considering he has the very simple counterplay of say..staying out of his tr oh and lockers, oh and calm spirit..I'd say you should do a tad more research before you speak..some of us are kind of experianced
I'm a 50/50 player with 3000+ hours. I'm just not biased and want the game to be more fair and healthy for everyone, but I understand on these forums this might sound insane.

Honestly this game would be sucked dry of any fun if every one of these posts was taken overly serious...the killers job is to stop you..not to mildly inconvenience you..jeez
So having counterplay removes fun? Didn't know that, thanks for letting me know.
-
I'm not a big fan of the reveal mechanic of Ghostface.
-
Personally I don't think he is weak at all. His shred attack is amazing but needs quite some practice, and his portal are both utility/map pressure and stalling (since survivors want to remove them from key locations).
-
The penalty is multiplicative, so it's the second option (40s).
-
As survivor Iron Will hands down. It's the best survivor perk imo.
As killer, Hex: Devour Hope, no explanation needed.
-
That would be insanely boring.
-
That would make toolboxes a requirement for survivors, and killers would start dodging a lot lobbies with toolboxes.
-
She does? I'm pretty sure that most of the times I stun a Nurse mid-blink I get the stun points but she goes directly in fatigue.
-
According to BHVR stats there is SWF is in 50% of the matches, and we know well that if killers could see it they would dodge it asap. That would destroy queue times for both SWF and solo players, who must pray to get into a solo-only lobby to be able to play.
-
That would easily promote unhealthy gameplay.
-
With bugged audio and hard to see scratchmarks (especially on lower resolution/settings) she is definetly hard to play, but fixed those two she is relatively easy.
-
It would be easily abusable for deranking and trolling.
-
You can pretend to break the pallet and then avoid the blind. It's a good way to make them deplete their precious charges.
-
BHVR definetly needs to add proper graphic options. People like me with crappy PC already need to jump through hoops to get the game to a playable state, it's not normal in 2020 to have to edit .ini files to change basic stuff like resolution and AA.
-
Do the vultures in Dead Dawg Saloon have a story/name like Maurice the horse?
-
1) He provides an audio cue when he is going over windows (why was this ever a thing?)
In a recent match against a Clown I noticed his grunts cover the sound made by Bamboozle when blocking a window. Maybe it's intentional?
-
When someone goes to sabo change direction and head towards the other nearest hook. It's really that easy.
Plus it's not true that they can sabotage after being hit, unless they have a very good toolbox.

Well yes rank 20 is obviously full of immersion.
Had a match the other day vs rank 1 survivors who literally spent 2 minutes immersing waiting out Corrupt Intervention. Immersion knows no rank.
-
I agree, this change doesn't make very sense. It's also kinda confusing, especially for newer players.
-
Party Crasher Julie handsdown.

If a survivor is broken you will ALWAYS be infected after the unhook, that is how the infection works. If you dont believe me then go in a kyf and try it with friends.
It could be a bug, but I had occasions where unhooking an infected survivor didn't infect me.

You have a point. But I was playing plague, the feng was not infected for the entire game except when I found her at the start. If you know plague then you will know what happen if you touch a infected gen or a broken survivor^^. With that clue its obvious that she didnt do anything productive. I saw her once, infected her and then she immidiatly cleansed. She kinda killed the team with that cuz of that second pool I could create alot of pressure.
No survivor touches infected stuff unless it's strictly necessary, and sometimes unhooking infected survivors isn't contagious, so that is hardly proof. In my experience it's easy to accuse someone of not being helpful but most of the times those accusations are false.
-
The nice thing about Wraith is that he is very versatile and everyone can have a different build which works best for them. My personal build is BBQ, MYC, Knock Out and Surge, with windstorm and shadowdance. Always on the move and with high snowball potential.

I have said the same, but someone made a fair point - the Killer can just moonwalk/look away (like old Legion).
Otherwise, I 100% agree, neither should I need to jump a locker because my DS is going to expire and the Killer is chasing me for almost a full minute (which is tunneling) nor should the Killer get a free hook, just because he slugged me right off the hook (which is also tunneling).
Right, I forgot about moonwalking. It could stop in killer's proximity though, that could be harder to abuse.
-
she was hiding and immersing the entire game, just saw her leggit 1 time. She was never unhooking or touching barely any gens.
How do you know? I had many times people making similar accusation which were totally false. If a survivor is stealthy it doesn't mean he isn't doing anything, most probably it means you just don't see them doing them.
-
I actually don't see a problem with it. On the left you have an average window loop which can be used efficiently only in one direction (kinda like the cow tree), on the right a semi-long pallet loop.
-
Nah it should have a shorter timer which stops during a chase and when downed, so it would really punish tunnelers without being abusable.
-
I disagree, Thanatophobia creates a win-win situation for Legion since injured survivor make things slower but those who heal waste their time given how easy is to be injured by Legion. Besides, an injured survivor can still loop for a good amount of time and high rank survivors know it, Thanatophobia makes sure that if they decide to rush the gens they are not fully efficient.
-
Inner Strenght is definetly better. Hunting/cleansing totems is something that already happens naturally during a match, and the fact it can be "stored" for later makes it very handy. The fact that the actual healing takes just 8 seconds ignoring slow down perks and makes you immune to aura reading (which is staple meta for killers) make it a risk-free perk, which is a huge advantage.
The only advantages of Self Care are the points for skillchecks and the unlimited uses, but realistically you don't need more than 2-3 heals per game
-
Maybe you rely too much on the aura reading. Try using it to learn where people like to hide instead.
Or play Doctor and just use Static Blast.
-
Nope. Don't want to play Dodge by Daylight.
-
There is an insta heal, it's called For The People. The difference with the old ones is that it has a cost/downside, but I met a couple survivors who made my life definetly harder thanks to that perk.
-
Not all players hide at the same level. It's rare in high ranks play a match with no ninjas. If you are not good enough locating survivors, there are players that you will not see. Fewer survivors at sight, more survivors to chase, more focus on them. More tunneling.
This is the survivors' fault. I'm a stealthy player but if someone on 2nd or 3th hook is chased I try to get the killer's attention/take a hit (even if it means I get hooked) so that the other survivors won't die.
-
The forums are the place were people come to complain mostly. With that attitude usually it's hard for good discussions to come out.

The devs do seem quite lazy, especially if you were to compare them to the devs of Warframe for example
Not to be that guy but Warframe's devs are those that create new stuff and then forget about them letting them die.

I hope I didn't accidentally give off the impression of being insulting for people who may have body types like this but rather I was trying to point out that this type of body isn't just extremely rare and mostly unnatural but requires a certain type of dedicated routine that would be more harmful than beneficial and Yui just doesn't fit that imo because of the rest of her body and lore.
It's not about dedicated routines though. I do absolutely nothing for my legs, they are just this way for no reason.
-
To me they seems ok. Body/leg proportions are not the same for everyone. For example I'm tall and usually people of my height have skinny legs, while mine are "bulky".
