It's nice to see you apologize, but maybe be careful about justifying it with "I was drunk". That'll give some the impression that if you get drunk again, you'll do it again.
It's not a justification by any means. Trust me I don't use it as a scape goat, drunk or not doesn't make it okay.
-
Yeah...my apologies. I was mad drunk and I'm mean as sin when I drink. Believe me I know I can make an ### out of myself. Mostly to 007, my bad dude I just wanted to argue and apparently I chose you.

Not talking about comp and swf only so basically if you're a god nurse and suddenly you get bored and you want to buy a new killer you will get matched with same level survivors the game matches you with when you play your main so you have literally no chance .
Also get out of here with your survivor main BS.. So being toxic in game chat isn't enough and you want to bring that toxicity to the forum too?
Oh please. You wanted a high MMR being a one trick now you complain when you try something else? Get good at them. You want to win every match. It's not you 'get a 4k' everytime. You will struggle. Complain somewhere else and grow up. "I want to pick up a killer and be super good right away, why am I not 4k everygame with a new killer or vs new players😡" doesn't work like that

I would expect nothing less from a Nancy pfp to be fair. If I had a dollar for every time someone cried about camping and tunneling in this game I would be a rich, rich man. I get tears literally every day I play killer.
But that's the usual double standard in this game. Survivors can cry all they want, but killer? Nope. Git gud.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2895822#Comment_2895822
That's how I learned. I probably played my first ~300-400 hours on Nurse. From there I moved to Wraith, although i'm not sure how much I would recommend him these days. The M1 killers can still compete but your only strategy is basically tunneling at 5 gens +2-3 slowdown perks, otherwise you can't win with them.
In before this survivor main tells me "just 12 hook the survivors on coldwind in 4 minutes with clown 4head"
Yeah basically. Quit crying. No one actually cares. Play the game or quit? Quit the "woe is me my life is hard" crap. You don't like it, than stop. "I hate when survivors t-bag me, or flashlight spam" want to know a good counter? Quit caring.

Ain't no fun in this at all,a lot of killers like slinger are weak and getting trolled by toxic swf's isn't a fun experience until you * learn * a new killer I'd rather stick to nurse after all until it's possible to practice in a more friendlier environment.
There is no friendly in comp
Get good, quit crying and grow up. It's a game. Poor you:(

I don't care about pips, rank, or bloodpoints. The only thing that matters to me as a killer is kills.
I guess you enjoy losing, you do you.
Clearly you must to care that much. It's funny the killer mentality you get so mad over a t-bag and Macro you throw the game and get butt hurt. Poor you. Some internet person didn't play how you like:(

That's some survivor main propaganda.
"Just have fun getting dumped on, teabagged and BMed at the exit gate, and abused in post game chat"
Yeah, I'm good. My recommendation is NOED on killers you are learning. Or Rancor if you feel confident using it. No 4 man outs ever, it's the ultimate disgrace.
Survivor main propaganda? Lmao. So. You don't play killer at all? Or you just think your pips and rank mean everything?
"OH I went to gate and they t- bagged me, my life is so rough boo hoo feel sorry " grow up. It's a game. People will be crappy, wonder how you handle real life if you can't handle some online people making your life rough. Cry harder. "Must be survivor main cause he isn't triggered by t bagging" or maybe I just don't care and find it funny? Lol
-
And?Only one way to get good with a killer. Learn from you mistakes. Killer, you can make one bad chase. Against a SWF. That's game. Quit giving yourself pressure to do as good as your main. Have fun even if it's a 4 man out. 'How can you deter that in the future?' 'What can you do to better the playing field? '
Point is. Give a new killer a chance and enjoy them. Learn their in's and outs.
-
I assume you are a normal hag main. I would recommend Artist(true main), blight, and for tons of fun if you puke on pallets, windows, and choke points, the plague. So damn good on this map if you anticipate the loops around you. Longer the loop takes the more they will be infected. One hit down and can steam roll from there due to her very tall height puking over things.

I agree, but if you are good, you're going to get a high MMR regardless. It is inevitable, it's not a reward. A few DC matches don't matter either.
Fair point. But I also don't think it's enviable to get into high MMR. Tons of people on this forum are probably very good. Yet I bet a vast majority are not in high MMR. They just think they are. I solo q survivor so I very much highly doubt I'm in high MMR. I like having 'higher' MMR as it challenges me allot more, regardless if I die. So it is a reward. There are many that just want to pub stomp or bully killers. 'Easy' games.
-
@Awkweird said:
First of all you shouldn't care if your MMR goes down. There is absolutely no reward for having a higher MMR, you only get tougher opponents. Also it's a magical value that no one sees.
Why do teams suffer because of the actions of a member of the team? That's a fact of life that BHVR can't change. If someone gives up, yeah you're gonna have a ######### time.
There Actually is a reward for some to have higher MMR. You play against tougher opponents. It's the challenge and satisfaction if you had a hard game. Not everyone likes easy matches.

Bird momma genuinely freaks me out. Her animations, the noises, the presence. I hate her so much. Even after I've played as her and against her so much I still get a sense of dread when I go against her.
Sometimes when I'm in a chase I'll be doing great then I'll get a rush of "oh God make it stop please just go away!"
Dunno why, I don't have any issues with any other killers or horror in general.

Personally I think it would make queue times even more awful. The game is meant to be scary even if it may not be so much anymore.
Sure this will sound a bit heartless but I don't think the devs should focus time on trying to be all coddly with people who can't handle something in a video game. If anything it enhances the fear factor in game. If it's to rough then just don't play I guess?

Why do you think I like to play solo q survivor. The pain.
-
I usually will just give them the match. Let them do a bit of farming if someone DC's early. UNLESS they were t-bagging and clicking. Earlier a team was down to only 2 gens and someone dc'd. I just let them have it, though was hilarious. It took them about 4 minutes to come put of hiding because I was putting so much pressure on the gens(they were in a straight line and I was blight).
A de-pip doesn't even really matter tbh. Plus can make for some funny interactions.

This isn't a Blight thread. I said Artist was fine.
I never said that you stated she was overpowered? I learned to read back in elementary school, thought thats pretty common nowadays?
-
You said ridiculously overpowered. Blight with alc ring is for one. Not that I'm saying nerf him but his add-ons are crazy strong vs artists.

@GoodBoyKaru said:

I don't want her to be nerfed, I just don't think she's very well designed. A lot of players dislike the sound effects, think the prestige looks whack, dislike how her skins were (are) Prime exclusive, and just find her gameplay too similar to other killers except needing much more investment for similar results.
But she's one of 27 killers, and it's inevitable that at least one (if not more) will appeal only to a niche audience. Provided the people that play her like doing so, and she isn't horrifically overpowered (which she isn't) then I think she's fine.
Blight with Alc ring.

-
@MilManson said:
I don't think anyone has mentioned yet that her vertical gaming is literally non-existent, if you get a multi-level map you can't contest the generators beneath you with your power as you have to be on the same floor and with survivor sided maps like Coal Tower, Badham (when the generators are underground/above you in floor).
I don't think the devs are ever going to allow her to fire her crows up or down.
That is true. Even on maps like swamp it can be hard to put the crows right. Though it never bothers me to much.
-
@CrowVortex said:
She's my go to killer, then again i love the crow theme, visuals and overall play style. Most seem to forget that she's not all about cross map snipes, her kit can be divided into map wide information, harassment, loop denial and potential 1v4 which not a lot of killer's can do. Sure you can hold W against her as the best tactic, but every killer faces that anyway these days with pre drops and people who camp pallets, rinse and repeat.
I think just don't use her crows right ig. The amount of insane pressure you can put on gens especially at 3 gens left, is mind boggling. Just for the information alone and getting them off the gens for a sec or take a hit.

Yeah I personally find that getting to iri 1 is basically just playing the game with friends as soloq is not easy especially if you get put with new survivors. I always aim for 2 gen two unhooks and a good long chase. I might be wrong but I believe to pip you need to have all gold or 1 silver and 2 gold and one iri. Keep playing you will eventually make it to iri 1 though best I have done as killer is iri 4 and that was me sweating.
Oh I've done it before. I just keep getting stuck in iri 2 limbo. But I only soloq as...well who needs friends lmao.
-
@DriplordDrew said:
Cause the pip system is busted and rewards survivors for farming teammate and hiding close to the killer while doing a gen can only really help you get a safe pip most of the time. Honestly in gold and Iri you need to make sure you get chased and pull one person off. Rule of thumb 1 gen, 1 safe unhook, 45 sec chases and lasting 9 mins in game you should safety pip. Iri its almost double everything but the surviving 9 mins as I think that is the cap anyway just to pip.
Yeah safety pipping gets harder in Iri. Stuck in limbo of Iri 2. Stg everytime too. Have to pretty much have like perfect games to even pip let alone double pip.

Opposite for me, cannot stand playing her. Shift w is boring but also the best strategy against her, and playing her all I can think of is how much I'd rather be playing Pyramid Head.
Yes W-keying away works but it is also something you can abuse for the survivor. I expect them to do so, which is why I will put out a dire towards the next loop. She isn't as basic as most would think.
-
@Piruluk said:
To hard to learn, you can play others who are very easy to learn and can perform almost as well
Sure, she has a hidden skill cap but to me that's why she is so satisfying. Not just easy to pick up and be good with.
-
@GoodBoyKaru said:
Strong =/= fun
Her kit is a carbon copy of killers that came before her. She brings nothing new to the table and requires a lot of effort put into her to get her kit to properly click. The only things she can do that others can't - long range snipes - are massively ineffective in practice. You're better off playing Nemesis, Pyramid Head, Slinger, hell even Huntress. And people have realised this.
I mean sure. Same basic kit but I rather enjoy her. I dint think she is as boring as most make her out to think. She takes quite a bit of predicting and thinking. To me is more fun to have the challenge of it. Its not just "play run here and smack". You throw dire out, hit them, then predict where they are running around a building or loop and hit them again. So satisfying IMO to get a down when you predicted where they will run again.

Maybe she's not so strong as people make her out to be. I like playing her, but she has her downsides.
She is actually very strong. I love playing her as she is really the only killer I play besides sometimes blight. She just has hidden skill cap I want to say. To get good with her takes allot of time to really shine with her kit. Granted her add-ons are kind of....meh. but her base kit is really a hidden gem.
-
Okay so as Artist is my main maybe I can point some things out. I've debated making a guide on here but seems kinda cringy. I'm by no means Otz level of killer though.
Artist strength comes in her mind games, forcing pressure, and quite of bit of thinking. There are just some general tips.
•While the usual strat is to W-key away. You can use that to your advantage. While throwing down the crows you can start to zone them in the direction you want. Not always works but you would be surprised how often it does. Or they take a hit.
•She in my opinion becomes allot stronger the longer the game goes on. Less gens, less crows to throw around. You can put a ton of pressure especially when they are down to three gens. Again, they can continue to stay on it and risk getting hit or run off the Gen.
•She does struggle a bit more in indoor maps vs outdoor but mind gaming corners with the crows can give you the chance to reroute them.
•While it is nice to get downs with dire crows, I think people tend to mind game themselves into trying for the "cool shot" when bloodlusting works better.
•She is stronger then most would think, use her crows more as recon vs a down. If you can get the hits either through them still trying to loop, or by double crow, awesome. But don't rely or expect it. I'm usually surprised when I get a down with it unless I'm just trying to snipe from afar.

I don't blame the killer's for camping. Now, I am usually a survivor main besides only really playing artist and sometimes blight. I feel most of the people that truly complain about camping and Tunneling don't play enough killer.
There are no rules in this game despite what many survivor mains would like to think. You don't start a match or have in the loading screen:
•You must not tunnel and camp.
•You must give last survivor alive hatch
•You may not use any broken or ultra rare add on's. Nor map offerings, only survivors are allowed to do so.
•You must also go to end gate and let them click, t-bag, and point until they are satisfied.
Etc. Etc. Really people are going to play how they want. That's simply it. Often I've learned even if you play "dirty" you get allot more wins. More hate but even still.
-
I think fengs are cute up until they turn toxic. Then its not so cute. More just annoying

I still havent seen a single Killer admiting they have made mistakes and get stomped because of lack of skill, its never "I messed the loops" or "I made the wrong decissions" its always "Survivor is OP" or "DH/DS/FotM is broken".
I admit to it. Often if I had a good chase, send a chat if they got out. Yesterday I was playing some blight, trying to get good with him. Actually had the 4k but I decided to let little Leon go last minute. Sent a chat that it was fun and he goes "I'm a god".
....what? I let him go because I closed hatch. He was stuck on one door. Made me laugh though. Man's really believed he escaped all by his lonesome.
