You weren't losing bloodpoints and pips before? The only reason someone wouldn't complain about that (and many did), would be if they were self inflicted disconnects.

So, stop DCing. No, you can't cuck the killer of his hook/sacrifice points anymore and get away with it.

    KEK to the W, man.

WTH are you talking about?! Did you even read the posts?

    1. DCs now have a penalty (Very glad about that)
    2. The developers do not take game crashes into consideration. So, when you are playing, like I was last night with Trapper, and the game crashes, like it did to me as I was hooking the last survivor, then you not only lose your BP, but you get a 5 minute time out. Why on God's green earth would I DC as I'm hoking the 4th survivor for the win?!
    3. The horrendous servers have caused me to crash several times in the past few months. There have been complaints. Even when they tried the last DC penalty period. The game crashes and you get a penalty time out. That is pure BS.

Try to read and comprehend. The OP is mad that he is being penalized as DCing when the game crashes. He is not the only one. There are several, including killers.

One is a strategy, another is throwing a baby fit.

I've said this a thousand times. Camping is not a strategy. A strategy is a plan you put together in order to win. It takes an opponents strengths and weaknesses into consideration and anticipates counter strategies. For example, using a heavy run package in football vs a team that is weak vs run. Camping 100% depends on the stupidity or lack of skill of your opponent in order to win. No strategy is a plan that hopes for your opponent to be stupid.

Camping is an activity that could fall within an strategy at times. It is a useful tool in some situations, and I would disagree with punishing it due to that. For instance, if the gens are done, door is open and you have a hooked survivor, why would you leave that hook? It is almost a guarantee they get away if you do. AS it is, BT or BS might foil you already.

Camping from the start of the game, not a strategy. It is a toxic activity, nothing more. Strategies are plans focused on winning the objective, not plans that fully depend on the inability of survivors to do what they are fully capable of.

If connection issues were a big thing before, where were your complaints before? Why only now?

Because now he is punished as DC'ing when the game crashes. Pretty much explains it in his post.

Maybe if you compile enough evidence. Start recording videos when you play. It's amazing how this problem happens to SO MANY people yet there absolutely 0 evidence of it.

It has happened to me before. The last time they ran this fruity system. I'm all for punishing DCs as it ruins everyone's game, but their game crashes a lot. The servers are horrible. Just last night I got cut out of a game I was rolling with as killer. About to hook the last survivor and the game drops on me. Five minute penalty. ######### is that?!

  • They work well as they are. They are meant to help track, not give position and movement away. Spies is one of my top perks, partially due to colorblindness, which makes me all but blind on many maps. Spies gives me nice direction.

  • I had a match where 2 DC at the start because they obviously don't want to face the OP Trapper. So I see a survivor in the killer shack and I move to the door and give a fast swing and nod my head as if to say "go ahead and work the gen". Instead, it hits him and comes across as me being pretty toxic nodding my head after the hit in what is essentially a 2v1.

    He got servered.

  • You guys are lucky. On PC I was waiting 10 minutes per match and upwards of 15 at times. Rub it in why don't ya.

  • @McLightning said:

If history has shown us anything, it's that survivor exploits are never dealt with accordinly.

Legion bug = people were banned over it.

    Wake up bug = nothing.

That's because the Legion bug held the game hostage. Literally forced you to endlessly hold M1 until the killer came to collect you. Seriously, you can't see the difference?

Oh, and I remember survivors getting banned for the bug that allowed them to land on the top of the gen light on McMillan. The killer could not hit them there. I believe both N00b3 and Monto got banned for that one. So calm your hurt feelings.

I JUST witnessed exactly what you said. A Wraith that hooked someone, went invisible in the corner (literally being extra because he had the perk on that makes you invisible if you stand still) then would tunnel the person off the hook, repeat.

Yeah, I just played a survivor match with my wife and had a Wraith that did the same thing. We left the guy on the hook, did gens, then he came for my wife and she ran him around until gates were open. That is sad because my wife is horrible at looping. Like, really bad. For one, she's legally blind and can barely see on the swamp map, but he was so bad at chasing. Rank 10 and could not beat a legally blind woman with severe arthritis in a chase. lol

Luckily, she did not want to play anymore, so I went back to killer. Had a suicide on first hook, and toyed with the rest until they got the last gen done. Then I killed them. Was called toxic for it. lol

Why are so many people posting threads against the DC penalties? They're good both as a killer and a survivor

I think it stems from guys like the OP. He obviously plays this game to be a griefer. He enjoys ruining other's enjoyment of things and wants them to get upset. There are a lot of survivors and killers that are like that. Unfortunately, BHVR does nothing to dissuade that type of behavior and in some ways encourages it.

Though I despise DCs, and 90% of them were sensitive survivors, there were some who were just tired of being camped or tunneled. THose guys have no choice now.

  • @kazakun said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1084734#Comment_1084734

Naw I don't tunnel unless it's extreme circumstances. I like to have a challenge. Feels more like I'm earning my win. Wasn't tunneling, wasn't camping. No NOED or anything value. Not even whispers or something. No idea barely how to use the killer. I don't know. Maybe they just assumed what I was going to do,or gave up after the first guy left. Last guy was either trying to get points or trolling. All good.

You likely had some overly sensitive survivors that did not want to "lose". It happens unfortunately. I hate when it happens because not only am I cheated, but the other survivors are.

  • Thanks @Foxfire47 Much appreciated.

  • I hate it, but it has its place.

Nobody likes getting DS'ed, but at the same time, I played enough survivor back in the day that I understand its place in the game.

    1. It is nowhere near OP. At most, it could be tweaked to deactivate if the survivor interacts with the locker and reactivate once they leave.
    2. It is a useful tool to counter tunneling, and tunneling is out of control at times. I watch my son play and it is one digger after another. Like all of them are trying to tunnel to China.
    3. If you are eating DS a lot in games, check your play style. It is likely that you are tunneling a bit much. I can count on one hand how many times I've been hit with DS since the change a year ago. I play roughly 15 hours a week and 90% of it is killer. DS is easy to avoid.
    4. There is a rare instance, which is usually when I eat DS, where even non-tunneling killer get hosed by DS. When the door is opened and you are near the door. You down the unhooked survivor and either watch them crawl out in 60 seconds or eat DS. Easy fix: When the last gen is done, DS deactivates.

you could try playing killer and realizing how broken half the ######### is you listed, but naaa why bother.

You don't follow these boards much. I've been a killer main for 2 years now. It is so much better than it was. 4Ks are a norm now. I don't eat 4 DS before getting my first freaking hook. Healing was slowed down a lot, though I'm still not sold on that nerf. I believe the current focus on gens is a result of nerfing the crap out of healing over a year ago.

I've been dealing with the killer role longer than most of the whiney killers on this forum. Not like I play a power killer either. I main Trapper with Pig and Doc as my secondary.

Frankly, I find the whining rather pathetic and in most cases it is by killers who make unrelenting mistakes and blame the game. (Don't think I let survivors off either. Many are toxic little snot-nosed kids who feel they are entitled to everything, but not all of them are.)

So yeah, I revert back to my previous post. Since when is Unbreakable a bad thing? It counters slugging, so what?!

  • Wait...######### did Unbreakable jump in the list of killer crying?! I'm lost. Can I get updates on these? I'm looking at my killer handbook and my list contains DS, Adrenaline, SC (nerfed - all good), BL (Nerfed...want more), DH, Alert, BT, Keys, Boxes, Healers Kits and Maps. Can someone give me a pencil so I can add in Unbreakable? Can I get the talking points on that one too?

  • Insidious is the perk that tells me how toxic the developers are. Seriously. There is zero use for that perk other than camping. The only reason to run it is to camp. Blatant camping is one of the most toxic things a killer can do. No better than azzhat survivor groups that derank, run 3 flashlights and enter a game vs a rank 16 killer just to constantly blind, body block, etc without caring about the objective. Toxic, bullying, and appeals to the worst type of human beings.

The developers clearly support that behavior, or Insidious would not be a thing.

  • I really don't like meta perks in general. When I do play survivor, I don't run Adrenaline, DS, etc, etc. I want to have fun and goof off. I don't plan on living because I'm plagued with toxic teammates and killers. So, I run joke builds.

As killer, I run a build with a purpose. I don't use too many "meta" perks. I was not a big ruin user before the change. I preferred my perks all serve a purpose for my build.

  • @kazakun said:

I really don't get it. Was playing a level 5 Wraith with two garbage perks. One DC'd probably a good 10 mins in,so I don't think it was afk. The second DC'd the first time I hooked him. The third guy died on the hook.

The last guy made me pretty mad tbh. He made no attempt to escape or use the hatch. I had really no way of finding him with my perks. I'm like, dude is completely wasting my time, but I want my points lol.

I think he maybe wanted to farm,or at least have me chase him,but he didn't seem very good so idk. I downed him,and thought about just letting him bleed out since he wanted to waste my time. But I try to be a decent player. The second I hooked him...DC.

I wasn't tunneling or camping at all. I'm not even very good. Was only using Wraith to do a Ritual. I've never seen 3 people DC on a match...any thoughts guys?

Well, how many did you tunnel off the hook with wraith? Seriously, that is the preferred activity of about 70% of wraiths I've seen. So, you might have gotten the first DC from that. The second player is now hooked and knows what you are going to do and just decides the heck with it and DCs. Third player says why bother, and DCs.

Perhaps I'm wrong. I have had players DC within a minute because I down them with Trapper. Boom, DC. Just merely downing them early. I've had others DC after teabagging and getting downed almost immediately.

What I'm saying is, sometimes it is your play style, sometimes it is overly frustrated players. I play with a very different attitude than most killers. I want to have fun, and fun is chasing players, having funny moments, etc. So if I get a DC early, or a suicide on first hook, I tend to take it easy on the remainders. I know how much that sucks as a player and I goof off. I don't expect that from other killers though.

I did get a kick out of a tunneling Wraith who got a DC in the first 60 seconds, and spent the match tunneling one guy after that. We knocked out the gens and destroyed NOED and escaped. He complained about gen rush. Sorry, that was a side note. There was also the survivor who complained after I let him do several gens, then killed him when his party (SWF) all suicided on first hook. He was mad that I did not give him the escape. Sad.

Talking about cherry picking, when you pull 90% out of thin air. You are dead wrong, and especially at red ranks, I would bet my left nut that way more than 10% are sweet fests where gens pop extremely fast. I should know, since I play there. It is not even remotely uncommon to have 2 gens pop first chase and a 3rd on 2nd hook. If the survivors know how to loop properly, no amount of skill will save you. You just lose. That's how this game is structured.

The balance discussion is already a moot point, since the devs are total garbage at it and are only doing it for the money. Space Coconut made a good video about this.

90% is based on my own experience at red ranks with Trapper as my main. Furthermore, you still did nothing to argue the cherry-picked fact. I've watched True and Monto, Zubet, etc for some time as well. 90% of their matches are them owning the crap out of teams. A very small percentage is them getting owned. Furthermore, this video ends in a 3k.

So, again, cherry-picked bs to cover for whiney players who don't want to admit to having bad play styles. Yes, there are some matches that are insanely lopsided against the killer, but so are matches where the killer easily destroys teams as well.

Sorry, but balance is not about the rare video where 4 gens are done in a few minutes and the killer still 3k's. If anything, that shows the game has more balance than you think. No, balance considers the bulk of the players and what is going on there.

  • @ZoneDymo said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1082699#Comment_1082699

Not to mention, Trapper shines in endgame if you are playing him properly.

I agree. It's about getting that snowball rolling downhill.

  • Another cherry-picked video from an obnoxious streamer who plays the game for a living. He has between 10 to 20 matches during a stream and one of them fits the narrative so we use that to prove our point.

If you change gen times, you throw 90% of the game out of whack in order to balance for 10% of your players. This may work in an esport game, but not a casual game where you need to maximize participation and purchase.

I've had matches where 3 gens pop before my third trap is in hand. Those are rare matches, but they do happen. Those are not my normal match.

  • Whining is what is killing this game. Nobody wants to account for their own errors.

You know, it's funny because killers are right when they say NOED lighting up is the survivors fault. But they fail to see their own faults and mistakes and how many matches end in their 0 to 1k because they tunneled too hard, or camped too much, or zeroed in on long chases in areas where there were no gens, etc, etc.

This game has a larger per capital group of whiners than any game I've seen. These forums are nothing more than a salt factory.

  • This is a joke posting, right? We are not really moving on to Milky Glass addon. Tell me we are not this low....

  • I'd be happy with a truly spooky killer with the ability to shorten loops. Something simple, with jump scares and intimidating.

A vampire with limited celerity ( ability to move in the blink of an eye) would be cool. He starts out looking normal and becomes more monstrous as he hit survivors. Gains base movement with each death. Granted more celerity when he hooks alternating survivors. He basically snowballs.

  • Trapper - He is old school. He gives lots of scare moments through hi trap use. He can be very strategic if the player is willing to adapt. If my window traps are not working, maybe I'll trick you with both an obvious and not so obvious setup. I'll leave the window trap, but hide one in the grass nearby so you feel the window is safe after you disarm it.

I love watching people walk slowly through the grass while being paranoid of traps.

I just wish he got a boost by being able to carry one extra trap as base kit. He is way too slow in the beginning and it is nearly impossible to catch up vs a good SWF. You have zero room for error.

Doc and Piggy are my second with Shape and Fred a close third.

  • I've been trying to think of ways to create alternative objectives without hosing over the mid and low rank survivors. How about a selfish objective? If the survivors clear all the totems before the final gen is done, the hatch will spawn. The hatch can then be opened by one person using a 20 second timer and skill checks. It allows that one person to escape, and then closes again.

  • I'd rather see the survivor ranks as killer - so I know whether to take my foot off the pedal vs low rank survivors.

    Or

See the killer's name so I know whether to just dodge the match because I know this guy face camps every match. Yep, I think that should be a thing. Personally, I have no problem with people seeing my name before a match. Those who know me know I'm going to play aggressive, but I'm not going to play toxic.

  • @Dwinchester said:

On the flip side, I just had a match on rotten fields as huntress. Commodious tool box, no mither, prove thyself. Gens were done in about 4 minutes. Entity displeased. Under 10k blood points.

That's funny because my wife and I had a match on Coldwind with a Huntress last night. She brought in Irid Axe Head, and Eboni Mori. Before we touch a gen, we get a DC. Great. She downs the first guy within 20 seconds and he suicides on hook immediately. We get a gen done, she proceeds to chase my wife. I get another gen done, she downs my wife. Then she camps her. Outright face camps her. She clearly has a belt so she gets 2 insta-down hatches. I do 2 more gens. Wife dies on hook, I escape via hatch. She proceeds to call me toxic for not going to get my wife off the hook.

a 2v1, we get 4 gens done. She face camps my wife (who is the furthest you can get from a toxic player. She'll run back in to die if 4 are going to escape because she feels bad for the killer) with insta-down hatches and a eboni mori and she calls me toxic for not being dumb enough to go for the save?! That was a boring match, but funny.

Oh, we brought no items in. We already had a killer get triggered and tunnel me the whole match because I brought...wait for it....a healer's kit. Kid you know. He went off on me after the match over a healer's kit. WTH is wrong with people?!

  • @Blueberry said:

I run into a facecamp once every maybe 20 matches, if that. Quite rare.

I think a lot of people confuse facecamp and proximity camp. Proximity camp is very possible to save from.

I think the title is quite exaggerated. Survivor is quite an easy and relaxing experience in the games current balance.

I think you are overselling as well. Survivor is anything but relaxing. Camping is much more common than 1 in 20 as well. I moved to killer two years ago because of how bad camping and tunneling is. I play survivor only when my wife plays. For whatever ungodly reason, she has wanted to play lately. Out of a total of 27 survivor matches over the past two weeks. Maybe 8 were without a hardcore tunnel (Chase for several minutes, wait just outside of TR for unhook and chase them down again. Repeat for third hook). Camping is any time the killer's TR never leaves the hook and he remains in sight of the hook.

For experienced players, sure, there are ways around camping, but those are not fun matches. They are annoying has holy hel* and require no skill by the killer. Most of the time, the killer doing it is just trying to harass and get a rise out of the survivors. There is zero value/efficiency in camping from the first hook on. You fully depend on the stupidity of an opponent in that scenario.

I'd rather play killer a thousand times and face SWF every time than play survivor - but, we do what we do for our spouses.

I'm a rank 2 (was 1, but had a couple bad matches last night where I totally brain-farted and lost pips) as killer and will never go back to being a survivor. BP is better. The experience of play is better. I don't have to worry about having a boring match because a snot-nosed kid is camping with LF or tunneling with Wraith.

    Flashlight/Pallet Saves in 1.9.2 - deadbydaylight

    https://www.reddit.com/r/deadbydaylight/comments/7xsyoh/flashlightpallet_saves_in_192/

Bud, I've been playing for 3 years. This community has been one crying, whining, divided pos the whole time. What do they have to work with? Trust me, I think the dev team is an absolute joke with no vision or quality control function, but the community does not help any. Killers blame devs for being survivor biased. Survivors blame devs for killer bias. They nerf both sides and screw up the nerfs. They introduce new perks that are a nightmare (MoM) and everyone warns them. Then they nerf it into an absolute joke.

The community does not deserve quality work until they stop the stupid killer vs survivor whining.

  • Stupid posts like this are why we have a huge divide and will never see real improvements in the game. The Devs can't get any middle ground from the players.

Just do bones. No need for nerf or buff. You can't do bones, then it's your problem, not a balancing problem.

If they nerf NoEd they should nerf DS and BT during EGC.

As I said a million times, I don't care about NOED. I use it in some end game builds. There is a problem where NOED becomes a crutch for bad or toxic killers. When you have a face camping killer, the agreed cure is gen rush, but NOED kicks in and rewards the killer with extra kills. If you take time to bone hunt it rewards the bully with extra kills.

Anyone being honest with themselves knows most hardcore campers are merely trying to grief and bully players. I think NOED only enables them more, which I find regrettable. Tying a hook minimum to NOED with a guaranteed spawn of the hex totem actually strengthens the perk while handicapping griefers.

If we all agree that DS is an anti tunnel perk, then there would be no problem if it disabled itself when the survivior starts completing objectives? Unhooking, healing, repairing, etc.

You are not getting tinneled as a survivior if you are doing these things.

I'd agree with that, if DS was not a one time use perk. Part of the problem is the survivor moves away from the hook for 3 seconds and starts healing, but the killer already returned to hook and followed the blood trail and tunnels anyways. Thus your version of DS disengages when self healing starts, but they are tunneles anyway.

The only thing DS needs is to deactivate within lockers or when gates are opened. Otherwise it is absolutely fine and tunneling killers can whine all they want.

I feel like you accidentally stumbled across the problem without even noticing it. Ruin was crippling to low and mid rank survivors. The ruin change acted to hoist these same survivors up. All of a sudden, you get survivors who cant run a chase to save their lives mixed in because its easier for them to pip up, even if they didnt actually get any better. I can stomp on newbies all day who've been given a red rank, I have no doubt about that. I can ALSO stomp on their rank 14 teammates who are still coming into my lobbies.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/448/0SF4YZRL8DX5.jpg

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/344/ZS5MICL2BK88.jpg

This was about a week before the ruin changes, where I ended up stomping on a group of survivors that were pretty much scared to touch gens. Game was over fast with only a single gen being done. This game doesnt at all properly illustrate how games at the higher ranks should go, but now...

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/201/81YTNR7FQZMM.jpg

This was a screenshot on rotten fields. Judging by the ranks, you might assume these guys did WAY better...but that wasnt the case at all. Still kept seeing survivors on my BBQ running on the opposite side of the map from where any gens were so they could heal up. Still managed to score loads of hits because although the ranks are better...they werent any better at actually leading chases. They DID manage to get 3 gens done as oppose to just 1 (im guessing the boxes factored into that abit), so these guys who gave me all sorts of free hits and went down again after 3 seconds of me recovering from a DS stun... They're gonna get queued up for ANOTHER match where their in over their heads, unless the matchmaker screws up again and tosses em a rank 14 killer.

Point being, the ruin change is just hoisting bad survivors up ranks for killers at that rank to stomp on. Its been the case that rank in DBD doesnt mean much, and thats even more the case now. Throw in a busted matchmaker... I can show you screenshots of me stomping teams that shouldnt be in my lobby all day whether they have a red rank icon or not.

This just ends up coming as a quick 180 when you get a team of actual good survivors stomps the killer into the ground, even though they have the exact same ranks as the team before them. Am I saying I should win every game, gimme my 4ks? Course not. Im saying I dont wanna be stomping on newer players who shouldnt be in my lobby, and I'd like the comparisons for these matches to be fair. Show how it works against decent teams who WERENT just given the ranks.

I suppose the silver lining though is I get to play around with lesser killers due to the likelihood of me finding teams out of their depth. I always enjoyed playing as Myers for example, even at high ranks at have always done pretty well with him...

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/802/OM21ECT89E2Z.jpg

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/946/ZSEI0886JALY.jpg

Legion though has always been a huge migraine that I quickly regret whenever I think of a build that could be fun, only to get reminded...its still Legion. Now though, even with Legion I can clean house as long as the teams arnt ACTUALLY good.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/263/68SMSFJXM455.jpg

sidenote, this game was alot of memeing around from the survivors, it just happened to be the only screenshot I had on hand of a Legion matchup. The build you see is what I've been running to 4k alot.

    @NMCKE thoughts on this?

Based on your logic, bad killers were boosted by old ruin. That's right, if old ruin outright crippled mid to low rank survivors, that meant mediocre killers were boosted to higher ranks where they could not deal with skilled survivors and would then come to these forums crying about gen times, DS, Adrenaline, BT, and other "Meta" perks.

In reality, that means new ruin is a chance for those boosted killers to learn adaptive skills sooner, thus balancing out boosted survivors who have to learn to run killers sooner than they do bow.

In other words, the change will be good in the long run once boosted players learn to adapt. Thanks for helping me clear that up.

  • There is only one thing I'd like to see happen to NOED. I would like them to add a prerequisite to its activation.

    1. Once the killer has obtained his 5th hook (Could be 4th), the entity rewards his efforts by creating a special totem that is added to the map when the final gen is completed.
    2. This totem is added to the map no matter how many totems remain.

Yes, this means there is no more defeating NOED by clearing all the totems. Instead, the killer is rewarded for getting several hooks in the game. What this would do is make NOED dependable for many killers, but it would also hose over campers and tunnelers who rely on NOED to secure extra kills. I've seen many groups destroyed because Bubba is face camping again and they hit the gens, which is the prescribed way to defeat the camp, only to see 2-3 more go down to NOED. Bubba would need to spread the love to get NOED to spawn, so face camping 1-2 survivors won't cut it.

Would this make NOED too strong? Possibly. It would need to be tested. The ability to get NOED with 5 hooks no matter how many totems remain could be a pretty powerful situation. 5 Hooks is not that hard in most matches either.

It shouldn’t activate off any grab (especially lockers, DS makes them way too safe) and if you hook another Survivor first. If the Killer managed to down both of you in 60 seconds, then someone made a mistake or the Killer just outplayed both you. Your teammates should also be working on gens while this is happening.

If I want to tunnel off the hook, I can down 2 survivors within 60 seconds easily. Especially with no BT. Smack the unhook as they get down, then chase the rescuer. Not hard, and does not take a lot of skill.

Your scenario depends way too much on coordinated teams. Most teams, even SWFs are not this coordinated. I played survivor with the wife last night and almost every time I got hooked, my wife was the only one on gens. Why? Match making is crap. Rank 16s with purple ranks.

I agree perhaps with DS not triggering out of a locker grab. The others, I disagree with. Window and pallet grabs should still trigger it. That is an act of being tunneled down by the killer, which is the purpose of the perk. Now, I do think the perk should deactivate once the gates are opened. That would eliminate the late game situation where even a non-tunneling killer gets hosed over.

I made a post 3 gens in 1:45 min gen rush is real and those who say other wise are either survivor mains or just ignorant

He fails to mention the dozen or so noob mistakes he makes in the beginning and he stil 4k'ed the match. Cry a river man.

  • Yes, I'm aware of that. That is also a very rare occasion. I've been playing killer for two years. The new version of DS has cost me maybe a handful of games since the change. The old DS cost me scores of games due to getting DS'd four times before the first hook. More times than now, DS hits tunneling killers more than anyone else. The occasional victim is like in the video above. You can point to several perks that screw over players like that though. How NOED that costs the survivor who cleansed 4 totems by himself, but because of circumstances beyond his control, he is the one who dies, not the others who did nothing.

There are lots of perks we can say create situations like this, as in a no win scenario. That does not betray the fact that DS's most effective use is as an anti-tunnel perk. How many times do killers tell survivors on this forum that if they don't like tunneling, run DS, that is what it is there for. Irony....

  • No, not bait. If you have seen any of my previous conversations, I have been discussing the differences with people. Example: I have short timers as survivor, but someone else has long ones. I'm on PC in midwest NA while they are on X-Box in SA. Your region and platform have more to do with timers than anything.

Que times are not the same across the board. I've been waiting 15 minutes a match during primetime for killer. Up to 20 minutes now.

  • As survivor - Nothing. Que is usually less than a minute, no more than 3

As killer - I watch Netflix, or sports. I can fit in most of a 30 minute episode. I've also started doing woodwork projects in between. Stained a bookshelf today between three matches. lol Might as well be useful.

  • Guaranteed to be smurf accounts. You see this on PC as well. Just losers who don't want to face people of their skill level and want to feed on new players because they are easy prey. It is one of the faults in this game. They stay at that rank and won't move up.

  • I despise streamers, but don't do anything special. I think I'd have a better "feeling" towards streamers if my account was masked in their streams.

Red rank killers largely left, so the red rank survivor containment protocol was breached.

Is this on platforms? I keep hearing that this has happened, but I'm honestly not seeing anything of it. My que times as red rank killer are still 15 minutes plus. My que times as green/purple survivor are less than 3 minutes. The mach making has been crap for months. Heck, during December I was getting matches with all green rank survivors and even rank 19s.

  • Bermuda shirt for Trapper and Billy. Bathing suit for Huntress. Wraith gets a lifeguard outfit, complete with sunblock on his nose. Legion gets dunce caps and Bernie Sanders shirts.

David King gets a cool Biker jacket

    Ace gets an Elvis costume

Meg gets a beach hula wrap and top (She seems like the spring break type)

    Jane gets a moo-moo.

  • I never use em. I have over a 100 on Trapper alone. That said, 10 survivor matches and 10 moris with the wife. Nuts. lol

What do you mean you are afking in the basement, hows that help with progressing with the rift? Im curious lol

I keep hearing about survivor lobbies taking forever, yet my killer lobby is 20 minutes today, and 15 last night. Played survivor with my wife and it was less than 5 minutes. Where are these bad lobbies?

EDIT: Playing on PC - Killer Rank 2, Survivor Rank 10

  • I'll tell ya what. My wife keeps wanting me to play survivor, and I hate that role. The amount of sweaty killers running NOED and Eboni Mori is nuts. Add that to the horrible match making where I'm getting rank 19 survivors in groups and it is miserable.

I played killer last night, and the survivor play was sad as well. Blowing up gens, can't loop, and hiding in corners. Not sure what is going on, but it is weird. Are the killers trying to play survivor? lol

  • DS is fine. Seriously, all this whining about DS is sad. In the last 8 matches, I have come across 17 DS survivors. I was hit with it one time at the end of the game. I've 4k'ed in 5 of the matches. 3k'ed in the other 3.

If you are getting swarmed with DS, maybe you should think about the tunneling. DS is all but an anti-tunnel perk. It is intended to annoy killers who tunnel. It is working as intended.

  • I sometimes make mini-games when the normal game bores me.

    1. Protect the totem - Used to play this with old Ruin. If the totem ended up in the shack or a building, I'd trap it up with Hag and just try to protect it. Many times there would be a full on assault to get the totem. It was a version of king of the porch if you will. When the survivors catch on and play along, it is a lot of fun. Usually, everyone lives and I still zero pip and get tons of bp.
    2. I play toy collector: Load up Franklin's and focus on just keeping all items in the match when they escape. I will load up NOED, just to scare people into leaving at the end. I usually don't hook many, and have yet to kill anyone during this. It's meant to just be fun and goof around. The best version was 2 Bill's that were determined to get their tool box and flashlight back. They ignored the gens and completely focused on that. In the end, I had a nice toolbox and flashlight.
    3. Jealous Girlfriend - If I have 2 guys and 2 girls as survivors, I'll load up Huntress and try to keep both men on the ground. The goal is to kill the two men, without tunneling and chase the girls out. It usually ends up pretty fun. I even had an Ace volunteer to stay back. He said Huntress looked so sad all alone in there, so he came back and died next to me.
